SW Spring 2011 Help!

March 25 Are you interested in trying Super Villainess (from Villainess - the birthday scent that was just released tonight!) and if so, which item do you like the most? (Soap, Whipped, Smooch, Extrait, Smack...) I don't like Villainess soaps or perfumes. I have one of their smooches which is nice, and I've never tried smack. If I were to order you a Smack, which four notes would you like? Vanilla, incense, marshmallow and berry. Would you enjoy receiving a knitted gift from your witch? If so what would you be interested in (scarf, hat, wrist / handwarmers, socks, etc.) and in what colors? Sure! I like bright colors. March 23 Easter Candy - do you like it? If so, what types? mmmm, Cadbury creme eggs are my favorites. What scent(s) are you petrified of getting DC'd? I've been slowly buying all of my GC loves. I think I'd be sad if any of them got discontinued, but I'd be okay because I have bottles. March 22 Violette Market Update is up. Do you covet anything from it? Nope. What is your favorite type of wine? Would you be interested in trying something new? In that case, is there anything you really DONT like? Ooooo how about dessert wines? I love both red and white wine - favorite red is Cabernet, favorite white is either Orvieto or Sancerre. I like tart white that aren't too tannic and full bodied reds that are also not too tannic. March 21 What three things are you craving right now? Coffee! paper goods, anyone need? including resume paper, and formal stationery as well as casual cards. I always need post-its and little cards to include in my sales packages. What is a scent that you've been trying to find even a sample of for a very long time to no avail? (What bottle would you die to get your hands on - even a partial?) Always Fee. I have an imp and a half now, but I want a bottle (for less than $200!) Is there anything in your life that you'd like advice or a "selfhelp" book for?: (ie finances, eating healthier, meal planning) Hmm, maybe meal planning. March 19 If your Witch lived near you, would you be happy or creeped out to get a "coupon" for a service like cleaning help or babysitting or dogwalking or coffee out with your Witch or something like that? Would you be creeped out if a local minion personally delivered a package to your house from a far-away Witch? I think I know (and am friends with!) a few of the local, active BPAListas. I would not be creeped out. Let's say I have a pair of something you collect, would you like one of them and we have matching things? Sure! March 18 Do you like poetry? meeeeeeeeeeh. Some of it is great, but I am picky. What types of scents do you like to scent your home? Which do you totally avoid? In the spring, I like fresh clean scents - citrus, lavender, "ocean" ... in the fall/winter, I like baked goods - apple cider, cookies, pie. How do you feel about nail polish? What colors do you like? Sparkles? I like it on my toeses in the summertime. Any color is fine. Household/kitchen goods/gadgets? the boyfriend is more the cook, but I love a good novelty item. Ok geek check - what sort of geeky things do you do? Do you read comics/graphic novels? Are you obsessed with something (a TV show maybe?) Do you work in a geeky field? Do you play rpgs like Dungeons and Dragons? Would you like gifts related to any of these? I answered the comics question already. You know what my job is from my questionnaire. I'm definitely very, very uncool and I'm just fine with that. Do you have a favorite fabric? If someone were to make you a fabric item, would you prefer it be out of any fabric? e.g. velvet, satin, silk, cotton, bamboo??? Would this change if it were an article of clothing vs. a bag/pillow/blanket/somethingelse I'm generally open, but remember that the kittehs will leave their fur on everything. Black velvet is probably not a good idea in my household. Anything with the Worm Moon update that you're already lusting after? Witch, I purchased already. The proceeds going to Japan aid convinced me to just buy unsniffed. I can comfort my wallet by telling it that I bought BPAL for a good cause. Comics: What an opportune question! I just finished watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel and now I've started reading the comics. I have all of the Angel comics and I am about halfway through them all, but I only have the first Buffy volume. They aren't as hard to read as I thought thought they would be! I am more of a books-without-pictures kind of girl at heart though. March 17 Would you want an invite to a site that is invite-only ex. Diaspora, Demonoid, etc. If so, what? I don't know those sites? But I decided a long time ago that I'm borderline cool at best. Pillows? What size/designs/colors would most interest you? Hmm, I don't think that' necessary, but thanks. purses? bags? What style/colors? I love me some bags! I particularly like little clutches and things I can take out with me at night. I'm open as to colors - bags and shoes, I loves them all. Decorative scarves for hair and/or creative accessorizing? What colors? Still a black hairband kind of girl. Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? I've only tried their perfume once (it was a freebie from somewhere) and I wasn't into it. I passed it along. I'm not against trying other things, but sometimes I get overwhelmed with all of the product out there. March 16 For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? I love shimmer and I prefer sheer. I tend to wear warmer colors. I really like lipgloss, actually. My favorite brands are the sephora brand (the one that is almost clear, but shimmery), philosophy and Cargo. Are there any fancy/gourmet/special herbs or spices that you'd love to receive? ie: good quality vanilla or other extracts, vanilla beans, saffron, lavender, etc. Nah. Not much of a cook - that's more of the boyfriend's thing. What's your favorite animal? Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? Penguins are my long time favorite, but I've always harbored a secret love of giraffes as well. I have a book called Tall Blondes that is all about giraffes that I bought because I am, well, both tall and blonde. DVDs, Blu-Ray, both, neither? DVDs. No Blu Ray player. Sock Dreams? What kind? If someone were attending Disney on Ice (Toy Story 3) with a bunch of Girl Scouts, would you want a patch/souvenir?: Yes, if it were uber cute. Because I keep thinking I want to make a messenger bag with all breeds of cool decor. Baked Goods? Yea Nay? If not Baked goods and you are changing eating habits..a book of recipes perhaps that will help the new eating lifestyle?: I'm trying to go on a diet that gets the insides more alkaline, so am trying to cut back on carbs and refined food. But in the end, I am a stressed out college student, so would very very much appreciate small amounts of any kinda home cooked goodies. Yummm! I am not above indulging and LOVE homemade baked goods. What level of nudity are you fine with on items?: The human form is a beautiful thing. I am a fan of any level of depiction, as long as its not grotesque. Horror images freak me the eff out. Would you like other kinds of gently used items that may have come from a garage sale?: Lol, thats all my mom buys us these days, after discovering antiquing. New, used... it doesn't matter as long as I love the object. Unless its undies o.O or tissues. I still have a whole assortment of penguins stuff in my house since I determined at age 3 that I wanted to live in Antartica with them (had my grandpa all talked into it and everything before his stroke). Ooo BPAL soaps would be fun. I love arcana soaps too, not tried many scents (damn you queen crossbones for leaving me) but I like the texture. And on a daily basis use zum soap, frankincense and lavender, or clove mint. I like any kinda soap that smells good and doesn't strip too much moisture. Ooo I could always use another purse. I get in the bad habit of buying one a year and using it until its dead, then being in purse purgatory for a bit. Anything thats big enough to hold stuff. So not like super small, but anything a medium and up works well. I like ones that I can carry on my shoulder, if not over the shoulder (bag of holding style). I don't really know that much about purse fashion, so will trust your instincts. But I like pretty much anything that at least has one unique feature. And I am positively in love with my sniffie of Elf v 4 I got yesterday, though I'm trying to do what I did with skadi and bury it deep in my imp box so I don't think about it and can enjoy it every now and then. But I feel like I've read all sorts of things already and have ideas. I would however use a recipe/ recipe book for cheap healthy quick meals though. Beware of Redhead - The BPAL Version

