Bertha Mellish and the Missing Student
On November 18, 1897, junior student Bertha Lane Mellish vanished from Mount Holyoke College. Her disappearance remains an unsolved mystery.
I’m currently working on a book project that involves the Mellish case. Today it feels especially important to say her name.
Note: If anyone would like a (very brief!) peek into my current book project, here is a video of my presentation “Missing Students and Their Fictional Afterlives: True Crime, Crime Fiction, and Dark Academia.“ I gave this talk earlier this year at the Popular Culture Research Network’s “Guilty Pleasures: Examining Crime in Popular Culture” conference.

Would you like something embroidered my elf? If so, what type of design or theme? Also a standard hoop frame, on a tea towel or napkins (if so what color) or something else? That would be amazing, preferably a tea towel. I love the idea of a raven holding mistletoe in its beak but I also love Victorian Yule vibes.
Would you, dearest elf, be interested in some handmade hair falls? The kind I make are 1. extremely lightweight 2. made from up cycled and ethically sourced natural materials like silk and antique lace 3. completely customized just for you- so give me around three colors, preferred length and whether you'd like one big one (ponytail style) or two (space buns / pigtails style) These sound so fun, I would prefer one big one in blood red, grey/black, creme/white. Victorian vampy vibes would be the dream.
Would you be interested in homemade cocktail bitters? They do have alcohol, but can be used in seltzer or club soda in addition to adding that little somethin' somethin' to your favorite cocktail. I have already made rose, cinnamon bourbon, orange saffron, and ginger vanilla which I am happy to share or could also make something more bespoke in the next few weeks. Note- these are made with vodka, unless otherwise specified. I don't really drink so no bitters for me but I would use alcohol extracts for baking, something that would pair well with sugar cookies.

Would you like something embroidered my elf? Absolutely! I would definitely be interested in embroidered ornaments or wearables. I don't have a whole lot of wall/shelf space for display, though.
Would you, dearest elf, be interested in some handmade hair falls? I am not not interested, if that makes sense. My hair is dyed dark red and super short and I don't necessarily have a lot of places I would wear them. I do, however, have a teen who is into anime, manga, Hatsune Miku, and Genshin Impact, with related cosplay, who would inevitably appropriate anything of the kind that entered the house, especially if it were Miku aqua and more light weight than the long-ass wig we bought for Awesome Con last spring or rainbow or non-binary or aero/ace themed. They would probably prefer two, but one can't be picky when "borrowing" from other people.
Would you be interested in homemade cocktail bitters? Absolutely - I want to try all of your infusions and syrups and bitters, etc.

I love the ones from InBooze on etsy, which inspired this question and I would love to try others as well. I tend to grab gin and bourbon the most these days, but I have a well stocked liquor cabinet and any could work. I also tend to like mulled wine this time of year, so that's also an option.

I have the gin and sweet vermouth...although I should check the latter as it's been around for a while. I am always happy to get candied citrus peel, fancy cherries, and other cocktail garnishes as well.

It would be great to know what sizes my hibernator wears for socks, clothes, and jewelry.
I am kind of between sizes now, but can do XL in fitted tees, probably an L or XL in more generous cuts. Socks are standard US adult (shoe size is 8 in womens/6 in mens). I'm currently a size 14 in pants. Jewelry, I like most lengths of necklaces, other than chokers. Message me if you need specific measurements for necklaces or bracelets.
And do you have favorite types of jewelry/stones?
I wear earrings - everything from fun studs to very dangly these days. Anything that is intended to be more professional, I prefer hooks or hoops in case I get dragged onto calls without earbuds, but realistically, unless something changes dramatically, I'm self employed these days, so professionalism is relative. Otherwise, I like bracelets - I prefer flexible chain/bead sort of bands to solid bangles and necklaces of various lengths. I have a small collection of fun pins and buttons, but they hang in my room, I don't really wear them.
In terms of stones, I love anything sparkly, especially darker jewel tones - blues, reds, greens, and dark shimmery stones like marcacite or dark opals.

Sure! I would mist like something citrusy and refreshing, eucalyptus, or alternatively, sweet vanilla lavender, as I have started showering more at night lately.
Simmer pots?
Definitely not opposed. In terms of intent, general wellness would be cool.
Homemade jam?
Yes, please! As long as it's not made with low calorie sweetener. I'm not familiar with coconut sugar, but some googling suggests it should be fine. Just no stevia or monk fruit, as both of those aggravate my migraines.

This is has been alluded to in other questions, but feelings about candles/wax tarts/incense and scent profiles? we mostly burn incense in the house but have the ability to use wax tarts and candles are fine too...
I can handle super foody scents in the house (which I don't wear) and also any of the headshop/whorehouse scents I like to wear...
I am MUCH less picky about room scents than I am about body scents.

I will be going to the Pacific coast soon, and there are witchy stores (one with serious occult supplies, many handmade including inks, quills, books, etc), a HUGE gem & mineral store, a huge yarn shop, shells and way too much sasquatch stuff, also an amazingly diverse mercantile in Yachats, OR, and the Green Salmon, where unique PNW teas, coffees are sold

Abso-freakin'-lutely! Excellent question. I use some "Halloween" motifs, like skulls, year-round. and one of our fave art pieces is a graveyard. But, in this case, I would want my bat to simply have fun being creative! I am in awe of people with artistic skill! I don't have that gift. Colorwise, I'm not a big fan of bright, warm tones.
I make light-weight hair falls ( I can do single or double, if you have a preference for pony tail or pig tails)- I make them out of things like soft yarns, up-cycled silk and bits of lace. Is this something you'd like? If so, tell me up to three colors and a length in inches you'd like.
I think this sounds amazing, but I am too simple with my hair to incorporate something like this. Thanks for asking!

Milk, Dark, and or white Chocolate?
Yes to all! So, milk if there is stuff inside it, like praline, but not so much on its own. Dark either plain or combined with other flavors, and white is probably the same, though I have rarely ever even tried a plain white chocolate anything.

My favorite Disney characters are from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Alice in Wonderland. I think tiny little figurines are cute, or dish/hand towels that are absorbent (typically not the thinner tea towels). I am not very familiar with what's available at Disney, but but Jack Skellington, Zero, and the Cheshire Cat are super cute!

Candles - I prefer soy (or other non-paraffin wax) candles. I really love citrus candles, like grapefruit or mandarin, but have also very much enjoyed other scents in the past.
Wax tarts - I used to use a lot of tarts, but I am not even sure I have a warmer at this point.
Incense - I have not used incense in years. At some point, I dabbled with Japanese incense, but it's been a long time. I think candles and diffusing essential oil are the right home-scent-making choices for me,.
Scent profile: I really love citrus, like grapefruit or mandarin, for candles, but have also very much enjoyed other scents in the past. I tend to diffuse something like lemon _ cedarwood with a hint of spearmint or eucalyptus lately. My prior go to was patchouli + lavender + grapefruit + sweet orange. Sometimes it's just patch + vanilla botanical oil. Years back it was straight mint. I tend to get on a kick and stick with it for a long time.

