My Fall 2016 Switch Witch answers

10/19/16

Do you subscribe to any boxes? What kinds of things do you like from them?
I used to subscribe to barkbox but the Monkies would immediately destroy and hoard any toys from it (we were still working on his resource guarding) so it was more stressful than fun. Now that it is just Zuul and she isn't as hard on toys, it would be fun to get Barkbox again (but of course I can't afford it right now.) I would love the Firefly lootcrate. I used to get two different "sample" boxes (that I can't remember the name of) but I didn't think it was worth the money and I never purchased anything full size from any of the samples. There are some cool yarn/knitting monthly boxes (and yay brain fog, I can't remember the name) and I was kind of interested in the monthly witchy boxes (Crone box?) that had incense and herbs and other things in it. I think I shared them on facebook and then promptly tried to forget about them so as to avoid temptation.

Any makeup/body/skin type stuff you'd like to get samples of?
Not really. My skin is very very picky and almost everything makes it break out (right now it's breaking out just from the change in water and humidity.) And I rarely wear any makeup other than eyeliner (stila smudgestick mostly) and eyebrow powder (since I have no eyebrows, only tattoos - and they're getting really faded so I use them mostly as a guide for where to draw my eyebrows. yay thyroid.) Mascara samples might be fun though since I should probably wear that once in a while. My eyelashes are very long naturally but are kind of light in color so are sort of invisible unless i wear mascara.

10/18/16

ThinkGeek is having a big Halloween sale. Anything catch your eye?
I have a wishlist there (link under SW help.)
- annoyatron pack
- link shield backpack
- critical hit cookie cutters
- game of thrones cookie cutters
- skull ice cube mold
- critical hit ice mold
- Death Star ice mold
- Tardis robe
- groot mask (my son is 7' tall and I keep telling him he needs to be groot for Halloween)

10/16/16

Ginger, or Spearmint flavor?
Ummmm depends on what? I love ginger chews and gingerbread *especially pumpkin ginger bread* and stuff. But for things like gum? Probably spearmint. I've had ginger lip balm and I would probably prefer mint in that category too. So..... um... is that helpful?

10/11/16

Are there any commercial candles/tarts/tealights in scents you like? Bath and Body Works, or Yankee Candle?
I would love a Black Magic candle from Yankee but I think they only come in one size this year. Otherwise I am pretty set on candles as per my previous answers. Not that I would ever be unhappy with any but I have about 20 three wick candles still in boxes and a HUGE box full of pillars, tapers, votives, tealights, etc. The only thing I am short on is actual beeswax candles (I prefer candles similar to what Big Dipper Wax Works carries) and ritual candles, especially figurines. I don't need any tarts. I COULD use a bath and bodyworks wall flower plug in since I have about 20 unused scents for that brand.

10/10/16

Witchee, would you like (would you wear?) a long wrap choker?
No, thank you. I have a fat neck (boo) and no longer wear chokers (or much jewelry except my scent locket.)

10/8/16

I'd love to commission a piece of art for you. Would you be interested in a custom piece? What kind of picture/what subject matter?
I do like her unicorns and MLP. I don't really have a ton of room right now but anything related to my dogs is always welcome. They are my precious babies. I have lots of photos on my flickr and instagram pages for what they look like in RL...

10/4/16

Would any witchees be interested in strawberry, pumpkin & apple, or milk flavor Pocky?
My son would probably love some!

10/3/15

Though I've been playing with sculpee lately and like making sort of character or fandom inspired bead/pendants, would that be something you'd like or have use for?
My son makes jewelry and he is house Targaryen... I'm Stark. I would probably only have use for VERY SMALL charms/beads for making stitch markers. These gargoyle ones on etsy (that I already have!) are the perfect size. He might have a use for larger beads on necklaces. And I would love for my son or my mom to receive things too.

10/1/16

Erotica or BDSM - yay or nay, and if yay, what kinds of things?
Normally I would say ALL THE TOYS AND ROPE YES AND LOCKS AND... but since I'm going through divorce, I'm not going to need any toys for a while... Books are ok.

My local farmers market has a pepper specialist who makes dried pepper powders. Would you like some and if so what level of spicyness.
I love chipotle and smokey peppers with low to medium heat. And jalapenos. My favorite tobasco is the green, so I like flavor over heat I guess. And yes, all of the herbs and spices and salts and peppers! I have a couple of empty grinders too.

9/28/16

Tarot cards/oracle decks - yay or nay?
Yay -- and I would really like a rune set. I had one but an ex took it.

If yay, do you already have any?
I have a vampire set. And a really old rider-waite set somewhere in storage.

Which ones?
I really like the Phantomwise deck and any deck with gothy, gargoyle, or maybe unicorn type artwork.

Cryptozoology/cryptids (Big Foot, lake monsters, chupacabra, etc.) - yay or nay?
meh.

If yay, any favourites?
Well, I am in Bigfoot country.

9/25/16

I'm a honey affecionado (I really love honey) and our renn Faire has a local honey booth we go to every year and our trip is coming up. Anything from http://www.beefolks.com/default.aspsuit your fancy in particular (honey or otherwise since they have other products?)
oooh. The Cotton, MeadowMaple, Killer Bee... really any of them. I love honey in my tea but I have super light to super dark honeys that I really love... so. Pretty much anything to do with honey and I'd be happy. I love honey stix too! I'm going to have to learn how to make Mead....

Any other renn Faire goodies in general? I have a friend who is a wood carver there and they make adorable geeky pins amount other things and Harry Potter wands? Here are the artisans there: http://www.rennfest.com/general-information/artisans
I love consumables or things I can use! Mead, Henna (for body, not hair -- I prefer premixed), silver colored celtic-y shawl pins, silver colored celtic buttons, maybe beads, wire, charms, etc. crafting making (my son makes jewelry and I need to start making stitch markers), cross stitch things, yarn, etc. I do love celtic-y wall hangings/tapestries/blankets with Epona (horse), raven, dog, ferret, or just knots. Purple or blue! Herbs for soap making or using in ritual workings. Maybe some crystals or stones for my planned altar. I need an altar cloth too. And maybe a small ritual candle holder. I can always use colored sand and self igniting charcoal, loose incense/herbs for burning, etc.

No soap or candles please, I have bins and bins of soap still. And lets not talk about the candles...

9/24/16

The second part of the Haus of Gloi update is live tomorrow (the 25th)- is there anything you're interested in?
- Butter Bomb in Burnishing Amber, Marshmallow, or Sleepy Time.
- Lip Balm in Pumpkin or Maple Sugar. Would love their regular balm (Sale!) in Wild Rose.
- Fall Sugar Scrub in Hex, Pumpkin Queen, or the Horseman.
- Valentine's Pumpkin Butter in Come Hither (Sale!) or Summer Pumpkin Butter in Marshmallow Rose (sale!)
- Summer Refresher in Chillax (Sale!)
- I've always wanted to try their Haus Amber. Probably in Sugar Exfoliant.

I'm going to the NY Renaissance Faire tomorrow- anything you'd like me to look for?
I love Faire! I'd usually be on the look out for cool celtic silver colored buttons (I found some really awesome celtic hippocampus ones once), shawl pins, mead, henna kits, etc. I love the huge celtic horse or celtic knot ... blankets? They're kind of thin. I have two different celtic horse ones but I'd love a purple horse one. Or just purple and black celtic knots. Or dogs/ravens/ferrets.

Do you celebrate Mabon? Would you like "witchy" or pagan decorations and objects? For example, pentacle wall hangings, mabon poppets, corn dollies, ritual candles, etc?
I do need more ritual candles. But as far as decorations and dust catchers or knick knacks, no no no.

Anyone hankering for Craftsy (http://www.craftsy.com) classes? Through tomorrow all classes are $20 or under.
I think I'm good on Craftsy classes right now. I tend to be able to find free youtube classes on most things that I'm interested in learning. Except for advanced brioche techniques, which I already have a craftsy class on.

