My wishlist is current and up to date, but I can add more to it, if its not big enough for you. Just poke at me or have someone else poke me and I'll work on it. I'll try to update my "tried" list, and possibly make a list of everything I either tried, or have in my stash to try. I'm really far behind on testing decants/imps/bottles that have made their way to me.

 

As a side note, I'm perfectly happy to get one item. I also like lots of little things too, either way or somewhere in the middle, its all good!

sure. nothing I'm really fanatical about though...which isn't surprising...with the exception of bpals, I seem to be missing that gene.

I haven't looked at the list in quite a while. Banning books is silly and stupid. If anything, it makes people read the book more, to see what the fuss is about. Let people read what they want.

What's your favorite classic fairytale, witches

If you're talking disney, I always loved Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty. Even as a little kid, I remember being sad when she was killed (Sleeping Beauty was such a dud of a character, so bland.) Now, I can sympathize with the witch in Hansel and Gretel. Ha ha! Ummm...no one story really jumps out at me. I'm generally not a big fan of some princess trying her best to find a prince.

Jean that are a size (maybe two) too big. (I didn't lose weight, they just were not the size I was expecting, and I was too lazy to send them back.) A black t-shirt that says "for a minute there you bored me to death" with a heart monitor line on it. and orange socks with happy octopi on them.

nope, not until I get my weenie decants at least. (And I try to not buy myself anything during a SW round.)

 

Do you have any interest in rocks? Not like, polished colorful stones.. but like... rocks. With geologic significance!

whatever my witch wants to make! Wool gives me rashes. I like things that are machine washable. (because the odds of me accidentally washing it when I'm not supposed to are pretty high.)

 

Are you scientifically curious and/or process-oriented? Would you like a project-type gift that allowed you do do something like make soap from scratch, take and (nontoxic-ly) develop photographs using a pinhole camera, use plant dyes on yarn or fabric, etc.?

Sure, those sound fun. I also like the looks of the little National Geographic science kits and stuff like that (and my niece may have gotten a "make your own rock candy" kit just because I always had wanted one). Ha ha!

Of course I would!

 

Do you like charm bracelets? If you had a bracelet, what sort of charms would you want on it? Favorite hobbies, symbols, whatever?

I don't really wear bracelets a who lot, just occasionally for fancy dress up stuff. I tend to smash my arm/hands into walls and such and break everything I have. (I've destroyed about 8 watches before I gave up, and several rings got all deformed and broken.)

 

Added note: I like Ellebelle's photography. Contact her if you would like to get something for me, but don't feel like you have to. (I really like the plants and the close-ups and the trees, and the pictures in the puddles, and the waterfalls, and gateway, and secret passage, and the redwood tress, and the ferns and the fishies!)

 

If you could choose a Smack, what would it have in it?

(The spice trade is a little over the top spice for me, which feels strange to say, since I love spices...but so far that's the only one I don't care for so much) layered ones that sound extra awesome to me:

1. unearthed, vanilla bean, espresso, chocolate mousse

2. limeade, coconut milk, lemon meringue, marshmallow

3. raspberry plum, buttercream cupcake, pomegranite fig, vanilla bean

How do you feel about terrariums?

They're so cute!!!! *grabby hands* As much as I love them, I have no idea where I'd find room to put one, without making opening windows more of a dangerous activity than it is now. (I recently took out my aloe plant trying to open a window, but there were two babies plants in with it, so I can restart it...it looks pretty sad right now, everything on one side and half the top broken off.) Of course, I would find room somehow for a terrarium if I got one...it just wouldn't be easy.

 

What's your favorite horror movie?

Not really a big horror movie watcher. I've seen some of the Scream/I know what you did last summer movies and those were funny. Ha! I just realized I have all but the newest Resident Evil movies, for some reason they didn't strike me as horror. (And Shaun of the Dead, but that's a comedy, isn't it?) I don't like the "new" graphic torture movies that are masquerading as the horror genre now. They're just too realistic and gross for me.

 

Do you like/own/wear/want fairy wings or something of the like? FAIRY wings?

I used to have some, but I only wore them to a wedding and one halloween. They wouldn't really get any use from me.

 

Do you like period or period-styled paraphernalia? Stuff like postcards, notecards, jewelry, office supplies, what-have-you?

