Do you read/like fantasy? What kind of books or authors do you love? Which one would you like to read? Would you like gifts related to it? I love Neil Gaiman, I am trying to collect all of his children's books (I have none yet). I'm a bit picky about my fantasy/sci fi. I play Dungeons and Dragons, but I find the themed books rather boring. I like it when real life characters are thrust into fantasy worlds and learn about themselves through their experiences. Some of the DnD books (and Game of Thrones, etc) are just really hard for me to relate to.

Soaps : do you like them? What brands? What scents? Anything you're dying to try? I like soap! I would love to try Paintbox soapworks, but honestly at this point I think I have enough soap!

Who likes hair toys, and if so what kind? Hair sticks!! Ketylos are my favorite, I prefer short sticks, around 5" in length and I usually prefer unadorned sticks crafted in real wood ( I love the different colors though, and one exception to the real wood only rule is Dymondwood!). So far I have one 5" Ketylo in rosewood, and one 5" Dymondwood in Charcoal. I'd love some dark blue and dark purple ones! (I think they are on etsy or ebay as well)

Does any art we may send need to be child safe, either in the actually safe sense or the non X rated sense? no kids!!

In the knitted/crocheted things area, would you want wrist warmers, 1/2 gloves, a neck warmer(the kind that pretty much just goes around your neck and maybe fastens instead of being long and loose like a scarf), slippers, or hats? I would love a pair of wrist warmers/fingerless gloves that are NOT bulky (are finely knit), all the rest I can either make myself or learn to make.

How do you feel about altered/recycled/upcycled items of clothing or accessories? sure!

Is there anything you want from the Violette Market update? I haven't gotten a chance to look honestly, but I do like Violette Market and would like to try anything foody or fruity.

What is your favourite habitat and climate to live in? How about to visit? (ie. forest, canyons, mountains, by the beach; temperate, tropical...) northern New England climate!!!

What do you wish you could make/craft if you had the know-how and supplies? Specifically, which particular items? I would love to learn how to spin yarn and make cold or hot process soap

Is there anything you would like from Conjure Oils general catalogue or the new updates that isn't already on your wishlist? I haven't really looked at that e-tailer

Am I alone in this, or is there a Book Fair/Comic Con scent you're dying to get your paws on, too? I'd love to try anything! I am so upset because I have to go to a wedding that very weekend. The same damn weekend that BPAL is finally coming to the Northern East Coast!!!!!!!! That's only 50 miles away from me! arg.

Anyone need address/phone type books? no thanks, I don't use those.

Are there any particular movies, tv shows or cd’s that you’ve been meaning to buy for years but just never got round to getting? Would you mind a gently used dvd/cd if your witch had it or could get it?? not really. I use Netflix for movies and I usually buy mp3's from itunes.

Is there anything from the Possets' Hallowe'en update you're lusting after? I have tried Possets, and really didn't like most of the scents I tried, so no thanks.

Would you like a custom/altered toy either from a seller or from your witch (like My Little Pony, or a Barbie or any particular toy that can be changed?) nah, that's okay. I have too much random stuff cluttering up my house.

Anne Taintor, anyone? I have no idea who that is sorry.

Which web comics do you enjoy? Suggest one to me!

If I were to knit a scarf, would you prefer a skinny one, or a wide one? A short one, that when wrapped once around your neck will just tuck under your jacket, or a long one, at least to your waist?

Don't like scarves? Would a rectangular shawl or triangular shawl be more to your taste? I can make my own scarves but a nice shawl would be nice. I feel like I already answered this question though.

How do you feel about recipes? I would love any low carb, low sodium recipes!

Are you happiest calling for delivery or microwaving a lean cuisine, Or will Food Network be asking you to host their new program? I make my own food usually.

If you are someone who doesn't want baked goods sent, would you like a collection of some of my favorite recipes? yes of course!

How about home made mixes or kits? Kind of like the cookie in a jar thing, where you would need to add the perishable ingredients? no thanks, I can't really eat things like that

if you are a tea lover, what are your flavor preferences? Green? Black? Herbal (I know, technically those are NOT teas, but tisanes)? Flavored blacks/greens? I really like fruity teas, Earl Grey and Vanilla Chai. Green tea is okay but I kind of have to be in the mood for it.

