You know when you look back on something you've done, or a way you've behaved, and you just want to disappear and hope nobody ever thinks of you again? You know when you read articles about toxic people and you're like... "Wait, I think *I'm* the toxic person. The call has been coming from inside the house this whole time!"
...perhaps it's just me. Either I have overactive guilt/shame reflexes, or I just do crappy/embarrassing things more often than most people, or maybe both. Who can say! In 20 years I'll probably have enough perspective to tell the difference. But right now, I'm pretty sure I've done the wrong thing. Again.
I'm still working on finding solutions to the behaviours in myself that I want to change. That's an ongoing process, and it feels sometimes like it's just a sequence of falling on my face again - and again - and again - and irritating, aggravating, or hurting any number of people in the process. I do look at myself now and see that I am miles ahead of where I was five years ago, which is good. But in the interim -- sometimes I just want people not to think about me, or talk about me, or feel any type of way about me at all. I don't like being the subject of gossip, and I don't like the idea that my behaviour could get someone else down. In those moments, I just want to draw a veil over myself, separating me from the rest of the world. Giving me a little peace and respite from other people's thoughts and feelings, and giving other people a little respite from the effects and consequences of my behaviour.
That, I think, is a good place for Veils and Mists to come in. I'd never thought about it as a TAL I'd want to have in my life, but increasingly it feels useful or even necessary to me. I'm not sure how I'd judge its effectiveness because that would require proving a negative, and an impossible one at that -- "Prove other people HAVEN'T been privately gossiping about me or feeling bad about things I said or did!" Nevertheless, I'd like to be able to send that energy out into the world, with some serious oomph behind it courtesy of the Lab. I'll try and get my hands on a bottle and update this entry if/as events warrant.
These two novels — The Button Field by Gail Husch (2014) and Killingly by Katharine Beutner (2023) — were inspired by the same real-life unsolved mystery, the disappearance of student Bertha Mellish from Mount Holyoke College in 1897.
I found The Button Field to be haunting, and now I’m looking forward to reading Killingly.

Back to the Future Is Female!
I am looking forward to this online event at 6pm Eastern on March 14, 2023!
From Pulp Era pioneers to the radical innovators of the 1960s and ’70s, visionary women writers have been a transformative force in American science fiction. For Women’s History Month, acclaimed SF authors Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, Pamela Sargent, and Sheree Renée Thomas join Lisa Yaszek, editor of LOA’s The Future Is Female!, for a conversation about the writers who smashed the genre’s gender barrier to create worlds and works that remain revolutionary.

Would you like to receive Girl Scout cookies and if so, what kind is your favorite?
Samoa or thin mint! (But they'd be for my son.)
Would you like a Gnome amigurumi?
No thank you, I have tons!
How about Gnome tea towel(s)?
Nah, I'm good on tea towels. I got mom tons of them for the holidays.
Would you like a cross stitched gnome picture / ornament?
Yes! Cross stitch that can be framed on wall preferred. Mom likes traditional red / blue gnome colors.
What's your favorite way to experience Nature? A hike in the woods, a day lounging on the beach, only as screen savers on your computer?
Yes. Woods / forest / mountain forest with rivers or creeks or lakes. Beach backed by forest. Bonfires on the beach. Meadow surrounded by forest. Knot gardens and rose gardens. Herb gardens. The rainforest on the Washington coast peninsula. Would love to visit the Black Forest someday. Lush greenery.
what kinds of safety and environmental concerns need to be considered for your gnome so they can safely reside at your home? will they live outdoors so they need to be weatherproof (for what kind of weather)? will they be indoors and need to be pet or child-safe? do they need to be very tiny or capable of hanging on a wall?
I would prefer an outdoor gnome of some type as my mom is the Gnome lover in this house.
How do you feel about zombie or other horror gnomes?
Mom is pretty much about the Gnormal Gnomes which is sad because I bought her Game of Gnomes, Say Hello to my Little Friend, and some other more modern gnomes and she doesn't love them.