Would you be interested in any of the following: jigsaw puzzles; puzzle books (like word searches or crossword puzzles or suduko); coloring books; card games; board games? Feel free to elaborate on preferences for any of the above!
I'd kind of like CAH. I'm not sure I have anyone to play it with though. I don't have a need for any coloring books, jigsaw puzzles, puzzle books, etc. I do most of that thing on the computer. There might be some board games I'm interested in - I'd have to go look at a store. But again with the lack of people to play with when I'm moving out to the middle of nowhere.

9/23/16

Would you be interested in Kings Game by Lisa Millraney?
I've already purchased it.

Would you like any brown paper bags of "seconds" from Seattle Chocolates?
Heck yeah. My favorite are the San Juan Sea Salt truffle bars and the JCoCo Agave Sesame but I haven't tried all of the JCoCo yet. The sea salt one might be good!

Elements & Artifacts has a fall/halloween collection up? Anything catch your eye?
Most of the items I like are over $100 and really I don't wear a lot of jewelry anymore except for my BPTP Phoenix scent locket. I love the ribbon wrap bracelets but I have an 8" wrist so things don't always fit me well, even wraps. The rings are gorgeous but too small. The Vampire Queen (bat and amethyst) is super cute but I would need the chain extended to a 20".

And speaking of shops from BPAL folks, any favorites in the stores on the SW Stalking and Services Spreadsheet
I'll have to look and update.

9/22/16

Would you like some hair falls? I can make a single (ponytail) or double (for pigtails). Short, long, types of yarns, ribbons? Extra things (buttons, beads, wire wraps? Colors/color combinations? Stuff to avoid?
I love the idea of hair falls ... I have one pair of double hair falls but I can't ever put them on right or make them work. I like long, double, ribbons, yarns (no acrylic but otherwise don't care on type) - purples, blues, and blacks would be nice. I would need instructions on how to use them. Definitely not a priority since I'm moving out to the middle of nowhere and probably won't be going anyplace where I would need hair falls for a year or more unless my life changes drastically.

9/21/16

Do you have an Etsy wish list, and if so, what's your user name there?
All links to various off site wish lists are in my signature under the link "SW Help". My scentbase if woefully out of date. I hurt my tailbone and back a couple of years ago and couldn't sit by a computer comfortably so I got REALLY far behind in updating my BPAL on there.

Tokyo Milk? Yea or Nay?
I have some of their clove lip balm and love it! I'm kind of full on perfumes and lotions right now and I really do prefer balm in a tube. I just couldn't resist the clove.

would you like notebooks or journals? Utilitarian or fancy? Lined or blank? Tell me of your stationery lustings.
I have zero interest in notebooks, journals, stationery, etc. I still have blank notebooks from grade school and pretty stationery that I have never used. I have a hard time writing anything legibly. Electronic all the way!!! (although I also have sealing wax and sealing wax stamps because I like the IDEA of cool letters being exchanged. I just don't ever do it.)

What are your tea and/or coffee preferences? Loose leaf / whole bean or bagged / ground? Do you have a favorite type? Flavor? Retailer?
Well, I am moving back in with my parents (ACK) and I don't think I will have my french press available, so that leaves me with keurig and verismo makers. I would love some anniversary blend for the verismo. I like Starbucks Via too.

As for tea, I generally prefer loose leaf as it is higher quality. But I could really use some more licorice mint tea. There are some great organic blends out there but most of them come bagged so that is fine. I have tons of tea on my amazon edibles wish list.

If you could receive one handmade item - everything from knitted or crocheted gloves and scarves to sewn bags to fanart or original art, what would you prefer?
So hard to say - I can knit, crochet, and sew - so really not my priority. But I don't have a place for any more art either. I will think about it. Maybe a sewn project bag. I can always use more project bags. And pillow cases.

What are your favorite fandoms, if any?
Red Dwarf, LOTR, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Nightmare Before Christmas, Game of Thrones!!!, ummm will have to think of more. Oh, yeah, Guardians of the Galaxy! Buffy! Firefly! There are so many but I have a lot of brain fog... sorry!

Skincare- do you use a particular routine? What products would you absolutely not use?
Almost everything makes my skin break out. I use Kiss My Face moisturizer. I use Prescriptives makeup and serums. I like Lush Greased Lightning. I would not use most other things.

Bath/shower products?
I use mostly non-sls products if possible and I love oily salt scrubs. I have sugar scrubs too. Villianess, Paint Box Soapworks, Haus of Gloi, Cocoa Pink, Arcana, etc. I do have a bunch of Lush shower gel. I actually have a tub at the parents house so I can take baths!!!

BPTP products? Pre-owned okay?
Yes, yes.

Essential oils and aromatherapy oils- yay, or nay?
I love essential oils! Aromatherapy oils too but please make sure no phthalates.

Favorite animal?
For...what purpose? It really depends. I love horses (especially Friesians), pit bull type dogs, dolphins, bats, rats, corbies, I am sad because while packing today I dropped my bat talisman necklace (moonstone carved bat) and it split in half. *sniff* HEY MY PATRONUS IS A BAY MARE.

Twilight Alchemy Lab oils?
yes please. I need Block Buster, Road Opener, Black Rage, Brittle, Spiritwrack, STFU, Foundation of Fortune, Brass Balls, King Solomon's, Aegis, Confusion, Countermagick, Fiery Wall of Protection, Flying Devil, Jinx Removing, Crucible of Courage, Magnet, Ouroboros, Veils & Mist, Venus, Charisma, Aunt Caroline's Money Draw, Gainful Employment, Steady Work, Showers of Gold, Servare, Power, Peaceful Home, Protection, Money, LaFlamme, Helping Hand, Uncrossing, Vigor, Sever, Blessing, Annoiting Oil - Exodus Version, Libertas, Sunlight, Discipline, Bright Fortune, Golden Graces Money Drawing, Friendship, Blessing Spray, 13 Horizons spray....

I'd really love some Conjure Bags too. Beauty Bag and/or Money Draw Bag.

9/20/16

Authors - Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter. Heard of them? Love them, hate them, or eh?
Never heard of them. I mostly like epic fantasy or sci-fi books. Also I am going blind right now so I prefer ebooks only -- I really need the adjustable font option..

Knitted things. Specifically scarves/cowls and shawls.....grabby hands or not? Favorite colors? Are you allergic or sensitive to any textiles, ie wools, cashmere, nylon, metallic threads, mohair, alpaca? Knitted washcloths? For the kitchen or for the bath? And again, colors??
I think I already answered this - I have 500 scarves, so unless it is on my "make for me" favorites on Rav, I probably do not want a scarf. I don't wear cowls unless they are huge huge infinity cowls (I have a fat neck and can't stand tight things.) I don't like triangle shaped "shawls" - I do like circular, half circle, crescent, and really long and skinny but with pointy ends, which differentiates them from scarves IMO.

My favorite colors for knit wear is black, grey, and gradients. I like jewel tones and black overdyes. Purple, Red, Blue, Green, Black, Grey. If you check out my yarn stash on Ravelry you'll get an idea of what I like.

I do not want anything acrylic. Cashmere pills, so meh. I prefer Merino, Merino Nylon, Merino Silk, Silk, etc. I do like Merino Cashmere Silk because it seems like the silk keeps the cashmere in line. Silver threads are ok but not my favorite. Prefer no mohair or alpaca because it seems itchy in here tonight.

Washclothes are ok, for either kitchen or bath. Same colors.

As far as colors go, I loathe orange, yellow, brown, cream, beige, anything that could be construed a shade of orange, yellow, or brown. Please god no, keep them away. chocolate and beef jerky should be brown, though, I'll give you that.

I love mitts but I will say that you absolutely NEED TO USE A STRETCHY CAST ON AND BIND OFF. I have very large hands. I prefer Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off and Jeny's Stretchy Slipknot Cast On. Both can be found with a web search or on ravelry.

