Switch Witch questions - Summer 2013

I noticed on my witchee's list that links to wishlists were broken. So, I'm including them here. Please don't think you have to buy me anything off my wishlists - it's just to help give you some ideas.   http://amzn.com/w/37M6OL5HRAG3T http://www.kaboodle.com/tdgnika/the-big-kaboodle-list-of-doom.html http://www.thinkgeek.com/brain/gimme.cgi?wid=81d1a3987     Also, I'm woefully behind on questions, so I've pasted the questions here with a marker for myself with where to resume.   Link to past SW questions   Condiments:   Whatever that question was about shades of blue, I don't actually like many blues, but I do like midnightblue2 (hex #000033), darkslategray4 (hex #528B8B0), and blue bird (hex #4973AB) from this website: http://www.december.com/html/spec/color3.html   Anything from Villainess that strikes your fancy, either from their update or from the GC? I don't follow their releases much, so I don't.   If I wanted to include something for your fluffball, what would be good, and what should I stay away from? My cats like cat nip, and my dogs like treats that are small.   Would homemade treats be something you'd like for your dog/cat? Definitely, for my dogs! As long as they're small or easily crumbled for my toothless girl. My cats have such finicky stomachs, that I probably wouldn't give any to them.   If you get a long weekend this weekend... what are you doing with it? Staying in? Going out? Family? Friends? If you don't get a long weekend, are you OK with that, or a little sad? (If you are Canadian, apply this to last weekend). I attended a funeral and painted my house. Today, I am nursing my injuries. It was kind of sucky, but I'm glad it's all done.   Would you be interested in getting a kombucha starter and instructions on how to use it to easily make your own fermented, probiotic tea drink? I'd definitely try it. I tried making viili (fermented yogurt) and it died a stinky death, but my sourdough starter is going well.   Anything interesting from the new Paintbox Soapworks update for you? I can't figure out which things are part of the update, but I do have some of her stuff on my Etsy wishlist.   What about recycled sari silk yarn, witches and witchees? Wouldn't have much use for it.   Sooo, the Blooddrop update (Aviary and Summer Simplicities). Anything you'd like from there? Not familiar with their stuff.   DEAR FIBER AND YARN PEOPLE: I am going back to Paradise Fibers today. They have like almost every type of fiber roving and dye and stuff available. If you're a spinner and have any fiber wishes, what would you like? Dyed or natural? Do you need dye? colors? brand? I'm not a spinner. Spinning makes me dizzy.   Every package has to have something blue in it. Blue can also be used to describe more risque humor...how would you rate your general sense of humor? Are you strictly PG-13, R-rated, NC-17? I would say that nearly anything goes. I like my humor dark, twisted and subtle. I will say that if it's overly sexual, I don't find it funny - doesn't usually offend me, it just seems excessive.   Do you like puzzles? What kind? Jigsaw, word, etc? All of the above! Logic puzzles, jigsaw, word puzzles, love them all!   I know Canadian chips can be different than others, how does "dill pickle" or "ketchup" sound? Not very good, I'm afraid.   If you were getting a custom Haus of Gloi blend, what four notes would you choose? Summer notes listed here and you can click through to the whole list from there. http://www.hausofglo...er-single-notes I'm afraid none of the summer notes usually work on me. But, from the whole list: vanilla bean, sandalwood, leather and leaf pile.   QUESTION! Do you like Kickstarter? Are there any projects up that you really like? I'm not familiar enough with any current projects to really know.   QUESTION! If you have an Etsy wishlist, what are your top 5 favorite things on there? The price is unimportant, not because I'm rich, but because I'd like some inspiration. Practical thing: http://www.etsy.com/listing/128993380/ceramic-french-butter-dish-keeper-black?ref=col_view Because every car I ever own should have one of these: http://www.etsy.com/listing/154389521/eat-the-rude-hannibal-lector-vinyl-car?ref=col_view Because my love for this has already been established as fact: http://www.etsy.com/listing/75489373/the-englishman-luxury-glycerin-soap?ref=col_view Because it's funny: http://www.etsy.com/listing/68096798/retro-vintage-beware-pickpockets-and?ref=col_view Even though it's sold, it's so awesome and evil-cute: http://www.etsy.com/listing/83823123/she-bakes-poison-apple-pies-halloween?ref=col_view   Festival this week -- includes an "encampment" and an art faire. any interest in trinkety things from the encampment or cards/prints from local artists. That sounds lovely!   How do you feel about glitter? does loose glitter make your skin crawl or would you bathe in it? Glitter just becomes something my dogs may eat. I'm afraid I don't like glitter.   Do you want/need/like/collect journals? If so, do you prefer lined or unlined? I don't really use journals much, I'm afraid.   Does the idea of wearing a plant as jewelery give you the warm fuzzies or the heebie jeebies? Um, a bit of the heebie jeebies. I don't think I would actually wear it.   Gourmet popcorn, yes/no? What do you like: glazed, savory, candied? Nuts or not? Any flavors you wouldn't like (like Bacon CHeeseburger, Pizza, Watermelon, Root Beer Float, Hot Chili Dark Chocolate)? Or if any of those sounded interesting, how weird is weird enough? I'll be honest, those flavors sound way too weird to me. Caramel corn, kettle corn or popcorn with nuts sound good though.   Question: I make my own hair gloss, would you like some detangling and very shiny hair gloss made by me? This is a 'cone rich blend, not the least bit natural. That sounds wonderful!   I live near the Brown and Haley outlet - makers of Almond Roca and Mountain Bars - would you want anything from the outlet? For nut-haters, they have nutless Roca For the no-sugar folks they have sugar-free as well. I've not had those things, but I'd try them.   I also have an Oberto jerky outlet local to me - any wants there? I don't like jerky.   How do you feel about home-canned goods? Yum-tastic!   What size do you wear of:   Baby-doll T's - XXL Regular T's - L or XL, depending if it's men's or women's sizes yoga pants - XL or XXL (mostly to get enough length)   Also, what is your favorite lunacy (or non-lunacy) T-shirt that you don't already own? I don't have any lunacy t-shirt. I think the sizes run a bit small for me? I do really like the Alchemist's Local black long-sleeved one. Or other clothes from BPTP? I do like the yoga pants.   What else do you love from the Trading Post site, and need to have?   Is there a particular movie genre that you like (Fantasy? Drama? Romantic Comedy? Musicals? TV-Series, etc), and what format would you prefer: DVD, Blu-Ray, or something in the cloud (like Amazon, iTunes, Flixster, etc)? I like sci-fi, horror, suspense, superhero movies, and thrillers. I don't like to really own movies, though.   -Following up on the Adagio question from earlier, what are you top five wishes, for teas and blends? chai, blackberry, ginger peach, christmas, and tiger eye -Do you have anything that you do ritually, every summer? Farmer's market, ice cream at the student union, outdoor movies on the student union terrace -What are your top five wishes from ThinkGeek? http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/f141/ - XL http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/a231/ - XL http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/f106/ - XXL http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/b3b2/ - XL http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/12d8/ - XXL   Do you like audiobooks? If so, do you have/would you like to try Audible? (I'm an addict, myself.) I listen to Audible on the commute to and from work.   