massive condiments!

If you witch made you something and it didn't come out just right, would you still want it? Flaws have character!   Are you a foodie? Not to any extreme degree. If I have the opportunity, I would far rather hike to the farmer's market for local produce, but I'm not the sort who will refuse to eat something that isn't seasonal, etc.   Are you interested in mini bottles(under 100ml for hand luggage) of bath and body products? I have SO MUCH bath and body crap in my closet that if I never bought another bottle, I could probably go five years before I ran out. I have an assortment of 3oz bottles for decanting travel supplies.   Vampire shows, literature, etc? Yay or nay? I'm really not that much into vampires. What really matters to me in any genre is a good STORY, interesting characters, regardless of what they happen to be, which is why I enjoy True Blood, but don't really pay much attention to any other vampire type shows, books, etc.   If you play console video games, what game systems do you have and what games would you love to have? I have a PS2, but I don't play it a whole lot other than the occasional Guitar Hero run.   If you could have 3 BPAL bottles fall (gently) out of the sky right this second that you've been looking for or pining for - which 3 would they be?   Are there any international treats that you love and have a hard time finding? World Market covers most of my international-chow needs. However, if a jar of Löwensenf pear mustard were to appear on my doorstep, I would squee myself into a puddle, because you can only get it *from* the Löwensenf store in Düsseldorf, Germany. (Other varieties are available online, but not the pear.)   Is there anything from the 'Ween BPTP update that you would like but haven't ordered for yourself? I have submitted myself before the goblins and await their decision.   Cake or Frosting? Cake. I love cream cheese frosting, but I can only deal with a small amount!   Steampunk, yay or nay? If yay, what part appeals most? I like steampunk a lot more than I like goth - it's not a culture I embrace wholeheartedly in face and in fashion, but little steampunky accessories are fun.   What movie scared the bejeezus out of you as a child? Beastmaster. It's cheesy as hell now, but it was brand new on HBO when I was very small, and apparently I took issue with Rip Torn throwing babies into flames.   Comfort rereads: Diana Gabaldon's Outlander, Dan Simmons' Hyperion, Melanie Rawn's Dragon Prince, Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel's Dart...   Will you be going out of town during the round, or is there any other time during the round when it would not be ideal for you to receive a package from your witch? No, I've done my out-of-town foray already and will probably stay put until Thanksgiving or Halloween.   What animal would your daemon be? Alternately, your patronus. A river otter.   Do you have a special symbol or totem that is meaningful to you? I wouldn't call it *special*, but the reason why I got a tattoo of cherry blossoms is because it's representative of having spent half my life in the Chesapeake region, which is well known for cherry blossoms (and the similar dogwoods).   Do you need a box for your bpal bottles? Your imps? Your something else to put in a box stuff? I work in an office supply store - I have storage boxes for EVERYTHING! Although I would certainly not object to a nice painted/personalized storage box for bottles or imps...   Favorite Halloween Candy/Treat? It's more fall-specific than Halloween, but one of my favorite treats is pumpkin pudding - I haven't had it in years and I think I'm going to try to make it this year.   What are your favorite baked goods/homemade treats? Lemon bars, scones, shortbread cookies...   Would you be interested in an astrology birth chart? I have one, actually, courtesy of our wondrous Jarvenpa!   What is something you use to comfort yourself when feeling yucky, depressed, or in pain? Hot tea/chocolate, cat, blanket. Who needs anything else?   COMIC BOOKS. Do you read them? Are there any series you like, or some you would like to try? You know, I don't really deal much in physical comics - I have about 2/3rds of the Sandman graphic novels, The Crow, and Kabuki, but that's it. I mostly read webcomics, of which there are many I like...   Disney movies, Yay or Nay, and favourites if you do like them? Some of them - Lion King, Mulan, Robin Hood, Lilo & Stitch. I actually like Pixar a lot more.   Do you have A VCR, DVD Player or Blue Ray or a combo of the three? Just a DVD player.   Would you like custom icons as a gift? Of course!   Nail Polish: Not really. Once in a while a bottle will grab my eye, but I don't think I have ever used up an entire bottle, and I usually throw the older ones out five years later! My current favorite, for my toes, is China Glaze "Long Kiss."   Soft/plushy things: Yes, please!   What about [mixed or otherwise] DVDs? Sure!   DVDs: Do you prefer widescreen or formatted? Widescreen!   Cute or creepy Halloween stuffs? Doesn't matter as long as it's interesting!   Picky about WL: Gosh, no.   Ceramics? Absolutely! My first witch sent me some, and sadly they didn't survive.   Mortar/Pestle? I have a small wooden one that's pretty useless... I don't have much of a need for it, though, except to grind up spices for chai.   Squickables? Nothing, really - I can't say as I'd be pleased to find a giant plastic roach in a box, but I'm pretty hard to squick, really.   Family Prezzies? Not at all - no one here but me!   Bottles/lots of little samples? Yes! I'm not going to paint anyone into a corner in terms of creativity...