Do you need any seeds? If so what varieties might you be interested in? Flowers, veg, herbs.. ?
I feel like I have a black thumb when growing from seed (or keeping house plants alive, sigh.) I do love scented geraniums (I don't know if you can find seeds for them? I feel like most people sell rooted cuttings), patchouli, white sage (I have actually grown these from seed), or I have a plants amazon list. There are TONS of things I'd love from strictly medicinal )
Would you like feathers from my Peacock, Gary (short for Gyrados)?
You already know I would! (Looks at huge cup full of Gary's feathers)
if BPAL is one of your treasures, which BPAL would you like the mostest? (Maybe one that is available right now from BPAL and one Limited Edition/Discontinued?)
Constellation (but of course it's only on the Haute Macabre site) Anything on my bottle list from wishlist is fine. (Although I do love NAVA as well, their vanillas and ambers! swoooooon!)
Limited Edition/Discontinued: Black & Red Candy Canes or Moon when the Cherries turn Black, hahaha! But again, anything on my wishlist works.
If you are a tea drinker, which (if any) of these teas tickle your fancy?
I was very confused by this website because they are NOT in London (but in St. Louis, haha!) and why doesn't their 5th of November have bonfire toffee flavors, I don't associate fruit with bonfire nights, but whatever, lol!! I do love smokey teas, so this would be good to try.
Alpine Black doesn't attribute the quote they use (rude!) which is one of my favorite quotes from Better Off Dead. I don't have a ton of berry teas, so would try this too.
And I always love me some Lapsang Souchong.
(general ramble about tea)
I like flavored (or not) strong black tea to drink with cream and sugar but a lot of flavored tea is good enough to have just plain too. Depends on if I'm in the mood for more bitter, I guess?
One of my favorites is the Butterscotch tea from Mariage Freres (it totally smells just like Butterbear bath bombs from LUSH!) so things similar to this are also welcome. A NEW favorite that I would love to have more of is from August tea - the apple and fennel (Dots & Loops.) And I love some of the Bird & Blend teas like Vicky's Sponge Cake and the Bonfire Toffee. I'd love to try Terry's Blend (chocolate orange) but it was out last time I looked.
would you like a tiny hand drawn gnome picture?
How tiny is tiny? If you hand draw me a picture that is for me and not a gnomie for my mom, I'd be ok with a more goth gnome. (Gnoth Gnome?)
Is homemade vanilla something you might like? I have a "Mother Jar" that I can decant from. These beans have been steeping for 2 years in a very nice bourbon.
oooh yes!
Are there any colors you would prefer your gnome not to have?
Did we do favorite colors? I can't remember! I loathe orange, yellow, beige, tan, brown, etc. I'm good with other colors but especially love purple, black, gray, blurple. (I don't love navy, pastels, or brights. Or pink. Or anything leaning warm.) Please try for jewel tones, darkened / blackened colors, or primaries. Mom likes the normal red/blue or blue/green. Red/green is too christmas-y.
If the creativity bites, would you possibly like a small embroidered gnome? Could be an ornament? Any gender preference or details you might like added (small mushroom, bee, heart or egg...)?
sure! Unisex (girl gnomes have beards like girl dwarves?), prefer in a little frame for wall, a little fox and mushrooms are awesome.
Do you have a need for cheese knife? https://ototodesign.com/products/bert-cheese-knife?
I do, I do! I love ototo designs, I have the mushroom funnel.
I'll be in Seattle next week- any treat you might enjoy from the PNW? Spoopy/ Gothy things? Nice coffee beans? A Nirvana t-shirt...?
A condo in pike place market with a roof top dog garden! Most of the stuff I'd like besides coffee would be perishable like Pagliacci pizza, piroshki, stuff from the British store. Plus I'll be there for a week next month! I would love some Cafe Vivace dark or espresso roast beans, I probably won't have time to go there.
I'll be back in Disney World next month- anything you might like from Epcot or Hollywood Studios?
everything nightmare before Christmas of course!!