Let's talk earrings. Pierced? Stud, dangly, hoop? Any ear wire preferences? Large or small? Other preferences?
Pierced - one hole in each ear. I tend to wear a paid of huggie style hoops much of the time so I can fall asleep and not stab myself. However, I am certainly open to options! Ear wire seems to need to be silver or steel if possible, and the overall earring weight needs to be on the lighter side. My ears seem to be sensitive-ish.
If there is something extravagant on your wish list, would you like one large gift and the rest of your gifts quite modest, or would you rather forego the lavish item in favor of more of a mix among your other gifts?
I appreciate the choice, but I really am open to whatever my ghoul desires!

Yum! Everything? The spiced nut mix sounds delish. Those petite pumpkin spiced cookies were an unexpected hit last year, and we only got to have them once. So, those! Pumpkin loaf and pumpkin blondie brownies? Yes, please (but probably not ideal to ship?)! Apple shortbread cookies sound amazing, as do pumpkin spice pretzels. I'm curious about the pumpkin hand cream - if it's not buttery, overly foody pumpkin, that sounds amazing, too!

You have made me curious about these stores! And, I am very drawn to gems, but not informed about them. That lead me to pick things based on colors I like. You have access to that info, but I am also open to your greater knowledge picking something with meaning/intention that is not all about my normal way of looking at things. Tea and coffee are so good, but my decaf status limits me. I do like herbal teas, especially relaxing blends like lavender mint.

My partner is getting into Tarot and I've been dabbling with her Rider-Waite deck. I also have a fantasy deck from a past 13 Nights swap, and I own The Nightmare Before Christmas Tarot deck. I wouldn't mind a gently used deck, or a shirt or some sort of art featuring the Queen of Wands design with the black cat for Halloween.

Candles - I enjoy candles. I'm on a self-imposed candle ban, so you do not have to worry about me buying them myself. I prefer soy candles with wood or double wicks, but am down for almost any candle that is indie and isn't from Sihaya (I have too many of her candles, and they tunnel).
Wax melts - I melt wax every single day and have five warmers throughout my apartment. I'm currently on a self-imposed wax ban because I have so much of it, but I don't mind if my bat gets some for me. I'd especially love Willow Waxcraft's Harvest Hayride wax melts, or the Fairytale and Putney Road wax melts from Paintbox Soapworks.
Incense - I usually don't burn incense, but I bought this coffin-shaped incense burner from Voltaire at a show just to support him in some way (because what I had wanted to buy was already sold out). So now I wouldn't mind dabbling in Japanese incense, but I'm not interested in my abode smelling like nag champa.
Scent profile: My scent profile for home scents is pretty much the same as perfumes, but I'm more lenient about notes that wouldn't work on me, except for anise and violet, and I don't want any straight-up fruity wax (some fruit notes are okay).

Their selection this year is pretty awesome.

So I don't really want anything with cinnamon, coconut, oak, moss, or oakmoss. That leaves out a LOT of their Halloween offerings. I'm also not a huge fan of florals or fruits, but I really like their vanilla, amber, patchouli, other woods/resins, rose, lavender, and musks.

This is has been alluded to in other questions, but feelings about candles/wax tarts/incense and scent profiles?
I love all of them! New place will have a huge jetted tub with lots of room for candles and good air circulation, I love beeswax candles and candles from Sea Witch Botanicals or other places that don't put a lot of synthetic fragrance or additives in their wax.
I have a few wax tart melters, same with the synthetic fragrance and additives.
I love good quality low smoke incense like Shoyeido but if you can find other good quality low smoke incense with a great fragrance throw, I'd be down to try it.
(I have major respiratory issues, so I prefer places who use really safe products in their candles and incense, like Sea Witch Botanicals. Not really, I never use them and they aren't usually large enough to see if my skin likes them or not. (I would need to use for a week or more.)

Let's talk earrings. Pierced? Stud, dangly, hoop? Any ear wire preferences? Large or small? Other preferences?
I think I talked about this in my questionnaire. Right now my ear piercings are closed up and I'm hoping to get them pierced again but gauged up (I don't know how large yet, so with a hollow needle at a body piercer place. So I'll be looking for larger than normal earring wire (but not huge) spirals and things. I'd prefer 304 stainless steel (if not sterling silver) or 316L surgical steel (low nickel content) -- please no 316lvm surgical steel as that has more nickel. Titanium is also supposed to be nickel free, as is Niobium (non-plated.) No color plating on anything, that irritates my ears and causes infection. I'm PROBABLY going to go with 16g as that is the lowest size available in most of the jewelry that I like.
If there is something extravagant on your wish list, would you like one large gift and the rest of your gifts quite modest, or would you rather forego the lavish item in favor of more of a mix among your other gifts?
Totally up to my sender, I'm good with both. I'm going to use the same caveat that violetchaos used on hers -- I don't have room for things that just sit on shelves or flat surfaces. A figurine of a bat, no thank you. A box or tray shaped like a bat? YES PLEASE. (or mirror, or --- Joann Fabric has garden stakes with bat spinners on them, I laughed, I cried as I put them back in the rack.)

Sadly my brain fog is a thing and I can't think of anything specific but I love this season so ... anything you think I'd like and would fit my spook.Tell me, my ghoul-friend, would you love to see things from these places (and what?) as you unwrap your gifts? I will be going to the Pacific coast soon, and there are witchy stores (one with serious occult supplies, many handmade including inks, quills, books, etc), a HUGE gem & mineral store, a huge yarn shop, shells and way too much sasquatch stuff, also an amazingly diverse mercantile in Yachats, OR, and the Green Salmon, where unique PNW teas, coffees are sold
I could use some rose quartz or blue rose quartz palm stones or towers. I could also use some more selenite sticks (at least 8 or 16 of them) to grid my new room(s). Or pick some palm stones or beads (or cabs) for intent for me. I'm needy, haha. (I can make bracelets or necklaces from the beads and wirewrap the cabs.)
I love coffee and have a grinder, so whole bean. Prefer dark roast and I don't mind flavored. Also can do k-cups.

a little "how it started, how it's going" breakdown of my Yule overindulgence
SpoilerBlind Bottles: I was so sure about these! but they were a very mixed bag.
😭 Carved Wooden Alchemical Laboratory: too musty/dusty, can't find snakes.
Gingerbread Oud: enjoyable but an entirely different form of oud than was expected.
Gingerbread Snek: a safe snek.
😭 Coffee Cream Pie: I struggle with the lab's coffee note, but I thought I would be safe with the chocolate and the sugar. sadly this one was all coffee and no chocolate on my skin.
Snake Oil Hot Toddy: mostly safe but kindof strange? I don't like it and I can't quite articulate why.
The Picture of Dorian Sufganiyot: ok this one was a gamble, and it is fun, but probably not one I will wear much.

