My Fall 2017 Switch Witch answers

10/5/17   would any witchees be interested in NASA swag? I'm now super-close to Marshall Space Flight Center and will be visiting the space center with my kiddo pretty regularly. If so, what would you like? Clothes, a mug, magnets, a plush Snoopy wearing a flight suit?
Nothing springs to mind.   does anybody like anything from Solstice Scents? I LOVE their Jack and the Devil. http://www.solsticescents.com/
I have tried some of their scents but haven't found anything that works for me. I'd rather have NAVA, BPAL, Moona, Haus of Gloi, or Cocoa Pink.   10/3/17

Witchee, would you like anything from the Trading Post Halloween update?
III. MY SECRET DEEDS Hair Gloss
IV. HEARKENING TO THE DEATH WATCHES IN THE WALL Atmosphere Spray
VI. LOUDER! LOUDER! LOUDER! Bath Bomb

10/1/17

Awesome farmer's market by my house. They have a local honey stand (which also sells things made from local honey like Propolis tincture!); there's a small apothecary and she additionally makes soaps and hand-made, hand-poured scented candles; plus a guy that makes an array of BBQ and Hot Sauces. Does any of this appeal? Would you like anything from my local farmer's market?
I love local honey and things made from honey. No bar soap. Love candles. Iffy on the BBQ/Hot Sauces because sodium. If no salt/sodium, I love hot sauces, especially jalapeno sauces.

Smolder Cosmetics. Do any of their products (glitter, eye dusts etc) appeal to you? https://smoldercosmetics.com
I'm sure they do (especially sparkly) but I have a ton of indie makeup that I've never even opened.

Anything from Strobe Cosmetics (http://strobecosmetics.com)?
Again with the not wearing makeup for a year.

How would you feel about getting Hello Kitty stuff?
No thanks, too pink and cheerful. I'm all about Gloom Cookie and Emily the Strange and darker things.

Would you like to get some favorite recipes?
What I can eat is pretty limited so unless they are kidney failure diet recipes, probably not.

Would you like anything from my shop? https://www.etsy.com/shop/LisaNut?
No thank you, I don't see anything that catches my eye.

9/28/17

Haus of Gloi Fall II update?
I already answered this below (9/8) when the announcement first came out. I put the list of what I'd like from Fall Update 2 there.

9/27/17

How do you feel about these little guys? https://lovemomiji.c...imited-editions
I really don't have a place for stuff like that.

9/26/17

What are your top three most wanted DC'd or previous LE BPALs?
Goth Queen, Resin Cast Meat Skull, F54

What are some things you do NOT want to receive?
* Bar soap. Please $deity, no bar soap. (unless you make it! then please bring ALL OF YOUR SOAP.) I make soap and I have SO. MUCH.
* I also don't need any tealights, I buy those unscented by the 100's.
* no socks. I rarely wear socks and I am very picky about them when I do. I have super large feet so most women's socks don't fit me anyway.
* hair clips, barrettes, pins, etc. (I shave my hair on the sides/back and spike/tease it on top.)
* sodium
* nuts/dried fruit

is there anything from here that you might be interested in getting a print (or pillow/make-up case/etc) of?
http://www.blackabbeystudios.com/store
No, sorry, I didn't see anything I had to have.

Claire's has some super cute Halloween stuff. In the style of Haunted Mansion - black lace collars, lace and sparkle masques and the like. A few items in Dias de los Muertos style. Would you be interested in such things?
No thank you.

9/25/17

Anyone like/want calendars or dayplanners? I could use a 2018 calendar but don't feel obligated. Last year I received a cool Sugar Skull one in my 12 days of christmas swap.
If you like stationery, do you like plain, colors, images, or specific DON'T LIKES? I don't want stationery, thank you.
What about general desk stuff like cool colored paperclips and post it pads? Nope, I need zero desk stuff. Someone got me like 20 cool post it note pads and I've been giving them away like crazy because I rarely ever write anything. In a former life like 20 years ago I was once a secretary and I have SO MUCH desk stuff from that time period including note pads I still haven't used. I have boxes of pens, pencils, tape, paperclips, colored paperclips, purple file folders, etc. And then I worked at Microsoft and raided the office closet and had EVEN MOAR desk stuff that was all thrown in a box to take with me when I left. I still use my microsoft stapler.

Does anything catch your eye from Ten Thousand Villages? http://www.tenthousandvillages.com/
I looked at the sale section and was attracted to some of the iron and stone things and then saw they were over $70 after being marked 50% off, and closed the window. Then I reopened it at looked at other things but anything I'd want is much too expensive.

Would you be into receiving hand made (crocheted, sewn, felted, chain maille, scale, or duct tape, in my case, depending on the item) dishclothes? Scarf/shawl? Hat? Bag? Anything? Colors? (Duct tape, chain maille, and scales come in colors.)
I need more bags like I need a hole in the head since we make them, but if you need to hand craft things for SW - I totally get it. I need to do it too. I have a list of knitted and crocheted things I'd like to receive in my Ravelry Bundles (there is one called Make for Me and another called Vampire/Halloween swap.) I'll try to add sewn and hand made things to my Pinterest when I have a moment.

Do you collect anything from SBUX like City Mugs, City Mug ornaments, City Cards, or Bearistas? If so, which do you need/want? Or would you like a City Mug or an ornament for fun?
I'd love the little city mug ornaments or a city card from your city!! As I said in the thread, you can probably just ask for a card and they won't make you load money on it.

Would anyone be interested in having any of Abigail Larson's artwork (either as a print or on something, like a pillow, blanket, or t-shirt)? https://society6.com/abigaillarson
Enablers!! Yes, this is the kind of artwork I like. My top would be Dark Unicorn (!!!!), Little Bat, Krampus and Perchta, and Unkindness of Ravens (grey) but there are many more I like. Unfortunately the Dark Unicorn and Little Bat are very limited to what they come on. Dark Unicorn as a big print or a tote, Little Bat as a stainless travel mug or a tote. Would also take throw blankets, rectangular pillows, beach towels, ipad skin, iphone hard case, tote bags... I added a bunch of things to my amazon lists.

Anybody want homemade fudge? I can do chocolate with or without nuts, peanut butter, and butterscotch.
Mmmmmmmmmm fudge. Holly made me some peanut butter fudge last year and it was awesome!!! I can't have nuts or nut butters so maybe just regular or butterscotch? I'm supposed to limit chocolate but I'm pretty good at limiting myself to a small amount every day. I usually have to freeze things so they won't go bad before I can eat them.

what would you like from the Weenies updatus giganticus???
I updated my wishlist and ISO with what I'm interested in. There's only two bottles (the bold ones) that I'm super excited about - I'd rather have Eclipses and Liliths first before they go down. I really hope Liliths are up until November.... bank account needs time to regenerate.

9/24/17

do you collect the art cards that BPAL sends out? Any in particular that you are looking for or definitely don't need?
No, not really. I have some extra original run Carnaval cards if anyone needs.

Do you like this beautiful art, and she makes stickers and prints...SOOOO gorgeous: https://www.shannatr...om/paperprints/
Those are awesome! I love Corvid Love the most with The Dahlia Tree second.

Favorite animals or wild creatures or mythological creatures?
Hippocampus, equines in general (especially Friesians), unicorns, corvids, ferrets, rats, bats, pibble and lurcher type dogs, dolphins, do gargoyles count as mythological creatures?, hedgehogs, deer.

Would you like any swag from the Depeche Mode concert? (pins, posters, shirts, program, dunno what they'll have!)
YES I WANT EVERYTHING. But I won't have the monies so I'll probably get a shirt or a necklace or something.

Is anyone interested in the new Resistance scents that the Lab just released (Take a Knee and SN: Flor de Maga)?
I'm not really interested in either of those scents, although maybe a decant of Flor de Maga would be interesting. I googled it and some people say it smells like jasmine, others that it smells like Champagne.

Is anyone here into zero waste, plastic free living, urban homesteading, or any simplicity/minimalism-esque lifestyles? If so, could you use any tools or equipment?
We do what we can but it's tough since my dad doesn't have the same mindset and is always buying crap. I would love beeswax food wraps, unpaper towels, plastic free food storage, etc.!!

9/23/17

Are you interested in anything from Bath & Bodyworks? Which products and scents do you like?
I don't use any of their stuff that goes on skin so I never take advantage of the free things, but I don't mind their candles, wall flowers, room spray, pillow spray, etc.
- I like the lavender cedarwood, vanilla patchouli, frosted cupcake, exotic coconut, fireside marshmallow, honey vanilla, mahogany teakwood... any of the sweet vanilla/mashmallow scents. (I have a 3 wick candle in Winter Night and like that too.) No pumpkin please.

What kind of crystals would you like?
Anything purple, blue, green, pink, red, white, black... I got a little set of tiny crystals in bottle for making mojo bags (because I needed citrine and since that's yellow, it's not something I would normally get.) I don't have any labradorite and I always welcome quartz, aqua aura, amethyst, hematite, auralite 23, fluorite (especially with a balanced amount of green/purple/white.)

Pumpkin or Zucchini bread? I'm not really supposed to have squash but I've been eating zucchini bread. I figure the amount of squash in it is negligible. I make the Smitten Kitchen pumpkin bread and its soooo good.

What kind of homemade cookies are your favorite? anything chewy, I don't like crisp/crunchy/crumb makers. Snickerdoodles, pumpkin chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, pretty much anything. Princess Buttercups were my favorite but not supposed to have peanut butter. Sparkly unicorn poop cookies! (My mom used to make those for me, basically sugar cookies. WUT. I'm over 40, but that doesn't mean I'm too old for Unicorns.) I love spritz, especially almond flavored.

Interested in trying some of our rose petal (rose petals, sugar, everclear) or lavender vanilla bean (lavender, vanilla bean, vodka) liqueur?
I love rose petal anything.

Want some honey from the bees on our property?
I want all of the local honey.

Would you like some homemade jam? I have blackberry, rose petal, strawberry rhubarb, peach, and cherry.
Sure!

How about some homemade candied jalapenos with garlic cloves? I have regular and with habanero.
NOM NOM NOM

I didn't dry any apples this year but I was thinking of heading over to Green Bluff and seeing if any honeycrisps are left. I have a commercial dehydrator so let me know if you are interested in any "Apple Crips" (as voodoocatwoman calls them!) I wash, peel, core, and slice before dehydrating.
Yum!!!

9/22/17

Would my witchee like this to warm up the fall coffee cup?? https://www.truelemo...gory-s/1871.htm
That sounds good! I'm not a HUGE fan of hot apple cider but once in a while is great. I have some teavana tea that tastes like apple cider too. nom nom.

do you like to take baths? if so, do you like oils, salts, things that fizz, all of the above, none of the above?
I take baths very very infrequently, I'm mostly a shower person. But I do love me some bath stuffs once in a while!! Yes to oils, salts, things that fizz.

What style/make/etc of phone do you have? What about size of tablet? Laptop? Would you like decals, skins, or cases for any of these?
I have an iphone 6+ but it's not currently activated so I only use it as a camera, watch, and at places that have wifi... I have a purple otter case for it, so I'm all good there. I have an ipad air 2 (I think) and I recently bought a new case for it but I don't like it very much. It has the tri-fold thing that doesn't work very well on my pillow. I'll have to figure out what my old one was; I bought it at the verizon store when I purchased my ipad ages ago and don't remember the brand or model but it made a hard flat surface and the ipad itself was the stand instead of the case folding, if that makes any sense at all. Worked much better for reading in bed. (I use my ipad mostly as a kindle reader, movie watcher, or web surfer from bed or the couch.)

9/21/17

See's Candy. My absolute favorite. They have special Halloween candy..any of these pique your interest?? Cinnamon Apple Scotch Mallows, Pumpkin spice truffles, pumpkinspice lollypops, caramel apple lollypops, or any other of their chocolates, etc?
No pumpkin spice anything, no lollypops, not especially fond of apple flavored things (except actual apples.) I do love some of their other chocolates like the brown sugar truffles and the buttercream truffles. chocolate covered caramels, molasses chips... the "nuts and chews" box (except I'm not supposed to have nuts, boo.)

Are any witchees into coloring books?
No, sorry.

Witchees, is there anything that catches your eye at Animi Causa (https://www.animicausa.com/shop/)?
They have super cute kitchen things but I try to avoid "plastic" and "metal" - without other information on materials I'm dubious. I mean, is it BPA free? Stainless? What?

If I were to find an adorable autumnal/Halloween-y dish/flatware/etc. design, how many settings would be needed in your household?
I was lusting over the skulls and vines from Fiesta but way too expensive plus I'm staying with family so don't need my own right now, it would just be packed up until I get back on my feet and find my own place (if that ever happens, what with all of my health issues. sigh.) I could use one really large platter that is suitably flattish for putting on my altar and using it to group things (candle holders, crystals, goblets, etc.) I was going to do the skulls and vines but they don't offer a large enough plate/platter.

9/20/17

Do you like Broadway shows/music? If so what are some of your favorites and/or ones that you hope to see or listen to eventually? Would you like merch from your favorite shows or CDs from shows you want to listen to?
Some. I've seen Phantom. Would have liked to have seen Wicked. Don't really need any CDs and can't think of what merch I'd need. I already have music for Phantom, Cats, and various ALW stuff. (Although Repo The Genetic Opera is really more my style...)

I'm heading to NYCC in October! Is there anything I can get my Witchee while I'm there?
YES PLEASE. I found a fairy for the con exclusives that I want. Do they bring Dolly Kei to regular cons or just anime ones? Some of the other unreleased scents might be fun. I have The Beldam but I think there are some unreleased Coraline and other scents that they take to cons. I have the three Steampunky airship ones. Honestly, I probably want Eclipses and Liliths more though.

I'm going to Edmonton Expo this weekend (It's Edmonton's version of comic con). Would a witchee like anything from there?
Ummm maybe? I have no idea what is there. When I go to cons I end up buying artwork or bidding on it anyway. Each piece speaks differently to me. You could look at my etsy or pinterest artwork categories to see what I'm attracted to. I love games too... I have Exploding Kittens but I'd love expansions or Cards Against Humanity (although I really don't have anyone to play with. I could always take it to Seattle when I visit and make people come over and play.)

Anything catch your eye from this site (globalgirlfriend.com)?
No, sorry.

Do you have any favorite, lesser-known stores? Especially ones that sell hand-crafted or independently made items.
Lots of stuff on etsy. I'm lusting over a bunch of Fresh from the Cauldron yarn. Also KnitCircus yarn OMG. And Twisted Fiber Art makes lovely yarn. WHAT I LIKE YARN. But yes, I definitely prefer indie hand crafted stuff over stuff from big box stores. My friend Sara runs The Sticky Wrapper and makes excellent caramels, she also does bath bombs under another name (Skinful Essentials) but she doesn't have a lot listed in her store right now.

Imagine you're going to the most gigantic art & craft show imaginable, and money is no object - what kind of things would you gravitate towards and probably spend money on? Include as specific as you want to get!
I'd probably gets tons of yarn. And possibly wall art and jewelry (even though I never wear it. I'm always attracted to sparkly shiny gems and crystals.)

9/19/17

Are you interested in anything from Think Geek? http://www.thinkgeek.com
Yes, I have a wishlist linked to my SW Help. AND OMG PRINCESS BRIDE TRAVEL MUG AND GAMES.

Do you have something you wish you put on your original questionnaire/forgot to put/would like to add on to?
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm don't remember right now?

Any additional misc. information about yourself you want your Witch to know? (I think this was on the survey, but again if there's something that you forgot...)
Not that I can remember right now. (where's that remembrall?)

If you could decorate your house (or one room) in any one theme, what would it be? Your answer can be as simple ("Star Wars" or "Baroque" or "Modern"), or complicated or a combination (e.g. Victorian Gothic) as you feel best fits.
Either super gothic castle or something out of Skyrim. gargoyles, grotesques, grey stone, plush velvet hangings.

Aprons: Do you wear them, do you want one? Utility, decorative, cooking or crafting?
I have some aprons packed up with the rest of my stuff somewhere (a black one with a skeleton - I had a bones/skull/skeleton theme going in my kitchen.) I can't find my hair cutting apron so something like that might be useful since I still cut hair once a month or so. (It would need pockets. Like the BPAL apron would probably be perfect.)

BTW, would my witchee be interested in something like this? (photo of black and white striped knitted doll)
Stuffies and plushies and knitted dolls would die a horrible death by Zuul here. She would shake and shake and shake and rip and tear and eviscerate gleefully.

9/18/17

It seems like there's a question about socks on the questionnaire, but I don't think it got down to this level: Do you wear them? Any particular style (crew length, knee high, anklet, boot, etc.) or fiber (wool, cotton, bamboo anything but wool, etc.) preference?
No socks please.

Would you be open to previously-loved books?
No books please.

What about partial-full bottles of BPAL or BPTP?
Those are always fine.

Fandoms?
I would totally wear hoodies or use things that are related to my fandoms. Fabric would be especially fun (I already have a good amount of NMBC, MLP, Doctor Who, and some Zelda and GoT fabric.) Also YARN - I have so much yarn on my etsy wishlist that is related to Supernatural or one of my other fandoms.

Patrick Rothfuss' King Killer Chronicles!!!! I have the middle piece for a TAK game that was sold last November (can wear as a piece of jewelry, etc.) but could really use the board, pieces, instructions, etc. for TAK. The Tinker's Packs (https://thetinkerspacks.com/) has clothing, cards, jewelry, calendars, etc. They also have Dresden stuff. And artwork. And BPAL. (I already have all of those BPAL but I love going over to that website and lusting over all of the hoodies and jewelry, even if I don't normally wear jewelry.)

Also love LOTR, Zelda, NMBC, Firefly, Harry Potter, Buffy, Princess Bride, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who (especially Weeping Angels), MLP (not as much, but a little), Guardians of the Galaxy, V for Vendetta, Doctor Horrible, Twin Peaks, Red Dwarf, Supernatural, Stranger Things, Dresden Files, etc. There are SO MANY I am forgetting - I don't remember them until I look at a website and then squee in joy over something. My NMBC pj bottoms died so now I have some Groot PJ's.