How do you feek about silly, funny knick-knack, dollar store stuff, stickers, magnets etc? Would you like receiving that kind of stuff or rather not? Sure! not too much though, because I have a small house inhabited by hoarders, and though I share the hoarding gene, I am able to resist it somehow so I really try to limit the clutter potential.

Is there a specific book you've been wanting to get but haven't found the time or the opportunity to? Can't really think of any right now. I am looking forward to the new Stephen King book but I have that on preorder (for November) check out my amazon wishlist!

Do you read mangas/watch animes? Which ones? Do you have a particular favourite? Would you like to receive mangas or anything related to them? Yes yes and yes!! I want more Chibi Vampire (#4), Pixie pop (#2) and Blood+ (any) manga. Most anime I don't buy because I can just watch it on Netflix.

Are you open to receiving things that are not on your wishlist, maybe something your Witch thinks you might like? of course!

OK, I know that lots of folks love socks. Do you have a preference of length? Materials? Patterns? I like knee high, not too thick and stripes in dark colors.

How do people feel about word magnets that could be cool for my new apartment next year!

For tea drinkers, do you prefer loose leaf or tea bags? honestly tea bags. I like loose leaf but its way too much hassle and I hate cleaning out the little metal tea diffuser.

If you would enjoy something of a knitted persuasion, do you have a preference on type of thing? Since making a scarf for someone who has 10 might be a smidge excessive? Also, how do people feel about shawls? I would love an old fashioned Victorian style shawl in a dark color! I am pretty set on scarves though, I make them myself and I have around 4 million. lol.

Is there anything you need for your kitchen, ie measuring cups, spoons, grater, ect? yes, all of the above! (as I said before, I am moving out with my boyfriend in 6 months or so.

Music, DO you prefer Live or Studio? Edited or explicit? I like both live and studio, and screw edited versions, they always suck.

If you are an animal lover, is there a specific type/breed that you love most? cats cats cats cats cats

Also flowers and plants- If you like flowers/plants, do you have a favorite(s)? I LOVE lilies. My boyfriend still doesn't know what lilies are so when he buys me flowers he always ends up trying to get me what HE thinks are lilies and they aren't.. lol. Yes I have shown him pictures of lilies all the time, even pointed them out in real life, but he still can't remember. I like roses to a lesser degree.

What is a bpal scent that you've been dying to try for awhile but just can't find? (A scent where even a tester would do) Blue Pumpkin Floss (the prototype, not the Halloweenie)

Let's say, hypothetically speaking, that you have some children/spawn (1 or more), and, hypothetically speaking, your witch would like to spoil them a little but knows nothing of kids these days. no kids, just cats

Is there anything you would like that can be delivered over the internet? Things like fanfic recs, cat macros, mp3s you are looking for, how-to or amusing videos, things like that sure! I can't really think of anything though, honestly.

NaNoWriMo? I don't know. I might try it. Its going to be crazy hectic this semester, but its always going to be crazy hectic in the Fall, and NaNoWriMo is always going to BE in the fall, so I might as well wing it.

what interests you from the latest lab update? Well, I am getting many of the scents in decants soon, but the ones I didn't sign up for in the decant circle that I am interested in trying are: Halloween: New Orleans, October 2010 (or 2009 for that matter), Wild Swans at Coole, Pomegranate III

How do you feel about stationery, like nice pens or notepaper? And if you're in favor, do you prefer classic/contemporary or cutesy stuff? I love all that stuff, and I can put it to good use as well! Anything cute, especially Japanese/Korean themed stuff, sanrio-like, or anything retro would be awesome. I love pens notebooks and notecards especially.

Would you like homemade preserves (e.g. marinated vegies, pickled onions, chilli jam?) Probably not, I can't have much sodium =(

If you've got stuff on your BPAL wishlist, would partial bottles be okay? Of course!!!

Would you like something you have to make yourself? Like assemble myself, or like a craft kit? sure, I love putting things together!

