Baked goods: I love baked goods, as does my husband, so they are most definitely welcome here! My favorites are peanut butter cookies (made with smooth peanut butter), sugar cookies (frosted or plain), and shortbread (oh, and someone mentioned lemon bars in the thread--delicious! Citrus (without chocolate though) is one of my favorites--lime and lemon. Husband loves chocolate chip cookies. Other baked goods, candy, etc.--homemade food items--are fantastic! I looooooove toffee and caramel and butterscotch.
Gifts for other household members: The kitties love it when someone thinks of them and gives them treats or toys, as does Miss Rattie, Templeton. And I'm sure my husband wouldn't turn down a cookie or candy! He's always begging me to make cookies or cupcakes.
Are you someone who'd rather have lots of small testers of different things on your wishlist, or would you rather have one or two "big" things?: I like variety. Small testers is probably the way to go.

Pajama sizes: I do love a good fuzzy pyjama. I tend to be an XXL in tops and an XXL/XXXL in bottoms. Clothes always tend to be really fussy on me ... I have to try them on to ensure a good fit ... so I will not be sad if you don't send clothing items (unless they're accessories--those fit everyone!) because you're worried whether they'll fit or not. I've had to tell my mom to not buy me clothes and send them via the mail but get me gift cards instead because so little of what she sent would fit well.
Am I into Austen books: No. Sorry. I haven't read any at all and it's not my style of reading--I much prefer modern science fiction, humor, and just all around interesting/quirky books. I tried reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and didn't like it at all.
Mix CDs: I LOVE MIX CDS! Love, love, love. And I have never received one in a Switch Witch round though I sent a lot to my witchees. Even if I don't end up falling for the music you send, I enjoy listening and being exposed to new things. I just ask that there's no country/western, as that is really the only kind of music I can't stand (and its correlates, bluegrass and folk). Themed CDs are awesome (like all cover songs or all 80s music) but just a little of "here's what I like" is great too! I used to be a college radio DJ so I am very interested in music.
Tarot: I have a deck and do readings sometimes but am not very comfortable with it yet. I have a book or two on Tarot. It's an interest but I wouldn't say it's a huge interest. I covet the Hello Kitty Tarot deck!
"Girly": I am unabashedly girly and I have no problem using that term. I love sparkles and glitter and skirts and pink, and I wear high heels often and love a cute pair of shoes. I'm actually a fifteen-year-old girl trapped in a 32-year-old's body! I paint my nails quite often and have a stack of different colors ranging from black to pink to blue to sparkles to mattes. I'm a Hello Kitty dork--I actually went to Sanrio Puroland in Japan--and my favorite characters are Hello Kitty, Chococat, and Deery Lou. I am not much of a tomboy although I do participate in many activities that people are sometimes "surprised" to hear that I do because they seem stereotypically male to them: I ride a motorcycle (Suzuki SV650), I brew beer, I play video games, including some shooter games.
Halloween plans: Usually my husband and I stay home and watch a movie, eat popcorn (maybe I should do caramel corn this year!), drink some beer, and have fun ourselves. We don't get trick-or-treaters way out here in the country and we're not really big party people. How about some good movie recommendations? They don't even have to be horror movies or Halloween themed--just fun, interesting movies you've seen lately. I have a long, long list of movies to watch on my Netflix queue and I like to add to it as I hear about different things I might like to watch.
Soft, fuzzy things: I love. Chenille's one of my favorite fabrics, as is velvet. If it's soft, fuzzy, pettable, squishy, I will enjoy it.
Nail polish: I am a nail polish fiend, if you didn't already get that from earlier responses! My favorite brands are China Glaze, Zoya, Sinful Colors, Lippmann Collection, and Orly. I've never tried Rescue Beauty Lounge but their colors intrigue me, especially "Scrangie." I like a lot of MAC's nail polishes, too. I tend to stay away from nudes and overly frosty colors, and I don't wear many whitish or pinkish colors, nor am I a big red fan. I usually wear bright colors: blues, greens, purples, oranges, yellows. No browns! I like matte colors and would actually like to add to my collection of mattes; I have Zoya Dovima and Veruschka. I'd love to get any of their other colors, particularly Posh (the reddish matte) and Loredana (silvery matte). I don't have any of the Zoya Wicked or Wonderful collections yet but the entire Wicked collection calls my name! Wonderful looks pretty for fall but Wicked has all that shimmer and glitter ... mmmm! I just saw pictures of the Black Phoenix polishes Bordello and Destroying Angel and both are beautiful.
E-books: No thank you; I don't have a reader. I like physical books.
Favorite snack foods: I love chips, especially salt & vinegar chips and sour cream & cheddar. I like to try unusual flavors of chips (dill pickle, pizza, ketchup, etc.). Wasabi peas and crunchy rice crackers are tasty, too. Anything sweet: cookies, candies. I dislike corn chips with a passion--there are no Doritos, Fritos, etc. in our house--and I am not big on pretzels, trail mix, nuts.
Harry Potter house: I'm a Slytherin! w00t!
Cosplay/costumes: I don't really cosplay but I generally go to our Ren Faire each year as a pixie (a dark pixie, dressed in black) so anything pixie-ish is welcome.
Scented tarts: I have some tart burners and tarts are welcome. I like fall scents along the lines of Samhain--cider, burning leaves, and the like. I'm not a big pumpkin fan but if it's well blended it's okay. Anything vanilla, patchouli, smoky, rich and sweet is great, and I do also like rose scents and light, sweet scents like Pink Sugar. Just nothing heavily floral.
Lip balms: Sure. I don't really like LUSH's lip balm formulation because it's in a little pot; I prefer a tube form or a squeeze tube. I absolutely LOVE Bath and Body Works' Liplicious glosses. I already have the following ones and would love any others: Coconut Fizz, Berry Vanilla, Coconut Vanilla, Lemon Vanilla, Cherry Gelato, Ruby Red Licorice, Sparkling Plum, Limeade. I think the only ones I wouldn't like are PS I Love You and Brown Sugar.
Body mods: Don't really need any jewelry--I don't change out my jewelry.
Favorite artist/art style: Favorite artist is Vincent Van Gogh. I like Impressionism and post-Impressionism.
Booze: Make it, love it! I'd love a classic cocktail book to make drinks--I find myself running online to find out how to make a mint Julep or classic Manhattan too often. I love little foo-foo glasses for drinking out of, too.
Guilty TV pleasure: I really don't watch TV. The last thing I watched was Lost and that was highly unusual for me, and then I hated, absolutely hated, how it ended. So, no TV for me really. I have watched some shows via Netflix before: Arrested Development, Drawn Together, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Wonderfalls, and Dead Like Me. However, I am pretty unlikely to be interested in random TV shows, especially if they're not animated or quirky or both. I'm much more interested in your movie recommendations.
Celebrity crush: Kiefer Sutherland back in his Flatliners days; Alan Rickman, like so many others; Billy Bob Thornton because he has that crazy/sexy thing going on; Trey Parker, nom! Funny and cute; and Eric Wareheim--makes amazing videos, is goofy, and has the ability to laugh at himself. Oh, and Nathan Fillion.
DVDs: If you could make a mix DVD of videos you liked, that would be so cool. But that might be technologically difficult and time consuming so no worries. Really don't care in terms of widescreen or not.
