okay behind as USUAL

Oh how i hate frames, this is in a TINY little square now. How am i supposed to compose in this thing *elbows some space to write in*   All right first i will do the great question catch up then well i am betting it will be another post.   March 17   Would you want an invite to a site that is invite-only ex. Diaspora, Demonoid, etc. If so, what? Sure although i already have a demonoid account i havnt used in years.   Pillows? What size/designs/colors would most interest you? Oh man i LIKE big colorful fluffy pillows. I love textures and well as long as it isnt a pastel floral i am pretty good with pillowness.   purses? bags? What style/colors? Okay here is a confession. Ia m a woman who dosn't carry a purse, I like them but the ones i want cost to much money and the ones i can afford i dont want. What i want is a BIG leather purse that is butter soft and To big for me to forget.   Decorative scarves for hair and/or creative accessorizing? What colors? Okay I LOVE LOVE LVOE hair sticks, problem is they ahve to be bright and sturdy enough to hold up THICK heavy hair. I snap little ones or they jsut arnt enough to hold it up. I need at least 7 inc of usable stick. I LOVE LOVE wooden ones that are about the size of good chop sticks. They need to be rounded and smooth or my hair eats them. I used to have some beautiful red ones what i wore for years. I accident snaped them when i had my hair to high and wound it to tight on the stick, I was sad   Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? humm not sure wonder if i can find a link. (ill get back to you)   March 16   For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? I have to admit i dont wear them but hey i am willing to try anything, and if i could get a green apple lip gloss I could be a convert     Are there any fancy/gourmet/special herbs or spices that you'd love to receive? ie: good quality vanilla or other extracts, vanilla beans, saffron, lavender, etc. - I have ALWAYS wanted to try some fo these but well i cant bring myself to pay what they want for them. Switch Witch Treasure Hunt Round: extra info I forgot to put in my questionnaire

I always, always, always think of so many things to add as soon as I send in my questionnaire... so I figured I might as well make up another blog post for them because the list was getting kind of long.   I can't believe I forgot one of my favorite animals: SNAILS! I love them! I think it's because of the way the question was phrased. It was more about what animals have significance for you. And phoenixes and yellow butterflies have particular significance for me but snails are just my favorite. Anything with a snail on it I will love. I have multiple stuffed animal snails and shirts with snails and I rescued one from the place I used to work (it's kind of a long story but I'm more than willing to tell if you want to hear!)... they're just so awesome and cute!     I reeeeeaaallly like buttons. The ones with witty and clever sayings you pin on your jacket or bag. (there are a ton on my etsy wishlist).     I love things that look like other things and miniature stuff. For example, I have a strange fascination with miniature food (there are also examples of this on my etsy wishlist in the form of miniature food jewelry.) Wallets that look like notebook paper and book safes are other good examples (also from the etsy wl).     I’ve been itching for a new avatar on the forum but I’m not really all that good at creating them for myself. So if you’re good at making icons or can get someone to do it for you, a set of custom icons with and without my forum name would be so cool! Maybe with a corset theme? People have been telling me lately that my forum name sounds dirty… (Which, yes, it kind of does. But I didn’t mean it that way at the time I promise!) So... I think a set of icons with a corset theme paired with my name would make for an interesting combination.     Lately I’ve been trying to expand my perfume horizons. So I guess what I’m trying to say is I am really looking to try the non-BPAL perfumes on my wl on the forum and on etsy (like Arcana, DSH, Conjure, Morbid The Merrier, HAEE, etc.). That’s not to say I don’t want BPAL (heaven forbid! ) but I’ve just been branching out a little…     I really love MeiLin’s writing. I have her first book (Lovers and Beloveds) and the ebook anthology that she wrote a story for but she has a new ebook short story out that I haven’t bought yet. (Actually there are two I think? The Gratification Engine and Accounts. I don’t have either.) I don’t have an e-reader or anything so it would have to be a PDF. But that’s something I would love to receive! I like that *ahem* type of writing in general (overshare? I do tend to do that… lol sorry). I also really LOVE the Kushiel’s series by Jacqueline Carey. I used to have all the books but I loaned the first 4 to someone and never got them back.     I love notebooks! The blank pages of a new notebook are so full of promise. (I do prefer lined notebooks to blank ones though. Somehow I can never seem to keep my writing straight on unlined pages. ) Any size is fine. Spiral or bound.     Oh… and this is kind of random, but you know the questionnaire about what kind of shoe would you be? I bought shoes the other day that are almost exactly what I was thinking of when I answered that question. I didn’t realize it until I was reading my own witchee’s questionnaire and got to the shoe question. I thought you might want a visual answer, lol! Here they are sitting on the floor. (you can see my former favorite and tallest heels in the background). And on my feet. Yes, I can actually walk in them without breaking my neck, I promise!     Another random thing: Please ignore my stash manager thing here on the forum. I really don’t keep up with it. The “my stash” link in my sig is much more accurate and updated.     Whew... Okay that was kind of long. Sorry about that. I try to give as much info as I can because I know I like as much info about my own witchees as I can get!