Chocolate: Love? Hate? Allergic? If love, what are your faves? Love! Moderately dark chocolate, milk chocolate, chocolate with nuts, chocolate and peanut butter.   Do you have any long trips coming up? If so, could you use things to occupy yourself? Nope, my dogs do not let me vacation.   Does anything from the TP Etsy update interest you? TP?   I just found out Oreo is launching ones with watermelon flavor in the USA only. Is it something you would enjoy? Yuck! I don't like Oreos.   If you don't consider yourself in a "fandom" (and I get that ... I don't really go overboard on my liking of any TV show/Movie/etc), are there any TV shows or Movies that you really like and/or watch regularly or any actors/actresses you wouldn't leave standing in the rain (unless you like looking at them sopping wet, in which case ... well, nevermind)? Nathan Fillion, the TV show Hannibal, Walter from Fringe (though not in a sexy way ), Sherlock, The Avengers, Donal Logue, Philip Seymour Hoffman   So, dear witchee, would you like some Tw*twaffle soap or scent or lotion? I can't find a description of it, so I don't know.   Has anyone asked about tattoos? Do you love them? Hate them? Have any? Want any? I have two - one back piece that reaches from the bottom of my bra to the top of my underwear, and shows a woman with water for hair, wings (for air), wearing only a vine, and standing in fire, with the quote "I am here to live out loud." I have another small blackwork piece on my shoulder - I need to get it touched up or added to - it's a peace sign with a heart around it, a rising sun, and an anarchy symbol. There are a few more that I'd like to get - still have to design them.   If you knit/crochet, what sizes of needles do you need? For the tiny amount of crocheting that I do, I'm set for needles.   What styles of artwork do you like? Art nouveau, interesting portrait photography, Rene Magritte, Bolshevik-era-style posters   If you cook, would you be interested in-hand made spice mixes/rubs? Definitely, as long as they're not spicy (cayenne spicy, I mean)   Would you like mexican vanilla or silver rings/necklaces? Hell yes!   The Conjure Oils update (http://conjureoils.com/emporium.htm) looks absolutely fabulous...I didn't know she made soaps and candles and whanot. Is there anything from the Oddment Emporium you would like? The ones that otherwise look interesting have patchouli in them.   What is your favorite color? Chocolate brown   What is your favorite season? Autumn - the leaves, the smell, the pumpkins, Halloween, the colors, the crisp note in the air.   If you could live anywhere in the world and money was no object, where would it be? I do very much love Madison. But, if I had to choose, New Orleans' Garden District (with very good air conditioning), or the Tuscany region of Italy (I don't even know why - I've never been there - it just seems lovely)   Do you have any symbols or totems that are meaningful to you? A rising sun, or a sun in general.   When you are having a really rough day, what do you like to do/have to make it a little brighter? Eat ice cream, though I'm trying to break the habit of using food for my mood. Play some World of Warcraft. Walk one of my dogs. Read a good novel while I drink some tea and listen to jazz or classical.   Would you like if your witch sent a regional pop/soda? If so, what type (Root beer, creme soda, cola, citrus-flavored, chocolate-flavored, etc...)? I'm not much of a soda drinker.   Ninjas or Pirates? Pirates Werewolves or vampires? Vampires Zombie or Cthulhu? Both   Do you want to receive one big package or a bunch of small ones? Digital stuff all at the end when the box should arrive or as we go? Whatever you prefer is fine.   Do you welcome knitted items? If so, what would you like most? (amigurumi, washcloth, socks, shawl, shawlette, scarf, wrist warmers, hat, etc.) Do you have any favorite fibers? How about any fiber allergies? Favorite color for knitted items? I don't know think I'd find amigurumi very useful, and I don't think I'd want a knitted washcloth. My hair does not do well with hats. But, socks, shawl, shawlette, scarf, or wrist warmers all sound lovely. Wool is too itchy for me. But, other than that, I don't have any fiber preferences.   Is there a Quote that resonates with you, or that you particularly like a lot. Would this be something you would like artwork made of for your walls or a shirt/bag/scarf? My two favorite quotes are: "There is always a way." and "If you are not for yourself, who will be?"   Also, STARBUCKS, Yay or Nay? Anything you particularly like? I do like Starbucks chai tea, but I tend to go for the smaller, local coffeeshops more often.   Is there someone on the forums (within SW or not) who knows you really well and might be able to help with stalking? Apple and Yewberry   If you happen to find out who yours is, how much would it bother you? Not at all. I'm terrible at guessing, so you're probably safe.   Do you use waxmelts or tarts? If so, which ones do you prefer? I don't. I can't be home when I burn smelly stuff, though I burn incense when I'm gone. But, unattended flame with cats and dogs - not so much.   Do you enjoy drinking hot chocolate, and would you like stuff to make it with, or to add to it? I do enjoy hot chocolate. As long as it doesn't have cayenne, or mocha flavor or mint in it, I'm on board.   Have you ever tried Spoonfudge? Would you enjoy it if your Witch would send you some? Which of the flavors would you like? I haven't tried Spoonfudge, but I tend to like my fudge either straight chocolate, with nuts, with peanut butter, or with cinnamon.   What's your opinion on Moonalisa? Any favorites or products you'd like to try? I've not heard of them before. But, in perusing their website, some of the shampoos, the hair conditioner, and the sugar incense look interesting. There's a number of scents that look interesting - lots of spicy (nutmeg, cinnamon, etc) ones, chai tea ones, and woodsy smoke ones, though she uses patchouli in a couple that look otherwise intriguing.   Are there any BPALs that you loved the idea of, the imagery - whether artwork or description - but which didn't work out for you? (I'm asking because if they did, you might mention them elsewhere, but if not, the imagery might be helpful) I have a horrible memory for BPAL names and descriptions, I'm afraid.   what is your favourite object, that you own, ignoring sentimental reasons for attachment? So I guess something you find beautiful, or fun, or incredibly useful. Hmmm...I guess I'd say my laptop. It's the computer I use at work, the computer I often use for leisure. Because it's a laptop, it grants me freedom to work in a lot of places. It has a BPAL sticker on it, and an Urban Honey sticker for my friend's honey CSA. Either that, or my bamboo spoons. I use them to stir bread dough, cookie dough and the custard mixture for ice cream.   How big is too big...for something to hang on your walls? If I'm painting you a pretty picture, are there maximum dimensions that you have/prefer? I don't think I actually have maximum dimensions. I have several blank walls in the house, so it's pretty much a blank slate.   Gift cards/vouchers - yay or nay? If you like them - which stores would you like one for? Sure - hmm...maybe ThinkGeek.com or SockDreams.com or Cost Plus World Market?   