Sure! That all sounds nice! I'm not really attached to a period or anything, I like pretty things though! And neat looking things! And weird looking things! Things are awesome!

 

I put up quotes I love in my office and studio to get me going, They range from goofy to sarcastic to inspirational... Are you interested in a hand painted quote? Do you have one in mind, or a topic in mind?

I can't think of anything I'd want to put up at work other than "i hope you die" and i'd probably get in trouble for that. (so nothing for at work)

 

Not sure about at home. I'm more of the goofy/sarcastic than the inspirational. Depending on the inspirational I guess. Ha! Once again, no help from me!

 

Jane Austen .. Yay or Nay?

I don't really get the appeal. I have a hard time reading her stuff, it feels more like work than fun.

 

If your witch was the practical type and wanted to include one or more of your everyday essentials, what would those include? I'm talking about the bath products, lotions, face lotions, teas, food, etc that you really use every day.

let's see, handsoap/shower soap is whatever bar I have opened, sensitive tooth toothpaste (I've been using a crest something) and deodorant is one of the Dove kinds (usually the one with ginger in it, but sometimes I switch it up for fun). I use lip balm all day long, like some sort of junkie. I love the little "add to a bottle of water" flavor packet things, now that its getting colder I'll be replacing my morning can of Diet Mt. Dew with a flavored black tea. Shampoo is going to switch to some sort of light dandruff-preventing thing soon (I get dry scalp in the winter), I don't use the head and shoulders kind, but a cheaper & less stinky one...right now I use any anti-frizz stuff I see, I switch brands everytime I buy some. (I've been wanting to try a leave-in conditioner, so if you see a sample sized of that, I'd be happy to see how it works with my hair.) I have a candy jar at work I use everyday, right now it has tootsie rolls and jolly ranchers and smarties in it...I haven't had dum dums in there in a while or starburst, those would be nice. Or something else. (If I put chocolate in it, I just eat it all right away, I have to hide it from myself. ) And I almost always am using a ponytail holder.

 

Would you like any ecotools makeup brushes?

I would! I like ecotools! They're the brushes I have. I have the little 5 piece set, so anything that's not in that would be awesome.

 

Do you like Legos? Especially mini-fig key chains, Lego block keychains, small Lego sets, etc?

oh fun! I would love a lego keychain so hard! (I may have ran to the video game store right away to get my reserved Pirates of the Carribean lego game so I would get one of the Captain Jack figs)

 

what would you do if you found a $50 bill on the ground and a nagging voice in the back of your mind told you that you HAD to spend it on BPAL or else face Death. Also, say they had free shipping (LOL) so don't factor that in. What would you get?

I would horde it until I got my Weenie decants, then see which ones I liked. Or frantically try some of the decants/imps I have in my boxes (plural) of stuff to test. Mwa ha ha ha ha ha! Talk about foiling that question! (I honestly use very teeny amounts of oil, so I would never need a backup bottle of anything, and I've got bottles of all the stuff I tried and really liked so far.)

 

Are there any Arcana Weenies that you MUST HAVE?

La la la la la la la la! I can't see them! Actually, I don't really keep track or go out of my way to find non-bpalz stuff, but stuff that former witches have given me has been fantastic!

 

Sooo...Cthulhu: yay or nay?

Never read any of it. But I like Neil Gaiman's Shoggath's Old Peculiar story. And the little cute Cthulhu's that I see.

 

What are some of your favorite paintings?

I dunno! I know I dislike Picasso a lot, and really don't see what people like about his stuff at all. I kinda like the melting watches one by Dali.

 

If you are crafty, what's your personal art style? I'm not talking just about what art you like to look at, but what kind of art do you like creating? Do you have a "process" while you're creating beauty?

Nah, I'm more of the crafty sort. Nothing really inspired and all that. More of "that looks pretty, I'll make it!"

 

Is there something that you wish you could do, but you keep putting it off?

buy a house? (I am saving for one, sort of.)

yes please! I don't know if anyone other than lucyboo is close enough...I owe her and her adorable puppy a visit as soon as she gets some time off! My apartment, her place, someplace neutral...its all good! I can make an absurdly large amount of snacks!

Dear witchee, how do you feel about lip balm? Favorite style (twist up tube, pot, tube with wand, etc.)? Favorite flavors? Flavors to avoid? Favorite brand? Do you need more right now or are you set? Are you one of those people who could never have enough lip balm even though you have a bowl on your dresser overflowing with them and 10 in your purse and an order for more on the way?

