Man, this week has kicked my ass- I have so much Witchee shopping to get done tomorrow! I think I've missed more questions than these, but they were the ones that caught my eye.   Are you interested in trying Super Villainess (from Villainess - the birthday scent that was just released tonight!) and if so, which item do you like the most? (Soap, Whipped, Smooch, Extrait, Smack...) I think no - I love me some Villainess but that doesn't grab me, though the smack sounds good   If I were to order you a Smack, which four notes would you like? Here is my list of Smack combination ideas. I think a smack with 2 hits of coconut milk, 1 buttercream cupcake, and 1 lemon meringue sounds divine. - in my brain it would smell like a lemon cake with buttercream frosting and lots of coconut covering it.   Would you enjoy receiving a knitted gift from your witch? If so what would you be interested in (scarf, hat, wrist / handwarmers, socks, etc.) and in what colors? A hat but be warned that I have a big head. Few more SW questions

Easter Candy - do you like it? If so, what types? I like those little Cadbury eggs, I forget what they are called, but they have the hard colorful shell and chocolate inside. They're little. Gahh what are they? I like the cadbury caramel eggs but not the regular cream ones (too sweet). I loathe peeps, but my boyfriend loves them.   What scent(s) are you petrified of getting DC'd? Kuang Shi, Dee, The Phantom Wooer. I'm just about out of Kuang Shi and my bottle of Dee is very low. I had a bottle of the Phantom Wooer but for some reason it was all wrong If they get DCed I'd literally cry. I don't have many rares so I doubt I'd be able to swap for them.   Violette Market Update is up. Do you covet anything from it? I haven't looked, I can't even keep up with BPAL so I don't really know what's going on with the other similar etailers. I am suggestible though, and love samples.   What is your favorite type of wine? Would you be interested in trying something new? In that case, is there anything you really DONT like? Ooooo how about dessert wines? I haven't really got into wine because it's too expensive. I stick to beer. I do like wine and would welcome it but I'm very ignorant about it so I don't have any known preferences.   What three things are you craving right now? Coffee. Sees dark chocolate (I guess it was the "easter candy" question!). Lately I've been craving Animal cookies (the pink and white frosted ones with sprinkles), I noticed them at the store the other day and forgot how much I love them.   paper goods, anyone need? including resume paper, and formal stationery as well as casual cards. Probably nothing formal needed. Cute/pretty stuff is welcome. Note cards, notepaper, stickers, notebooks, anything like that I love.   What is a scent that you've been trying to find even a sample of for a very long time to no avail? (What bottle would you die to get your hands on - even a partial?) I don't think there's anything that stands out as absolutely needing to try, there's just lots that I would like to. I would like to try more lunacies, especially the more recent ones (so it's possible I could hunt down a bottle if I liked it). I would love to get a bottle, a partial bottle would be great, of Severin or The Unicorn.   Is there anything in your life that you'd like advice or a "selfhelp" book for?: (ie finances, eating healthier, meal planning) Hmm I do read self help sometimes. Finances, no, because it's just hopeless. No diet books please. Maybe books on writing (I've read The Artist's Way and On Becoming a Writer, stuff like that). Spiritual/buddhist books, books on meditatiton. Nothing like "The Secret" though.