9/17/17

I'm in France at the moment, is there anything here you might like? I'm in Provence, the land of lavender, so if you like that flower in particular just say so!
I love lavender! France is also the land of magical tea - I have a very extensive tea wish list from Mariage Freres and Damman Freres on my Amazon edibles wish list. I have way too much tea but I'd never say no to tea from Mariage Freres. The butterscotch is to die for.

are you into divination? What kind(s) do you currently do? Do you want more books and/or tools for that type (e.g. new tarot cards, new runes)? Is there a new type of #divination you've been meaning to try, and if so, are you looking for the tool, a book on the subject, or both?
I haven't been active doing it for many years - I'd love a new set of Tarot or Runes. I have a vampire set somewhere. OMG THE LAST UNICORN TAROT SET KICKSTARTER. (dies)

9/16/17

Favorite gemstones?
I think we covered this in the original questionnaire? I'll paste my answer from that. anything blue, purple, grey, or black. I flove Alexandrite (especially with a deep purple and a good blue color change as opposed to pink/green), tanzanite, amethyst, hematite, moonstone, opal, etc. Not necessarily for jewelry but I have some auralite 23, celestite, snakeskin agate, spirit quartz, aqua aura, etc. I love Ellensburg's Blue Agate.

If you enjoy jewelry do you like discrete and elegant, flashy and gaudy, small and light, or large and chunky?
No flashy, gaudy, large, or chunky. But not tiny either.

Any love of pirates or SCA?
yes, I like dressing up and going to the local Ren Faire (they even have a pirate weekend.) I wouldn't mind playing more with SCA but I just don't have the energy; I have a bunch of friends in Seattle who are in it and I loved going to their events and feasts. I have a great medieval cookbook (The Bors Hede book of cookry) that we make stuff from all the time... My son used to wear his pirate hat ALL THE TIME in public. He's already 7' tall so stands out anyway...

Is there anything you would like from Disney World?
All of the Nightmare Before Christmas!! I'd love more canisters and bowls/plates. No coffee cups though unless they are both 1) ceramic and 2) have a lid to keep out flying bugs (no plastic please.)

Are you a Potterhead? If so, to which house do you belong?
All of the quizzes put me in Hufflepuff, which kind of used to annoy me, but the Honey Badger IS my spirit animal.... plus I'd totally be like Newt if I could. So I guess that's ok. (I despise yellow though, so really only the slytherin colors are good unless you're going with blue/silver as Ravenclaw, but it SHOULD be blue/bronze, ugh.) Send me all the chocolate frogs.

How do you feel about chokers?
Too tight? I'm old and getting that fat neck/chin thing and chokers just emphasize it.

9/15/17

Here's a few questions from me: Would you like some Halloween or other themed decor in the form of a banner, something like this http://www.etsy.com/...n-decor-vintage? If so, would you prefer a traditional style or a vertical door type?
Sorry, but that style is SO NOT ME. I absolutely loathe orange and brown - and have zero place for banners since I'm staying with other people. Also we live in trumpland and the people around here are super judgy about halloween things, so I try to keep all of my bats and skulls in my room.

Do you live near a Trader Joe's? If not, are you interested in trying any of the numerous Pumpkin goodies they come out with this time every year?
I live near a Trader Joes so I'm good. I have already tried the chocolate mousse pumpkins to see if they would be something I could ship to a witchee. They're not sealed or packed well enough unfortunately (too fresh bakery type things) but damn they're good. Also I loathe pumpkin spice so please don't get me anything "pumpkin" flavored, bleah. I like REAL pumpkin but squash is one of the things to limit with kidney issues. I might have to have some pumpkin bread anyway. (A reminder, I can't have nuts or dried fruit either.)

Do you like to cook and/or bake? Could you use any specific ingredients (spices, oils, salts, extracts, etc.) or kitchen utensils/gadgets?
I like to cook and bake but my dad is really weird about food, and the fridge and kitchen being his. He's ALWAYS in the way and I just prefer no drama so I stay out of there as much as possible. no gadgets please, there would be fights over where to put them since everything is HIS. Parents have a very well stocked spice cabinet and I've already bought most of the medieval spices I need except for a few. (Spikenard, cassia buds, cubebs, poudre forte, poudre douce. You can get the latter two at World Spice Merchants in Seattle. Spikenard is finally back in stock at Rose Mountain Herbs but they were out of cubebs. I think Starwest Botanicals has cubebs or maybe they could be found at an indian or international grocery. Most of the prices on Amazon for them are way too high.) No salts please, can't have salt with kidney issues. I'm probably good on oils. I love honey flavored vinegar if you can find that anywhere but it's probably on the spendy side (and most of the salads I do these days come with their own dressing, which is what I would use it for.) I could use a 32oz PerfecTea maker (Teavana) but not really a super priority.

I'm at Ocean City MD for bike week......would a witches want anything from here? Bike or beach related??
ummm sure, I love beach glass and shells and sand dollars and stuff.

What is 1 thing you would love to see in your final box? Can be ANYTHING - your choice.
Lots of love! Ok, I have had some flashes of things I *REALLY* want. The Princess Bride travel mug from ThinkGeek. Canon Sweet Hots (mild) -- they don't sell them anywhere around here but you can look up what retail stores carry them on their website. Doh! That part of their webpage is broken. It looks like they've changed owners and are now located in New Mexico. If you have a store around you that sells them, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a jar or twenty. (*wink*) I guess I could just order some off of their website but I never think about it and I hate paying $9 shipping for just a couple of things.

Who would love some USPS eclipse stamps?
ooh, me me me

9/14/17

Do any of you potential Witchees have any kitties, puppers, or youngling humans you want spoiled in your packages? What treats or toys do they like?
I have Miss Zuul (pupper) and I'm sure she would love to be spoiled (although she already is...) I feed grainless treats and nothing that comes from China. Prefer no chicken jerky. She has her own section on my Amazon WL "For the Pups". She adores squeaky toys but they have to be really hardcore indestructible or she'll kill them immediately.

Is there any interest in any of the fragrance oils from the Nocturne Alchemy Weenies update?
Heck yeah. I added those to my SW Help list (in my signature) already. I'm probably way more interested in those than in the BPAL halloweenie update, sad but true. Probably because they're a new thing for me.

Is there anything you want from the trading post (or trading post etsy) that is available to order right now? (Fatherhood, Puppers, normal GC things)
In my ISO and Wishlist! I REALLY want Wednesday's Child (bottle) and decants of Granite and Pickle. I wonder when Liliths are going down, I hope not until November.

9/13/17

Are you a gamer? If so, what games are you currently playing and is there any merch for that game you'd love to have?
- Yes, I love games! I'm playing Ultima Online, Diablo III, and Skyrim. I have a WII but I'd love to get a Wii U and the new Zelda games for that. Merch? Not so much really. Some Zelda things are cute but they would have to be something useful? I haven't seen much Skyrim stuff I like except for pint glasses, but meh, I don't really need glasses. I'm not big on knick knacks or stickers. Unless I want them.

If you are a gamer do you have a steam/gamestop/amazon wishlist?
- I think there are games on my amazon wishlist (under GAMES) and I have a very small Steam wishlist. Oh! I have a wishlist on GOG.

How do you feel about the following scarf options (assuming you're into scarves)?
I don't want any scarves, thank you. I *do* love long skinny shawlettes that are kind of like scarves but aren't. It's a semantics thing maybe.

Like beer? What styles most appeal to you?
I like stouts occasionally and sometimes some ales (not IPA), but normally I don't drink beer. I do love me some sweet hard ciders though.

Like booze? What kinds?
Pretty much all kinds... I have huge bottles of baileys, kahlua, whipped cream vodka, sinfire, amaretto, and malibu rum. Could use fun flavored vodkas or whatever. (no fruit or bacon. Maybe other vanilla type flavors?)

Like Wine? What kinds?
Sweet meads, ice wine, and tawny port. Aesir Mead in Everett, WA is fantastic but I'd try sweet (no dry please) mead from any small meadery. (I've tried everything from Sky River and Chaucers, which seem to the be the ones sold in grocery stores. I'm local to Heirophant so I've tried all of their stuff. There is another in Tukwila, Washington that I've bought some bottles from but haven't cracked them open yet. Also have some "mead" from Ireland (Bunratty) but it's actually pyment since it has both honey and grapes. Mead just has honey.) I'd actually love cool local honey to make mead with. and maybe some kind of more in depth instructions on making the best mead, what equipment you need, yeast, etc.

Would you be interested in a set of hand-made hair falls? It's something I do for fun and I can make any length and do an array of colors!
I'm hopeless at attaching them since my hair is shaved on the sides/back so I'm not even sure they would work. (Plus I never go anywhere.)

For those who watch certain movies every year for Halloween, what are those movies, whether horror or not? Any favorite horror movies that aren't necessarily on the annual-viewing list? How do you feel about fan-made merch for these movies?
Practical Magic, Sleepy Hollow (Tim Burton), Nightmare Before Christmas. I don't know that I'll be able to watch them this year since my movies are all packed up and out in a shed somewhere while I'm staying with family. Favorite movies not on the halloween list? Well, yes, lots, but. Princess Bride! Lord of the Rings. Guardians of the Galaxy. Stardust. Harry Potter. I'd love fan-made things.

9/12/17

Here's a great local soapmaker I love--y'all see anything you would like? https://littleseedfarm.com/
products: Liquid soap, sugar scrub, body oil, elasticity serum. (NO bar soap)
-- my son would LOVE the beard oil. Maybe in bourbon.
scents: lavender, rosemary mint, rosemary patchouli

What are your favorite/preferred Halloween/autumn icons/images? Any to specifically stay away from?
Bats!! Also skulls, sugar skulls, ravens. Please no orange pumpkins, witches, ghosts, zombies, spiders, etc. Black and white pumpkins are good. velvet purple or blue pumpkins are good (with black or silver stems.)

Do you eat candy, and if so would Halloween candy be welcome? Specialty candy from local or unusual sources? Chocolate?
I eat candy... Halloween candy is ok. Prefer chocolate. I have lots of specialty chocolate on my amazon edibles list. Moonstruck, Frans, Seattle Chocolates, Dolfin, Vosges, Rittersport, all good. Your local places would be fun to try! Just no salted caramels since I am not supposed to have salt. (believe me, there is so much sadness over this.)

Do you want Fidget spinners, desk toys, or other frivolous things that you look at and decide you don't need enough to spend $ on but would make you happy to have?
No knick knacks or things that are super frivolous and take up space. I have SO MANY desk toys that are all packed up and put away because I have zero room.

Any zentangle lovers, people who would like to try it, or would you want a piece of someone else's zentangle art?
I am not an artist. I wouldn't mind a piece of someone else's art, especially if it came to me in fabric form so I could make bags with it.

Any love of hair toys, clips, ribbons, fascinators, mini hats, etc?
Nope, my hair is usually shaved on sides/backs and teased/spiked on top.

What local goodies may be of interest? Local Honey, jams, candy?
I always love to try local honey (from beekeepers or markets only please, not from grocery stores.) Wouldn't say no to jams (although we have SO MUCH JAM and I can't have peanut butter, so I haven't been eating any - but it would be an excuse to make scones, nom nom nom) and candy! I love going to farmer's markets and sampling things.

Are you interested in any subscription services like serial magazines, Birch box, ipsy?
Forest Nui Cobalt's crone boxes, yes! And Shihaya's boxes! Any kind of cool indie box thing with candles, incense, bath and body stuff, etc. Loot crate! Bark Box! No magazines and I'm not super into make up or nail polish. I don't know what else in in birch box or ipsy.

Would you like funky Halloweenie costume makeup like Gothic eyelashes, nail effects, black lipstick, etc.?
No, thank you. Not right now since I am a hermit and never leave the house anymore.

How do you like to listen to music? CD, 8 track tape, mix tape, Pandora or Spotify, I-tunes?
Very rarely I listen to music in my car on CD or my ipod. (itunes.)

Do you prefer reading on Kindle or actual book? What kind of books do you like? Would you like to be surprised with a scary, classic, horror book?
Kindle, but I really don't want any books right now. If you REALLY wanted to get me a book, I have tons to choose from in my Amazon wishlist. Please sort by priority. Unless they are marked as VERY HIGH or HIGH, I probably already have them but have just put them on this list to remind me to look for them in one of my boxes in the sheds or I want to read them again so I look for them at the library. Edit: I went through and moved/deleted tons of things from my amazon book wishlist. There is some other stuff in there that isn't too expensive that I wouldn't mind having.

Candles, Incense, or wax tarts? Do you have favorite brands or Weenies scents for the home? Would you like to receive a wax tarts burner, incense burner, essential oils diffuser, or Halloweenie themed candle holders?
I really like the Black Magic scent from Yankee Candle but it doesn't look like they have it this year? I also like Witches Brew (but I have like four huge jar candles from years past that I haven't even lit yet) and I'd be up for trying Haunted Hollow. The Fragrance Spheres would be fun. I have plenty of wax tart burners (electronic and tea light), diffusers, etc. Don't really need any candle holders - I used to sell for PartyLite and I have 50 boxes of candles and holders packed up in the barn. Now if I saw a super cute votive or pillar holder with bats or ravens or skulls, I would probably cave and want it. I mostly burn only votives, pillar candles (3" diameter), 3-wick pillar candles (8-9" diameter), or jar candles. I used to make candles for Sweet Spirit (and my own company) and really would like to start making my own again. I adore candles from Big Dipper Candles in Seattle, they make all beeswax candles (and one of the dogs that I fostered works there.) Just the plain beeswax or maybe Rapture or Lavender. or beeswax candles from anywhere! I have some candles on my amazon wishlists.

Witchee: are you interested in crafting materials?
Yes, I have wishlists for The Loopy Ewe, Knit Picks, and a "crafting material" wishlist on Amazon. Oh, and etsy of course.

I'm in Japan, is there anything specific from here you would want?
I like the awesome kit kats! (I can get green tea and strawberry flavored here. Any other flavors would be fun!) I dunno what else, whatever you think I might like. I used to collect Starbucks Bears and City Mugs so Japan only things might be fun.

How do you feel about nail wraps?
I have a friend who is always pushing jamberry at me and I finally bought some (over a year ago) to shut her up but I've never used them and don't even know where they are after moving. I was not excited about all of the fussing with putting them on. I was kind of eyeing the Nightmare Before Christmas ones last year but did not buy them.

if you were to receive something hand knit, what type of item would you like? hat, cowl, handwarmers, etc. and what color(s)?
- would you use knitted washcloths? a scarf? Are you allergic or sensitive to any fibers?
As a knitter, I am already overflowing with hand knit things. I don't wear hats, cowls, or scarves normally. I loathe triangle shaped shawls. If you're a knitter, you're probably friended with me on Ravelry (or you can go look at my profile and see my favorites and other details.) I have some bundles called "Make for Me" and some swap specific bundles for halloween/vampire swaps that I would be delighted to receive things from. I don't use knitted washclothes right now (I usually do when I have my own place but I have zero room to store things.) I hate acrylic, please don't make me anything with acrylic or send me any acrylic yarn. I'm not fond of cashmere or BFL either. My favorite fibers are merino or merino and silk, although I've come across some really nice merino, cashmere, silk yarns. Right now I prefer DK or Worsted weight yarn unless I'm planning on making a shawl in which case I prefer fingering. Oh colors -- I love black (sorry, I know it sucks to knit with black if your eyes are going), gradients especially, jewel tone blues (no navy), purples, greens, reds. Especially with black over them, like MadTosh's tart. White is ok in a gradient, like white to purple or white to red. No pastels or neons.

Do you like and/or want anything from Elements and Artifacts? You can be vague like "yes" or "no" or name specific past pieces you coveted or current ones you love, whatever works best.
Yes, I have some in my etsy favorites under jewelry. I have a sugar skull, two different bats, a silver rose leaf, and some amethyst pieces from her.

Would you like something hand sewn by your Witch? A dress, shirt, skirt, infinity scarf, something else?
It's a very nice gesture, but I don't wear scarves and I think anything else would be too difficult to fit without a seamstress taking measurements. My mom sews and we have a company making cosmetic and project bags. Occasionally we make medieval costumes or clothes.

Anyone want any kind of costuming accessories or makeup or odds and ends?
I hardly ever wear anything except eyeliner and eyebrow powder (I have to draw on eyebrows since I don't have any and my tattoos are fading.) I have realized that I don't have any good lipstick, so some lippies would be welcome. I like blue leaning plums. I could use really good mascara - I have really long blonde eyelashes but they aren't very thick. Most mascara clumps on me and makes a mess. I have contacts so I probably need water soluble.

9/10/17

Are there any hobbies or crafts you've been thinking of trying, but haven't had the chance yet?
I have been sent honey to make mead, but I haven't had the chance to do it yet. I also have recently acquired a very small amount of knitted blanks for yarn dyeing and need to do that. I have a small assortment of things to start doing stitch markers, but I need more supplies and some learning. I have items to do needle felting but again with the learning. I also have a few things to do cross stitch but my eyes have gotten so bad that I feel like I can't see -- time to go to the optometrist again.

Would you want to receive a custom spell kit or magical tea? If so, what purpose would you want it to be for?
Money and prosperity in general are always good, happiness, good luck, health, clear thinking. Something (I typed someONE haha!) to mend a broken heart and move on.

Blackthorn Hoodoo Blends Tea I'm interested in, for example:
Adam and Eve Tea
All Father
Beltane
Cauldron of Rebirth
Come to Me (Come Hither Mojo box would be awesome)
Cry on my Shoulder
Fiery Wall of Protection
Florida Water
Follow me Boy
Hecate
Imbolc
Lammas
Road Opener
Run Devil Run
Samhain
Santa Muerte
The White Witch
Triple Fast Luck
White Magic
Woman in Red
Yule

Do you like poetry?
Sure, some. I have plans for some poetry mitts some day.

Anyone like handmade critters, stuffed animals, or custom repaints?
Any plushies are likely to be killed by Zuul; she gleefully eviscerates them. Custom repaints on MLP are fun though! I love the Doctor Horrible and Cthulhu ones I've seen.

Would you enjoy any designer/specialty yarn for your own craftyness?
*looks over at huge yarn wishlists on etsy and TLE* I would think that speaks for itself! I am admittedly kind of a yarn snob and I buy mostly indie yarns. Twisted Fiber Arts is one of my favorites but they're getting to be out of my price range unless I buy from destashes on Ravelry. Fresh from the Cauldron is awesome, I have a ton of things from her on my yarn wishlist. It's all kind of spendy though!

Please provide wishes from the last two updates?
I will, precious, I will! It'll go in my ISO post that is linked to my wishlist (in my sig.) UPDATE - I have UPDATEd my wishlist with the last UPDATE wishes.

