Dear witch....I did edit this earlier today and for some reason....sigh...it didn't show up. I'm having such an annoying day that even answering SW questions isn't cheering me (well, answering questions would, but technical problems does not) so I'm going to do my best with these, but I likely have missed some, or rather answered them earlier, and then lost said entries. And I'm having a hell of a time with the formatting. As in it wasn't all bolded when I looked last. Hrrmph!)

How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff?

I love pens and ALWAYS need more....and gel pens or sharpies in cool colors rock my world, but don't really use stationary, and I do have a lot of random paper around as my husband is a pressman and brings back bits and bobs of paper. However, we can seem to never find notepads or sticky notes, so those are often useful. Anything would be fine, but I probably go more cute (in probably only this one case!)

If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Yes! I prefer partial bottles in fact, as I have never used a full bottle.

Would you like something you have to make yourself? Like a kit? I would be into this!

Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? I would LOVE this! I'm happy either way, I mean, but it would be extra special and cool if you made it!

Who is your favorite soap etailer? I like Scent Addict and Soap Box company because they have a whole lot of soaps. The one I've been wanting to try most is Paintbox Soaps, and also the soaps made by our own Galahad (I can't remember the name now, but they are probably linked in his profile or sig?) But the ones I've tried that I love are Arcana and Magic Hands.

What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc etc? Hmmm....might like it, depends on what it is. I don't collect anything like this, though.

With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? Do you have a preference? entirely up to my dear witch!

What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? I don't really wear much make up. I like eyeshadow, but never wear it

Who would be on your top 5 (IE famous people you'd date/have relations with ) hmmm.....It's not like I don't have celebrity crushes or lust after the unattainable, it's just that right now I'm drawing a blank.

Do you crave many Ecards and contact or are you okay with little contact from your Witch? I think I answered this in the thread and on my ?naire, but I do like to have a lot of contact....

Do you have a place where you list all the BPAL you have or have tried? Scentbase profile, linked in my sig, though it only has a portion of what I've tried.

Do you like maple sugar candy? I like it, but it's not my absolute fave.

What is your position on the chocolate & bacon flavor combination? One of my former swappers gave me some, and it was pretty good. Not to die for, but worth trying for sure. I like wild and out there combs for chocolate.

If you are a tea-drinker do you need a tea-cozie for your pot? Probably not. I don't use my pot often enough for it to get cold (and it's a small pot)

Go to your spice cabinet, what are the three most used spices? good question! The sea salt with dried garlic grinder, black and the red (which is a black pepper/red pepper combo) and either lemon pepper (no salt) or the trinidad seasoning (garlic, lemon, salt, allspice, red pepper with some other spices). Or one of my various Tabascos. Or dried chipotle pepper.

Microsoft or Apple? Mac all the way!!!!

Where was your last vacation? What did you like most? I haven't been on a real vacation for years. Last time I took a real trip it was to Haiti, almost 3 years ago. What I liked the most is what I always like: people watching, seeing new places, trying new foods.

Would you appreciate receiving handwritten letters and/or postcards (anonymous or not)? How about sending them? Sure!

Do you hate any food things with a passion?? Yep. Beets. Endive. Licorice. Liver. celery.

Would you be opposed to receiving a digital version (via email) of a magazine you like but don't subscribe to...you know, in the interest of saving a tree? Sure, that would be cool, though I do prefer reading things in hard copy....I like to read in the bathtub

Would you enjoy homemade bath products (bath salts, fizzies, etc.) and/or linen sprays? Esp. if scented with some of your favorite BPAL scents? My question, but yes!

If you witch made you something and it didn't come out just right, would you still want it?

same as above....yes! I'd still love it, esp. if you regaled me with the story of what you intended!

Are you a foodie? I think so....meaning I'm only a competent cook, but I love food, and appreciate well-prepared food and interesting combos, and like to read food mags (though I don't subscribe to any) and watch Top Chef, etc!

Any sports fans in the house? What's your favorite sport/team/player? Not really

For holidays, do you decorate? Would you like decorative stuff, weenie or otherwise? If so, do you lean towards the elegant, the crafty/folksy, or the more, erm, campy? I don't decorate much, but I do like halloween/dia de los muertos stuff esp if I can use it on my holiday altars.

Do you like journals/notebooks/sketchbooks? I do like some fancy ones, but honestly, I pretty much do all my journaling online in macjournal.

Some things I missed:

Favorite Halloween/Scary movies/books i'm wimpy, and don't watch many scary movies because gore and violence freaks me out in movies.....it just gets stuck in my head, and I can't deal. But atmospheric scary movies work (like Rosemary's Baby, or stuff like that), and even though they are graphically violent, I do like zombie movies. I do like scary novels though. Peter Straub's Ghost Story is my favorite horror book, but I also like The Shining and others.

COMIC BOOKS. Do you read them? Are there any series you like, or some you would like to try? I want the zombie comic books--there are two series, one of which is written by a forumite! I love Neil Gaiman's stuff. I'm really into graphic novels/graphic memoir like Alison Bechdal's Fun Home.

Are you into Austen's books? Wow, I'm an English professor and just realized I've never read Jane Austen. How can that be, you ask? My literary field was 20th century American lit. Still, I should read her, yes?