Halloween decorations: I hate to be a bummer, but I don't really decorate. So Halloween decorations, cute as they may be, would not really be useful here. Sorry! I'm just too much of a minimalist. However, CourtCat posted: "Would you want hand made, molded, glazed (by yours truly!) ceramic decorations (napkin rings, potpourri/tart warmers, etc) to add to your stock?" and I think something made by hand like that would be absolutely wonderful because I could use it more than just during part of the year. A tart warmer would be great--napkin rings, I don't really use.
What hobby/craft would you like to learn how to do? I already do a lot of food-related crafting: making cheese, mead, wine, beer. I've tried knitting and I'm just not into it, nor am I much good at it. I have occasionally made stuff with fimo/sculpey clay and I used to paint. Next I'd like to make sake. I'd actually like to be able to make neat labels for my homebrew.
Mortars and pestles: I would actually use something like that for grinding spices. I cook a lot so it would be used.
Phobias: None really.
When you go to an etsy wishlist, it will tell you what things are sold. If you click on the sold item, sometimes it will give options that are similar to what was sold, but not identical, would you like the similar item or prefer not to get it at all unless it's the same item? How picky are you? Generally something similar will be fine. I have a lot of stuff on my etsy wishlist that's just there because it caught my eye. All of the wall art, for example, is still on there even though I've already put up wall art. However, any jewelry or accessories, also clothing, is stuff I'm interested in still. Ultimately, I'm not picky--the stuff on my etsy wishlist is a great indicator of the sort of things I like (colorful, rainbow items--soft knitted things--cool shoes--pretty silver jewelry--and unique clothing).
Disney movies, Yay or Nay, and favourites if you do like them? The only ones I really like are The Cat from Outer Space and Lilo and Stitch. We say "ohana" all the time in our house but we added on to it: "Ohana means family. And family means nobody gets left behind, or forgotten, or eaten." (This is because people keep asking when we're going to eat some of our ducks. OHANA! THEY are FAMBLY! I'm not much of a Disneyphile overall though.)
Do you have A VCR, DVD Player or Blue Ray or a combo of the three? No VCR though I have tapes I'd like to watch so I should get one from the thrift store. No DVD player or whatnot. We watch DVDs on our Xbox.
I adore icons for LJ/dreamwidth/forums/etc use, but suck at making them myself. Anyone else in the same boat, who would like custom icons as a gift? I can't really say I would have a use for that.
Socks? Um, yes. In a nutshell. I love stripey socks, fuzzy socks, all sorts of socks. My favorites are knee-length. I'm not too much a fan of ankle socks and I hate toe socks (where each toe fits into its own little toe-holder...they feel uber-weird on my feet!).
What is something you use to comfort yourself when feeling yucky, depressed, or in pain? A hot bubble bath, a cold Diet Coke, and a bit o' bitching to the cats, wall, or husband. Massages are also good too.
Scary movies/books: I love scary movies. I don't get scared easily. I also love horror books. Stephen King is my favorite author; I also like Anne Rice. I have read pretty much everything from Stephen King and I have most of Anne Rice's books. I absolutely love the Cube movie series (Cube; Cube II: Hypercube; and Cube Zero)--the little fish icon on my profile, the one in a coffee pot, is from Cube Zero. I like psychological horror and I absolutely love--and this will sound morbid--end of the world type novels. Things like Life As We Knew It, The Beach, The Stand, etc. So if it deals with strange viruses killing us all off, the moon knocking the earth out of orbit, nuclear destruction, etc. I am down! (Told you that was morbid!) As far as Halloween movies, I don't really go for the whole Freddy/Jason/Friday the 13th type of thing. I actually don't know of any particular Halloween movies that I enjoy. Like I said earlier with decorating, I don't really do a lot of holiday decorating, doing anything special, and so on. I really want to read John Dies at the End by David Wong.
Comic Books: Don't read them; not really an interest. I'd like to skim through the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels now that I saw the movie and loved it, but I imagine I'll probably end up liking the movie better.
Warm drinks: NO COFFEE. I don't drink it, not even the foofy Starbucks stuff that's not really coffee but a truckload of sugar and cream. I do like tea, quite a bit. I really like different varieties of tea bags (not loose) to take to work to drink during the day. I mostly drink black teas with fruit or other flavors (hazelnut, caramel, cinnamon) and Lady Grey/Earl Grey teas. I drink English breakfast at home oftentimes. I don't like chai tea mostly because it's usually too heavy on the clove and is a bit numbing. If you have a good chai to recommend I would love to hear! I don't like green tea very much. One of my favorites is Bigelow's Vanilla Caramel tea; I also like Tazo apple rooibos. (I like rooibos a lot, as well as herbal tisanes). I drink my loose leaf at home where I have all the contraptions and shizz to make it. At work, like I said, it's all tea bags. I am not a tea snob and love Celestial Seasonings, Bigelow, Tazo, etc. just as much as fancier teas online. I do also like cocoa (as does my husband) and like trying different flavors (mint, peanut butter, mocha even) but I tend to avoid stuff with high fructose corn syrup if I can. I love Abuelita (the Mexican hot chocolate discs) and similar solid chocolate disks that you melt into milk. And I love hot apple cider and have been known to make an exception on the corn syrup thing for a packet of cider. My tea drinking day (seriously!) usually goes like this: Peppermint or other mint tea in the a.m.; orange spice or Earl Grey tea in the early morning after first class is done; fruity teas in the early afternoon; something different for late afternoon--tea with spice, something vanilla, etc. By the way, I used to really love chamomile but something about it is just too grassy and herbal for me now, and I tend not to drink decaf tea (though obviously a rooibos or tisane is naturally caffeine-free and that's fine--I just mean like decaf black tea--it always seems like something's missing.)
Totem/symbol: I have a phoenix (oddly enough a black one, gotten long before I was ever into BPAL) on my lower back and an ankh on my shoulder. I like symbols that represent eternal life/rebirth in some way. I also love cats--domestic cats, big cats, all cats.
Do you need a box for your bpal bottles? Your imps? Your something else to put in a box stuff? Not really, no.
If you could be any person, being, or animal from Fantasy what or who would you be? I would love to be able to fly for a day. I have dreams of flying often and would love to really be able to do it. I would enjoy being a super-rich celebrity just for a while to see what it's like. Then I could come back to my normal life.
If you could go back to any point in time, where, when, why? I can't really think of any specific time, honestly. Maybe the 80s to be an adult at that time rather than a little kid.
Favorite Halloween Candy/Treat? I love caramel apple pops, Snickers, Butterfingers, and Twix. I always traded my sister my Tootsie Rolls (which I don't like) for some of her candy! I also like super-sugary and sour stuff like Pixy Stix and Warheads. I don't like marshmallow pumpkins, mallowcreme pumpkins, or candy corn.
Would you be interested in an astrology birth chart? Yes, I would love something like that! I was born 6:15 pm Nov. 20 1977.
What movie scared the bejeezus out of you as a child? Nightmare on Elm Street. I watched it when I was probably too young to watch it.