Candles or wax melts/wax tarts?
Honestly the only candle I have my eye on right now is the Black Magic candle from Yankee. It smells SO GOOD. I want everything in that scent. Otherwise... I not only used to be a PartyLite consultant and make candles for Sweet Spirit Candles, but I also make candles at home. So I have about 500 candles. I wouldn't mind receiving candles molds, wicking, candle wax, candle scent, etc. Or soapmaking supplies. Or GC's to places like Brambleberry. I'm hoping I can set up a soap/candle workshop at my parents place and maybe open an etsy store. I also do bath bombs, scrubs, and lip balm. So yes, supplies would be awesome. (picky about what kind of chemicals are IN the supplies though, especially scents, and try to do mostly organic and non Phthalates/SLS.)

I have more tarts than I can use right now too, unless there are Yankee Black Magic tarts in which case, yes please.

I could maybe use a new wall flower plug in thing from Bath & Bodyworks though.

9/19/16

Speaking of snarky, who's a fan of The Mincing Mockingbird?
Who? What?

Do you decorate for Halloween all year? If not, what level of decor do you have for Halloween?
I decorate with skulls, gargoyles, NMBC, bats, coffins, tombstones, all year. I do not use pumpkins, witches, spiders, ghosts, zombies, etc. Right now I am moving though so I really need no knick knacks or decorations. Once I get moved in (in the next couple of weeks) I'll update if anything changes.

Indoor/outdoor Halloween decorations? What do you do, and what would you prefer to receive?
Nothing really please. I have way too much stuff right now and am feeling very overwhelmed. If it changes when I get moved in, I'll say something.

What's your preferred Halloween decor style: classic/traditional (skulls, pumpkins, bats), kitchsy/cute, retro, elegant/Victorian, horror/macabre?
I'm more gothy or victorian I guess. But I am full up on decor. Please no knick knacks.

What's your candy preference?
I wouldn't say no to peanut butter cups and kit kats and such things. I like mostly high quality chocolates but can't resist halloween candy in small doses.

Does anyone like fleece character hats? Like these? http://wonderlandonline.storenvy.com/collections/354444-anime-video-games/products/13089516-pusheen-like-fleece-hat What kinda characters would you like to see?
Oh, sorry, not so much. I only wear newsboy type hats with a brim. And not usually knitted ones.

9/18/16

Who here is a Raging All THINGS HARRY POTTER fan?
I don't know about RAGING but I do love me some Harry Potter. I've seen all of the movies and read all of the books multiple times except for the supplemental books on my Amazon wishlist. I've had someone bring me a chocolate frog once and I would LOVE to have more. I would love to try the other treats as well.

Do you like things with Pumpkin (or Pumpkin Spice?)
I love things like pumpkin scones, pumpkin bread, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, etc. and I've had some pumpkin pie almonds that were scrumptious but I don't like "pumpkin spice" lattes... so probably a no to pumpkin spice popcorn, bark, coffee syrup, cocoa mix, etc. (Plus trying to avoid dyes, corn syrup, non-organic stuffs, etc.)

9/17/16

Is there anything you would like to get from Japan?
- I do love interesting flavored kit kats but I've had orange, hazelnut, banana, green tea, and oreo locally. Would love to try Pumpkin Pudding and Red Bean. We have a really good international food district and asian specialty stores that carry a ton of pocky and other snacks.
- I love honey and black milk tea and also lavender and jasmine. I have never seen rose milk tea, but that would be fabulous. Doh, got some!!!
- I know they have a lot of Nightmare Before Christmas stuff so I wouldn't mind getting something that is usable and not a pin/keychain/coffee cup/knick knack. I collect NMBC cookie jars and cannisters.
- Gothic Lolita stuff is always cool and fun, especially black/purple. Ooh, also Japanese incense.
- yarn!
- silky things to dye, spices, whatever!
- japanese boozahol?

Would you object to re-using of clean mailing materials?
No I wouldn't object. I reuse bubblopes and bubble wrap. And tissue paper if it isn't ripped.

9/16/16

Is there anything you'd particularly like to get from the UK?
I love Cadbury crunchies and curly whirlies. There are other UK chocolates I'd love to try, I think there are some on my Amazon wishlist. I love tea but I think most of the tea on my wishlist is from France. But maybe you could get it in the UK? I'd be up for trying whatever chocolate and tea. I love clotted cream! Spices/herbs? Yarn?

Socks/sockdreams/etc:
I'm kind of meh on sockdreams because I have huge feet. And I'm a knitter. And I'm a plus size. I know they have a very small plus size section but I rarely wear tights or any socks except black. And most socks that are made for women don't fit me. I usually just buy plain black men's socks. (I do love me some Spanx tights though.)

Anyone a nail polish fan? What colored interest you?
I don't really wear polish on my finger nails and I'm set for polish on my toe nails.

9/15/16

How do you feel about knitted stuff?
As I am a knitter, I love knitted things. I do not love crochet things unless they are toys/blankets. Please no crochet wearables.

Fancy? Plain?
I don't mind lace. But I do not wear cowls, hats, or scarves and I don't like shawls that are triangle shaped. (yes, I am a picky bitchcake.)

What types of things do you like to wear?
I love fingerless mitts and shawls (boomerang, bias, crescent, circular, half circle, long/skinny but not "scarves" - pointy ends, etc.) If you're a knitter, you're probably on Ravelry and you can look at my wishlist there - I have "Bundles" in my favorites called "MAKE FOR ME" and "HALLOWEEN OR VAMP SWAP" that has projects or patterns that I'd love to have made for me.

I'm into beer. How 'bout you?
No no no no no But I do love me some hard cider. But not dry or semi sweet - the sweeter, the better. The Ace Pumpkin Cider is good and I love JK Scrumpys.

And booze?
yes yes yes yes
I love (sweet!) mead, dessert wines such as port or ice wine (sweeter, the better), amaretto, baileys, rum, vodka, flavored stuff, butterscotch schnapps, etc. I have super huge bottles of kahlua, malibu rum, and whipped cream vodka so I'm set there. The best mead I've had recently is from Aesir Mead in Everett, Washington. Their fireweed was to die for. I'd love GC's for them. Or the Groupon that they usually have going. (Only problem would be scheduling it since I am moving to Eastern Washington by October.)

How do you feel about caramel?
yes yes yes - but fair warning, I try to avoid corn syrup. So only really high quality snobby type caramels or homemade without corn syrup. I try to avoid GMO's and do mostly organic food.

Salt or no?
yes yes yes

With chocolate or without?
with chocolate is good but without is ok too. I try to do fair trade/organic.

Would you be interested in home made food items?
I love homemade items but I don't like nuts in my baked goods. I like nuts on their own though - except walnuts. I hate walnuts. And again, I try to avoid corn syrup, food dyes, etc. and I do mostly organic and non-gmo - especially wheat/flour.

Would you be interested in project bags/pouches?
I don't think you can ever have enough project bags. Even though I have about 50.

And to go along with the previous knitting question...
Are you allergic to any fiber or do you know what kind of yarn you prefer?
I tend to not like BFL as much. Or llama/alpaca/cashmere/angora.
I love merino/nylon and merino/silk. Merino/cashmere/silk seems to be ok too, less pilling because of the silk content.

Would you want a quilted pot holder?
Since I am living with my parents and they have tons of pot holders already, I wouldn't really get any use out of it.

Do you have any prefered flavour of shortbread?
vanilla or lavender. But shortbread isn't my favorite.

12 Days of Christmas 2017

12 Days of Christmas 2017 -- you can also read my answers from Switch Witch and 13 Days of Halloween 2017 in my blog if you want.