Is there anything from Australia you would like? eg: snacks (yes, you can ask for Tim Tams!), books, magazines, memorabilia? I'm not sure of what I like that is specifically Australian.   Do you have any problems with swearing or particularly off-color humor? Not at all.   What style is your sense of humour? Dark, dry and sarcastic.   Opinions on table top games, from cards and board games, to dice and rpgs. What do you like? What don't you like? Favorites? Any classics you like? Do you collect any? Love them all. I don't get a chance to play RPGs anymore, but I do still get together to play board games with friends. I really like 7 Wonders, Agricola, and the ones put out by the people who make Last Night on Earth.   What would you like from the most recent BPAL update? What are you planning on buying for yourself and what would you like to try? I haven't looked. I seldom permit myself to spend money on myself.   Is there a literary character you identify with? Even if it's not spot-on, just someone you found yourself having that "I identify with this" feeling? Lisbeth Salander from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series. And the lead character from Barbara Kingsolver's The Bean Trees.   What are the three books you most want to read right now, and which you don't already have? Oh, so, so many.   Would you like something from Empire Edibles? (http://www.etsy.com/...s?ref=top_trail) Not looking, not looking! Tasty spice and tea things.......aaaaaaaaahh!   Is there anything small you try to collect from everywhere you visit? Not really, besides food.   Witchee, I know that SW isn't about what you get... but could you name one thing you would be heartbroken not to get and one thing you would be a-ok if it didn't make it in your box? (i.e. do you REALLY want perfume oil of some sort, or would you be totally heartbroken if there was no Lush in your box, etc. I think if there was no love, no thought put into it. I played one round several years ago, and my witch sent me one package full of almost expired stuff from Lush, where she worked, no note, some of it opened. It was so hastily thrown together and there was no care or personal touch involved.   Do you like tarot cards, pendulums and rune stones etc? If so, what type? I do. I use tarot more than runes, and I've never played around with a pendulum before.   What fandoms do you belong to? I don't know if I "belong" to any, but I really like Firefly (Browncoats!), Hannibal, Star Trek, most J.J. Abrams and Joss Whedon stuff. I'm not rabid about any of them, but I really like them.   What cheers you up? Watching an episode of Sherlock. Playing World of Warcraft. Going for a hike in a lovely marsh across town.   Who or where would you most want to haunt? Who would you least want to be haunted by? I think I would haunt the Garden District in New Orleans. I would least want to be haunted by my father (who is still alive, mind you, but when he dies.)   What question do you hate to answer? I hate answering questions about my Smart Car. I never would have bought the thing had I known how many random people would stop me in parking lots to ask me stupid questions.   What is the best compliment you have/could receive? If someone is bowled over by one of my baked goods.   Would you like anything from an European country? Any particular food or goodies, magazines, books, whatever would be available to your witch in his/her country. There were these carmelized cookie/cracker things I had in Ireland that were delicious - kind of like gingersnaps. Otherwise, whatever!   Do you like bags? If so, what type (rucksack, clutch, shopping bag) colour and would you like/need a new one? I seldom use bags, so I'm afraid not.   What's your favourite comfort food(snack or candy etc) and/or drink? The easy ones are ice cream or chocolate cookies. If I am looking for a more in-depth, kick-back and relax kind of thing, I get fancy chocolate milk, wheat thin style crackers and some good provolone cheese.   Would you be interested in someone writing out for you a favourite recipe, or finding or devising one which they think you'd like? If so, please provide your favourite ingredients, info on how you like to cook/store and use food, and any intolerances - unless all of these are in your questionnaire, or you don't like the idea. (I'm not saying I'd definitely do this, unless someone is keen, and it wouldn't be the only gift). I guess for other witches this might include something like a knitting pattern - not my thing but would you like that? Or indeed would you like a picture created for you (if so what kind) or a story written? (sorry if this feels a bit Spanish Inquisition!) A recipe sounds lovely. I'd love some interesting flavor variations on sourdough bread - I keep making the same base recipe over and over. I'd love a step-by-step guide on safely making and canning various tomato sauces and jams.   If you knew you were going to live comfortably for say 800 years, what profession, calling or project might you pursue with some of your extra years, which you imagine you may not do in the life that you have? Is there any thing - an object, a donation on your behalf, some research done for you, whatever - that your witch could do about this that you would like? And if you can't think of a present, would you rather she/he (I!) didn't either and confined themselves to things you are already involved in? I always have said that the only way I could finish my reading list is to become a vampire and, thus, immortal. I think I would go to library school, but the current economic climate is not the time to be getting involved in library science.   What colors/style is your kitchen decor? And do you entertain in your home? Red and black - devils. We seldom entertain because of barky dogs.   Are your ears pierced? Yes.   Do you like stuffies/stuffed animals/art doll type thingies? If so, any particular type you'd love to get? No, I'm afraid not. They'd just be dust collectors that my dogs would steal and chew on.   Switch Witch is, of course, all about you.....but if your Witch was so inclined, are there wee little ones in your home that will get jealous and are just too young to understand why you won't share the love, who maybe need a touch of Witchee love all their own, to distract them while you hide all your lovelies?!? Nope, no little ones here.   Do you read literature/culture blogs or websites of any kind? I'm thinking about anything that would help a putative witch to get a sense of what your current tastes in books, movies, games, genres, approaches to culture and literature and so forth are. Hmmm...that's tough. Since I work with the internet, I don't spend a lot of leisure time on the internet. I do read slate.com on occasion.   How do you feel about traditional picnics (namely the intimate table for two variety)? Old-fashioned basket or something more utilitarian (cooler/insulated bag)? It's hard for me to sit on the ground for extended periods - hooray for 70-year-old joints in a 39-year-old body! So, I'd picnic, but it'd have to be while I'm fishing or hiking - moving around.   If you were put in a room with 100 random other people the same age and sex as you, from your country, in what way do you think you would be different from the average? I think I answered this on the forum and gave some semi-accurate answer. I differ from others because not only do I think dogs are cuter than kids, I don't have kids and don't plan on any. My tastes run very dark. Things that some people are grossed out by, disturbed by, are some of my favorite things (I'm thinking specifically of horror movies, Hannibal Lecter, etc). I usually root for the bad guy in movies, but seldom in life. I'm an giant introvert and never seem to get enough alone time.   