Massive Treasure hunt SW ketchup

I am sorrry my Dear Witch, for not getting this posted before leaving town! I'm blaming it on excitemet over seeing the significant other, as opposed to just my usual dorkiness. Anyway, here are a list of questions, that I think are updated through last night. If you need anything else, please poke me, and I'll respond much quicker and I promise to stay on top of the questions! Violette Market Update is up. Do you covet anything from it? I've only tried a few VM blends, but looking at the Lion & Lamb LE's the following look very nice: The Lost Woods of Killarney, The Lion and the Lamb, and Tir na nOg 2011.   What three things are you craving right now? Mashed potatoes, coke and crystallized ginger   paper goods, anyone need? including resume paper, and formal stationery as well as casual cards. I go through a TON of sticky notes. Love them, tiny ones to giant sized.   What is a scent that you've been trying to find even a sample of for a very long time to no avail? (What bottle would you die to get your hands on - even a partial?) Geek Goth! I'm pretty sure this would be my idea of heaven in scent form.   Is there anything in your life that you'd like advice or a "selfhelp" book for?: (ie finances, eating healthier, meal planning)     If your Witch lived near you, would you be happy or creeped out to get a "coupon" for a service like cleaning help or babysitting or dogwalking or coffee out with your Witch or something like that? I love kitchen gadgets of all sorts, and right now I really need to find a new candy thermometer.   Ok geek check - what sort of geeky things do you do? Do you read comics/graphic novels? Are you obsessed with something (a TV show maybe?) Do you work in a geeky field? Do you play rpgs like Dungeons and Dragons? Would you like gifts related to any of these? Nothing that I can really think of.   Do you have a favorite fabric? If someone were to make you a fabric item, would you prefer it be out of any fabric? e.g. velvet, satin, silk, cotton, bamboo??? Would this change if it were an article of clothing vs. a bag/pillow/blanket/something else I love soft snuggly fabrics: chenille, velvet, really the only thing that would be a no would be wool, and that is if it were to touch me, as I'm slightly allergic, but in a bag or something that would be fine, too.   Anything with the Worm Moon update that you're already lusting after? LORD TEISHIN WITH A DEMON BEHIND A SCREEN, I NO HAYATA KILLS THE NUE AT THE IMPERIAL PALACE, MINAMOTO NO YORIMITSU CUTS AT THE EARTH SPIDER, and ENLIGHTENMENT OF THE COURTESAN JIGOKUDAYU are the ones I'm lusting after. I have Worm Moon '08, and while I like it, I don't wear it enough to justify another bottle.   Would you want an invite to a site that is invite-only ex. Diaspora, Demonoid, etc. If so, what? I'm not sure what they are, so I would probably have to say no. Unless of course you think I would like it, then I'd have to say, I'd be happy to check it out.   Pillows? What size/designs/colors would most interest you? I love pillows! Greens, browns for the living room and pinks, golds, for the bedroom.   purses? bags? What style/colors? I love bags and purses!!!! Big ones! If I can't put a hard cover book and my camera in it, it isn't useful to me. I've got some favorited on my Etsy wishlist, so those might give you some ideas for style.   Decorative scarves for hair and/or creative accessorizing? What colors? Sure. Again, some are favorited on my Etsy list to show the types that I like. Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? I have never tried anything from them, but have lusted after some of the things on their website for a while now. I would love to try anything that you think I might like.   For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? Definitely more cool colors (I like things with a purple or pink tone usually), and shimmer is great.   Are there any fancy/gourmet/special herbs or spices that you'd love to receive? ie: good quality vanilla or other extracts, vanilla beans, saffron, lavender, etc. Good vanilla is always appreciated! Any other spices & herbs would be fun to try, especially if you have a favorite recipe to try them with.   What's your favorite animal? Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? I love love love love bears!   If you were able to get a vintage or prototype bottle from the upcoming West Coast Will Call, which one would you want? There are so many I would love to try! But seeing as I live so far from WCWC, I try not to look at them because I know the odds are so great against my ever getting to try them. However, glancing at the list, I would probably commit all sorts of naughty deeds to get my hands on any of the following: Enraged Bunny Musk, Monsterbait: Underpants ( I lust for this), Snow Maiden 2006, Red Phoenix, Velvet Panther V3, Cake Smash V6, CD:Alley of Games V6, Elf V4, Half Elf V5 and Sugar Plum Fairy V3. Actually, looking at that list, it is probably a good thing for my wallet that I can't go to Will Calls!   DVDs, Blu-Ray, both, neither? DVD Sock Dreams? What kind? (anklets, footies, etc.?) Oooo Sock Dreams Love!!!! I have weird legs, and I love the socks that are ankle high.   Since this is a price capped round, would you rather get one "big" thing or lots of "little" things or don't care? Whatever is easier for you Dear, Witch!   Do you like pirate-related things? Not so much   Soaps? Be specific: if there are BPAL soaps you want to try or are dying for more of, tell all here! The Significant Other recently stole my last hoarded Queen is Dead. I've tried a couple of other kinds, but I don't really care for the ones that aren't emulsifying. Next on my list to try is Villaness Smack.   What periods of art do you love most? Like, if someone was going to get you a tapestry or a box or some other item, what period would you want it to most resonate with? the pinks and golds of Rococo? the clean geometry of Art Deco? The romanticism of Art Nouveux? The strange lines of Cubism? If so, what kind (snap clips, scrunchie, headband, etc), how big & crazy (lowkey, bigger the better), and colors. I have a little longer than shoulder length hair and 99% of the time I wear it up. I love scrunchies, and clips and claws and really anything that pulls it out of the way. I've never really figured out a way to look good in a headband, though. I have thick, kind of bushy hair, and they always kind of give me a Bozo the Clown look.   Piercings? - ears?? - elsewhere? Just ears... One hole in each.   Chocolate. With stuff in it? Do you covet anything from it?   I'm not really sure what that is, and I try to stick with BPAL for perfume since I can't even keep up with that!   What is your favorite type of wine? Would you be interested in trying something new? In that case, is there anything you really DONT like? (post surgery I have to sleep at a 30-45 degree angle on my back, so I'm on the couch propped up with pillows)   paper goods, anyone need? including resume paper, and formal stationery as well as casual cards.   I have a lot, but if you find some absolutely perfect stationery I wouldn't say no.   What is a scent that you've been trying to find even a sample of for a very long time to no avail? Red apple, aromatic bitters, spearmint, eucalyptus, benzoin.   Review:   In the bottle: Spicy apple and mint, or a minty apple pie.   Wet: It’s cold from the mint. It really smells like apple, with a little bit of warm benzoin and cold eucalyptus. The mix of hot and cold is a bit weird at first, but I got used to it after a minute or two.   Dry: The aromatic bitters appeared, making the apple spicy again. However, it remains foody. I still smell mint, eucalyptus and benzoin, but it's still delicate.   Verdict: Another fruity scent from Good Judy and, as always, an interesting one. In fact, it smells so good, my parents’ dog followed me all-day with her nose up in the air, smelling my trail as if she expected me to get an apple turnover out of my pocket...