Are you coveting anything currently available from Haus of Gloi?
I'm super sad that my Rose City pumpkin butter is almost gone (and I don't see it on the site anymore - it was rose and patchouli.)
* Snow Wolf, Turkish Delight, would love of a sample of Haus Amber and Nefarious Gingerbread Man. (Pumpkin Butter and any of the scrubs.)
* Pomander, Fir Boughs and Incense, Serenity (butter bombs)
* Candy Cane, Butterscotch (lip balm)
* For perfume only, the birthday ambers are on sale and I was wanting to try Amber & Rose, Amber & Incense, or Amber Noir. The Fall Black Musks are killing me, I love black musk. I'm most interested in Black Musk & Nag Champa, Black Musk, Leather & Rose, Black Musk, Anise & Vanilla. I've never smelled their black musk though, so I hope it's good!

Are you coveting anything from the Paintbox Soapworks update that just happened?
Sorbetto or bath streusel only: Winter Stories or Figs in Honey. (no lotions or soap please.) I do love her goat milk body cream and wish she would make the lavender honey scented again. There are plenty other of scents on there I'd love too.

Are you coveting anything from Cocoa Pink?
- Scent wise: Black, Black Marshmallow, Black Vanilla, Black Velvet, Black Widow, Broomstick, Come-hither, Cozy Blanket, Fear of Ghosts, Genevieve, Lipstick Stains, Marshmallow, Monster in the Walls, Naughty, Sensory Deprivation Tank, Stanley Hotel, The Upside-Down, Vanilla on the Rocks, Vanilla Rose,
- Product wise: ShampPink shampoo, dermabrasion sample, I'm 29 serum, either the coco mango or the voluptuous body butters, linen spray, sugar scrub. No perfume please.

How do you feel about pomanders?
They smell good - I used to make them for people.

How do you feel about savor soaps?
No bar soap for me please. I am not really a fan of whipped soap either, but I do like sugar scrubs so I added some of those to my etsy wishlist. I added some whipped soap too, but mostly for the scents that I liked, not for the whipped soap itself.

Or Perfectly Posh?
No thank you.

Do you have feelings about fruitcake? We're talking whiskey soaked homemade fruitcake, not a brick in a festive tin.
So I've only ever had one fruitcake that I liked -- cherry almond fruitcake (with pears, marzipan, and amaretto.) I usually beg my mom to make me one every year.

Any strong nail polish and/or makeup preferences?
I don't usually wear nail polish (except for BPTP polish!) but I have some on my etsy list that changes color (I'm a sucker for color changing things) and I'm really intrigued by ilnp. (Raven, Abyss, Moonstone, Birefringence, Westwing, By Nightfall, Ava, Walking Home, Missed Calls, Deja Vu....) Makeup wise, I only wear prescriptives foundation and powder. I love black eyeliner that won't smudge or smear (I've been using Stila smudge stick and kat von d tattoo liner but both of those still run a little.) I just got two lippies in another swap but I can always use more (light 'blue leaning' plums/rose.) I don't wear brown, yellow, gold, beige, or cream. I'm into silver, black, grey, purple, blue. Sometimes reds/greens but not often. I have a ton of loose eyeshadows but rarely wear them. I could use some good mascara.

Favorite animals?
Not in any particular order: Bats, pibbles, friesian horses. Mythological: hippocampus, unicorn, gargoyles/grotesques, toothless.

Do you have a strong preference for consumables (soaps, candles, food, etc.) over other stuff?
I have a strong preference for things that are useful as opposed to things that just sit. Games, shirts, foods, yes! (no bar soap please.)

Would you be interested in Colorpop?
The only palette that calls to me is the Yin to your yang. For lippies, I like Ice Cube, Sauce, Baewatch (ugh, I hate the name though), and the Amethyst crystal balm. Black eyeliner.

Would you like any holiday music? if so, do you prefer a CD or MP3?
No thank you.

Do you like toffee or fudge?
Fudge yes, but no nuts or anything in my fudge. Love butterscotch or peanut butter! Plain chocolate is awesome too but my mom makes that, as well as toffee, every year.

How do you feel about amigurumi (little crochet stuffies...animals, characters, ornaments, etc.)?
I like them! (We make and sell them on our etsy store.) My most favorite one ever was a pit bull amigurumi that was gifted to me.

If I were to crochet you something wearable, do you have any preferences? Do you like hats, scarves, gloves, other? And would you prefer something fun and whimsical (e.g. fox face hat or owl mittens), something delicate and pretty (e.g. lacy wraps or scalloped boot cuffs), or just something like a basic, no frills beanie or cowl? Do you have a Ravelry account and a list of favorite patterns?
I really don't like most crocheted wearables, I prefer knitted. I am on Ravelry as misstwilight and I do have some bundles under my favorites called "make for me." Please don't make anything out of my general favorites.

What kind of hot drinks do you like, and if tea or coffee or cocoa or cider or alcohol, give specifics?
Lately I have been mostly using the keurig to make coffee and tea (or using cold brew coffee.) I do have some coffee beans and tea on my amazon "edibles" wishlist. I like black tea, especially flavored or cinnamon, and mint tea - especially with licorice. (I hate chamomile.) I love sweet hard cider, especially JK Scrumpy and Ace's pumpkin cider. Ghiradelli Double Chocolate cocoa and Vosges Parisian drinking chocolate are my favorites. Alcohol wise, I like just about everything but mostly things like amaretto, baileys, kahlua, sinfire, vanilla vodka, marshmallow vodka, etc.

What kind of candles do you like, scent, etc?
Vanillas, spices, woodsy, smoky, incense, marshmallow, patchouli, resins, tobacco.

Mixes or seasonings for the kitchen?
I'm probably pretty good on spices since I don't cook much.

What is something new in your life that you wish you had more "things" for?
Probably my altar. I could use an altar cloth and some other items.

We do a lot of baking and holiday good ridiculousness around here...house specialties include lebkuchen (flourless, they're mostly nuts, spices, candied fruit), marzipan, butter caramels (flavored or plain), shortbread crisps, and savory cheese shortbread. Any of these sound appealing?
Nothing with nuts please. (It's a texture thing - I like nut butters though.) We do caramels too but I'd love to taste yours, especially flavored! Mmmm savory cheese!

What are your top places to get a gift card from?
ooh, hard to say. Smellies wise: BPAL/BPTP, Moonalisa, Nocturne Alchemy. Food wise: Panera, MOD Pizza, Qdoba/Chipotle, Trader Joes Otherwise: Amazon, Twisted Fiber Art, The Loopy Ewe, Paradise Fibers, Fresh from the Cauldron (etsy), Teeturtle, ThinkGeek, Costco. I'm sure I could think of more but really anywhere would be a treat.

Which holiday symbols/themes do you like the best (or least)? Such as Santas, snowflakes, reindeer, etc.
KRAMPUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also snowflakes.

Do you like puzzles?
I play a lot of puzzle games on my ipad but I don't do anything that requires me to hold a pen/pencil and I no longer do jigsaw puzzles (no place to put them, all of our tables are covered in other projects like cutting boards for fabric, sewing machines, etc. plus one table to eat at.) I went from a huge house, to sharing a basement, to having one small room, so my stuff is pretty crammed in here.

Do you have a strong preference for numbered packages vs randomly picking with maybe a few hints along the way?
Nope. Either way is fine.