Comfort Rereads?: Any of my Stephen King books, but mainly The Stand. V. C. Andrews' Flowers in the Attic and My Sweet Audrina. I re-read The Chronicles of Narnia every once in a while too. I named one of our ducks Lucy after Lucy Pevensie in the books.
Will you be going out of town during the round, or is there any other time during the round when it would not be ideal for you to receive a package from your witch? Not really, no.
If you are in school now, what classes are you taking? Does anything you are currently studying really interest you? (if you are not in school, is there anything you are trying to learn?) I am not in school but I teach school (college aged) and I mainly teach composition and technical writing. I personally would like to learn more about gardening, as I am not amazing at it, and I am always trying to learn more about cooking. I consider myself a good cook but there is always more to learn.
Favorite word? I like snarky. I also like wonky. I call my husband smoo-bear a lot, and I like the word smoo. Not really a real word but who cares?!
Steampunk? Not really. I enjoyed Neal Stephenson's The Diamond Age but I'm not really into steampunk.

No sensitivities, although the softer and fuzzier the better! I would love something in black, baby pink (not hot pink), or rainbow. Bonus points for fringe or glitter!
Gift Certificate: physical or email? There are few big-box places around me: Wal-Mart, Applebee's, McDonald's, that sort of thing. So really, if I would be able to use it, it would have to be online!
What places to do you visit that you'd like a gift card to? Starbucks, Target, Wal-Mart, B&N, a favorite restaurant or clothing shop? Sephora. Bath and Body Works. Olive Garden (we drive 1/2 hour to get to one so it's a special sometimes treat). Outback (same thing). Target (same).
Favorite Yankee Candles? Or other brands scents? I don't really buy them enough to have specific favorites with one exception: Leaves by Slatkin. Other than that, I like lavender, vanilla, strawberry, pineapple, coconut, fall leaves, and cherry scented candles.
Would you like a zuni animal fetish? And if so, what animal? I honestly don't know what I would do with one; sorry.
Glow in the dark radishes? No.
Cake or Frosting? Neither--I like pie better! Gooseberry pie, butterscotch pie, or french silk pie ... yum! If I do have to eat cake, I like red velvet with buttercream frosting or carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. But cake is not my #1 dessert.
Are you interested in mini bottles(under 100ml for hand luggage) of bath and body products? Sure--I enjoy keeping a bottle of lotion in my purse when my hands feel dry, and I like taking things with me to test out. Just no soaps.
Vampire shows, literature, etc? Yay or nay? No on the TV shows but yes on vampire lit and movies. I'm not big on Twilight but anything else is fair game. Love the Anne Rice Vampire series and loved Bram Stoker's Dracula (film).
Cake truffles? If YES! Cake/icing/chocolate type? Those look cute! I would love red velvet/buttercream or vanilla frosting; carrot cake; cream cheese or vanilla frosting; or chocolate with vanilla frosting.
If you play console video games, what game systems do you have and what games would you love to have? We pretty much have everything except super new consoles. What we have: PS1, PS2, XBox, XBox 360, Nintendo (gray old-school kind), Nintendo DS. I'd love to have a copy of Bubble Bobble for the Nintendo! I love playing that game.
How do you all feel about flowers and plants? Flower and plant seeds? Drawings of flowers or plants? Pressed flowers? Flowers and plants, great! Flower and plant seeds, fantastic! I'd love poppy seeds, wildflower mix, or veggie seeds (carrots, beets, lettuce, spinach, tomato, etc.)--preferably things that will grow in the mountainous area of Colorado (6,500 feet). No drawings or pressed flowers, though.
How do you feel about marzipan? Love it! I love anything with it inside, or even those little marzipan shapes. I love the scent and taste of almonds. Almond cookies, almond pastries ... I even add almond extract to my peach pies!

