Either - prefer fruity flavors   Would you like to receive a journal or sketchbook? How about other pretty paper goods like post-its, notepads, bookmarks, letter paper/envelopes? Yes please. But if it is a journal or sketchbook it has to have some of your art, too. I LOVE to see other peoples's work   Are you interested in audiobooks? If so, any specific titles? Not really   Bar soaps with some scrubby bits, yes or no? Yes   Do you need any small electronic gadgets like flash drives and the like? No thank you   Would you like a pair of knitted socks? sure, as you may have seen in the past, I broke my leg last year and now love my sock collection   Do you have any use for knitted dishcloths, facecloths, etc, especially if they were fandom related? Sure I LOVE homemade stuff....it can be whatever design you want   Do you subscribe to any sample boxes, and if so, which ones? Would you like to receive some samples? (perfume, eco/"green," skin care, hair, music downloads, cosmetics, soap...) No I don't subscribe. I wouldn't mind trying stuff, but not for the computer (right now I don't have one, so I use work, the library, or now at Kinko's)

Damn it past self for not considering that your future self would REALLY APPRECIATE you drinking some damn water before you go to bed!!!!!!   Are you a gamer? Not really. I play games and enjoy them but I'm more into books/movie watching and hanging out and going places than I am attached to playing games. ETI!!!!! I DO have a super nintendo and one game I'm currently missing is Mario kart for super nintendo. If you spot this somewhere, dear Witch and it doesn't cost a million dollars I would LOVE this!!!!   Would you be interested in BPTP CANDY? Sure! If there's no anise/black licorice I'm usually down for trying anything! Do you like coffee? If so, what kinds? Flavored, fancy, basic? Beans or ground? Flavored: absolutely. Fancy? I don't know what this entails . Basic is always fine, but I'm nixing the beans because I don't have a grinder. But I bet coffee freshly ground is awesomesauce.   Would a Starbucks gift card make you happy or do you prefer your local place? It would make me happy, but I don't visit the 'bucks very often. It would still get use though!     Would you like a pair of knitted socks? Anything "handmade" or knitted is a hell yes!   Do you have any use for knitted dishcloths, facecloths, etc, especially if they were fandom related? See above! But yes, yes I would. It would have to be a really high end department store; I would probably get a fitted white blouse with lace cuffs, a really cool vest made of some sort of brocade in autumn colors and pretty brass buttons, a full, mid-calf length black lightweight wool skirt, a petticoat in 100% cotton for underneath. Either leggings or tights, a pair of thick, soft, lace trimmed anklets, and a pair of Christian Louboutin riding boots in black. I would have a really cool cameo necklace that fits close to the throat, with a pretty strand of peachy pearls that hangs long, and matching earrings. A Movado watch. A true golden topaz, not a citrine, ring. 9/20   What is your holy grail "I'd kill to just have one drop in an imp" bpal scent? Storyville   Are there any existing Weenies that you have your eye on, but haven't gotten around to getting? I’ve ordered decants of most of them. But I know that I’m going to love Third Charm!   If you wear earrings, do you have pierced ears? Nope! But I do occasionally where clip-ons and would not mind some nice simple ones that are not too painful.     9/19   You are meeting up with someone on a casual lunch/early afternoon thing. This person is someone you want to impress/look good for (for whatever reason, not necessarily romantic, and not necessarily for business either). What would you look like, given the contents of your wardrobe/etc? Probably a sweater set in a bright jewel town, black trousers, comfy black shoes (I lean towards Keen’s and Danskos and that general type). Or nice jeans, long-sleeve v-neck shirt or sweater with a nice necklace, and again… comfortable shoes.   You are to be let loose in a clothing store of your choice, to pick a full outfit, down to the shoes, the accessories, etc. and things would be altered to fit you if needed. My new job is at a consignment store where we have all kinds of designer brands for very reasonable prices. Are there designer clothes/purses/sunglasses that you desire/love? Twitter and etsy now seem to take up a lot of time, in that I like to look/read things but don't post or purchase that often.   And what are your favourite characters from your fandoms? Firefly - I love Mal (but probably because I have the biggest celebrity crush on Nathan Fillion), but Inara is probably my real favourite character, she's smart, regal, and mysterious. I can't wait for new books to tell me her history. But really all the characters are endearing in different ways from this show so I love them all.   