9/9/17

Would you be interested in things from Future Primitive? (http://futureprimitivesoap.co.uk/)
I'd be up for trying any of the bath, body, or hair items -- just no bar soap please. None of the Autumn scents look good to me but I found a scent list under the bath grains and I'm interested in: Bell Book & Candle, Festival, Rook & Raven, Sylph, and White Witch.

Are there any UK things you'd like to get?
All the chocolate! I like things like Curly Wurly bars and probably whatever local truffles or chocolate. Local tea is fun although I have *so much* tea it isn't funny. I don't really know since I haven't ever visited the UK except for a short layover in the airport. Whatever you think I'd like! (My friend was just in Ireland and brought me back some some bottles of mead and some different kinds of chocolate and fudge with beer and whiskey in them. nom!)

Are you into podcasts? If so, what are your favorites? Would you like any merch related to any of them?
No, sorry. I'm interested in Nightvale but not enough to dink around with podcasts.

Would you like something from Nui Cobalt Designs (https://nuicobaltdesigns.com/)?
I would love one of the holiday crones crate boxes, incense, oils... I'll have to do a more in depth look and give a list. I love her talismans and incense but the talismans are spendy and I have respiratory issues, so incense probably isn't the best thing for me even though I love it. Bath salts?

Or maybe some of Christina's lovely Halloween candles at Sihaya & Co. (https://www.sihayaandcompany.com/collections/halloween-collection-candles)?
I've been mooning over those, har har!! I'd love Sisterhood of the Moon. I would have liked one of the Athena boxes but I couldn't justify spending $80 on myself when it's Switch Witch time!

ILNP? Who would love one of their awesome holos like MEGA or one of their amazing chromes? http://www.ilnp.com/
I really don't wear nail polish that often on my hands BUT OMG. I like:
Raven, Abyss, Moonstone, Birefringence, Westwing, By Nightfall, Ava, Walking Home, Missed Calls, Deja Vu....

9/8/17

Do you enjoy stationery? I'm thinking cute/quality notebooks, washi tape, stickers, fun pens etc.
I have issues with my hands not working and I find it really hard to write anything (so I rarely even include notes in packages, I suck!) so no pens or notebooks or anything like that for me please. I do love and USE spooky washi tape (bats, skulls, etc.) when mailing out BPAL because it's easier to get off the bubble wrap and then people can re-use the bubble wrap instead of throwing it away but I'll be honest - I have enough washi tape to last me for over a year. Stickers are more of a meh but if they were really cute and to my taste, I would use them. I love bats and skulls and snarky unicorns.

Are you interested in anything from Cocoa Pink?
- Scent wise: Black, Black Marshmallow, Black Vanilla, Black Velvet, Black Widow, Broomstick, Come-hither, Cozy Blanket, Fear of Ghosts, Genevieve, Lipstick Stains, Marshmallow, Monster in the Walls, Naughty, Sensory Deprivation Tank, Stanley Hotel, The Upside-Down, Vanilla on the Rocks, Vanilla Rose,

- Product wise: ShampPink shampoo, dermabrasion sample, I'm 29 serum, either the coco mango or the voluptuous body butters, linen spray, sugar scrub. No perfume please.

- Or Haus of Gloi?
- Scent wise for bath products (not perfume), I'm interested in Grimoire and The Horseman. And non halloween, I've always wanted to try the Haus Amber. Also Cozy Sweater, Lavender Sugar, Moon Dog, A Place in Space all sound good.

- For perfume only, the birthday ambers are on sale and I was wanting to try Amber & Rose, Amber & Incense, or Amber Noir. The Fall Black Musks are killing me, I love black musk. I'm most interested in Black Musk & Nag Champa, Black Musk, Leather & Rose, Black Musk, Anise & Vanilla. I've never smelled their black musk though, so I hope it's good!

- Product wise: No soap or hair gloss please. I like their lip balms (no chocolate or coffee, prefer vanilla/honey/rose/lavender/mint), pumpkin butter, sugar exfoliant, and would be happy to try the candles and bathing dust. I would like to try the butterbombs in vanilla amber or marshmallow. Maybe Sleepy Time but I'm not sure what scents are in it yet since the Fall Part II isn't up until October.

Would you be interested in a Halloween wreath?
If you were to make it, sure! I love black, black and white, black and blood red, black and purple, (but no red and purple together - white is ok with black & ), skulls, bats, ravens... I'm a huge NMBC fan. absolutely no brown, yellow, orange or country cute type stuff, gothy only for me. I like the two black and white ones but I don't like the one with little balls all over it.

Have you seen the (Lush Halloween collection.) And what would you like?
ALL THE THINGS. I love Lord of Misrule but I still have a large shower gel from last year. Goth fairy shimmer bar? I do love their bath bombs, perfume, shower gel, powders, greased lightning, angels on bare skin, and some of their moisturizers. I like their rose, jasmine, patchouli.. pretty much everything really. (except the lip stuff, I don't need any of that. I prefer tubes and non-tinted for lip balm.) My favorite scents are Blue Skies & Fluffy Clouds, Twilight, Lust, Candy Fluff, Snowcake, Rose Jam, Butterball, Silky Underwear, Tramp, etc. (I haven't liked any of their plain vanilla scents like vanilliary.)

9/7/17

Are you interested in anything from the Moonalisa Halloween update?
- Scent wise: Cedarwood & Patchouli, Mad Heriot's Parlor, Witch Wood, The Witching Hour, Rumpkin (I don't usually like pumpkin, but I do like pumpkin & lavender.) Also curious about: Conjuring Room, Dusty Attic, Forever~ and ever, and ever, Come Play With Us,

- Product wise: 4in1, Butter Rich Cream, Bath Brew, Carpet Fresh, Dusting Powder, Room Spray, Sugarload Scrub, Sugar Scrubby Scrub, Milk Bath, Lip Butter (Burnt Sugar, Maple Sugar, or Butterscotch Marshmallow), and the scented candles. I also like her perfume. (But no soap, potion lotion, or hair gloss please.)

What are your coffee and/or tea preferences? Organic when possible.

- Coffee: whole beans or ground? Whole bean (except I don't know if I can find my grinder or my french press.) Since moving here, I have been using the Keurig. I really like Peet's and Seattle's Best K-Cups but my family already buys those so not really a priority.

- Flavor and roast preferences? Sumatra, Hazelnut, Toffee. Dark roasts usually.

- Tea: black, green, herbal, flavors? Black. I've been using Harney & Son's tea capsules for the Keurig in Hot Cinnamon Spice, Paris, and Peppermint because I don't usually feel good enough to wait for water to boil and tea to steep. I have about 6 book sized boxes full of tea that I couldn't fit in the house, so really I don't need any tea. I do need to brew some rose flavor, ginger peach, or licorice mint every so often though.

- Loose leaf or tea bags? Again, I've been using the Keurig. Otherwise I'd do loose leaf.

- Anything specific you don't like? I don't particularly like anything besides black tea (especially flavored) except for the mint/licorice blends (Aveda Tea is SO GOOD) and a few Traditional Medicinal blends like Breathe Easy.

- Are you in need of any gadgetry? I could actually use one of the LARGE perfect tea makers from teavana (the 32oz?) - I have a smaller one but I use 20oz + mugs so it doesn't fill them. I really do NOT need coffee mugs unless you can find a ceramic 20oz size with a lid. I love my Weeping Angel mug from Think Geek that has a nice ceramic lid on it - there are so many little flying bugs around here that they land in my tea, so I ONLY use mugs with lids but I prefer the ceramic ones. I'm trying to avoid plastics but stainless or glass is also ok if dishwasher safe; I'm liable to break glass and stainless seems expensive which is why I ask for ceramic. Think Geek also has a Zelda mug with a lid AND HEY, it's BACK IN STOCK!! Um, I'm tempted to get it but I will refrain. Edit: I had to buy something that wasn't on sale in order to use my $10 off. Now I wish I'd waited because PRINCESS BRIDE STUFF WAS RELEASED TODAY. I MUST HAVE THE PRNCESS BRIDE COLORING CHANGING TRAVEL MUG. MUST. HAVE. There is a 20% off link on my facebook.....

How would you feel about receiving a hand-painted container for your bpal and/or other treasures? I'm good on containers, I use the IKEA FIRA 9 drawer boxes and while they're full, I have another one left to build. But I'm trying to destash my collection since it's pretty much beyond life expectancy so I'm hoping to never build that one. I also use tea chests. Now if I could get someone to paint these IKEA chests for me that would be the best ever. I'm not an artist. I have have plenty of tins for travel purposes. I'm no fun, sorry!

Now, if you wanted to send me a hand painted container for something else, I'm your girl!! I have one of the (newly available again in the US) IKEA MOPPE chests and I'm using it for my witchy stuff, but I could definitely use a couple more. Their drawers are much too tall for BPAL bottles and aren't as deep, but they're great for chime candles, incense, sage smudges, etc. (3 drawers on top, 2 in the middle, and a wide one on the bottom.) They're about $14 so pretty reasonably priced, and they're pretty light - just bulky, so no idea on the shipping. But if you happened to be in Seattle or whatnot, I'll be traveling there in October and I'm sure you could find a minion to meet up with me.

Who is into K-Beauty (Korean beauty products like sheet masks) Um, I have no idea what these are. I was always a tom boy and -- even though I went to beauty school -- never really learned a lot about how to put on makeup. Beauty school was all about the hair, which I am extremely comfortable with perming, colouring, and shaving. *giggle*
- What are your faves if you are? See above.
- If you aren't would you like to try something? I have super oily skin so I try to moisturize multiple times a day, but my skin is also really sensitive and breaks out at the drop of a hat. Good moisturizer is my number one need. So far the "Kiss My Face" ones seem to do the best (besides the ones I can't afford, like LUSH or Bobby Brown!) I'm one of those organic if possible, phthalate free, no parabens, etc. people. But Grocery Outlet gets leftovers from Whole Foods and Co-ops, so I buy a lot of organic lotions and creams there for $1-3.

What are some NEW things you've gotten interested in this year? Could be anything, from a new hobby, new genre of book, new healthy way of living, new fav brand of whatever...
I've finally been bitten by Nocturne Alchemy and made my first purchase last December right before they closed the shop. I love all of their vanillas I've tried and would love to try their ambers, like Eternal Ankh. I have Black Musk, Ember Vanilla, Vampire Vanilla Bat (from a swap), Hygieia (from a swap), Crystal, Crystalline, Kobalt, Pyramid Vanille, Gothic, Lavender Dolphin (a gift and I LOVE IT SO MUCH), and Vanille Noir (another gift - the one that made me decide to try them!) I received a sample "vile" of Tomb of the Undead and I love that too. I love all of them except Gothic - even though it had perfect notes, it just doesn't scream to me. So would definitely love to try more!! I'm a huge fan of vanilla, musk, patchouli, sandalwood, amber, etc. I put a huge list of what sounds good in my SW Help link.

I was sent some honey and yeast to make mead - I'd love more instructions on how to do this and what kind of equipment I need. (I need a lot of hand holding!)

Also this year we have discovered that my kidneys may hate me, so new ways of eating are happening. Basically I'm not supposed to eat anything that I like.

9/5/17

What are your feelings about Scooby Doo?
Um, I used to watch it as a kid and I might have even seen the movies but I don't think I would buy any merchandise or do cosplay or anything.

How do you feel about indie makeup (read: loose eyeshadow, blush, highlighter)?
I love indie makeup! I have tons of eyeshadow but I rarely have an opportunity to wear it. I haven't really worn makeup for at least a year since I've been staying here in the middle of nowhere. I know zero people in this city and don't ever go anywhere. I can always use good mascara as long as it doesn't bother my contacts. I have really really long eyelashes but they're a light color so hard to see without mascara. I never wear blush. I prefer having ultra pale skin but I might have tanned a little bit out here. O_o (My foundation has SPF but since I haven't been wearing it...) I could use some lipsticks! I like blue leaning plums.

I drink this stuff almost everyday would anyone else be interested in trying it out? https://www.criobru.com/
Sounds lovely! I love drinking chocolate and the roast is intriguing. (I'm probably not SUPPOSED to with my kidney weirdness but I haven't officially been put on food restrictions yet.) Not the pumpkin spice -- NEVER the pumpkin spice. (shudder) The cinnamon one sounds good, the cherry tobacco one sounds fabulous, any of the more chocolate tasting ones would be to my preference.

9/4/17

Would you like one of the Teeturtle Halloween shirts?
OMG those are so cute. I think the relaxed woman's 2x would work for me. I love:
* Dia de los Unicorns
* NIGHT FURY GLOW IN THE DARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
* Stabby the Unicorn (not halloween, not the pink one)
* Nevermore (not halloween)
* Prickly on the inside (not halloween)
* Dangerous (not halloween)
* Batty for You
* Murder of Crows
* Resting Witch Face
* I <3 Candy Corn
* Bat-O-Lantern
* Unicorn-O-Lantern
* Werewolves for Change
* Stabbing Pumpkins
and like 5,000 more. All the unicorns, bats, ravens, hedgehogs, groot... Driver picks the music, haha!! I love the Supernatural ones too. THERE ARE TOO MANY.

My Fall 2017 13 Days of Halloween answers

9/14/17

Do you like to read seasonally, or do you like to read whatever whenever?
I have a large queue of books to read and review. :/ So please no books.

9/13/17
Would you like to receive a scarf or hat?
As I said in the question about knitted things, I don't wear scarves (unless they are super special that I picked out, sorry) and the only hats I wear are newsboy type caps, but again I am really picky and would probably need to pick it out and try it on.

9/12/17

Do you want wax melts?
I wouldn't say no - but I rarely rarely rarely use them. Like once a year, if that.

9/11/17

I'm in Japan, is there anything specific from here you would be interested in?
Mmmm fun flavored kit kats!!! (I can get green tea and strawberry here.)

I'm in The Netherlands. Is there anything from The Netherlands/Europe that you're interested in?
I have no idea since I've not been there on what is available. Chocolate? Yarn?

Bath & Body Works - love them or hate them? If the former, fave product types?
Well, all of their stuff has SLS's and they are definitely not phthalate or paraben free so pretty much a hard pass on any of their bath or skin products. I don't mind their candles and wall flowers (sometimes. Usually scents are much too overpowering and perfume-y but the vanilla scents are ok, although I'm totally sick of vanilla bean noel.) I really wish they still did the honey lavender pillow spray. I hate chamomile but I might be interested in the lavender pillow spray if it actually smells like real lavender. edit: I was just in there for shopping for swaps and their new Lavender Cedar wall flowers are great! Maybe the sprays too -- the Vanilla Patchouli and the Lavender Cedar. (I think they have both pillow sprays and room sprays.)

how would you feel about receiving a hand-painted container for your bpal and/or other treasures? if you are on board with that, would you want a big wood box (~50 bottles), a small wood box (~20 bottles) or a tin for carrying imps around?
I'm good on containers, I use the IKEA FIRA 9 drawer boxes and while they're full, I have another one left to build. But I'm trying to destash my collection since it's pretty much beyond life expectancy so I'm hoping to never build that one. I also use tea chests. Nail wraps - yay or nay? Would including a small manicure set to go with them help?
No thank you. I have a friend who does jamberry and is always pushing their stuff at me. I bought some once to shut her up but I've never used them.

9/9/17

Disney? I like going to disneyland and would love to someday go to disneyworld...
If so, any favorite characters? Bambi (what, I like deer), Eeyore (what, I have depression too), Mèrida is best princess imo but I doubt I would purchase anything specifically to do with her? I also grew up as a tomboy riding horses and stuffs, although I currently have no archery things. The compound bow and targets were left behind with the ex. Also Scottish. <3 <3 <3 Oh yeah, I always forget that NMBC is Disney. NMBC FTW! I have tons of NMBC stuff and collect the cookie jars. I could really use some more PJ's, mine have a hole worn in the bottom.
And to be more specific about Disney: How do you feel about Beauty and the beast? I like the movie(s)? The first one came out after my son was born (I think The Little Mermaid came out right before? I didn't name my son after the movie, but my friend named her daughter Ariel and my son was named Eryk.) At one point we had to stay in a small apartment between one house being sold and waiting for the new house to be ready to move into and Beauty and the Beast was the only vhs tape we had... my poor son got to the point where he was saying "NO BEAST! NO BEAST!" I still tease him about that. I kind of want to make a lace pattern based on the photo of the windows from the recent movie. Also I love that Gaston is incredibly gay.

And what about Harry Potter related items?
Well, I mean it depends on the item. I have all kinds of Harry Potter related yarn and patterns because it's something consumable that I can use. There are some cute Harry Potter clothing items from Torrid that I drool over. ALWAYS speaks to me and I have a mug that I keep makeup brushes in that says ALWAYS on the side and has a doe on the other. I would LOVE to go to Harry Potter world and I do enjoy receiving owls and chocolate frogs. I kind of drool over the Harry Potter lootcrate (and Firefly and ....) Dunno if lootcrate has relaxed women's babydoll type sizes, probably not. I don't wear regular men's t-shirts, I'm much too curvy and they don't fit me comfortably.

Pokemon? Any favorites?
I used to play Pokemon Go on my phone when I still paid for it, but I can't afford it anymore. Other than that, no. My son was really into Pokemon when he was little. (He's 27 now.)

Is there any thing, category, or brand from which you would absolutely NOT like to receive things (ie., you're overrun with candy corn, you don't do scents outside of BPAL, or if you ever see another Stephen King item, it will be too soon)?
* Bar soap. Please $deity, no bar soap. (unless you make it! then please bring ALL OF YOUR SOAP.) I make soap and I have SO. MUCH.

* I also don't need any tealights, I buy those unscented by the 100's.

* Also no books, physical or electronic, unless I specifically request them. Please ignore my Amazon book wishlist, it's mostly there for me at this point.

* no socks. I rarely wear socks and I am very picky about them when I do. I have super large feet so most women's socks don't fit me anyway.

* coffee mugs. I have boxes and boxes of starbucks city mugs because I used to collect them, but I'm considering getting rid of them all. The only mugs I would want would be a 20oz mug with a lid so bugs didn't get in it, but something that is machine washable.

What kinds of art/art medium do you most enjoy, or would you most like to receive, in the context of this swap?
I do have room to hang things on the wall since all of my other artwork is packed up and in storage. I collect grotesques and gargoyles. I have an artwork section on etsy too if you want to look at the kinds of things I like.

9/9/17

What rares are you dying to try?
There are a ton of eclipses and liliths that I'm going to miss out on - just updated my wish list with them. Goth Queen and Snake Oil Jelly Donut both come to mind. Blue wig spray? I JUST GOT SOME SNAKE OIL JELLY DONUT, WOO WOO.

