Thenwhipped soaps look particularly interesting.   Does anyone have a favorite horror movie that they love? Need a copy/DVD of? We mostly do the streaming thing, these days - small flat means limited storage space.   Do you like smallish knitted stuff (hats, fingerless mittens, scarves, toys, etc. -- be specific!)? Generally not hats. Anything else, sure!   Do any of these knitted items appeal to you? Easy Fingerless Mittens - sure! Pfeilraupe Asymmetrical Scarf - very pretty, but not really my thing Odyssey Shawl - yes! Close to You scarf - yes! Rikke Slouch Hat - if it were a particularly light yarn, maybe? I'm almost always hot and hats make it so much worse. Simple Yet Effective Cowl - sure! Knitted Pumpkins - sure! Little Bear Stuffy - sure!   How do you feel about thrift store finds (assuming they're in good condition and have been thoroughly cleaned before shipping)? 100% okay.   9/20/19 I may have bought several full size Rituel de Fille makeup items in a frenzy over their whole vibe. If I tested something once or twice (and it can be sanitized), would you be interested?  Eh, sure. I like trying new things!   Are you interested in trying different skincare products from higher end, clean brands? Sure!   Any interest in anything from Torrid, noting their "fangirl" and Halloween collections are updated?  Yes, but I'm an employee. A gift certificate would be best in this case, unless you are also an employee.   What on the following list would you like to receive something related to (or have something donated to in your and Joni's honor?) ·         animal rescue - sure! Starbucks mugs! The city/state/attraction-specific ones.   Is there anything you would particularly like from Japan? Stationary, bento supplies, a particular snack, etc. The fall flavors for kitkats this year are Chestnut, Sweet Potato and Apple Pie. Starbucks mugs! And everything on this list sounds great.   9/22/19 Thinking about really good natural food stores like Natural Grocers or Whole Foods, if you could have ANY bath and beauty or body care items, what would you love? I don't think anything in particular.    Also what kind of treats, snacks, foods, condiments, bulk items, teas, housewares from the same natural food stores would you love? Fancy mustards, everything bagel seasoning, black or white teas ... IDK what else. We're Aldi people, here.   Also, are there any particular sustainable kitchen or household items you would love to receive? Crocheted/knitted dish cloths and scrubbers - I make them for others, but never get around to doing them for myself.   9/23/19 Did anything catch your eye from the Liliths? 2010 'Weenie Questions!

Wishlists Amazon Universal Wishlist BPAL - in signature, though that's a huge mess. Over at ScentBase, less messy! Etsy   09/02 Baked Goods? Oh, yes. I love soft, buttery shortbread. And some biscotti. And cookies. And bread. And . . . I also bake myself, so recipes (personal favorites or regional specialties) are awesome.   Family Prezzies? Not necessary, though everyone appreciates being thought of.   Bottles/lots of little samples? Either one, really, though I prefer imps/decants of things I haven't tried.   Social Networking Livejournal, Facebook and Twitter, all linked in my signature.   Groupons or similar deals/gift certificates? Groupon tends to be further flung in my area than I can usually use, though I haven't checked restaurant.com since last year Weenie Switch Witch.   09/03 T-Shirt/PJ size L-XL crew if it's boy-type, XL-2X if it's girl-type. Babydolls are always 2X, and I generally wear an XL American apparel. T-shirts are made of win and awesome, the wittier the better!   PJ bottoms, I also buy in XL.   Mix CDs I love them! I think that they're a great way to be exposed to new music. (totally stealing Ralenth's answer.)   Hallowe'en plans? Taking the kids to various local trick-or-treat things, then mulled cider and scary movies (or maybe internetting and video games) at home with the porch lights off. Our neighborhood gets infested with inner city kids for Halloween, and I hate handing out stuff to teenagers and parents who don't even make a stab at a costume.   09/04 Girly Index: Middling. I do hair and makeup if I'm going out or otherwise feel like it, and I love having my fingernails painted but rarely have the patience to do so.   Soft/plushy things I have a Hudson's Santabear from 1980-something that I've slept with since I got it when I was in lower single digits. I also love plushy microbes (I lust after a bookworm) and Raggedy Ann and Andy.   