Switch Witch Q&A - Spring / Treasure Hunt round

Easter Candy - do you like it? If so, what types? I can take or leave it - I like chocolate, but not in huge quantities at once.   What scent(s) are you petrified of getting DC'd? Hmm... The Lights of Men's Lives, Liz, Pele, and I'll be really sad if any more of the Mad Tea Party blends go - I was seriously bummed I never got to try March Hare. There are a bunch of GCs I've been meaning to try for ages and I'm worried they'll be DC'd before I get the chance.   Violette Market Update is up. Do you covet anything from it? Never tried VM scents - trying not to develop any more costly obsessions!   What is your favorite type of wine? Would you be interested in trying something new? In that case, is there anything you really DONT like? Ooooo how about dessert wines? Love most reds, some whites (Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Gewurztraminer), but very few sweet wines appeal to me.   What three things are you craving right now? Right now? Malaysian food, a hot bath and a blissful night's sleep. But If you're in the US, dear witch, and you happen upon any of the cherry cordial M&Ms I was recently enabled to, that would make a great substitute for any of the above! I’ve been trying to find a good organic shampoo that doesn’t make my hair limp and greasy, so if they do anything like that it would be awesome. If they're natural spice blends then sure, but the thing that bothers me with commercial seasonings is that they're sometimes bulked out or enhanced with artificial crap. There are some that I like, but I mostly buy fresh spices and combine them.   Do you like any particular kinds of green or back teas or coffees that could also be gotten in bulk? Nothing in particular, but I always enjoy trying different tea blends.   Favorite snack foods I'm on kind of a health kick right now, so I'm trying to avoid too much sugar and other refined carbs. The things I'm snacking on are nuts, dried fruit, hummus, baby cucumbers... I feel virtuous

Ordered Shanghai and Kyoto...

These wouldn't normally have been on my "to try" list - but I saw that BPAL was donating all proceeds for March purchases of those two perfumes to the Red Cross. Figured, even I don't like them - at least the money will be going to a good cause.   Still waiting on my order from the beginning of the month. Was surprised at the time differences. When I made my first order on Amazon, it was here within 1 - 1.5 weeks. It took 1-2 weeks before it was even shipped (guess the Amazon stock was pre-made, and the ordered from the Lab site is made as it's ordered?). Either way - getting closer to having my new stash in!

Spring Switch Witch Questions!

If someone were attending Disney on Ice (Toy Story 3) with a bunch of Girl Scouts, would you want a patch/souvenir? Hmmm, I haven't seen Toy Story 3 yet, but I am in to the princess movie side of Disney more than Toy Story... My friends and I each had a princess of our own and mine was Jasmine!   Would you rather have HUGE list of things your witchee wants to try or just a highlight list? Either! I think any kind of list could be helpful in divining what my witchee would like!   Baked Goods? Yea Nay? If not Baked goods and you are changing eating habits..a book of recipes perhaps that will help the new eating lifestyle? Hmmm, I love baked goods, but I think I would rather make them myself. I find baking kinda... therapeutic. My SO hates having baked goods in the house though, so they almost always end up at his work to be shared.   What level of nudity are you fine with on items? I am okay with a bit, but I prefer less nudity than more. I guess a breast here or there is fine if you are talking about goddess art and all that!   Would you like other kinds of gently used items that may have come from a garage sale? Sure!   If you were to make an order RIGHT NOW, what would you order? I have been asking myself that question for a bit now! I haven't placed a BPAL order since December and I can't remember my last TP order! BPAL: WILF, Womb Furie 2011 BPTP: Glowing Vulva Bath Oil, Spanked Revisited, Celeste Perfume, Kitty Perfume, Ninon Perfume   Do you like cooking seasonings, like the kind you can get in ounces sizes? Yep! I love cooking new and interesting things! Penzeys Spices is my friend!   Do you like any particular kinds of green or black teas or coffees that could also be gotten in bulk? I prefer black teas and coffee, but nowadays I can only have decaf. Caffeine does bad things to my heart.   Favorite snack foods (and can they be from bulk section as well?) There is no way I can list all my favorite snacks! Recently though, I have really been craving mochi and boba drinks. *sigh* I really miss my jasmine milk tea with boba! I also love peanut, m&m, almond, and raisin (I think?) trail mix even though I normally really dislike nuts.   