Are you jonesing for any particular BPAL right now? Anything you are just dying to try, even just a sniffie?
Beautiful Macabre, Mummies of Mexico City. (for sniffing)

How do you feel about the following flavors/ingredients:
Coconut? I like coconut chips and toasted coconut, coconut oil for cooking, coconut sugar for baking, but I'm not really a fan of things like mounds or almond joy.
Mint? I love mint tea (especially combined with licorice root.) Mint frangoes are sometimes good, but otherwise I'm not a huge fan of mint and chocolate, it has to be something I'm in the mood for.
Lavender? I love lavender everything. We made lavender vanilla liqueur this year, as well as cordial for lavender lemonade.
Rosewater? Also made rose petal liqueur, rose jam, etc. Nom!
Cardamom? Yes.
Candied citrus peel/marmalade? My mom received some homemade candied orange peel in a recent ravelry swap and they were SO GOOD. Yes. (not a fan of marmalade though.)
Anything to absolutely avoid? flavor wise, I'm just having a hard time thinking of what to absolutely avoid beside things like mincemeat, pecan pie, lutefisk, things with nuts or marshmallows (texture, not flavor), etc.
Would you like anything crafted for the storage or transport of the BPAL? (Travel imp containers, boxes for 5mls, bottle cozy, etc.)
I use ammo boxes and mint tins for imps and I have tons of boxes (both travel and storage) for bottles, so I'm good there. I wouldn't mind wall display type things for BPAL though! Like nail polish racks or coffin shaped shadow boxes with bpal sized shelves? Someday I am going to order the BPTP wall sconce for bpal bottles.
If so, do you prefer them to be plain or decorated? Either or!
If decorated, are there any motifs or art that you'd particularly like? I love celtic knots (ravens, dogs, horses, ferrets, just knots), swirly things, nightmare before christmas, bats, corvids, gargoyle/grotesques, skulls/calaveras, eye of horus/ankhs, krampus. More on the darker/gothy side.

Winter Solstice Swap 2017

Are there decants that you wished you ordered but didn't? Things you wish you had ordered more of?
I haven't been able to afford Liliths yet, let alone Weenies or Yules... But I'm going to try to get Liliths before they go down. My wishlist is up to date with Weenies and Yules.

Are your Amazon, Etsy etc wishlists up to date?
They should be. Amazon has priority settings so please sort high to low; I wish we could do that with Etsy.

how do you feel about animated films?
I used to be way more into anime but I'm not really anymore. My son has stolen all of my Ranma 1/2 dvds. I still watch some disney and pixar movies occasionally. NMBC is love! I watch Coraline once a year or so. My current fave animated movies besides NMBC are Brave and How to Train Your Dragon.

Is there a book you've always meant to read, but never got round to it?
Sure, but I have them already. My amazon book wishlist is very up to date; the books I really want are marked as very high or high priority. I put lots of inexpensive kindle books on there too.

If you've expressed an interest in candles, do you prefer unscented or scented and if the latter, what scents?
Sorry, I've answered so many similar swap questions that I can't keep track of which is which anymore! I love beeswax pillars like the ones from Big Dipper Waxworks (not rolled beeswax, I prefer poured.) Candles with intent would be fine! I do prefer pillars over jars because wick placement is usually better in pillars. Scent wise I like things like Vanillas, spices (clove, cardamom, cinnamon in small amounts), woodsy, bayberry, smoky, incense, marshmallow, patchouli, resins, tobacco, lavender, geranium, sandalwood, rose, etc. and lean towards essential oil types of the scent. For example, I think the yankee candle lavender smells nothing like actual lavender. There are some candles on my etsy and amazon wish lists - there are some Witch City Wicks, Dark Candles, etc. that I have been lusting over but I can't justify spending monies on them.

Do you like windchimes or other similar tinkley noisemakers?
I would love some gargoyle windchimes. (I have some unicorn ones and some that I inherited from my grandmother. Most of the ones that I long after are probably too expensive.) I still kind of lust over a small gargoyle guardian bell (I think there is one on my amazon wishlist, they're meant to put on motorcycles.) If you were to find something cool like that, it would be great. I wouldn't say no to a tibetan singing bowl for my altar.

Do you/would you like Christmas/holiday music? If so, any particular genres or styles?
I already have a lot of Christmas holiday music from my favorite bands so no thank you.

Do you have a Goodreads? Is it useful for my stalking purposes?
I do have a goodreads but I don't think it would be useful for stalking purposes. My amazon would be more useful. (I like librarything better than goodreads but it still isn't completely updated because most of my books have been packed up for 15-20 years. Link is in my SW help.)

Are there any holiday movies or shows you would particularly love to get your hands on?
Maybe some of the nostalgic rudolph christmas animated movies? (Year without a Santa Claus)

Would you prefer your nourishment to be literal (i.e., actual food) or representative?
Totally up to you. Bath/body, food, whatever.

In terms of actual food, are you comfortable with homebaked goodies so long as potential allergens are not involved?
yes!

Do you have favorite holiday foodstuffs?
Last year I received a homemade christmas pudding and it was SO GOOD. I need the recipe! And then I bought some sticky toffee pudding from World Market and that was delicious too.

Are you adverse to burning things as part of your sacrifice?
Would rather not unless it's meant to be burnt (incense, candles, paper.)

So how do you feel about teas? Would you be interested in getting some for your "nourishment" part of your gift? If so, are there particular companies you love or have always wanted to try? Special varieties you like- holiday blends, or decaf or solid standards like Earl Grey or Sencha?
I have so much tea it isn't funny. I wouldn't ever say no to Mariage Freres though.

And what about tea accoutrements, like rock sugar, nice honey (I have a fabulous apiary that is literally 6 blocks from my house!), a special spoon?
I always love locally sourced honey. I could use a really large (32oz) teavana perfectea maker.

Or maybe coffee is more your thing? And would you want your beans whole or ground (if ground, what grind do you like?)
I'm good on coffee I think, unless you have a super special blend you want to share with me. I usually prefer whole bean but I am not sure I'll be able to find my grinder or my french press. The only coffee maker in the house right now is my dad's keurig.

Scented candle lovers: do you have a favorite store/brand?
Indie companies are love. I'd love to try Witch City Wicks or Dark Candles (there are some on my bath / beauty / fragrance amazon wishlist for a hint of what kind of fragrances I like.) I just ordered a bunch of candles from Sihaya and Co. because she was having a secret menu sale so I finally get to try those. I was hoping to get some for swapping but they aren't guaranteed to be mailed until the middle of december. Oops.

Favorite/Least favorite bath products (e.g. do you like scrubs, bar soap, gel)?
Favorites: shower gel, salt/oil scrubs
Least favorite: bar soap (because I make it and I have about 500 bars.)

No SLS or parabens, trying to avoid phthalates. My skin is uber dry from thyroid issues and also breaks out really easily.

What sounds are comforting for you? Any that bring up good memories?
Hoofbeats, saddle leather creaking, horse tails swishing, neighing. (Yes, I miss my horses.) I have lots of white noise generators on my phone and I use those to sleep when I'm away from home. At home I have a noisy air cleaner to provide white noise.

Do you like and use christmas/other celebration decorations, baubles and the like?
I used to buy a purple, iridescent, sparkly, or some kind of mystical creature (dragon, unicorn, grotesque) every year for my tree but haven't done that lately. My ex didn't really like having a real tree. I doubt we'll have a real tree this year either because I'm staying with my 70-something parents and they have a little fake tree that they like to put up. My mom already has all of the decorations she needs (and more.) I'm always sad that they don't have a fireplace - so no good place to hang stockings. (Yes, I still do a stocking for my kid who is almost 30 and for my parents, and they do one for me.) I have one of those aluminum trees with a disco light in storage somewhere with all of my Christmas decorations.

Would YOU like to receive a singing bowl?
Yes!

Would you mind receiving a pre-loved book (one in good condition)?
I have a really hard time reading physical books because of my eyes. My contact prescription is too strong to read things. I do all of my reading on my ipad these days with either ibooks or the kindle app.

How do you feel about fruitcake, assuming that I can make it without any stated allergens?
We just made cherry almond fruitcake today! That's the only fruitcake I've ever had that I liked.

How about rum/whiskey/bourbon balls (these are no-cook, so the alcohol is still pretty potent)?
Heck yeah!! But I don't like walnuts.