Haus of Gloi did a Reverie update! Do any of them interest you? (Or anything else up currently?) I'm not familiar with Haus of Gloi, but I'd be open to being enabled.   Witchee, do you cook? Do you do all the cooking? Is it a chore or a pleasure? I cook and do most of the cooking. It's both a chore and a pleasure, depending on the day. I'd love to have more free time to cook more elaborately.   Which reading level do you prefer to read in YA or Adult? Or even both? I usually read adult works, but I did enjoy Hunger Games, The Wrinkle in Time series, etc.   If you could have one rare bpal which one would you choose? I don't actually keep track of which BPALs are rare or not. There might be some on my wishlist - I don't have any idea.   (Feel free not to answer, I know it's not a standard one!) Are you kinky? Not so much these days, which is kind of sad.   Do you enjoy scented candles? Certain sizes that you like? What kind of scents or brands? I do like them - tapirs, pillars... pretty much all sizes. I like similar scents that I like in my BPAL scents as well as some of the "clean" scents like linen.   Thoughts about South Africa? Have you been here, would you like to go? Would you like to receive anything South African? I'd love to go. Hell, I'd love to go everywhere. I'm not familiar with things that are specifically South African, but I'm sure I'd be open to it. As long as it's not a vuvuzela.   Do you like Sockdreams? If so, what styles would you prefer? (You can also link your wishlist.) I love sockdreams! I like the arm warmers that have thumb holes, as long as they're not wool. And I like ankle socks and knee socks, just not over the knee.   Do you need hair accessories? If so, what kind or color? I have a big mass of long hair, so only really big hair ties and barrettes work for me. Big wide headbands are good too.   Do you have any kitchen gadgets (a SodaStream, a Kuerig/Tassimo) that you want mix things for? Nope. I lust after a KitchenAid stand mixer, but don't get me that!   If you were to start learning something new (intellectual or craft or hobby), what would it be? Oh gosh, that's a long list. I'm going to be co-running a learning venue that holds little classes. The first one I'm going to teach is on the Japanese tea ceremony, and I'm taking one on bookbinding from my co-runner person. I want to learn a lot of stuff about making my own food - like making peanut butter, spaghetti sauce, that sort of thing.   What about candy? Do you have a sweet tooth? I tend to prefer chocolate, but I think that would melt this time of year.   Do you have an e-reader? What kind? Would you like to get ebooks? I have an Android tablet. I know I can read books on it, but I'm not entirely sure how to get them. But, I'd love to be enabled. I also listen to books on Audible while I ride the bus to work (I get motion-sick if I read on the bus). I've started listening to the Dresden Files books, and am really liking them so far.   If your witch is an extremely crafty sort, and she were to send all kinds of homemade foody goodies and handmade crafty stuff - what are items you would NOT LOVE to receive. Please dont hedge on this one...some of us are serious crafters and will be making most of what we send! Oh this would be awesome! The only things I would prefer not to receive are: anything wool (itchy), toffee, white chocolate, hot sauces and spicy stuff, and malted milk balls.   Witchee dear, do you like video games? Are there any you want to play? Do you have a large library? I do like video games. I play a fair bit of World of Warcraft, and I have played some of the Silent Hill games and Portal / Portal 2. I really like the survival horror genre. I usually play on my PC. I have a Wii, but don't use it much because I don't really like it as a gaming platform.   Do you have something you do, without fail, as a personal daily habit/ritual? (Examples: pen-and-paper journal keeping, tea/coffee drinking, morning yoga, nightly bedtime reading. I'm kind of thinking on things that would be dear to you and might need small supplies or could use certain extras. ) Drinking tea is a daily ritual for me. I have chai tea as soon as I get to work - kind of puts me in the mindset of working - and I have black tea in the afternoon. I'm trying to get in the habit of riding my exercise bike in the mornings.   Do you wear nailpolish? What colors do you tend to go for? What are your favorite brands? Are you open to trying indie brands? I'm afraid I seldom wear nail polish. The few times I do, I tend to wear very dark colors. I think my last batch got too old and I threw it out.   Name three BPAL scents you hav tried, but are dying to get more of. Bengal, Hellhound on my Trail, and Mictecacihuatl   Do you still write real letters on nice stationary to people you like/love? I do sometimes send blank notecards to people (well, they start blank, but I write on the inside)   Have you ever tried anything from Paintbox Soapworks? Which products or scents would you prefer? I just got my first order from there, and would love to try more. I really like The Englishman. I like Blackbird too. The Queen is Dead had too much honey scent for me. I ordered soaps the first time, but other items would be great too.   Do you like/have space to garden? If so, what do you grow? I finally do! I've only planted rhubarb so far, but will be putting in raised beds with chicken wire to keep the rabbits out and plan to plant veggies and herbs. We're planning on fruit trees, berries and chickens too.   Do you like sample sized things? Think lipgloss, mascara, bodylotion, scrubs, mini candles, and so forth. Sure, it's a painless way to try things. I hate wasting stuff, so it's nice to try things without the risk of having a huge amount I don't like.   Have you tried Fortune Cookie Soap? What products or scents would you like? I don't know what that is.   Have you ever tried Cocoa Pink? If you are curious about it, what looks interesting to you? I don't know what that is.   Do you like Lush? If so, what is your favorite product that is currently available, also, what is a product that you love but has been discontinued? I do like it, but I'm not terribly familiar with what they have. I have some on my Kaboodle list.   Anyone a fan of Shiro Cosmetics? Any particular products? Eye shadow pigments in general? Not familiar with them, but I tend to wear eye shadows in shades of brown.   Are there any companies, products, or items you boycott? Wal-Mart, and I'm trying, with limited success, to avoid Monsanto stuff.   As I am in Japan, what sort of things would you like from there? I'd love to try some different teas or interesting herbs and spices.   Since FB and the FB Gusp group (and the BPAL Sorority which is quiet) have become gathering places...what are some of your favorite Facebook pages you like? Punk Rock Homesteading is my favorite.   What craft project do you currently have on your docket or that you want to start? And that craft goodies would be welcome? I am considering trying my hand at crocheting the skull shawl that is on my pinterest craft board. I'm a little intimidated by it. Other than that, most of my projects of late are either on the computer or related to baking / canning / food prep. I'm taking a cake decorating class in July, and I'm planning to learn to can this summer. And I make sourdough bread weekly. And I'm taking a bookbinding class in late July or early August. Hmmm...I think I have too much going on.

