Did you forget anything fun/interesting or find something new and exciting?

I’m a fan of American Girl dolls. I have Samantha who has been archived, and I’m hoping to get Felicity before they archive her. I would love to go to an American Girl store in the future. When I was younger, I also loved the Magic Attic Club books, and really wanted the Heather doll; sadly I just found out that the dolls are no longer in production since 2004. I would still love to get my hands on the books though, especially all of Heather’s books.

 

Is there one scent that is your goto for comfort on a bad stressful day? Like the perfume equivilent of a security blankie? I don’t have a go-to comfort scent.

 

What are you going to be for Halloween? I’m assuming I’m working that night, but if I wasn’t, I still wouldn’t be anything; Halloween is not a big holiday in my family although I think it’s a lot of fun.

 

Is there something just super random you like/enjoy/want/are ogling that has not been and will not be covered by any other questions, because it's just that WEIRD? I can’t think of anything at the top of my head, except that maybe American Girl/Magic Attic Club may fit this.

 

 

Would you like to receive international magazines, even if you don't speak the language it's written in, just to ogle the pictures or for the novelty of it? If yes, what kind of magazines, or what magazines in particular? I would love international magazine, especially asian (mostly japanese). Probably music (japanese only), makeup/nail, maybe some crafting centric ones (knitting and beading).

What kind of shoes do you need/want? What size shoes do you wear? Would you mind gently used shoes? Right now, what I really need is better shoes for work – I’m on my feet almost the entire time except for breaks, and now whenever I get up after not walking, it my feet hurt those first few steps. So I’m going to save money and get a pair of shoes that my mom has suggested. I also don’t mind gently used shoes – my favorite pair of boots is from a thrift store. But I really love looking at shoes from online stores. I’m a 9.5/10, depending on the style. Some wants right now: these and some I've seen at JC Penny.

 

Do you like paper dolls (new or vintage) or coloring in books? I loved paper dolls when I was a kid. And I probably wouldn’t turn down a coloring book either.

 

Do you like weird scary things as traditionally girly fashion items like heels and handbags? Depends on the weird scary – but some of that stuff is pretty awesome.

Would you (assumin' you're a yarnie) be interested in a naturally-dyed yarn that's designed to very gradually fade with washing? That would be really interesting.

 

If you have played before, what are some of the most memorable things you've gotten? What really made you go WOW? If you haven't played, same thing, but not limited to SW. Well, my first round (this is my second), my favorite thing was a messenger bag that had the saying ‘Are you my mummy?’. I love that bag – it was my go to bag for school for quite a while – I even had someone come up to me asking me about because she was a Doctor Who fan.

 

Do you like garlic? Do you REALLY like garlic? Would you want to try some really unusual garlic stuff, like garlic cheese or garlic fudge or garlic chocolate, etc., etc., etc.? Garlic is good. Garlic cheese sounds like something I would try (and probably the only unusual stuff I would try) – sounds like it would be great melted on bread.

 

Can I talk to you about the living dead? How do you feel about Zombies? Love them. I’m a fan of the Resident Evil movies and I’m dying to play the games (know a whole lot about them, but haven’t played any). I just recently saw RE4, and while a good movie, it needed more zombies. Zombieland was a really good movie too. And I would argue that 28 Days Later (a really good movie) is not a zombie movie (because the people are still alive, just crazy). I think being killed by a zombie would be the worst out of any horror creature.

 

Do you read/like fantasy? What kind of books or authors do you love? Which one would you like to read? Would you like gifts related to it? I love fantasy. It might be my favorite genre. I love David Eddings, Piers Anthony, Robert Jordan, Jim Butcher, Simon R. Greene. Fantasy related gifts would be awesome. I find it hard to find new fantasy (my dad introduced me to all my favorite fantasy/scifi authors/series) – partly because most of the covers look like romance covers or they look the same. So suggestions are very welcomed – I’m getting back into reading because when I was in college, I didn’t get to do a lot of leisure reading since I was reading all the time for classes.

 

Soaps : do you like them? What brands? What scents? Anything you're dying to try?

I love soap; it’s the one product I’m always using. Villainess is my go to brand but I also like Basin White (found this brand at Disney World). I’ve been curious about LUSH (there is a store at my local mall, but I’ve never gone into it). Savor, Valhalla Soap Company, and Beguile are the companies I’m most interested in trying right now.

 

Who likes hair toys, and if so what kind? My hair is fine, so hair toys don’t really stay in easily. I haven’t used anything in a while but the one hair toy I used the most in the past were hair sticks/chopsticks. I would really like to try out some combs and fascinators and have seen some awesome ones on etsy.

 

 

 

Are you happiest calling for delivery or microwaving a lean cuisine, Or will Food Network be asking you to host their new program? I love eating out, but a good home cooked meal is awesome too. Some of my favorite meals are cooked at home.