Do you like comic books and/or graphic novels?
I do, or I used to when I could see, lol. Sandman, Watchmen. I have the first Lucifer graphic novel on kindle.

9/8/17

Are you ok with homemade food?
Yes, as long as you follow proper food handling techniques (I have a food handling certificate so hopefully people will be comfortable receiving from me) and - well, I'm really picky about non-GMO, no corn syrup, no red dye 40 or food dyes if possible, organic stuffs only. I also can't have nuts or dried fruit right now because of my kidneys. Or sodium. Or too much protein. :/ I'm not supposed to have coffee, chocolate, or dairy, but I would die without my daily coffee with cream. I figure all things in moderation but am still trying to follow the guidelines when I can. I'm not actually on a diet restriction YET, just guidelines. One more test next month to see how things are. But my GFR has been in the 40's which is third stage kidney disease and one level above dialysis. My GFR *should* be above 90.

If you are ok with decorations, do you have a preference for table-top, wall hanging, or window decorations?
I'd have to have wall hanging since I am staying with family while going through my divorce (god this is dragging on forever, it's been almost a year since I moved out of his place) and I only have one small room and no table space. I'd rather not cover the window since it is very small and my dog likes to look out it. I do love the halloween bottle containers (without corks, the ones that actually fasten so you can really use them) that come in different colours with cool bottle toppers and labels. Michaels had some really cool ones with bat or skull toppers. My mom got me a bunch of these for my birthday so I'm pretty much set...
I also kind of have an animal skeleton collection going. I have a raven, rat, small pug type dog, and larger floppy eared dog. I'd love a bat or cat!

How do you feel about stationary and/or papercrafting supplies?
I absolutely do not ever write anything except jotting a super small note down (my hands don't work properly - sometimes it's hard to knit or mouse) but I like spooky washi tape with skulls or bats!

How do you feel about kitschy/silly Halloween jewelry?
I feel like no fun! I don't wear even nice jewelry except my scent locket or occasionally another necklace or pendant. Sometimes rings/bracelets/anklets but right now I'm very swollen from kidney problems. So I'm sorry, but no.

Would you be interested in a Halloween wreath?
If you were to make it, sure! I love black and purple, skulls, bats, ravens... I'm a huge NMBC fan. absolutely no brown, red, orange or country cute type stuff, gothy only for me. I like the two black and white ones but not the one with coloured balls. I even have a wreath hanger on my door.

Do you collect anything from SBUX like City Mugs, City Mug ornaments, City Cards, or Bearistas? If so, which do you need/want? Or would you like a City Mug or an ornament for fun?
I don't collect them, but I do have a card from Hawaii that one of my besties sent me when he lived there, and it's my current fave. Any of this stuff sounds fun, though.

Anybody want homemade fudge? I can do chocolate with or without nuts, peanut butter, and butterscotch.
Peanut butter fudge is my favorite, although I like chocolate too. I can't each much of any flavor, though, because it's so rich. I've never tried butterscotch.

Do you like spicy foods? I am currently addicted to these suckers and want to send you some buffalo ridged kettle potato goodness (https://www.billygoa...shop/1lb-kicker)
Yes! Yum.

What would you like from the Weenies updatus giganticus???
I've already added them to my ScentBase wishes. (I added them all to the site when they came out the other evening, and updated my wish list while I was at it.)

Do you collect the art cards that BPAL sends out? Any in particular that you are looking for or definitely don't need?
I hang onto them, although I'm not a hoarder of them. I always pop one into swaps & such. I'm not looking for any in particular, but they're always nice to have.

Do you like this beautiful art, and she makes stickers and prints...SOOOO gorgeous: https://www.shannatr...om/paperprints/
I'm sure my witch can guess at this point that my favorite is Nostalgia (the black cat). Gorgeous! I also like Corvid Love, Raposa's Garden and Sky Prism.

Favorite animals or wild creatures or mythological creatures?
Cats of course (of all sizes), wolves, foxes, crows, bats, owls. Mythologically, the Cait Sidhe, Dragons! Given my work with Hecate, I'm also warming up to other serpents.

Would you like any swag from the Depeche Mode concert? (pins, posters, shirts, program, dunno what they'll have!)
Yesssss!

Is anyone interested in the new Resistance scents that the Lab just released (Take a Knee and SN: Flor de Maga)?
Yes, especially Take a Knee. I have Bluebonnet, which surprisingly works for me, although florals usually don't.

Is anyone here into zero waste, plastic free living, urban homesteading, or any simplicity/minimalism-esque lifestyles? If so, could you use any tools or equipment?
Not really, although we do grow our own herbs and some veggies, and we compost. Don't think we really need tools for that.

Are you interested in anything from Bath & Bodyworks? Which products and scents do you like? www.bathandbodyworks.com/
Nah, they're not my fave.

I am possibly going to a crystal / gem show tomorrow. I can't afford expensive gem stones, but... What kind of crystals would you like?
Something that I don't have would be nice, or a cool piece in one of my favorite stones. Here's what I currently have (faves marked with *): Moss Agate, Amazonite, Amethyst, Apache Tear, Aquamarine, Bloodstone, Blue Calcite, Blue Chalcedony, Chiastolite, Citrine, Dragonstone*, Emeralid, Fluorite**, Garnet, Ocean Jasper, Picasso Jasper, Rainforest Jasper, Wine Jasper, Labradorite***, Lapis Lazuli, Lepidolite, Malachite, Moonstone***, Snowflake Obsidian, Quartz, Rose Quartz, Strawberry Quartz*, Rhodocrosite, Rhodonite**, Sapphire, Shungite, Tiger's Eye*, Black Tourmaline.

Pumpkin or Zucchini bread?
Pumpkin! I do like zucchini bread too though.

What kind of homemade cookies are your favorite?
Made by someone else (because I'm not good at making these)? Pumpkin, snickerdoodle, or peanut butter. Made by me? Chocolate chip w/ pecans.

Could you use a muscle rub? (We make ours on the lunar cycle and it has menthol, wintergreen, habanero, cayenne, olive oil, st. john's wort, arnica, beeswax, calendula, and ginger. It tingles. We call it "Thunder Butter". If you have really really super sensitive skin, I would recommend against it. And don't take a hot shower or open all of your pores before using it.)
I have pretty sensitive skin, so probably not the best idea for me.

Interested in trying some of our rose petal (rose petals, sugar, everclear) or lavender vanilla bean (lavender, vanilla bean, vodka) liqueur?
Yes! Lavender vanilla bean sounds great.

Want some honey from the bees on our property?
Yum!

Would you like some homemade jam? I have blackberry, rose petal, strawberry rhubarb, peach, and cherry.
Blackberry, peach and strawberry rhubarb sound great.

How about some homemade candied jalapenos with garlic cloves? I have regular and with habanero.
Yum!

I would totally nom those.

Do you need any kind of dice bag, tote, project bag, cosmetic bag, pencil bag, or whatever? I have lots of bag patterns and fabric. We make bags under the name Twinkle N Twilight.
Or how about a couple of pillowcases?
I can always use a cute tote to take to the farmers market / grocery store. Pretty happy with my pillow cases (I have the cool moon phases ones from Sin & Linen).

Do you like to take baths? if so, do you like oils, salts, things that fizz, all of the above, none of the above?
I do. (It's a pain in the ass because our water pressure is awful, so it takes forever to fill the tub and by the time it's full it's not hot anymore. I end up heating water in a big pot on the stove and lugging it upstairs so it will be warm enough – so Victorian!). And I like all of the above.

What style/make/etc of phone do you have? What about size of tablet? Laptop? Would you like decals, skins, or cases for any of these?
I have an iPhone 7, but I'm planning on upgrading to the iPhone X next month. I have an iPad Pro (the big one) and a 27" iMac (late 2015 model). I have MacBook Pro, but my hubby uses it more than I do now that I have the iMac, because he handles most of our meetings & sales-y stuff. I would love a cool skin or decal for the iPad or iMac tho.

Would my witchee like this to warm up the fall coffee cup?? https://www.truelemonstore.com/category-s/1871.htm
Yum!

See's Candy. My absolute favorite. They have special Halloween candy..any of these pique your interest?? Cinnamon Apple Scotch Mallows, Pumpkin spice truffles, pumpkinspice lollypops, caramel apple lollypops, or any other of their chocolates, etc?
Yes! Yum.

Are any witchees into coloring books? Yes

Witchees, is there anything that catches your eye at Animi Causa (https://www.animicausa.com/shop/)?
Not especially.

If I were to find an adorable autumnal/Halloween-y dish/flatware/etc. design, how many settings would be needed in your household?
Just two.

Do you like Broadway shows/music? If so what are some of your favorites and/or ones that you hope to see or listen to eventually? Would you like merch from your favorite shows or CDs from shows you want to listen to?
Generally speaking, no, although there are a few that I like. I would love to see Hamilton; I've listed to the soundtrack and watched some videos and it looks great.

I'm heading to NYCC in October! Is there anything I can get my Witchee while I'm there?
These sound nice: Apple Marshmallow hair gloss, Apple IV, VI & VII. And anything cool from comics or other fandoms I'm into would be awesome.

I'm going to Edmonton Expo this weekend (It's Edmonton's version of comic con). Would a witchee like anything from there?
Sure! See above.

[b[Anything catch your eye from this site (globalgirlfriend.com)?[/b]
They have nice scarves and jewelry.

Do you have any favorite, lesser-known stores? Especially ones that sell hand-crafted or independently made items.
Have I mentioned my obsession with Cat Coven? And this is one of my favorite Etsy shops: https://www.etsy.com/shop/DeBaunFineCeramics

Imagine you're going to the most gigantic art & craft show imaginable, and money is no object - what kind of things would you gravitate towards and probably spend money on? Include as specific as you want to get!
Stones/crystals, pottery, small home goods like candle holders and such.

Are you interested in anything from Think Geek? http://www.thinkgeek.com
Sure! Wish list.

Do you have something you wish you put on your original questionnaire/forgot to put/would like to add on to?
Um.... not sure right now, but if I think of something, I'll add it to the top of my list. Maybe the what-do-you-collect question: I kind of (very selectively) collect POP figures.

Any additional misc. information about yourself you want your Witch to know? (I think this was on the survey, but again if there's something that you forgot...)
See above.

If you could decorate your house (or one room) in any one theme, what would it be? Your answer can be as simple ("Star Wars" or "Baroque" or "Modern"), or complicated or a combination (e.g. Victorian Gothic) as you feel best fits.
Modern rustic witch maybe? LOL.

Aprons: Do you wear them, do you want one? Utility, decorative, cooking or crafting?
Nope.

BTW, would my witchee be interested in something like this? (photo of black and white striped knitted doll)
Sure!

It seems like there's a question about socks on the questionnaire, but I don't think it got down to this level: Do you wear them? Any particular style (crew length, knee high, anklet, boot, etc.) or fiber (wool, cotton, bamboo anything but wool, etc.) preference?
I wear socks with boots in fall / winter, and occasionally other times. I do have a Sock Dreams wish list.

Would you be open to previously-loved books? Of course!

What about partial-full bottles of BPAL or BPTP? Sure!

So what are your favorite fandoms?
There are so many, and you can probably get those from my books / authors / etc. lists.

I'm in France at the moment, is there anything here you might like? I'm in Provence, the land of lavender, so if you like that flower in particular just say so!
Wow! Sure. I would say wine & cheese, but those might be a PITA to ship. Really, any cool little thing would be wonderful.

Are you into divination? What kind(s) do you currently do? Do you want more books and/or tools for that type (e.g. new tarot cards, new runes)? Is there a new type of #divination you've been meaning to try, and if so, are you looking for the tool, a book on the subject, or both?
Yes!!! All the yes. Here are the tarot decks that I currently have: The Lumina Tarot, The Marseille Cat Tarot, The Art Nouveau Tarot, The Wild Unknown Tarot, Tales of the Mystical Cats, Spirit Cats (oracle deck), The Tarot of Pagan Cats, The Earthbound Oracle, The Cleopatra Tarot, The Vertigo Tarot, Gateway to the Divine Tarot, Revelations Tarot, The Amanda Palmer Tarot. I am trying, as you might guess at this point, to find all the cats deck I can.

I also have a pendulum, a set of witch's runes, and a scrying mirror that I've just started working with. I don't have a lot of experience with any of these, so any sort of tool, info or literature on those would be helpful, in particular for the runes and pendulum.

ETA: And I just got a set of Ogham discs from the latest Crone's Crate! I don't know anything about these. Should be fun to check out.

World my Witchee be interested in a Tarot or Astrology reading done personally?
Sure! I'm pretty good with both of these but it's always useful to get another's perspective. I was born 2/1/79 at 1:10 pm in Norton, VA, USA. In case you want to do anything synastry-wise (which I would love to learn more about), my husband was born 2/17/73 at 7am in Tampa, FL, USA.

Does my Witchee need any magical supplies?
That would be fabulous. I always need more stones / crystals (some faves: labradorite, purple/green fluorite, moonstone, rhodonite; if you wanted to send me something I don't have, poke me, and I'll make a list . Herbs are always good too, particularly things I can't grow here (things I grow and therefore always have on hand: sage, rosemary, thyme, basil, wormwood, rue, pennyroyal, bergamot, betony, feverfew). Little bottles for storing herbs are great too (all mine are full). Incense or incense paraphernalia. Really, whatever you thought would be cool to send would be appreciated and used. I know that some people like to choose all their own altar tools and such, but I think that receiving things like that as a gift imbues them with more significance than something I just bought on Etsy. And I'm also very open to old things / (inexpensive) antiques for this purpose.

Would you be interested in any of the seasonal (or regular) soaps from Cellar Door Soap (https://cellardoorbathsupply.com)?
Lawd, yes! Scents that look most enticing: Dead Man's Bones, October Road, Moonrise Bonfire, Midnight Mocha, Apple Fest, Pumpkin Guts, Samhain Hard Cider, Pumpkin Chai Latte.

Favorite gemstones?
Labradorite, moonstone (rainbow, black, peach... all of them), fluorite, emerald, amber (yes, yes, not a gemstone), garnet. I'm crazy about rhodonite right now too.

If you enjoy jewelry do you like discrete and elegant, flashy and gaudy, small and light, or large and chunky?
It depends on the piece, I think. I'd check out my Etsy lists for examples of things I like.

Any love of pirates or SCA?
I've never participated in SCA, although I've always found it intriguing. I like pirates just fine too.

Is there anything you would like from Disney World?
Fave Disney characters: Maleficient, Marie (from the Aristocats), Eeyore, or Star Wars or Marvel stuff.

Are you a Potterhead? If so, to which house do you belong?
Yes! I'm Ravenclaw.

How do you feel about chokers?
It depends on how comfy they are.

Would you like some Halloween or other themed decor in the form of a banner, something like this http://www.etsy.com/...n-decor-vintage?If so, would you prefer a traditional style or a vertical door type?
I prefer the vertical door type.

Do you live near a Trader Joe's? If not, are you interested in trying any of the numerous Pumpkin goodies they come out with this time every year?
The closest TJ's is an hour and a half away, so I don't get to visit very often. And OMG YES ALL THE PUMPKIN THINGS! (Yeah yeah, "so basic," but if loving pumpkin is wrong, I don't wanna be right.)

Do you like to cook and/or bake? Could you use any specific ingredients (spices, oils, salts, extracts, etc.) or kitchen utensils/gadgets?
My hubby is more the chef than me, except when it comes to baking. Spices and such would definitely get used, though, particularly things you can't find at just any grocery (examples: galangal, The Ingredient Which Cannot Be Found; curry leaves, which I can find but have to make a special trip). And I love hot sauce.

I'm at Ocean City MD for bike week......would a witches want anything from here? Bike or beach related??
Sure! Beachy things like shells would be fun.

What is 1 thing you would love to see in your final box? Can be ANYTHING - your choice.
Salted caramels

Who would love some USPS eclipse stamps?
That would be fun!

Do any of you potential Witchees have any kitties, puppers, or youngling humans you want spoiled in your packages? What treats or toys do they like?
I included my furbabes in my questionnaire. And yes, if you're so inclined. I think I have the feather toys my kitties prefer on my Amazon list (lol) and I can also use the narrow version of the corrugated cardboard scratchers. And the puppy! Lupa is 9 months old and still very chewy, so she needs toys. The problem is our big girl, Veela, likes to turn things into pieces of things. Like, in a matter of minutes. I really can't exaggerate how destructive she is. So anything we get has to be super sturdy. As an example, we've had some luck with the Kong Wubba toys (the really tough ones, not the plush ones). Also, no ropes (Veela tears them apart in 5 minutes and tends to swallow the strings... if you have dogs, you can imagine the results ).

Is there any interest in any of the fragrance oils from the Nocturne Alchemy Weenies update?
Yes! They're one of my favorite etailers. I ordered Black Cats, Hallowcats, and Every Pumpkin Counts... but there are so many lovelies! I'll add any others I'm interested in to ScentBase wishes.

Is there anything you want from the trading post (or trading post etsy) that is available to order right now? (Fatherhood, Puppers, normal GC things)
Yes! On ScentBase wishes.

Are you a gamer? If so, what games are you currently playing and is there any merch for that game you'd love to have?
I'm currently mostly into ESO, although I pop into WoW occasionally too (I'm in that bored-with-this-expansion phase). My other fave is Final Fantasy XIV. Can't wait for the next Dragon Age game. In general, I like RPGs, MMORPGs and survival horror (although there's none of the latter that I'm playing at the moment).

If you are a gamer do you have a steam/gamestop/amazon wishlist?
I do have a Steam wishlist. Not sure how to share it, but I have one. User cammycat79.

How do you feel about the following scarf options (assuming you're into scarves)? Simple eyelet scarf - Pretty Chevron scarf - I'm not crazy about the chevron points at the bottom. Lacy and fuzzy - Pretty Skinny rib knit (extra long for lots of wrapping) - Very nice and snuggly looking Leafy! - My favorite of the lot

Like beer? What styles most appeal to you?
Yes. My favorites are: sours (think more Flemish sour than, say, that watermelon gose crap); various Belgian styles; Lambics (but not usually cherry); German hefeweisens; stouts (but not Imperials); ambers and browns, particularly nut browns. I'm not a big fan of IPAs and other really hoppy styles.

Like booze? What kinds?
NOT RUM. Anything but rum, lol. It gives me headaches (as in, one drink will give me a headache). Faves: Scotch, bourbon, good tequila, vodka. In terms of liqueurs, I like Baileys (or other Irish Creams), Chambord (or similar), Kahlua, various absinthe-like things.