Switch Witch questions

I updated these older question lists in Summer of 2013 for the new switch witch round. My list of questions from the 2011 H'ween round is here. My list of questions asking specifically in the Summer 2013 round is here.   Halloweenie 09 questions:   Families of SMA or the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation are my charities of choice, in honor of my niece Nora, which I mentioned in my questionnaire as well.   I think the following questions are pretty much everything I haven't answered in the forum or in previous SWs   PandaBite nickname? Cute idea but no. It just doesn't seem useful to me.   Dark Candles? Yes, any of their scents that are spicy, vanilla, not floral or foodie. Pretty much the same as my BPAL oil preferences, though I might like chocolate in a candle even though I don't like it on me. And I like "clean scents" in candles though I don't like them on me.   When you receive your sw packages...do you like receiving things that are individually wrapped inside? or unwrapped? or both? Either one is just fine.   Of course, we're all going to be grateful no matter what our witches give us, but for the record, what is your anti-present? Tell us something that you think your future witch might give you that you absolutely, unequivocally DO. NOT. WANT. Coffee. I hate coffee. Though my boyfriend likes French Roast coffee A LOT (only the unflavored stuff - the stuff with extra flavors like raspberry or hazelnut, he hates), so I would just give coffee to him and he'd probably be thrilled.   Do sounds make you happy? What ambient noises make you smile? The sound of skateboard wheels over the seams in the sidewalk. Birds and chipmunks chattering. Someone humming quietly to themselves, unselfconsciously.   If I send you whole spices or coffee beans, would you be able to grind them or would you prefer them preground for your convenience? Pre-ground, I don't have a grinder for spices.   For the tea and coffee drinkers: Opinion on tea- and/or coffee-related accessories/etc? I have several tea balls and a fabulous tea strainer. Two teapots. A couple trivets. More mugs are always welcome or some tea accessory I have not listed here.   what's your favorite pain-relief remedy or ritual? Excedrin and a nap. Or a guided meditation, imagining myself lying suspended in a babbling brook, perfectly warm water rushing over me, imagining all my stress and tension washing away in the brook.   Any cooks? Could you use anything cooking related? Aprons? Cookbooks? Measuring Cups? Recipes? Herb/Spice containers? Fancy Spices? Dish Towels? Cocktail napkins? Amazing Beaded Pot Holders? (like from our very own Pottersville! ) Something else? I've really gotten into cooking and baking heavily lately, in a big push over the last few months to make more of my own food, etc. So, I'm open to nearly anything. We're got a red devil kitchen, so if you're looking for color inspiration, that would be it.   What's your favorite candy to stock up on at Halloween? Reese's peanut butter cups in any variety   Are you an avid reader? What's your favorite book/series? Very, very avid reader. Voracious even. The Gunslinger series by Stephen King. Or the Titan / Wizard / Demon trilogy by John Varley. Illusions by Richard Bach. The Hyperion series by Dan Simmons. Anything by Sheri Tepper. Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson.   What is your favourite flower (or plant)? Lily of the Valley. Pretty much any lilies.   An anonymous benefactor gives you $500 (or an equivalent amount of money in your currency of choice) with the following stipulations. You must spend all of it within a week: any money left unspent must be returned. You must spend at least half of the money on yourself. You may not use it to pay off debts or bills of any kind. What do you do with the money? Wow, this is hard, since I'm really pushing on paying off bills. I might buy some clothes. Probably some boots. Plants for my yard.   This is how the world ends... zombie apocalypse, robot uprising, alien invasion, return of the elder gods... which doomsday scenario do you prefer (or make your own!)? Road Warrior. Or Six String Samurai. (both movies) Or an EMP pulse - I read a book about that recently and it messed with my head badly.   Do you believe in magic (or magick, if you prefer)? What does it mean to you? Absolutely. This is a very involved question for me. If you want to know more, I'd be glad to tell you - just ask via email.   What is your favourite historical period? Egyptian pharoahs. Or the 1920s.   i know we're all scent sensitive here. what are your favorite non-perfume smells? day in the life stuff? Fallen leaves. Smoke (in the distance, not in my face). Cigars. Baking bread. Nuts roasting in the oven. Sawdust. Barnyards (yes, really - I like the earthy smell)   Yule SW questions:   Question to all the knitters out there, what size knitting needles do you use the most? I'm have tried learning how to crochet and have a variety of needles, but I really don't like it much.   How do you feel about winter-themed but not really holiday type decorations? Things like snowflakes and fake icicles and the like? Sure, that sounds nice.   What do you collect...besides BPAL? Gargoyles. Tea. I'm not much into the clutter of collections, but I like useful things.   Anyone a fan of Goddess art? I love images of women, in beautiful poses, strong women, powerful women (No- Not Hilary ROFL) Yes, I really like goddess art. I have several Susan Seddon Boulet pieces hung up. I've been moving away from the more fantasy style of her stuff, though, into pin-up art and more graphic styles. Anyone else a Luis Royo fan? I looked him up, and I like it, but don't love it. I like stuff that's darker, more disturbing than that. What are your favorite websites (i.e., the ones you visit every day, or almost every day)? facebook.com, cuteoverload.com, Wil Wheaton's blog, gizmodo.com, lifehacker.com. Not many, since I work on the internet, I tend to avoid it as a leisure activity. How do you feel about Lush? Anything you want to try? All of it. How do you feel about home made lip balm, salt or sugar scrubs, soap, bath salts, etc? Hooray!   What is one REALLY expensive, completely outrageous thing you would LOVE to get but totally don't expect to ever get from anyone? Hmmm...dunno. A fence for my yard? An electric car - haha! Do you like coffee mugs? Travel or stay at home? How big? Do you like ones from Starbucks? If you mean tea mugs, yes, the bigger the better.   Do you like tea? What kinds of tea (green, red, white, black, decaf, herbal infusions)? Feel free to get specific on brands and tea types. Loose or bagged? Do you need any kind of tea accessories? Pots/cozys/presses/strainers? I love tea, especially chai and black tea. I'm not a big fan of green and I haven't tried red or white. And decaf? What's the point? Though I do like herbal teas. I really like Republic of Tea. I'm good with strainers and pots.   