Zombi

My chemistry must be really wonky because lately so many scents are turning into powder on me.   It started out as a very sharp rose, as it began to dry down I could catch a hint of earthy scent, but it didn't last long. After a while it was a decent rosey perfume, but now that has even disappeared and now I smell like my mil (powder and make-up).   Oddly enough though, the bit I put on my cleavage actually kept the rose scent and smells better than what I put on my wrists. hmmm? Maybe I'll keep the imp and try again, but I won't be getting a bottle. Or perhaps in a scent locket it would smell better?

Xiuhtecuhtli

Wet: mmmm....a lovely blend of refreshing citrus and warm florals Drying: yum, the smoke and incense appears. The further it dries the smoke fades and a beautiful musk appears. Dry: It reminds me so much of Pele, which I love, but a bit sexier.   I must get a bottle!   ETA: After a while it just went generic incense on me. But I'm thinking it would smell wonderful paired with Pele.

Wild Men of Jezirat al Tennyn

So today I seem to be revisiting bottles (of hubby's ) that haven't been opened in a looong time. I did not have high hopes because I remember this being to masculine, but what the heck, I have to shower anyways. LOL   Oh wow, I was wrong. On me this is straight up spicy dark vanilla with a touch of earthiness. It's gorgeous. I am so happy we kept the bottle and I can't wait to see how it is on hubby.

Whip

Oh, WOW! I love love love this one. In the imp it was rather sweet smelling, though not unpleasant. Wet the rose dominates, but not in a sickly sweet way. it's actually very nice. As it dried the leather definately comes out and the roses become secondary. Wouldn't be my every day scent, but definately one that I would wear when I want to feel sexy. It's not a light "I want to be seduced" scent, it a definate "I know what I want and will take it" scent.   Hubby loves it. LOL   Will most certainly be buying a bottle of this. In fact, I think hubby already plans to.

Wanton

Wet: mmmm...a nice warm woody rose. Not at all the fake rose perfume scent.   As it dries the sandalwood and patchouli start to make an appearance, but not overwhelming.   This is actually a very nice blend. I like that it doesn't end up smelling old lady or too powdery/soapy.   Very happy I got the imp, but will have to try it a few more times before deciding on a bottle.   ETA: Well, after a while of wearing this, I guess I was wrong. Dh said it smells like his grandmother. Definately will not be keeping.

Umbra

Hubby tried this (I knew right awayit would be better for him, lol).   At first it smell like the rain incense we used to have. yum! As it dried it became darker and smokier. I love the cedarwood I can smell and the patchouli is just right. The cinnamon is very faint, but it's a truer cinnamon as opposed to the sweet candy cinnamon.   It's very nice on him, I have a feeling I'll be sniffing him for the rest of the night.

Tiki Queen

Oh wow, I love this! In the bottle it was a sweet, fruity, almost candy/bubblegum scent.   On my skin it blends into this beautiful, lush tropical scent. Finally, a blend where the ylang ylang doesn't take over! It isn't too floral, with just the right about of fruitiness, and as it dries something a bit green keeps this from going to sweet.   In my locket it is delicious, but in a completely different way. It is brighter and more fruity and just a bit more bubblegum smelling.   I absolutely LOVE it! Now I just need to track down more!

Tiger Lily

Starts out warm lilies and as it dries the honey comes out and the lilies fade a bit. It does go through a little of the typical perfumey stage, but overall it's pretty nice. It just doesn't last long on me.

The Wild Men of Jezirat al Tennyn

At first I thought that this was going to end up being too masculine for me and that once again another oil was going to huby.   But then I was pleasantly surprised! The vanilla and amber came out and sweetened it. I wish it stayed spicier longer, but it could be that I'm trying it on the top of my arm instead of my wrists. Now I'm going to go wash off the scent I tried before and I'm going to reapply it on my wrists. Either way though, it's quite nice and I'm glad I picked up a bottle.   (yes, that was the most useless review ever LOL)

The Star

In the bottle and wet: LIMES. Wow. Almost a bit sharp. Just a hint of coconut in the background.   Drying: The limes begin to calm down and a wonderful coconut comes out. Not foody, but not too sweet. Very nice.   Dry down: The lime almost completely disappears and out comes this beautiful blend of coconut and warm vanilla.   This is a keeper and I can't wait to get a big bottle. This is definately a scent to wear when I need a pick me up. It is such a happy scent. Makes me feel very optimistic.