Indie Perfume Collection [12/2023]
Here is my current full size indie perfume collection! I've been meaning to whittle this collection down, and over the past few years I really have! It's funny how so many of my favorites are perfumes from almost a decade ago that I still cherish to this day. Clearly I move through oils rather slowly. Over time I want to go through and add mini reviews to each of these since that will be fun. Here's to keeping this collection curated! Link to my bottle collection can also be found here!

🔶 Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab (17)
General Catalogue
- Eat Me - Gorgeous cake, earthy woody black currant, and a hint of juiciness from red currant. It’s round, intoxicating and not super sweet. Age has done wonders for this beauty.
- No. 93 Engine - This honestly has just gotten even better with age. Herbs, resin, besswax, and benzoin. It's golden, spicy, and rich, and it's really mellowed out with time. No edges at all.
- Snake Oil - My bottle is rather old so the oil is thick and gloriously terracotta colored. It smells of spices, musk, incense, and a sweet sugared vanilla underneath it all. A triumph of a scent that is best experienced with a light hand.
- Tamora - A warm, fuzzy, amber and peach perfume to end all peach perfumes. Sweet, a hint fruity, golden, and rich. It’s like a warmed summer day where you can feel the heat envelop you, but the juice of a ripe fuzzy peach keeps you refreshed while sitting in your wicker chair.
- Zombi - Dry decaying greenery, wet earth, and roses. It’s a bit powdery and musky. I used to love this, and in a way I still do, but that musky powdery edge is a little bracing. I will keep this for now, but one day it might make its way out of my collection.
Special General Catalogue Collections
- Hand of Glory (Carnaval Diabolique) - Leather and beeswax and a good dose of sandalwood underneath it all. The leather is so creamy and supple and buttery and positively frenched with melted lightly sweetened candles. A favorite comforting leather.
- Lady Una (Neil Gaiman: Stardust) - It’s just as I remember it, a comforting vanilla green tea with a healthy dose of a beeswax like honey and lightly spiced, lightly green berries. It’s a bit lactonic but also comforting and a little laundry like and fresh. A bit of a conundrum, but a lovely one.
- Temple Viper (Carnaval Diabolique) - Sugary incense, resins, vanilla, a bit of smoke, and patchouli. There is also an addicting, lovely, powdery champaca floral tone running through which keeps this a bit lighter than regular Snake Oil. I used to wear a ton of Snake Oil and Samhain, so this reminds me of my college days but it’s something I can still wear and adore!
- Wulric, the Wolfman (Carnaval Diabolique) - Cocoa and lavender with a large dose of vanilla and a hint of something herbal that keeps this from getting too sweet. Delicious and perfect, especially for sleep!
Discontinued and LE
- Celeste (BPTP) - Buttery, sugary vanilla, and powdery orchids. It’s very lady-like, and it smells like a lightly purple, velvety, powdery, floral marshmallow.
- Edith Cushing (Crimson Peak) - Predominantly vanilla musk and grey amber on me. I absolutely adore a light amber scent, and this is a stunning one. It almost has a sweet floral quality that makes it quite approachable. Not the most unique, but lovely nonetheless.
- My Little Grotesque (Lilith) - Vanilla cardamom cake, nothing more, nothing less. Cardamom and vanilla are two of my absolute favorites so this is a cozy favorite, and I adore that the gourmand vanilla cake note is the same as in Eat Me.
- Paduan Killer Swarm (2010) - It's sweet, cozy, resinous, and warm. The tonka and licorice are at the forefront when it is wet, but when it dries down the spices and woods come forward to make it feel a little less juicy. It's still an absolute cozy favorite of mine in a similar vein to the Soldier.
Halloweenie
- a World Where There Are Octobers (2013) - The initial blast is all bell pepper, green and dry and a little spicy. It dries down with a bit more of a dry sweetness (like maple syrup without the syrup) and a bit of fall spices. It’s still peppery, but the “green” aspect is mostly gone. Very atmospheric and unique.
- Golletes (2010) - Lovely, pink, and foody. Of all the foody scents I have, this is BY FAR my favorite. It's just delectable without being too heavy.
Yules
- Snow-Flakes (2009) - I don’t think there will ever be a prettier snow perfume than this one. Minty, slushy, aquatic snow, and something ethereal tying it all together, something floral I think. It’s a crisper, cooler version of Snow White. I am desperate for another bottle.
- the Soldier (2010) - This starts off as all red musk, black tea, a bit of creaminess, and gourmand anise which I'm assuming is the pie! No black pepper in sight! It's gotten richer and more gourmand over time and has this syrupy almost honeyed red musk and licorice pie vibe now, less tea.
🔶 Arcana and Arcana Craves (3)
- Astrid's Diadem (Discontinued) - This smells like a delicious lemon merengue with a hint of mint and something a little herbal. There is no cookie or a baked feel, just cream, sugar, a touch herbal lemon, and mint.
- Honey Craves Sunshowers - Golden glorious vanilla cardamom with an herbal cardamom at the forefront. It’s absolutely stunning.
- Vanilla Craves Crescent Moons - This smells like the prettiest floating fluffy milk scent. I don’t get any floral, just sweet slightly fatty lactones. Like heavy whipping cream, not butter?
🔶 Fantôme (3)
- Finist the Falcon - Juicy rose jam with velvety currant and a hint of cream underneath it all. My favorite rose. It’s lush, juicy, and delicious without going gourmand or fruity. Just a vibrant beating heart of a rose.
- the Fox Sisters - If I had to pick a "signature" scent, it would be this one. It's a cardamom forward chai latte, and it fulfills my wish of both smelling like a snack and being a snack. Perfection.
- Lycanthrope - Fresh, sweet, and sparkly from the bottle, but on skin a bitter, herbal, freshness from the tomato leaf starts to bloom. There is depth from the oakmoss and lingering sweetness from lychee, peach, and a dash of honey. Overall a gorgeous sweetened fresh spring garden botanical.
🔶 Mythpunk Olfactive (2)
- Mossmallow Puff - Initially the vanilla marshmallow vanilla is strong with hardly any earthiness, but then the earthy notes peak out and balance the scent quite nicely. I get a lot of rain, moss, and a touch of sweet amber. It reminds me of an early morning rain shower, when dawn is just creeping over the horizon, and you’re outside getting drenched in the rain in your prettiest white dress.
- Strangeling - This is an earthy, dry, mossy, matcha powder and oolong tea with no sweetness whatsoever. The matcha and tea drenches ink stained pages of yellowed ancient books with slightly vanillic binding. Still, there is no sweetness. It’s quite herbal, but there is no sharpness. It’s got a round warm and dry quality to it. Almost like someone is brewing a cup of green tea on a dry day. I’ve never encountered anything like this, and I love how the tea is not tempered by any sweetness and the journey the scent takes me on.
🔶 Nocturne Alchemy (4)
- Blue Egypt - The perfect perfume to wear to sleep and perhaps my favorite from Nocturne Alchemy. It's juicy but soft and sweet lavender and chamomile tea.
- Eternal Ankh - A cool floaty soft vanilla, mostly vanilla with a dollop of white amber. It’s a bit fluffy and powdery and definitely needs some age on it to become beautiful, but once it does? Stunning. It's a classic for a very good reason.
- Moonstone (Studio) - A slightly powdery marshmallow vanilla. It stays close to the skin and is very lightly sweetened. I suspect this needs age.
- Opal Vanilla (Studio) - Cozy, sweet, condensed milk vanilla that is more potent in the bottle than on skin. It’s sweet and lactonic and less buttery than I expected. I suspect this needs age as well!
🔶 Poesie (6)
- Comfort (Winter LE) - A lightly spiced, lightly woody, lightly musky, lightly sweet, enveloping vanilla. Comfort is a good name for this since it smells like a lovely cozy sweater and is perfect for layering.
- Curiouser and Curiouser (LE) - It's a fluffy and sweet vanilla with a hit of freshness keeping it from getting heavy at all. It reminds me of a lighter, fresher BPTP Celeste but without the "purple" that I largely get from Celeste.
- Emmeline Pankhurst (LE) - This is Poesie’s tea note with a heaping helping of cool, airy, earthy stone and musk. It’s a pretty, chilly, but more bracing version of their Twice to Tea classic. Initially, the earthy watery elements are strongest, but over time the tea and earthy notes balance each other out. It’s a soft crisp blend that feels both cuddly and invigorating.
- Poison Pen Lane (LE) - Black tea, berry jam, and a hint of something absolutely snuggly and woodsy underneath it all. This perfume is delicious, cozy, and perfect for fall. The berries are decidedly blueberries, and they recede a bit over time. This feels like a more nuanced, cozy, and grounded take on their Twice to Tea classic.
- Twice to Tea - It's a sweet scent that has bits of tea, vanilla, milk, lavender, and that sweetness that comes with earl grey tea. It's not super foody but is more of a perfume version of a rather sweet tea if that makes sense.
- Velvet Moon (Collab) - Initially, this smells like a whisper of a sweet cardamom vanilla. It’s so light I can barely smell it, but in the drydown, it transforms to this papery inky library scent. I really do sense the flickering candle-smoke and hardwood shelving. It’s incredibly evocative.
🔶 Possets (2)
- Black Annis (Halloween Retour) - Medicinal, herbal, and slightly sweet black licorice. Dark, inky, and absolutely gorgeous. This is the anise perfume of my dreams.
- Pavane - Cardamom sugar cookies! A rich spiced gourmand that is neither too rich and sweet nor too spicy. It’s a delectable combination of the two, and I love wearing this snuggled up in a sweatshirt with a book in hand.
🔶 Treading Water (1)
- Déchets - The prettiest fresh floral jasmine scent. I don’t even like jasmine, and I find this to be so lovely. It’s airy and pretty and warm and almost vanillic.