what interests you from the latest lab update? All of it! I have a few bottles and partials coming, but what I don't have, I'm interested in Boo and Blue Pumpkin Floss!   How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? I love stationary and cute cards, I'm sending snail mail every week to encourage a friend, so this type of stuff is welcome! Classic or modern, no cutesy unless it's Suzy's Zoo.   If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay?Yes, of course!! I love partials! Now if I could just make a wishlist...I also love empty bottles! Would you like something you have to make yourself? Sure!   Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? Either one is fine with me   Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) Sure! I don't like pickle pickles though, but I like things like pickled jalapenos!   Who is your favorite soap etailer? I really like Haus of Gloi, but I would love to try Savor!   What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc etc? Those really wouldn't fit into my decor! Plus no space.   With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? Do you have a preference? I am not picky!   What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? I don't wear too much make-up, and what I do is pretty neutral. Mostly browns and light pink/mauve lips. I love all kinds of colors of nail polish though! Thursday 10-14-10 update:   10/13/10 Today I got one of the Starbucks Halloween Bearista Bears - it's dressed like a werewolf! Is this something witchees might like? I am not so into that- I have a million other things I collect!   Are you interested in Halloween costumes for your pet(s)? My pets might hate you- I think they could tolerate hats. And the pictures would be hilarious.     10/12/10 Would you want your witch to reveal herself? How? Witch, I cannot wait to meet you!   10/9/10 I came home with some Dungeon Crawl and some Bedbugs yesterday. If you were my witchee, would you want some of either/both? Those both sound exciting to me- esp. bedbugs:)   10/7/10 Did you forget anything fun/interesting or find something new and exciting? I am not sure ho wot answer this. I am working on search engine optimization- but that isn't ver exciting. I have discovered a love for paintbox soapworks- I got some for my witchy and kept a bar of pumpkin soap for myself- she is way talented. Oh! I know hwat I am excited about- the musical next year is My Fair Lady- so I need to get the movie and hte original broadway soundtrack with julie andrews and practice:)   10/5/10 Would you like to receive international magazines, even if you don't speak the language it's written in, just to ogle the pictures or for the novelty of it? If yes, what kind of magazines, or what magazines in particular? Wow- this sounds awesome. I love lush photographs of art or artsu fashion, crafts, and nature, and food- and pretty much anytihng- i rip up and save/collage magazine spreads all of the time.   would you have interest in any of the new Christmas stuff from Lush? I actually had to twist my own arm to stop it from making a huge order of that stuff. I especially lust after trying the maple lip balm, the gingerbread bubble bar, and the new hot toddy like shower gel. I miss being able to drive to lush- but it is good for my wallet!   Oh, witchee-poo... if there was one bottle you could have from the NYCC exclusives, what would it be? The White Lady, or Steeplechase Park spray.   If someone were to make you one of the items in this post which would it be? Oh my- those are all beautiful. I especially like the hooded one.   If you were my witchee, would you mind a gift certificate where you'd have to do it old school style and mail it in with your order form? Are the good as a fruit, a flavoring or just a scent? delicious as a whole fruit, great as a unseetened juice or liquor- I don't like it much as a flavoring as I feel it often doesn't taste authentically tart to me.   Haunt Update? I want everything, but it is all gone already!   9/30/10 Villainess has an update. Anyone wanting anything from it? Autumn gala looksk yummy- I love love love Mudslide anything.   how are all the witchees fixed for purses--lunchbags, etc? I really want a bento box! I am good on bags- my little sis just made me one for my bday and it is awesome!   Now, I have a question for you. About notes. Which are your favourite ones? Do you have a kind of "note top ten?" Anything that works particularly well on you? Do you have a perfume category (foody, floral, aquatic, musky) that you favour? And are there any notes you have never tried, but think would work well on you? I shall try a top ten:   1 honey/beeswax 2 caramel 3 dark cocoa 4 fig 5 apple 6 pumpkin 7 coconut- the lab's dry note is great- not tropicana at all 8 vanilla (creamy) 9 rose 10 violet   But for most of those notes- I like a layer of complex resins or woods/patchouli or somehting peppery to hold down the sweetness- so I feel like I did a bad job of listing stuff. Benzion is always good on me.   I also like to try strange notes- (such as tomato, different herbs, baking bread...) considered savory that arent used as often in conventional perfumes.   