Tezcatlipoca

Wet: Wow, COCOA with a hint of incense. Not sure about this one. Drying: the leather is coming out with a hint of the flowers. Not much of the patchouli. This is starting to remind me of a smoking room: deep, rich, slightly sweet but very good pipe tobacco and leather.   Not sure if I would wear this, I'll try it again, but I'm defaintely going to have hubby try this one!

Tempest

At first it's rather sharp, but as it dries it starts to soften, but the sharpness lingers just enough to add something interesting to the scent. Reminds me of when I lived near the beach and there was approaching storm in the distance and the air was charged and salty and a bit sweet.   It's very nice, though I think it might actually smell better on hubby. I'll have to try it on him and then decide about a bottle. I'm also worried that it will end up turning to soap on me, we'll see.....

Tavern of Hell

Hubby just tried this since I was assuming it would be a very masculine scent. Happliy, I was wrong. I starts out very woodsy w/a hint of florals underneath. As it dries, the gardenia and orange blossom comes out. Luckily, not much of the ylang ylang since it tend to give me a headache. Underneath it all lurks a faint whiskey and a bit of tobacco.   I really love this and can't wait to see how it smells on me.

Tamora

think I got an older imp because I got absolutely no peach (thank god). instead it is a sandalwood incense smell that dries to more of a powdery incense scent. Very nice, though I think I over did it as it gave me a headache. I will probably keep the imp, if for nothing else than a room scent. Or perhaps just a touch on the back of the knees so that it's not so strong and a little sexy.

Sybaris

Wet it's violets violets violets. Youch. As it dries it begins to sweeten without being too sweet. Also a hint of spice and incense. My nose must be off, because I swear I'm getting a very slight aquatic scent. I like it, but will have to try it a couple more times. I just hope it doesn't turn all powdery on me. I'm also looking forward to trying the second imp I have of this, as it's a slightly different color so I'm wondering if the scent will be as well.