Game of Thrones/SoIaF - I actually really like Tyrion. For the most part I hate the Lannisters (although I'm near the end of the 3rd book and Jamie is definitely growing on me) but the fact that the intelligence and wit Tyrion has in combination with the innate hatred his family has for "killing" his mother makes him a black sheep. What Shae did at the trial almost made me cry as I was actually beginning to believe her and that took me off guard. I also feel a connection to Arya about being outspoken and not wanting to be a traditional lady. I hated Sansa for most of the books until now in the 3rd where she is starting to grow on me; I still don't really like her but I now tolerate her. Dany is also one of my favourites - she is so strong and suffered so many losses that she is just inspiring. Now that she realized some of her mistakes and is trying to be a fair, just and great leader is something that I admire. She could have continued on the path of destruction that she was on, but her reflections changed her mind.   Castle - see Nathon Fillion above. But I really like the interactions between Ryan and Espisito - their relationship is very amusing.   Mass Effect - I love FemShep as a paragon (that's how I play her with pale skin, blue eyes and red hair - yes I totally make my RPG characters look kind of like me) and the voice acting was so spectacular that I really felt connected to my character. I also love Kaiden as a romantic interest - he softness the hardness and intensity of Shepard. Joker/EDI are both fantastic for comic relief, and I love working with Garrus.   Once upon a time - I love this show!!!! Mary Margaret/Snow I think she is awesome, especially as snow. I kind of want to be like her. I love rumpy/Mr. Gold - he is played superbly and I really appreciate the insight as to why he is the way he is. Ditto with the queen/Regina - she is fabulously acted and generally fucking awesome.   Big Bang Theory - I love everyone, but there is a soft spot in my heart for the socially awkward Sheldon.   Lip balm - tube or tin? I prefer tubes, but will take anything.   Would you like to receive a journal or sketchbook? How about other pretty paper goods like post-its, notepads, bookmarks, letter paper/envelopes? I hate raisins in baked goods.   T Shirt sizes: T-shirt sizes are soooo hard to pick out. Unisex shirts I'm usually a medium so it can be a little bit baggy, although I do like a good oversized shirt to wear with leggings and a belt. Ladies shirts it's a hard choice, I often like tees to fit a bit looser as well and usually go with a large (although some shirts run small and I may choose an XL in those). Dear Witch,   I am currently drunk and sniffly and typing this with what brain cells I have that are not drunk. Which equals not many. But Dammit! I am trying to be a good Witchee, plus I have my new job tomorrow afternoon. So here are some (def not all) ketchup ?s. (If they are nonsensical or ridiculous I would have your refer to sentence #1, about being drunk. ) What is your holy grail "I'd kill to just have one drop in an imp" bpal scent? Antique lace or anything that has prominent vanilla like Antique Lace.   Are there any existing Weenies that you have your eye on, but haven't gotten around to getting? I'm not really sure! I have an order for a bottle of Perilous Parlor (vanilla and pears? Um, yes!) and Evening Stock which has been reported to be vanilla-y or flowery or both and since it's a single note I hitched my wagon to it unsniffed. There are other Weenie's that sound exciting so I've been waiting with baited breath for weenie's round two. Also I am intrigued by Lurid Library since I love books so effing much! if you wear earrings, do you have pierced ears? YESSSS! I LOOOOOOVE earrings, I wear them fairly religiously! Especially dangly ones! (Chandelier or grape clusters or skeleton keys!)   You are meeting up with someone on a casual lunch/early afternoon thing. This person is someone you want to impress/look good for (for whatever reason, not necessarily romantic, and not necessarily for business either). What would you look like, given the contents of your wardrobe/etc?   I would wear a dress with fun Moroccan-essque patttern (Empire wasited with beautiful pattern, cream colored with jewel-toned designs)colored tights (I would need plus-sized if they're tight-tights or XL for more spandex type tights) heeled leather boots and (depending on weather) either a light flow-y long sleeved coverup or just the dress. Earrings, makeup and a cute purse (possibly my Lucky crossbody Abbey Road bag (in a raspberry color) since it's one of my fave bags ever and it totally survived the tornado!)   Also, I would wear my Mac/Urban decay makeup with one of my Urban Decay eye shadow palettes as I heart UD's pigments and eyeshadows but love MAC's lipsticks, face powder and makeup brushes.   