Like Wine? What kinds?
So very much. I'm a huge wine nerd. Cabernet Franc is my favorite varietal, followed by Mourvedre / Monastrell. Geographically, I tend to favor Italians, and wines from Oregon (particularly their Pinot Noirs) and Washington. I love tart or dry German Reisling (Kabinett or drier), especially the tart ones (yes, I like my Reisling to basically taste like Sweet Tarts; so sue me). I'm a big fan of rosé (not that White Zinfandel bullshit; real rosés), particularly those made from Cab. In general, I prefer old world style reds. I like them complex and interesting. This isn't to say that I don't like new world stuff, because I do, but I prefer they not be too jammy / fruit bomb-y. I drink less white wine than red, but I do like it, particularly French whites. I rarely like sweet or dessert wines. I rarely like Sauvignon Blanc, because I don't like the "green bell pepper" note that so many of them have.

Oh but wait! Whoever came up with these three questions forgot my other beverage love: CIDER! This is the best cider on the planet. My personal fave is the Stayman Winesap, followed by First Fruit. In general, I prefer cider made champegnoise style like this one (which is not to say I won't drink others).

Would you be interested in a set of hand-made hair falls? It's something I do for fun and I can make any length and do an array of colors!
Sure! I typically keep my hair dyed some sort of fun color. Right now I have galaxy hair in blue, magenta, and purples.

For those who watch certain movies every year for Halloween, what are those movies, whether horror or not? Any favorite horror movies that aren't necessarily on the annual-viewing list? How do you feel about fan-made merch for these movies?
I always watch Trick 'r Treat, Nightbreed,

Here's a great local soapmaker I love--y'all see anything you would like? https://littleseedfarm.com
The liquid soap in Rosemary Mint sounds nice, and the activated charcoal detox scrub.

What are your favorite/preferred Halloween/autumn icons/images? Any to specifically stay away from?
Black cats (of course!), witchy things, crows, bats, pumpkins & pretty leaves. I am not a fan of spiders.

Do you eat candy, and if so would Halloween candy be welcome? Specialty candy from local or unusual sources? Chocolate?
Yes, and yes. I would love love love specialty candy from local or unusual sources (generally speaking, I am a fan of just about everything from local or unusual sources; I love to support small / indie businesses). And I do like chocolate.

Do you want Fidget spinners, desk toys, or other frivolous things that you look at and decide you don't need enough to spend $ on but would make you happy to have?
Sure!

Any zentangle lovers, people who would like to try it, or would you want a piece of someone else's zentangle art?
It's pretty but not really for me.

Any love of hair toys, clips, ribbons, fascinators, mini hats, etc?
Any hair thing for me needs to be able to cope with fine hair, otherwise it will just slide out. I do like fascinators and comfy-but-pretty headbands I can wear to yoga or out hiking.

What local goodies may be of interest? Local Honey, jams, candy?
Yes! See above question re: candy. I like honey too. But really anything.

Are you interested in any prescription subscription services like serial magazines, Birch box, ipsy?
I used to get Ipsy and liked it. I wouldn't mind trying something similar, skin care / beauty related. Or something cat related. Or witchy. Right now I get Magickal Folk's eclectic witchery kit, which I really like.

Would you like funky Halloweenie costume makeup like Gothic eyelashes, nail effects, black lipstick, etc.?
Things like nail polish / decals / etc. would be ok, but nothing that goes on skin. My skin is too sensitive.

How do you like to listen to music? CD, 8 track tape, mix tape, Pandora or Spotify, I-tunes?
I collect records! That's my favorite way, although given money and space constraints, I only buy things I really love in that format. Otherwise, I listen to mp3s using iTunes or Amazon Music (I have an Echo, so I either buy from Amazon or copy things I buy through iTunes to my Amazon account), or listen to Pandora.

Do you prefer reading on Kindle or actual book? What kind of books do you like? Would you like to be surprised with a scary, classic, horror book?
Usually I prefer Kindle books (although I can use any ebook format, and also have the Nook app, so no worries there if you hate Amazon, dear witch; I know some people do). I prefer any kind of book that I might be flipping back and forth in for reference in print (examples: any kind of reference book, cookbooks, etc.). I often by books by favorite authors in print too. In any case, my Amazon list has the preferred format, or should. If you're not sure, just ask! And yes, I would love to be surprised with a scary, classic horror book. I'm sure you can get a good idea of my tastes from my Goodreads.

Candles, Incense, or wax tarts? Do you have favorite brands or Weenies scents for the home? Would you like to receive a wax tarts burner, incense burner, essential oils diffuser, or Halloweenie themed candle holders?
In order of preference: candles, incense, wax tarts. I LOVE Sihaya & Co.'s candles; they're my favorites. I would love an essential oils diffuser (I don't have one) or Halloweenie candle holders. FYI, I also do loose incense, so in terms of accessories, I can always use charcoal tabs too.

Witchee: are you interested in crafting materials?
Sure. I can always use things like: small cloth bags in various colors (think the size of the velvet-y bags you sometimes get from the Lab)

I'm in Japan, is there anything specific from here you would want?
Cute things! Particularly cute cat things, or fox things. I love Totoro. Also any fun sheet masks or other Asian beauty goodies (particularly cute ones, lol). I'm also open to snacks.

How do you feel about nail wraps?
They're fun.

If you were to receive something hand knit, what type of item would you like? hat, cowl, handwarmers, etc. and what color(s)?
I would love a scarf or handwarmers. My usual favorite colors from the questionnaire are always a safe bet, but I'm also really into wine shades right now. Miss Twilight posted this pic on Instagram, and I am in love with that yarn. So pretty!

- would you use knitted washcloths? a scarf? Are you allergic or sensitive to any fibers?
I love scarves. I would be open to trying a knitted washcloth, if the yarn is very soft. I'm weirdly sensitive to acrylics, so natural fibers are best. For the washcloth in particular, probably something really gentle like cotton, because I'd mostly be using it when I wash my face.

If you could be ANY character from a film, TV show or book, who would it be and why?
Not any specific character, but I wish I was one of the Cait Sidhe (from Seanan McGuire's October Daye series). If you've read the series, the why is obvious, but if not: they're fae cats who can shapeshift into human form.

If you could hop into a time machine and travel anywhere/anytime, where would it be and why?
I'm not one of those people who thinks "I was born in the wrong era" or whatever. Things aren't perfect now, but they were even shittier for women in the past. The only thing I can think of is I might travel back a few decades to see a band I love and have never / will never get to see play live (Joy Division, for example), as long as I could hop right back here. I wouldn't mind skipping 45's entire presidency, either, except I'm too afraid I'd go forward and find he's nuked us all. Sigh. Moving right along.

If you could invite 3 famous people to a BPAL meet and sniff, who would invite?
I'd rather meet fellow BPAListas I only know online than meet a celebrity. Except maybe Seanan McGuire, because I happen to know she's a fan, so she'd probably enjoy a meet & sniff.

Do you like and/or want anything from Elements and Artifacts? You can be vague like "yes" or "no" or name specific past pieces you coveted or current ones you love, whatever works best.
Yes! I love Alicia's work. For stylistic reference, I added the ones I have to my Purchased Loves list on Etsy. The Triple Moon is my current favorite. I'm also crazy about the pumpkin earrings she does in the fall.

Would you like something hand sewn by your Witch? A dress, shirt, skirt, infinity scarf, something else?
A scarf would be great. Ooh, or a tarot cloth! I've been trying to find something I like.

Anyone want any kind of costuming accessories or makeup or odds and ends?
I don't think I need anything right now. I have a plan coming together.

Anyone like handmade critters, stuffed animals, or custom repaints?
Sure!

Would you enjoy any designer/specialty yarn for your own craftyness?
I'm still trying to learn to knit, so no. Save the fancy stuff for when I finally figure it out.

Would anyone like a donation made in their name to a cause or charity?
That would be super sweet. Favorites: Big Cat Rescue, Best Friends Animal Society, Planned Parenthood, Black Lives Matter, Southern Poverty Law Center, the Innocence Project.

Please provide wishes from the last two updates?
Should be on my wish list at ScentBase. I'm also getting decants from Fatherhood, so once I try them, I will add accordingly. And let's not forget that Weenies are not live yet (and I am dying to see them; it's my favorite update of the year).

Do you enjoy stationery? I'm thinking cute/quality notebooks, washi tape, stickers, fun pens etc.
Yes. I'm particularly fond of things like cute (but still styled / large enough to be useful) post-its and stickers. I love pens too, but I'm a little particular about them. My handwriting is basically illegible with larger-point pens, so I go for the really fine point ones (0.5 or less). It can be kind of hard to find good ones.

Are you interested in anything from Cocoa Pink? I wouldn't mind trying their Coco Mango Butter.

- Or Haus of Gloi? I am slightly obsessed with Pumpkin Butter. YMMV, but it's the best body butter I've used (and I have dry skin, so I've tried a lot). Ghost Puffs is one of my favorite scents! I just got a sample of Grimoire and really liked it too, and I'd love to try Pumpkin Cake Pops, Hex, Salted Caramel, and Candy Corn. Product-wise (aside from beloved pumpkin butter and of course perfume), I love whipped soap (when they're available) and I'd love to try their bathing dust, hair oil, or scrub.

Would you be interested in a Halloween wreath? Yes! I love having a nice door wreath.

Are you interested in anything from the Moonalisa Halloween update? Sure! Things that look especially nice: lip butters, shower gel, butter cream, bath soaks, candles... well, pretty much anything except the hair conditiner. I *really want* to try these indie conditioners and shampoos, but my hair is color treated (very color treated, as you will see if you check out my Instagram and such), and they never list whether their products are color safe or not, so I don't risk it. :/

What are your coffee and/or tea preferences?
Coffee: Whole beans, and I prefer medium-to-dark roasts. Some faves for reference: This is my local coffee hookup, and I am obsessed with Monsoon Malabar, Mysore Nuggets, and Espresso Milano. So roasts in that vein would be awesome.

Tea: Black, green, white, herbal, I like them all. I like Chai too. Here's the description of one of my faves, Black Cats & Pointy Hats by Dryad Tea: "All things autumn, mulled spices and apples. Delightful with honey and great to drink as crisp leaves fall from trees ready to sleep for the season." Gadgetry-wise, the only thing I can think of would be one of those tea travel mug type things.

How would you feel about receiving a hand-painted container for your bpal and/or other treasures? That would be so fabulous!

- would you want a big wood box (~50 bottles), a small wood box (~20 bottles) or a tin for carrying imps around? Probably the larger box would be best, lol.

Who is into K-Beauty (Korean beauty products like sheet masks) Me me me me me!

- What are your faves if you are? Ingredient-wise, I'm all about snail good & ferments. Some fave products: Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream & Snail Recovery Gel Cream; Manyo Factory Lactobacillus Bifida Mist (Pumpkin ferment! And you remember I said I love pumpkin butter? I am a firm believer in all things pumpkin, and they also have a pumpkin ferment serum I'd love to try); Acwell 5.5 Bubble Free pH Balancing Cleanser; Neogen BioPeel pads (I like the wine ones best); RE:P's Bio Fresh Mask with Calming Herb; and practically anything Klairs makes. I have sensitive skin that tends toward dryness, and Klairs, RE:P, and Neogen have been really good to me on that front. I love them. I love sheet masks too.

- Some stuff I would like to try: I'm hearing a lot about camellia oil, and would love to try one of those products. I'd also like to try more of the bath & body K-Beauty stuff.

What are some NEW things you've gotten interested in this year? Could be anything, from a new hobby, new genre of book, new healthy way of living, new fav brand of whatever...
~ WARNING: WITCHY STUFF AHEAD ~
Probably the most significant / important thing is that I'm studying the Sorcery of Hekate with Jason Miller. So, working to build a relationship with her and be initiated into her mysteries. I'm an eclectic solitary practitioner, and this is really the first formalized tradition I've worked in. It was an investment, and I waffled about it for ages before signing up at the last minute, but I'm really glad I did.

I also took Aeolian Heart's astrology course DISCOVERY, and again, that was awesome. I had taken her free HEARTBEAT email course previously, and learned a lot, but DISCOVERY gave me a much more in-depth knowledge of not only "how to read an astrological chart," but also how to work with astrological forces in witchery. I feel like I've totally leveled up.

~ NON-WITCHY STUFF ~
K-Beauty! I've always been into skincare, but this has really upped my game.

Yoga: this is not new, but several years ago my yoga teacher stopped teaching when she had a baby... and she never came back to teaching. I'd made friends among the small group of us who took her classes, and although I still see them occasionally, it definitely hasn't been the same. I was really, really upset, actually. I have social anxiety, and it's hard for me to make friends, so I took it pretty hard. And trying to find a new class, having to deal with being "the new person" again, felt kind of overwhelming. Anyway, I've really wanted to go back, and when I started working with a friend who's a life coach, she was super encouraging and helped me get over my bullshit and try out a new studio... which I love. I'm super happy to be practicing again, and I've made some new yoga friends there, and even have my husband coming in with me once a week.

What are your feelings about Scooby Doo? It was one of my favorite, if not the favorite, cartoons growing up. I love it.

How do you feel about indie makeup (read: loose eyeshadow, blush, highlighter)? Yay! I love it. I've been wanting to try Black Moon Cosmetics. I like Rituel de Fille, although I don't like how pricey they are. I also got a really great liquid lipstick from Notoriously Morbid in a Sihaya & Co. box and I love it. It's one of very few liquid lipsticks I've tried that I like, so I'd love to try more of their stuff.

I drink this stuff almost everyday would anyone else be interested in trying it out? www.criobru.com Sure! Sounds interesting.

Would you like one of the Halloween Teeturtle shirts? OMG yes! (Women's Ultra Slim L) Faves:
https://www.teeturtle.com/products/spooky-kitties?variant=44423679241
https://www.teeturtle.com/products/spellbound?variant=44569082633

https://www.teeturtle.com/products/dia-de-los-foxes?variant=44426482185

Would you be interested in things from Future Primitive?
Sure! I'd love to try the body whip, whipped soap, or body polish. Scents that look interesting: Pumpkin'ead, Pumpkin Eater, Dust Witch, Toffee Moon Face

Are there any UK things you'd like to get? Sure! Can't think of specific wishes off the top of my head, but chocolates and other snackies are always great, or anything cool from little indie producers (like Future Primitive above) that I might not be able to get here would be really cool.

Are you into podcasts? If so, what are your favorites? Would you like any merch related to any of them?
I'm way into podcasts. Faves: My Favorite Murder, The Black Tapes, Tanis, Welcome to Night Vale, King Falls AM, Small Town Horror, Last Podcast on the Left, Up and Vanished, Crime Town, Pagan Gumbo.

And my new favorite that I'm loving so so much: Steal the Stars. So well produced, such good acting. And it's a discrete story, not an ongoing series, that's more like an old-fashioned radio play (there's no "this is a podcast" element to the fiction; it's just audio drama).

And yes! I love podcast merch.

Would you like something from Nui Cobalt Designs? Or maybe some of Christina's lovely Halloween candles at Sihaya & Co.?
I have everything I need right now, I think... I'm obsessed with those candles, though. Obsessed.

ILNP? Who would love one of their awesome holos like MEGA or one of their amazing chromes?
Wow! I've never tried their polish before but it looks beautiful. Some colors that look tempting: Black Orchid, Undenied, Peace, Chleo, Moonstone, Deja Vu, Interstellar, Poetry, Lilac Bridges

Are there any hobbies or crafts you've been thinking of trying, but haven't had the chance yet?
None that I can think of.

Would you want to receive a custom spell kit or magical tea? If so, what purpose would you want it to be for?
That would be great! Something to help see / connect with spirits.

Do you like poetry? I love it.

Switch Witch '17: It's Happening

INTRO: Here's my Amazon wishlist: http://amzn.com/w/6D1ZI60Y3H6P Here's Modcloth (which hopefully I'll update soon... I know Modcloth's stuff is expensive and sells out quickly, but I thought it might be helpful to give you an idea of what I like) etsy is unfortunately another story. My etsy faves are not public, so I can just try listing some ~$30-&-under things I like there (etsy is having a sale as I type this, so it's possible the prices may be slightly higher by the time you look, sorry)... black spinel hoops, poppy seed earrings, triangle hoops, cat shoelace charms, red stone ring, cat ring, popcorn lip balm, grey holo polish, nocturn alley candle.

Oh, and I should mention... I actually enjoy answering the in-thread questions and copying/pasting them here, but I may ignore questions if a.] I've already written a detailed response about them in the initial questionnaire (which I think applies for things like coffee/tea preferences) or b.] they are about something I'm not interested in at all and have already indicated as such (so that would apply to questions about things like DVDs or nail wraps, which seem common). However, Dear Witch, please don't hesitate to ask for more information/clarification if you need it, I'll be happy to help.

Do you enjoy stationery? I'm thinking cute/quality notebooks, washi tape, stickers, fun pens etc.
Sure! Here's a place I order stationery from sometimes: Kawaii Gifts.

Are you interested in anything from Cocoa Pink?
- Or Haus of Gloi?
Cocoa Pink: Wow, too many scents! I guess I'd give the Whipped Dream or Voluptuous Body Butter a try. From a quick scan, Genevieve, Phantom Kiss, and Sensory Deprivation Tank sound like they could be promising scents.
Haus of Gloi: I have tried their soaps, lip balms, and pumpkin butter before and I like them all. But I think I'm good on everything other than soap, and the soaps always seem to be sold out now. Oh, the Cozy Sweater candle sounds nice though, so maybe that?

Would you be interested in a Halloween wreath?
I definitely would as long as it's not overly Nightmare-Before-Christmas like one of the pictured ones is.

Are you interested in anything from the Moonalisa Halloween update?
I'd try the "4in1" product... maybe the Full Moon scent would be good?

What are your coffee and/or tea preferences?
Skipping as answered thoroughly in original questionnaire!

How would you feel about receiving a hand-painted container for your bpal and/or other treasures?
- would you want a big wood box (~50 bottles), a small wood box (~20 bottles) or a tin for carrying imps around?
Big box or small box would work.

Who is into K-Beauty (Korean beauty products like sheet masks)
Not my thing.

What are some NEW things you've gotten interested in this year? Could be anything, from a new hobby, new genre of book, new healthy way of living, new fav brand of whatever...
Nothing comes to mind though I'm sure there's something... I can come back to this later in my blog I guess.