Tim Tams? My favorite are the caramel tim tams, but I can get those myself!   Is there any "classic" literature (Hemingway, Dickens, Elliot, Bronte, Hugo, Wilde, etc.) that you would like to add to your collection? Hmmmm, I'm not sure. I have been wanting to read a Dickens novel or two, but haven't found the time. I don't think I am as interested in classics as much as modern fantasy/historical fiction.   Candles/melts? I have been wanting to get a woodwick candle. Something in vanilla or something sweet/comforting. You hear that, no chores, responsibilities, or budget you have to follow. What would you do in those 24 hours? Only 24 hours? Wow, that is tough. Anything I would want to do would definitely last more than 24 hours.... Maybe.... You know, I think I would take a nice nap and relax during the day. At night I would want to go out to a nice dinner. Somewhere yummy. Then to some sort of dance club to learn some steps! Sounds like fun!   Do you enjoy gardening? If so, what kind of stuff do you grow? I do, but I have discovered without my mom around that I have a black thumb. I really do kill every plant I have had! I even killed a cactus.   Favorite artists/paintings? Definitely like Alphonse Mucha. I know there are so many I love, but I really couldn't name them at the moment. I do love Da Vinci (talk about classics...) Ummm, I will have to come back to this one in my blog.   Booze? Yay or Nay? So much yay! I love mead and the sweeter stuffs! Irish cream, late harvest wines, port... etc.   Steampunk inspired items? Yay or nay? So much yay! I don't really own much steampunk inspired stuff, but I would love to start making steampunk jewelry in the future!   Amigurumi? (the little Japanese stuffies) I think they are adorable!   Pirates vs Ninjas vs Zombies - who wins? Which do you love most? I feel bad saying it, but zombies just creep me out. I am definitely a pirate person with a little ninja thrown in!   Piercings? - ears?? - elsewhere? Just one piercing in each ear! They are really sensitive though and get easily infected which is why I don't like to change earrings often.   Do you like wearing things in your hair? If so, what kind (snap clips, scrunchie, headband, etc), how big & crazy (lowkey, bigger the better), and colors. I love henna! It doesn't really show up much in my hair since it is pretty much black, though I have been arguing that it is dark brown for years. I mostly wear a ponytail every day since I work in a clean room and have to wear a hairnet every single day.   Chocolate. With stuff in it? Caramel cadbury eggs, reeses, and that chocolate with ginger bits in it are my weakness! Oh, and Toblerone! Don't really like chocolate with nuts though.   For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? I love lip balms that double as lipstick (burt's bees). Lipstick doesn't tend to last too long on me, so I find that tinted lip balm is the way to go! Though I have been seeing some matte lipsticks that intrigue me.   What's your favorite animal? Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? That's hard to say since I have so many! Let's see.... Cats (black and white), horses, tigers, and canadian geese mostly.   If you were able to get a vintage or prototype bottle from the upcoming West Coast Will Call, which one would you want? At this point, probably Saqqara v2, though it is hard to tell since there are no scent descriptions for any of them!   DVDs, Blu-Ray, both, neither? I have Netflix, so I am mostly good on those!   Sock Dreams? What kind? I LOVE knee high socks! Don't really like the ones with the individual toes. I normally get the stripe ones, but I think others would be awesome!   Since this is a price capped round, would you rather get one "big" thing or lots of "little" things or don't care? I think whatever my Witch decides is best!   Do you like pirate-related things? Yes!!   Soaps? I like them! I am really liking Villainess' Embargo at the moment.   Copied CD's or DVD's? I have a pretty good DVD collection and a Netflix account, so I don't think I need any DVD's at the moment. I don't really have much in the way of CD's, so mixed CDs sound awesome to me!   Caffeinated lollies? I can't do lots of caffeine. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs) I can't really do natural deodorant, but I do love home fragrances! Especially in vanilla/comfort scents!   How do you feel about nail polish? What colors do you like? Sparkles? I am not allowed to wear nail polish at my job.... Getting nail polish on medical devices is a big no no!   Ok geek check - what sort of geeky things do you do? Do you read comics/graphic novels? Are you obsessed with something (a TV show maybe?) Do you work in a geeky field? Do you play rpgs like Dungeons and Dragons? Would you like gifts related to any of these? I am a total geek! I love graphic novels, but I only actually own one (first Sandman volume signed by Neil Gaiman! ) I love Dr. Who, comic books, Rogue from the X-Men, Iron Man, Cthulhu, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, and all that stuffs! I did play a Firefly RPG once, but I majorly failed at it.   