Mmm, ketchup?

OK, I know that lots of folks love socks. Do you have a preference of length? Materials? Patterns? ...every sock, ever. Just as long as they're not boring white! I tend to go for knee-thigh high as I wear a lot of skirts. Also, <3 tights, leggings and everything layerable. I like loose wool socks (for layering) but otherwise prefer cotton. Dream Costume. Too many to list. O_O I really want to dress up as Lolth from D&D some year, because I'm that much of a geek. I still don't know what I want to be this year. How do you feel about recipes? If I send you something home made would you like the recipe for it? How about home made mixes or kits? I love the idea of all of these! I've always wanted to try one of those jar recipe kits. (Either to make one or to... make one. ) Would you enjoy homemade bath products (bath salts, fizzies, etc.) and/or linen sprays? Esp. if scented with some of your favorite BPAL scents? Sure! For holidays, do you decorate? Would you like decorative stuff, weenie or otherwise? If so, do you lean towards the elegant, the crafty/folksy, or the more, erm, campy? I don't really decorate beyond putting something like a wreath or cut-out on the door. For Halloween I like bat cut-outs. What interests you from the latest lab update? Pretty much everything. ;_;

Hello, dear witch! Here's more info for ya: How do you feel about recipes? Love them, collect them, read them, test them! What kind of a cook/baker are you? Slightly inept and very enthusiastic Are you happiest calling for delivery or microwaving a lean cuisine, or will Food Network be asking you to host their new program? I only use my microwave for popcorn or re-heating. The last time I called a pizza place (or any other food delivery place) was in college. Food Network will NOT be pursuing me, however. If I send you something home made would you like the recipe for it? of course! If you are someone who doesn't want baked goods sent, would you like a collection of some of my favorite recipes? I would love both baked goods and/or recipes. How about home made mixes or kits? Kind of like the cookie in a jar thing, where you would need to add the perishable ingredients? Not so much... Dollar store trinkets? I like silly refrigerator magnets; other stuff, not so much. Word magnets? I would love this! It would be great for the filing cabinets in my office at work. Crafting vs buying? Whatever you want to do would be great by me! Would you like stuff that's not on your wishlist but that you think your witchee would like? Yes!! My witch has already come up with wonderful suggestions. Socks? I love socks--crew length, warm, cotton, wool, non-itchy acrylic, wild colors and silly patterns. 9/15/10 How do you feek about silly, funny knick-knack, dollar store stuff, stickers, magnets etc? Would you like receiving that kind of stuff or rather not? A Little is fun, too much is clutter. Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to? It changes so often, cause books are something I spend $ on. Used is good too. Do you read mangas/watch animes? Which ones? Do you have a particular favourite? Would you like to receive managas or anything related to them? Don't really get into it, although I like the darker end of the graphic novel stuff. Are you open to receiving things that are not on your wishlist, maybe something your Witch thinks you might like? Completely fine--it wouldn't be fair otherwise since I am so bad about wishlists and stuff If you have something on a wishlist that we could craft INSTEAD of buying, though it might not end up identical to the wishlist thing, would it be okay to craft it instead? Obviously we don't want to copy anyone else's design, but if we can replicate the flavour or intent that you like without stepping on toes? Yes!! I love other people's art/craft work, and something from my witch would be extra special. OK, I know that lots of folks love socks. Do you have a preference of length? Materials? Patterns? Or do you just plan on ordering individual items? I've never done an inquisition(bad BPALer..no imps) And haven't even looked at the updates. Any stray $ is going to spoiling the witchee. 9/14/10 Chocolate or other types of candy? No candy corn, no marshmello peeps. Chocolate is a wonderful thing. Also caramel, peanut butter, honey, and gummi worms. Designer chocolate or unusual candy would be fun. Dried ginger with no added sugar is love. (A scent where even a tester would do) I would almost not test something really rare, because I'm I would love it and I already love several discontinued scents--that said, any of the "standard" rares would be fun, as I have not tried any of them except Buck Moon--which I love unfortunately. Let's say, hypothetically speaking, that you have some children/spawn (1 or more), and, hypothetically speaking, your witch would like to spoil them a little but knows nothing of kids these days. What do they like or dislike? Also is there anything a (sane) adult might think they would like that you don't think is appropriate for