Yules: Snow White 2010 Category: Limited Edition Quantity: bottle   Description: SNOW WHITE 2010 A chilly, bright perfume: flurries of virgin snow, crisp winter wind and the faintest breath of night-blooming flowers.   Review:   In the bottle: So soft and delicate... I smell a bit of vanilla and sugar, but I’m not quite sure what else.   Wet: It smells sweet and floral, almost foody. It reminds me of Dana O’shee, only colder and crisper.   Dry: It turned into vanilla, coconut, mint, and almond, with a floral background.   Verdict: Overall, it’s lovely; however, I really got into it when I went outside. I don’t have a printer so I don’t really use much other paper goods.   -What is a scent that you've been trying to find even a sample of for a very long time to no avail? (What bottle would you die to get your hands on - even a partial?)   I’ve been dying to try Cake Smash, Underpants (lol), and Candy Butcher. Of course But most of all I have wanted to try the Cinnamon version of Hamadryad. It keeps escaping me! As for a bottle/partial bottle that I would love... Midway. Res’d or original. I’m kind of a huge nerd. I also love Collectable Card Games (though I don’t actively collect them any more), Board games like The Betrayal in the House on the Hill (I’d kill to have this, best game ever), cardish games like Munchkin/Lunch Money/Cthulhu 500. I am a special effects nerd, and do horror makeup as a hobby. I would love gifts pertaining to any/all/whatever.   -Do you have a favorite fabric? We had our first rain today

If that is not a reason to celebrate, I don't know what is (I live in Finland, it's been a long, cold winter, and just the prospect of an early spring? THRILLING!)   So, celebrate is what I want to do, and of course I want to do it with BPAL. But I'm seriously lacking in paypalz, so a list of bottles (many, many bottles) will be compiled shortly and prepared for the sell/swap section. I've already stocked up on envelopes, so I'm good to go.   Spring Cleaning, here we go!