Would you be interested in a small copper nature totem that could nestle in your garden or amongst your plants? I can do some chasing to create a mushroom or a leaf or a special bug fren...
A mushroom or leaf would be fun!
Would you be interested in a decorative pillow or zippered pouch featuring a gnomely figure? like this? or a little coin purse? or please tell me to make this because oh my gods...
Gno indoor gnitted or gcrocheted gnomes please. Unless it's like a small suncatcher or something?
I have an angora rabbit and she's currently molting. Would you like rabbit fur for spinning, felting, or other crafty uses?
No thank you!
Do you need any spices?
Need? No. Do I have a bunch on my amazon kitchen wishlist? Yes.
How would you feel about gnome-inspired clothing?
My mom loves gnome sweatshirts! Maybe a large size.
would you be interested in any horror movie merch? If so, do you have a favorite horror movie / character?
No thank you!
Haus of Gloi launched their Valentine goodies today. Anything appeal? https://www.hausofgloi.com/collections/valentines-1
I bought a bunch of sale things recently so I got a little packet of valentine's scents but I haven't sniffed them yet.
By Candlelight and Cozy Rose both sound amazing and I would absolutely love those in Bubbling Scrub, Sugar Exfoliant, Room Refresher Spray, or a candle.
Butterbombs in white musk and vanilla.
Nocturne Alchemy just released their Valentine collection. Is there anything that strikes your fancy?
I do love my NAVA. Cotton Candy Nag Champa Musk from the resurgence would be amazing. Crystalline #1 in a purple bottle would also be amazing. Crystalline #2 and #4 both sound great. Encens Ambre, Encens Vanille, both Eclipse blends, Poseidon's Vanilla Cheesecake, LOVE YOU.
Any Paintbox Soapworks items you want? https://paintboxsoapworks.com/new-limited-edition/new/
Moonshadow bath streusel! I have a ton of sorbetto right now so I'm not in need really. UPDATE 2/16/23 -- I used some Moonshadow sorbetto recently while in Seattle and ... although all of the notes are MY NOTES, I actually don't love it that much. I hope this doesn't cause any issues.
Are you interested in some of my homemade brown sugar shortbread?
I would love lavender, rose, chocolate. Would absolutely try the blossoms. Regular flour/sugar is fine with me. Chocolate rose could be fun too.
Do you have a seed and/or plant wishlist? Seeds may come from my personal stash, or not.
I do, it's on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3A6UICRDCV5DP?ref_=wl_share
So if I were to send you a plant, would you prefer an air plant or a succulent??
I will probably kill both of them. I kill air plants like woah. Succulents last a little longer.
Any candles you might like? Be sure to check her clearance for leftovers from Halloween! https://www.etsy.com/shop/TeresaLynnsSimpleLux
I don't burn candles very often but anything with my scent notes is fine. My mom burns candles a lot and I would probably give to her (she likes almost everything except patchouli.)
Lupercalia went live. Anything catch your attention? Lupercalia 2023 – Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab
Yesssss I still haven't been able to get yules though.
What is your favorite animal?
Real or Mythical? I love all equine type animals (Friesians, Warlanders, Hippocampus, Kelpie), Pibbles, Bats, Rats, Ferrets, Leafy Sea Dragons. I love my piggies in RL and would love a pig gargoyle from Windstone (M. Peña) but unfortunately it is discontinued. Gargoyles/grotesques are my next obsession of mythical animals.
Is there anything you would love from San Diego?
FISH SOFT TACOS. Those probably wouldn't ship well though ... so I dunno. Starbucks "You are Here" mug? Either the big one or a tiny one. Or if they have Starbucks cards (Gift card type) that say San Diego, that would be awesome. I collect both the mugs and the cards.
if you like ebooks, does that mean kindle? Google books? Another format I should be aware of? And so I don’t provide something you already have, what are some authors you would like to try?