Would you like a sugar skull decorated by your witch? Or do you like sugar skull stuff in general? I love Day of the Dead stuff- I am entering two paintings for a show this year if I can get my other stuff done!   9/29/10 Is there one scent that is your goto for comfort on a bad stressful day? Like the perfume equivilent of a security blankie? Shub or in autumn-Samhain   What are you going to be for Halloween? I am toying with Carmen Sandiego. Do you know a good de-mushing agent for brains?   Tuesday 9-28 Update:     9/25/10 If you could make a scent that represents where you live (or have lived), what would be the ingredients? Buffalo smells like huge mounds of snow, tart apples, dry leaves, hedges of lavender, crisp gin, and farm share honey. Ok, now i want that smell!   Are you in need of Roller bottles or anything of the like? I want to try making my own atmo sprays and could use bottles for that.   9/24/10 Just curious, but if your witch was to make an amigurumi critter (or other plushie) just for you, what would it be? A sea monster or Squid!   Would you want a local/tourist item from your witch? Like a t-shirt, mug or shot glass? I generally have too many mugs and t shirts in my little apartment.   Venomous Villains? I would love to have some Calling Cards to write on, as the lost art of the hand-written note is something I am terribly neglectful of. As for the design, I'm flexible! I also love to write with felt-tip pens, and getting those in fun colors are always nice.   If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Are you kidding? ABSOLUTELY!   Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? Last year, at work, we had an office-decorating contest for Halloween. My office windows were smeared in stage blood, there was an outline of a body in the floor, and crime scene tape on the walls. So yeah, I'd say I totally go for elegance when I'm decorating.   Homemade bath products YES PLZ!   Are you a foodie? Absolutely. I love to cook and to play with new flavors in the kitchen (though ATM just thinking about food makes me a little nauseated -- thanks, oxycodone. It has to be "good" vampire stuff, though what that means is highly subjective and difficult to define. I can tell you I enjoy True Blood, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, 30 Days of Night, and the Blade movies (okay, the first 2).   Soundtracks you'd like? I would love to receive baked goods if my witch is so inclined but if witch does not like baking do not worry about it. I'm not picky, I don't think there's anything witch could bake that I wouldn't like. Also I should mention my partner's birthday is October 16th, so if witch wants to send a little something for him that would be cool. No pressure either way because I'll be getting him something for his birthday anyways, and he's not expecting anything for himself from SW. If witch desires witch can find ways to contact me about his Amazon wishlist or other likes. Otherwise, baked goodies/candy/edibles would bring him joy. I love samples, imps, tester imps, etc. Trying new things is fun. And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? I like them, but they need to be good quality otherwise they will go un-used. And interesting/different themes appeal at the moment, but I like all different sort of things.   Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) Yes, if they can get past quarantine.   If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? More than okay! I prefer bottles much much more than imps.   Would you like something you have to make yourself? Sure, as long as the instructions are easy to understand if it's not something I know how to do. Mentioned in my Q'aire & blog.   If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Anything from 1/2 imp/decant size on up is great. Whoa. Found more questions! 9/28/10   Do you collect stones/rocks? I'm talking like "semi" precious stones, ie moonstone, bloodstone, quartz ect. Are there any that you're looking for at the moment? Are you in need of a stone but don't know which kind? I love rocks and crystals. I'm one of those folks who always comes back from the creek with rocks in my pockets. I endlessly hanker for quartz and smoky quatrz and amethyst and rose quartz. My students give me granite rocks, and I treasure them.   Is there anything from Blooddrop that you want to try? GC? Halloween update? Sure! Anything...   Do you like paper dolls (new or vintage) or coloring in books? Old paper dolls are really cool.   What song is on heavy rotation for you right now? Switch witch stuff

Links for my Switch Witch.     www.dharmatrading.com I love their dharma fiber reactive procion dye. I'd love any color, but I already have the following: Fire red, periwinkle, hot pink, ultra violet, turquoise, jet black, aqua marine, avacado green, rust brown, plum, peach and kelly green.   I love dyeable sock yarn, my favorite comes from here. I also love tofutsies sock yarn.   I love to try new undyed things to spin. Unusual breeds of wool and other animal fibers. Cotton is something I've never tried. Or any blend that you think I might like! Sparkly things for me to blend in.   My favorite plugs are made by Frozenfire on etsy. Please get 13mm with a wearable length of 8mm. Or anything else from anywhere that has a wearable length of 7-10mm and double flare. I love plugs of all kinds and the flares can never be too big.   I have a guilty pleasure in bath and body works wallflowers. I'd love to try the leaves scent, but also love their sea island cotton, coconut, sandalwood vanilla, sensual amber, creamy pumpkin, cucumber melon, eucalyptus mint, cool citrus basil and orange sapphire. I'd also love any of those scents in any of the lotions or body mists. I'm also eyeing the new halloween hand soaps! They all look so cute!   