I like lip balm. In the twist up tubes. The pots tend to squick me out a bit. Who told you about the bowl on the bookshelf?

 

Would you be interested in getting fountain pen inks or art supplies via JetPens and or DickBlick? (I know I have a wishlist on JetPens and just love using fountain pens in my artwork)

I wouldn't really use a fountain pen, I tend to write notes in pretty colored markers.

 

How do you feel about getting art supplies in general? (copic markers, watercolor, brushes, paint, sketchbooks etc.)

I don't really use the ones I have enough to make it worthwhile to send me more. They just hang out in the Closet Of Doom.

yes! I mostly use soap, but sometimes I use shower gel! Similar to scents I like in candles and oils! There's a little more leeway in terms of floralness in the soap/shower gel though, since the scent doesn't usually stick with you.

I like chocolates!

caramel! Nom nom nom! Not such a fan of the salted stuff, just seems a little off to me. Its ok, just not amazing, and I'd rather have the plain caramel.

I haven't learned how to use a dressy scarf thing. A hair scarf for tying around a ponytail would be fun though!

It was Tricksy Bath Oil, I managed to scrounge up two more bottles recently...now I have 5. But, I would be happy to take more! Ha ha ha! It is so awesome on me! (And so far, the only bath oil I really really love.)

Is there a particular artist and piece that you would like a print of? If so, what is your max size that you could spare on your walls?

Nothing in particular, but I could use something to put in the kitchen above the sink! I've been meaning to find a little set of three 5x7s or something for there. (If it helps, I have a fairy flying among leaves colored pencil drawing and a big polar bear picture in the kitchen so far...so there's no theme at all.)

 

If you are in to beauty and makeup related stuff, what kind of stuff do you like? What is your skintone and hair color? Are there any beauty products you've wanted to try but just never purchase?

I have pale skin and light brown hair. My eyes are grey. I could use some new mascara and a moisturizing lip balm sort of thing.

Yes please! I don't care for the jasmine/floral teas. I like my coffee on the medium/dark side, but I'm not too picky about that.

I've got some on my kaboodle list. I always liked actual cds best, but I don't have a cd player anymore outside of my computer. Itunes would be good too!

I do like them, but I'm not a rabid fan of them. I'm more of a fan of the older ones than newer stuff.

Nope. Makes me think of church and the way they'd use the incense there.

I like Harry Potter, but I don't take it to the level a lot of people do. I have the books and the movies, and that's pretty much it.

Ummm...I still haven't seen the Grand Canyon, though the big redwood trees are ahead of that on my list.

 

When you are having a really rough day, what do you like to do/have to make it a little brighter?

What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters?

Comics are ok, but I'm not exactly excited about them. I liked the Sandman ones, but the others I've looked at didn't really make me want to go back for more.

 

Are you musical? Do you play an instrument, and if so, what? If not, what do you wish you could play or do?

I can play piano, but I haven't in a while, I have a keyboard at home that I should get out again, its fun!

 

Does anyone garden? And if you do, what do you grow? If not, would a starter garden kit be something you'd be interested in?

I inside garden! Hee hee! Houseplants are nice! I like the bulb thingies for growing inside, they're usually out more at Christmas than now. Other than that...I'm mostly out of space for plants.

 

Do you decorate for Halloween? Is your decorating taste elegant, kitschy and fun, or scary?

yes! I take all the above and mix them together in a horrid display of tackiness!

 

Witchee, do you have any symbols or totems that have special meaning for you?

Not really.

Sure!

 

Dream candle? Scent, color, type (tealight, votive, pillar, jar, etc.), throw...

Baked goodies, fall scents. Nothing floral or "clean" smelling, or beachy. Pretty much similar to stuff I like in oils. Oh, and pretty much anything vanilla is great!

 

Do you like knitted goodies? If so, what would you like and what colors?

Its true! I do! I like colors and I like knitted goodies! I have some squares from the afgan swap that I need some more of to make into an afgan, they're all in acrylic and 12" square. I have some issues with wool, even the nice blended stuff give me hives/welts, though I seem to be doing ok with a part alpaca hat that I have.

 

Would you be interested in homemade edibles that are NOT sweets? Any specifics?