I want to say that I have been obsessing over Snow White since I got a decant of it. Which is almost gone!   Is there anything in your life that you'd like advice or a "selfhelp" book for?: (ie finances, eating healthier, meal planning) I thought that said mine planning and I was like THATS MY JOB! Anyway... I like books about relaxation techniques. I had a book on visualization as a teenager and it really helped me through some tough times. But that doesn't mean I wouldnt go! Just might need to be an outgoing other person to offset my shyness. And RE: personal delivery: my neighborhood has a 24/7 "guarded" gate so they wouldn't be able to get inside the neighborhood unless I put them on the list. My home scents are basically the opposite of the scents i wear. I gravitate towards manly (mmm leather) scents or foody scents for my home. I seem to have allergic reactions to a lot of the sweet floral scents when they are in candle/tart form. I also like any 'clean' scents... the yankee candles new laundry scents are pretty awesome I go with the season though. In the spring I will suffer my allergies to have smells of flowers and grass and whatnot in the house. In the summer I will have clean, citrussy smells. In the fall I will go for thanksgivingy stuff (ginger! pumpkin!). Winter is for pine and snow smells! The manlier stuff can be used all year long because they are my boyfriend's favorite. In summary: EVERYTHING BUT CHEAP SMELLING VANILLA   What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters? New arrivals and the locket!

I got my big shipment in - along with a gorgeous scent locket (goldfish pool)! It looks so much better in person! And works beautifully for holding scents inside. I was using a different locket before this arrived - a rose gold one... but it seemed to have an odd smell to it... the new silver locket holds the BPAL oils without any weird smell from the metal coming through :-)   My current reigning favorite? White chocolate, mango, and buttercream. Wow. Its such an amazing scent that I ordered 2 more bottles before they went off the market (1 more for me, and 1 to use to trade).