My old questions/answers are here, and now...some new ones... Ok - questionairre sent, hopefully it's all ok. I think it was...soooooooooo assuming that it was, I shall answer questions... Would you rather have HUGE list of things your witchee wants to try or just a highlight list? Huge list. I like variety. Baked Goods? Yea Nay? Sure I just worry that Customs will snatch it away or it will be all stale by the time it reaches me. If not Baked goods and you are changing eating habits..a book of recipes perhaps that will help the new eating lifestyle? Recipes would be welcome, I'm trying to eat healthier, on a budget, with limited prep time available for meals. OH and my son is a picky eater...see what I'm up against? If you were to make an order RIGHT NOW (Not that any of you will make any bpal orders until SW is over, because you do NOT want to mess up any plans your witch might have!) Teas and coffees, I just ask that they be fair trade if possible. Favorite snack foods (and can they be from bulk section as well?) Nuts. Chocolate. Caramel. And if you combine them into one thing, it's soooooooooo very awesome. Tim Tams? I've never had one... As for classic literature, I'm pretty well set. My Kobo came with a zillion books. Ok maybe it was 100 classics but still. Mixed CDs - yes please, esp. stuff I can belly dance too. Hey Witch! I'm pretty sure you have your plan already, but I'm going to continue updates just in case .. plus its fun March 23 Easter Candy - do you like it? If so, what types? I love the Reeses eggs, and all of the See's eggs. What scent(s) are you petrified of getting DC'd? Obatala and Brown Jenkins, I think those are my most loved of the GC's. Vegetables, flowers? I usually have a terrible black thumb, but for some odd reason I can grow the hell out of African violets. Anklets or regular crew length are good. Since this is a price capped round, would you rather get one "big" thing or lots of "little" things or don't care? I always defer to my witch on these matters. Do you like pirate-related things? Kinda? I think pirates are entertaining, but I don’t really have any pirate-related stuff. I’m definitely open to any funny and/or kitschy pirate items. Pillows? What size/designs/colors would most interest you? Dear witch, decorative pillows would become nothing more than dog hair catchers at my house. My dogs are allowed on the furniture, and they muck up pretty much anything else that might be on the furniture. Purses? bags? What style/colors? I’m pretty picky about purses. I actually hate carrying them, so if I’m going to be forced to have one, it needs all of the correct features. I’d probably be more open to tote bags and that sort of thing. Decorative scarves for hair and/or creative accessorizing? What colors? I’ve never been successful making hair scarves work for me. Soaps? Be specific: if there are BPAL soaps you want to try or are dying for more of, tell all here! Also, any other companies people like or love? Villainess, maybe? Or Lush? What flavors?? I kinda have a weakness for soap… I have way, way, way too much, but somehow I keep buying more. My two favorite soaps are Moona Lisa and Paintbox, and I’m really jonesing to try The Olive Tree and Blackbird from Paintbox. Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? Sure! I’ve never tried Starring, but I’m always open to getting enabled. For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? I have a warm but pale skintone with pink undertones. Anything with a blue base looks terrible on me, and I don’t look all that fabulous in peachy tones either. I would prefer lippies that are sheer (shimmer is fine), since I put a lot of focus on my eye makeup. What periods of art do you love most? Like, if someone was going to get you a tapestry or a box or some other item, what period would you want it to most resonate with? the pinks and golds of Rococo? the clean geometry of Art Deco? The romanticism of Art Nouveux? The strange lines of Cubism? Hmmm… I don’t know that I’ve ever thought about my favorite periods of art, but I definitely have a preference for geometry and bold color. My favorite artists are Picasso, Dali, Klimt, Munch, and I adore mosaic art (especially the mosaics I saw in Russia). Let's say I have a pair of something you collect, would you like one of them and we have matching things? Yes, that would be really cool! If your Witch lived near you, would you be happy or creeped out to get a "coupon" for a service like cleaning help or babysitting or dogwalking or coffee out with your Witch or something like that? In my former life (pre-grad school) I was a hopeless video game junkie. My favorite games are big, open-ended, rpg-style games like the Elder Scroll series, Fallout, the Tales series (Tales of Symphonia,ect), Bioware games… I also LOVE the Legend of Zelda series. I would be so excited to receive anything video game related! As for work, I am in the radiation industry and there’s plenty of geekdom there. Yes, I am a complete geek. I’m way more into color and pattern than the type of material. Although, a silk pillow or blanket might be very nice… Anything