You are to be let loose in a clothing store of your choice, to pick a full outfit, down to the shoes, the accessories, etc. and things would be altered to fit you if needed. What store would that be, and what would you look like? Whoa, that's an intense thought! It would be a store with plenty of high quality leather shoes (boots!!!!), beautiful classic wrap/empire waist dresses with plenty of vibrant colors and patterns and art deco and art nouveau jewelry. Then a lucky or Fossil purse or possibly a SUPER high end leather purse since I would rather spend more on expensive purses that last than cheap ones that fall apart on me!   You open a box from the post office to reveal the 3 things you want most right now. What are they? (caveats: size doesn't matter, but they have to be tangible/buyable). A digital tablet for my computer (medium sized for art purposes) The Dead Like Me DVD Collection (sadly, my copies of both seasons did not survive the tornado but the shitty movie made it!! WTF? I love the stuff, but I have a limited tolerance for that much sugar.   WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH YOUR ASS OFF!!! movies, comedians, black humor, your partner, a comic strip? what? Besides Yewberry? Eddie Izzard, some webcomics, my husband, our dog being insane.   You are meeting up with someone on a casual lunch/early afternoon thing. This person is someone you want to impress/look good for (for whatever reason, not necessarily romantic, and not necessarily for business either). What would you look like, given the contents of your wardrobe/etc? My wardrobe is suffering, so it would be difficult to pull something great together. I suppose I’d do dark wash boot cut jeans, a red tank top, and a black ¾ sleeve wrap shirt over top. Those clothes are the ones that fit me best, and black/red is a really good combination on me. My hair would be braided so that it wouldn’t go wild, but wouldn’t be too constrained in a pony tail either. If I were going all out, I’d add a pair of earring and some BPAL (impress but not work or romance related? Probably Madrid. It showed up as a frimp in my very first order. I never would have picked it. I rarely think to wear it (especially now). But, damn, that red wine smells amazing on me. It also comes off as a very non-calculated scent when I wear it - Madrid makes people go “wow, you smell good” not “wow, what type of perfume are you wearing”.   You are to be let loose in a clothing store of your choice, to pick a full outfit, down to the shoes, the accessories, etc. and things would be altered to fit you if needed. What store would that be, and what would you look like? No store I know has the clothes I want. I suck at shopping. Depending on the mood, I could go three ways on which clothes to buy. 1.) The perfect pair of jeans. Jeans that fit like they were molded to my skin. Jeans that are just the right shade of indigo. Jeans that will last several lifetimes. To go with the jeans, the perfect black v-neck t-shirt. Soft, sexy, and won’t get crazy holes in it as soon as I wear it a few times. For shoes, I’ll just wear my black birks. No accessories necessary in that outfit other than hair that’s behaving itself (thick, luscious, curly) and maybe some show stopping nail polish. 2.) A drop dead gorgeous evening gown. Something in a vibrant jewel tone - probably red, blue, or green. Something that drapes to the floor but hugs all the right places on the way down. Something that has fucking straps - no strapless dresses in my fantasy world! Shoes would be a pair of badass, knee high Doc Martens with some thigh high stockings underneath (and, of course, a really fabulous garter belt/underwear set). Jewelry would be gems to match the dress (rubies, sapphires, or emeralds) surrounded by delicate silver filagree - a pair of dangling earring and a collar style necklace with bits hanging down off of it. 3.) An outfit that makes me look professional without looking dowdy. A pair of perfectly fitting black slacks, a jewel toned silk shell, and a tailored black jacket. Some open-toed but still perfectly professional shoes. The miracle of the outfit is that it would be the first professional outfit ever to leave me looking curvy (instead of lumpy) without my boobs unintentionally assaulting passersby. All three outfits would have one thing in common: the perfect bra. It would fit, be pretty, and make my tits look fabulous. Freya makes good ones, but they're too expensive to buy one just to wear on special occasions. I know nothing about designer clothes, and I feel like you’re probably sick of hearing about the clothing I like after the last several questions and my crazy pinterest boards. As far as bags and sunglasses go - I don’t carry a purse but can always use nice messenger/laptop bags, and I prefer subtle cat-eye style sunglasses to big round ones.   