Switch Witch Questions/answers

Anything on my Amazon wishlist (even if it's been on there for a looong time, are things I have not purchased. I do not expect my witch to purchase anything on my wishlist, it just gives an idea of what I like (and keeps track of things I would one day like to order). http://amzn.com/w/3F0132MYIB7XS Sock Dreams wishlist: http://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/QBNELTIXAOD0/ref=cm_wl_rlist_go   I also just signed up for Pinterest. My name on there is MsFortuneTeller http://pinterest.com/msfortuneteller/     2011 Halloween Switch Witch Questions:   the Lab on eBay? I haven't even looked.   VApothecary? Graver Raver!   Lunacy Update? Beaver Moon and Loi Krathong sound amazing, but I don't want my witch to feel like I want her/him to order anything for me. Just sharing my excitement.   Witchee, would you like anything from this particular Haunt update? Not really.   Who's interested in Halloween: Montreal? No thank you. It sounded good until the frosty air and pumpkin.   You get a package in the mail containing 3 things you have really wanted more than anything else you've mentioned so far in this thread. (they are all reasonably priced of course! ~$20 or less apiece). What are they? These socks. This awesome Doctor Who scarf. A skull & hibiscus flower coil bracelet from this shop.     How do you feel about hemp? jewelry, soap, etc? It's fine. I like hemp anklets.   Possets update: Not big on Possets. Describe your sense of humor. Dark and dirty. Sometimes silly.   #occupywallstreet? Sounds absolutely wonderful!   Reveal? I would like my witch to reveal, but it's really up to him/her.   Like commercial socks? Of course.   Is anyone interested in reading The Night Circus? I'm on the waitlist for it at the library.   I have a not-so-secret love for The Broship of the Rings. Are there any prints from her store you'd like? No thank you, not really my thing.   Who here likes Stephanie Pui-Min Law's artwork? I do. I would like to get her tarot set one day.   Do you drink wine? Nope, don't drink.   Witches, did you lament NOT getting one of the condom case/imp cases that got released with the courtesan series??? Yes, sadly.   If you were to go here and create your very own chocolate bar, what might it have in it?   Dark chocolate with crushed peppermint and ground coffee. Maybe with junior mints also. I am also very curious about what dark choc. and lavender would taste like. Maybe with some peppermint as well (I obviously like mint ).   Do you have any bedtime rituals? Is there any particular product you have to apply or a certain shirt you wear or an act you perform to get you in the "bedtime" mood? Not much. I wash my face, put my face lotion on, put on my Jack Black lavender lip balm, and try to read something fluffy (like a star trek book ) . I have sleep issues so it tends to take me forever to fall alseep, if I do at all.   What are you wearing right now? Let's see. Light orange and hot pink striped capris pj pants, a sesame street tshirt that says "All my homies are from the streets", and a glowing crystal cube necklace. Oh, and my glow in the dark, glittery skeleton hand barrettes.   I just got back from Busch Gardens HowlOScream and I couldn't wait to put on my comfy clothes. I am exhausted.   And I was so excited today! I have actually lost a bit of weight and today found out I could fit into 2 skirts I couldn't fit into last month. I still have a long way to go, but I have lost quite a bit already (compared to where I was a few years ago) so I'm getting there.   Is there anything you like or would like to try from Bath & Body Works? I'm not fond of most of their body stuff, but I do like their scented plug-ins. I can always use refills for the ones I have (nothing too foody, sweet, or pine scented, but I do like spice scents).   What about little wee creatures for your desk or mantel, like this? Cute, though really not my style.   So, are there any online gaming witchees who covet purchasable in-game items or other gamer-y stuff? (yup, geek question) Not my thing.   What is your favorite coffee blend at Starbucks? If you don't have one, what is your favorite roast of coffee? When I have a choice, I prefer not to get Starbucks. I'll drink it if there is no other choice (never been inside one though, they just have it at Busch Gardens).   Anyone doing anything cool for Mabon (or the start of fall, if you aren't pagan?) Sadly, not this year.   I just noticed that Cocoa Pink has 5 ml Perfume Atomizers. Yay or nay? Scents you would like? Scents you would NOT like? Never tried Cocoa Pink before, but I'm open to trying new things. Nothing too foody. If they have a nice lily scent, I'd like to try it.   Question: Do you like tarts? tealights? jar candles votives? I do, but living so close to a Yankee Candle flagship store means we have a ton. I do like the refills for Bath and Body Works plug ins though and we can always use more.   Question: What's your favorite flavor? Sour, sweet, bitter, salty? Sweet and salty (sometimes together, sometimes not).   Would you be interested in getting a gently used BPAL tshirt from your Witch? Sure!   What are the feelings on arm warmers? Color, style, texture, length? Love them, though I knit my own and have gone a little nuts lately.   