with the Worm Moon update that you're already lusting after? Yeah, pretty much everything. All of the ‘Holding Back the Night’ scents sound divine except for Lord Teishin – I just don’t like citrus. What scent(s) are you petrified of getting DC'd? Queen of Hearts, 51, New Orleans, Bow & Crown of Conquest Violette Market Update is up. Do you covet anything from it? Banshee sounds really interesting! What is your favorite type of wine? Would you be interested in trying something new? In that case, is there anything you really DONT like? Ooooo how about dessert wines? Oh I could go on all day… My favorite white wine is Viognier in a landslide, while reds are harder to pin down (I generally prefer red over white). I’m loving Norton right now, but it’s pretty hard to find, so I guess I’ll go with Malbec, Shiraz, and Carmanere for my favorite reds. I also love a good Pinot Noir, but it seems like it’s hard to find a good quality Pinot these days. I am very, very interested in trying new varietals, and unusual blends of traditional varietals. Overall, it’s very hard to go wrong with wine. The only wine I really dislike is Chenin Blanc, and I can’t do dessert wines due to the high sugar content. Witch, although I love wine and love to ramble on and on about it, I live in a state with ridiculous liquor laws. It’s illegal to ship alcohol into Oklahoma without going through a distributor, so you can only send it to me on the sly. Wineries won’t ship stuff here. What three things are you craving right now? A day off, a day off, and a day off. Yeah, all I really want right now is just one day off. Paper goods, anyone need? including resume paper, and formal stationery as well as casual cards. (What bottle would you die to get your hands on - even a partial?) I have two: Hollyberry & Mistletoe. I would trade just about anything in my collection for a bottle. Bottles seem to be pretty scarce, since I don’t think I’ve ever seen one up for trade. Loviatar. I got a frimp of this from the lab several years ago, and thought that it was nice but not bottle-worthy. After it was discontinued (and my imp had aged a year or so), I dug it out of my imp box and promptly cried. Aged Loviatar is a thing of beauty on my skin. Oh nevermind, I wouldn’t have time to read it anyway. (Soap, Whipped, Smooch, Extrait, Smack...) Oh yes! I would probably prefer a Smooch or Whipped, since Villainess soap isn’t my favorite these days. If so what would you be interested in (scarf, hat, wrist / handwarmers, socks, etc.) and in what colors? Absolutely! A scarf or gloves would probably get more love, since I don’t wear hats very often. I’m not picky about color – I love them all! What scent "got away"? Anything you liked but swapped for something else and once in a while get all "I wish I hadn't done that" about it? I can’t think of any blends I regret swapping away, but then again, I don’t do much swapping. I’m kinda into hoarding. Do you enjoy pre-1970 movies? If so, who are your favorite actors/actresses? I don't really watch a lot of movies, and I tend to like classic movies even less than modern movies. However, I think that Vivian Leigh was one of the most beautiful women in the universe. I like Gone With the Wind a lot, and she was just so stunning... I love My Fair Lady with Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison. Elizabeth Taylor's National Velvet is a sentimental favorite, since I watched it a lot as a kid Would you be squicked if I made you something with a kiss print that was made with my actual lips? I’m cool with that. What is the coolest thing you have recently bought or been given that wouldn't exceed the price cap? porcelina gave me an awesome cross stitch of an anatomical heart for the Be My Valentine swap. Journals? You know what would be much better for me than journals? College-ruled spiral notebooks. I truly use a lot of those, while nice journals just sit around looking pretty and collecting dust. Rocks? I would love to receive rocks that are native to my witchee’s area! Do people like Roller Derby? If so, would you want anything from that sport? Like memorabilia or anything? Eh, not really. I don't think I'd like the album, or anything, but I am really starting to like that song . . . . . . . and Adele. I am mad crazy about Adele. I have cleaned up the previous witch blogs to keep them as concise as I can manage! Check out SW 3.5 for the alligator clips - those the the thing I wish most for in all the world & have such trouble finding! syrenmyst found me several black ones (eeee!) but if you come across some colorful ones or anything, I'm still collecting - just not in