I realize that we had a similar question in the ?aire, but I need you Witchee-s to list at least 5 items, each ranging $20 and under from Amazon.com or Walmart.com. AAA rechargeable batteries 4. protec humidifier cleaners (they look like plastic balls with a tab sticking out of the top, they’re used to keep mildew and grossness from growing in a humidifier) 5. I also check G+ and Twitter, read Tales of Mu and Intimate History, play Mahjong and Solitaire (World of Solitaire has some amazing varieties), and lately I’ve been stealing the hubby’s facebook to play bejeweled blitz. Anything bath oriented is likely to be fun for me. I’m also curious about Haus of Gloi since it has so many fans here on the forums. I’d be interested in trying any of their whipped soaps or bubbling scrubs. All of the scents except Haus Amber sound interesting. Insalata Nocturna sounds fascinating, but I’m not sure if it will be fabulous or too odd.   ThinkGeek: anything interesting to you on there? Here’s the thing about Think Geek - a lot of the stuff on there is cute, but I don’t want to own it. So much of it is gimmicky. Favorite: chocolate anything, brownies without nuts, mexican wedding cookies, oatmeal spice cake (super spicy), ginger snaps, peanut butter/oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies, the sour cream coffee cake from the joy of cooking (with the cinammon sugar strudel, plus significantly more spices), cheesecake, pumpkin pie, blackberry cobbler, eclairs, pain au chocolat, southern style biscuits, fresh bread (cuban bread, french bread, po boy bread, dark brown almost sweet super dense bread, white mountain bread (woohoo publix!), white batter bread (a la smitten kitchen), sourdough, italian bread, all the bread). I’ll stop there. Least favorite: gloppy overly sweet stuff - I love dessert, but I don’t like that feeling of “oh god, I have given myself diabetes", anything with raisins,   what size T-Shirt do you wear (standard AND babydoll)? Short answer: When in doubt: M in men’s standard, L in women’s standard/athletic or tissue tees, XL in baby dolls. Long answer: I own shirts from size S to size 2X. All of them fit. T-shirt are very brand specific for me because of the way I’m distributed. I’m short, I have tiny bones, and I’m an “ample” hour glass figure with HUGE boobs. I carry a lot of weight on a teeny-tiny underlying frame. I always go by size chart instead of size for that reason. I ignore the size letters/numbers and just find the size most likely to fit my measurements (44-38.5-48.5) based on the chart from that specific retailer. If I’m between sizes on a size chart (or if some of my measurements are in one size and some are in another), I always choose the smaller size. If you’re looking at a specific item/store, have someone send me a link and I’ll let you know which size is most likely to fit.   I found a fantastic little shop while traveling that had unusual jellies and jams. Would you be interested in trying something like Georgia Moonshine Jelly or TOE Jam (each letter stands for some kind of fruit, I don't remember which ones) or something similar? How about homemade jam in general? Sure, I could definitely use some jam! I think I'm getting close to maximum density (ha, that always makes me think of The Breakfast Club. Speaking of which, I love John Hughes movies too!) over in my other post, so all the overflow will go here.   Do you do Goodreads or LibraryThing or a site like that? If so, can I see your to-read list, please? I am on Goodreads but I’m horrible about updating it; still, I took a peek at my to-read list and it’s pretty accurate, though not comprehensive. I have a complicated relationship with zombies. I love The Walking Dead, but it gives me nightmares (even the graphic novels do!). The things that scare me the most aren’t chainsaw-wielding maniacs or paranormal spirits; it’s the things based in reality but tweaked ever so slightly that give me the creeps. So zombies fit the bill, being human and all, but they move strangely and their eyes are dead and they’re, you know, eating brains and such. J-horror is the worst though, oh my god, with the black eyes and the stringy black hair, the inhuman sounds. The Ring gave me nightmares for months, and still does from time to time even though I only saw it once. If you have cats, do they like catnip toys? If you have doggies, would they like a super-reinforced canvas toy with a squeaker in it? My cats would love catnip toys! They turn into American Catiators whenever they get nipped; it’s turned into a great source of entertainment in our house.   