Chocolate or other types of candy?

 

There are all kinds of candy that I love but can't currently eat due to braces. Pretty much anything gummy / caramel, sticky (jelly beans, red vines) or crunchy (toffee *sob*) is out. Chocolate is pretty safe, but I also adore Reese's Pieces and York Patties.

 

For tea drinkers, do you prefer loose leaf or tea bags?

 

Either! I do loose often at home, tea bags when I'm lazy or at work.

 

If you would enjoy something of a knitted persuasion, do you have a preference on type of thing? Since making a scarf for someone who has 10 might be a smidge excessive? Also, how do people feel about shawls?

 

I have about 1 bazillion pairs of handknit socks (literally over 100, I'm pretty sure). However, if you knit socks and want to knit me some, FEEL FREE! I rarely wear hats, and I've knit a few myself so I'm pretty much set there. Scarves are fine, I have a few but it's nice to switch them out. I'm a bit hesitant about shawls. I'm knitting my first two - one is a shawlette, and I'm planning to wear it more like a scarf, the other was just because I took Jared Flood's class and had to knit Girasole. It might end up being a couch decoration.

 

Is there a TV, movie or literary character that you are a lot alike, or would like to be alike?

 

Hmm... well I see a lot of myself in Bones, but I'm not that socially inept.

 

Is there anything you need for your kitchen, ie measuring cups, spoons, grater, ect?

 

I think I'm pretty much set there... my mom was horrified that I didn't have a lemon juicer, but honestly I don't think I've ever needed one!

 

Music, DO you prefer Live or Studio? Edited or explicit?

 

I prefer studio, because it sounds more polished, unless it's something you can't get non-live. Explicit is fine, I don't like censorship.

 

If you are an animal lover, is there a specific type/breed that you love most?

 

I love cats and tropical fish.

Irises are my favorite flower.

Well, I'll always take more Succubus! I have some of that though, and have certainly tried it. Um... the bubblegum-smelling prototype of Lolita? I know it's a longshot.

 

Let's say, hypothetically speaking, that you have some children/spawn (1 or more), and, hypothetically speaking, your witch would like to spoil them a little but knows nothing of kids these days. What do they like or dislike? Also is there anything a (sane) adult might think they would like that you don't think is appropriate for whatever reason? (I'm thinking of things like temp tattoos, make up, things that make noise, or anything else that might be bad for non-obvious reasons.)

Um... not really. I don't read fanfic and I'm not really into the amusing videos / cat macros.

Well, if I'm going to die and don't have to feel the pain of eating too much... Wait! It can be small plates! OK, I want mattar paneer from my favorite Indian place with chai. Then some Phad Khing from my fave Thai place and some Thai iced tea from a different Thai place. Then I want vegan Chinese from Bamboo Garden, blackberry pie made by my mom, kettle corn... Oh, and bubble tea!

Yay, though I have a lot. I once saw this sort of "dark" Alice In Wonderland stationery and I didn't buy it and I have regretted it ever since. I'm in for cutesy or whatever - all stationery is good!

Of course, I need to update it, but I'm pretty sure I haven't gotten any of that stuff. I do have it listed by things I'd like to try (imp or partial is great) and things I want a bottle of (partials are still good!)

Uh... I don't know. With the cats I can't really display breakable things much.

 

With regards to your gifts, would you prefer your presents' awesomeness evenly spread out (several packages of pretty terrific things) over the round or a slow

build-up of awesomeness (going up from pretty cool things to something super-duper cool at the end) to go out with a bang? Do you have a preference?

 

Whatever is easier / cheaper for my witch is fine, but I do prefer them spaced out. I like to spread out the joy, and when I get a huge box at once it can be overwhelming. I feel like I appreciate things more immediately (like when opening the box) when they're more spread out, but large packages are like the gift that keeps on giving as I remember / discover even more gifties!

 

What kind of make-up do you wear? What colors? Is there anything you'd like to try but haven't yet?

 

I don't wear make up. Occasionally lightly tinted lip gloss, but that's about it.

Both! I have had PCs all my life, but I have an iPhone and am getting a coworker's old MacBook to try my hand at the world of Macs.

 

Where was your last vacation? What did you like most?

 

I haven't had a real vacation in a while - my last one was probably going to Madrona FIber Festival last February. I stayed in a hotel with my friend which was lovely, and we knit, spin, and bought yarn all weekend. But it's not all that far from home, just about an hour south. I really liked not having to do any of my normal home stuff, I guess.

 

Would you appreciate receiving handwritten letters and/or postcards (anonymous or not)? How about sending them?

Meat, but I think that's covered by the vegetarian thing. Lima beans, but they're an unlikely witch gift. And I don't like eggs, but they're ok in baked goods and I doubt my witch would send them any other way.

 

Would you be opposed to receiving a digital version (via email) of a magazine you like but don't subscribe to...you know, in the interest of saving a tree?

 

That would be fine.

 

Do you like journals/notebooks/sketchbooks?

 

I like them, but I have a lot. If it is very special and/or handmade by my witch / with-collaborator that would be great, but I'd prefer my witch didn't buy any for me.