It's also that time of year where I make handmade soap (usually with calendula infused olive oil, tallow, oatmeal and honey) and candles (feel free to specify color and size, I don't usually scent them, but I do have a clover and apple scent I've been wanting to play with). I also grow herbs which can be culinary or magical. I'd be happy to prepare a smudge or dry some herbs for your enjoyment. I currently have oregano (yellow and standard), mugwort, thyme, sage (purple or garden), tea peppermint, chives, lovage, plantain, comfrey, raspberry leaf, and yarrow. I'm probably forgetting something.
Any of these in raw form would be great
I also make salves! My go to in an arnica, calendula and comfrey mix for healing wounds or chapped skin. This can also be used on pet paws. We do have barely enough time that I could do a custom infusion.
I have done this in the past especially arnica, callendula and yarrow, so I'm game.

I have a million all year round halloween mugs and am always happy for more (though I've banned myself from buying myself any more)

So Witchee mine, are you a spellworker? - any interest in acorns from a tree known as The Mother Oak at my Ren Fest grounds. It is the biggest tree I've ever seen in MI. It is cared for by tree scientists from MSU. It is the mom to every other oak on the grounds. Saturday is Mabon & I will go & gather acorns before the park opens to patrons as I do each year. But this time it's actual Mabon. So Witchee dearest, would you like some? Thank you but I have my own old oak.

- Japan is particularly big on their green tea and hojicha (roasted green tea), any interest?

Black oud spookied up with pumpkin puree, amaretto, scorched caramel, almond paste, cacao nibs, and honey.
Wary of oud, especially black oud. Also I generally avoid both caramel and honey. Interest level rating: 2/5

Would you like any of the following? (Maybe just remove the things you aren't interested in?): Anything that doesn't have peaches in it! I probably wouldn't use the mugwort smudge stick but I'm not opposed.

- Rose petal beads (if I manage to make enough, I'm gathering rose petals right now.) I'll probably put them on a string unless I have time/energy for more.

Would you like any of Cat Coven's Halloween goods? It's her original artwork based on medieval art. (It's a limited edition of everything, so hopefully things arent sold out yet.). Yes. Especially Alchemy and Chaos, but I love them all.
Candy: I like Chocolates with crunchy stuff, Reese’s cups, snickers, starbursts except the cherry, and sour candy the more sour the better. Caramel/toffee anything. Witches! I am excited. I just came across this Etsy shop and want all the flowers. All of them aka any of them. I came across them because of color wheel key chain or pins. So those too. I WILL BE ORDERING and wondering if you would like something from there as well? I know it's not very witchy but man are they pretty. They also have pets and beverages and other things but I got held up on the flowers and color wheels. Still exploring. Not seasonal aka witchoweeny: these are beautiful and I love bunches of them. I’m a BIG gardener and am just branching out into more flowers. - I make lightweight hairfalls, the kind that can be attached to a pony tail or to pig tails. They are good for those of us that are more tender-headed. I use a variety of materials like shibori ribbon, and puffy yarns and pieces of lace and silk. You can use them for every day or as part of your Weenie costume. Is this of interest to you? If so tell me what lengt h, what color(s) and if you want one for a pony tail or two for pig tails: I don’t have enough hair for these currently. Brujita- holy shit yes. That Tuberose hydrosol sounds tdf. Honestly, any of the skincare for combo or mature skin except anything with rose geranium or the cucumber hydrosol. They sound AMAZING and if you aren’t my witch, I’m going to have to order from this shop at some point.