What are your feelings about Scooby Doo?
I guess it's sort of fun to make fun of, but even that seems overdone at this point, so I've probably already given enough info here.

How do you feel about indie makeup (read: loose eyeshadow, blush, highlighter)?
I don't wear blush or highlighter, and I feel like the way I usually receive loose eyeshadow is the opposite of user-friendly (it's usually in a tiny baggie and I don't really want to mess with that). If you have some loose eyeshadow you think I'd like and it's actually in a little pot or whatever, I wouldn't mind receiving it.

I drink this stuff almost everyday would anyone else be interested in trying it out? https://www.criobru.com/
Sure, that sounds very interesting.

Would you like one of the Halloween Teeturtle shirts?
I think I already mentioned liking the Dia De Los Foxes one and the women's relaxed fit. I guess size-wise XL would be safest... from the measurements it looks like an L would fit, but someone said they run small, so I guess I'd err on the side of caution.

New question: Sooo... have you seen this!? And what would you like?
Yes, I saw that on facebook awhile back. I'd try any jelly bomb or bubble bar listed.

Would you be interested in things from Future Primitive?
Their soaps all sound quite nice, so sure, I wouldn't mind trying them.

Are there any UK things you'd like to get?
My husband mentioned a travel guide to Wales? Whenever I get this question, the only thing I think of is Crunchie.

New question: Are you into podcasts? If so, what are your favorites? Would you like any merch related to any of them?
No, I still don't really know what they are even though people have tried to explain them to me at least twice. So they must not be for me.

New question: Would you like something from Nui Cobalt Designs? Or maybe some of Christina's lovely Halloween candles at Sihaya & Co.?
Nui Cobalt: Justice, Liberty, and Health candles sound nice.
Sihaya: Scrying Stone and Sisterhood of the Moon candles sound nice.

ILNP? Who would love one of their awesome holos like Mega, or beautiful chromes??
They all look really lovely. Ava is catching my eye today, but really any of them!

* I am not really a hobbies, crafts, or socks person, but I think all of that is covered in my initial questionnaire.

Would you want to receive a custom spell kit or magical tea? If so, for what purpose would you want it to be made?
I need people to talk to and I need my job to become reasonable (as in, there's too much work to go around right now and not enough guidelines), could you help with either of those?

Do you like poetry?
I may be over-thinking this question but I'm having trouble figuring out what it's getting at, as most people like some sort of poetry, be it rap lyrics, Robert Frost, or Rimbaud. I do like some poetry but I can't think of any poetry-related items that I would like to obtain right now.

Anyone like handmade critters, stuffed animals, or custom repaints?
The first 2 things sound okay, maybe not the last one.

Would anyone like a donation made in their name to a cause or charity?
Last year I mentioned the Lilith Fund and my Witch made a donation there, still a worthy cause for sure.

Please provide wishes from the last two updates? Some of us, some where, somehow can obtain those desired scents!
Hmm... which last 2 updates? From the BPAL Liliths I wouldn't mind decants or 1/2 decants of Storyboard: Julius Caesar and Vampire Princess since I was curious about them but didn't get them, but I wasn't really interested in anything from the BPTP "Dog Days" one. Hoping for BPTP Liliths soon!

Question! I'm in Japan, is there anything specific from here you would want?
I'm one of the many fans of green tea kitkats. I also really like Meltykiss Chocolate... I've tried some of the unusual flavors before like Milk Tea and liked them. I've already mentioned liking Japanese stickers and stationery and such. And... I do like My Melody and Chococat Sanrio-wise, and these kitties San-X-wise.

I live in too warm of a climate for most knitted items... about the only thing I can think of that I'd actually get use of would be something like a cup cozy or whatever (like, a thing that goes on a hot mug or travelcup so that it's easier to hold... I bought a past swap partner a cute one from etsy before), and I'd be pretty open about color/style for that sort of thing... I mean, not neon colors I guess, but whatever else should be fine.

Elements & Artifacts: silver squirrel earrings apparition necklace

Here's a great local soapmaker I love--y'all see anything you would like? https://littleseedfarm.com/
The deodorant cream sounds interesting -- I'd try any of the scents. The liquid soap sounds nice in anything but the patchouli scent. For bar soaps, the "Bearwalker Beer Bar" sounds great, as does the Cocoa Spice.

What are your favorite/preferred Halloween/autumn icons/images? Any to specifically stay away from?
Though I no longer actually like to eat candy corn, I like it as a decor theme. I also like the usual cats/owls/skulls/bats/spiders (rough order of preference), especially if glittery. Also, someone mentioned the recent prevalence of eyeballs in Halloween decor. I'm all for that -- I have eyeball socks (which I actually wear even though I wear socks less than 10x/year) and eyeball washi tape already, other items would be welcome. I haven't really seen Halloween wolves yet (they were also mentioned earlier), but I do like wolves, foxes and such, so those would be welcome too. I'm not really into gory/grotesque things though, and I abhor zombies!

Do you eat candy, and if so would Halloween candy be welcome?
I know I talked about candy a lot in my original questionnaire, so I'm just answering the Halloween part of this. Halloween candy that is in line with preferences stated previously is fine. I do also like the special orange kitkats that come out for Halloween and the thing that's kind of like Hershey's cookies&cream but with little orange bits or whatever (to be clear, in this sentence I'm talking about orange color and not orange flavor, but I do like orange-flavored chocolate anyway so if some shows up that'd be fine too).

Do you want Fidget spinners, desk toys, or other frivolous things that you look at and decide you don't need enough to spend $ on but would make you happy to have?
Maybe if you find something you think I'd really like. I technically have at least 2 offices (though they're sort of shared), and neither of them have huge amounts of knickknacks.

Any zentangle lovers, people who would like to try it, or would you want a piece of someone else's zentangle art?
It sounds neat but I probably wouldn't try it because I am very busy and therefore very lazy on the odd occasion that I'm not busy. Wouldn't mind a piece of someone else's art if you think I'd like it.

Any love of hair toys, clips, ribbons, fascinators, mini hats, etc?
I wish I still wore stuff in my hair but I just don't. I have a drawerful of cool barrettes and such and maybe wear one once or twice a year.

What local goodies may be of interest? Local Honey, jams, candy?
All of this sounds great. I especially love honey and have never received any in a swap.

Are you interested in any subscription services like serial magazines, Birch box, ipsy?
I know there are some for Japanese snacks, I'd be interested in those.

Would you like funky Halloweenie costume makeup like Gothic eyelashes, nail effects, black lipstick, etc.?
Probably not but I'm always up for wacky shades of nail polish (just not like the sand-textured or crackle stuff or whatever).

Candles, Incense, or wax tarts?
Candles or incense (stick not cone for incense), not wax tarts.

Petz:
I got a kitten this summer and he would love just about anything (he has all manner of toys, but currently his favorite is a small bouncy ball... he's also just starting to appreciate catnip since that takes awhile). My dog, on the other hand, mostly likes stuffed squeaky toys. If you are planning to send edible treats (which are the only thing my other cat, who is somewhat elderly, might enjoy), please only send a small amount since I'm not sure how the animals will like them and we don't give out treats super-often.

Post Liliths:
Just pre-ordered decants of My Little Themysciran Princess and Spinning on Graves. Others I'd be interested in trying are Wednesday's Child... and Zip Line.

Trader Joe's:
There are a few of these stores within 30 minutes to an hour of my house, but I don't really consider that to be very close I guess. Just went to one a week or so ago (before that it had been several years) and it turns out that I really love this Peruvian Corn stuff. The question specifically asked about pumpkin stuff though and pumpkin really isn't my thing to be honest. But if you see something else at Trader Joe's you think I might like, go for it!

Is there anything you want from the trading post (or trading post etsy) that is available to order right now?
Sure! I use the bath oils as a sort of bodywash-enhancement, so I go through them fairly quickly these days. From the BPTP etsy I wouldn't mind trying the Bloodbath one, and on the main BPTP site bath-oils-wise I would mind the Morocco, Hedonism, Intensity, Invidia, Luxuria, Patientia, or some more Snake Oil (I do have a little bit of Snake Oil bath oil, but I'm running really low). Would also take an XXL v-neck of the Irretrievable Time shirt.

Who would love some USPS eclipse stamps?
me!

Do you like to cook and/or bake? Could you use any specific ingredients (spices, oils, salts, extracts, etc.) or kitchen utensils/gadgets?
Yes indeed, I could use all kinds of weird stuff. Ingredients-wise: ground flaxseed, nutritional yeast (powder form), hemp seeds (ones that would be legal in Texas, to be clear! ), gochujang, harissa, ras al hanout, za'atar, um... are you sorry you asked? Gadgets... maybe a mandoline? I'll edit this in my blog if I think of more.

I'm at Ocean City MD for bike week......would a witches want anything from here? Bike or beach related??
We have an old Holden Beach souvenir that we need to replace, I asked my husband to look up what it's called and it's called something like a "souvenir waterglobe pyramid pencilholder" or a "cone floating paperweight pencilholder." So if you find one of those, that would be great!

Would you like some Halloween or other themed decor in the form of a banner, something like this http://www.etsy.com/...n-decor-vintage? If so, would you prefer a traditional style or a vertical door type?
I don't really like the one linked to, but the Trick or Treat one from the same etsy shop is okay. I think traditional would be better than vertical-door.

If there are specific fragrance oils or products my Witchee would like from any of the OCYL Fall updates, it would be good to add those to their blog, ketchup, or signature.
This is a really broad question since there are so many companies, so I think I can only really give general guidance (I mean, there have already been specific questions about a few companies [such as Lush] and I tried my best for those, but I don't really think I can do it for every company). So... in general, I'd like to mention that I don't really wear OCYL perfume oils, or at least not more than once or twice a year. So if there is one decant from another company you think I'd really like, go ahead and include it, but I probably wouldn't use up a bottle from another company or try many decants. Otherwise... I think this question mentioned Yankee Candle which I don't really think of as an indie brand, but... I do like some of their gourmand type scents like Vanilla Cupcake and Peppermint Bark and such, so I wouldn't mind something in that vein I suppose.

This has also sort of been mentioned but what are your favorite homemade treats?
For shippable things, cookies/brownies are good bets, I guess.

Favorite gemstones?
Garnet, moonstone, labradorite, lapis, opal... and my birthstone is ruby but since it's literally the most expensive thing there is, I don't expect you to get me rubies.

Are you a Potterhead? If so, to which house do you belong?
Mildly. And I'm an almost completely even split between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, I'm afraid. I alternate between the 2 pretty evenly when I take the usual quizzes, and on the "more scientific" recent quiz I took that took into account personality research, I was... 39.7% Ravenclaw, 39% Hufflepuff, 19.8% Gryffindor, 1.6% Slytherin.

How do you feel about chokers?
I don't really wear the ones I own so they probably aren't a good bet.

I'm in France at the moment, is there anything here you might like? I'm in Provence, the land of lavender, so if you like flower in particular just say so!
I'd especially like culinary lavender (like, to use in baking and such), but whatever is good, really.

If you enjoy jewelry do you like discrete and elegant, flashy and gaudy, small and light, or large and chunky?
Um, it depends on what mood I'm in!

Would my Witchee be interested in a Tarot or Astrology reading done personally?
Sure. I don't do divination myself (not since I was a teenager, anyway), but I still appreciate it. And I've been wanting to get my chart done for years so that'd be especially great. I know all of the specific time and place and such stuff about my birth so can provide that if needed.

Does my Witchee need any magical supplies?
I don't think so but I can try to think of if there are any TAL oils or the like, and update in my blog if so.

Would you be interested in any of the seasonal (or regular) soaps from Cellar Door (https://cellardoorbathsupply.com)?
Aw yeah! I even mentioned them in my initial questionnaire. I'm especially interested in Almond Vanilla, Acadian Driftwood, Good Vibrations, Lavender, Lavender Pumpkin, Merry Manhattans, Midnight Mocha, Once Bitten, Orange Clove, Pumpkin Chai Latte, Tobacco+Oakmoss, and Sandalwood+Amber.

Partial BPAL bottles are fine.

Are you interested in anything from Think Geek?
Hmm... this is an interesting one. A past Witch got me a giftcard or whatever from them and their policy was really weird and caused me to be overdrawn for awhile (my purchase went very slightly over the giftcard amount but their policy, at least last year, was to freeze $50 from the bank account no matter the actual amount of the charge, which wasn't cool when I needed to get a couple of things at the grocery store right before payday and had had only about $20 in my account, not over $50). So I might enjoy actual items from there, but please no giftcards as I'm not messing with that again. So anyway, here are some fairly-reasonably-priced things you could purchase/procure for me if you'd like: Pikachu apron Mixology Cocktail Shaker Jiji coin purse Highball glass

If you could decorate your house (or one room) in any one theme, what would it be?
Going to take the easy way out here and say mid-century modern

aprons:
Yep, I wear an apron sometimes, and I'm trying to do so more often when I'm cooking or baking. The one I have is fine but nowhere near new. I guess I like more feminine ones that are still functional for cooking/baking (i.e., no problem with ruffles or cutesy prints or etc, but the material shouldn't be especially flammable or extremely flimsy or whatever).

Do you like Broadway shows/music? If so what are some of your favorites and/or ones that you hope to see or listen to eventually? Would you like merch from your favorite shows or CDs from shows you want to listen to?
Can't think of any though I don't think I dislike the entire genre.

I'm heading to NYCC in October! Is there anything I can get my Witchee while I'm there?
Ironically, BPAL's Broadway scent sounds really nice. Of course I dunno if I'd like it enough for a bottle, but I'd love a decant. I know they were on offer at Crown and Tulip.

I just realized - I'm going to Edmonton Expo this weekend (It's Edmonton's version of comic con). Would a witchee like anything from there?
I... don't know what they have at those, I've been ignoring the fandom questions because I'm not really "fannish." But if you see something you think I'd like, sure!

- Anything catch your eye from this site (globalgirlfriend.com)?
Wow, apparently yes! Will probably go back to this site for Christmas-wish purposes! raindrops top huipil sling bag (in multi) envelope clutch beaded coin purse (not teal) loop beaded earrings (in grey) teardrop earrings (in Zambezi) swallow and stone earrings sky collection earrings (any color) rococo earrings peridot earrings beaded bracelet (in arrow) daybreak earrings citrine square earrings blue crush earrings sacred mark soap (lavender coconut or chai masala) trunk scrub soap (cocomango) drinking chocolate nepali woven dish towel (blue) waxcloth apron bees dish towel dot dish towel

- Do you have any favorite, lesser-known stores? Especially ones that sell hand-crafted or independently made items.
I usually plug Devonshire Organics at some point during Switch Witch, so I guess this can be that time. I have been buying stick incense from them for at least 15 years and feel like nothing else compares (apparently the Vatican agrees since their incense is used there). My favorite is the general incense wand sampler, but I also order the "woodsy" or "cathedral" ones sometimes for winter.

Imagine you're going to the most gigantic art & craft show imaginable, and money is no object - what kind of things would you gravitate towards and probably spend money on? Include as specific as you want to get!
Well, when I go to art/craft shows or Renaissance festivals with my normal limited budget, I always end up buying earrings and bar soap, so that's a first thought. I also gravitate toward stick incense. Pricier things that catch my eye at times but that I don't buy would include the fancy wooden boxes or cutting boards (usually with different colors/patterns of wood), and the fancy coffee cups at pottery places... but I'd still want the coffee cup(s) to be regular shape and not with weird dents or globs of fake crystals or dragons or whatever as I keep seeing those on etsy and wondering how somebody would actually drink out of them.

See's Candy. They have special Halloween candy..any of these pique your interest?? Cinnamon Apple Scotch Mallows, Pumpkin spice truffles, pumpkinspice lollypops, caramel apple lollypops, or any other of their chocolates, etc?
I checked out the "Fall Gifts & Treats" on the site, and the Sweet Harvest Box, Brittle & Crunch, Orange Krispys, Orange & Chocolate Wafers, and Autumn Delights sound amazing.

And... after we get Witchees I'm probably going to start a second entry because this is already so long!

Witch! Nice to see you! Like I said earlier, I will probably start a second blog entry for any new questions.

Scents I can't live without

I'm writing these down as my shopping cart keeps being bumped back to empty. Then I forgot what I can't live without.

Must buy as soon as possible:
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Bat... this has been re-stocked!
Leanan Sidhe: Clean, unique, summer provoking. Good signature summer scent.
Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo: Need it fresh and slather! Lab fresh is the only way to go. Aged doesn't work here.
Schroedinger's Cat: Hooray back in stock. Lemony bright. needs re-applying. may need a few bottles

Got it! Knave of hearts: floral bakery..like Posset's Indy 499, which was a peony pie.
Got it! Elegba: Coconut. Short lived. light scent, but a rich coconut. stays close

Delirium...am I spelling this wrong or it DC?

Side by side testing
Chapter One: Chocolate
#1. Muddy Puddles vs. Chad: revealed that Muddy Puddles does have a bit of a "dirt" scent in it. Chad is the chocolateyist!
#2. Chad vs. Choco Musk from Rehab: The El Rehab brought out the milk note in Chad. The Chad's chocolate was negated. The winner was the Rehab.
#3 Choco Musk Rehab vs. Hot Chocolate by Back to Earth: The showdown of the dissimilar. CM is total chemical HC by Back to Earth is total natural. and the winner is...choco musk by El Rehab (it's a cheapy) because the natural Hot chocolate doesn't smell like chocolate next to the cheap fake stuff.... it smells like spices. Sigh...I'd had rather hoped for the natural fragrance to win me over.

#4 Choco muck by El Rehab and....wait for it......Mother of all Souls by Arcana.

bpals (and other retailers)

A

Aizen-Myoo: Yuzu, kaki, and mikan with cherry blossom and black tea.
-- bright citrus fading to a soft floral. Nice.   Alice:  I think this one reminds me of plastic baby doll smell.

B

Blue Unicorn Moon: Vanilla blueberry bubblegum
-- I swear I smell honey. This is long lasting and sweet but with that O-type honey. Not sure if I like it or not.   C   Croquet: -- NO!!

D

Dainty Sulphur:
Orange blossom and brimstone
--hotel soap, very heady

E

The Emperor's Rams:
dragon’s blood resin, red peppercorn, red poppy, red musk, and red amber

-- I find this to be a very masculine scent. It's nice but I don't think I want to wear it.

Delirium: Non compos mentis, indeed! A contrary, conflicted scent, bubbling with merry madness. Contains apple, rose, and lemon
-- powdery rose, reminds me of an old apartment with faded wallpaper and tons of photographs on a table. Do not like.