What is your favorite hot chocolate or drinking chocolate? Do you need Vegan or no? I don't have a particular favorite but I really like hot chocolate. The kind you have to mix milk with is kind of a pain, but often tastes better. What's your favorite texture? Hard question - no pun intended. I think I'd have to say microfleece or flannel. Love that stuff.   Do you prefer arm warmers to the wrist, to the base of the fingers, or half fingered? Onto the palm with the thumb hole. I don't think I'd like the ones with half fingers, but I could be wrong.   Any favorite cartoon characters? Disney, Sanrio, etc? Tasmanian Devil. Animal from the Muppets. Every single character from the Dark Crystal   Have you (or maybe the younguns in your family) been exposed to the Webkinz craze? I have no idea what Webkinz are.   Are there any witchy type supplies you're in need of, or would like to try etc.? Herbs, smudge sticks, resins, tarot/oracle cards, incense burners, pretty tools, stuff like that? I'm always up for witchy-type supplies. The only thing I don't care for is smudge sticks because they tend to give me a headache. Other than that, bring it on. I've specifically been looking for a new/different Tarot deck - something more basic than the ones I have, though I don't like the Rider-Waite. I could also really use a new wand, but that seems...greedy.   On nut intolerance - does it include things like almond/coconut oil bases and essential oils in perfume oils, skincare products, scented candles and the like? I have absolutely no problem with nuts of any kind. I really like nuts.   If you are a fan, who were your favorite Buffy and Angel characters? Haven't watched much Buffy, but I think I'd have to say Giles. And Spike, before the whole Buffy angsty love affair crap.   Do you like Shakespeare? Which plays? I like Shakespeare. Can't think of particular favorites. There are several I haven't read that I should - like Macbeth. I like some of his sonnets too.   How do you like your chocolate? White, milk, bittersweet, as dark as possible? Plain, with flavoring, with chunks of stuff in? I like milk, bittersweet and dark (though I had 70% cacao once, and that was a bit much). Chunks are okay, but dates squick me out, and I'd never want bacon and chocolate together. And this new thing of putting hot peppers in there - no thank you.   Favorite animals? Least favorite? My favorite animal is a pelican - because they look clumsy and graceful, depending on what they're doing. My least favorite animal. Um...roaches and centipedes.   How do you feel about Heifer International? Or do you have other favorite charities not mentioned in your application? I don't know what Heifer International is. Having worked for an animal shelter in the past, I think charities are great. My current charities of choices are Families of SMA and the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation.   So for all witches of the shimmying types- would you like tassel belts/jingle belts/ ect and if so, how big are your hips? I don't shimmy much, but would like to. I'm too shy to have a belt that makes noise, though. My hips are in the low 40 inches.   What are 3 places that you'd like to visit, or re-visit? Re-visit Ireland. I'd love to visit France & Italy & Egypt.   Literary erotica. Who doesn't love it? I'm not crazy about it. Are you planning on buying anything off your BPAL wishlist during the round? Nope, this gal is broke. Do you read graphic novels/comics? Which ones? Nope, not really. I don't really like comics and animated things. Which witches would want Bpal boxes? Or imp cases? This witch right heyeh! How about a short - or longer - piece of fanfic? I've never read fanfic before. I'm not sure how I feel about it.   Would you like handmade piece of calligraphy as a gift? Sure! What jewelry are you wearing now? What jewelry do you wear everyday-or do you change jewelry all the time? I wear the same rings all the time: 9 of them. And a turquoise and silver bracelet that clamps tightly to my wrist...not sure how to describe it. I change out my necklaces every day. Chia Pet, do you need one? I'd be afraid it would get moldy. Houseplants and/or things to put them in: thoughts? I have some houseplants already, and would like a couple more for the new place. I'm not great with houseplants but would really like to get better at them and/or growing herbs inside. Do you like baskets, jars and other interesting containers? Filled or Empty? As long as they're big enough to be useful, you betcha. Filled or empty is fine! What cartoons did you grow up watching? Any animated shows you still watch? I really liked Bugs Bunny, and still appreciate it. I don't really like most animated things though.   Do you like honey? Will you like to try creamy honey with black sesame or with cinnamon powder? I do like honey. I don't think I'd like it with black sesame, but cinnamon powder sounds interesting.   What is the biggest problem or sad thing in your life? Of course, I mean the saddest or worst thing you can confess here. My niece and her struggle with SMA (spinal muscular atrophy) - and how little I get to see her because of how unpleasant my brother has become since she was diagnosed.   Do any of you like puzzle books? Yes, I like them. Pretty much all kinds. I love Christmas music even though I'm pagany -- how about you? The standard caroling fare and pop versions of same grates on my nerves, but really old stuff or, for instance, swing-inspired or minor-key dirge stuff as was mentioned on the forum sounds nice. My favorite old carol is The Holly and the Ivy.   It's cold outside - what are your favorite drinks to keep yourself warm and cozy? Tea, of course, except for green tea (it tastes like dirt to me). Cocoa and cider are also both wonderful. But chai tea trumps them all FTW.   Would my potential Witchee be up for some stuff they'd never heard before if they couldn't understand the words? I'd be okay with French lyrics, since I understand bits of French, but much of the joy of music for me is the lyrics and singing along. So, languages other than English in music mostly just irritate me. And, close-minded though this may be, I find most Asian pop really grating. Though I find most pop really grating. That said, I do like listening to people chant or vocalize without words (i.e. Bulgarian State Radio & Television Female Choir). I'm amending this to add that I think it's just Japanese and Chinese pop that I don't like, because I'm currently listening to Luaka Bop's 10th anniversary, which is mostly hispanic-inspired music, and I really like it.   