What is your favorite store-bought holiday treat?
such a hard question. maybe the chocolate covered peppermint joe-joes from trader joes? I already bought a couple of boxes though and I had two boxes leftover from last year since R wasn't around to eat them all. (Amazing how much longer my treats last without someone else to eat them all.) I'm having a hard time thinking of winter holiday treats... I can think of valentine day treats (cupcake royale's "Death Cake") but the brain fog is blocking my thoughts right now. oh! I was going to buy some Sticky Toffee Pudding from World Market but they didn't have any so we might attempt to make our own this year. Most of the "store bought" stuff I used to get was from local bakeries/stores/grocery stores, I miss all of my Seattle stores.

2022 This is Halloween answered questions

1.  Cellar Door just posted their Halloween goodies - I love their scents, soaps and candles - which of these might you fancy? https://cellardoorbathsupply.com/collections/halloween-fall-collection?  I'd REALLY like to try the Once Bitten soap and/or candles!!   Also Black No. 1, Sanderson Spice, Zombie Repellent, Lavender Pumpkin, , Michigan Moonglow, Graveyard Smash.  From their permanent collection, Sex Machine,  Tickled Pink (soon to be retired!!)   2.  If you'd like handmade knit items, are you good with soft wools or do you prefer acrylic only?    zomg, no acrylic unless for amigurumi.  I love merino, merino silk, merino cashmere..    2a. Are there any items you'd love for fall/halloweenie? (Ie mittens, hat, fingerless mitts, cowl, legwarmers) I always love fingerless mitts but I have really large hands so using stretchy cast ons and bind offs is a must!    I like double length cowls, shawlettes, etc.  Please look at my ravelry "make for me" bundle to get ideas. -- the gnomes and foxes are for my mom.  (I don't like traditional triangular shawls unless they are super special (like the bat and unicorn shadow knits or double knitting) and I don't wear hats except newsboy type caps with a brim or maybe some huge gothy sun hats.)   3.  Anyone fancying the new Paintbox Soapworks or Witch Baby Soap Halloween launches? I haven't looked at PBSW yet but I have a wishlist of their normal things and summer things.  I know nothing about Witch Baby Soap and I'm super picky about soap because my hands are super dry. edit:  I looked a PBSW and unfortunately most of their halloween stuff has at least one death note in each offering.   (I don't love coffee scented things or most floral, fruit, or dirt.) edit:  I looked at Witch Baby and I would be down with trying their bath potions, bath salts, bath bombs, hand sanitizer, hand salve, soap, scrubs, face mask, body butter (sample size?) etc. in any of my note preferred scents.  Here is what caught my eye:  (lots in case some sell out) Astrology Black Mass Charity Cord Cutter Dragon's Blood Gossip Stopper Hex Breaker Holy Smokes (bath potion) Initiation Laid out in Lavender Left Hand Bath Lunar Tide (face mask) Moon, The (face mask) Morpheus face soap Old Wise Man Psychic (anything, including hand sanitizer) Queen of Hearts (face mask) Rune Stone Salt of Venus (bath salt) Seance Seven Salts (bath salt) Virgo Birthday Cake     4.  Would you be interested in an adult Halloween coloring book? I recently backed on kickstarter for one by a local gothic art market near me and it's due in during the swap period. No thank you.  My hands and fingers do not love coloring.
  5.  What are some OCYL brands you've been wanting to dabble in? NAVA is my go to right now (but mostly vanillas, ambers, roses, musks, patchoulis.)  I would like try Cellar Door candles!  I've tried their soap and it was pretty fabulous (just the sample bars) so I'd love some full sized.  I'm open to try other OCYL brands for scrubs and bath products (but maybe not perfume) as long as sulfate, silicon, paraben, phthalate, etc. free.   6.  I am working on making bath bombs.  Would you be willing to try my creations?    Of course as long as they are sulfate, silicon, paraben, phthalate, etc. free.
6a.  How about wax tarts?    Of course!
6b. What type of scents do you favor?  I have covered this pretty thoroughly in my profile, SW help, and questionnaire I think!