I prefer kindle books but if you just want to send me an epub file in email, that is cool too. Kindle is switching from .mobi to .epub so I'm going to have to convert my mobi files from years and years of digital ARC books for reviews if I want to read them again, weep. Luckily I started downloading both mobi and epub formats around three or four years ago. I *could* do google or ibooks but I really prefer to keep all of my books in one location, the same reason that I prefer to buy or add patterns to my library on ravelry. All in one spot.
Ummm I read A LOT so there really aren't a lot of new authors that I'm super interested in? I have lots of books on my amazon book wishlist if you need inspiration. Feel free to send me an anonymous email asking if I've read something, or check my goodreads to see if I've read it.
into astrology or not into astrology?
Not SUPER into it. I just laugh at memes mostly? (Virgo.)
There's an incredible herbal apothecary near me and a way I celebrate spring as a time of renewal is to sometimes henna my hands or feet with symbols that are personal to me, as a way of setting new intentions. Since you pretty much don't get more "earthy" than henna, would you be interested in receiving some high-quality of your very own to do similar sacred body work with (or...whatever you might wanna do with it)?
Sure, I love henna! Hair, Skin, bring it. (For hair I prefer a black/blue henna.)
I know we've already had the paintbox question, but Spring things recently went live. Any interest in spring Paintbox? https://paintboxsoapworks.com/new-limited-edition/2023-spring-collection/
Wisteria Biscuit I think is the only one of interest and not that much because I'm not a SUPER fan of coconut. Sometimes I like it a lot, sometimes I don't. Not a fan of dirt AT ALL and not a huge fan of fruit or floral, so pretty much everything in this collection is that except Wisteria Biscuit.
Would you like to receive Girl Scout cookies and if so, what kind is your favorite?
Would you like a Gnome amigurumi? (smol knitted or crocheted gnome)
-- if so, What gnome colors appeal to you? (three-four colors please)
-- do any of these patterns appeal to you (I pretty much have all of them including the ones for humans but I'm not going to make a colorwork sweater for you, sorry. I *might* make a hat or mitts if you like grey, blue, and red as shown because I already have that yarn.)
How about Gnome tea towel(s)?
Would you like a cross stitched gnome picture / ornament?
What's your favorite way to experience Nature? A hike in the woods, a day lounging on the beach, only as screen savers on your computer?
what kinds of safety and environmental concerns need to be considered for your gnome so they can safely reside at your home? will they live outdoors so they need to be weatherproof (for what kind of weather)? will they be indoors and need to be pet or child-safe? do they need to be very tiny or capable of hanging on a wall?

METHOD: Anointed a small natural-white paraffin pillar candle with Radiance of Ra + Block Buster to banish circling negative thoughts. Worked very well.
I found myself stuck in a rut of negativity, where I was feeling down on myself in general and convinced I'd done something wrong to alienate one person in particular. There was a lot of negative self-talk, which not only felt crappy, but also impeded my ability to get on with my life.
I dressed a candle with Radiance of Ra and Block Buster. I envisioned bright rays of sunshine breaking through the fug of negativity, clearing out those heavy shadows in the mind, and busting through the blocks of insecurity and negative self-talk I'd stacked up in my own path. I thought about eliminating the "lies and deceptions" of low self-esteem, which were telling me that I'm not good enough and soon everyone would find out.
As soon as I lit the candle, I felt better. I stood up straighter, and the circling negative thoughts just -- stopped. I wasn't distracted by self-criticism. I attacked a task I'd been avoiding and felt good about it. I cooked dinner and enjoyed it. I reread the email to the person I thought I'd alienated -- which I had been avoiding -- and concluded it was perfectly harmless and if he didn't like it, that wasn't on me. I realised I'd done the best I could, and I should continue to do the best I could, and that was that. I just felt better right away. It was amazing.
I haven't experienced any vim and vigor yet, and I don't feel particularly energized, but that might be because I'm pretty sleep deprived right now. Will report back if that changes.