What's your favorite horror movie? Omg, I couldn't narrow it down. There are so many sub-genres. I love stuff like Army of Darkness, Evil Dead, Dead Alive, Ed and His Dead Mother, Jack Frost, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, etc. (aka: B & C horror/ horror comedies, though Evil Dead (both) and Army of Darkness are really in a class of their own). Also, Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland, etc (aka: more well known horror/zombie comedies). Then there are the straight up zombie horror movies that I love: Dawn/Day/Land of the Dead, 28 Days/Weeks Later, etc. And can't forget the teen (or not) slasher/straight up blood/or just freaky as hell movies: Scream (all of them), Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, 2000 Maniacs, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Urban Legend, Phantasm, Hellraiser, Wolf Creek (one of the few movies to give me the creeps), House on Haunted Hill, 13 Ghosts... I could really go on and on, esp. when it comes to zombie movies (we even have a Support Zombies ribbon magnet on our car) but many of the ones we've seen are pretty out there. I think we've just about run out of zombie movies on netflix. lol   If your witch was the practical type and wanted to include one or more of your everyday essentials, what would those include? I'm talking about the bath products, lotions, face lotions, teas, food, etc that you really use every day. Coffee (decaf and regular), tea (any, I use it for both hot and cold tea), Jack black lip balm (the lavender and lemon ones are my favorites), and then of course stuff like toothpaste and shampoo/conditioner.   Jane Austen? Eh.   Witchee, have you made (or are you planning to make) any Lab or Trading post orders soon? And if you did (or plan to), you should share what you're getting Nope, not planning on any orders.   Arcana Weenies? Reign in Hell and Hobbedy's Lantern Perfume Oil sound really interesting.   Since the previous question about "what would you buy from the Lab if you had unlimited funds, etc" left WAY too much to the imagination with no limitations (my answer was pretty much BUY ALL THE THINGS!), what would you do if you found a $50 bill on the ground and a nagging voice in the back of your mind told you that you HAD to spend it on BPAL or else face Death. Also, say they had free shipping (LOL) so don't factor that in. What would you get? And spend it all! Or as close to $50 as you can get.   May I kick in $10? Then I would get: La Calavera Catrina, Ghosts in Love, and Mictecacihuatl. If I had to pick 2, then Catrina and Mictecacihuatl.   Name your 3 favorite types/flavors of tea   1.I tried a coconut chai one time that I loved and can't find again. 2. Rooibos or Green Tea (any flavor but peach, though my favorite is mint) 3. Flowering tea (any)   2. Name your 3 favorite scents for candles Have a good week!   1. Cinnamon (or something along those lines) 2. Patchouli 3. Mint   Is there anyone here who likes toe socks? You know, those socks with a place for each toe? Not usually (the sensation of the fabric between my toes drives me up the wall).   Would you like any ecotools makeup brushes? They're kinda one of my favorite things ever, and they're animal-friendly and the handles are bamboo. And to top it all off, they work really well for applying makeup. I'm good on makeup brushes.   Do you like Legos? Especially mini-fig key chains, Lego block keychains, small Lego sets, etc? No thank you.   Do you like Star Trek? Original TV series, films, spinoff series, etc? Favorite characters? Oh, definitely! I prefer the orginal series and TNG. I loooove me some Spock and Picard the best, as well as Bones (which happens to be my snake's name lol) and Kirk. But Spock is my favorite (Leonard Nimoy Spock). I do not like the newest movie though, even though I did like the cast.   Pumpkin scented things? Usually no. Many pumpkin scents make me queasy. If it's heavier on the spice though it might be ok.   Do you wear t-shirts? Are there particular things you like on them? Would you like one designed by your Witch? And, if you don't mind saying, what size t-shirt do you wear? I love tshirts and live in them, though I'm really picky on fit. I tend to wear women's large or sometimes xl depending on the fit, but I am starting to lose weight so I'm between sizes.   Has anyone else heard of or does anyone else love Glamourkin? Kinda pretty, but not really my style. And I really don't like things made from cut up books, I'm sorry.   Are you more prone to order out or cook at home? Would you be interested in cookbooks, kitchen utensils, and the like? If so, anything specific? I hate cooking. With a passion. Seriously. But dh likes to cook. We are probably set when it comes to cookbooks though and utensils.   How do you feel about maple syrup? It's ok but I never eat it.   I have a few things that I do every Switch Witch round, would you find that boring and unoriginal? NO! It would be fun to be part of the tradition. (:   Do you like beef jerkey? Um...no.   Anyone love Buffy/Angel? Like Buffy (at least, before she got whiney), love Angel. Not fangirl level though.   Do you like or racier ecards from time to time and do you need to be warned if something may be not safe to open at work? Racy cards are welcome, just warn me so I don't open them in front of the kids.   Creepy threshhold? We prefer creepy over cute, gore is fine depending on what it is. Just no spiders because that is the one thing my youngest is scared of.   Piercings? I have stretched lobes (0g), an industrial, and both nostrils pierced (all my others have been retired). I am very picky with the jewelry for my industrial and nose, so nothing for those please. I can wear regular earrings in my earrings (though my earskins) as long as they are hook ones or hoops.   