Do you like poetry? Yes! Don't read it much though.   Do you have a favorite fabric? If someone were to make you a fabric item, would you prefer it be out of any fabric? e.g. velvet, satin, silk, cotton, bamboo??? I LOVE how soft bamboo is!! I love silk too as well as pretty brocades!   What periods of art do you love most? Like, if someone was going to get you a tapestry or a box or some other item, what period would you want it to most resonate with? the pinks and golds of Rococo? the clean geometry of Art Deco? The romanticism of Art Nouveux? The strange lines of Cubism?   Anything with the Worm Moon update that you're already lusting after? I'd like to try Minamoto no Yorimisu Spider one, but I am not sure how it would turn out on me. Same goes for the coconut one.   If your Witch lived near you, would you be happy or creeped out to get a "coupon" for a service like cleaning help or babysitting or dogwalking or coffee out with your Witch or something like that? Would you be creeped out if a local minion personally delivered a package to your house from a far-away Witch?   Household/kitchen goods/gadgets? You know what I have really been needing that sounds kinda funny to mention now? A whisk. I have done so many recipes recently that call for whisking something, and yet I just haven't gotten a new whisk since the stupid movers lost my old one in my cross country move. Same goes for my actual measuring cups (I think I only have the 1/4th cup one now). *sigh*   Let's say I have a pair of something you collect, would you like one of them and we have matching things? I think that sounds adorable!!   What three things are you craving right now? Well, I just got back from having sushi, so I fulfilled that craving right there. I guess.... (What bottle would you die to get your hands on - even a partial?) Jingo Kogo! Do you covet anything from it? I've never had much luck with scents outside of BPAL. Well, except for my few loves from Nocturne Alchemy! (Ozymandias is amazing!)   Wine?[/b] On the subject of wines.... That is one reason I really did not want to move away from CA! I used to live near all the Santa Ynez wineries and would go wine tasting every few months. Such an awesome time!! My favorite was always Bridlewood. Their port and late harvest wines are AMAZING!!   So Witchees, do you enjoy pre-1970 movies? If so, who are your favorite actors/actresses? I LOVE Audrey Hepburn. I think Sabrina was one of my favorites! I also love James Stewart (Harvey was awesome and Rear Window kinda grew on me), Cary Grant (To Catch a Thief, , just getting to know Jean Arthur (Yay for Mr. Smith Goes to Washington!). I love the Day the Earth Stood Still (the original). I loved My Man Godfrey, Singing in the Rain, Errol Flynn, Douglas Fairbanks, Some Like it Hot, Marilyn Monroe.... Hee hee! I like the one Meilin posted!! I have never been too much in to webcomics since i just forget to go back and read them... I wouldn't mind a link though!   Easter Candy - do you like it? If so, what types? I LOVE candy! Caramel Cadbury eggs are definitely some of my favorites, though I do like the creme ones as well. Uuuuuuh, I also like the large Reeses peanut butter eggs. I like eating the chocolate off first and then eating the peanut butter part. I can't think of anything else specifically easter. Oh, though I don't like Robins eggs candy or malt ball type candies. Just aren't my thing.   What scent(s) are you petrified of getting DC'd? I'll admit that it takes me FOREVER to finish a 5ml (still haven't managed to use more than 1/4th of a bottle in my time here at BPAL), so I am not too concerned about DC'd stuffs. I would be really unhappy though if Snake Oil were ever discontinued. No thanks!   March 16   For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? I wear lip gloss... I love natural-ish colors. Sheer darkish pinks or cherry reds. Shimmer is okay!   Are there any fancy/gourmet/special herbs or spices that you'd love to receive? ie: good quality vanilla or other extracts, vanilla beans, saffron, lavender, etc. not sure I would appreciate their high quality I have just begin cooking and am really not that good at it yet.... maybe if they came with instructions?!   What's your favorite animal? Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? I have been diggin' on birds lately. All birds. I just love watching them. I love sitting outside on weekend mornings with my coffee watching the little guys fight over the bird feeder   If you were able to get a vintage or prototype bottle from the upcoming West Coast Will Call, which one would you want?no thanks!   DVDs, Blu-Ray, both, neither? both! 2011 Spring Shotgun Round!