Do you have any Halloween traditions? The whole carves pumpkins, gets dressed in costume, goes to a few Halloween parties, then we do blow out trick or treating (even though my kids are older teens, they’re still into it). The next day, we take out all of our aggressions on the pumpkins and beat them to a pulp with sticks. Some years we do more, but those are the ones we do every year.
What about Halloween-related fandoms? (ie. The Nightmare Before Christmas). I like vintage Halloween. 1970s and earlier back to Victorian era.

Fustini’s: The infused olive oils sound great, except I don’t think I’d get much use for the butter or sage and wild mushroom. I am a sucker for balsamic vinegar, but I’m not sure I’d use the very sweet ones like vanilla or chocolate. I’d try any of the other vinegars.
American Spoon: anything here but cherry. Seriously. All the jam. Yum.
Fudge: Chocolate, vanilla, and the caramel sea salt one look good. I love Greenwoodtree’s chai fudge!
IKEA: the tree lamp and wreath are cool. The plug in purple lights, too.
Penzey’s: there’s almost too much to mention. I use A LOT of Mexican spices, lemon pepper, Italian spices, Mediterranean spices, and Tony Chachere’s- anything good on grilled chicken would be great. I grill up extra tofu, chicken and pork and put it in the fridge and freezer for lunches and quick dinners. Indian spices are also very welcome. I use A LOT of vanilla. Since I’ve gotten a stand mixer, I’ve been doing more baking. I make a lot of Asian food. Not sure how authentic it is, but Korean is a favorite as well as fancier ramen from Japan. I’d love to get better at Indian.
Colourpop: I just do not wear much make-up. Maybe some tinted lip oil in reds and purples? I try to do skincare, but that kind of shit the bed when the kids went back to school and I haven’t been keeping up with it like my skin likes.
Anything of interest from Cellar Door? (They have candles and soaps.)The Halloween and Woodsy candles sound nice. Not really a fan of pumpkin notes in candles, but the others looked good! No bar soap, please. I am very well stocked and need to use what I have.

I dye yarn. Are you a person who crafts with such? What fiber, weights, and colors would tickle your fancy? Would you rather have two different 100g skeins or enough of the same something for a bigger project?Yes!!! I haven’t been able to try lots of different fibers, so I’d be good with a surprise. I feel pretty confident I can knit with any fiber. I’ve done cotton, linen, superwash, non-superwash, mohair, alpaca, silk. I have needles in lots of sizes from tiny to super-bulky and have saved patterns in all weights. I like either dark, moody colors (dark jewel tones) like Farmer’s Daughter or Malabrigo or dark colors splashed with weird neon brights like Hedgehog Fibers and Madeline Tosh. I like making clothing, so one bigger project would be my preference.
Provided my experiments work, would you be interested in a bar of homemade tallow soap? I promise I will not send you anything particularly suspect, so this is entirely contingent upon my competence. This is probably the only bar soap I’d want!

If you have a furry friend living with you, what sort of treats do they like?We have 3 medium-big dogs. They like any edible treats. Bandanas. Stuffed toys and squeaker toys are HUGE favorites, but will be completely destroyed in minutes. VERY hard chewers- like they destroy kong toys for hard chewers. We’ve never had a squeaker last more than 20 minutes.

How do you feel about stickers? If positively, are there any themes you'd rather not have stickers of? I love stickers, but don’t have tons of places to put stickers. Nothing is really off limits, but I don’t put curse words or ACAB related stuff on my car
What about crystals, cool rocks, and gemstones?YES. LOVE. I have a pretty decent collection, but am always interested in nice specimens, especially natural crystals. I make jewelry and have been more interested in faceted gemstones lately and anything made with jet.
How do you feel about Squishmallows and Squishables? (They have mini and micro sizes for those who like cute plushies but don't have a lot of space.) no thank you unless it’s for a kid and is a mini. My dogs destroy stuffed animals AND our house has 3 kids who collected stuffed animals. 2 of the kids still collect them, but don’t have much space for more.

would you like a scarf? If so, colors, length, iwide or skinny? Bulky yarn or thin and slinky?? sure! yarn weight not particular, just something soft and/or floppy, medium width? something lacy and decorative that's more accessory than warmth is also fun. anything just needs to be drapey because I have a short thick neck so I look ridiculous with anything tight up around it
How about some dishcloths, for the kitchen? Or spa cloths for the bathroom? If so, which? Any particular colors?? Either, whatever you'd feel like making, I use both. And no particular color preferences, but speckled yarn trips me out because it looks like stuff is stuck to it.

I make lightweight hairfalls, the kind that can be attached to a pony tail or to pig tails. They are good for those of us that are more tender-headed. I use a variety of materials like shibori ribbon, and puffy yarns and pieces of lace and silk. You can use them for every day or as part of your Weenie costume. Is this of interest to you? If so tell me what length, what color(s) and if you want one for a pony tail or two for pig tails. Definite interest! Ponytail, my hair is alas too thin to pigtail now. Length, I dunno, 20-24" ? I have almost tailbone-length hair. Jeweltoned colors to show up against my dark hair, reds, greens, blues, honestly anything as long as it's vibrant. I have a new dance skirt that's red, navy, and lime green tie dye so I would kinda love an accessory that jives with that.
During my recent travels I got to experience the incredible delight of Serge Luten perfumers here in Paris (imagine if the Lab and Anna Sui made babies inside a Cadbury Cream Egg decorated with stained glass windows and...you've come close to the experience of being in that shop). Anyway, after spending gobs of monies, they loaded me up with delectable samples of their insanely expensive wares- do you want some???

Would you like anything from Trader Joe's? (Pumpkin products are, sadly, not in stores yet, but they will be during this round!) I love TJ's, but I'm one of the lucky ones that has a local one. Never really tried their fall stuff though.

Is cashmere okay? sure, but handwashable would be better than anything that's dry clean only and I know some cashmere is that way

It's also that time of year where I make handmade soap (usually with calendula infused olive oil, tallow, oatmeal and honey) and candles (feel free to specify color and size, I don't usually scent them, but I do have a clover and apple scent I've been wanting to play with). I can also annoint and dress candles with TALs and herbs. Any interest? sure! scented or not, that sounds pretty.
I also grow herbs which can be culinary or magical. I'd be happy to prepare a smudge or dry some herbs for your enjoyment. I currently have oregano (yellow and standard), mugwort, thyme, sage (purple or garden), tea peppermint, chives, lovage, plantain, comfrey, raspberry leaf, and yarrow. I'm probably forgetting something. I also make salves! My go to in an arnica, calendula and comfrey mix for healing wounds or chapped skin. This can also be used on pet paws. We do have barely enough time that I could do a custom infusion.
I would use peppermint or chives as dried herbs, since I managed neither this year, and that salve sounds lovely.

I have a discbound notebook and got a clear plastic cover so I could put stickers on the opaque cover and have them protected. On there I have an Old Gods of Appalachia sticker, the seagulls have the Tardis (karen hallion I think?), an Aria Fawn sticker, a bumper sticker that reference my refusal to organize my life, and the 'I AM GOOD KITTY' possum. I love pretty stickers, too, and those get used for greetings cards and journals.