If you have kids, what are they into? I actually had a bottle of DMH in my cart during the last Etsy update, but of course my BFE internet service was too slow and I missed out on the lone bottle. Question about being let loose in a store to buy a whole outfit. This will be a complete outfit (underwear and shoes and accessories) because I am anal about making sure I have everything for an outfit. For this I pick American Eagle/Aerie. I shall start with the bra and be less than sneaky about sizing (partially for me and to be nice to my witchykins) I would pick this in Cashew (or whatever the nude colour is) in a 34D. Undies in the same beigeish colour - they are my favourites of all time!!! (medium). Now that undergarments are taken care of on to tops tank in black/medium for under this Sweater in a large forest green (in my world they are not sold out online) to make sure it is extra roomy. As for pants (those are important for sure) leggings in a large for my giant legs. boots in black in an 8 or these boots also in an 8/black. (I fail at finding socks I want peeking out from the boots (wooly things preferably like my etsy favourites)). As for accessories bracelet, necklace. That's a lot of info I know. This person is someone you want to impress/look good for (for whatever reason, not necessarily romantic, and not necessarily for business either). What would you look like, given the contents of your wardrobe/etc? I'd wear my high waisted dark blue skinny jeans (they are yoga jeans and freaking awesome) with my knee high lighter brown boots. As a top I would wear either my green scoop neck shirt with the ruffles around the neckline (looks better than my description or my beatles Abbey Road dolman from the mirage in vegas with a long stone pendant necklace for either outfit. I'd add a sweater to both outfits my either my wilfred heathered black oversized with japanese sleeved one for the green shirt or my black faux leather jacket for the beatles shirt. As for makeup - light foundation just to even out the skin, a little bronzer for contouring, blush (because I am soooooooo pale), mixture of brown shadows and liner right on the eyelash line, mascara and probably a berry (leaning pinkish) lip.   You open a box from the post office to reveal the 3 things you want most right now. I'd either choose Cake Smash or Quincy Morris becasue they both sound awesome. I got into BPAL around the time that Cake Smash was out, but I was afraid that it wouldn't be my kind of scent so I purchased Mlle. Lilith instead - which based on my tastes seems to be a mistake because I snake oil and dorian so cake smash should be amazing! Actually I also wouldn't say no to the dorian prototype that smells like coconut.   Are there any existing Weenies that you have your eye on, but haven't gotten around to getting? I was interested in trying the perilous parlor (because everyone wants that one) and the lurid library, but mostly I didn't see much and am waiting for the second round to see if anything catches my eye there.   if you wear earrings, do you have pierced ears? While I do have pierced ears I do not like earrings. My ears usually swell up and get really warm with any earrings except the kind that you get them pierced with so usually I just have a single pair that I wear all the time.

What store would that be, and what would you look like? Hmm. The store would be Ann Taylor or Banana Republic, something classic and timeless. I’d get a nice sheath dress in a solid color (but not black), either a lightweight jacket or cardigan, a nice pair of pumps, a new watch, and some hoop earrings. Oh and a new briefcase or bag.   You open a box from the post office to reveal the 3 things you want most right now. What are they? (caveats: size doesn't matter, but they have to be tangible/buyable). Switch Witch Fall 2012 Questions through September 19

Questions from start through September 20   Do you like s'mores and s'mores-flavored things?   What's the neatest freebie you've gotten? It can be cool or thoughtful or just totally unexpected, and not limited to BPALdom.   Would you enjoy receiving cute but useful items like colorful kitchen utensils/gadgets, or bento supplies? (boxes, chopsticks, accessories, etc?) What about things like spice mixes (homemade, or Penzey's for example) I think I already have more kitchen utensils/gadgets than I need, given my limited drawer space and the fact that I don’t really cook or bake. My not cooking or baking means that spice mixes would probably be wasted on me as well (but hot chocolate mixes would definitely be used!). I could probably find room for more cute or pretty chopsticks, although I already have more than I use. Bento supplies such as molds or shape cutters would be cool and might even inspire me to actually use them.   Do you like cute, seasonal or fluffy PJ bottoms? Like they sell at Target, Old Navy (they have had cute Halloween ones!) If so, what size do you wear? No, thank you. I do like Halloween PJs, but I already have a handful and I end up wearing them only rarely, plus I’m picky about fit. I tend to just wear sweat pants and Halloween shirts instead.   What kind of chocolate do you like? Nuts, no nuts, white,dark, etc? Mostly milk chocolate. Nuts sometimes – I especially like the Ritter with hazelnuts. My favourite brand is Fannie May, so if my Witch lives somewhere with a Fannie May store, I’d love a couple of chocolate bars (plain, crisped rice, or caramel)! Fannie May’s dark chocolate-covered lemon creams, dark caramels, and dark vanilla creams are some other favourites. Or if my Witch lives somewhere where s/he can buy Nut Goodies, I’d love to get some of those!   