Jane Austen? Yes, books and movies.   Do you read Tarot cards? If not, would you be interested? Yes, but I'm better at (and prefer) runes, particularly sticks. I have a couple tarot decks (a fairy one with its own book, and a new renaissance one that I got from my witch a few rounds ago), but I find them more difficult to read. One day, I'll sit down and practice, but that day hasn't happened yet.   eBooks Sure, preferably PDF format as I'd be reading them on my computer. Though I do vastly prefer paper books, I'm starting to not hate the computer version.   Guilty TV pleasure Pretty much anything I watch. VH1/MTV video shows (in the morning, they really play videos!) are probably the guiltiest, but I kind of hate TV in general. So, if I'm interested enough to watch something, it's a guilty pleasure. That said? The Tudors. I eat that historical romance soap opera shit right up.   Cosplay/costume I do a lot of Ren faire-ing and SCA stuff, so bits and pieces for that are awesome. For SCA, I'm fairly early period (12th century) Irish, so jewelery tends to be pretty chunky and Viking-ish. For cons and things . . . I'd really love a Firefly-ish costume, probably Zoe or Kaylee. Or a steampunk-y newsie. So, bits and pieces towards any of those would be win.   Harry Potter house Gryffindor with Ravenclaw leanings. Think Hermione, and you've about got it.   Alan Rickman, David Tennant, the Winchester Boys? Yes, yes, no.   Scented Tarts: I've never tried them.   Lip Balms? Yes, but I am fairly picky. I can't do Burt's Bees, for instance - they tend to leave my lips more chapped.   Body Mods: Earrings only, two holes in each ear. One day, though, I will have a tattoo or two.   Booze? Yes. I love red wines, dark beers, vodka and rum, though I am always open to new things. I also adore most meads and some cordials.   What is your favorite artist or art style? Photography! Other than that, I'm more about colors than a specific artist or style. Except for Edward Gorey, who is amazing.   09/05 Favorite Snack? Those sesame stick things that they put in snack mixes. Gummy worms (the plain old fashioned ones). Baked (salted) pumpkin seeds.   What hobby/craft would you like to learn how to do? Knit/crochet, sew (well, improve my skills there)   For those who decorate for Halloween, do you prefer cute decorations or creepy ones? Creepy, all the way. Being scared is at least half the fun!   Also, as part of the cute-or-creepy question, would you want hand made, molded, glazed (by yours truly!) ceramic decorations (napkin rings, potporri/tart warmers, etc) to add to your stock? Normally, I would say yes but I live with too many people in a small house. Everything gets broken or otherwise destroyed. So, thank you very much for the thought, but unless they're tealight/votive holders, no thanks.   how do you feel about mortars and pestles Adore them. They're the one thing I collect.   Is there anything you have a phobia of, or that would make you go "squick" if you saw it in a package? Nope, can't say there is.   9/6/10 When you go to an etsy wishlist, it will tell you what things are sold. If you click on the sold item, sometimes it will give options that are similar to what was sold, but not identical, would you like the similar item or prefer not to get it at all unless it's the same item? How picky are you? Not! The wishlists are, for the most part, an indicator of taste more than a ZOMG EXACT THING I want.   Do you wear make up? Rarely, but I have a favorite brand already.   Disney movies, Yay or Nay, and favourites if you do like them? Oh, yes! Most of the cartoons. Anything Haley Mills. Probably my all-time favorites are Moonspinners and The Jungle Book.   Do you have A VCR, DVD Player or Blue Ray or a combo of the three? We have a computer with a DVDRom/burner that we use for a DVD player. One day, it's likely to get upgraded to blueray (or we'll get a PS3), but until then, DVD all the way. (And, for the burned DVD question I think I missed, sure! I'm really fond of those anime music video things if they're done well. Harry Potter fanvids. Firefly/Serenity. Etc.)   Would you like custom icons as a gift? Yes! I love them. I'm an old school Comico girl (Robotech, Mage, Elementals, Evangeline, etc), and I have the first Freakangels book but would love the rest. I like the aesthetic as a whole, and I love thinking up alternate history stuff and making characters in my head. No sensitivities/allergies, but I prefer natural fibers. Yay or nay? Meh. I like the classics, yeah, and I loved The Vampire Diaries when I was a kid. But mostly, I can't be arsed to care. Give me scary, gritty, modern fae fighting for existence in a world that doesn't have enough wonder to sustain them. That's sexy, and also sad and terrifying.   