desperate need anymore! Kiddo - now 2 and 7 months - still loves Turtles and also Dora, Bear in the Big Blue House, Between the Lions & Veggietales. I am still experimenting with Lavender in foods & drinks. OH - I have never had the chance to try one of those bath bomb thingies. I know Lush sells them, but any other variation would be loved just as much! Homemade treats & recipes are awesome! And I love knits and any homemade stuff. All my wishlists are really just help for you to get an idea of what I like. You can make - or have a minion make - something or go with a different (cheaper) brand, or whatever. For instance - I marked Dagoba and Divine chocolates. I love 'em, they are amazing and have the added benefit of being Fair Trade/"green" but that doesn't mean that I won't enjoy a bar of Ghirdelli (sp?) or something else that's more like $1 a bar rather than $3-5 a bar What level of nudity are you fine with on items? Living with parents atm and have a 2 year old, so I'm a bit cautious on the nudity or naughty things. If for some reason you think I'd really like it & it can be somewhat disguised/covered up for the general mailing purposes, go ahead, but CAUTION is a key word here! GENTLY USED ITEMS Thrift stores, garage sales, whatever, have at it! As long as throwing it the wash or wiping it with a wet rag will take care of things, I'm good to go. (Daughter wears size 3T[ kid shoes 8] and I wear M/L [12/14 and size 7.5 shoes]) Puzzles, toys, books, clothes, DVDs, CD's, whatever! And if you or a relative or a neighbor have any Fischer Price Little People lying around unloved in a basement/garage . .. . Do you like cooking seasonings, like the kind you can get in ounce sizes? Sure! (check my etsy wishlist) any kind of thyme, basil, garlic, cumin . . . or surprise me with anything BUT peppers! I do, however, use an oil warmer in the bathroom on occasion, when I have time to really soak & know that the 2 year-old isn't likely to come in ... What would you order (from lab, forum, DD, TradingPost, etc) I would probably order Lemon Scented Sticky Bat or some of the BPTP Courtesans. And Spanked. And anything that I haven't ordered yet, like the new LE bath oils and room spray. Do you like cooking seasonings, like the kind you can get in ounces sizes? If so, things you'd love to try out? I'm pretty set on seasonings right now but maybe some really interesting ones would be fun? I always see all of the different colored/variety salts and speciality things but don't purchase them. My favorite right now is an anise black tea that my friend sent me from Germany!! I'm sure it could be purchased in a larger size (mine is 2oz?) but I'm not sure where from. Lately my fav snack foods are the fruit/nut mix from Costco. Except I pick out the walnuts because I really don't like them! But the dogs do. It depends on the item I guess! I have no room for artwork yet, but when I do I will probably be getting BDSM themed artwork for the bedroom. In which case nudity is perfect. They should smell the best too, like the sea and sky, wood, leather... (I expect my pirates to bathe regularly and not drink too much rum.) Do you like wearing things in your hair? If so, what kind (snap clips, scrunchie, headband, etc), how big & crazy (lowkey, bigger the better), and colors. I have mostly shaved hair but I do wear a plastic toothy headband to keep my bangs out of my eyes at work and I have some barettes/clips on my etsy favs. I would love to have more dreadfalls -- need a big wide cloth headband and some goggles to go with them. I have some black and white yarn dreadfalls but they are really heavy and don't stay on well. colors? black, purple... Piercings? - ears?? - elsewhere? I had five holes in my ears (two in the lobes on each side and one up at the top) but I took them all out except one in each lobe. They're probably healed by now - I might need to get them repierced. I don't really wear a lot of tint or gloss, mostly just lip balm. Shimmer is ok! It's all about consistency for me... I don't like a balm to be sticky (gloss) or too slick. I do like the Lip Venom even though it's on the sticky glossy side. One of my favorite balms lately is Bunny Butt Apothocary (I get mine through the Soap Box Company.) I have been lusting over getting more from Better Botanicals for a while; they used to carry them at our local co-op but I can't find them anywhere (except online) now. What's your favorite animal? I like stripey socks but I like my socks to be a little on the thick side since I wear a lot of converse, docs, and unisex fluevogs. I don't wear very many girly shoes so thin socks tend to get holes