Say you were my witchee, and I found things on your wishlist that I could totally make. Would you want me to make it? Or would you rather it be purchased for you? Yes, that would make it even better!

Who is your favorite soap etailer? Villainess definitely. Though honestly I haven't really tried many others. I'd like to try Paintbox soapworks, Magic Hands and really anything else.

What about vintage decoration items, teacups, etc etc? OMG yes! I love vintage everything. Mostly Victorian (which is hard to find sometimes, I know) 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's Honestly, if its any kind of vintage, you've got me sold. Teacups would be so so awesome, as long as they have matching saucers. I want to try to start a collection of random vintage teacups with their own matching saucers. And reproductions ones would be okay too, as long as they were good ones.

With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? Do you have a preference? Honestly, I have no preference at all. What ever would work best for my witch, I'm not demanding and I would actually be ecstatic with whatever my witch decided to send me, even if it was like, one thing

What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet? Lately I have been wearing a lot of neutral colors, I have been straying away from bright pinks, purples and reds like I used to wear. I like neutral (on the cool side though) eye shadows, shimmery highlighters, etc. I usually wear Everyday minerals foundation and powder, but my BIG love (which I use all the time) is MAC Fluidline in black. I would really like to try other colors, or try some of the coastal scents gel eyeliners that everyone keeps raving about. My favorite eye shadow brand is Urban Decay, and I've been trying to find their eye shadow in Lounge for so long but I think it might be discontinued =(

Who would be on your top 5 (IE famous people you'd date/have relations with ) (this is really hard because I don't really feel sexually attracted to most famous people, I'm usually only attracted to my boyfriend):

#1 Christian Bale (before Batman, around the Little Women era )

#2 Chris Corner (less because of his looks, and more because I fell in love with him through his music)

#3 a younger Johnny Depp (I know that's cliche, but I think its also because he's Native American, hehe)

#4 Alan Rickman (Sense and Sensibility Alan, NOT Robin Hood Alan, which just shows you how good he is at portraying an evil character)

Do you crave many Ecards and contact or are you okay with little contact from your Witch? Nah I'm good with a moderate to low contact witch. I understand that my witch may have a busy life (just like me) and might not have enough time to send me e-cards all the time =)

Do you have a place where you list all the BPAL you have or have tried? It's in the works. I have a BPAL spreadsheet, but I honestly don't have that much time to go through it and mark it all. Plus about 2/3 of the scents I have tested, I tested a long time ago. So my wishlist is probably the best bet! Also, if my witch thinks I might like something based on the notes he/she knows I like but its not on my wishlist, by all means I would love to try it!

Do you like maple sugar candy? Yeah, its okay. But no candy please.

What is your position on the chocolate & bacon flavor combination? I haven't tried it, but I would prefer no candy please (unless, like I have stated in another answer, it is a very small amount of candy corn or something that won't wreck my diet!)

If you are a tea-drinker do you need a tea-cozie for your pot? Yeah that'd be awesome!

Go to your spice cabinet, what are the three most used spices? Garlic, onion powder, powdered clove ( I put it in my henna mixture for my hair)

Microsoft or Apple? I had an Apple for 6 years, so I am very familiar with it, but I know have a PC (I just couldn't afford another Apple after my first one died =( )

Where was your last vacation? What did you like most? My boyfriend go to Cape Cod every summer to his Aunt's beach house. I love getting my favorite flavor ice cream (peppermint stick) and watching the whole sun set, sitting on the rocks at the beach. Oh and another really favorite thing of mine is campfires. Going to Cape Cod or going camping or anything like that is not a real vacation unless there is a campfire. Luckily my boyfriend is an ex-Eagle Scout, so he taught me how to make an awesome one. And we just sit there, the two of us, for hours (no TV or internet) and we talk and talk and drink beers and its so much fun. (I love my boyfriend, if you couldn't already tell)

Would you appreciate receiving handwritten letters and/or postcards (anonymous or not)? How about sending them? Yes of course!! Handwritten letters are awesome, but I'm not usually good about being a penpal unfortunately, because I never seem to have the time to sit down and write a letter.