If you are someone who doesn't want baked goods sent, would you like a collection of some of my favorite recipes? I’d love new recipes - both baked goods and actually meal type ones. I’m looking for some good Asian food recipes – specifically noodle and meat dishes. I’m also looking for some good soup recipes – my favorite soup is egg drop soup (and I’m kind of picky – every chinese restaurant I go seems to do it differently so some are better than others).

 

How about home made mixes or kits? Kind of like the cookie in a jar thing, where you would need to add the perishable ingredients? Would be fine.

 

if you are a tea lover, what are your flavor preferences? Green? Black? Herbal (I know, technically those are NOT teas, but tisanes)? Flavored blacks/greens? Haven’t tried enough to have a preference. I’ve tried flavored blacks the most though. I also tend to not add milk or sugar to my tea.

 

How do you feek about silly, funny knick-knack, dollar store stuff, stickers, magnets etc? Would you like receiving that kind of stuff or rather not?

 

Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to? Will get back to this question because I know there are some but can't think of them right now

 

Do you read mangas/watch animes? Which ones? Do you have a particular favourite? Would you like to receive managas or anything related to them? I have trouble sometimes keeping track of series that I’m interested in. I love Cowboy Bebop, but have never been able to finish the series, and Miyazaki films are great (Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke are my favorites). CLAMP is one of my favorite manga-ka. I really like the series Kuroshitsuji, and have seen the entire first season, but am so behind on the manga (and now that One Manga no longer archives scanlations, I’m going to have to wait for the actual books). I would love to receive manga/related items. I actually have not bought any manga for myself in years and I’m very behind on some series. I’ll update later with a list of series that I’d like to expand my collection.

 

Are you open to receiving things that are not on your wishlist, maybe something your Witch thinks you might like? That would be fine; actually, it would be a lot of fun to see what my Witch thought of to get me based on my tastes

If you could have any costume, or if you aren't into costumes, necklace or other accessory, from any movie character, what would it be? I remember when seeing the 2004 Phantom of the Opera and loving the jewelry in it and loved that it was Swarovski. I adore Swarovski – I’ve loved it since I was a kid and can’t remember where I found out about the company.

 

How do you feel about samples/decants of things other than BPAL? Soap slices, lotion/scrub/shower gel decants, single use make-up/beauty products, etc. – I love samples/decants;

 

What are you guys going to be aiming for in the Inquisition? Or do you just plan on ordering individual items? I’m going to order the soaps, but I think I’d like to get decants of the oils before making a decision.

 

Chocolate or other types of candy? I'm not big into chocolate candy; if I do eat chocolate candy/bars, I go for dark because it's not as sweet. I prefer Twizzlers, banana Laffy Taffy (and salt water taffy in general), SweeTarts, Gobstoppers and some others.

 

For tea drinkers, do you prefer loose leaf or tea bags? While tea bags are easier, I really enjoy loose leaf. I do need a nice infuser or a strainer (prefered), though.

 

If you would enjoy something of a knitted persuasion, do you have a preference on type of thing? Since making a scarf for someone who has 10 might be a smidge excessive? Also, how do people feel about shawls? I have never owned a shawl, but a shawl would be great in the cooler months to wear around the house, lounging, or if I have to run out of the house for a minute or two.

What is a bpal scent that you've been dying to try for awhile but just can't find? (A scent where even a tester would do)

 

Let's say, hypothetically speaking, that you have some children/spawn (1 or more), and, hypothetically speaking, your witch would like to spoil them a little but knows nothing of kids these days. What do they like or dislike? Also is there anything a (sane) adult might think they would like that you don't think is appropriate for whatever reason? What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? Recently, I tend to go for natural eyes (I use Too Faced Natural Eye Neutral Eye Shadow Collection); trying to practice eye makeup application. I do have a stash of mineral eye shadow that range from neutral to bold and dark. I love lipgloss and I’m trying to get some nice lipstick (especially a nice red). I prefer a darker or bolder lip – opaque (preferred) or sheer. I do not mind sticky lip gloss.

 

I would love to try Sugarpill cosmectics. I follow the creators blog and the make up looks like a lot of fun. Not sure I can pull of the colors right now, maybe when I get better at applying make up, but it’ll be fun to play around.

Where was your last vacation? What did you like most? Disney World, this past December – I was sooo happy to go because it was the first vacation in almost two years, and we went the day after winter quarter ended so I could really relax. What I liked most? Probably the food – we plan out our Disney trips months up to a year in advance (which park to go to what day, which restaurants, and so on). We stayed at the Polynesian, concierge level and I love the food they put out for dinner (my favorite would have to be the pulled pork – so good). But maybe my favorite is when we go to The Rose & Crown Pub, are able to get a table on the patio, and get a fantastic view of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, an amazing fireworks, lazer, and water show (we got to sit at the same table we had the last time we were there). During the holidays, they also have an add-on to the show orchestrated to the song Let There Be Peace On Earth (which is my favorite part of the show). I also love watching the firework show Wishes – you have a fantastic view of the show if you sit out on the beach at the Poly.