Do you read Tarot cards? If not, would you be interested? I LOVE tarot cards and anything Tarot related. These are the decks I have: Voodoo Tarot of New Orleans (my main deck), World Spirit Tarot, Animal Divine Tarot, Golden Tarot, a standard Rider Waite deck, and the Alchemy Tarot, but there are plenty of others I would love. Really, almost any. I didn't mean to become a collector of Tarot decks, but I kind of am.

So for those of you who are into Harry Potter at all, which house do you think you'd be sorted into?

I only read one of the books. People have told me I would like them if I read the ones where he is older, like the Halfblood prince (is that the name?) but I don't know. I could be convinced if I got the book, I guess.

What, if anything, is your guilty TV watching pleasure? I don't watch much TV. I used to like Top Chef and Project Runway, and the guilty pleasure was America's Next Top Model, but basically I just don't watch much TV.

 

If you cosplay or need a costume for your bellydance/burlesque hobby (or any other hobby which needs dressup/different from your normal wear), is there anything you need/want for it? I wish I had something like this, but I have no cosplay or anything like that.

Celebrity crush?: Johnny Depp, of course. George Clooney.

Knitted things?: LOVE!

What about [mixed or otherwise] DVDs? I love mixed CDs/DVDs/mp3 music mixes. But I really love music mixes in CD formula because I listen to music a lot in the car, and have a very old CD player than can't play MP3 cds.

Do you like scented tarts? Yep!!

Lip balms? You know, I pretty much just use Rosebud Salve, but if it was moisturizing with no sun screen, I'd try it!

Do you have any body mods? If so, do you need any new jewelry, o-rings, plugs, etc (and if so, what size, length, etc)? Do you like pro-body mod stickers? tats and pierced ears, that's all. I hardly wear earrings anymore.

Booze. Do you drink it, would you like some Yes, I drink! I like good hoppy beers, but will try almost any type of beer, but do not like Porters or real malty beers. I like good, dry wine(And an occasional dessert wine) and adore sparkling wines. I would like try to mead. I like ciders. I like good rum, which for me is almost only Haitian so that's probably not useful info.

What is your favorite artist or art style? (including if you have links to favorite pictures/paintings/photographs) I like folk art, and I think I answered this in my questionnaire....

 

Girlyness level? Medium. Tomboy? Sexy biker mama? (Did I just say that?) I wear jeans and ts and leather and boots and some make up, but not regularly.

Baked goods: the LOVE! Spoil me all you want with those!

Gifts for other household members: Ok, but not needed. My dogs would enjoy toys, but they have a lot, and since they are destructive, if you choose to do this, it should be something cheap. They are on a grain-free diet, too. My husband doesn't need anything and even I find him hard to buy for so, I'd say no.

Are you someone who'd rather have lots of small testers of different things on your wishlist, or would you rather have one or two "big" things? Testers of rares would would be wonderful. I'll be happy with anything. But I do prefer partial bottles to imps, rare stuff aside.

How about tshirt/bottoms sizes? I wear an xl or xxl in BPTP shirts. Probably an xl but I don't mind the looseness of the bigger size. Bottoms depend. I tend to get xl, but I am a size 12-14 so it depends.

Socks? Anyone? Yes! Socks are good, and I need something to fit under boots that don't have holes in them!

What is something you use to comfort yourself when feeling yucky, depressed, or in pain? Have a good beer and take a bath, with bubbles!

When you go to an etsy wishlist, it will tell you what things are sold. If you click on the sold item, sometimes it will give options that are similar to what was sold, but not identical, would you like the similar item or prefer not to get it at all unless it's the same item? How picky are you? Not picky. I leave this stuff up so people can get an idea of what I like, but also so I can see it, because often I'm looking at jewelry and thinking, can I make that? So it is just ideas, that's all!

Do you wear make up? I occasionally wear makeup--eye shadow and lipstick. I love to play with it. I don't really wear it much though. I do paint my toenails, though!

Disney movies, Yay or Nay, and favourites if you do like them? NO!

Do you have A VCR, DVD Player or Blue Ray or a combo of the three? DVD

Would you like custom icons as a gift? Oh, that would be very cool!

What is your favourite snack food, something you could grab any time? cheese, nuts (trail mix), yogurt (when I'm trying to be healthy) but there are plenty of things I love (some listed in my questionnaire) that are not so healthy. I like pita chips in particular for salt. I like dried veggies and spicy snack mixes.

Ebooks Sadly, I have no way to read them.

Nail Polish: Yes, I always have toe nail polish on.

Soft/plushy things: I do like some of the things from think geek, and I often think plushies are cute, but I have to admit I'd have to keep them away from the dogs, who also love them. But are considerably harder on them! (So it wold probably have to be small enough to be kept up).

What hobby/craft would you like to learn how to do? I think this is covered in my questionnaire and in my SW help thread.

For those who decorate for Halloween, do you prefer cute decorations or creepy ones?:

Also, as part of the cute-or-creepy question, would you want hand made, molded, glazed (by yours truly!) ceramic decorations (napkin rings, potporri/tart warmers, etc) to add to your stock?

Creepy! Some cute stuff is cool too, though I definately go more for the creepy! And handmade anything is wildy cool! I'd be so happy to get these kinds of things! (probably wouldn't use napkin rings, though).

I have been wanting one forever! I never buy one, but always mean to!

Is there anything you have a phobia of, or that would make you go "squick" if you saw it in a package? Well, clearly fake spiders are ok, but I don't really like them, and same with cockroaches. Ick. And eyeballs. (All halloween related stuff, obviously).