March 25   Are you interested in trying Super Villainess (from Villainess - the birthday scent that was just released tonight!) and if so, which item do you like the most? (Soap, Whipped, Smooch, Extrait, Smack...) Smacks and smooches both sound very interesting, indeed. And Whipped, I'm guessing, would be amazing. Barring that, oils are always good, particularly in decant form!   If I were to order you a Smack, which four notes would you like? I . . . don't see a list. But! Fruity (apple/pear, citrus, peach/apricot) is good. Leather is good. Cinnamon is good.   Would you enjoy receiving a knitted gift from your witch? If so what would you be interested in (scarf, hat, wrist / handwarmers, socks, etc.) and in what colors? Wrist/handwarmers or socks would be best! Any color for socks, things that show tend to be best in colors that go well with brown, black, blue or gray. That's what I wear most often.   March 23   Easter Candy - do you like it? If so, what types? Reese's eggs, the mini Cadbury creme eggs that come in what looks like an egg container.   What scent(s) are you petrified of getting DC'd? I have a love affair with stationary in general. There's not much that I really collect, but I wouldn't be against having matching things. It's kind of a cool idea. =D     March 18   Do you like poetry? I love nail polish - funkier colors are better. I saw a really shiny, almost mirrored silver one on tumblr that was awesome, but I usually only buy OPI stuff. I'm starting to get more into graphic novels, and I love Glee (OPI/Sephora has Glee themed nail polishes!!!), was sad when The Cape and FlashForward were canceled, geek out over Chuck and Castle . . . gifts related to these would be great!   Do you have a favorite fabric? Would this change if it were an article of clothing vs. a bag/pillow/blanket/somethingelse Aesthetically speaking, I'm in love with cross dyed Duponi silk, and if you get the right quality/thickness of it, it's awesome to wear or lounge on, too (but again with expensive tastes). Other than that - flannel, cotton, that sort of thing.   Anything with the Worm Moon update that you're already lusting after? I really kind of love the shirt, though I don't think the Lunacy itself would work on me. All the Holding Back the Night ones sound awesome! I'd love decants. What size/designs/colors would most interest you? oooooooo, any size. Usually earth tones, but bright colors here and there are great! I do a lot of SCA camping too, so pavillion-sized (for lounging about on) pillows are win, but probably difficult to ship.   purses? bags? What style/colors? I love messenger bags. I also love Coach and Vera Bradley, but they're a bit expensive! =D   Decorative scarves for hair and/or creative accessorizing? What colors? Anything like this I get tends to go in the dress-up box, which is actually pretty awesome given some of the activities my kids have - DI and Girl Scouts both sometimes call for costumes. My personal favorite colors are blues, greens and purples or earth tones, but anything's nice!   Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? I googled this just to find out! Oils starring my favorite notes are always good. I'd love to try natural deoderant, but I need a strong anti-perspirant too - I sweat like crazy. It's seriously gross in the summer. Home fragrance, anything clean and light would do (and that applies to anything, not just this particular brand/company) - I like fresh mown grass and laundry on the line. That kind of stuff. Well, I have a cat, I love bats, and both birds and horses are sacred to my patron Goddess, Rhiannon. SW Spring 2011 Questions!

Thank you for the card my dear Witch, my rather gloomy day has been brightened!   Sorry for not getting you my questions sooner dear Witch. Here they are   Here are the answers to questions asked in the Switch Witch Thread!   Baked Goods? Re: baked goods. I Looove them but I'm vegan for lent so depending on when they come, they would have to be vegan and soy free (allergies crrry). I do love all things cooked and related to cooking though!   Recipes? I adore recipes. I collect cook books and websites and blogs and love them all. I think it would be SO COOL to have like a handwritten recipe collection from someone, like their favorite recipes or family recipes or something. I’ve always wanted one from my family, but alas . Either way, anything cooking is definitely a home run for me.   If you were to make an order RIGHT NOW. What would you order? Hm, well, I’ve found the Lupers this year are actually all huge fail on me  So from the lab… uh, well I need another bottle of Miskatonic University… I spilled mine  otherwise I kind of lust after Sachs, so I’d definitely consider that as well. From the Trading Post, I’m dying to try Celeste perfume and bath salts, Kitty Perfume (french vanilla is huge win on me!), and Virginia Bath salts. I’ve never tried anything from the trading post, so I’d love to experience something fun.   What level of nudity are you fine with on items? Pretty flexible on this. I prefer “tasteful” to, you know, distasteful.   Would you like other kinds of gently used items that may have come from a garage sale? I love yard/garage sales, so I’m perfectly fine with them. I am however super paranoid about bedbugs (specifically D:!) so just make sure it is on the level that-a-way Also, I must say I prefer USEFUL things. I am not a “knick-knacks” person. I LOVE cooking seasonings. I have most of the basics, but I’d love to try some exotic or unusual spices or spice blends. I usually dress up as a zombie for halloween, and I will probably be participating in “run for your lives” a 5k running from zombies! Then maybe Pirates. Probably not ninjas. Except maybe Askaninja.   