whatever reason? (I'm thinking of things like temp tattoos, make up, things that make noise, or anything else that might be bad for non-obvious reasons.)No Spawn thank the gods. Is there anything you would like that can be delivered over the internet? Things like fanfic recs, cat macros, mp3s you are looking for, how-to or amusing videos, things like that. I am embarrassed to admit that i have no mp3 player, don't read fanfic, and have no idea what cat macros are. Sure, If I don't like it my partner might. If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Don't actually expect any BPAL. If it has a significance to me of my witch that she wants to share that is different. Here's the breakdown 5mls- Mabon 2010 Samhain 2010 Jolly Roger Jabberwocky Kali IMPS!!!!- The Witches Repast, Death Cap, Midnight, Villain, Bastet, Bien loin D'ici Some of those are for the man, and it was 122 dollars of dent in my account, but who cares??? Stuff like that can be cool, but I'd prefer quality over quantity. =) (quality doesn't just mean value...I'm talking more about the thought/effort put into a gift, if that makes sense) Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to? Apart from the sets of books already mentioned, I can't think of anything. Do you read mangas/watch animes? Which ones? Do you have a particular favourite? Would you like to receive managas or anything related to them? I've got the Final Fantasy anime series, but that's it. I'd love to watch some of the Studio Ghibli films, actually. I've been meaning to ever since I worked at the DVD store, but never got around to it. I'd also love to have a look at mangas because I want to learn Japanese again and they would make fantastic material for my origami. Are you open to receiving things that are not on your wishlist, maybe something your Witch thinks you might like? YES!!! That's my favourite thing about things like this whole thing!!! I really believe this should be about more than just ticking off a wishlist, and more thinking about what you can get for your witchee that she/he may never have even thought of. If you have something on a wishlist that we could craft INSTEAD of buying, though it might not end up identical to the wishlist thing, would it be okay to craft it instead? OK, I know that lots of folks love socks. Do you have a preference of length? Materials? Patterns? Things that fit my weird feet/calves. I do need some taller socks to wear with my 14 hole Docs...They don't entirely lace closed properly so the skin/socks are still visible a bit, so something funky to wear would be nice. But finding things for wide calves is quite hard. How do people feel about word magnets I don't have any, but they look interesting. If you could have any costume, or if you aren't into costumes, necklace or other accessory, from any movie character, what would it be? Can't think right now, but it would probably be from a sci-fi or action or goth/vampire movie, if that helps. How do you feel about samples/decants of things other than BPAL? I mean, I love samples, but usually I get ones from companies in the US which means it's expensive or impossible to get more, which is kinda sad when the product is really nice! So a full size means that I can enjoy it for a while. =) What are you guys going to be aiming for in the Inquisition? Or do you just plan on ordering individual items? I'm still thinking about whether I can afford to order (because it will require organising an Aussie group order...effory....) but I'm thinking of just getting individual things because none of the set combos are must haves. I have tons of scarves, and I don't mind more. =) I tend to prefer the thinner and lighter ones, and while I do own shawls, I don't wear them that often because they get in the way of my arms. I'm a little bit like Claudia Donovan from Warehouse 13 (tv show) but I'd like to be more confident like she is. I also really identifed with Elspeth from the Obernewtyn Chronicles books when I was a teenager. Is there anything you need for your kitchen, ie measuring cups, spoons, grater, ect? I love random kitchen gadgets! I need an apple corer, and I could always use more tea implements like strainers and pots and things. Music, DO you prefer Live or Studio? Edited or explicit? Recorded usually, but live if it's good. I like live DVDs and music video DVDs about equally. Music videos can be really interesting to watch, like little films in their own right, sometimes. And non-edited please! If the artist wanted certain words in their music, then they should be left in! If you are an animal lover, is there a specific type/breed that you love most? I love dogs, and in particular border collies and belgian shepherds. I rent at the moment so I can't have a dog (and can't really afford one, honestly) but I do love dogs and wish I could spend more time with them. My family dog (belgian shepherd) died a couple of years ago, on xmas eve, and I didn't get to say goodbye to her because I lived a long way from my parents. Would you like receiving that kind of stuff or rather not? I am not a knick nack person unless its something of one on my anime and even then I try very hard to ONLY buy things I can't LIVE without. Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to? oh man I am on a “broke no book” policy right now. I can not WAIT for November when I plan on going absolutely CRAZY Do you read mangas/watch animes? Which ones? Do you have a particular favorite? Would you like to receive managas or anything related to them? *GRABY HANDS* Oh man the current no money for books thing has me so behind on these. I have SERIES of books. Did I remember to link my librarything account in my questionaire? If not feel free to ask for it or heck look for me I have the same name over there. I have favorite mangas I am a weakling when it comes to pretty pretty boys. Are you a foodie? In terms of eating food, yes. In BPAL terms, no, with an exception for vanilla. Would you enjoy homemade bath products (bath salts, fizzies, etc.) and/or linen sprays? Esp. if scented with some of your favorite BPAL scents? Sure! I have a shower and a tub. If you witch made you something and it didn't come out just right, would you still want it? Of course. And I bet that I wouldn’t even notice unless you pointed it out. Do you like journals/notebooks/sketchbooks? Yes, I love little cute notebooks because I make lists all the time. If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Haha of course, because I think we all know I’m not actually in danger of FINISHING all my legions of perfume. Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? I would love something made by my Witch. But don’t feel bad if you’re not crafty, Witch, I’m not either! Who is your favorite soap etailer? I have to say my all time fave is Lush, and I have enjoyed some Arcana. I have some of Haus of Gloi’s other products, but I haven’t tried their soap (looks good) and I also think Paintbox Soapworks looks so good. What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? I pretty much wear all kinds. I wear brights and neutrals. I guess my staples would be eyeshadow, eyeliner, and lipgloss/stick. I love Urban Decay but I’m open to trying anything that’s vegan. Fyrinnae is vegan. I have some of their eyeshadow samples and I love them too. What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc etc? Hello, my darling Witch! Thanks so much for the birthday present! It was the perfect thing! Especially because I got a trip for my birthday this year and was away from home on the day. So while it was a really nice time, and very special, yours was my only actual prezzie so far! I used it today to put towards a sundial ring pendant. His books are full of poignant quotes that ring so true to me. My favourite is The Pleasure of My Company, but I also love Shopgirl and his plays. I think he has a new novel I haven't read yet, called An Object of Beauty. His nonfiction is also good, but nowhere near as amazing as his fiction. I will be back with a selection of quotes of his that I love, because I simply can't just rattle one off and be done with it. If you have something on a wishlist that we could craft INSTEAD of buying, though it might not end up identical to the wishlist thing, would it be okay to craft it instead? Of course! Chocolate or other types of candy? Is this a vs? I like candy and chocolate; especially real black licorice, dark chocolate, and anything gummy, blackberry, black currant, or raspberry flavored. For tea drinkers, do you prefer loose leaf or tea bags? either/or If you would enjoy something of a knitted persuasion, do you have a preference on type of thing? Since making a scarf for someone who has 10 might be a smidge excessive? Also, how do people feel about shawls? You can never have to many shawls. Shawls are awesome. I also like leg and arm warmers. I dont' really wear beenies. But if you make it, I will. Is there a TV, movie or literary character that you are a lot alike, or would like to be alike? I used to idolize Pippi Longstocking as a small child (okay, kind of now, too...), my sixth grade teacher told me I reminaded her of Anne(of Green Gables)-- but I think that was because we didn't get along. My friend group convinced me to play as Orihime from Bleach on the basis that we were very alike, and thus little cosplay would be involved. I don't know about that, but I'm that group's "Orihime" now. In college, I was compared to both Goldberry and Galadriel(such high praise, I know). The Goldberry I can see, maybe? I don't know. I don't tend to think of myself as anything other than me. Which is kind of boring, I admit. Is there anything you need for your kitchen, ie measuring cups, spoons, grater, ect? Probably. But other than the spices I'm currently out of, I can't think of much. I'd love any of those fancy metal mold things for cakes and puddings? Or, as someone else said, an apron. Not that I ever remember to wear one. But I like the idea of aprons. Music, do you prefer Live or Studio? Edited or explicit? It depends. I like the crispness