I think I had an autumn harvest tea from them one time that I enjoyed. If they have fall-themed savory goodies I'd be down for that, too. My pumpkin spice consumption in generally limited to homemade pumpkin bread.

So Witchee mine, are you a spellworker? - any interest in acorns from a tree known as The Mother Oak at my Ren Fest grounds. It is the biggest tree I've ever seen in MI. It is cared for by tree scientists from MSU. It is the mom to every other oak on the grounds. Saturday is Mabon & I will go & gather acorns before the park opens to patrons as I do each year. But this time it's actual Mabon. So Witchee dearest, would you like some? I'm not a spellworker, but I do keep a sort of altar with special nature things on it, so I would love an acorn

From previous questions you've answered, I know a lot about the teas you'd like from specific places, but I want to know your more general tea preferences. Black, green, white, rooibos, oolong, herbal? (guessing I'm not your witchee since I answered a lot of this in my q'aire, but just in case.
) I drink primarily black but like green, white, oolong...I like some smokiness, but straight lapsang souchong can be a bit much. I like fruit or vanilla flavored teas, earl grey, rose. I like herbal brews and blends as well, just nothing with licorice root or any other 'sweet' aspect. I'm also not a tea snob. I love my loose teas and have tea balls and pretty teapots but my default quick cup is plain old Red Rose bagged tea.
- Japan is particularly big on their green tea and hojicha (roasted green tea), any interest? Sure! I'm also a fan of genmaicha
- My partner has given me an extraordinary amount of rooibos from South Africa. It's amazing and I'd like to share, so would you like some? not a big fan of rooibos unfortunately

Would you like a scarf?
If so, colors, length, wide or skinny? Bulky yarn or thin and slinky??
How about some dishcloths, for the kitchen? Or spa cloths for the bathroom? If so, which? Any particular colors??
I am NOT a knitter, which makes me extra appreciative of the effort anyone who does knit puts in. I don't wear a lot of scarves for warmth (I have a thermal fleece gator that is my favorite for winter walks), but I DO wear them for fashion! I tend to like thin/slinky yarns better as they can be wound more or few times around the neck and look great! I also do like cowls, infinity scarves, etc. Best colors are always black (always), dark green, bright sapphire blue, or deep ruby red. Or a burst of orange and black! (Orange is my power color.)
Dishcloths I can always use and I have ZERO preferences on color for them. Spa cloths are less useful for me.
Would you like any of Cat Coven's Halloween goods? It's her original artwork based on medieval art. (It's a limited edition of everything, so hopefully things arent sold out yet.)

I can always, always use black, and of the Halloween specific I love Toadstool, Death's Head Moss, Gully, and Carnelian. I'm a little confused by their chart as I'm pretty sure I've always been a C, but their new chart looks like I might be an A/B? Did they change their sizing matrix? I can look at my tags when I get home tonight... I'm right and I am a C in Snag tights. (I went and looked at my old order confirmation emails!) I don't know WHY the size chart confused me. I think maybe I was looking at clothing and not tights? But yes, under 5'3" in the 6/8 range with a tum makes me a C!

I have never tried her stuff despite seeing the name around for years, so I'm not in dire need of anything...but am curious. I looked quickly at the lip butters and I would happily put on any of them, although Black Cat and Goblin Grog are probably the most "me" of them. The soaps looks pretty sold out, and again all of them look like something I'd potentially use, especially the (sold out) Hocus Pocus and Fortune Teller. I'm honestly not super picky about either lip balm or soap, mainly because I go through both so fast!

I don't really wear or display pins. I do, however, display magnets on my filing cabinet at work and most things that come as stickers or pins tend to also come as magnets.
I make lightweight hairfalls, the kind that can be attached to a pony tail or to pig tails. They are good for those of us that are more tender-headed. I use a variety of materials like shibori ribbon, and puffy yarns and pieces of lace and silk. You can use them for every day or as part of your Weenie costume. Is this of interest to you? If so tell me what length, what color(s) and if you want one for a pony tail or two for pig tails.
I have never worn one and don't see it as a regular accessory I would use, but for Halloween etc it could be run! Probably a pony tail is more practical for me than pig tails.
During my recent travels I got to experience the incredible delight of Serge Luten perfumers here in Paris (imagine if the Lab and Anna Sui made babies inside a Cadbury Cream Egg decorated with stained glass windows and...you've come close to the experience of being in that shop). It's also that time of year where I make handmade soap (usually with calendula infused olive oil, tallow, oatmeal and honey) and candles (feel free to specify color and size, I don't usually scent them, but I do have a clover and apple scent I've been wanting to play with). I can also annoint and dress candles with TALs and herbs. Any interest?
The soap sounds lovely as of the candles. I love tea lights, small votives, and tapers -- white is great, as are green, red, and black. Unscented is great, but I'd be game to try the scent you want to play with! Undressed is great -- I have a lot of TALs at my disposal and think dressing them myself is more effective.
I also grow herbs which can be culinary or magical. I'd be happy to prepare a smudge or dry some herbs for your enjoyment. I currently have oregano (yellow and standard), mugwort, thyme, sage (purple or garden), tea peppermint, chives, lovage, plantain, comfrey, raspberry leaf, and yarrow. I'm probably forgetting something.
Any of those sound really lovely. I've never smudged with herbs and would be game to try.
I also make salves! My go to in an arnica, calendula and comfrey mix for healing wounds or chapped skin. This can also be used on pet paws. We do have barely enough time that I could do a custom infusion.

I think I may have put these on my Pinterest when they first came out, but I'm most interested in Let Me In At Your Window and Nightwalker Soap and scrub, and there are still GC or older collection soaps I have not yet tried.
If you have a furry friend living with you, what sort of treats do they like?
Beans is prone to pancreatitis so he's actually somewhat limited on treats -- they need to be lower in fat. I give him things with chicken or low cal peanut butter (Zeke's PB training treats are in the pouch). He is however, allowed homemade treats, and most types of dry biscuit treats. Just nothing beef, salmon etc as they tend to be higher fat.

Complicated. I love Halloween mugs -- one of my very favorites was a big sparkly spider mug I received in a previous switch witch and that sadly lost all its paint in the dishwasher. I also still ADORE my Disney poison apple mug that I similarly received from a witch. That said, I just got rid of a load of mugs at the Goodwill because my cupboard was jammed. So I will say: I will not say no, but it's not something for which I have a NEED.

How do you feel about stickers? If positively, are there any themes you'd rather not have stickers of?
The only place I have stickers is my water bottle and travel mug. They have to be work appropriate.