Is there any country you particularly like, or are interested in? Japan. Also England as my family is from there, far back.
Are you a foodie? Yes! I teach a course about food and we read Alice Waters, Anthony Bourdain, etc. I love eating and thinking about recipes, cooking techniques, etc. Today I have a short rib beef stew with ale bubbling away at home. This week we'll have hominy and zucchini stew with buttermilk honey cornbread and chicken stuffed with feta, spinach, and pine nuts, for example. I make a menu each week and it's a fun part of my weekend. I'd love any recipes you'd like to share.
Do you like journals/notebooks/sketchbooks? I do! I keep diaries--have done so since I was nine (and still have those)--and I love to have actual journals to write in. I prefer lined paper rather than blank paper, though--my weirdness about wanting to stay within the lines is evident.
If your witch made you something and it didn't come out just right, would you still want it? Of course! Often the imperfections are what make things unique and interesting.
Sports: Not interested in any sports at all.
Holiday decorations: I am a Grinch I don't decorate. No one to appreciate it here except the critters and husband. And it just makes me think clutter, and I hate clutter. (I know! Totally the Grinch.)
How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? Yes, and the cuter the better. I love Japanese stationery with cute little animal characters on it. If it's just something with my name or initial on it, then contemporary is nice. I do actually write letters so I enjoy having stationery.
Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated veggies, pickled onions, chilli jam?). That would be awesome as I love trying other people's foodstuffs. I like jams more than jellies and I love pickles and pickled vegetables. If you have a great chutney that would be cool for nights we eat curry. And I would love your tried and true recipes.
Soundtracks you'd like? I fell in love with the soundtrack to Scott Pilgrim versus the World and would love a copy, burned or real!
If you could see one concert right now, who would it be? I would die if XTC would play--or just Andy Partridge. However, for my more realistic wishes, I'd like to see Mindless Self Indulgence again. They put on a good show.
If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Of course! I love it all--imps, decants, partials.
Would you like something you have to make yourself? Only if it's food! I can't knit, crochet, etc.
Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? Either one! It kind of depends what it is. If it's perfume oil, I'd rather not have hand-made oils as I don't really know what is in there, etc. But if it's food, something crafted, etc., that would be neat.
Soap etailer: Please no soap!
What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? I feel like I probably covered this pretty well in my questionnaire, but if I didn't, let me know. I would like a few things from MAC's Venomous Villains collection (My Dark Magic, She Who Dares) and I am nowhere near a MAC store. And really, almost any of their Dazzleglasses, Dazzle lipsticks, Antique Green pigment, and new nail polishes (Concubine, Imperial Flower, Earthly Harmony, Ming Blue, Jade Dragon, Rain of Flowers) look beautiful.
What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc.? Tea cups I could actually drink out of would be cute. Otherwise, I don't do a lot of vintage stuff in decorating--my home decorating style is very contemporary and modern.
With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? Do you have a place where you list all the BPAL you have or have tried? I have a spreadsheet, actually, but it's a tiny bit out of date. I can tell you that I have tried almost all the GCs with a few that have come out recently as exceptions (Bread and Butter-fly, Roses Pearls and Diamonds, etc.), none of the Vamps except VILF (really interested in Tombeur), a lot of LEs, got sniffies of everything Halloweenie and Trading Post update. My list of "want to try" items on my wishlist (linked in sig) is pretty accurate for the most part.
If you are a tea-drinker do you need a tea-cozie for your pot? I actually don't have a tea pot--I either heat water in a small saucepan or an electric kettle. So no.
Do you like maple sugar candy? Yes--I love maple. And it makes me think of Little House on the Prairie!

Is there anything you need for your kitchen: measuring cups, spoons, grater, etc.? Red tea towels/hand towels. A better beer bottle opener. Mine is just a cap-off thing on a magnet. It's pretty sucky. I'd love something that would be cute *and* open beers. (As I homebrew, we drink a lot of beer around here.)

If I were to knit a scarf, would you prefer a skinny one, or a wide one? A short one, that when wrapped once around your neck will just tuck under your jacket, or a long one, at least to your waist? I actually do wear scarves when it gets cold here, which it will, so a scarf would be welcome. Bonus points if it has fringe or pompoms!

Um, I don't really wear costumes all that much, but I'd put together an Alice costume--blue dress, blonde wig, etc. and little bunny purse like they have on Sockdreams!

What kind of a cook/baker are you? I tend to cook every day. Dinner revolves around what was in our CSA box for the week and what's interesting. I do lots of slow cooker/crock pot stuff in the school semesters. I am not afraid of long or complicated recipes though. I like recipes that call for real ingredients, not cream-of-something soup and meat. I mostly bake cookies, brownies, or pies. I don't tend to make cakes as they are not my first choice for dessert.
If I send you something homemade would you like the recipe for it? Yes, please, if you're willing to share.
How about home made mixes or kits? Kind of like the cookie in a jar thing, where you would need to add the perishable ingredients? For baking, sure. Not like soup mixes and stuff like that. If you can and have a good pickling spice, that would be neat. I'd almost prefer just the recipe and/or the real baked good, though, instead of getting the mix stuff--unless they are ingredients I don't have easy access to here.

What is your favourite habitat and climate to live in? How about to visit? (ie. forest, canyons, mountains, by the beach; temperate, tropical...) Not at all humid. Dry, but not arid desert--some green. Someplace with seasons and leaves turning, but not too much snow. To visit would be someplace like Hawaii as it's so different from where I am now. I live in the mountains at 6,500 feet.

What is your favourite historical period? The 80s ... can I say that? I love the music, the clothing (don't laugh) except for the huge shoulder pads, and many of the movies.

Do you believe in magic (or magick, if you prefer)? What does it mean to you? Yes. I believe that people can be psychic and I think sometimes I have a little bit of intuition that helps me make decisions. I believe Tarot can be used in harmony with a good reader to learn more about decision-making. I believe in candle rituals with the use of TALs to concentrate on good outcomes. I buy small candles and anoint them with TAL oils, then light them while thinking about my intended outcome.

I cook every single day and would love cooking related stuff. Cookbooks are wonderful, especially dessert ones (ice cream! I have Perfect Scoop though) and regional ones. I love old church cookbooks with cream-of everything recipes. I have an apron but a handmade one could be sweet. Recipes you love and treasure are FANTASTIC! Herbs and spices you like and think I'd enjoy (I love curries, for instance). I can always use dish/tea towels especially embroidered or cute. Basically if it's handy, special to your area, or you love it, I'd love it too.
Are you an avid reader? What's your favorite book/series? Yes, though I don't have as much time as I wish. I like science fiction and horror and comedy. I love Stephen King but have almost all of his books. I like Gaiman and am missing quite a few.