of studio, but some of my favorite artists have music they perform only in live instances, and it is awesome. Also, songs like Stephen Lynch does are probably more awesome with the audience reaction in them. I like my lyrics unmessed-with, with rare exception. If you are an animal lover, is there a specific type/breed that you love most? Dogs: Akita, greyhound, Irish Wolfhound Cats: Cornish Rex, Sphynx, Abyssinian; but my mogs are made of Love, and I would not trade them for purebreds. Random animals: Hedgehogs, seals, herons, dolphins, macaques-- there are very few animals I dislike, actually. Also flowers and plants- If you like flowers/plants, do you have a favorite(s)? Wow, the only possible things that could be longer than a list of animals or manga/anime... I like plants. I think my favorite flower is a type of bistort. It will be the same characters from last year's story, two books later. Weeeee! And some from 9/13 Do you hate any food things with a passion?? mold cheeses(kill it with fire), Hershey's chocolate bars-- you don't want to know. (And maybe not with a fiery passion, but:) onion pieces(it's the texture, not the flavor, pickled baby onions, and powder is okay; funyuns are delicious, for example), garlic in quantity, bell peppers or peppers, beets(tomatoes and beets both tast a lot like blood to me, so I may be allergic to beets as well, but I am so not eating them again to find out). And I don't eat things that live in my garden; no frogs' legs, no snail. Nuh uh. I'm a picky eater. I'm sorry! But I love lots of things it seems pretty common for people to hate, so that makes up for it. Maybe? Okay, you know, aside from statuary, I'm having a hard time coming up with decorative only things available in the dollar section, so I think you're good. Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to? Far too many. I'm working on that. Someday, I won't be three years behind on Xanth. Do you read mangas/watch anime? Which ones? Do you have a particular favourite? Would you like to receive manga or anything related to them? I like natural fibers(bamboo socks, woo!), ankle, knee, over the knee, Thigh high(but I have thick thighs, so this doesn't always go well), slouchie. Fun socks are cool, regular socks are cool, the socks that have those arch hugging things are awesome. I'm not being very helpful here, am I? How do people feel about word magnets? I love them, but have not much space to put them right now. If you could have any costume, or if you aren't into costumes, necklace or other accessory, from any movie character, what would it be? I have no idea... I'm, umm, kind of curvy, yet for some reason am very attracted to things you might see on a couture runway. Hmm, I guess Victorian modern type things, pretty corsets and foofy gowns, fabrics with beautiful movement. This is a big part of why the steampunk aesthetic is attractive to me, I think. So if I could have any kind of costume stuff, I would like shiny, pretty, faery things. Yes... How do you feel about samples/decants of things other than BPAL? Soap slices, lotion/scrub/shower gel decants, single use make-up/beauty products, etc. That would be awesome. I like to try new things. What are you guys going to be aiming for in the Inquisition? Or do you just plan on ordering individual items? I'm torn on the Inquisition(seriously, am I the only one who sees Mel Brooks dancing every time that word shows up?), partially because of being broke, and partially because, the idea of bonuses is awesome(white pumpkin, woo!), but I have no bath, and would not use patchouli bath oil if I did. I maybe will get Sluagh and/or an an t-Samhuinn soap. Maybe. But it's fine if I don't, because I have a lot of gorgeous stuff to please my nose with already.

Also, how do people feel about shawls? I don't know how I feel about shawls. I have knitted things on my etsy favourites, maybe there is a style there that can be discerned. LOL The only thing I am weird about is I don't like "superhero" stuff. Nick is really into Avatar the Last Airbender, though. I don't like the character thing in general all that much but I hate the "violence is the best solution to all problems!" mentality of superhero stuff. Things like fanfic recs, cat macros, mp3s you are looking for, how-to or amusing videos, things like that I don't know, specifically, but sure. What would your last meal be if it could be anything in the world (sky is the limit, drinks too, the whole shebang) This is so hard. I suppose I would want tiny bites of everything. A little rare steak, a little buttery lobster, a little proscuitto, a little jamon serrano, a little provolone, a little bunch of olives, a couple bites of pasta, a slice of homemade bread, a tiny bit of brie, a sip of tortilla soup, a nibble of prik king, a touch of pad seeu, a bite of allenville corn, a bite of fried potato, a bowl of perfect fruits, a little something chocolate, a bite of tiramisu, and sips of wine to go with everything. NaNoWriMo? Yes, last year was my first time. It was intense.