I have a question. I have a couple spare Doctor Who stickers. If my witchee is a fan, would they like a couple Doctor Who stickers in their package? Oh my, yes.   Star Wars? Star Wars-no (though I enjoy the original 3, the others sucks).   How would you feel about receiving a Groupon deal for something in your local area? If there is anything you WOULDN'T like, mention that also. Probably not since it's a hit or miss when we can actually do stuff due to dh's schedule and not having a sitter.   Do you want anything from lush? I haven't tried a whole lot from Lush so I can't say what I like and don't like, but I'm open to trying things.   Would you be interested in a handmade bookmark? Sure, if it's paper. (:   Do you blog? Would you like a header for your blog, a layout, etc? I don't blog.   When you're miserably sick (*sniffle, cough!*) what are the things that comfort you the most? My soft fleece Halloween blanket, a comfy sweater/hoodie, some chocolate, mint tea, cold soda, a good book, and some horror movies, all while cuddling with dh on the couch.   What constitutes ultimate luxury to you? (go crazy!) ? need to think about this.   What do you really NOT want? Food (candy is ok though), candles, scented lotion (have so much already), cooking stuff, makeup (I have quite a bit)...other than that, I can't really think of anything.   How about little bottles of booze? Ya wanna? What kind? No thank you, I don't drink.   What are your views on fudge and brownies? (Also, if you live in a warm place, where the fudge might melt, that'd be helpful to know. Or, if you're diabetic and fudge is death, that'd be useful to know, too.) No thank you. I rarely eat that now as I'm trying very hard to lose weight again.   Also, what about mochi? Love it, hate it, baffled by it? I have no idea what it is...off to google....   Um, please no. If you knew me, you would understand.   Does anyone like kimchi? I don't think I've ever had it?   Would you be interested in a sample box(from somewhere like Birchbox or loosebutton)? I tried Birchbox and cancelled it (which was a nightmare), so probably not unless there was a yarn one.   Paintbox Soapworks - anything you're interested in, in general or from the latest update? I've never tried anything from there, so sure!   Do you guys have any sports that you follow obsessively? How about favorite teams and/or athletes Dh is a lifelong Eagles fan and had converted me, but with the whole Vick thing I'm pissed. So I would say...no.   How do you feel about notebooks/journals/stationery? Anything you need or particularly like? I don't have any real use for stationary and I have quite a few unused journals. I do like the notebooks that come with a pen and the color changes as you write. I think it's meant for kids, but I like it.   Fabulous witches and witchees, perhaps you all could note of you've received MeiLin's goodies? Or if you want? I think I missed something, because I'm not sure what this question is about? BPTP update? I'm open to trying decants of anything. Not the hair glosses though since they contain silicones.   You have to place a Lab and Trading Post order. Right fuckin' now. No spending limits. What do you buy? BPTP: A pair or 2 (or all ) of the socks, Morocco bath oil, and another locket (either the Clocket or Goldfish). Lab: GRR, more Lustration, more Fit of Artistic Enthusiasm, more Snake Oil, and perhaps some Halloween bottles. TAL: Energy, Money, Bastet's Laughter, and Healing.   How do you feel about stuffed animals/plushies/general soft, cuddly things? If you like them, what kind of animals would you be interested in? Not usually, though there is a Spock stuffed toy and an Adipose plushie from Think Geek that I like. lol   Glitter? In nail polish, sure. Just random bits of glitter? No thank you.   How would you feel about kitchen towels and other similar household objects, if they are pretty or a souvenir? We have a ton, really.   How did you dress up for your last party or compulsory-formal-dress occasion? It has been years since I've had to dress up.   Witchee, would you be interested in having a special tea cup/coffee mug/glass to drink out of? Sure! If you're a tea drinker, is there any specific tea you would like to receive, not just the kind/flavor but also the type/packing--i.e., tea bags, loose tea, compressed, etc?   Would you be interested in a felted handbag? Do any of these styles appeal to you? http://tinyurl.com/3o2epzl Yes! #'s 4, 6, 12, 15   And omg, ellebelle! Her photos are gorgeous. I see so many I would love to have. These I think are a few of my favorites: http://www.flickr.co...157594259684629   http://www.flickr.co...157594259684629   http://www.flickr.com/photos/lissaphoto/5406565458/in/set-72157625949307636 http://www.flickr.co...157600215732275     Would you like to receive e-books? And if so, in what format? I have an Amazon Kindle application on my tablet so that I can read ebooks, but I usually still prefer physical books. I'm cheap and only get the free ebooks since I can often times pick up books cheaper (or for the same price) as the ebook version.   If you have kids, would you be interested in getting things for them? And if so, what are they interested and what sizes are the wearing now? Sure. They like stickers, pencils, little notebooks, pins, etc.   Anyone like anything in particular from Think Geek? I actually have a few things from there on my amazon universal wishlist. I love Think Geek. (:   Beads! Do you use them? Would you want some? What sorts of beads do you like? Nope, don't use them and they would just get lost or put in someone's mouth.   