 

Would you appreciate receiving handwritten letters and/or postcards (anonymous or not)? I love getting letters/postcards (or real mail as I call them)

 

How about sending them? Love writing letters, but I’ve fallen behind on getting letters out (procrastination and being too tired after work)

Scent-wise: kinda – I tend to hunt for reviews on foodie scents first, but I’m trying to expand my note

Eating-wise: I love watching shows on Food Network, Travel Channel, and the Cooking Channel – I don’t really watch actually cooking shows (I do like Alton Brown’s Good Eats show – funny, science-y, and has some good recipes). Probably the only reason I would go to New York is for food – I’ve watched shows that feature amazing places with amazing food and half of them seem to be in New York. However, I can be rather picky but I'm willing to try things at least once.

 

Any sports fans in the house? What's your favorite sport/team/player? Not really, but I was watching tennis today (and it’s a sport I like to play). My sister is a figure skater and we tend to watch of ice skating because of that (I’m not that big into the skating world, but I have my favorite skaters)

 

For holidays, do you decorate? Would you like decorative stuff, weenie or otherwise? If so, do you lean towards the elegant, the crafty/folksy, or the more, erm, campy? I mostly just decorate for Christmas, though I would love to decorate for Halloween, so decorative stuff would be awesome. I lean toward elegant and crafty/folksy but some campy would be funny

 

Do you like journals/notebooks/sketchbooks? I love journals/notebooks - I don't keep a diary per se, but I love having books of paper. They all eventually have a purpose.

 

Cake truffles? If YES! Cake/icing/chocolate type? Those look interesting. I'd say chocolate or vanilla cake, not to sure about frosting as I'm not the biggest frosting fan (probably vanilla or cream cheese), dark chocolate.

Vampire shows, literature, etc? Yay or nay? Yay, though I can be picky. I was into Anita Blake for awhile but when the sex became more prominent I stopped (smut is great and all, but I prefer the story over it). I was never really interested in the Southern Vampire series (what True Blood is based off of). 30 Days of Night was an awesome movie (and I’d be interested in reading the comic). I can’t stand Twilight – I loathe it with a passion, but it’s absolutely hilarious to make fun of. Up at my apartment when I went to college, there was a poster of Bella and Edward which we decorated – covered it in stickers (Disney Princess and Lisa Frank), markers, and nail polish. I’d love to read Beth’s book, but I don’t think I would buy it myself.

 

If you play console video games, what game systems do you have and what games would you love to have? We have two systems: a Wii (my sister’s) and a PS2 (belongs to my 2nd sister), though everyone plays on them. I have a DS (see wishlist for games wanted). I plan on saving up to buy a Xbox in the future, and I really want Assassin’s Creed (especially Assassin’s Creed II – I saw the promotional film they did and loved it. I feel that I have to play the first game before I play the second one though)

 

How do you all feel about flowers and plants? Flower and plant seeds? Drawings of flowers or plants? Pressed flowers? I love flower/plants. I was in horticulture my last two years of high school and loved it. I’m debating on whether to take classes from the Floral Design Institute.

For a real animal, I love wolves and I think wolf hybrids are pretty awesome. I actually saw a hybrid in real life - a puppy - sitting calmly on a couch with it's owener at a hotel during a convention.

 

Comfort Rereads?: The Incarnations of Immortality is a favorite series that I like to reread. I haven't read the latest one (Under A Velvet Cloak), but reading a summary and peaking at the book itself, I don't think I want to; I didn't realize that he had written a final book until I saw it while I was working at the library.

 

Will you be going out of town during the round, or is there any other time during the round when it would not be ideal for you to receive a package from your witch? I will be gone the very beginning of November to DISNEYLAND!

Steampunk, yay or nay? If yay, what part appeals most? Total yay. I listen to The Clockwork Cabaret on a regular basis. I think that maybe the most appealing part is all the possibilities that can stem from the idea of more advance technology available ealier in time/history (and the aesthetic is awesome). If I remember correctly, my love for steampunk first comes from when I saw the tv series The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne. I loved that series - wish it would come out on DVD.

I've seen the original Japanese versions of the Grudge (haven't seen the american remake and probably never will) and me and my friend who watched it with me had to go to Denny's afterwards - it was really freaky (but good). I think Japanese/Asian horror is so much better than today's American horror (too much gore in American horror these days) and it's very annoying that the majority of horror movies being made are remakes (I always try to see the original first - they tend to be so much better than the remake). I also put on Resident Evil as background noise when doing a sewing project or studying (I'm going to see the upcoming one in theaters but I'm not too sure about it).