I live near a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Penzeys! What does your little heart desire from any or all of these places? I live near a Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s myself, so I’m already covered on those. I think most things from Penzeys would be wasted on me (although if I got anything I’d pass it on to my cousin who loves to bake, in the hopes that she’d bake something for me with them!). I think the only things I’d use from Penzeys would be their hot chocolate mix (they do have one, don’t they?), their cinnamon, and maybe flavored sugars (if they have those).   Are home made foods acceptable or does the idea of eating strange mailed food disturb you? As I’ve mentioned more than once, I don’t really cook or bake, so I’d be thrilled to pieces to get homemade baked goods or candies! I’m sort of picky about other foods, though, so if you have some specialty of yours in mind to send, maybe ask about it in the thread or drop me an email or something and ask?   I just gave you $20 and sent you into a "has everything" store ala Walmart and told you that you have to come out having spent it all, and none of it on anything you need. What would you buy? Be as specific as possible! Like some others here, I boycott Walmart, but at a generic “has everything” store, I’d probably be tempted to buy Halloween cards (I can’t seem to resist them, even though I already have more than I’ll ever use!); nail polish or eye shadow (ditto); and maybe a candy bar or bag of white cheddar popcorn or small box of Lorna Doone cookies. If I happened to pass something Halloween-y or with Hello Kitty on it in the stationery area (note pad, pens/pencils, stickers, etc.) I’d most likely buy that also.   What kind of cuisines do you like? (I mentioned this in my ?aire but curious what my witch may like)And, what are your favorite restaurants? I was raised in a pretty basic meat and potatoes household, so I don’t have the wide experiences with other cuisines that so many other people here seem to have. I do like Japanese and strive to try at least one new thing every time I go to a Japanese restaurant. I’d like to try more Indian food, but I don’t go out to eat very often, and when I do, I always seem to end up choosing the Japanese place instead. My love of chicken fingers and breaded/fried chicken in general is well known among my friends and family – it’s a bit of a standing joke that they already know exactly what I’ll order at most restaurants. Other than that, the usual junk food: pepperoni pizza; fast food burgers; French fries; and fried shrimp. My favourite restaurant is the Japanese one 5 minutes from me, Izakaya Sanpei.   I'm from Canada - is there anything specifically a witchee might like that is only available here? I know it’s not specific to Canada necessarily, but I do love maple candy – the yummy kind that’s just shaped maple sugar, basically. When I was in Halifax on vacations I loved the cinnamon sugar beavertails they sold down on the pier, but unfortunately they wouldn’t travel well at all.   what are your "fandoms" and would you like a t-shirt from TeeFury if an appropriate one came up? I don’t imagine that any of my fandoms would be covered on TeeFury.   Do you have an eReader and if so which one? Nope.   Do you like candles, or tart burners, or something? If so, what's your favorite scent to burn? I do like candles! My favourites are regular beeswax candles; a lot of the Dark Candles scents, especially Forbidden Fruit, Lilith, Autumn Harvest, and Clove; and B&BW’s Marshmallow Fireside (I just bought two large 3-wick candles in this scent). In general I like spicy scents like clove and cinnamon.   Marzipan? No, thank you.   Would you be interested in washable/reusable muslin “paper” towels (basically muslin squares hemmed around the edge)? Maybe in some sort of box to put on your kitchen or bathroom counter? I think that would be really nice. I always feel guilty about the number of paper towels I use, so it would be really nice to have some washable/reusable towels to use instead!   Do you drink alcohol and if so, would you be OK with your witch sending you homemade infused vodka? Oh my gosh YES!!! I’ve been thinking lately about trying to make my own infused vodka (cinnamon, maybe a cinnamon/clove/other spices, and some candy flavored ones for gifts), so if you have instructions for favourite infusions that would be great too! Homemade infused vodka would be delightful to receive, but unfortunately Michigan is one of those no-shipping-alcohol states, so you may not want to risk it.   