Additionally: I'm thinking of starting to make my own hand-poured soy wax candles using TAL oils,

Rating by interest on a scale of 1-5, for a few selected scents...
Cacao and Scorched Milk Perfume Oil - kind of interested, because it sounds like maybe the milk note from Snake Milk and I love that one. 3/5
Chocolate Chypre - not sure if chypre always works for me, but I'm definitely intrigued! 3/5
Femdom Perfume Oil
An eagerly-anticipated whip crack of wild plum, champagne, and blackcurrant - I'm recently loving the Lab's champagne note, and I also enjoy fruity notes, so this is a no-brainer for me. 4/5
Silk Daffodil Perfume Oil
Daffodil petals, spiced amber, and neroli - I'm somewhat curious except I think daffodil = narcissus, and I can't hang w/narcissus.. might try it somewhere down the line.. 2/5
Silk Tiger Lily Perfume Oil
Ginger-splattered lily petals - now this one I am very curious about. Sometimes lily can be really nice, and paired with ginger, it has my interest. 3/5
Sister Death Perfume Oil
A sorrowful white lily fougere shadowed by yew branches - another lily to keep my eye on. 3/5
The Morning Star Among the Living Perfume Oil
Black fig encased in saffron-threaded amber - sounds interesting, 3/5
The Serpent in the Roses Perfume Oil
Snake Oil dribbling across a cluster of amber-flecked, blackened rose petals - heck yeah I want this, I'm another of those who has been wishing for a rosey Snake Oil! 4/5
A Medley of Vulvas Perfume Oil
Bourbon vanilla, pink labdanum, pink pepper, honey, and bushman’s candle absolute - I tend to steer clear of honey but this almost sounds like a sweet bubble-gum type of scent, in which case I would want to try it. 3/5
An Introduction to Illustrious Kabuki Actors Perfume Oil
White sandalwood, vanilla bean, fig froth, and buttercream - I feel like I need to smell this, lol. 4/5
At the Tea Drinking Perfume Oil
Kamairicha, blood orange, and champaca blossom - there's the champaca I love - need to smell this. 4/5
Call of the Geese Meeting at Night Perfume Oil
A raucous honk of red currant snuggled in downy orris root, coconut, and sandalwood smoke - I feel this one is calling out to me too, somewhat. 3/5
Copulating Couple Mimicking a Pose in a Shunga Book Perfume Oil
Washi, matcha, crushed mint, green bergamot, white moss, patchouli, and lichen - sounds nice as long as the moss and lichen behave. Possible decant somewhere along the way, although I've totally gone off buying decants lately.
Four Penises Perfume Oil
Amber cream, lotus root, white sandalwood, teak, pear blossom, and white tea - looking forward to smelling this, and I enjoy trying the "penis" scents, when the notes look agreeable, lol. 4/5
Highest Quality Vagina Perfume Oil
Golden amber and vanilla milk, sweet almond, honey, and soft incense - looks very sweet and honey isn't always my thing. I'm curious, though. 3/5
Inspection Perfume Oil
Black tea, smoked jasmine, cedarwood, sandalwood incense, and sweet sage - sounds pretty good, actually. 3/5
Kiseru Perfume Oil
Red sandalwood, vanilla husk, and tobacco smoke - sounds good, would like to try. 3/5
The Tea House Perfume Oil
Green tea, sandalwood incense, hinoki cypress, bamboo reeds, lemon petals, and plum wine - sounds good but maybe a little basic? There's a lot of competition for my attention with this update! 3/5
Yanagi No Arashi Perfume Oil
Pale amber musk and linden blossom splashed by a torrent of coconut milk, hazelnut foam, and heliotrope - very interested, something about the combination of these notes is calling to me. 4/5
What is your favorite Easter candy? hmmmm... probably the Cadbury's CARAMEL eggs (NOT the creme ones!!)... either that or the Reece's Eggs...