How do you like your chocolate? For example with nuts, mint, peanut butter, caramel? Dark and/or with mint. Or raspberry. Or orange.   What are your top three "I want to try them but I think I'll never get to try them" (or, "I've tried them and I want moar moar moar, but I don't think I'll ever get any") scents/bath oils/sprays? Umm..Tal Tyche's Kiss, Temple of the Ghede, and Eleggua.   What are your favorite types of Halloween candy? Candy Corn, but it has to Brach's. I'm picky. lol   Do you prefer soap or shower gel? Probably soap. Scent-wise, I love mint, but really I'm a lot less picky went it comes to soaps than perfumes, so just about anything.   I am fond of the thrift. Do you mind lightly used goods? Please be specific! For books and stuff like that, sure. I have issues though when it comes to stuff like hats, shoes, socks, stuff like that.   Would you like to receive a mix-CD from your Witch? Sure! Just please lmk who the artists are.   Any witchee's with a ravelry account have any favourited patterns that cost money that would be a welcome gift? I don't have any yet, but if I find some I will definitely add them to my wishlist.   Are you interested in anything from the Villainess Bad Apples update? Sadly, no.   Are you going away for any part of this round? Nope.   Witchee, do you have any symbols or totems that have special meaning for you? Skulls (esp. sugar skulls) and skeletons.   Muppets: yea or nay? Yea, I guess. I like them, but not a huge fan or anything.   Favorite Mythological Creature? Hmm...tough one. i think I will go with a Gorgon.   Do you like hair things barrettes, headbands, flowers? Oh my, yes! Not so much headbands but I love barrettes, flowers, clips, hair sticks, etc. The stranger the better.     Harry Potter - a fan? If so, what house are you? I like the books and movies, but I'm not such a fan that I have HP paraphernalia or anything. Doctor Who otoh is becoming a different story. Do you have an affinity for Calvin and Hobbes, Peanuts, The Far Side, and other comic strips? If so, which is your favorite? Nope.   If you have a pet, would he/she/they like to receive a treat or a toy as a gift? Does your pet have any dietary restrictions or other preferences w.r.t. said treat? Probably not. We have quite a few animals and for a couple of them we have to be really picky with. Are there any CDs/Albums you've been wanting but haven't bought yet? What format do you prefer? (i.e. mp3, actual cd, record, etc) Hmmm....not sure. I will have to think about this one.   Is there a particular myth/folktale/legend/fairytale/godstory that you're drawn to? Baron Samedi and Maman Brigitte   Favorite animal? Snakes and sloths. Also, sea turtles.   Would you be interested in homemade edibles that are NOT sweets? Any specifics? Possibly. Not sure what though.   What GC do you live in mortal terror of the lab discontinuing, but never get around to buying? None that I can think of, though I'm quite worried that TAL Energy or Healing with be dc'd before I can get bottles.   Do you like to burn incense? If so, what are your favorite kinds...sticks? cones? resins? What are your favorite scents? I do occasionally, though some can irritate my allergies.   If you could see anything, what would it be? Can be a person, an event, a landmark or monument, an object, etc. And it doesn't have to be on this planet, or in this time period, or in this reality! Library of Alexandria or the akashic records.   Are you musical? Do you play an instrument, and if so, what? If not, what do you wish you could play or do? I wish I could play the guitar.     Does anyone garden? And if you do, what do you grow? If not, would a starter garden kit be something you'd be interested in? Not really. What I don't kill, my cats will. Or my kids. Or my dogs. Things come here to die or break.   Do you decorate for Halloween? Is your decorating taste elegant, kitschy and fun, or scary? We love Halloween and what some people consider seasonal decorations we consider just our regular home decor. We prefer Day of the Dead art, figures, sugar skulls, etc along with some of the more scary and/or bizarre Halloween stuff. Not much into the cute stuff.   If you were to receive a gift card, what places would you like to get one from? Knitpicks.com, Bodyartforms.com, Onetribe.nu (it's a somewhat local shop), ThinkGeek.com, or someplace like Amazon or Target.   When you are having a really rough day, what do you like to do/have to make it a little brighter? Some good decaf coffee, a horror movie, and my knitting while snuggling on the couch with dh.   How would you like to receive some of your Witch's favorite recipes, tailored to your likes/dietary restrictions? And specific wants? Since we are being pretty strict about what we make food wise (both for budget and dietary reasons, esp. for dh with his stomach & food reactions), probably not right now.   Do you have wishlists for non-BPAL e-tailers? And if so, could you provide a link or a list? I do! They are in my DISO and Wishlist posts (both links are in my signature). *I hate to be a downer, but please no food (some health stuff going on). Candy is fine though (believe me, someone around here will eat it lol). Amazon universal wishlist (just to give an idea of stuff I like): http://amzn.com/w/3F0132MYIB7XS   S'mores: I don't like marshmallows.   Neatest freebie: "I can't pick just one thing. This forum is the most generous place I have ever encountered. I love the just-because things that pop up randomly! It's taught me to be more generous myself and that is a gift that has crossed over into the mundane world (yes, this place is magic!)