If you get me (or a fellow Aussie, if there are any playing this round) as a witch or witch's minion, would you like to try some Australian specialties, such as TimTams (delicious chocolately cookies), Caramello Koalas (koala shaped chocolates filled with gloopy caramel), Australian native spices or anything like that? I’ve had the Pepperidge Farm TimTams and thought they were delicious, and I’ve heard that the real Australian TimTams are even better, so I’d definitely be up for trying them! And Caramello Koalas sound both adorable and delicious!   If your witch is a knitter, crocheter or sewer, is there a particular type of garment you would love to receive (hat, scarf, wrap, cowl, socks, fingerless gloves, arm warmers etc)? I have a friend who’s made me scarves for about four years running, so I’m all set on scarves, but I’d love to get fingerless gloves! My hands always get so cold at work, but I need to have my fingers clear to type, so fingerless gloves would be perfect for me. Socks or arm warmers would also be lovely.   Is there anyone else in your house (kids, pets, partner) that would really appreciate a small gift being included for them in the switchwitchy haul so they don't feel left out? Nope, it’s just me and the wild critters outside.   Since it's been mentioned several times, and I've also offered to nacho witch some, would you like to receive wild rice and or maple syrup? I love the idea in theory, but in actuality I’m sort of a picky eater and a lot of the things that normally go into such boxes (jams, jellies, preserves, other condiments) would probably be wasted on me.   Some of your favorite artists? Classic and modern? Pierre et Gilles and Charles Addams. Other than that, I really don’t have much knowledge of different artistic styles or artists. I like some manga/anime styles and in general I prefer photographs and realistic drawings over surrealistic, abstract, etc.   If you could have an image or certain subject painted for you on any type of "canvas" (on a box, on paper, on a canvas, and so on) - could you point your witch to some of these images? Probably something simple and Halloween-y, especially with bats. I like the vintage style Halloween greeting cards images, but that’s more something to decoupage rather than paint by hand.   Is there a GC scent that's been on your list for ages but keeps falling off the bottom of your order because of the LEs? After a couple of rounds of discontinuations got me panicking, I went ahead and got bottles of all my favorite imps and backup bottles of my most favorite GCs, so I’m pretty much set. I’m thinking that I might want to get a bottle of Mouse Circus, but I’d have to try an imp first to see if I like it.   I've been getting into indie nail polish brands recently. What's your favorite indie brand of nail polish? Or what's your favorite mainstream brand of nail polish? Or are you not big on polish? I love nail polish, but I haven’t really gotten into indie brands. Most of them that I’ve seen seem to focus on chunky glitters, and that’s not really my thing. For beers, I tend to like porters and stouts best, then reds and maybe RyePAs, and I really don’t like IPAs/hoppy beers or sours. I've been looking for one for a while now, but it's very hard to find that particular edition in decent condition. (I know, imagine that! A children's book over 40 years old that's still in decent condition is hard to find! Who would have thought? ) I can find later editions in good or very good condition, but I want the '67 or '68 edition, and every one that I've seen for sale online has been in less than good condition. 2. Red & black swirl vinyl version of Senses Fail’s “Still Searching.” (Stupid Gmail sent the pre-order announcement to the spam folder, and by the time I found it hours later and went to order the record, they were already sold out. ) 3. Philips DVP642 DVD player, because mine has died. I'm going to try a fix I found on the Internet involving replacing a capacitor (or rather, I'm going to ask my brother to try), but just in case it doesn't work.... And if it does, then I'd have a second DVD player that I could put upstairs.   if you wear earrings, do you have pierced ears? My ears aren’t pierced and clip-ons always hurt, so I stopped trying to wear earrings years ago.   What is your holy grail "I'd kill to just have one drop in an imp" bpal scent? Maybe the original Three Witches? I got an imp of it in my first BPAL order, loved it, and was all set to buy a bottle, but it got discontinued before I did. When it was resurrected, I was thrilled and stocked up on 2 or 3 bottles, only to discover that resurrection brought with it a banana note that hadn’t been present in my original imp. I hate banana. Every couple of years I bring out the bottle in hopes that the banana note will have died off, but it was still there the last time I tested.   Are there any existing Weenies that you have your eye on, but haven't gotten around to getting? I already joined a decant circle to get the ones I was interested in.