If you do any kind of craft, could you use supplies? What kind? knitting needles, yarn, amazing fabric, pinking shears, cool thimbles or pincushions, jewelry making supplies, beads, etc.?
I'm not too talented of a crafter, but I do make bath and body items, so scented oils to make those items (whether natural, like essential oils, or artificial--either is fine). Something like Daystar's perfume oils--I use those in bath bombs. They have a whole line of LUSH-like scents that are great; I've tried Honey I Washed the Kids and Candy Fluff.
What's your favorite pain-relief remedy or ritual?
Last night I had a terrible back-ache that kept me from sleeping. I took two ibuprofen and put a hot pad on my back and slept on my side. If it hadn't been 1 am I would have taken a very hot bath with some salts to try to help and drink some wine.
What BPAL scent have you never tried but always wanted to? What scent have you tried and LOVED, and haven't been able to get more of and why?
I want to try Pirate Moon because it has red musk in it, but it's aquatic sounding from the reviews, so I'm not sure if it would be good on me or not. I would love a tester of Pirate Moon. I recently fell in love with Ecstasy of Passion, which was dumb since I'll probably never find it anywhere. My trifecta of BPAL is Mitzvah, Underpants, and Spanked: three that I absolutely fanatically love and that are hard to find.
I know we're all scent sensitive here. What are your favorite non-perfume smells? Day in the life stuff?
I don't drink coffee but I do love the smell of it. I like coffee scented perfumes, air fresheners, etc. I love the smell of honeysuckle flowers, bruised mint leaves, and newly mown grass. The smell of beer when it's brewing is fantastic and one of the reasons I love to brew beer! And the smell of my kitties' fur, which I can't liken to anything else.
Coffee drinkers, what types of beans to you like? Kona, Sumatra, Kenya..etc. How do you like them roasted? Do you like flavors, such as hazelnut, vanilla, etc. in your coffee? No coffee, thank you.
Who has a birthday falling in this round? Soooo close but no. My birthday is after the round ends--11/20. I will be 32 this year!
For those of us who like chocolate, do you like anything /in/ your chocolate, like fruit, nuts, or for the more daring among us, chilies? Yes! Typically chocolate by itself is a little too heady for me, so I like stuff in it. Chilies are awesome, as are cherries, hazelnuts, marzipan, caramel, coconut, and mint. I don't like peanuts; not too keen on almonds, though they're okay; no citrus fruits like lime, orange, or lemon. Oh, and I do love the sugar foam like in Crunchie bars--sometimes called seafoam or honeycomb. That stuff is the bomb in chocolate.
Are there any childhood shows/movies/games/books/etc. that still hold a really special place in your heart?
I loved reading VC Andrews books when I was young and still have all my dog-eared copies and read them (re-reading My Sweet Audrina right now). My two favorite Disney movies were The Secret of NIMH and The Fox and the Hound. I must have watched those over and over. When I was young I played The Legend of Zelda on my Nintendo constantly and I watched Red Dwarf on TV. I tend to go back to comforting things like that a lot--I don't seek the new out often, but instead re-read or re-watch things I loved from long ago.
There has been a lot of talk about chocolate, but none about Candy! What is your favorite Candy? What candy do you hate?
I like hard candies of all kinds, especially the ones that taste like ice cream flavors or fruits or things like that. I like licorice--black licorice--and it reminds me of my dad, who always had licorice around for a snack. I love anything with sour powder on it and the more sour, the better. Those "nuclear warheads" candies are great--they're super-sour. I like dime store candy like Bleeps, Fruit Bon Bons, Root Beer Barrels, and Runts.
I don't like gummy candies, jelly candies, jelly beans, swedish fish, gummy worms, etc. If it's gooey and sticky inside, unless it's caramel, I probably will be grossed out. I can't stand watermelon flavor, so no watermelon gum or hard candy. I don't really like saltwater taffy or Starlight Mints (although I do like mint--just not mint discs).

No objection to downloads or torrented files. My internet connection is fairly fast but a burned CD or DVD would be easier.

There's a Mono Puff CD called Unsupervised that is out of print and I can never seem to find that I want.
What's something you're really looking forward to in the semi-near future?
Our two-year wedding anniversary is November 24, which is four days after my birthday, November 20. Also, a little further out, I'm really looking forward to the day we buy our first house. We're not ready yet but hoping next year maybe.
Could you use a 'travel' imp case? How many should it hold? That would be great! It could hold from 3 to 13--I like to travel with a small set of options.
What fictional character do you most identify with and why? Holden Caulfield from The Catcher in the Rye. One of my favorite books and I just love his dry wit, his feeling of alienation and being misunderstood, and being annoyed by everyone else with few exceptions. That's me!
As a witchee, would you prefer to have many little packages sent to you throughout the round with a not-so-big final package or fewer things throughout the round with one HUGE final package to seal the sweetness?
Honestly, I like little packages and e-cards frequently to let me know you're around, but if that's prohibitive for you for whatever reason, one or two larger packages is fine. I just like contact in terms of e-cards, emails, whatever to know you're thinking about SW!

I'm on MySpace and Facebook but both are private. I'm also on Twitter but don't tweet, just follow.
What kind of socks?
Any kind! I am especially partial to fuzzy socks (chenille, etc.), stripey socks (of all colors and styles), and knee socks. But I have a special place in my heart for all kinds of socks. Pretty much you could go to SockDreams, pick anything, and I would love it. I wear a size 8.5 shoe so I can wear pretty much all socks.
How often do you update your wishlist?
If I'm doing a lot of swapping lately, usually as soon as I get packages in. So sometimes weekly/daily. But then other times I go a while without updating. Plus, keep in mind that my wishlist right now is pretty huge because I'm a completionist and I'm trying (slowly) to smell everything in BPAL-dom. We'll see how long that lasts. My real WISHlist is the top part of the wishlist link I have ... the scents I really want.

I go to the local Ren Faire and usually dress up as a pixie in black clothing. I know, really authentic! I love anything that a fairy or pixie might wear, especially in black, blue, or in woodsy tones/colors. There's nothing I'm specifically seeking at the moment, though.