I love japanese incense. Things with agarwood, moss, woodsy, things are what I tend to like best. The Hinoki from the Kah fuh line by nippon kodo, and nokiba by shoiedo, and river path by shoiedo are some of my favorites.   I also love anything that has a cactus. Especially cactus that has a face or is chibi. Or just cactus. Really, I love the stupid things a lot.   Sellers on etsy: Missyindustry for the heart neckalces, cameo skull, and most of the rings, (I'm a 9 1/2 for thin rings and 9 1/2-10 1/2 for thick), Sarah Lynn Designs for the clockwork necklaces, eggmanstudios for the snails and lolipops, but really any of her prints would be awesome.   Did I mention I collect snails too?   I also love crazy fabrics. I do not care if they are knit or woven, though 100% cotton is usually best (as I will be making clothes out of them). Retroy, owls, cactus, geometrics, blacks and whites. Black thick corduroy. Black denim. I dunno, any kind of fabric, I can pretty much do something with, as long as it's not plastic, or pleather.   I love pens. Any kind, preferably black, but really any color will get used.   Books of just about any kind. Dystopian future books seem to be my favorite.   I'd also love to hear a mixed CD of some of your favorites.   And knit picks. I'd love to try some of their lace weight. I love their needles. I could use a pair of the nickel fixed circular 40" in 2.25mm or 2.5mm. Any of the larger sized nickel plated tips would be very welcome as well. Or really, you see knitting needles somewhere, like a thrift store, and they're cheap, I'll love them! Green needles would be amazing!   Really, I will be greatful of ANYTHING. Just someone out there sending me a cute package is enough. Well, more than enough. <3

9/13/10 what interests you from the latest lab update? My wish list is completely up to date. If anything, it's so much fun messing with it, it's probably TOO utd!   How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? Gel pens or fountain pens are both favorites, and elegant stationery.   Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) Sure! Not too spicy, though.   If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Any amount is wonderful Testable sniffies, imps, partial bottles, empty bottles...   Would you like something you have to make yourself? Depends. A small cross stitch kit or kid-level craft would be fun. I enjoy it, but I'm not the most accomplished crafter out there (massive understatement time)   Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? Either way would be wonderful, witch. The amount of effort and love that goes into something you make yourself is inspiring, but as someone who has felt the regret of just not being able to make it, bought is awesome too.   Who is your favorite soap etailer? Don't really know, haven't bought much soap online. Willing to try if you have samples or make soap yourself, sounds fun.   What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc etc? Too afraid of clutter, but it's a nice thought.   With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? Do you have a preference? A bunch of small packages sounds so cool. Just getting a package makes my day, almost without regard to what's actually in it. But as always, whatever works best for you!   What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? Mineral makeup/Sephora. I like darker eyeshadow without going over the edge. Wine red or vintage glam type lip colors. Makeup tends to slip right off the priority list, because I have a harder time justifying the s. Anything cool to try would be greatly appreciated.   Who would be on your top 5 (IE famous people you'd date/have relations with ) OOOhhh, will have to ponder this one. I have always been fascinated by Russian history, and have read extensively on that subject. On another note, we lived in England for 3 years when I was younger - so I have visited all over Europe, parts of Asia & Africa, etc. But I never made it to Wales or Ireland, and find them fascinating.   Would you enjoy homemade bath products (bath salts, fizzies, etc.) and/or linen sprays? Esp. if scented with some of your favorite BPAL scents? Yes!   If you witch made you something and it didn't come out just right, would you still want it? Absolutely! Gives it personality and charm.   Are you a foodie? Eh, not especially. Enjoy wonderful food, some foodie-type scents. But not where my primary emphasis lies.   Any sports fans in the house? So much so, that the husband and myself had to compromise - I wait until the day after my birthday to decorate (sept 18th), instead of starting in August. Will you be going out of town during the round, or is there any other time during the round when it would not be ideal for you to receive a package from your witch? I'll be out of town November 6-12 but will have access to email.   Are there any soundtracks that you'd like? Someday I will track down the soundtrack to Room With A View. I think it's out of print now.   If you are a crafter, would you like to receive supplies from your witch (beads, fabric, yarn/roving etc?) I would LOVE embroidery supplies, so if this would interest my witch then let me know.   Find your iPod (or other MP3 device), put it on shuffle/random.