What kind of candy/sweet treat would you like to receive? I like dark chocolate, cookies, chocolate & peanut butter, cookies, nuts, cookies, caramel, cookies, coconut, those cookies they only sell at Christmas called Mexican wedding cakes, and cookies. Pretty much anything as long as its not licorice, mint & chocolate together, white chocolate, malted milk, has dates in it, those icky candies with the mysterious pastel colored paste in the center, or spicy (jalapenos=bad spicy, ginger and cloves=good spicy).   Would you personally rather get handmade jewelry or the beads to make something yourself? I'd prefer handmade jewelry. I'm never happy with stuff I make myself.   To my Yule witch! I forgot to answer the last 3 CDs played thru and last 2 movies watched on my questionnaire, so they are: John Lee Hooker's Boom Boom Soundtrack to Gangs of New York INXS' Kick   Boondock Saints Blood Simple   Following are the Fall 08 Switch Witch questions & answers   Miniature things? Please no miniature things. One of my cats is very clumsy and likes to plow into things. And my other cat sneezes on everything. The sum of these items is not good.   Favorite fairytale. Good question. I think I'd have to say The Twelve Dancing Princesses. Overall, as a former anthropology major, like Apple said on the forum, I find the symbolism particularly interesting. ETA, also: East of the Sun and West of the Moon and Where the Wild Things Are Who likes pirates? I like pirates. I like dark and conflicted superheroes. And anti-heroes.   What do you think about the Nightmare Before Christmas? I like it. Not insane crazy about it, but I like it.   Can melty things be shipped to you, or will they be in puddles by the time you open the package? Depends on the season. Wisconsin does get pretty warm in the summer.   Trinkets? I tend to prefer things that have a use. If you could have dinner/drinks/coffee with any 3 living people that are not your family/friends already, who would they be? Moby, preferably at his Teany restaurant. He just seems so interesting. Stephen King, because he's the root of much of my literary explorations. Preferably over beer and cheeseburgers, listening to the Ramones. Susan Sarandon because I really like her outspoken nature.   ]Do you wear a watch? If so, what kind/style? Every once in a while, though I tend to use my cell phone. I have two watches right now that I wear when the mood strikes. Once is a wide leather cuff/band from Fossil, though the batteries have died AGAIN, and it's tough to change. The other is a green beaded band with a small face.   How do you feel about having a donation made in your name to something? If you like that idea, what types of organizations/groups would you want the donation to go to? Families of SMA or the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation Does the weather change where you are, as in, does it get cold in the winter? Anyone need homegrown scarves, hats, mittens, etc? Yes, the weather changes here. I've got 3 scarves I really like - one black and two in the orange family. I'm not much of a knit hat person - my hair is frizzy/poofy enough.   What is your favorite art movement and/or style? Definitely art nouveau, surrealist, and whatever style those Rosie the Riveter and Bolshevik posters were.   For tea drinkers, do you bag it or prefer loose? Tea bags, please. Loose tea is okay, and I use the leftover bits to put in my house plants as fertilizer. But, I'm kind of a klutz and it's messy.   Who are your forum buddies? People you know well enough online or IRL to help your Witch pick out stuff for you? Apple, Yewberry   My questionnaire is chock-a-block with ideas for Witching me on the cheap, and without sending "stuff for stuff's sake". And I just came up with another one--make me a Pandora, Finetune, or Last.fm station you think I might like! What manner of affordable Witchery might you covet? Loves the Pandora and Spotify, though I work for their competition (murfie.com). Umm...information on eating locally, ideas for sustainable living, info on keeping houseplants alive. Does your cell phone have a place to attach charms? Nope, 'fraid not. I seldom carry a purse either... Though, I have several buttons and stickers on my laptop bag (it's a messenger bag).   If you drink coffee (and make it yourself) do you use a French Press, regular filter basket coffee maker, Espresso Machine, Percolator? Eeew, coffee. I don't like coffee. The boyfriend does, and he uses a reusable Keurig cup.   What movie soundtracks (or scores) do you love? Reservoir Dogs, The Full Monty, Harold & Maude, Ocean's Eleven, Shawshank Redemption, 300   How do you scent yourself? Do you layer soaps, moisturizers, etc. or do you go straight to slathering your bod with BPAL? I don't do a lot of layers of scenting because strong scents give me a headache. I do like subtly scented body lotion, particularly vanilla-related scents. And I'm slowly growing my BPAL 'library'   Do you/how do you scent your world? Candles, incense, diffusers, potpourri? None of the above? Incense, mostly. Occasionally candles. I don't use things that require an open flame to disperse smell (other than candles) because, though I love how incense smells, I can't be in the house when it's actually burning because it gives me a headache and I can taste the incense. Leaving open flame in a diffuser alone + cats = bad.   BPAL is such a scent-ual experience. What are your other tactile, aural, or olfactory pleasures? The sound of skateboard wheels over the cracks in the sidewalk. The sound of birds and wind in the trees. The smell of baking bread, warm cookies. Tactile would be soft fleece or 'microfleece' blankets and jackets. I've been known to stick my face into fleece blankets at the store.   How do people feel about receiving baked goods/kits to make said goods? Or other cooking items? Would you enjoy oil or vinegar flavored with herbs grown at home? Strange and exotic spices with recipes to try? Cookies made with carnation petals? Yes, yes, yes! I love baking, trying new herbs, unusual ingredients, etc. My only restriction is that I'm a complete wimp when it comes to spicy/hot things. Mild salsa is my limit before uncontrollable coughing sets in. I also don't care for fennel and anise. But, I do love to bake and cook A LOT.   What are your pet's names, and what are they named for? Lucy, my 10 year old gray, part Russian blue cat had that name when I adopted her. She is very klutzy and unintentionally naughty, just like Lucy on I Love Lucy. (Though I have always hated that show) Odin, my 12 year old black cat, also had that name when I got him from a friend. He smites things a lot, like the litterbox, so it suits him. He's also fond of biting and purrs a lot when he's biting, which seems fitting. Vera, my 3 year old 4-lb. chihuahua, is named for Jayne's gun in Firefly. She may only weigh 4 pounds, but she is mighty. And very excitable. And a petite flower. Ruby is my 3 year old 5-lb. chihuahua. We originally picked it as a name that sounded in the same genre as Vera. But, she's just a Ruby-Doo. It just suits her. Oscar is my 6 year old 9-lb. chihuahua. We wanted another "old person" type name, but he looks a bit like a bear, and Oscar is similar to Osso.   