My favorite artist is Van Gogh. I love Monet also and I like Lichtenstein.
What's your stance on cranberries? They're okay in sauces and things. I don't really like them dried or chocolate covered (yuck). I do love the smell of them, though. The Body Shop has cranberry scented things that I love and I can't get normally because we don't have a Body Shop around here.

If I'm feeling healthy, a banana, apple, peach, or other fruit. Perhaps a yogurt or a bagel. If I'm feeling unhealthy, then potato chips or Bugles or cookies.
Do you have a favorite bpal bottle art?
I love the Underpants label (along with it being a favorite scent!) I also think the original Bitter Moon is beautiful--I have a trunk show bottle but I'd love an empty original Bitter Moon bottle so that I'd have the artwork. And I have been trying, and trying, and trying to get a bottle of Bakeneko with the cat on it. I love the little demon kitty and I have three cats, so it's a special bottle to me.
Are there any decants from the Halloweenies, Literary Vampires, Gris Grimly, or Hellboy that you would be interested in receiving?
I've gotten decants of the Poes (Grimly), Halloweenies, and smelled Hellboy ones. The only one I didn't jump on that I now see good reviews for is The Girl. I'd kind of like to try The Girl to see if it would work on me despite the jasmine.
What is your idea of the perfect evening at home?
Sitting in front of a crackling fire (in our nonexistent fireplace), drinking hot tea, cocoa, or cider, watching a movie snuggled up with my husband and the kitties are on the couch with us. Then going to bed early and falling asleep easily so that I wake up nice and refreshed!

It's pretty. It's cool and at night it's perfect for hot tea. I hate the snow, though. I drive a Miata and I refuse to give it up, so it sits lonely for about 4-6 months in the winter if it snows.

How broad are your musical tastes?
Pretty broad! I love music. I love receiving mix CDs of new things I might like *hint* I love getting mp3s or even suggestions of new artists or songs. Videos, too. I love watching old 80s videos, like Erasure, New Order, Depeche Mode, Information Society, etc. I can say unequivocally that I Do. Not. Want. country music of any kind, though. Nothing twangy, no bluegrass, no country.
Which of the seven deadly sins is most likely to be your undoing? Gluttony. I love food. I am a foodie. I cook every day and seek out new recipes, new ingredients, new techniques. However, sloth is a close second. I try to spend as much of my day doing as little as possible and I love sleep!
Would a "gift" donation to one of the organizations/causes you support be a great gift, or a lame gift?
It would be wonderful. I would prefer donations made to animal organizations, maybe local to me or to you so that I feel the monies will be better spent. Or make a donation of food, blankets, toys, etc. to your local humane society and let me know. I would love that.

Gads, too many to choose. The first thing that springs to my mind is stained glass. I always found the stained glass in church beautiful. Today I long for a house with stained glass windows. It sounds complicated and just the type of thing for apprenticing. Otherwise, I would go with glassblowing, perfumerie, or jewelry making with silver. Foodwise, I'd love to apprentice under Anthony Bourdain and learn the real ins and outs of being a gastrophile.
Who is musically inclined? What instruments (voice counts) do you play? I sing informally but no instruments. I took piano a long time ago but I don't think I was ever very good.

Sure--I am not a candle snob by any means. I like Yankee's Coconut Bay, Sweet Strawberry, and Christmas Cookies. I have a tart burner and enjoy tarts of all kinds. I tend toward foody scents and fruits, no "clean cotton" or ocean type scents. I tend to burn a lot of incense and really enjoy trying new ones out.
How do you feel about clothing/accessories made from animals? Anti-fur, leather, shells, etc.? Does even faux wig you out? They do not bother me.
I am on an origami crane kick recently, so I wonder if anyone will be interested in origami crane earrings, origami crane in a glass vial (~1.2cm wide) phone charm/pendant or just a container filled with cranes of different sizes.

Yes--I am a homebrewer of both mead/wine and beer. I love Hefeweizens, Irish red ales, cream ales, and Snakebites (cider + Guinness). For mixed drinks, I usually do a vodka and tonic with lime, extra lime. And for wine, I usually drink Gewurtztraminer and Pinot Gris/Grigio/Noir. And I love hard apple cider.

I drink both, but I actually prefer tea bags for iced tea and loose for hot tea. So, a fruit tea would be great in bags; a chai or a spicy tea would be good loose. I love the colored sugar at SBS teas and colored or fancy sugar in general.

They look very cute, and I tend to like jewelry of all kinds.

I don't mind burned/downloaded anything. I don't know much at all about Repo ... enable me!

I love stationery--writing paper or cards. I have some small cards from the last round, but I just used up my last page of actual writing paper yesterday. I love designs that are cute or Japanese stationery. I write letters to friends so it's always handy to have writing paper, stickers, cute stuff like that. I don't use pencils; only pens.
WKAP scents?
Nah. I smelled the protos at Convergence and I was unimpressed. Nothing really calls to me and I'd probably rather get the Yules, whatever they will be.
Which shoes do you own that are your favorite? What are your "daily drivers"?
I wear ballet flats constantly. My favorite pair of shoes is a pair that has a design split across both shoes. They're by a company called Camper. One side says "I love you," and the other says "I love you not" and they have little flower petals falling! They're adorable. I enjoy wearing different shoes and they tend to be flats. Oh, and I live in flip flops during the summer.
And I must say, those Vibram shoes talked about in the thread squick me out.