Yay! Probably anything except pickled things that aren't dill pickles. Though I could find someone to love them, so I'd take them too!

 

What GC do you live in mortal terror of the lab discontinuing, but never get around to buying?

Nope! Great thing about bpal, there's always something awesome and new coming along that I'll love! I'm not that attached to any scent.

What are you going to be for Halloween?

Don't know, maybe the same thing I was last year, I had one of those big-long nosed plague Doctor masks and a black hooded cloak thingy. It was a little disturbing, and I scared some of the kids that came to my door. Maybe I'll just wear a witch's hat or bunny ears or something like that. We'll see! I'll panic and decide last minute.

 

If you could have a piece of oil painting jewelry (pendant, pair of earrings, or ring) with absolutely anything painted on it, what would it be?

I like the sound of that! Probably a pendant or earrings. Or a wall art! Ha ha ha! I am not helpful! Something you'd like to paint? Seriously, I'm not picky, and anything made for me would be awesome!

 

How do you feel about nick-knacks?

Nothing really cutesy. I have a few poppets, some random other things, 3 or 4 animal skulls that my dad and brother found in the woods. A little wooden clown on a spring hanging from my ceiling. A couple of strange little dollies.

 

What traditions (family, holiday, or otherwise) are important to you?

I like Christmas! And parties! Yay! And bowls of punch! Snacks and tasty goodies!

 

Do you like going to the movies?

I do! Mostly, I go to the Marcus Theaters in Hudson WI. (The movie theater in New Richmond isn't as nice and always has the sound turned up so loud that it actually hurts.)

 

What are your favorite restaurants?

I like food! I like it when food magically appears at the door and I give someone money and they give me the food! We get pizza fairly often. There is a Chinese place down the road, and a Mexican Market that has a lunch/dinner counter thingy. All of them are good!

 

Do you play any video games?

I own lots of video games! Mostly, I buy them and put them on the shelf or in the cabinet. Once in a while I even try a new one out. A few times, I played them more than once! I have a NES, Super Nintendo, PS2, Wii, and Mr. Boy has a xbox that I can play. oh! I would love to get a plug-into the tv thing that has Centipede on it. (When they first came out, I couldn't get one that had Centipede and Dig-Dug on it, so I just got the one with Dig-Dug and a few other games.)

 

Do you like any anime?

I watched Gunslinger Girls, and I liked that. Haven't really watched much of anything else. I guess I'm not really all that into it.

 

Do you have an E-reader/iPad/something similar that you need a cover/case for?

Nope! I read actual books, and have nothing all techy. I am a dinosaur! Raaaahhhhh!

Nom nom nom nom nom! I like food! I cook a lot! That sounds fun!

 

Do you need any boxes to store your smellies in? What would you store in said hypothetical box--imps, bottles, supplies, all of the above?

Yes! I'm ok on bottle storage for the moment, but I think I'll run out soonish. All my imp space is full, overflowing in fact! Oh, and also, I wouldn't mind getting some empty imps to decant stuff into, if you have a supply! Just so I can share bit of my bottles if I want.

Do you have an affinity for Calvin and Hobbes, Peanuts, The Far Side, and other comic strips? If so, which is your favorite?

Yes! All of the above except for peanuts! I also like Foxtrot and Pickles a lot. I have a few Calvin and Hobbes and Foxtrot books. (I will try to remember to add the ones I don't have to my Kaboodle list!

Do you like hair things barrettes, headbands, flowers

Yes, and no! Hee hee! barrettes are good, though I don't wear them much. Flowers sound nice! Headbands all pinch my head in strange places and give me headaches. I normally use the ponytail holders without the metal bits holding together the ends, decorative ones of those would see the most use. (Any of the scrunchie type ponytail holders can't contain my hair, I have a Lot of it.)

 

Is there a quote (or lyric or part of a poem) that really resonates with you or is your favorite?

I'm not really tied to it or anything, but I've always like "familiarity breeds contempt". I try to keep things a little changeable, whether its just trying something new for dinner or bringing home the occasional surprise from the store. (no meatloaf on Tuesdays sort of thing for me!)

 

Who's into nail polish? What colors/brands?

I like the idea of it, but in reality, I won't use it. (I have one bottle of nail polish I bought a few years ago, and I haven't used it once.)