Who here is a complete, over the top, Alice In Wonderland fanatic? I REALLY like Alice in Wonderland, and like the dark McGee (sp?) Alice game as well. Esp. the cheshire cat. And White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane.   Are you a Trekkie? If so, which series do you prefer? Do you have a favorite character? TNG, though I don't consider myself a trekkie. Picard and Wesley are probably my favorites. Actually, Wesley was rather a dork, but I like Wil Wheaton. I really liked the sometimes character Vash.   Do you have phobias? Yes, clowns, especially the Disney characters. And bodies of water that I can't see the bottom of. The unseen sight of large things....shiver...   How do you like your mix CDs? Random? Stuff you know you'll like? Either one, as long as it's not country or rap or sugary pop.   Would you rather get food or jewellery? Yes, both? Really, either would be fantabulous.   Do you like children's toys, such as jacks, those little things you tilt around to get the ball in the right hold (wtf are those called?), the aforementioned caplet dinosaurs, cap guns, etc?: I love toys. Lego's especially. Things to play with while code is deploying at work.   English candy/tea/marmite or other stuff that you love and can't easily get outside of England? I don't live in England and have no clue what marmite is. Though I had 'digestive biscuits' when I was in Ireland and I love the carmelized ones and haven't found them here.   Fanfic as a gift* - yay or nay? Your fandom? Slash preferences?*well, a virtual gift obviously. You know what I mean. I don't really know what fanfic is. My fandoms are Firefly, Supernatural, X-Files, Fringe, Hannibal, Tales from the Crypt, Dollhouse, Carnivale.   Any beaders here? Need beading supplies? I did some beading and have some beads. I'm not all that good at regular beading, but I like doing hemp work. Hemp work requires that the beads have much larger holes than standard beads. And, of course, hemp. I'd also like to try wire-wrapping.   Band-aids: do you like the fun and funky ones? I do! I bought my ex-husband pirate and cowboy band-aids and I was the only one that used them.   What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? A car accident, I think. I fell asleep and rolled my friend's car doing 80 mph with three friends in the car. Happily, no one was hurt.   What kind of music (genres, please) do you like? Old blues, jazz, singer/songwriter, punk rock, 'coffee shop' vocalists, folk, trance (as long as it's not too rave-y repetitive), ambient, classical, some classic rock, funk, ska, swing, gypsy   What kinds of eye shadows do we all like? I like natural colors, mostly browns and tints of brown. I don't have a particular brand, as long as they're not greasy. I use them so seldom.   Do you like lip balm? If so, do you like tinted, glossy, sparkly, pearly or just plain lip balm? Ummm...I'm kind of low-key, so tinted and sparkly stuff seems a little too diva for me. But, I LOVE Burts' Bees and swear by it endlessly. I'm also starting to use a burnt orange lip pencil.   Are you a soap addict? Anything you like to avoid in soaps (goat's milk, lye, dyes, etc...) or any particular scents you like or brands you want to try? I would like to be one and I'm totally open to suggestion and enabling. With soaps I've used in the past, I tend to like the more masculine scents - bay rum, sandalwood, etc.   By nature are you a morning lark or a night owl? It has shifted over my life. Currently...I think I'm a morning person, but I think I feel a shift to night owl coming on.   Where does everyone like shop for witching goodness? Cost Plus World Market, the natural foods co-op, farmer's market, thrift stores.

Switch Witch question - H'ween 2011

My previous question entry from earlier rounds is here. Updated for Summer 2013 round.   Franken polish? I don't really know what that is. I don't often wear nail polish, but I'd be okay with being enabled.   Lip balm? I prefer the twist-up tube. I currently use Burt's Bees - I've got one tube of colorless that I wear most days and a couple tubes of a deep orangey-red color and a burgundy color that I wear as lipstick. I don't really like the lip balms that have a flavor.   T-shirts? Yup, I wear t-shirts. Usually XL - I've got huge...tracts of land, as they say. (i.e. big knockers, for the non-Monty Python fans). I'd totally be down with one designed by my witch.   Pumpkin-scented things? I don't really like pumpkin-scented candles; they smell too fake. I love to eat pumpkin, but the scented stuff just seems fake to me.   Glamourkin? I don't know what that is.   Toe socks? No, I don't like having things between my toes.   Order out or cook at home? I prefer to cook at home, though I do order out when it's been a long day. I love kitchen stuff, all kinds.   Gummies? I'm not a big fan of gummy candy.   Gela-skin for my phone? I'm likely going to be getting a new phone soon - not sure what kind - so I'm not sure how much use I'd get out of this. The iPod I use is my boyfriend's, so I'd feel weird putting a different skin on it since it's not mine.   Ears pierced? Other piercings? I have my ears pierced, and my nose double-pierced (two holes close together on the same side of my nose). I've been looking for small continuous rings for my nose in silver or steel. I have ones that are supposed to have a ball in them, but the ball never stayed and the dumb gaps are always turned out weirdly.   Whoopie pies? I've never had one, but I'd try them.   Anything from Lush? I've never shopped there. A witch got me some stuff from there once. I liked it. Sorry, that's not much help, is it?   Do you blog? Would you like a header? I appreciate the offer, but no. I do graphic design, so I've got particular ideas about how I want the redesign of my blog to look.   Handmade bookmark? Sure, I read A LOT - that'd be nice.   Chex puppy mix? NOM NOM NOM   Groupon? I'm pretty particular and my budget is pretty tight, and since they often require spending some money, I'd have to say no.   Sugar skulls? Sure, I like those.   Meringue? Blech!   Personalized bottle cap labels? Sure, though I only have about 6 bottles.   Puzzles/riddles? I like to do these when I ride on planes. I'm not a fan of cryptograms, but I like sudoku, crosswords and logic puzzles.   I think I answered most of the ones that I didn't answer on the forum. Some of those that I didn't answer are for things that I'm unfamiliar with or didn't really have an opinion on.   This blog makes me sound very contrarian. I'm really not!

Added an Etsy Wish List

This still seems rather greedy to me, but I've added an Etsy wish list. I had been putting Etsy stuff on my Kaboodle list, but I thought I'd do this too. Not that I expect anything from Etsy, but it'll you more insight into my tastes. I'm on there as tdgnika.