I love tea of most kinds and I haven't specifically tried Adagio but would love to. I like black teas with flavoring and rooibos. A sampler to try many things would be fantastic. What kinds of crafts does everyone either enjoy making or enjoy getting?
I like to bead jewelry and make bath and body stuff.
I love getting crafts of the sort that I am not able to make (i.e. knitted, cross-stitched, or embroidered stuff, but especially knitworks). And I'm in awe of some of the beautiful BPAL boxes some people make! I keep my imps in a small decorated box which is somewhat overflowing. I like to keep my bottles upright and so that I can see the labels, though, which keeps me from ever really desiring a box for bottles. I could use an imp box much more than a bottle box.
Oh, and I drink tonnes of tea, all out of some boring tea cups. I know some people are wonderful with pottery and I think that would be really neat, to be able to make some unique tea mugs.
if you're NOT a vegan how would you feel about soaps made with emu oil? Squicked out/concerned about animal cruelty, or willing to try them?
I don't really use soap, but if I did, I wouldn't care.
Do you have a certain type of handmade item that you love to collect? Socks, boxes, jewelry, dolls etc?
I luuuuurve socks of all kinds, especially those with stripeys. I like cute earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. One of my favorites I just got recently had a little tiny fishtank with a goldfish cutout in it. Cute cute cute.
I'm not much of a knick-knacky person otherwise. Now, if someone had the talent to make a little lucky cat, I would treasure it forever and it would likely fit right in with my collection!
Are there any of the BPTP bath oils you adore (particularly ones that you cannot get anymore). What about the room sprays?
I have never tried any Which is weird because I love baths like nobody's business, but I guess I've just missed out on all of the really interesting inquisition ones and then the one I reallllly want to try (Gula), I keep waffling on.
I just used up a goblin squirt of Okiya last night--it's pretty, but I don't know if I want a full size. No, the ones I really loved were Bah Humbug and Goblin of Yuletide Present. I'm interested in trying Snow White, Down the Rabbit Hole, Goblin of Yuletide Past, and Goblin of Yuletide Yet To Come. I really like the atmosphere sprays (from BPAL and other companies too) and give my pillows a few spritzes before bed most nights ... it's soothing. I'm interested in the Samhain spray (Knock A Dolly).

Love tea. Drink tea every day. I like black teas best, followed by herbal/tisanes and white teas. I am not much of a fan of mate/yerba mate or green tea.

That would be pretty awesome. I love anything pickled. I like bread and butter (sweet) better than dill but both are good.

UGH. I get earwormed very, very easily. Most mornings I wake up with music playing in my mind. Over. and. Over. It drives me crazy quite honestly. Right now it's "I get by with a little help from my friends." And I have no clue why!

Jingu. It's okay. Soft and sweet, but I think my imp is enough.

What are your favorite animals? Or, what animals resonate strongly with you?
Cats. I have always had cats, love them, currently have three. I think they're beautiful and enigmatic (and cute and fuzzy too).
I love animals of all kinds. I like polar bears, mice and rats, zebras, giraffes, and lions. I always head straight for the big cats section of the zoo when I visit a zoo out of town (none here in TinyTown).
And if we're talking animals in terms of fantastical animals, then phoenices. I have a tattoo of a black phoenix on my lower back (guess it was meant to be that I ended up here at BPAL, huh?) and it is a symbol I really resonate with.

Not really; I don't care much for history. I really prefer modern things in books and movies most generally.

Chips?
Sure. I've always been fascinated by odd flavored chips: ketchup, dill pickle, shrimp, etc. If you have weird flavored chips (or candy, or whatever) in your town and want to enable me with weirdness, go ahead!
For regular nomming-ness, I eat salt and vinegar chips mostly along with original flavor (just potato) and cheddar cheese. I confess I'm not much of a BBQ or sour cream and onion chip eater.

Are you interested in Tarot or Tarot art?
I just recently received a Tarot deck and I'm learning how to use it. More than a different deck or art, I'd appreciate help learning how to read. However, I do like a Tarot deck I saw that has cats on it (see Amazon.com).

Sample sized anything *except* soap and shampoo bars (unless they are LUSH) would be great! I apologize, but LUSH is the only company whose shampoo bars work with my hair, and I don't use soap.
What about burnables as in candles, tarts and/or incense?
Any of the above, although I tend to prefer incense above all else. I like Japanese ritual incense, Fred Soll incense, and even resins to burn on charcoal. And maybe I'm cliche, but I love nag champa and similar Indian incenses.
What one item would you just love to have that is made by a Switch Witch?
Anything creative and crafty! I love to get things that are unique and that someone made by hand.
Is your abode a palace covered in fur, a disaster area ,or a neat freaks delight?
Pretty neat, although that's because it's summer and I'm home all day. During the semester when I teach, it becomes a little more disaster-ish in my mind. I'm a bit of a neatnik overall and like things in their places, lined up.

I drive a 1991 Mazda Miata (red) named Miho. She has a steering wheel cover but actually, I could use a new dangly air freshener! Plus, when the cats go to the vet's, they get fur in the air, so they're also kind of fuzzy cherries. A blessing for my car sounds cool. I like to put stuff in my car that's decorative, so go wild. Hard candies are great. I love those old-fashioned ribbon type candies, the little hard strawberries wrapped up in paper that looks like a strawberry, licorice (red and black, but mostly black), etc.
I'll also eat chips sometimes. I hate hate hate corn chips like Doritos, Fritos, etc. with a passion. Potato chips of all kinds are good though.

I have a ton of lotion to go through, so I'm not really jonesing for more lotion, although I can always use handmade shea butter type thick lotions for my hands and feet (it gets dry out here!) In trying to decide what to fix for dinner, I thought that I've received some great recipes from friends (particularly the culinary mastermind that is scotchgrrl). I also have a few great recipes of my own. So would anyone like to receive some original, or very much loved recipes from his/her witch?
YES! Absolutely. I love cooking, cook nearly all of our meals at home from scratch, and love trying new recipes. I just ask that they don't have cilantro as a central focus (i.e., I couldn't leave the cilantro out if I felt like it because it's a major portion of the dish).
Which flavors are you interested to try from the Chocolate Research Facility?
The design of this site drove me bonkers. I couldn't even figure out where the flavors were.
For me, milk chocolate only, and it can be with cherries, coconut, caramel, or other things sponsored by the letter "C." Ha! No nuts or raisins, please. Spicy (curry or pepper) are awesome!
Do you wear makeup or nail polish? Need brushes, containers, storage, mani/pedi supplies? What colors and brands do you like?
I am a magpie. I love shiny, sparkly, glittery things of all kinds and that includes makeup. I don't really need any storage or brushes, but anything sparkly, glittery, etc. in the makeup or nail polish world would be loved and embraced! I tend to wear lighter and pastel colors a lot, like baby pinks, lighter reds, etc. but I do also love bold color--bright teal, chartreuse green, red glitter, etc. I am not that big a fan of bright purple as a makeup color, though, and anything with orange or yellow tones looks sickly on me. My favorite brands are MAC, Urban Decay, Stila, NARS, Too Faced, and Sugar Cosmetics.