G

Gladdener of All Hearts: Honeyed milk, baby powder, lavender, orris root, sage, carnation, angelica, frankincense, and rose otto
-- Spicy-ish. I get carnation and a little lavender. It's not a knockout but a solid OK.

H

Hearts for Ghost Friends: Friendship beyond death. The scent of ghostly companionship, and imaginary friends that might not be quite so imaginary: oleander and frankincense with white rose, soft carnation, spectral white musk, and velvety magnolia.
--It would be great if I got the white florals everyone else mentions. Alas, I do not. This is another nope. Helena: It's OK.  It's a rose-y soap.
L

L'Autunno: Hawthorn, fig, myrrh, carnation, toasted almond, red and green apple, patchouli, wood smoke, and Indian musk.
--spicy! Carnation with apple in the background. Definitely a winter fragrance.

Lucy's Kiss: Created to represent the essence of Bram Stoker's tragic heroine, Lucy Westenra. Seductive, wanton and deadly, but underscored with a soft, wistful innocense. The gentle scent of rose and a blend of Victorian spices.
-- I think I like a sweeter rose than this. Do not like.

M

Moon of Ice: Frost-crusted winter flowers, white pine, eucalyptus, and traditional lunar oils.
-- I love this. It's all pine and snow.

N

Nyarlathotep: Brooding, yet electric: the scent of buried secrets, roiling nightmares, the essence of the Crawling Chaos, the Father of Knives and Locusts, the Hunter in the Dark. This is the blackest of ritual incenses charged with flashes of ozone
-- Nope. Smells like smoky vetiver.
P

Purple Phoenix: Porphyrogenitus, indeed; we worked for it! Not simply the color of royalty, purple is also the color of sorrow and mourning, reconciliation and forgiveness. A regal, majestic, and somber blend of myrrh, plum blossom, African violet, cognac, fig, orris, lilac, wisteria, black plum, and Burgundy wine grapes
-- AWESOME. Grapes and plums. Seriously purple.

Q

Queen Gertrude: Imperial violet softened by wisteria and chrysanthemum, but edged with the regal iciness of delphinium.
-- Not terrible but not great. Floral-ish but reminds me of air freshener or dryer sheets or something similar. I think I smell wisteria but it is making me want to sneeze so I am not really sure. This is not how I want to smell.

R

Rakshasa: This haunting, exotic scent is named in honor of the shapeshifting demons from Hindu mythology. Sandalwood with rose and patchouli.
--super herbal and not good at all. Do not like.

Rose Red 2010: The perfected winter rose, dew covered and freshly cut. Like walking into a florist's shop- fresh cut rose and greenery. LOVE.

S

Sam (American Gods): Nag champa incense, patchouli, and freshly-soaped skin. Unobtrusive. This is soap on me. No incense or patchouli. Dial or another generic deodorant soap is all I get. Meh.

V

Virgo 2007: Fennel, valerian, maidenhair fern, carrot seed, honeysuckle, and myrtle
-- it's something I like. I can't identify anything in it but it is pleasant. Think I'll keep it.

W

We Cared About Such Different Things (American Gods): You would not know who was light, who was dark: iron and amber, gold-limned white musk and ink-gloomed dark musk.
-- warm and incense-y. The musks are really pretty.

HAIR GLOSSES

Red Incense Gloss: Red sandalwood, myrrh, cinnamon husk, and copal bound with blood, currants, and red wine.
-- it smells so lovely- just like incense. Unfortunately, something in it goes loud and strident after a few hours. It turns shrill and reminds me of bug spray. Is it the sandalwood? Myrrh? No idea. I just know that I can't possibly subject myself or others to brassy bug spray. YUCK.

HAUS OF GLOI

- Bunny:
Pink bubble gum, pink roses, and pink carnation. This is Bazooka Bubble gum with a jolt of spicy carnation. It is an odd but wonderful combination and I love it. It's a very happy scent. It settles into a sweet rose and bubblegum scent. I will wear this when I need a bit of happiness.

- Lavender Ice Cream is sheer heaven. Gorgeous lavender sweetened just a bit by vanilla. I freaking love this so much I just might buy another bottle.

-First Blush: Tahitian vanilla bean, white tea, lavender and peach. Going on, this is gorgeous. It is a perfect, ripe, juicy peach. Unfortunately, it vanishes within minutes and I am left with a distant memory. Oh well.

-Blood Orange and Marshmallows: I smell like a dreamsicle. Fo' yeah.

-
SUMMER DRESS Clean cotton, lily of the valley, peach nectar, and Chinese peony blossom. Fresh clean scent. I smell like peaches. Yum.

-Vanilla Tranquility:
A bowl of buttery sweet rice porridge with brown sugar and vanilla, with a cup of earl gray
I smell like someone dumped butter over my head and then followed up with a dusting of brown sugar. YUCK.

POSSETS
-Magnificent Red Rose: I do love me some roses.
-Silver Carnations: Another OMG gorgeous. I absolutely love this.

Sixteen92
-Gothic Lolita: this is very nice. I can't identify a single thing in it but it's nice. Kind of incense-y, which is not what I would think a Gothic Lolita would smell like. Still nice.
-Garden Party: Another very nice but no clue as to what's in it. It sort of smells like the old wax lips I used to get as a kid. Kind of vanilla-ish.
-You Who Swallowed a Falling Star: Starts out nice but shortly turns into a loud and brassy perfume-y scent. It is so strong it makes me mildly nauseous. I might try it again in miniscule quantity but not for a long while.

SOLSTICE SCENTS
-Violet Truffle: Dark Chocolate, Violet, Violet Leaf & Vanilla Absolute This is Serious chocolate that morphs into serious violet/vanilla. Spent most of the day with my nose in my shirt. I might have looked like an idiot but I smell marvelous.
-Winter Dove: Vanilla Crystals, Spicy Carnation, Nutmeg, Cream. Spicy and warm and gorgeous. LOVE.
-Chiffon: Vanilla, White Amber, White Musk & Lemon Myrtle EO. One of the prettiest lemon/vanilla scents I have worn. LOVE.

NOCTURNE ALCHEMY -Amber Velvet: OK -Black Zinfandel: Black Amber, Black Frankincense, Black Patchouli and White Zinfandel grape wine accord. I loved it for several hours. It was grape-y and amber-y. But then it turned to bug spray. WTF? Is it the wine accord?? Is that what turned the Red Incense hair gloss too?
-Plesiosaurus: Resinous Amber Accord, Limestone Amber, Bastet's Ice Cream accord which is a blend of many different vanilla beans and vanilla fleck sifted through the amber oil leaving a vanilla essence Nessie would love. *tiny bits of resin may occur in the Dino blends, these will only enrich the blend even more with aging! Very sweet, almost too sweet for me. Rich vanilla spiked with amber that fights its way to the surface before being pushed back under the vanilla sea. Not sure if I like it or not. -Raspberry Crystalline Cheesecake-  OK.  -Santalum and Cardamom (holiday resurgence): Santalum, Santalum White, Australian Sandalwood, Cardamom EO and sifted in light skin musk and white amber.  This is one of the prettiest fragrances I have ever smelled.  LOVE

-Vanilla and Apple Spice: Yum. That is all.

POESIE
-Shield Maiden: pink rose, peony, sharpened metal, crisp air, deep pine woods and frozen earth. It starts out pine, snow and roses and settles down to a powdery but sweet rose. Others might say it's an 'old lady' rose, but I AM an old lady.
-All MIrth, No Matter: apricot blossom, white chocolate, butterscotch, honeysuckle, magnolia, amber, and a fillip of juicy blood orange. Too much butterscotch for me. Nope. -Obedient Element: serious candle wax, paper and tobacco.  Supposed to have dragon's blood too but it separated so I did not get any.   Atchison:  LOVE.

Luckyscent-

Lilac Love- Amouage- lovely in small doses. VERY small doses. It makes me sneeze otherwise. Potential bug spray quality after drydown. Definitely wants to be the showstopper. Use with caution. (GAVE AWAY)
Sunshine Woman- Amouage- Tobacco note is too prominent. It's all I smell and I do not want to smell like a cigarette.
Lumiere Noire Pour Femme- Maison Francis Kurjdian- another winner. Soft and pretty.
This is Not a Blue Bottle- Histoires de Parfums- I like it but I can really smell the alcohol base. This must be used in extremely small doses. (had to send to Goodwill- too strong)
April Aromatics- Jasmina- smells like bandages. Do not like.
OdeJo (eau de toilette)- unobtrusive and pretty. smells clean. (BIG BOTTLE- JUNE 18) Mancera_ Roses Greedy:  Too strong on the alcohol base.  Definite no.
Monyette Paris- Monyette Paris- Holy Shith does this smell awesome! Gardenia for days. I LOVE this. (BIG BOTTLE- JULY 18)
Aventus for Her- Creed- What is it with the alcohol smell of some perfumes? I would love this were it not for the rubbing alcohol stench that smacks me in the nose whenever I try to take a sniff. I think not, especially knowing how freaking expensive this stuff is.
Sublime Vanille- Creed- Damn, this is nice.
White Sandalwood- Goldfield & Banks- gorgeous dry sandalwood (BIG BOTTLE)
Pacific Rock Moss- Goldfield & Banks- lovely
Goldfield & Banks- Blue Cypress- gorgeous (BIG BOTTLE)
House of Oud- Golden Powder- Nutmeg, cinnamon, sandalwood, guaiac wood, cedar, papyrus, musk, labdanum, vanilla, coumarin, tobacco blossom-
lovely but too strong and confident for my taste                         -The Time- Bergamot, wormwood, chamomile, oolong tea, iris, lemon verbena, cedar, musk, amber, black tea.  Nice nice nice!   Montale- Aqua Gold- masculine.  Not for me.                  Black Aoud- nice, unobtrusive but a bit on the masculine side.                  Intense Black Aoud-  Again, too masculine.  Very woody.  Ok but not for me. Serendipity 3-  Serendipitous.  Cocoa, Tahitian Vanilla, Blood Orange.  Dear Bob.  This smells like cotton candy.  Sweet almost to the point of yakking... but not quite.  I will have to be cautious when wearing this one.  Spritz, not slather.   Serge Lutens-  L'Orpheline- masculine.  Big nope.   Sucreabeille- Pele-  WAAAY too sweet for me.  Reminds me of someone who has vomited Hurricanes or other fruity alcoholic drinks.

New Tumblr Perfume blog

I just wanted to let anyone who ever sees this to know and have access to my perfume reviewing blog on Tumblr: Listen, you smell something? (if you get the reference, ten points to you!) I began by writing about how smells influenced some of my childhood and how they inspire me today. I then stared reviewing in depth some of my Bpal collection which has grown very rapidly over the passed year. I am currently branching out and writing about other scents i come across and post about three times a month right now. Life is busy, I'm not putting too much pressure on myself and quality over quantity. If you would like to check it out here it is: https://smellallthesmells.tumblr.com/   Please feel free to request, critique, ask questions, and comment. I just wanna talk about smells.

Spring cleaning swap 2017

Wishlists
In my signature   Makeup and skin care, any particular likes or dislikes?
No make up (I like make up, but simply own too much of it), facial cream (picky skin) or hand cream. Oh and no hair products, picky scalp as well. Everything else is welcome!   Any arts and crafts supplies you need?
No, not in need of anything. Unless you have something you think I'd like   What kind of staple items could you use?
Nothing I could think of right now.   Comic books? Any in particular?
No, sorry.   Would donate to a thrift store:
Yes, better than throwing things away.   Cats or dogs? Other?
Both. At home we only have cats and birds, but I love all animals.   Musical interests or preferences? Do you play any instruments?
I'm a big fan of Take That and Mark Owen as a solo artist. That's kind of a guilty pleasure Besides that, I like a lot of different styles, like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Lucy Spraggan, Nightwish (old days with Tarja), Marillion, John Denver, Concrete Blonde, Siouxie and the Banshees.   I'm not playing any instruments. My boyfriend sings and plays guitar, both accoustic and electric.   What's your favorite foreign country or language, that you might like to receive items related to?
I like asian countries, I feel very comfortable there. I also like Scandinavia and Norway in particular. I almost moved there in the past.
Costa Rica was my favourite holiday ever, because of all the animals.
I always love getting items related to any foreign country.   New Question: I'm a bit of a clotheshorse, and have a huge closet full of retro and vintage dresses and skirts, etc (think ModCloth, Sourpuss Clothing, Trollied Dolly, Unique Vintage, pinup and rockabilly-esque stuff). I wear a size medium or large depending on the cut (size 8-12 US sizes, depending on cut). Would you want any clothing from me?   Sounds great, but I'm afraid it wouldn't fit. I'm a size 12-14. If you have a size 12 that runs big, it's worth a try.   Is there anything that although you might like, you simply have too many of?
Make up
Candles or tarts
Showergel and perfume (but still like getting this hahahaha)
Mugs (but if you have something really nice I'd still love getting mugs )   Gently used items?
yes, that's fine to me, as long as there are no hygienic issues.   If I have something I think you would like, but would need to be altered, would you want it?
If it's altering I can easily do myself: yes. But if it needs to be taken to a tailor or something, that will probably never happen.   I had all the ingredients for a cookie jar/ bathsalts/ necklace, but they were separated, is it okay to assemble them, or no?
yes, I think it would be nice to get something like that.   How do you feel about hair accessories, including adornments like large flowers?
No, sorry. Right now my hair's too short for accessories but also when it's longer (I'm trying to let my hair grow), I don't like wearing hair accessories. I think that's because of the glasses I wear. I think adding hair accessories is simply too much.   Are there any kinds of patterns or pattern books you'd enjoy receiving? (e.g., Victorian/steampunk, RenFaire, or other costume sewing patterns; knit hat or scarf patterns; crochet animal/toy patterns; Swedish weaving patterns...)
Crochet animal/toys would be nice!   Cookbooks: Yea? Nay? Only certain types/sizes?
Nope. Whenever I get one or buy one myself, it ends up in a drawer forever.   Having individual items in my box gift-wrapped would be:
I think wrapping is fun! But not required. Whatever my broom decides!   New question!
Could you describe the style of your home/living room? A picture would be nice but you can also just describe the style and colors (or colors you dislike).   My own answer: pictures are on my Pinterest moodboard.
Edited by Nemi25, 14 April 2017 - 10:43 PM.
Would you use any lip color and if so, what are your preferences for color, texture, etc? How about eyeliner?
No, I use this very rarely and I have enough lip colors for the rare moments I want to wear it.   Bath and Bodyworks liquid hand soap: Yes please!   Bath and Bodyworks Wall Flower bulbs: No, wouldn't use it.   If you are a knitter, what is your favorite weight and fiber content of yarn? (fingering/sport/dk/worsted/aran? merino/mcn/acrylic/merino silk/bamboo/cotton?) favorite colors of yarn? Please don't send any yarn. I have too much of that.   Let's say your favorite foods/drinks was something that is hard to ship. Do you have other favorite foods that could be included in a swap?
- chocolate? I have a bunch of World Market sea salt bars (milk chocolate and blood orange, dark chocolate and dried strawberries), 64% cacao black forest cherry pie, bacon & chocolate, caramel & sea salt, PB&J, milk chocolate with honey salt almonds, ghiradelli squares (assortment), pumpkin pie almonds, etc.)
I love chocolate! But please don't send chocolate combined with fruits (white choc with fruits is ok though!), alcoholics or bacon/meat. All the other options are nice!   - protein/snack bars?
Yes   - tanka bars (buffalo/turkey/cranberry)? No thanks, I'm a vegetarian   What colors of nail polish do you wear, if any?
I don't wear nailpolish anymore since it started to destroy my nails   Are you interested in local honey or homemade jam (peach, cherry, strawberry rhubarb)?
Yes, sounds good!   I have a lot of fabric to make project / cosmetic bags (and some already made), are you interested in one?
Sounds awesone!   - Would you prefer a project bag or a cosmetic bag?
Cosmetic bag.   - What kind of fabric or themes do you like?
Little Pony, dogs, (sugar)skulls, owls, sheep.   - I also have a bunch of flannel with dollar bills for making some money mojo bags and some already sewn up green flannel mojo bags (empty), would you like one?
No thanks.   Do you use k-cups? No thank you.   Most wanted to try BPAL, Arcana, NAVA, etc.?
My BPAL wishlist is in my sig. I don't know much about NAVA or Arcana, but I'd love to try something that meets my favorite notes.   Pipettes? I buy in bulk so I have a ton of them for decanting. No thanks, I have plenty.   I have a few pairs of fingerless mitts knit up (purple or grey), do you wear such things?
Yes!   I also have a small shawlette/neckerchief that I knit (but have never worn) in glittery grey yarn with little bits of purple mixed in. No lace or floofiness so doesn't need to be blocked ever. Yay/nay?
That's a nay, sorry. I hate knitted things around my neck.   K-cups?
No, we don't have such a machine.

Complete List of BPAL Favorites

In case you want a really in-depth look at what I like and don't, here's everything that I've tried and would buy a full bottle of, basically. The only real distinction between "love" and "like a lot" has more to do with how much I see myself wearing them than actual like/dislike (although of course my favorite notes will more often be a "love").

The Toxic Lake

One of Florida’s big concerns is Lake Okeechobee, the lake that should be sending water to the drying Everglades. Instead, it’s held poorly in place by dikes and canals, all of which need constant maintenance by the US Corp of Engineers and other groups. But now the lake has become very polluted by farms and development around Orlando. The polluted water that leaves the lake under controlled outflow has damaged the waters of the Treasure Coast and its tourist industry. And, BigAg, in the form of BigSugar, plays a role in this story with no easy fix.

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS 2016

WINTER WONDERINGS
Do you celebrate Christmas? Another winter holiday?: Christmas
Do you decorate? Would you like to receive decorative items?: I work retail so I never really get to decorate - I'm too busy
What are your favorite things about winter/Christmas?: I love carols and dinners with loved ones and christmas lights and trees and snow and eggnog and wrapping presents and warm blankets and cuddling in front of the fire with my furbrats and other half.
What is your favorite Christmas/winter holiday memory?:
When I was a kid we had an old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere. We would decorate the crap out of that house, and there was a real fireplace we hung our stockings on. We always got a ton of snow and the 2 years we were there, Christmas morning was magical.   ALL ABOUT YOU
Allergies and dietary/lifestyle restrictions (if applicable): no allergies to food.
Favorite color(s): black, blood red, emerald green, amethyst purple, deep wine, chocolate brown.
Least favorite color(s): white, pink, yellow
Favorite Christmas snacks and treats: shortbread! ferraro roche chocolates, toffifee, clementines, marshmallow peanut butter squares, Turtles.