Forum Questions - My Answers (Part 2)

In fear of losing my post, I am starting a new one.   You are meeting up with someone on a casual lunch/early afternoon thing. This person is someone you want to impress/look good for (for whatever reason, not necessarily romantic, and not necessarily for business either). What would you look like, given the contents of your wardrobe/etc? You sure you are ready for this? OK. Dark wash jeans. I have one or two pairs that make my legs/butt look amazing and don't require a belt. No muffin top either, which is a feat for me. Then I would probably elect to wear my short sleeve ivory v-neck top with some beading/crocheting and sparklies around the neck. Because it is fall, I would also throw a purple open-front cardigan over top. The one I have has a ruffle-y thing around the neck/front edge. Then, to give myself a decent shape, I throw a wide belt on over top of everything (high on the waist, around the ribcage). And a scarf in one of my many colors. Add a black trench and a pair of gold sparkly ballet flats and that is it for clothes. I would likely wear something for earrings, nice and dangly. Maybe a headband or a floppy toque if it is cold.   Alternatively, I could do the same thing with my dark wash bluejean skirt and what I call my secretary shoes (beige t-strap stilettos). I'm sure there are. Let me tell you my "pants" story. Weenies are the one seasonal I have never owned. I have had Lupers, I have had Yules. Never Weenies. So this year I said to myself... "Myself, I want Weenies. We are going to find a halfie decant circle on LJ and we are going to buy some Weenies!" I saved until I had enough to buy a few, if not one of each.   The day after the update happened, we wrote off our two year old car in a pretty bad accident. No one but me was hurt, and me not seriously (just got banged up a bit, going to physio for it and its really helping) which is REALLY GOOD. Things like cars can be replaced. People can't. And to top it off, the people in the other car weren't jerks at all. They didn't yell or scream, they were just calm and it was all good.   So I haven't even looked at Weenies, TBH. Because my savings went towards a new car, and with Christmas coming up and now a witchee to spoil *rubs hands together gleefully* there is no point. Also, most of the decant circles are full. *shrug* So Weenies weren't meant to be this year But we did get a shiny new car.   My new job is at a consignment store where we have all kinds of designer brands for very reasonable prices. Are there designer clothes/purses/sunglasses that you desire/love? (Give some indication as to your "style" as well. For example, do you like bohemian-style frocks in lavender? Crossbody purses in black? Sunglasses that are round and bug-like?) I don't think in designers, usually. It would be cool to own something genuine, but not necessary. I like scarves. pashmina-style scarves. And purses. But with purses, the less it has on the outside (fringe, sparkly bits, etc.) the better.   I realize that we had a similar question in the ?aire, but I need you Witchee-s to list at least 5 items, each ranging $20 and under from Amazon.com or Walmart.com. My favorite movie from childhood, Lip gloss, I need this in my life., I want to read this, Lego Harry Potter. Because it is awesome.   Do you have pierced ears? Yes, two holes in the lobe. I have a subscription to Cute Overload as well, so that gets me through the e-mail portion. LOLcats, CakeWrecks, Goodreads, the local paper (I like to be informed), Netflix (on my Wii, but it is still a website, right?)...   Are you interested in audiobooks? If so, any specific titles? I've never really gotten into audiobooks. I find them hard to stay engaged in, and I fall asleep a lot with reading... and yeah.   Bar soaps with some scrubby bits, yes or no? Sure? I like liquid soap too   Do you need any small electronic gadgets like flash drives and the like? Flash drives are awesome.   Lip balm - tube or tin? Prefer tube.   Would you like to receive a journal or sketchbook? How about other pretty paper goods like post-its, notepads, bookmarks, letter paper/envelopes? Yes to all but sketchbooks. I don't sketch. I like paper goods. They are awesome.   Would you like a pair of knitted socks? Sure! I can't take a lot of medicines for common things because of all the things I am on for my chronic stuff. So colds, flu, etc. all get to wreak havoc on me. I drink tea, eat soup, take baths (which I can generally only stand for 10 minutes before I am too hot, lol) and snuggle up on the couch with blankets. Then I break out the kids' movies. The two I have from my childhood are The Jetsons Movie and The Chipmunk Adventure. I watch those two, Ferngully if I can find it on TV or to rent. Disney movies, etc. This is also what I do if I have a bad fibro/colitis day. I hole myself up in my room and watch kids' movies. When I am cranky or sad, I usually smash pixel things on the Wii or the computer. It can be very therapeutic *sagenod*. A lot of the time I will read as well when I am either sick or cranky. And sleep.   Who here is going to be picking up JK Rowling's new book on Thursday? I want to read it, but then I also want to read a lot of things. I won't be waiting in line and it will likely be one I wait a while for.   Favorite and least favorite baked goods? No homemade baked goods, please. (But, for informations' sake... There is a cream called Fat Girl Slim I am intrigued with. And Korres makes a face line for oily but dehydrated skin.   If you like necklaces, what are some symbols or images that you would love to have a necklace depict? (ex. spiders, skulls, hearts...?) I am pretty open. Spiders would freak my hubby out. I like simple stones, I like those circles with words on them, I like lockets. I saw a wishbone necklace that really intrigued me super lots.