7.  What kinds of home smell good things do you like? (I.e. incense, candles, wax melts, felt scent balls, essential oils, linen spray) Low smoke incense, high quality candles and wax melts, essential oils, linen & atmosphere spray, dryer scent balls, rose beads, car fresheners of all kinds, soap in with my shirts and socks and unmentionables, scent beads in little jars... I mean, if it smells good, I am HERE for it.  (I just have to make sure it doesn't set off my allergies or respiratory issues.)   8.  would you like anything from the bath and bodyworks Halloween line?    I really wanted their bat wallflower night light!  (I have a haunted house one from them.)   BUT I went into the store and my store had a really cool Raven (on a blue/gray pumpkin) wallflower night light!!!   I want it!!  I also sniffed all the things and added what I like to my amazon fragrance wishlist.  I was really happy to see that all of the aromatherapy body care is now made without sulfates, parabens, or artificial dyes.  I also saw a sign that their soaps are there too.  I hope the rest of their body care gets there.   So anyway, I would gratefully accept car scent refills (and I love the crescent moon car scent holder), wall flower refills (and the raven wallflower), pillow mists (the aromatherapy line), candles, and fragrance mists or spray perfume.  And antibac.     So here is my scent list:  Dark Amber & Oud (candle) Vanilla bean (candle) Pumpkin Bonfire (this totally smells like CLOVE.  which is hilarious because their "pumpkin clove" scent smells like cinnamon.)  (candle or wall flower) Warm Vanilla Sugar (wall flower) Vanilla Birch (wall flower) Enchanted Candy Potion (spray, wall flower, anti bac) Vampire Blood (car scent, anti bac) Into the Night (soap, mist, or spray perfume) Eucalyptus Sage (aromatherapy line - pillow mist) Cedar Ylang Ylang  (aromatherapy line - pillow mist) Lavender Vanilla  (aromatherapy line - pillow mist)   9.  Do you have any interest in spooky squishmallows?  YES ALL THE SPOOKY THINGS.  Especially bats.  I think their Plague Doctor is cute too.  Or am I thinking of Squishables?  Cthulhu always accepted.   Black Philip.  Baphomet.   10.  Would you enjoy spooky stationary?  I would love spooky stickers and blank cards with cute spooky artwork!  And some good quality ball point or gel pens.   11.  I know a lot of us are witchy and have deeply held beliefs about the materials we use as part of our practice. If you're one of those individuals, are there certain herbs, crystals, etc that you do not want to receive?  I can't think of any.   I'm set for smoke type sticks (we made our own with mugwort and lavender) but if you make them too, I would love one!  I don't need tumbled rocks / crystals and I'm probably set for small obsidian pebbles but I can always use palm stones / worry stones, beads, scrying mirrors, towers, orbs, etc.   12.  When you have a distinct preference for one holiday over another, What are some cross over items that actually work for both?  All of Nightmare before Christmas?  *head tilt*  I keep my Halloween stuff up all year so prefer things like NMBC, bats, corvids, gargoyles, skulls/skeletons and not things like witches, ghosts, zombies, pumpkins.  Oh, now that I read the question in the forum I see - between Halloween and Fall.  For me they are pretty much one in the same!  *grin*      13.  One question (that is actually several questions) -- Local honey?  YES ALL THE LOCAL UNPASTUERIZED HONEY!  (we make mead, so seriously -- all the honey.  Like there is never enough honey -- but I really don't want honey that is pasteurized or from grocery stores as imported honey is not checked by FDA and is often loaded with nastiness like antibiotics or other gross things and/or is fake.  Honey is one of the THIRD most faked products besides milk and olive oil and over a third of honey in US grocery stores has pollen filtered out and/or has other undeclared things added, like corn syrup or beet syrup.  Laboratories have figured out how to modify high fructose corn syrup to look like honey!)  SO LET'S SUPPORT OUR LOCAL BEEKEEPERS!!!   13a. Infused/flavored honey?  YES 13b. Local infused/flavored honey with Southwest notes (jalapeno, other pepper, mesquite, acacia)? YES   14.  Does anything from JiJi Knight spark your interest? https://jijiknight.com/  Not my style, sorry!   15.  Any spooky/weenie DVDs you're missing and would like in your collection? NMBC? the Crow? An old Hammer film? Dark Shadows? The Omen? Sleepy Hallow?...? I have a DVD/Blu-Ray wishlist on Amazon but I don't think any are especially spooky.  I really do most of my watching as streaming since I don't have a blu-ray / dvd player in my room. 16.  Dang (or good!), another serious question -- Shampoo and/or conditioner bars and if so, for what type of hair (dry, fine, oily, curly, normal)? I like shampoo and conditioner bars and other naked bath products.  I have fine straight hair that is going grey and hopefully will be colored again soonish.  Volume boost is my favorite.  No sulfates, etc.  please.  (curse LUSH for having sulfates in their shampoo bars!!)   17.  I just got the email that the Ectogasm Halloween Collection is live. Does anything interest you? https://www.ectogasm.net/collections/halloween I have some of their things on my etsy wishlist!   Bats, obviously.  Carpe Noctem.  Red Rose Planchette.  Winged skull washi tape!  Moon and Roses stained glass sun catcher.  Miskatonic University pin.     18.  On a scale from Paprika Is a Heatwave to Let Me Eat a Peck of Pickled Ghost Chiles, how spicy is too spicy, and how spicy is just right? Jalapeno and Smoked Jalapeno (Chipotle) are my favs.  I go through the tabasco sauces of those two like water!  We make candied jalapenos and I have lots of chipotle powder and dried jalapeno and such.  Would be up for trying hot sauces similar!  (I have Yellowbird Jalapeno sauce and the Trader Joes jalapeno sauce.)     19.  I make lightweight hairfalls- would you be interested in some? Either to incorporate into a costume or just for your own year-round use? If so, name your colors and preferred length, and if you have any fiber allergies you want me to take note of! I have some hairfalls and never ever wear them (nor do I even leave the house most of the time) so would be wasted on me right now.     20:  If I were to make you a set of arm warmers/ fingerless mitts, what color(s) & style would you like?  Gothy.  Black/Purple or Black/White stripes Long or short?  Medium   21.  Homemade canned and baked and concocted goodies? Any aversions?  Bring 'em on!  (I don't like Okra so no canned okra please.)   22.  If I could make you some of my fudge, what would you prefer?   ALL OF THEM.  And the Penuche without nuts.   23.  Are you open to trying different indie perfume houses if I find a scent that I think you'd enjoy? Maybe if it's in an atomizer?  I haven't had good luck with most indie perfumers besides NAVA and BPAL, and BPAL is starting to not work on me (probably because of all of the medication I have to take.)   24.  I love making stickers!! If I could design you some stickers, what would you love to have? It could be halloween themed or not! My art style is a bit simplistic, cartoony, and cutesy, I usually draw fairies but last year I did a swap on reddit and made someone a bunch of halloween dog stickers lol. (Sidenote: They probably won't be waterproof, but they're glossy vinyl!) Bats!  And my dogs or pigs would be cool.   25.  I've got a bunch of small round labels perfect for bpal 5ml label lid art! Name your top 5-10 scents that you'd love to have lid art made for! Just as a fun little extra in your package if desired  (Could also work for other companies with lids just like the BPAL bottles) Eternal Ankh, Lavender Dolphin, Snake Oil, Satyr, Foxes with Sweaters and Scarves, Unicorns & Stars, Vampire Rose Bat, Vampire Vanilla Bat, Polychrome, Tomb of the Undead   26.  I'm going to Disneyworld in late September! I'll be going to all four parks and attending both the Not-So-Scary Halloween Bash and Epcot's Food and Wine Festival. Is there ANYTHING from Disney that you would like? Is there something you collect that perhaps you'd enjoy a Disney version of (tea, socks, enamel pins, plushies etc etc etc)??? Take me with you!    Anything and everything NMBC (not socks though since I have huge feet.)     27.  Would you like any decor from Say Target, Homewood, or William and Sonoma? I have lots of ideas for decor on my amazon lists under furniture & home, everyday is halloween, etc.  so if you see something you think I'd like, go for it!  Preferably nothing orange/gold/bronze.  (I do silver toned or black metals, otherwise purple, black, jewel toned blues (no navy), grey, black & white, cool leaning burgundy/dark reds.)     28.  I am going to Dragon Con for the first time! Which of these BPALs do you want?  If they have Snake Milk or anything else on my BPAL wish list, I'm game but no peaches please.   29.  But, I am going to Dragon Con this weekend. Is there anything you would like? Lab wise or just general geekery I'm sure there are tons of things sold at the conventions that I would adore but I'll leave it up to your judgement!  I used to get a lot of jewelry at cons back in the day.     *skipping 30-37 because I asked those*   38.  I make specialty simple syrups. You can use them in teas or cocktails (and desserts).  How do you feel about a Hibiscus simple syrup? I use 2 ounce bottles for these so its just a fun amount.  Yum!!!   39.  Format for tea? e.g. teabag vs loose I prefer loose but sometimes I can only get teabags so those are ok as well.  (also tea pods for k-cup machines.)   40.  Do you like spooky themed tights? If so, what are your measurements? No tights please.   41.  Pls post your book wishlist! It's on Amazon, link is under SW help.  I only do epub/mobi (I guess kindle is changing to epub soon, so that is preferable) and I get so many books from the library that I only want the HIGH and HIGHEST priority -- OR if one of the discworlds goes on sale for $1 or something.  I pre-ordered Nona the Ninth kindle but I would love the whole Locked Tomb series on audiobook!   42.  Would you like to receive a 2D collage art piece? What overall vibe would you be into? (spooky, autumnal, whimsical, eerie, lovely, occult, bizarre, smutty etc.?) I'm not sure I'm super into collage but if it's gargoyles/grotesques/bats/ravens and mostly black/white/purple, it could be ok?  (Having a hard time envisioning.)   