."   Let me just 2nd that!   Kitchen, bento, spices: No thank you. We have too much kitchen stuff as it is.     Do you like cute, seasonal or fluffy PJ bottoms? Like they sell at Target, Old Navy (they have had cute Halloween ones!) If so, what size do you wear? Dark chocolate, nuts are fine, love mint and most flavors (just nothing spicy, though dh likes it and will gladly eat it).     I live near a Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Penzeys! What does your little heart desire from any or all of these places? We have all those near us, so we don't really need anything atm.   Are home made foods acceptable or does the idea of eating strange mailed food disturb you? No thank you.   I just gave you $20 and sent you into a "has everything" store ala Walmart and told you that you have to come out having spent it all, and none of it on anything you need. What would you buy? Be as specific as possible! I don't do Walmart, but Target? Probably candy corn, hair color, a package of funky color highlighters and the fun color pens since my kids lost all of mine.   What kind of cuisines do you like? (I mentioned this in my ?aire but curious what my witch may like)And, what are your favorite restaurants? I'm partial to Mexican. Not that I can think of.   what are your "fandoms" and would you like a t-shirt from TeeFury if an appropriate one came up? Star Trek & Doctor Who mostly. Also Labyrinth and Goonies. Also, does your state allow alcohol to be shipped through the mail? No thank you. I don't drink   Is there anyone else in your house (kids, pets, partner) that would really appreciate a small gift being included for them in the switchwitchy haul so they don't feel left out? Please don't feel that it's necessary. If you really want to, maybe just some chocolate or stickers.   Since it's been mentioned several times, and I've also offered to nacho witch some, would you you like to receive wild rice and or maple syrup? I promise to include recipe ideas with the wild rice. No thank you.   I have 5 bushels of tomatoes sitting in the kitchen right now that are supposed to turn into red sauce tomorrow, so would anyone like a basic red sauce (spaghetti sauce) to make its way to them? I love so many artists and styles, but especially lowbrow art.   If you could have an image or certain subject painted for you on any type of "canvas" (on a box, on paper, on a canvas, and so on) - could you point your witch to some of these images? Probably a Day of the Dead cat or something fandom related.   Is there a GC scent that's been on your list for ages but keeps falling off the bottom of your order because of the LEs? Though I would never turn down lavender or dried rose for sachets.   If there are no "witchy" shops near you, is there anything I can pick up for you from Enchantments? Not that I can think of.   Are you OK with "special deliveries"? I'm not sure about this one. Let me think about it.   What are some things you are OK with receiving gently used or homemade, and some things you absolutely do not want if they are gently used or homemade? As long as it's not a health hazard , sure.   And now a new question: I live near a Mast General Store. It has lots of vintage-y toys, southern foods (jams, jellies, spices) and vintage candy. Are there designer clothes/purses/sunglasses that you desire/love? (Give some indication as to your "style" as well. For example, do you like bohemian-style frocks in lavender? Crossbody purses in black? Sunglasses that are round and bug-like?) I don't really have any particular designers I like (most that I know of are a bit stuffy for my taste and I don't really care about labels) but I do really like most Fossil bags (they hold up really well).   I realize that we had a similar question in the ?aire, but I need you Witchee-s to list at least 5 items, each ranging $20 and under from Amazon.com or Walmart.com. http://www.amazon.co...=I2Q3NSEVJOFSVL   http://www.amazon.co...=I3KRYPONL54S9A   http://www.amazon.co.../ref=pd_sim_b_1   http://www.amazon.co.../ref=pd_sim_b_2   http://www.amazon.co.../ref=pd_sim_b_8     Favorite fandom characters? (perfume, eco/"green," skin care, hair, music downloads, cosmetics, soap...). I used to but wasn't crazy about them.   Nudes? Not a problem here and either gender is fine.   What's one thing you want, right now, that you're having difficulty finding? Pixi Stix. Seriously. I can't find them anywhere around here lately. Same with wintergreen tic tacs.   Owls? They're cool, but I don't collect them or anything.   What do you do to take care of yourself when you're having a rough day (sick, life not going your way, whatever)? Put on a good zombie movie or silly movie, bury myself under fleece blankets, knit and eat some sort of junk food (unless I'm sick, then it's crackers and seltzer).   New JKR novel? Nope.   Gardening? Not if I can avoid it.   Witchee, do you want anything from the Haunt update coming up on 10/3? I know it might be too early to say, but if you could look at the preview on the night of 10/2 and let me know if you want anything... Batik glossing oil sounds amazing!   Tinctures/salves? Salves would be fine, but no tinctures please.   Is there something(s) that you consider too spendy or too frivolous for you to buy for yourself, but that you actually want?   I would love something like this or this but I know I would never buy it myself. They are now on my Amazon wishlist (just to give an idea of the types I like).