immediately. I also prefer natural fibers to acrylics (I don't mind having a little nylon for stretch, but I prefer socks to be 70-80% natural fiber.) Since this is a price capped round, would you rather get one "big" thing or lots of "little" things or don't care? I prefer quality over quantity (especially for things like candles, chocolates, yarn, etc.) but I believe you can find a lot of small reasonably priced things that are high quality. So I'll leave it up to my Witch! I'm hoping to do a lot of smaller yet high quality things for my Witchee because I think it's fun to get lots of little packages. But you know, it's also (for me at least) about the contact and knowing someone is getting to know you and paying attention to you. What? Attention hoar?? Sometimes I don't feel chatty back but I like being poked, even if it's just saying hi. Postcards and e-mail don't cost that much! Do you like pirate-related things? But of course! I love going to Archie McPhee and getting a ton of pirate-y things. I have the lunch box, apron, bath curtain, bath mat, garbage can, pirate devil duckies, mints, air fresheners, etc. Soaps? I will admit that I would like to try the Snake Oil soap, as well as the one I can't pronounce.. Otherwise my soap coffers, as it were, are overflowing with bar soap. I make bar soap myself so I usually have a good supply on hand. (HA HA) I'm even totally good on shower gel. I would, however, love to have more scrubs, both oily sugar/salt and cleansing ones, like smacks. I love the Arcana scrubs, Villainess scrubs and smacks, Paintbox Soapworks Sorbettos (I have quite a few on my etsy list!), etc. What periods of art do you love most? Like, if someone was going to get you a tapestry or a box or some other item, what period would you want it to most resonate with? the pinks and golds of Rococo? the clean geometry of Art Deco? The romanticism of Art Nouveux? The strange lines of Cubism? I was always the science geek, not the art geek. So sorry, I am not into periods and don't have any interest in knowing art by period or genre or whatever. I know what I like when I see it and I like a LARGE variety of things. But I'm pretty consistent with my likes and I think I've already stated them enough times and given examples of some pieces I like, pointed people to my etsy favs, etc. I tend to like things with hues of silver, grey, black, blue, purple, dark green, dark red/wine/burgundy, bluish pinks, etc. I am not a fan of *anything* that is mostly copper/bronze/gold/yellow/orange/brown or pastels. This goes for jewelry, clothes, yarn, art, cars, mugs, boxes, tapestries, etc. -- really it's pretty universal. Would you like caffeinated lollipops? No thanks! I actually mostly stopped drinking coffee and only do a couple of mugs of tea a day. I don't really want to jack up my caffiene levels. Would you want an invite to a site that is invite-only ex. Diaspora, Demonoid, etc. If so, what? No idea what those are. But if you think I'll like them, sure. Pillows? What size/designs/colors would most interest you? I use a lot of "lap pillows" to rest my ipad/books/laptop/whatever on, and I usually have a pillow between my knees when I'm curled up on the couch. Plus the dogs and boyfriend are always stealing my pillows. So... large to cover the lap and firm to hold up things. Black, purple, silver are the ones that interest me most. It might be easier to look at what kind of pillows are available at places like Michaels or Joanns and then send a pillow case to fit such a beast, though. I don't think the pillows themselves are usually very expensive. I have pillows with Ravens and such on my etsy wish list. purses? bags? What style/colors? I really like Namaste knitting bags in Eggplant or Black. But they're pretty spendy. Decorative scarves for hair and/or creative accessorizing? What colors? No thanks, I'm a knitter, my friends are knitters, my family has knitters. Some have looms and do woven scarves. So I get a LOT of hand knit and hand woven scarves as gifts and I have a TON. Plus I'm more into shawlettes (smaller shawlettes worn as scarves) right now and I'm super picky about my yarn (yes, I am a yarn snob.) I guess this is a push button topic for me because people just don't get it and I keep getting store bought mass produced scarves (not hand made) as gifts. While I appreciate that someone thought of me and wanted to get me a gift, this is not it. Please! (The only exception would be really nice silk scarves that someone hand dyed for me or the HUGE scarves/stoles that are mostly black with purple, blue, or red celtic knot motifs that people sell at Renn faires or