43.  Do you like rocks/gemstone jewelry? Prefer polished/smooth rocks or raw/rough? Any favorite stones, rocks, colors that you'd like? I don't really wear jewelry right now, but I'd love some stretchy gemstone bracelets to use as shawl fasteners.  I have a bunch on my amazon jewelry list to give you an idea of stones I like.  I also love palm stones, worry stones, pocket pebbles, towers, orbs... I mostly like shiny unless geode or pretty crystal structure.  Charging slabs are good too.  I could use a much larger piece of Auralite 23 and I always love Aqua Aura.  Blues, purples, blacks, greys, or for purpose/intent.     44.  Any interest in the August releases that got announced today? https://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/product-tag/august-2022/ Unfortunately, yes!   Ceres (decant), Charcoal Champa Resin Tobacco (decant or bottle), Empowering (TAL, decant or bottle), Forge of Vulcan (decant), Lavender Buttercream (bottle), Moon when the Cherries Turn Black (BOTTLE!).   I might end up ordering the lunacy and lavender buttercream if they don't sell out before I get some $$$.     45.  Luvmilks seasonal goodies are out! What scents and formats appeal to you, my little pumpkin?   https://www.luvmilk.com/mm2022.html#/ Dusting Powder:  Scarecrow with Girlfriend or Lover Bath Milk or Salts, Sugar Scrub, :  Clown with Girlfriend, Pegasus with Girlfriend, Scarecrow with Girlfriend or Lover   And I always adore their lip balm in Baby Bat and Aphrodite's Altar.   46.  Would you like a Pyrex 4-cup Nightmare Before Christmas bowl with lid?   (Can also get Starwars and various Disney ones.) I have enough of the 4 cup and 7 cup but I'd love one of the rectangular ones if you can find it!  (and I love pyrex 4 cup with bats!!)   47.  August Tea's fall sale starts tomorrow, 20% off everything on the site with code FALL20.  Is there anything you would like to try, my Pumpkin? https://august.la/ OMG YES.  I have all kinds of wishes from here under my amazon beverage list.   48.  I've recently taken up embroidery, would you like a small (I embroider on 4" hoops) embroidered piece? What sort of design would you like? BAT... or pibble.   (NAIL POLISH - covered in questionnaire I think??)   49.  Would you like either a basket or a tablemat (that works as a place to put hot dishes as well as being decorative). Yes!!!  Either or both.  Preference to basket if just one.   50.  I'm going to the farmer's market tomorrow, and there are lots of great vendors. Would you be interested in soap or chapstick or bath/body products?  Whatever you think I might love!   51.  Would you be interested in a tumbler like these? If so, what theme would you like it to be? Glitter or no glitter? What color do you want the liquid to be or would you prefer the blood drip look?  Pass, thank you!   52.  How do you feel about ribbons?  Is there anything in particular you are looking for if you'd want some?  What about ribbon remnants?  Colors/textures? I don't really use ribbons but thank you!   53.  Would you be interested in any skincare items?  Anything you would not want? Ummm anything that's in my bath/fragrance/whatever amazon wish list or similar!  (no sulfates, parabens, ptha-mumble-ates)   54.  Is anyone else interested in the latest Sphere & Sundry release? https://sphereandsundry.com/offerings/bpals-of-exalted-venus-ii/ Or other S&S offerings? Always!  Anything you think I'd like.   55.  Do you have any interest in trying my infused moonshine whiskey? I've been thinking of experimenting with autumn spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove) and maybe a chocolate chai.  Of course!!  Nom!     56.  Any interest in spooky shape wax melts in your favorite candle scents? (What are your favorite candle scents?) Sure!  Probably vanillas, marshmallow, patchouli, clove... same as perfume scents too.  I used to have a spiced plum candle I adored.  I like men's/unisex fragrances in candles as well, like Drakkar Noir, CK1, CKB.  Nostalgic.   Witches Brew from Yankee is one of my favorite scents!    I probably have candle and melt scents on my wishlist (under PBSW), etsy lists, maybe amazon fragrance list, and up above under the Bath & Bodyworks question since I liked some of their candle scents this year.   57.  How about lotion bars? I like the concept but I never use them and they end up going bad.     58.  Bird and Blend tea just did their Autumn drop! Anything look good to you? https://www.birdandblendtea.us  (Also, if you're not a pumpkin person, I invite you to check out the rest of their offerings, which are always exceptional!)     I already have ALL the Bird & Blend on my amazon beverages wishlist.     Love love love!  (For the autumn season, maybe the sticky pumpkin chai, campfires & vampires?)  And Butter Brew!     59.  Arcana Craves halloween drop! Anything catching your eye?  https://arcanacraves.com/ No, I don't do Arcana much anymore, thank you.   60.  I feel like with some of the witchy/seasonal stuff it might be helpful to know everyone's signs.  If you're interested in that kind of thing, what's your sign?  Virgo   61.  Would you like anything from The Pickety Witch? (I'm going to the Vegas Oddities and Curiosities Expo next weekend, and she's vending there, so it may not matter if an item is in stock or not on the website!) https://www.thepicketywitch.com/ UM YES OMG THE BABY GOAT PLUSHIES  BAPHY in purple or black!  Plus I have had their Black Philip pin on my etsy wishlist for years, I'm glad to see they've expanded and now have their own website and a larger line of things!   PINS in no particular order:   Learning to Summon, Harvest Crow, Demon Cat, Unicorn of the Forbidden Forest, Peony Witch Hat, Witch Boots, Ghost Goat.   (her bats have dangling things on them which to my autistic self is a big NOPE.)   Only silver ones though?  I didn't realize some are rose gold or copper or other colors.   62.  so these nail polishes keep showing up on my instagram and they are kinda vampy--do you wear polish and do any of these float your boat?  NOTE I have never worn Holo Taco stuff so cannot vouch for quality just the vibes are super witchy 🙂 https://www.holotaco.com/collections/dark-rainbow-collection I haven't actually painted even my toes for over a year so I'm going to say no.   63.  Favorite bands/artists? Perhaps you'd be interested in a DIY patch to sew onto your jacket/pants/bag or maybe pins or a sticker or anything DIY-ish? I don't wear a jacket or coat that you can sew things onto or carry any bags.  Or wear pants much, haha.  (PJ's forever!)   So I'm going to say no.   64.   Is there anything from Lush you are coveting?  Their halloweenie stuff is out here: https://www.lushusa.com/halloween/?cgid=halloween&pmid=604&start=0&sz=28 I have my LUSH wishes on my Amazon bath & beauty & fragrance list.     65.   sock dreams?  yea or nay?  Anything in particular catch your eyes? Keep in mind that I only wear socks literally maybe once or twice a year in the winter when I am forced to actually leave the house to go somewhere (feeding animals doesn't count because I just slip on lined boots without socks.)  But I do have sock dreams wishes on my Wishlist / SW help.   66.   https://rockytopsoap.com   Do you have any interest in these? Star Anise lip balm.  Maybe the most moisturizing?  (Triple butter, oatmeal, avocado.)   67.   Nocturne Alchemy just dropped their Halloween 2022 limited collection! I am popping in here to see if anything would strike the fancy of my pumpkin? 😁 https://nocturnealchemy.com/collections/limited-collection/products/new-halloween-2022-limited-collection I am ordering Googly Bat, Vintage Werewolf, and the Sommeil but I added others to my Wishlist / SW Help.  I especially want Neon Wolf, and Neon Vampiress and lots of decants!   68.  Here's a question... there's sooooooo many on here about tea but for my fellow coffee gals... do you prefer whole bean or ground??  if there's a choice how do you like your coffee ground?? I don't know where any of my coffee makers are right now (french press or toddy, that's all I really use) so I'm using my parent's keurig.   So, kcups.     I mean, I *do* know where my grinder is and I could do the self made k-cups, but it's unlikely I would actually do it since it seems like someone is always in the way.   69.  Look at Cat Coven's site and tell me what you see that appeals - she is one of my favorite Halloweeny artists, and makes awesome things. I like supporting her work. https://www.catcoven.com/collections/new-arrivals I used to have things from Cat Coven on one of my amazon lists but I can't remember off the top of my head what it was.  I don't use patches and their "curious wanderer" pin (and dragon) are gold colored, puke.   I do love the Fantasy Creatures (x-ray) pillow case.  And Metamorphosis (lavender.)     70.  Are you interested in any art supplies? If so, what kinds and colours? Right now I think I'm good really except for maybe some cool findings in end caps but I don't know exactly what size I need so I suck, sorry.
71.  What are your fave smells for incense, and do you have a preference for format (cones, stick, loose without needing charcoal, loose that needs charcoal)? Same as my fave smells for everything else really?   Vanilla, Nag Champa, Rose, Sandalwood, Dragon's Blood -- I have some incense on my fragrance wishlist.  I love blends too?  I just need low smoke if possible, or I'll have to burn it outside.  I love resins and loose incense for charcoal but I rarely use it because of the smoke involved, only in the fall, winter, or spring when I can be outside without roasting or being eaten by bugs.   (I guess that's coming up!!)  I really need more SAND for my charcoal!!   The darn dogs spilled my last bit of sand that was in my burner.  I'd love red, black, purple, or white sand.
72.  Anything catch your eye from this super cool queer creepy-cute style UK artist? https://www.abprallen.co.uk/ too pastel!  Do not like the colors.  Sorry.   73.  Pls say more about your book preferences if you haven't already! Esp. regarding fiction. The only books I would SUPER love are Seanan Maguire's new October Daye book (Be the Serpent) on kindle, and OMG THE GOLDEN ENCLAVES coming out later this month on kindle.  Or the Locked Tomb series on audio (I already have the kindle books for all three - Gideon, Harrow, and Nona - so I can buy the audible books for $7.95 each and I'm not sure if someone else can buy them for you, so a GC would work best in this regard probably?)