Do you like those little crocheted amurigami? If so, who needs to be emulated as one? I loooove these things. Sooo cute. I like animals a lot  but if it had to be a person/thing I’d love my wow character (a belf, I could provide screenies if this was possible, or my goblin and my fiance’s undead or goblin. I doubt it is even possible though. But it’d be so cool!)   Do you like wearing things in your hair? If so, what kind (snap clips, scrunchie, headband, etc), how big & crazy (lowkey, bigger the better), and colors. I can’t wear traditional headbands or clips as pulling my hair tight gives me tension headaches. I do love loose/cloth headbands in subtle colors, but I could use a little flavor in my life I guess. Little little clippies are nice too. But not my fav.   Piercings? - ears?? - elsewhere? I have my ears pierced, once. And as long as the earrings have no nickle, I like studs/posts or french hooks maybe.   Chocolate. With stuff in it? Are you more a plain chocolate lover, a chocolate and normal items lover (normal items being nuts, fruit, caramel) or do you like weird stuff in your chocolate? (weird stuff being curry, chilis, balsamic vinegar, floraly things) I love hazelnuts and almonds in my chocolate. I do not like fruit in it. I would like to try some “weird stuff”. I love caramel, Ommmg. I prefer milk or white chocolate, and rather dislike dark.   Minion Things I would want... I don’t know who does what, but I have seen tons of little things people here have made and they are amazing! Having something that someone made just for me would make my little heart explode! I like all the minion things I’ve seen so far, But I am really fond of Carwoman’s stuff, and maybe Catseyes stuff… if it is nickle free?   Minion Alert! On that note, I am currently making vegan cooking, and if anyone wants it, I’d be happy to trade/oblige for free. I bake and might even do some vegan candy if I can muster it up. I make some AWESOME vegan chocolate cupcakes.   For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? I prefer more sheer. I love lipgloss/balm a LOT. I love when it smells nummy and feels silky and good. I like subtle colors, or colorless. It must be NON STICKY. Makes me crazy.   What's your favorite animal? Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? My favorite animal is the north american panther/ cougar or the ocelot or lynx. I’ve always identified with it. I like all cats, big and little. I love parrots! All things fuzzy and cute have a place for me. I also like snakes.   If you were able to get a vintage or prototype bottle from the upcoming West Coast Will Call, which one would you want? Oh my! Anything foodie would be really nice. Other than that, I couldn’t say. Maybe Cake Smash as a pot dream… Paladin would be cool since I have one in WoW Elf? Or did that sell out. I’d love elf.

Generally speaking I don't, though my hair is long enough that I could. Flower and feather clips would be awesome for belly dancing though!     Chocolate. With stuff in it? I like a creamy lipstick in warm colours (I'm a pasty redhead with a neutral skin tone), lipgloss I like some opacity and just a bit of shine, and tinted balms are awesome. Easter Candy - do you like it? If so, what types? I probably don't need huge amounts of candy. I do like the Cadbury mini-eggs (the all-chocolate ones, not the ones filled with stuff.)   What scent(s) are you petrified of getting DC'd? All dcs make me sad, that I'll never be able to pick up another imp sometime. Silk Road was in the keep-an-imp, don't need a bottle category, but it sucks to know that it's the latest to have fallen victim to DC issues. Most of my top ten that are GC, I've picked up backups of.   Violette Market Update is up. Do you covet anything from it? Nope! (I'm also not gonna look.)   Wine? I like wine! Reds are preferred. And while I theoretically like dessert wines, the massive backlog of them in my closet tells me that I never actually drink them. Wine is a with-dinner thing in my household.   Paper goods, anyone need? including resume paper, and formal stationery as well as casual cards. I'm all set at the moment, though I do love notecards, so... I wouldn't turn them away.   What is a scent that you've been trying to find even a sample of for a very long time to no avail? (What bottle would you die to get your hands on - even a partial?) Hm. That's a good question. I haven't been *actively* trying to find them, but of LEs/unimpables, the things I'm most intrigued about trying lately (so even half-decants would work) are Banshee Beat, Les Anges Dechus, and possibly Sybil.   Is there anything in your life that you'd like advice or a "selfhelp" book for?: (ie finances, eating healthier, meal planning) I'd mostly like to actually follow the advice I already know to be helpful.   If your Witch lived near you, would you be happy or creeped out to get a "coupon" for a service like cleaning help or babysitting or dogwalking or coffee out with your Witch or something like that? Probably highest on the want-to-try list is an imp of Moonshine & Mist.   What level of nudity are you fine with on items? Ex: none, tasteful, erotica. What kind of items are we talking about? lol   I know the ?airre asked about gently used books and if you like garage sales, but would you like other kinds of gently used items that may have come from a garage sale? sure.   Do you like cooking seasonings, like the kind you can get in ounce sizes? If so, things you'd love to try out? YES. I especially would love to try whatever multiple different kinds of Jamaican Jerk / blackjack jerk seasoning that you might be able to scrounge up from your area. My local grocery stores have not been ideal in this regard.   Do you like any particular kinds of green or black teas or coffees that could also be gotten in bulk? I do like tea, especially black teas.   Favorite snack foods (and can they be from bulk section as well?) Macadamia nuts. Popcorn (airpopped). Dark chocolate. Boy, I think I need to get some more healthy snacks in the rotation, but apples make me feel STARVING which does not help.