If you play console video games, what game systems do you have and what games would you love to have? We have a PS2, and would love anything Silent Hill. Also my in-laws have a Wii, and we'd love anything Rock Band or Mario.   How do you all feel about flowers and plants? Flower and plant seeds? Drawings of flowers or plants? Pressed flowers? I know a lot about flowers and plants academically speaking, but am terrible at keeping them alive. So seeds and such, probably not so much (though I really want to try one of those Aero things some day). Drawings and pressed/dried, sure!   How do you feel about marzipan? .....ew. But it's fun to sculpt with, and subtleties (food made to look like something else) are a time-honored tradition, and often made of marzipan.   If you could have 3 BPAL bottles fall (gently) out of the sky right this second that you've been looking for or pining for - which 3 would they be? Uh . . . I don't know. I try not to pay attention when I know I can't buy, and I have bottles of most of my can't live withouts. Though, I keep not buying Tintagel because 'it's GC, it'll be there forever!', and I should know better. I'd also really like to try Yuki Onna.   Are there any international treats that you love and have a hard time finding? Real Australian Tim Tams. Also, the German gummy bears that I used to love when I was a kid - the ones made with real juice and stuff that are still the same texture/consistency as regular gummy bears (and if they have gummy worms like that, even better).   Is there anything from the 'Ween BPTP update that you would like but haven't ordered for yourself? The Pomegranates and Lambs Wool. (I haven't ordered any of it, but most of the 'Weenies end up being too foodie for me.)   If you are a crafter, would you like to receive supplies from your witch (beads, fabric, yarn/roving etc?) It's the thought that counts.   Are you a foodie? In scents, not at all. In philosophy, oh gods, yes.   Any sports fans in the house? What's your favorite sport/team/player? Pretty much the Detroit teams, if we're talking pro, and Michigan teams if we're talking college. We're big hockey fans, moderate football fans, and pretty indifferent to everything else that isn't olympics.   For holidays, do you decorate? Would you like decorative stuff, weenie or otherwise? If so, do you lean towards the elegant, the crafty/folksy, or the more, erm, campy? We would decorate, if in a better neighborhood/house. Mostly, elegant - for Halloween, elegant and spooky-scary. Our Christmas tree is music themed - all the ornaments are instruments (or things playing instruments - we have a reindeer jazz band, for instance)/bells. So, if you find something awesome at some year-round Christmas store or whatever, sure (especially if it's of the unbreakable sort) - they're hard to find even in Frankenmuth.   9/13/10 what interests you from the latest lab update? I don't know anything about Dawn-the-comic-book (feel free to educate me if you're into that kind of thing!) but the related scents sound fantastic. Harvest moon sounds delicious, but it's got the dreaded word "dry" in it, so I don't know how it'd work out - decant or testable sniffie would be awesome. Mabon and Wildfire sound like they'd make me swoon. Is that all? I'm afraid to look too much deeper, as I totally can't afford to go on a perfume buying binge right now.   How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? I love it/them. Fountain pens are a personal favorite, as are the Sharpie pens, particularly the retractable kind, and I like all sorts of stationary. I have some Emily the Strange stuff right now, and some with cutesy cartoon versions of internal organs.   Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated veggies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) Oh yes, so very much. Especially with recipes!   If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Yes!   Would you like something you have to make yourself? Mmm . . . well, it depends. Recipes are a definite yes. Puzzles are cool. I don't do a lot of models or that kind of stuff, though; that's more my husband's thing.   Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. I have to admit, I don't usually use bar soap. But just to look at, I adore Paintbox.   What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc etc? Not so much, at least not until I have a house of my own that actually fits my family.   With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? Sort of - I started too on ScentBase, but I'm sporadic about updating my stash and haven't finished adding all the stuff I had before I joined a couple decant circles of doom.   Do you like maple sugar candy? I adore it.   What is your position on the chocolate & bacon flavor combination? Uh . . . I'll try almost anything once?   If you are a tea-drinker do you need a tea-cozie for your pot? "Need" is a terribly strong word. Also, I'm a heathen - I just pour the water straight out of the kettle.   Go to your spice cabinet, what are the three most used spices? Coriander, oregano and cayenne pepper according to my husband, who does most of the cooking.   Microsoft or Apple? Eh. Microsoft, but only cos I'm used to it. I used to say Apple. But I really kind of hate both.   Where was your last vacation? What did you like most? Long weekend in Charlevoix, and it wasn't a particularly relaxing vacation - it was with my in-laws. So, probably watching my kids go horseback riding.   Would you appreciate receiving handwritten letters and/or postcards (anonymous or not)? How about sending them? Sure, on both counts! I love snail mail.   Do you hate any food things with a passion? Uh, no, not that I can think of.   Would you be opposed to receiving a digital version (via email) of a magazine you like but don't subscribe to...you know, in the interest of saving a tree? Though I eat it all sparingly because I have need of dental work and it hurts my caveties. =\   For tea drinkers, do you prefer loose leaf or tea bags? Loose leaf, but I don't turn my nose up at bags.   If you would enjoy something of a knitted persuasion, do you have a preference on type of thing? Since making a scarf for someone who has 10 might be a smidge excessive? Also, how do people feel about shawls? I love scarfs - lightweight ones in different colors would be awesome. Also socks. And I really want a pair of those convertible fingerless glove/mittens. I don't really do the shawl thing, though, alas!   Is there a TV, movie or literary character that you are a lot like, or would like to be like? I've been compared to Red the Fraggle most of my life. Other than that . . . I don't know. There are ones I identify with, but I wouldn't say I'm *like* them, and there are aspects of some that I would like to share, but no one I'd really want to be like. (A scent where even a tester would do) Honestly, I try not to pay attention to BPAL when I can't afford it, so I don't even know. Though, I have a decant of something called Intergalactic that is so very, very good that I'd love to find more of it but it's one of those ones that's impossible to find.   Let's say, hypothetically speaking, that you have some children/spawn (1 or more), and, hypothetically speaking, your witch would like to spoil them a little but knows nothing of kids these days. The elder two love books, temporary tattoos are awesome, pool toys (both are huge swimmers). The middle wants to be a cheerleader and claims to be a girly-girl, but is the first one to throw down in the dirt and whatever, while the oldest says she's a tomboy but really wants to be left alone in a corner to read and listen to music like she's fifteen. March 25   Are you interested in trying Super Villainess (from Villainess - the birthday scent that was just released tonight!) and if so, which item do you like the most? (Soap, Whipped, Smooch, Extrait, Smack...) Smacks and smooches both sound very interesting, indeed. And Whipped, I'm guessing, would be amazing. Barring that, oils are always good, particularly in decant form!   If I were to order you a Smack, which four notes would you like? I . . . don't see a list. But! Fruity (apple/pear, citrus, peach/apricot) is good. Leather is good. Cinnamon is good.   Would you enjoy receiving a knitted gift from your witch? They make awesome hair stuff, natural deoderant, and home fragrance (and a ton of other stuff, those are just my favs)? I googled this just to find out! Oils starring my favorite notes are always good. I'd love to try natural deoderant, but I need a strong anti-perspirant too - I sweat like crazy. It's seriously gross in the summer. Home fragrance, anything clean and light would do (and that applies to anything, not just this particular brand/company) - I like fresh mown grass and laundry on the line. That kind of stuff. As far as my hair goes, I'll try anything once; it's temperamental and picky, though, so sample sizes are best.   