farmer's markets.) Of course if you really wanted to send me a hand knitted or hand woven scarf, those I would gladly accept. But I could probably use hand knitted socks or wrist warmers more. Anything hand made or dyed is accepted with glee. Would you like anything from Starring Fragrances. They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? If you love them and you think I would love them, I am open to trying whatever! With the exception of natural deoderant, that stuff never works for me. Do you like poetry? I'm picky. What types of scents do you like to scent your home? Which do you totally avoid? The boyflame hates foody scents and cinnamon type scents (I weep!) but plain vanilla seems to be ok. Even though I have a ton of the BPTP room sprays I don't use them a lot except on pillows and clothes; I don't want my dogs to have to smell them all the time and hurt their noses. What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters? I'd love the Sandman collections in hardback... but those are way over the price range. I love old dos computer games (infocoms, sierra, the ultima series, etc.) I downloaded monkey island 1&2 on my ipad and finished the first one while my boyfriend was away for the weekend. I knit! That seems less geeky and more mainstream these days though. I still call BBSes (well, now we telnet to them!) I haven't scripted for a while but I *can*. I would like to get more into camera geekery (my dad is the hugest camera geek on the planet and is always giving me his cast offs but I don't know much about them and haven't really taken the time to learn.) I organize all of my books, cds, perfume, etc. and document it all on spreadsheets, scentbase, librarything, etc. Did I mention that I'm Aspergers? I think that is probably the definition of geek. I used to go to all of the Sci Fi conventions but that dropped off because I moved away to Texas, then Colorado, and just kind of got out of the habit. Plus getting older = less energy & more responsibilities. sigh. I don't read comics anymore.. I did read a lot of them growing up. I love graphic novels though. I think I don't like reading comics because they are too short and my attention span is much much much longer. Same reason I don't like to watch TV (except on dvd/netflix/on demand) - I don't like being interupted with commercials. I'm not "obsessed" with anything geeky (am I??), for TV right now we are watching Dexter (streaming on netflix, again for me on S1/S2, first time for the boyflame), just finished watching all of Lost on Netflix streaming. Started to watch Dead Like Me but the bf didn't like it. I have all of Twin Peaks on dvd and most of Red Dwarf (up to S5?) and have been watching Red Dwarf streaming from Netflix at work since the BF doesn't like british humor (WTF?) When True Blood comes back on I'll have to watch that every time a new episode is out. oh!! And I'm very excited about A Game of Thrones coming to HBO next month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love those books. I want a Game of Thrones "Winter is Coming" girly babydoll with the raven!! I saw some on the HBO Store website. I have worked in a geeky field as tech support or unix system admin since 1991 or so. I used to play RPG's... D&D starting in 4th grade (that was before it was AD&D ), Cyberpunk, Shadowrun, Call of Cthulhu, Paranoia, Paladium, etc. I met people when I lived in Toronto because I (1) called bbses and (2) played RPGs. Being a hot girl didn't hurt!! Some of my characters are used as NPC's in some Cyberpunk games and many of my Torontonian friends are listed as test players in the GURPS cyberpunk (I was as sick as a dog for many months and couldn't test with them.) Played Vampire: The Masquerade when it first came out and was part of the Seattle Camarilla originally but that didn't last too long because I couldn't stand most of the other people. I gave all of my game manuals to my son who is in college now and running many campaigns. He has tried a few of his campaigns out on me and Pixiepetal (my friend Lisa, she has an account here on bpal.org but doesn't read or post much.) I do love geeky toys, I have a talking Tick doll, many Sandman & NMBC dolls & figurines, etc. I just don't have a lot of ROOM for things like that right now, so most of them are packed up in storage. Anything with the Worm Moon update that you're already lusting after? Everything of course. I'll know more after Will Call tonight. If your Witch lived near you, would you be happy or creeped out to get a "coupon" for a service like cleaning help or babysitting or dogwalking or coffee out with your Witch or