I used to collect Marvel comics - mostly the X-Men range - about 1997-2000. I still love the 90s X-Men and the Age Of Apocalypse storyline. (AUs FTW!) Then I moved and stopped collecting. But I still have a fondness for Jean Grey and Cyclops, Psylock (Japanese Ninja version - see? NINJAS!), Rogue (with Gambit), and Storm (African Weather Goddess version, not Halle Berry's movie version).   Around 2004, I started watching the Justice League Animated series and fell in love with the Trinity of Bats, Wondy, and Supes. Mostly Bats and Wondy, with Supes in there only if Bats is also there. I have both the Bats and Wondy 12" dolls at home. *coughs*   What types of scents do you like to scent your home? Which do you totally avoid? Vanilla, floral, herbal. Nothing dirt or too heavy.   Do you like poetry? Love it. I'm very conservative with nail polishes - browns and pinks. (Pinkish browns?) Unfortunately, the Post's polishes are too dark for my regular wearing tastes, and I can't remember the OBI colour that I like.   Anything with the Worm Moon update that you're already lusting after? The Japanese scents sound pretty nice. But I applied for a decant circle (not sure if I got in: haven't heard back)   Is there any kitchen gadgets or goods or what not that you need/want? I'm not allergic to anything - I just don't like scratchy on my skin.     --   For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? I usually just use Vaseline or The Body Shop's Hemp Lip Protector. Nothing scented or tinted. But I've got golden olive colouring, so something in the darker, browns and dusky roses shades would be better than pinks, scarlets, or oranges.   If you were able to get a vintage or prototype bottle from the upcoming West Coast Will Call, which one would you want? ...I'm tempted to say 'MB:Underpants, but I think Victorian Rose Milk sounds lovely. Otherwise, Threnody or Katharina!   DVDs, Blu-Ray, both, neither? DVDs, yes. I think the stepfather has Blu-Ray. They certainly have 3D. March 17   Pillows? What size/designs/colors would most interest you? I like pillows! I like pillows that are bright and colorful, becuase most of my couches and thinks are boring broooown. Also, I have some quilts on the beds, and I'm sure any pillow you could make would be represented in a color on the quilt. One is a series of blues, one is going to be this one: link 1 And one is this one: link   purses? bags? What style/colors? I love purses! I typically go for hobo styles, but I recently purchased a vera bradley bag (I know, so sorority girl and 8 years ago) but I am in love with its shape. It's called the "alice' it has a closure on top and has tons of pockets for my two cell phones and keys and things. I have pretty boring hair so I like to put stuff in it. I like everything but: 80's knockoff prints, sparkley metallic, neon.   Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? The stuff in the Mythology of Love Collection sounds cool. The other stuff seems a bit too foody or rich.   Side note:I have a really sensitive scalp and I react harshly to most any shampoo that doesnt have some sort of medication in it (like, skin sloughing off). So I'd be nervous about someone buying me any kind of shampoo. But I dont have any adverse reactions to conditioners (and do a conditioner only routine every once and a while)... but my hair LOVES 'cones. I know they are bad, but my hair relishes in their glorious sinful delights! I keep trying new conditioners but I keep going back to Brilliant Brunette. Oh my god I'm rambling telling my witch about my hair. Sorry!!!!! Forgive me, beautiful witch!!   How do you feel about nail polish? What colors do you like? Sparkles? I love nail polish! I usually keep the brighter (Yellow! orange!) colors for my toes, since I work in an industry dominated by older, conservative, men On my fingers I'll usually either wear nothing or something "normal"... dark red, pink, dark blue... etc Sparkles are good!   Ok geek check - what sort of geeky things do you do? Do you read comics/graphic novels? Are you obsessed with something (a TV show maybe?) Do you work in a geeky field? Do you play rpgs like Dungeons and Dragons? Would you like gifts related to any of these? I do not read comics I am not really obsessed with any TV shows. i used to watch Fringe but they moved it to Friday night and I never watch it anymore... I am an engineer, which can be pretty geeky, but i work in a construction/mining company so it's more LETS MOVE DIRT than LETS DO MATH! I do play World of Warcraft, which is really nerdy. I have been playing since... 2008? hmmm, I can't think of gifts relating to any of these.

Spring 2011 Switch Witch extras

Late May/early June 2011, I wasn't able to squee about my final package from my Witchy because the IGI thread was already closed. So here it is:   I received an unexpected Switch Witch package the other day! What a lovely surprise - I'm sure the international postal people hung on to it for a while, just because. Picture here Inside was some great paper goods: a bookmark printed with Gouldian finches (so vivid!), 2 BPAL postcards I haven't seen before & a pretty postcard of the Sunset over Sydney Harbour with a note from my dear Witch. There was also some other awesome BPTP swag - the coveted white BPAL pen & an Underworld Cup pin (yay!) - Some very nice Emma Page jewellery: sparkly earrings & a silver heart pendant with a chain - awesome Australian Redback Spider socks (officially the coolest socks I own!) - Hand Balm in Tranquil Sleep from Lathers & Lights (very soothing) - a nice selection of imps: Al-Azif, Bohun Upas, Casanova, Lorelei, Night Raven & Psyche - a whole bunch of sweet origami cranes, stars & hearts!   Thanks so much for all the goodies!   Here's a picture of my first package: viola! .   March 25   Are you interested in trying Super Villainess (from Villainess - the birthday scent that was just released tonight!) and if so, which item do you like the most?