March 16   For those who like lipgloss, lipstick, tinted balms, etc, what colors do you wear (and warm? cool?) and do you prefer something sheer or more opaque? How do you feel about shimmer? I don't usually wear anything other than in the winter, when my lips get unbearably dry. But I favor MAC-type lip glosses, more on the sheer end. Shimmer is cool!   Are there any fancy/gourmet/special herbs or spices that you'd love to receive? ie: good quality vanilla or other extracts, vanilla beans, saffron, lavender, etc. Mmm, vanilla beans, saffron and lavender all sound fantastic.   What's your favorite animal? Or is there one that's particularly significant to you? As pets, I like dogs, frogs and turtles. To see at the zoo, peguins and polar bears, giraffes, and the butterfly house is one of my favorite places to be. September 8th   From the Weenie Update....what are you most wanting to try? Anything apple, really - those are the ones I'm dying for. There are a few others that sounded interesting, but apples win.   Who's into nail polish? What colors/brands? Me, me! I like all colors, but funkier is better - I saw this really cool mirrored chrome one on tumblr once that I'd love to have. Brand-wise, I know OPI the best but I've also recently discovered London Butter, Zoya and Essie. There are some of the BPTP claw polishes I'd really like to try, too.   Is there a quote (or lyric or part of a poem) that really resonates with you or is your favorite? Oh, goodness. I used to hold entire conversations in quotes and lyrics when I was in high school and not long out of it - so yeah, there've been tons. Right this minute, though, I don't know.   Dream candle? Winter Swap Questions

November 8th   Do you prefer dark or milk chocolate? Milk, generally, though the occasional dark chocolate with strawberry or white chocolate is great, too. Though I don't like white chocolate at all unless it's mixed with one of the others, and even then only occasionally. Or if it's Hershey's Hugs or similar.     November 7th   What are your opinions on traditional holiday cookie flavorings? I'm thinking anise and cardamom in particular. I'm not usually a huge fan of licorice-y things, and that's what anise is, isn't it? But I'd still love to try something new. (I make things like pfeffernusse if I'm feeling particularly traditional - German and Dutch ancestry ftw.)   Do you like artisan oils and vinegars? Oh, yes. Particularly if the vinegars are basalmic based, but I make a lot of salad dressings and glazes and marinades and dipping sauces, etc, so that kind of thing is always awesome to have around.   Bunny, could you use a 2012 calendar, and, if so, do you like big monthly ones or the page-a-day type? I . . . actually really like calendars of all sorts, though I'm terrible at keeping up with them. I'm trying hard to keep organized on my google calendar and between my two older kids' activities and my husband, it's next to impossible to keep up. But! I love the pictures, etc. So, you know. I waffle and usually don't buy one until January if at all.   November 6th   Charity gifts? Either fair-trade type stuff, or virtual type gifts, like vaccinations or school supplies being bought on your behalf, or something along those lines? Yes! Kiva and Kickstarter are favorites. I'm still kicking myself for not getting the storytelling dice.   Bunny, are you interested in tarts from Two Timing Tart? What scents, if any, are you interested in? A lot of these sound interesting, and a lot sound migraine-inducingly foodie/sweet. Fruit is always a good thing. Leather, spice, similar. Undernotes of vanilla or sugar or that sort of thing are alright, but I do too much baking, I guess, to want it artificially. Also, I'd need a tart burner if I were to melt tarts.   Do you need any holiday recipies? Is there something in particular that you'd like baked or made for you? And for those of you doing the no sugar/low sugar, etc. thing these days, how about savory things? Recipes, always! Particularly for cookies - anything baked, really, but cookies are my favorite thing to make. I'm dieing for a good sugar cookie recipe; they're always such a pain. I also love savory things, for the record. I don't even know what these candles are, though now I'll have to check.   