something like that? Would you be creeped out if a local minion personally delivered a package to your house from a far-away Witch? No, I wouldn't be creeped out. I'm usually one of the local minions delivering things!! However I do have a lot of depression and anxiety, so I'm not always "up" for going out and being social. Household/kitchen goods/gadgets? I could use another Swissgold Tea Filter. Anything I want is under my "Cooking" wishlist on Amazon. Ninja cookie cutters.. Skull & Crossbone egg/pancake mold... skeleton hand condiment set.. bone spreaders.. skull cupcake pans.. all edges brownie & lasagna pans.. ingenuiTEA tea maker, electric kettle, just to name a few. I can always use measuring cups and spoons. Do you have a favorite fabric? If someone were to make you a fabric item, would you prefer it be out of any fabric? Silk and velvet are definitely favorites. Really high thread count cotton for pillow cases. It depends on the item?? However, if it were yarn-y, my favorite would be MCN (merino cashmere nylon) for non-socks, and merino with a little nylon for socks. or Merino-silk blends. Or heck, merino silk cashmere blends. I haven't been able to afford new Villainess or Arcana from the latest updates and am not really a huge Violette Market fan. Easier just not to look. What is your favorite type of wine? Would you be interested in trying something new? In that case, is there anything you really DONT like? Ooooo how about dessert wines? Favorite type of wine is ice wine and tawney port (I think I already answered this somewhere.) With mead being my favorite really, although it's mead - not wine. Close enough!! I have tried to get more into wine and will work with my wine snob friends and do pairings with dinner or with fruit/cheese/bread/chocolate and I tend to like those, but I really just don't drink very often. I wish I could have more wine with "dinner" but since I work graveyard I can't have anything with dinner (breakfast?) and I don't feel like drinking a glass of wine when I get home at 8am. So I have it on special occasions. I have some lovely huckleberry mead that I've been saving. For staples I usually get Chaucers Mead, Warre's Warrior Special Reserve Port, Graham's "Six Grapes" Port, etc. mostly because these are plentiful and inexpensive. I can't remember which ice wines I buy, I would recognize the bottle. I usually buy from Costco or from the grocery store because, again, inexpensive. When I visit my friends in Portland who run Cocoa Velvet, I usually go along to the wine tastings that they participate in - they do pairings with their chocolate. The farmer's market has a booth with delightful spiced blackberry wine that I adore. I'd be up for trying something new, especially a new dessert wine. Easter Candy - do you like it? If so, what types? I love the Vosges chocolate bunnehs (especially Naga but I haven't looked to see if they have that flavor this year, I can just get the candy bar after all.) Cadbury mini eggs!!! Starburst jelly beans. What scent(s) are you petrified of getting DC'd? Snake Oil! O. Most of my favs are LE anyway (sigh.) Usually the GC's I love are for more than just scent: Baku, GRR, Bitch, TAL's, etc. so it would be really bad if any of those were to disappear.

Which do you love most? If I had to pick.. Ninjas. Although sometimes maybe Pirates. Zombies are not my thing, and actually give me nightmares. Do you like wearing things in your hair? If so, what kind (snap clips, scrunchie, headband, etc), how big & crazy (lowkey, bigger the better), and colors. The only way to function is to use something to hold my long hair back somehow. I've been using headbands (which can be fancy - I currently wear this one a lot) and barrettes (which can be fairly fancy). I really need ways to get my hair off my neck in ways that are prettier than a ponytail, as its starting to get too warm to always wear my hair down. My hair doesn't tend to play nice with bobby pins - the plain ones get rendered unusable after one wear and the pretty ones do helpful things like flip themselves over. I do have a formal military event that I'm going to March 31st and I'll have to do something to my hair so it's formal looking, so I'll be looking for fancier hair things or things that will hold evil psycho hair together for hours.. or both, for that. They have to have either a zipper or a flap (and the flap has to be well secured by something stronger than a magnetic snap), it needs to be big enough to hold my Nook+case, but not too big because otherwise I will fill with crap and make it way too heavy and hurt myself walking around with it on my shoulder.