Do you like Jelly Bellies? If so what flavors? I'm generally MEH about them. I'll eat them but I'm not crazy about them
Do you have a preference for plastic eggs, treat bags, paper, or no preference? I prefer the least amount of plastic in anything at all ever... in fact... I prefer the least amount of NEW also... so ... please recycle things as much as you can (of course, I understand that's not always possible I just feel like sometimes people are loath to regift/recycle/upcycle because someone somewhere in "society" decided that NEW was better and that being frugal and thrifty were like somehow bad things... fuck all that shit!!! the less shit we produce the better it is for everyone!!)
Are you interested in some of my homemade brown sugar shortbread? I can do gluten free and/ or monkfruit sweetened. Flavors include "plain" vanilla, chocolate, orange blossom, cherry blossom, lavender, rose, combinations thereof. Yes please but lets not make it gluten free or with monkfruit... please make it with sugar and gluten!! Plain vanilla will probably be my fave but feel free to send whatever
For those who don't like imps... In the case I find that I have something PERFECT for you in my collection that I want to share, would decanting into a squat itty bitty bottle with a screw top lid or rollerball be ideal?
that might help! Would definitely be down to try!!
Hi little chick, I just got yet another seed catalog in, and was thinking about the garden. It seems on theme, so do you garden? Would you like anything like seeds?
I definitely container garden but I've never tried seeds before. Am a bit afraid to try.
Spring Chick o' Mine, I have a question about mugs! What are your general feelings on mugs/drinkware?
I don't use coffee mugs for my coffee and in general have tons of drinkware
could it hold a plant???
Dear bunny, what are your thoughts on these?
https://www.thecrownedrabbit.com/pins
cute. some of them are a little too cutesy to be really ME but all my pins just live on a giant bandana hanging on my wall so... I don't really DO much with them ever.
Dear chick, would you be interested in any of these baked goods? I am a fan of baked goods and all of those sound lovely! I'm less interested in the chocolate chip ones as I'm not a HUGE chocolate person. I like it but I like caramel and vanilla and other such flavors more...
Matcha shortbread
Hojicha shortbread
Lemon scones
Lavender scones
Lavender lemon scones
Chocolate chip scones (made with Guittard chips
Please LMK if you have any aversions/sensitivities to ACTUAL rose(s). As if someone were to send you flowers... this was my question but no aversions to real rose(s)
Dear chick, would you be interested in any cute Easter/spring-themed cookie cutters? ok... NORMALLY this is such a hard no for me because I don't cook/bake BUT... I'm REALLY wanting a Rain Chain... and I JUST saw a super cute one MADE with chain and metal cookie cutters... so... YES... I want some... (don't have to be spring/easter themed either just PLEASE NO XMAS STUFF)
Also i've been wondering and combing q&a sheets without finding this. Will be making something with chocolate and would like to know which one you'd prefer...
Milk, Dark, or White
DARK!!!!! All the others I don't particularly care for except as the occassional garnish
I'm going to pre-order some spring teas (and stock up on the maple houjicha) from Friday Afternoon. Is there a spring tea (or any other tea) that you might like, chick? I feel like my thoughts on tea are well covered... but just in case... once again... no.
How do you feel about lambs as part of Easter? Easter lambs were always a part of my childhood, and I often got lambs instead of rabbits (in chocolate or stuffed form). lambs are cool
Do you like bees? in general, yes... but please don't send me live ones.

Do you like Jelly Bellies? If so what flavors?
Yes! Popcorn, Cakey, Blueberry…. I love popcorn jelly bellies.
Do you have a preference for plastic eggs, treat bags, paper, or no preference?
No preference
Are you interested in some of my homemade brown sugar shortbread? I can do gluten free and/ or monkfruit sweetened. Flavors include "plain" vanilla, chocolate, orange blossom, cherry blossom, lavender, rose, combinations thereof.
oh yes, anything homemade!
For those who don't like imps... In the case I find that I have something PERFECT for you in my collection that I want to share, would decanting into a squat itty bitty bottle with a screw top lid or rollerball be ideal?