Does anyone have issues with gently used things like books, etc.? Not at all, so long as it isn't clothes.   Are you a big ol' nerd for any particular subject? Science, math, linguistics, etc? Or particular authors/fandoms? History, particularly medieval/renaissance (Ireland/British Isles in the case of the former, Germany and the Netherlands in the case of the latter or early to mid-20th century. The English language. Doctor Who, Harry Potter. Steampunk/post apocalypse, but the people who try to be all Really Really In Period about it drive me nuts. Music of most sorts.   Bunnies, how do you feel about lemon-flavored items, like lemon marmalade, lemon curd, lemon pound cake, or lemon cookies? It depends on how cold the winter gets as far as full mitts go, but it's always cold here at my computer from, like, October/November through April/May. The movies I associate most with the holidays are Annie and Sound of Music, oddly - I have the former but not the latter. Blurays would be good, as I think we're getting a PS3 for Christmas. Also, the classics - A Christmas Story, It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, etc. Older versions are almost invariably better than remakes, but I like both.   How do you feel about superheros? Are you a Marvel or DC fan? Do you have a favorite hero? I . . . am largely indifferent here. Though I do have a fondness for Batman.   Would my bunny like anything in particular from Lush? I do have access to an actual Lush store, and also wouldn't mind ordering retro items online. I'd really like Catherynne Valente's The Folded World, but other than that I can't think of anything I'm really dieing for.   If you like Christmas music (or any other holiday music, for that matter), what kind of style do you like? Traditional? Modern and poppy? Indie? Yes to all of the above, though my really love is the true carols. The older the better! Wassail songs, high mass, etc.   Do you enjoy things that taste like roses? For example chewing gum, turkish delight, delicious goo that you eat by the spoonful out of a glass jar (and they all taste of rose. Yes, we have all these in Greece.) I've never had Turkish delight and am not a chewing gum fan, but I have had rose jellies/jams, teas, wines, cordials, etc and enjoyed them all.   Also, same question about mastic. Would you be interested in trying it out? (If yes, any preferences? for example you wold prefer to try the chewing gum, the turkish delight, an Easter bun (I can go hunting, some companies make them all year round although it's not the same as the bakery Easter ones ), the raw resin itself, anything?) I am intrigued!   i live in the city of the chicken wing. if i were to send you something savory, what's your heat tolerance (or sweet and heat for that matter). I like up to high-medium by most definitions of the word, my kids like mild to low-medium, my husband likes melt-your-face. So, anything like that would see use in my house!   If your fox/bunny were to gift you with a giftcard from anywhere, as in any store foodwise, music wise etc. what giftcard would you like? Solstice Night necklaces are gorgeous, as are Holly and Snow Queens and Snowberry and the Nutcracker/Snowflake ones. I haven't looked further, but if there are earrings to match any of those! A set would be awesome.   October 30   Dear Snow Bunnies: Do you do a Christmas tree? If yes is it themed or specially colored or do you just have all different ornaments and such? We do mostly musical instruments or related things so it's mostly silver and gold/bronze, but we have lots of colored stuff, too. Baking spices in general.   Do you like knitted goods? If so, what would you like, what colors, and do you have any sensitivites or preference when it comes to type of yarn (ex: wool: yay or nay? do you prefer machine washable materials? do you not care?)? I prefer natural fibers as much as possible, though wool does make me terribly itchy if it's 100%. Jewel or earth tones are win. Arm warmers/sleeves/fingerless gloves would be excellent.   hey swap partner...could you use a new mug? Always! I like the giant ones, especially if they're souvenir-ish (but still useable, of course!) - from cool places, with cool sayings or art on them, etc. I also like different shapes; my favorites are probably the tall ones that are wider at the top and taper towards the bottom.   Is there any sort of regional food/drink/treat you miss or have always wanted to try?