Snow-flakes

When I sniffed this in the bottle, I was a little...worried. It was very sharp. On the skin though the sharpness begins to fade and it smells like a minty aquatic with a hint of...pine? As it dries it softens and I catch a hint of musk. I really like this one and I'm glad I got a bottle.   ETA: Wow, I think my chemistry is really off. After a couple hours I'm catching a very slight tobacco scent on my wrist. More like pipe tobacco as opposed to cigs. I like it.

Sea of Glass

I abolutely LOVE this one. It is just simply beautiful. Crisp and refreshing floral that does not turn out powdery or soapy. I keep sniffing it because it reminds me of something that I can't quite put my finger on, but comforting and exciting at the same time. Makes me think of sitting in a blooming garden catching the scent of the ocean air.   I will definately be buying a bigger bottle!

Scherezade

OK, I've been having bad luck with just about anything that isn't aquatic or tropical. Most spicey muck scent are going straight to funky incense.   But not this! This is definately a sensual scent, all spice and musk. It does take on a slightly powdery scent on me, but not at all in a bad way. I love it!

Satyr

Ok, so I knew this wouldn't be for me so I had hubby try it.   It smells like leather, cinnamon, clove. rotted hay, and butt. Seriously. It smells like someone is tryint to cover up a funk with something really nice. Hubby said it reminds him of the horses at Busch Gardens. It was almost good.

Santa Muerte

In the imp and wet it's super strong and rather icky, like a really bad drugstore perfume.   As it dries though it loses the harshness and begins to soften quite a bit. Starts to smell very powdery on me. Almost like Baby Love that someone tried to "grow up" a little.   I wouldn't buy a bottle, but I will probably try this again just to see.   ETA: No I won't. I smell like old lady mixed w/baby powder. ewww. Not quite what I was going for.

I wondered about the myrrh too, because I swear I catch a bit of that in here. At first it's a strange mix of sweetness, woods, and something slightly sharp. As it dries I begin to catch a bit of the patchouli and the spice begins to come out more, along with just enough smokiness. Sadly, I'm not getting much of the apple. It's very nice though, but one bottle should be enough.   In my locket it's quite a bit different. It is sweeter and has a strangely aquatic feel to it. Like fall when I used to live near the beach. This was a great scent to try today since it's cool and rainy and I am very much ready for autumn.