I am OK with imps, even empties off my wishlist!
Hi little chick, I just got yet another seed catalog in, and was thinking about the garden. It seems on theme, so do you garden? Would you like anything like seeds?
Hmmmm, Maybe hollyhocks?
Spring Chick o' Mine, I have a question about mugs! What are your general feelings on mugs/drinkware?
I like them!
W/L links I may have forgotten:
Etsy
Amazon
Pinterest - somewhat out of date, but good "look book"
What is your favorite Easter candy?
This actually came up this morning. I have no idea if they even exist anymore.... Those tiny solid chocolate eggs with a speckled matte candy coating so they looked like robins eggs; also, the Whopper's version of same. Love Cadbury Creme Eggs, and caramel eggs, too. Reese's is also a safe bet (though always been fonder of pieces, but cups/shapes are good). Not a peeps fan.
Do you like Jelly Bellies?
yup! Big nostalgia trip for me as I never liked jellybeans as a kid until there was a jelly belly stand at the mall as a tween/teen. I mostly like the fruity ones, but buttered and caramel popcorn are good too! I actually liked doing the combo "recipes" - no licorice anything plz.
Are you interested in some of my homemade brown sugar shortbread
I am a sucker for Sakura (cherry blossom) stuff! Otherwise, plain is always good!
For everyone else: Do you have a preference for plastic eggs, treat bags, paper, or no preference?
Glad someone else said it! I didn't want to out myself, but I'd been trying to figure out non-plastic options. I, too, would prefer plastic-free
Spring Chick o' Mine, I have a question about mugs! What are your general feelings on mugs/drinkware?
I feel similarly picky about mugs/drinkware. I have almost no space for mugs/drinkware due to the. .. shall we say ... "collector" tendencies of my roommate and the sith. Plus the sith broke my one good tea mug a month or so ago, and I haven't been able to find a proper replacement. I don't like the standard coffee mug shape, or anything that's too sculptural (like molded faces or animals in 3D). I've been using my company logo mug, but it's more of a larger camp-side mug shape, which means it's too big, too wide and too short, so my tea gets cold really fast; but my only other one has metallic lining inside, so I can't microwave it. ugh. My favorite shape looks like a slightly thinner ceramic/bisque(not glossy) pint glass with a handle. As for glassware, we have so much that I keep my nice floral rocks glasses in a box in my room. (sorry, a little touchy on this one, sith just bought himself yet ANOTHER mug, and the cabinet really can't hold all the mugs we have, which is 60% his and 30% the roommates. 😠
Dear bunny, what are your thoughts on these?
So very cute!! I like a lot of them! (just steer clear of any rodent that's not a rabbit or a chinchilla, please 🙂 )
Dear chick, would you be interested in any of these baked goods?
Matcha shortbread - yes! Love matcha.
Hojicha shortbread - prefer matcha
Lemon scones - oh yes!
Lavender scones - no thanks
Lavender lemon scones - yes
Chocolate chip scones (made with Guittard chips) -yes
Actual flowers - I have no allergies and love flowers
Dear chick, would you be interested in any cute Easter/spring-themed cookie cutters?
I don't guess there's a difference between a cookie cutter and the ones for pie crusts? I don't normally make cookies you cut, but I do sometimes like getting fancy with my double-crust pies, and some flowery-type cutters for that would be super cute!
Spring Tea:
I'm generally not an edible glitter fan, or teas that come with added sweeteners or "flavorings", but the Strawberry snap looks interesting, and it only lists granulated honey as the sweetener. Other ones, Daughter's Rings looks interesting. Green Ginger Mint is generally a favorite flavor in other brands, can't go wrong with that. I'm also almost out of matcha.
Extras (updated)
I just ran out of black garlic salt, that's always nice to have around. And I was seed shopping in Territorial Seed Catalogue and was considering some mixed flower seed blend, like beneficial bug mix, bee feed mix, fragrant mix, or the shade mix, as I don't have a lot of full sun areas in my yard.