Favorite snack: Goji berries( as long as they're good quality soft ones). Dried apple without added sugar. Salted roasted sunflower sees. Medjool dates. Nail polish: YES! I think The Lab has a dark silver one I'd love. Best colors for me- silver/gray, taupe. Halloween plans: None this year. Halloween decorations: Yes, I have a collection that comes out every year. I go for vintage looking Halloween stuff. Mortar and pestle: I have a very nice suribachi used for miso. That's all i need. What hobby/craft would you like to learn how to do? My arts/crafts right now are sewing, paper arts. I'd like to get back into knitting and start with small dolls, scarves small projects. Also like to learn the japanese crochet amigurumi. And crocheting with metal wire jewelry. I only know how to do chain stitch in crochet. Picky about wish list? I hope it really just gives you an idea of what I like. Do you wear make up? Nope. If you are a crafter, would you like to receive supplies from your witch (beads, fabric, yarn/roving etc?) OH BOY WOULD I! I love receiving antique bits and pieces of lace, beads, fabrics. If you could see one concert right now, who would it be? Chieftans For tea drinkers, do you prefer loose leaf or tea bags? Tea Bags . I drink Green Tea, Dandelion Tea, Burdock Tea and Roasted Barley Tea. Had to give up coffee. Chocolate or other types of candy? Ah, I gave up chocolate too. But I do like Ricola Honey Drops, Ricola Elderberry and Ricola Cranberry. Hard to find except on their website. Also, how do people feel about shawls? LOVE them. Rich earth tones, paisleys. What interests you from the latest lab update? Everything. Seriously my lust list is so long from the last couple updates it’s obscene! I’m just going to add it to my wishlist, which I promise will be updated by tonight. How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? Love it. I don’t need much in the way of note cards, but I ALWAYS need note pads, sticky notes, things like that. I also adore pens! Usually gel ink and in the funkiest colors I can find. Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) Sure. Not a lot, but if you make something you think is a sure winner, I’d love to try it! I am allergic to onion, though. If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? They are my favorite!!! I love the bottles and artwork, so I really do like them better than imps. Would you like something you have to make yourself? Kits are fun, If you think it’s something I’d like, than I would love to give it a try. Also, if you are a super crafter and think I would like to learn something new I would love a kit that you put together yourself. Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? Making it yourself makes it better! Anything on my wishlists is just there to show you the types of things I would like and gravitate towards. I never would expect you to purchase something from my wish list specifically. Who is your favorite soap etailer? That is a dangerous question! I love Paintbox’s Sorbetto Scrubs, and I love Villaines Whipped. Those are the two biggies. Generally, I’m not a huge bar soap fan because I’ve never found one that doesn’t dry out my already alligator like skin. I really enjoy the sample size soaps and have 3 or 4 at any given time at all my sinks. It takes me FOREVER to use up a big bar, so the sample sizes are just about right. What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc etc? LOVE! Most of my house is decorated in “vintage” (such a nice euphemism for junk!) I especially like old kitchen gadgets, and red trimmed enamel ware. With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? I used to wear Merle Norman, then my former Witch introduced me to mineral makeup, so I’m just starting to get into that, and I’d always welcome more to try. How do you feek about silly, funny knick-knack, dollar store stuff, stickers, magnets etc? Sounds Fun to me!!! I love crazy wacky silly stuff Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to? Hmm.. I’ve been wanting to read some Lovecraft. Haven’t had the time to get out and buy any of them. Plus I’m not sure where to start. Do you read mangas/watch animes? Nope, I hardly have time to watch regular TV Would you like to receive managas or anything related to them? I wouldn’t mind, but I wouldn’t be sure as to what I’m getting Are you open to receiving things that are not on your wishlist, maybe something your Witch thinks you might like? Oh of course!!! I don’t expect any witch of mine to get stuff exclusively from my WL. There’s no fun in that. I like the element of surprise If you have something on a wishlist that we could craft INSTEAD of buying, though it might not end up identical to the wishlist thing, would it be okay to craft it instead? Of course!! I’d love it that much more too! OK, I know that lots of folks love socks. Do you have a preference of length? Materials? Patterns? Oooooo socks!!