March 21   What three things are you craving right now?   paper goods, anyone need? including resume paper, and formal stationery as well as casual cards. I think I'm probably good on these right now. I do like sending notecards, though - I usually include a note in my swaps thanking the person. What is a scent that you've been trying to find even a sample of for a very long time to no avail? (What bottle would you die to get your hands on - even a partial?) Hmmm.... I don't want to even try some of the so rares, I would fall in love, be scared to wear it because it would run out, and then it would be gone and I would be sad. That said. STORYVILLE. I have sniffed, and it is ah-maze-ing. Is there anything in your life that you'd like advice or a "selfhelp" book for?: (ie finances, eating healthier, meal planning) Vegetarian/vegan cooking, paganism/wicca, and knitting! March 19   If your Witch lived near you, would you be happy or creeped out to get a "coupon" for a service like cleaning help or babysitting or dogwalking or coffee out with your Witch or something like that? They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? I like sheer colors in all kinds of colors. The Burt's Bees new tinted lipbalm is nice for every day, and Lipstick Queen's Medieval is one of my favorites. I also love a bright red lipstick, and am always looking for the nice everyday color. That wouldn't have to be sheer. Are there any fancy/gourmet/special herbs or spices that you'd love to receive? ie: good quality vanilla or other extracts, vanilla beans, saffron, lavender, etc. Good quality vanilla would be lovely! If so, what kind (snap clips, scrunchie, headband, etc), how big & crazy (lowkey, bigger the better), and colors. My hair is finally long enough to put up, and I am enjoying it! I have seen some cute feather hair things on etsy - peacock headbands, I like the big flowers that are ponytail/bun holders, things like that. Dramatic but still work-able for not-so-long hair. Any colors are nice, since I wear mostly black, and add color through accessories (scarves etc) when I want to.   Piercings? - ears?? - elsewhere? I have two holes in each lobe, each tragus, and one cartilage. Also my nose. I really only change the earrings in my 1st earlobe hole - the rest stay in pretty permanently.   Chocolate. With stuff in it? Are you more a plain chocolate lover, a chocolate and normal items lover (normal items being nuts, fruit, caramel) or do you like weird stuff in your chocolate? (weird stuff being curry, chilis, balsamic vinegar, floraly things) I like semi sweet dark chocolate. 60% or thereabouts is good, and I like almonds, hazelnuts, caramel, and I haven't tried much weird stuff. Lavender sounds good, though. I do like milk chocolate as well, it really just depends on my mood at the time, all chocolate is good! I thought i posted this yesterday   surprise! the world has given you the day off. You hear that, no chores, responsibilities, or budget you have to follow. What would you do in those 24 hours? Given real-world contraints (no time travel) and the 24-hour time limit. I would drive from Sacramento down to Sausalito. I would spend the morning wandering around... have lunch by the water. Then I would hop on a ferry and spend the afternoon wandeing around San Francisco. And eat some sushi for dinner!   Do you have any blogs you regularly read? not really.... I love smittenkitchen.com though!   Do you need another bpal box? If so what would your fantasy one look like? I dont have ANY box. I have a hodge box of small boxes that dont really fit the bottles/imps quite right. I really need something for my imps. I dont have THAT many 5mls, but god how did I collect so many imps??? I would love a box that looks antiquey. Shabby chic? Or honestly, I would love anything that my witchy came up with! Who am I to stifle creativity?   Do you enjoy gardening? If so, what kind of stuff do you grow? Vegetables, flowers?I just moved into a new house and haven't really figured out the soil and whatever else yet. But i do enjoy growing flowers. I haven't ever grown vegetables/fruit. Actually--my boyfriend planted two small dwarf citrus trees so I guess I can't say that anymore! But anyway, I like flowers--Dahlias are my favorite, but don't grow that happily in Sacramento. Bulbs would be a fun present though! tis the season!