Do you have VHS/DVD/Blu-Ray?: I have dvd and bluray.
*Does your player of choice have region restrictions?: I'm in North America so region 1 is the norm (I have no idea if my blu ray player can play other regions, I know my PS3 can't)
Is there anywhere that you would like a gift card or online credit for?: Sure! Lush, the Lab or Post, etsy, villainess, sephora.
Things you could always use more of:
Do you wear nail polish?: Yes, but I don't believe you can send it via airmail so it might be out for me being international. I love OPI, BPTP, China Glaze and Orly. All colours except for red and pink and bring on all the sparkles and matte as well as pearl finish.
Would you like makeup?: sure! I love makeup.

Home style: modern with eclectic vintage and antique with pop culture pieces.
Would you appreciate decoratives or art for your home?: sure
*Are there any restrictions (no naked people, no breakables, that kind of thing)?: I have a small place so nothing super big for display or wall hanging and the furbrats are active so the less breakable the better.   Will you be having your birthday during this swap?: no
Would you be open to receiving handmade items?: yes of course (scarves and mittens! boxes for bpal!)
Would you like to be partnered with someone who likes handmade items?: I don't make anything but I could try to? Or try to buy handmade stuff.
Is there anything you definitely do NOT want to receive (things with nudity, profane language, etc.)?: Language is fine (I swear like a sailor) and nudity in a classic sense (old art for example) is fine - but nothing porn derived or cartoon.   Would you like your partner to spoil your S.O./child/cat/dog? What do they like?: It would be appreciated but it's not a requirement (in case you need ideas I have 2 cats and a fiance who stole all my trader joe cookies my switch witch sent me )
Are you comfortable receiving good/like new condition used items?: yes that's fine
What are five inexpensive things you always appreciate receiving? tea and coffee, funky pins (especially ones of my fave fandoms or bpal), lip balm (burt's bees or something handmade from etsy), chocolate, fridge magnets. And dish towels (funky, fun, colourful).   Is there anything we haven't mentioned that you'd like to share with your partner?: THANK YOU SO MUCH! Working retail means the holidays are really stressful and crazy for me. I can't wait to open your presents and look forward to (hopefully) making a new friend.   Please place your wishlists here:
ETSY

BPAL

I love crocheting, it's my favorite hobby. Can I make you a scarf/cowl/sweater/lap blanket to keep you wintery-warm!?
YES PLEASE! I love blankets to inifinity and beyond and scarves in Canada are a necessity and I'm unsure what kind of sweater it would be but as long as it was kinda big and oversize (like an XL) I'd love it.

Is there any craft or hobby that you are interested in trying?
I have lots of stuff I'd like to learn but zero time to do so. I'm still hoping to finish knitting a toque I started 5 yrs ago.

When it comes to makeup, what is your coloring? Fair, dark? Sensitive skin? Eye color? Hair color? Style....funky, natural? Any additional makeup info?
I am fair and sensitive skinned. I have hazel eyes and naturally brown hair that gets coloured whenever I'm bored (it's currently like autumn right now - red hues and brown tones). I love funky and natural - Urban Decay is my fave line and while I love their Naked palettes, I equally adore my Moondust and Spectrum ones. I'm really in love with Sephora right now. But drugstore brands are cool too! NYX is great.

Do you like to receive plants or gardening stuff? Do you grow plants? What's your favourite flower, if you have one?
Tiny apartment so no thank you. I love lavender and lilacs the best for flowers. Plus I have this weird thing for pansies. They're just simple and pretty.

How do you feel about amigurumi (i.e. little crochet toys), either characters from a fandom, wee animals, or as decorations?
No thank you.

How do you feel about knit socks? (Plain stockinette, lacework, cables, etc). Are there any other hand knit items you'd especially like? (Mittens, fingerless gloves, hats, etc).
Arm warmers and fingerless gloves, toques and cableknit socks are awesome.

What kind of snacks do you like? Does dried fruit or crunchy dried vegetables sound appealing? Do you like (raw) honey? Jerky? Jam? What sort of local products do you like to receive as gifts? If you're familiar with products in the Pacific Northwest, is there anything specific you'd like to try?
Dried fruit is a yes, I love apple leather and sun dried tomatoes are amazing. Jerky is welcome! I love beef and turkey jerky. I love cool mustards and jams.

Would anyone mind bath and body works items? Such as hand sanitizer, lotion, candles, car scents or soap?
I love the aromatherapy line from B&BW. Specifically the Lavender/Vanilla Sleep body wash or the Eucalyptus Tea body wash or the Sensual Black Currant Vanilla Body wash (I like body wash lol). I'm not a fan of anything else really aside from some of their candles, but shipping them to Canada is not cheap.

If you had a custom perfume/beauty/bath product made for you, what would it be and what would the scent description look like? (everything from prose to the specific selection of notes) :
I adore lavender and vanilla best - but black currant, beeswax, opoponax, benzoin and resins are great things to mix in.

I love drawing! Either fanart chibis on the tablet or portrait work in graphite pencil... but it's been a while..so I'd love to use this as an excuse to draw something for you! If you could commission an art piece, would you choose traditional or digital artwork- and what would it be of?
Oh my gosh that would be great! Either medium is welcome, and I'd love something based on one of my fandoms in my questionnaire (Labyrinth, the Flash, Harry Potter, etc)

Christmas decor this year:
Sigh. I dunno. I'm hoping to get my tree up and I don't ever do a theme or a colour scheme, I love my tree covered in my hallmark ornaments, my old awful wooden ones I've had for years, treasured glass pcs from my fam etc. It's the same with my apartment. There's a lot of mismatched oddities that have special meaning to me, rather than out of a Martha Stewart Christmas magazine. I also have 2 cats so no plants or tinsel.

What's your shoesize? Would you like to receive socks?
Size 9 US and sure! Wool is itchy to me, unless it's merino and I love prints and colors.

I live in The Netherlands but I will visit England soon and might pay a visit to Germany. Anything special from here that you'd like to try?
I love London! Anything UK themed is great. My family is from Lancashire so anything from there would be cool so I can show my Grandpa.

Do you have any interest in Shakespearean swag (insult mugs, play themed lip balms, oodles of other possibilities) or general performing arts related goodies?
No thanks.

What is your favorite Christmas story - be it book, movie, cartoon - and if there are various versions, which is your favorite?
A Christmas Carol is important to me and I actually adore the muppets movie version the best. I try to watch it every year. Also, The Grinch who Stole Christmas (not the terrible Jim Carrey abomination but the Boris Karloff classic cartoon), Rudolph and Garfield's Christmas.

Do you have a preference for numbered packages or random selection?
I like the idea of them being numbered for some reason (but if my Snow Angel would like to leave it random, that's awesome too).

Do you have any external wishlists, Goodreads, or anything else that you might not have listed in your survey?
I have nothing else aside from ThinkGeek (which needs to updated). If my Snow Angel needs that, I'll update asap and email it through a mod. I am on Goodreads but I've not updated that in forever either

For books that are part of a series, do you have a strong preference for whether you receive them in order, assuming that any overarching plot is reasonably easy to pick up on and the main story is self contained?
In order please, I'm weird that way.

I make paper albums and journals. Would you be interested in receiving something like that? Would you like some other type of handmade paper craft?
You can never have too many journals.

I stalked your etsy and noticed you like gemstones in jewellery!
If yes, what's a list of your favorite semi-precious gemstones?
Garnet, moonstone, flourite, alexandrite, emerald, amber, labrodite, onyx.

What animals do you think are considered cute?
Foxes, cats and kittens, Corgi dogs, owls, chickadees, raccoons and otters.

You mentioned scarves in your questionnaire. Are you referring to a chunky thick keep-me-warm-in-a-snowstorm scarf, or a light and lacy could-be-warm-if-I-wound-it-a-hundred-times scarf?
Both are great. I wear indoor scarves for fashion and since I live in the arctic I need warm in snow scarves too.

Are you currently ISO any BPAL new or otherwise? What are your top 10 scents?
Wishlist in my sig but my top 10 scents are: Chokmah, Snake Charmer (original), Dorian, Alice, Fetish.Goth, Pickled Imp, Sin, Morocco, Tintagel and Unseelie.

My ISO's are: Unseelie, Tintagel, Molly Grue, Chokmah, Gemini 2016, Ebon Night (TAL), Callisto (Moons of Jupiter), Tattered Lace and Seduction IX (TAL).

Black Friday will be a thing during this swap, anything you might want that will be on awesome sale?
If anything I've mentioned is on super sale mode sure! We have BF here in Canada but it's nothing to the extant that it is in the US, so I'm unsure if any of the brands I've shown love for go on awesome sale.

How do you feel about sweeteners? Do you prefer sugar, stevia, sucralose, etc.? Anything in particular to avoid?
I only use real honey and real maple syrup, sometimes some agave nectar.

Games:
I am into video games for my 2DS and PS3 but I've already pre-ordered Pokemon Moon. I love Lego games for my PS3 and would love Lego The Force Awakens or Lego Marvel Avengers but only if it was on sale super cheap cause video games are expensive.

Would you be interested in:

- Dried honeycrisp apples - YES!

- Applesauce (with red hots for sweetness and cinnamon) no thanks

- Rose petal liqueur - I was already gifted some of this amazing stuff

- Blackberry, Strawberry Rhubarb, or Peach Jam - Blackberry please

- garlic dill pickles - no thank you (we make some every year from my grandfather's recipe)

- raw honey from bees on our property - yes please!

- Baked or homemade goods (rum balls, spritz cookies, peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, fudge, cranberry bliss bars, chocolate topped toffee, zucchini bread, pumpkin bread, princess buttercups, chex mixes, trail mixes, etc.)
I think that baked goods might not always survive a post border crossing. If my Snow Angel is in Canada then I adore peanut butter cookies or marshmallow bars, pumpkin bread and brownies. If you're outside of Canada then chex mix or trail mix or something that might be less likely to get confiscated or have an expiry date.

- handsewn project bags or makeup bags? We do different sizes, some with zippers, some with draw strings. I can get all kinds of fandom type fabric like Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Nightmare Before Christmas, Hello Kitty, Harry Potter, My Little Pony, Star Wars, Mario Brothers, etc. I have some glittery bats, skulls, etc. too.
If you're interested, what size would you like and would you prefer drawstring or zipper
I'd love either type (drawstring or zipper) and I'd love any of my fandoms I mentioned in my sign up.

Cookbooks:
I tend to use the internet instead. I don't have room for cookbooks

To Read list:
I haven't had time lately to read anything which sucks. If my Snow Angel thinks I'd love a book based on my likes, go for it.

If there's one place you could go in the world, where and why?
Narrowing this done to 1 place is hard, but I've alway (since I was like 8) have wanted to see Ireland.

What sort of dollar store items do you always get a kick out of? For example, I always love those silly expandable sponges.
I love toys for my cats (those annoying balls with bells in them are adored by my one cat, the other loves the little furry mice) and pens/sharpies/pencils etc.

Trader Joe's: YES PLEASE!!! TRADER JOE ALL THE THINGS. Seriously, I love cookie butter and cookies and biscotti and omg I wish we had TJ in Canada.

SW Fall 2016 Part 2

Is there anything you would like to get from Japan?

Um......everything?? Seriously, I would love some textiles like silks and embroidered stuff, I covet a new fan (like the ladies in the old days used, fabric over sticks) mightily, I'd die over a Starbucks Japan mug, I love Pocky, seaweed snacks......much more but that's what I think of off the top of my head.....
My favorite shortbreads are very rich and crumbly ones, not hard and dried. I like plain, vanilla, and lemon

Sock? I adore socks!! I can tell you I am moving away from shortie socks to crew length and knee highs. I just started working with/riding horses again, so a pair or two that are very heavily padded through the foot would be awesome, and can be worn on my motorcycle rides as well!!

I have a Fitbit Alta, sized small, and I just had to order a new strap because my original one broke. I'd love additional straps; I covet mightily the blush leather one that is Fitbit branded, but it's spendy. Etsy has some fun ones, and I'm sure Amazon/Ebay have some too!!!
Sorry about that darlin'.....when my old laptop died, I lost all of my old files. Trust me, it was a sad moment here when I realized that.......
On Pinterest, I am the deazinn with the rainbow Zebra, the Zebra being the mascot of my rare orphan disease called Ehler Danlos Syndrome/hypermobility type.
On Live Journal, I am dea:underscore;zinn because it hates me.
On Instagram, I am zinndeanna because apparently I already made an account under deazinn, and lost it? And can't find the stinkin' password....

I am currently mostly on Facebook and Ravelry, though I will make a very concerted effort to keep up and answer questions here. Please feel free to poke me, or ask TwilightEyes, Coldie, or damn it the person who sent me the learn to knit kit and the dark snickers and the Dexter knitted lip balm cozy who's name I can't remember!!!!~

VoodooCatWoman it's so good to see you!!!!

Okay, a couple of answers now:   How do you feel about knitted stuff? Love, thanks!!
Fancy? Plain? Either is fine with me

What types of things do you like to wear? knitted shawls, small lap blankets, long long long scarves, especially woven scarves....really, anything! I do have two pair of knitted fingerless gloves that I wear a lot in the cold season.

I'm into beer. How 'bout you? Nope, but I am really intrigued by Mead and would love some samples of different types, the sweeter the better. Same goes for wine, my favorites are ice wines, which I adore. Also wines that are partially fruit nectars.
Styles?
And booze?

How do you feel about caramel? Love soft fluid caramels, chewy ones are really hard on my jaw. Same as gum. No go for my dislocating jaw, thanks!!
Salt or no? either
With chocolate or without? Is this a trick question? Chocolate!!!!

Would you be interested in home made food items? Yes to all of the below.....
- garlic dill pickles
- blackberry jam
- dried honey crisp apples
- applesauce (with or without red hots)
- elderberry syrup (with honey and apple cider vinegar - great for immune boosting)
- honey from our bees
- rose petal liquor (made with our own rose petals and everclear but diluted down a bit so it doesn't knock you over)
- baked goods of your choice, what do you like or dislike? I really don't like fruit in my baked goods, except for cranberries. I love nuts of all kinds, and chocolate.

Would you be interested in project bags/pouches? I love project bags, and really need a couple of larger ones for my never ending blankets.......

And to go along with the previous knitting question...
Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer? (merino, merino cashmere, merino cashmere silk, 100% silk, 100% cashmere, merino nylon, BFL, BFL silk, etc. Or do you like acrylic?) All of the above. I especially adore angora yarn, but it's spendy and hard to find. I love silk, cashmere, alpaca. I don't like mohair. All kinds of wool are fine. I love knitting with cotton. Acrylic is okay if it's really soft.....there's a couple I like and I will find them and post them here if needed. I also bead my knitting, and can use 6/0 beads, preferably Japanese brands (they are the best) and I really like ones that glimmer, glitter and shine.....
9/14/16:

What are you interested in from the recent BPAL and BPTP updates? (Lilith, Lunacy, etc.) I'll get back to this one.....

Would you like hibiscus seeds? Yes!!

SW Fall 2016 Part 1

Witchee, would you like (would you wear?) a long wrap choker?
here's a random image of one I found on google: https://cdn.shopify....pg?v=1472662396

The one I would make for you would be done with pretty glass and/or semi precious stone beads. I can do any colors you choose, and I can use mostly tiny seed beads or chunkier beads or a combination of the two. So...what say you???

I vote yes please!!!!
I only like Chocolate Pocky.......not any of the other flavors. With or without nuts is fine!

I also like low sodium jerkies.....started eating them as snacks with my finicky tummy!!

The Hierophant meads sound good....but I'm with Twi. I don't like beer, or hops. My favorite wine in the world is Ice Wine, with a very fruity slightly sweet sangria being the second. Even rieslings can be too dry for me.

Having said that, mead really intrigues me, and I'd love to try it.

Just so my Witch knows, I'm very intrigued by the Halloween Atmo Spray THE ACTOR ICHUMURA MEETING A CAT GHOST ATMOSPHERE SPRAY.
Yep, I can provide Twi's old address no problem, and I'm open to minioning her, and a couple of others! I have addresses for some of my GUSPers.

Since we've lost Fabienne, if my witch can get their hands on: Girls Love Vanilla, Madame X or Gingerbread Whorehouse, I would be over the top excited!! I've never stored her perfumes, so I have no idea how they age. Anyone here know??

I got back from the doc's a little bit ago.....I apparently bruised my xiphoid process at the end of my sternum.....and, I have a sinus infection! Bleah!!

Thank you so much my beloved Witchee for the ecard and the sentiment! I actually have brownies and fudge both coming now, from my knitter friends in Ravelry and also GUSP'ers on Facebook. I think I'm good.

I also wanted to mention that I'm in a Tea Swap with my knitter group Ravelry, so please don't be sending me tea! I also still have some of my beloved apple Chai from last year. Oh! But, if it's out before the round ends, I do absolutely love the Stash Christmas Eve tea, and a box or two of that would be warmly appreciated. The mint in it helps my tummy, which is an added bonus, so I'm drinking a lot of it!!!

Brownies, the fudge kind, would not be turned away

I like flavor without a lot of heat.......the mild smoked chipotle and the smoked sweet cayenne sound really good. Nothing really over medium in the spice range as hubs is a super taster and can't handle any level of spice.

BDSM/Erotica; sure, I'm up for anything? With my illnesses and wonky energy levels because of them and the meds I take, I'm really hit or miss in the bed, and as I'm pretty visual, that would be fun and spicy for me. I very much tend towards the submissive to my much more dominant husband.

Weenies and NYCC scents.....I'm still pondering. Just got the holiday Lush catalog - some winners in there!!!
I'd really love some thick warm soft socks....not slipper socks though, the jellies on the bottom wig me anymore. I wear a Youth 4 size shoe, so adult size socks tend to be kinda big on me unless they are specifically for the smaller women's sizes.

I'm really into leggings right now, and they tell me that Walmart has some gorgeous fleece lined ones for under $8......I wear solid tops so pretty much any print on the bottom would work, and roses, skulls, sugar skulls, fall leaves would all work. I'm a solid 12 in pants right now, and don't want them skin tight. I have those already

I adore the Bee Folks, and get their honey on a regular basis. I am on my last jar of Cranberry Honey and would love a jar or two! It's my very top favorite and I go through 6-7 jars a year on average.