Hair adornments?

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! I love smelling like it and eating it. I use virgin coconut oil as "lotion" and I love to eat coconut pudding, coconut cream pie, etc. I like things that smell strongly of coconut and/or suntan lotion, too.

I've mentioned candy previously, but I love caramel, licorice, and hard candies, also sour candies, the more sour the better. I don't like Jordan almonds, burnt peanuts, circus peanuts, most marshmallow-heavy candies (think Peeps), gummy candies, and dark chocolate or white chocolate.
Would you like a bowl and tarts to use the residual heat (and for extra safety)?
No thank you; I already have an electric tart warmer and bowl.
What is your favorite classic fairy tale or children's story?
My absolute favorite children's story as a little kid was the Very Hungry Caterpillar. Apparently I read that book over, and over, and over, and over...
I always preferred Aesop's fables over fairy tales, although I did read both. My favorites were "Belling the Cat" and "The Fox and the Grapes."
Have you any desire to read Hannibal?
Not really. Husband would probably be interested since he watched all the movies, but it's not quite my style of reading.

Lip balm?
I like lip balm. I have a couple near my desk always. My absolute favorite is Labello Tropical Shake but of course it's European and a bit hard to get as a result. I like coconut, fruity (strawberry, cherry), or vanilla scented lip balms. And they can have flavor, too; that's fine. I like the plain Burt's Bees tube and I haven't tried any of the "flavored" ones they have (pomegranate, etc.)
What's that one thing you keep meaning to get but keep forgetting or passing over?
I can't think of much. Maybe an old copy of "Joy of Cooking"? I have a newer copy (this is the one I have, the 1997 edition) and it's not supposed to be as good as the older one. I'd really like the facsimile copy of the original--I think that would be awesome! I mean, look at the cover!
Also BPAL's Masquerade. I like it, but I keep passing it over in favor of more LEs. But with the new cuts in the catalog, maybe Masquerade should come home with me someday.
Non-melting candies....what are your favorites?
Any hard peppermints, licorice, hard fruity candies, Werther's originals, Creme Savers orange, Creme Savers strawberry, butterscotch disks, hard tea-flavored candies, mango flavored candies ... I like hard candy. Pretty much anything except coffee, cinnamon, chocolate, melon, or peach flavors. Oh, and how could I forget Lemonheads? Those are probably my favorite candy of all time. EDIT: Holy cow I just bought a bunch of Creme Savers because I couldn't resist the sale at our grocery store. I didn't know they made this many flavors!

As a teacher, I LOVE summer. It is MY time. I like to relax, read the books I have to put aside during the semester, watch movies of all kinds, and catch up on my life. I love summer!

No coffee, thank you. Wine is nice. I prefer whites to reds. I like gewurztraminer, pinot grigio, pinot gris, and of course since I am a meadmaker, mead and other "country" (fruit or herb) wines. I also like Greek retsina.

I think it would be easier to list the e-tailers I have tried. You can go from there! I have tried, and really like, Bathed and Infused, Skindecent, and Isle of Eden. I have tried and don't really like Arcana, Possets, Blooddrop, Nocturne Alchemy, and Artiztic Oils. I tend to stick with BPAL fragrances only but I will try anybody's bath and body products. I am pretty picky with my oils and haven't found other companies' oils to be anywhere near as good as BPAL. However, I do like Bathed and Infused's EDPs and I love Isle of Eden's Red Satin Buttercream (discontinued) and would die for an EDP of it, or something that smells like it. I like bold and fun necklaces, cute necklaces, dainty rings, bold earrings, and I'm good on bracelets and don't really wear anklets.
I like "y" necklaces, puzzle rings or rings that you can twirl the center part on, rings with inscriptions or sayings, and necklaces with interesting charms.
All silver or silver-tone, BTW ... no gold.

Um, all of the above? Ha! For some things, bigger purchases usually, I plan--read reviews, check prices, etc. For small stuff--food and drink, perfumes, etc.--I'm impulsive. I guess I figure the less money I spent, the less disappointed I'd be if I didn't like it, so I'm more apt to plot and plan for big ticket items.

I'm super interested in the Amanda Palmer Blackberry Jam and Scones (or whatever it was) perfume. I looooove scones. If Beth can capture the "scone" note, I'm there! I didn't like it sadly.
I have easy access to Asian candies, tropical fruits(mangosteen, mango, durian, jackfruit) flavored biscuits/chips/snacks, dried tropical fruits, Japanese/korean/taiwanese cosmetics brands and music/CDs. Is there anything you will like from Singapore or Asia in general?
Asian candies (hard candies, gummies, chewing gums) are great, as are things with odd flavors or consistencies we don't find much here. Stationery with cute characters and cosmetics are also fun.
I've recently been listening to Rasputina's 'O Perilous World' album and am particularly enamored by '1816: the Year Without a Summer'. So I'd like to know if my witchee likes Rasputina, and would like any music by them?
I do like them but have most of their albums. However, I am open to anything similar (cello music, etc.)

Hm. Maybe an incense type blend: Nag Champa, sandalwood, cloves, maybe a little cinnamon. Or a orange or orange blossom blend, with fruit (strawberry and orange blossom?).

Do you mean Tesla like the band? No. Or like the guy? I don't really know much about him.
What are your favorite types of baked goods? How would you feel about candied citrus peel, chocolate-covered or not? Would you be interested in the mix version of the baked goods or perhaps a spice mix, something along those lines?
I like cookies and cupcakes best, and I tend to like vanilla/sugar cookie versions (i.e., sugar cookies with or without frosting, vanilla cupcakes with either vanilla buttercream or interesting flavor frostings (the last ones I made were with Nutella frosting), etc.) I also like spice cakes. I tend not to like a lot of chocolate, and something like chocolate cake with chocolate frosting or chocolate chip cookies is really not my style.
I would love candied citrus peel; I tried making it once and failed spectacularly. Along with the "not a big fan of chocolate" above, I wouldn't like chocolate covered citrus anything.
Mix versions or spice mixes are a-ok! I love to bake.