March 25   Are you interested in trying Super Villainess (from Villainess - the birthday scent that was just released tonight!) and if so, which item do you like the most? Kennedy (though many of you already know this I wish he were real and I always wish he was in the Resident Evil movies, but at the same time I'm glad he's not because I don't know if anyone could play him up to my idea. Also fairly obsessed with Sailor Moon (I her! I want to do cosplay some day) and Dr. Who, for the non-tv, I adore the Dresden Files (don't tell me there was a show, I'm trying to forget!) For video games I adore Final Fantasy 9 (only 9, couldn't get into the others.) Mario (who doesn't?) and Legend of Zelda! I used to play D&D but no longer. Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? Big cats, particularity Lions, tigers, jaguars, leopards, and the little wild cats like sand cats, ocelots, geoffry cats, bob cats. I love Shiba inus, and Akitas. I love ravens and crows, Owls, Otters(!!) and octopuses (weird, octopuses doesn't get a spell check, but Octopi does.) Ok, Providing there's endless money, I don't have to worry about sleep and I can get places all over the world quickly, I'd go to Japan and help with the rescue of people and animals in the areas hit by the earthquake and tsunami, in the last 2-3 hours of the day I'd come back here and get a full body massage, pedicure, and sit in The Waters.   Now if I couldn't just go anywhere in the world, I'd do what I could to help Japan from here, getting food together, supplies, whatever we're sending, and if we're sending nothing, then start getting people and supplies ready and finding a way to send them there. I like all of the Gawker sites...Food Gawker, Craft Gawker and Wedding Gawker. And Tastespotting. Plus a few that I check off and on.     And lastly... surprise! the world has given you the day off. You hear that, no chores, responsibilities, or budget you have to follow. What would you do in those 24 hours? Well if I can be transported to anywhere and not have to include travel time in my day, I'd totally want to be in England or Ireland. Also I would prefer something a bit classier and not porn-y.   I know the ?aire asked about gently used books and if you like garage sales, but would you like other kinds of gently used items that may have come from a garage sale? I don't mind gently used items! As long as they aren't stinky Do you like cooking seasonings, like the kind you can get in ounces sizes? If so, things you'd love to try out? I am just learning how to cook.... I would love new seasonings to try out. But I would probably need some guidance on what exactly I should be using them on. Do you like any particular kinds of green or back teas or coffees that could also be gotten in bulk? I have a ton of tea right now from a recent tea swap. don't need any more for a while   Favorite snack foods (and can they be from bulk section as well?) I love any and all potato chips. Dislike pretzels unless they are large and soft and dipped in lots of butter and salt. Love flavored nuts (honey roasted, wasabi, maui onion, etc etc). Like trail mix... especially when it has M&M's in it. Love crackers! LOVE sweets! Except anything with coconut. Reeses cups are my favorite. Followed closely by snickers, kit kats, twix, and andes mints. I love peanut butter.   If someone were attending Disney on Ice (Toy Story 3) with a bunch of Girl Scouts, would you want a patch/souvenir? Not really.   Would you rather have HUGE list of things your witchee wants to try or just a highlight list? I would like a huge list. I don't want my gift to be something they're obviously expecting   E-goodies? Sure!   Mix cd's? ... ehh... I'm going to say no. I wouldn't enjoy it enough for all the effort that people put into them.   Tim Tams? Yes or no? Chocolate Creme, Caramel, or Dark Chocolate? Yes! I have only had the ones you get at Target. But I like them all!   Is there any "classic" literature (Hemingway, Dickens, Elliot, Bronte, Hugo, Wilde, etc.) that you would like to add to your collection? not that I can think of.   candles and/or aroma melts: yay or nay? yes! I have scentsy burners and I love regular candles too. I dont have any oil warming devices. And I think the scentsy burners can warm any soy wax tart. I prefer more of the "manly" smells (leather, wood, mmmm) or "clean" smells than floral ones for household scents. I think this is mostly because a lot of the floral scents bother my allergies. Which is the complete opposite of the way I select perfumes, in which I would pick the floral/green scents first. Confusing much?