So Witchee mine, are you a spellworker? - any interest in acorns from a tree known as The Mother Oak at my Ren Fest grounds. It is the biggest tree I've ever seen in MI. It is cared for by tree scientists from MSU. It is the mom to every other oak on the grounds. Saturday is Mabon & I will go & gather acorns before the park opens to patrons as I do each year. But this time it's actual Mabon. So Witchee dearest, would you like some?

I make lightweight hairfalls, the kind that can be attached to a pony tail or to pig tails. They are good for those of us that are more tender-headed. I use a variety of materials like shibori ribbon, and puffy yarns and pieces of lace and silk. You can use them for every day or as part of your Weenie costume. Is this of interest to you? If so tell me what length, what color(s) and if you want one for a pony tail or two for pig tails. I already have so much hair 😭 I'd try one for a pony tail
During my recent travels I got to experience the incredible delight of Serge Luten perfumers here in Paris (imagine if the Lab and Anna Sui made babies inside a Cadbury Cream Egg decorated with stained glass windows and...you've come close to the experience of being in that shop). Anyway, after spending gobs of monies, they loaded me up with delectable samples of their insanely expensive wares- do you want some??? sure

- I love pins! I love general spooky stuff (the witchy one you linked was gorgeous), gay stuff, rope/shibari-related stuff, and book-related stuff. If it's book-related, I love general book/reading stuff, plus things that are specific to certain books that I like (Fourth Wing, The Starless Sea, Six of Crows, and any Sarah J. Maas books)

I’ve tried their North Woods soap and their Ghost Smoke lotion before and enjoyed them! I love the sound of their Campfire Marshmallow body cream. Outside of the fall collection, I like the sound of Topiary and Snow or She’s in the Orangery soaps.

1. I make things from thrifted sweaters that I cut up & make things from. Do you like armwarmers? Long or short? Solid color ( elegant) or funky stripes made from multiple sweaters? Fave colors? Is cashmere okay? Wool & related blends? ( I never use scratchy wool for arm warmers.) Do you like buttons used decoratively?
- I don't use armwarmers!
2. I also do coiled & sewn rope work- it's functional art I wrap the rope in fabric & add appliques. I just had my first art show with these- bowls, trivets ( that can hang on the wall when not in use), coasters.

- I don't usually hang art or have space for decorative items like bowls (Japanese apartments have very limited space), and I don't even own a table, so coasters would be wasted on me.

Do you want fancy schmancy spices or spice blends? Do you have a favorite alternative source that you prefer and or recommend? I also grow herbs which can be culinary or magical. I'd be happy to prepare a smudge or dry some herbs for your enjoyment. I currently have oregano (yellow and standard), mugwort, thyme, sage (purple or garden), tea peppermint, chives, lovage, plantain, comfrey, raspberry leaf, and yarrow. I'm probably forgetting something.

I also make salves! My go to in an arnica, calendula and comfrey mix for healing wounds or chapped skin. This can also be used on pet paws. We do have barely enough time that I could do a custom infusion.

would you like a scarf? If so, colors, length, iwide or skinny? Bulky yarn or thin and slinky??
I have a metric fuck-ton of scarves! That said, I am open to more knitted goodies, but I'm not as open to all possibilities as in the past. So I'm mostly interested in thin, soft, spider-web-like shawls - like over-sized Stevie Nicks shrouds that I can wrap my entire torso up in, but suuuuuuper thin and open-knit, really, as much like a spider web as possible. Alternately, I'd love a cowl hood. Same deal- soft, thin, open-knit. No wool, as I'm sadly allergic. But bamboo, silk, banana silk, cotton and other natural fibers are all welcome. As for colors, black, dark indigo to match my hair or deep violet would all be fabulous.
How about some dishcloths, for the kitchen? Or spa cloths for the bathroom? If so, which? Any particular colors?? The only dishcloths in our house are Halloween-themed. So, the short answer is ok- but they must be Weenie in nature! I guess that means with bats or black cats or ghosts (this could be the shape of the cloths or a pattern in the cloths). Not a spa cloth, I never seem to use them, alas!

What are your favorite halloween/samhain treats to eat? Please be specific. I have access to various candy stores, including healthy candy lol. I don't like a ton of candy anymore, but if you're twisting my arm, I tend to like the Brit stuff, like Cadbury Fruit n Nut bars and Crunchie bars. Speaking of Crunchie, I also like well-made chocolate-covered seafoam, but be sure to check the ingredients- well-made will be naturally gluten free, but shittier kinds aren't always. Oh! And during my travels this summer, I've discovered that GOOD meringue *actually* has a flavor, and it tastes great! (who knew???) and ditto for French and Italian-made nougat. I'm not as much of a snob as this whole answer makes me sound, I just get sick from food so easily and it's only that I've had to choose higher-quality items to actually be able to enjoy them.

That said, there were others I really wanted, but didn't have funds for. Do you enjoy fanfic? I would be happy to write something for you, and/or read/comment upon/gush over thing(s) you've written, if that's something you'd enjoy... You know, I never got into fanfic too much. HOWEVER, I *am*, forever, a Buffy fan and it would be so satisfying to see a plot where Tara comes back to life / back from the dead and is able to reunite with Willow. I always hated that they killed off Tara and it was adding insult to injury that Willow's next girlfriend was someone as annoying and crappy as Kennedy.
Would you appreciate rare TAL decant(s) in 1 mL amber roll-on bottle(s)? It would honestly depend on which TAL we're talking about, cause I've got about 30 of them, so I'd need to know something more specific.

Homemade/handmade things? So far people have mentioned homemade liqueurs and baked goods, rose beads, birth charts -- what lovely ideas from everyone! I enjoy handmade things a lot and would be thrilled with such gifts this year; this goes especially for non-material items like emails, comments, and information, because I'm planning a move next year. (Also, just in case you have relevant knowledge: my spouse and I are targeting the Seattle area for our next residence, but how do we relocate there without going absolutely broke? Any tips, neighbourhood suggestions, connections, suburban or exurban areas that might have more inexpensive housing, etc., etc...?)
Knitting/cloth? Spa cloths for the bathroom, in watery blue shades, would be lovely, as would a scarf. I tend to prefer thinner yarns to bulkier, and I am participating in Hijab30 next Ramadan, so a thin scarf that could be used as a head wrap would be amazing - the purpler the better.
Cat Coven? The art is excellent, but I already have a lot of pieces in this style, so no thank you.
Green Salmon? Fairy Realms sounds amazing, as does Divinatea if it gets a restock.
Samhain treats? I wish I had specific answers, but most of the seasonal treats out there aren't vegan, so I usually don't participate in the foodie revelry. 😕 In general, the treat flavours I love are apple, spicy chocolate, horchata, chocolate-peanut-butter, chocolate-coconut, and caramel.
Snag Tights? Amethyst! in size D.
UK things? I have two UK weaknesses: the vesica piscis symbol that one finds everywhere in Glastonbury, and Tan y Castell brand anything. Unfortunately, packaged Welsh cakes and bara brith both contain eggs...but maybe you know of some yummy Welsh baking that's also vegan?
RedBubble? I've had bad luck with items from RedBubble, unfortunately. 😕
Japan things? Oh my gosh, food from Japan is always welcome, especially instant things like amazake and miso soup and packaged things like mochi and pickles. Tea ceremony supplies (like matcha and sweets) would also be lovely. Also, cooking chopsticks and simple eating chopsticks - particularly those lacking the paint/enamel stuff that flakes off over time - would be great.
VirtualCon? Vampire Milk, Recovery Room, and Ghost Lily/White Sandalwood/Ambergris all sound pretty.
Moonalisa? Shower gels, soaps, and lip balms all get a lot of use here. Her lavenders and vanillas are particularly wonderful, as are her trees; I tend to avoid her ambers, fruits, and sodas as they go powdery on me.
Australia things? A rock or a bit of earth/soil from Australia would be most welcome, as it's a continent I have yet to set foot on. Also, my spouse and I are planning a trip to Gallipoli in March, so if there's anything you want me to bring to the site, please send it along.How do you feel about enamel pins? Hair falls? That sounds very cool, as I have never owned or used such a thing! Purple, black, and/or silver as a ponytail would match my existing hair well.