Favorite Classic: I love The Wolfman with Lon Chaney Jr. (I can't bring myself to see the remake - though I believe the story line is completely different, I still can't bring myself to watch it), Dracula with Bela Lugosi. I'm sad that they don't play the classics anymore during Halloween - they're too busy showing the slasher films; and because they don't show them I haven't seen them in a few years. I also like the classic Frankenstein and The Mummy with Boris Karloff.

Halloween themed: I still love the first Halloweentown and Under Wraps - I make sure to check when Disney is going to play them (though I really want a DVD of Under Wraps - that movie is just too awesome). Hocus Pocus is a lot of fun

COMIC BOOKS. Do you read them? Are there any series you like, or some you would like to try? I tend to read manga more than ‘traditional’ comics. I’m more of a Marvel girl over DC (but I still like DC).

 

When you go to an etsy wishlist, it will tell you what things are sold. If you click on the sold item, sometimes it will give options that are similar to what was sold, but not identical, would you like the similar item or prefer not to get it at all unless it's the same item? How picky are you? A similar item would be fine. I think the wishlist/favorites list gives an idea of what a person likes/prefer, so if the item inclines towards that, it’s good.

 

Do you wear make up? I love makeup, and want to improve my application, but I not wear it a lot, mostly because there isn’t many opportunities (I work with animals so I don’t see a point in wearing makeup at work). The minimum I wear usually is mascara and lip gloss or lipstick (or both). I’m still looking for a good foundation – I’m very pale so I look at the small business mineral make up companies.

 

Disney movies, Yay or Nay, and favourites if you do like them? Total yes. Major Disney fan. It’s hard to say what my favorites are, but I do love Sleeping Beauty (Maleficient is my favorite villain) and Emperors New Groove. Used to have a copy of The Great Mouse Detective which somehow got donated/rid of, as did the copy of Hunchback of Notre Dame.

 

Do you have A VCR, DVD Player or Blue Ray or a combo of the three? VCR and DVD. I plan on saving money to buy a region-free DVD player in the future.

 

Would you like custom icons as a gift? I think that would be neat.

 

What is your favourite snack food, something you could grab any time? Powdered donuts

 

Ebooks: Nope, the real thing for me

 

Nail Polish: Yep; change the color 2-3 times week (or try to). Right now, the nails on my right hand are peeling which is making me extremely sad (probably do to washing my hands so much or in water in general so much due to work).

 

Soft/plushy things: Plushies, stuffed animals, knitted things are great. I also love amigurumi - once I relearn crochet, I'm hoping to buy a bunch of amigurumi books from Kinokuniya

 

What hobby/craft would you like to learn how to do? I really want to learn how to drop spin (I really love the spindles from butterfly girl designs)

 

For those who decorate for Halloween, do you prefer cute decorations or creepy ones?: I adore cute, but creepy is fun too (and creepy cute stuff is great). I also like pretty/elegant.

 

Also, as part of the cute-or-creepy question, would you want hand made, molded, glazed (by yours truly!) ceramic decorations (napkin rings, potporri/tart warmers, etc) to add to your stock? That would be really cool

 

how do you feel about mortars and pestles: Have no use for one, but I think it would be fun to have (and hey, you never know when you might need one).

Do you read Tarot cards? If not, would you be interested? No I don’t, but I think tarot cards are interesting, and think it would be fun to learn more about them. Astrology, though, has always been fascinated me and I’ve been wanting to get a full analysis that requires the date, time, and location of when you were born.

 

So for those of you who are into Harry Potter at all, which house do you think you'd be sorted into? Not completely into it (I faded out of the fandom a while ago - though not completely). I took a couple different quizzes and I'm Ravenclaw - which I thought I was. Though some people I know think I'm Slytherin.

 

What, if anything, is your guilty TV watching pleasure? I don't think I have any - although weekend b-horror movies on SciFi (SyFy) could count.

 

If you cosplay or need a costume for your bellydance/burlesque hobby (or any other hobby which needs dressup/different from your normal wear), is there anything you need/want for it?

I have a list of future cosplay. Some of them are: Chii (Chobits), Odette (The Swan Princess), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Umi Ryuuzaki (Magic Knight Rayearth). I also hope to do an interpretation of the three dresses in the story Allerleirauh. Wigs would be awesome, as would accessories (like persocom ears for Chii).

Booze. Do you drink it, would you like some: Yup; I love the margaritas I get at this fantastic Mexican restaurant I go to. I actually haven’t tried that many drinks, so when I do get a drink (usually at a restauant), I try to make sure to get something different. I’m hoping to take a class to become a license bartender in the future (offered at the local community college) because I think it would be fun.