Any countries you're interested in? Yes, Japan and Ireland. I am currently learning Japanese as a foreign language requirement for my Master's degree. I am a voracious lover of sushi and I am obsessed with Japanese culture, manga, anime and honestly everything about Japan. Ireland I am interested in studying the history of, also the celtic legends and myths, I feel connected to it due to my heritage. I also have an interest in French culture and French cooking. I loved watching the movie Julie and Julia, and I'd love to eventually get Julia Child's famous "Mastering French Cooking" book for my lifetime cookbook collection.

Would you enjoy homemade bath products (bath salts, fizzies, etc.) and/or linen sprays? Esp. if scented with some of your favorite BPAL scents? oh that would be awesome!! I would love that.

If you witch made you something and it didn't come out just right, would you still want it? Of course!!! I am not picky, if my witch made me something, I would love its imperfections if there were any!

Are you a foodie? I think I have the potential to be, I'm just not in a place financially that I can surrender to the desire. I do value quality very very much, and I love eating organic as much as I can.

Any sports fans in the house? What's your favorite sport/team/player? We're Red Sox fans!! though we have never been like rabid fans of anything, its more just for fun.

For holidays, do you decorate? Would you like decorative stuff, weenie or otherwise? If so, do you lean towards the elegant, the crafty/folksy, or the more, erm, campy? I like cutesy, vintage and gothic Halloween styles. Not campy and REALLY not inflatable!

Do you like journals/notebooks/sketchbooks?Yes yes yes!! I have tons I haven't used, there is just something I love about blank books. so many possibilities!

Would you like a bag of dried Honeycrisp apples? omg yes! I love apples sooo much.

If you were to receive a knitted item (such as a scarf, hat, etc), what colors would you like? And do you have any sensitivies/allergies to any materials? I've had reactions to angora. I like dark jewel colors, and I typically hate browns yellows and oranges

would you like a zuni animal fetish? And if so, what animal? I have to say that I would probably appreciate a mountain lion fetish more than anything, like EVER. I know it is kind of hard to obtain unless it is specifically Zuni made, as most mainstream things are about African lions. But I'd also appreciate a carved Lion or Snow leopard, as they are extremely similar in symbolism. (look at this picture of a Snow Leopard I very luckily caught at the Bronz Zoo!!! http://www.facebook....4&ref=fbx_album he/she was right in front of my face!! )My totem is the mountain lion, I have had many dreams of a female mountain lion protecting me, and constantly beside me, and I feel so attached to her, I sort of feel like she is actually there. My mother raised me teaching me what she could about my Native American (Abenaki) heritage and background, so this means so very much to me.

I had a garnet once (I think I bought it at a new age shop at one point, but I didn't realize the shape until after) that reminded me of a female lion's (no mane) head. I kept that stone with me for strength all the time, but then I lost it and I've been mourning it ever since

And how does everyone feel about glow in the dark radishes? that sounds cool! though I can't say I am quite partial to radishes.

Please no Wal-mart gift cards, I really hate that store and refuse to give them my money. I actually prefer online gift cards over in store gift cards. What movie scared the bejeezus out of you as a child? Poltergeist, especially the part where the kid get sucked into the closet. I've been afraid of closets in the dark ever since.

If you are in school now, what classes are you taking? Does anything you are currently studying really interest you? (if you are not in school, is there anything you are trying to learn?) I am taking a Nathaniel Hawthorne class (through which I am generally learning much about the Puritains, though from a secondary source of course), An English Victorian History class, an Imperialism class and a creative writing poetry class. All of which I am insanely interested in I got to choose my classes for once.

What animal would your daemon be? Alternately, your patronus. My daemon quiz said a Snow Leopard,. That quiz got me spot on in how independent I am. Either that or a Mountain Lion.

What's YOUR favorite word? I have a lot of favorite words. I didn't choose to be an editor or an English major for nothing! One word that comes to mind is antebellum.

Steampunk, yay or nay? If yay, what part appeals most?I like the idea a LOT but I don't think I could really pull off wearing anything (I usually wear simple things now) Maybe if it wasn't too outlandish, like a very small pendant. I do like spats, but that's more generally Victorian than specifically steampunk.