Enamel pins! Specifically, the Etsy shop with all of the flowers? Yes, please. I normally don't wear enamel pins, but the Gray Muse's creations on Etsy are so gorgeous. I would wear any one of the lilac, jasmine, marigold, or gardenia pins.
Future Primitive? Vegan...bath...milk?!?! :faint: Also, the soaps look amazing, especially the Ghost Smoke, Black Honey, North Woods, and Protection.
Elderberries? Elder is very special to me; not only would I love elderberry syrup, but I have always wanted to make a futhorc rune set from elder wood and would happily take a fallen branch.Sea Witch Botanicals? Sea Witch is amazing. My favourite incense is Hermitage; I also would love to try the Mabon incense and the Vasheen soap.
Hirons Drug Store? A mood ring or mood jewelry, a rice ball mold, fun stickers for my computer, a pen that writes in several different colours, faerie ears or wings, and snacks.

Halloween traditions? When I still lived in New Orleans, each year I attend(ed) a public Day of the Dead Vodou ceremony and also visited my family cemetery. I still do light ancestor candles and perform a small service at home. And on a lighter note, I always watch The Garfield Halloween Special and sing along with his 'pirate' song...🎵 Sixty men all lost at sea, all of them drunk except for me... 🎵
Halloween fandoms? I'm quite fond of The Worst Witch, both the original movie (WITH TIM CURRY hahahaha it is amazing) and the Netflix series. I also crave vampire everything around Halloween time, so it's when I tend to pull out my Vampire Chronicles stuff (though I have yet to see the new Interview series).
Thrifted sweater things? I have never had armwarmers before, but I imagine I would like them, if I did! Solid colour, purple, would rather avoid animal-derived fabrics unless they're recycled/vintage/humanely obtained, and buttons are good.
Rope work? Not for me, thank you.
Cherry things? The plain Montmorency dried cherries would be delightful.
Fustini's? ELDERFLOWER BALSAMIC wooooow. Tunisian Harissa olive oil also sounds amazing.
American Spoon? The star thistle honey, rhubarb marmalade, honeycrisp apple conserve, or sour cherry jam would be particularly welcome, but I see nothing on this site that I wouldn't happily devour. Yum!
Local maple syrup? Yes indeed!
Fudge? Aw, if fudge were vegan I would want one of everything from this place - especially as it's on Mackinac Island, home of one of my favourite movies (Somewhere in Time).
IKEA Halloween? I like the LED string lights but can only find them listed in orange (whereas the ones I like are the purple ones in the picture).
Wild Soul River? I appreciate their statement about their crystal origins and would be happy to have one of their fairy stones.
Penzey's? I have been out of saffron for a very long time and would also appreciate their Pacific sea salt.ColourPop? Any of the chrome liquid shadows (especially Glaze, Same Vibe, Supernova, or Beetle), the Lav Dreams highlighter, or the Purple Aura lip gloss - I like iridescence and sparkles to an extreme degree, haha.

Chocolate? I have always favoured milk or white chocolate, with as much 'stuff' in it as possible; I loved Cadbury's fruit-and-nut bars, for example. It's hard to find vegan variations on those themes, though, so I just have the occasional dark chocolate-chili (another favourite) bar these days.
Mixed media art? Cool! I would enjoy this.
Music? I still own and play CDs in my car, haha! Otherwise, I just make YouTube playlists (username primordialmuse), and yes, I like music recommendations. (I also make playlists to accompany the stories I write, so if you're a fanfic person and want to recommend some fandom/music pairings to me, please do!)
Hand-knit socks? I'd love that. Allll of the purple.
Spooky season imagery? Barn owls and vampires forever. I also like fire images (e.g., crackling fireplaces, torches, candle flames, etc.) and 'cold nature' sort of imagery, like skeletal birch forests and grey overcast skies.
Astrid? I wish her scents worked on me. 😕
Homemade and preserved foods? Honestly, every single thing you described sounds amazing. I do prefer to avoid sugar-free variations and just go full-on sugar in my treats; I'd particularly enjoy the chile peppers, vegan fudge (especially if forest fruit could go in there), and freshly-dried herbs individually.
Witch hat? I would rather this go to someone who would use it this year; I'm working around Halloween and rarely go out, so it'd just sit on my shelf, and that'd be a sad waste. 😕Friday Tea? No, thank you.

SpoilerI am (still!) in recovery from anorexia, and October 14th will mark my one-year-out-of-residential-treatment-versary. I would love something that celebrates this milestone, whether a donation to the Alliance for Eating Disorders, some vegan goodies (that I wouldn't have let myself eat before), something I can wear or display, or whatnot. I'm proud to have come this far.
Also, October 20th will be my six-year wedding anniversary! Yay!

Nail wraps? I actually don't know anything about nail wraps; are they difficult to apply or deal with? If they're pretty easy, then yes, I would be interested. The Atmo and Aurora Borealis wraps are my favourite on that page, and the Fulcrum and Amethyst patterns are also beautiful.
Colouring? I like colouring in principle, but in practice I never actually do it. 😕Winter holiday things? Spouse and I both adore winter. We like to decorate our tiny porch with blue lights and an iridescent snow globe sort of light, and we try to add something wintry and luminous each year; we've been wanting icicle lights for a long time, for example. Mulling spices and all things mulled are also eagerly awaited. Another (weird) holiday tradition I have is eyeing Snow White every time it's released on the BPAL site, not buying it because Need to Buy Xmas Gifts for Everyone, and then pitying myself for not having Snow White.
Oh, and if you find juniper syrup anywhere, please send it our way; this household is STILL MAD that Starbucks discontinued the juniper latte.
