WISHLIST HELP:

BPAL: http://www.bpal.org/topic/127-wishlist/page__st__1900__p__1566904#entry1566904

AMAZON: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/1OASHS9ZEEHNF/ref=cm_sw_su_w

ETSY: http://www.etsy.com/people/effluere/favorites

social media: I covered this pretty well in my ?aire, since I'm probably the most stalkable of stalkable people since my internet presence goes back to 1998 (eep!). I have different user names in different places to make it a little more difficult for the creep-os to find me. My LJ name is sophiawestern (you can find me on SnS and BPAL Marketplace!) and I am a relatively active updater. I mean no offense to anyone, but if you don't really update your journals, I probably won't friend you back. However, if you are a good updater, I probably will. Does this make sense? I've found a bunch of great LJ friends through BPAL, so don't be shy!

Nail polish: I have recently been getting back into nail polish. I mostly do my toes, so any kind of crazy fun wacky colors are good for me. Right now, I am wearing OPI Tulip.

Is there a quote (or lyric or part of a poem) that really resonates with you or is your favorite?: Shit, I totally forgot one of my multudinous journals! http://users.livejou...com/la_boheme_/ But here is a current favorite, or at least something I am aspiring to:

For the first time I actually felt like I owned my skin, like it was me and I was it. - Junot Diaz, The Brief Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao

Weenies: Dear future witch, I have no impulse control and I will not be able to resist joining decant circles in a crazed, feverish haze of scent addiction. What I will list are the scents that went on my maybe list - these are ones that I would love to try - even just a 1/4 decant! - but I wasn't sure enough of to purchase the decants. Those are: Araw Ng Mga, A Nocturne Reverie, Autumn Cider, Askalophos, The Changeling, Expressive Head, Nightmare, Sentimental Initiation, The Gorobble, The Zoom, and The Wiley Grasser. Yes, I have a problem, but I'm not afraid to admit it.

Dream candle? Scent, color, type (tealight, votive, pillar, jar, etc.), throw.: I am somewhat candle-picky (sorry dear witch/warlock-o-mine). I do not have a tart burner and I don't love using tealights because they run out so fast. I really like candles in jars, and I LOVE soy candles. I find soy candles to be cleaner burning and hold a richer, less plastic smelling scent. My three favorite candles are an apple struedel soy candle from an art festivals in PA, a lavender-sandalwood candle by Candle Lite and a lemon scented soy candle made locally in WI, gifted to me by the fabulous lucyboo in one swap or another. I do not like yankee candle - they all smell too fake to me. See, I told you I was candle picky.

Do you like knitted goodies? If so, what would you like and what colors? Love them, and love jewel tones. I would adore some fingerless mitts or a cowl scarf.

homemade edibles? The way to my heart is through my stomach. And I am not picky and have no dietary restrictions.

What GC do you live in mortal terror of the lab discontinuing, but never get around to buying? My boyfriend always clears out my GC wishlist for my birthday and Christmas, so I don't think there is anything that I would be desperately heartbroken about not having. Maybe Sheol or Cobra Lily. Cobra Lily has long been a favorite since I started with this crazy addition. I have a roller bottle with 4 imps, but no proper bottle.

Yo, yarnies! Do you Ravelry? If so, who are you over thar? I am not, but my mom is! She is VickiTal over there and she has the mad skillz.

Do you have a non-BPAL wishlist? Yes, it is with my BPAL wishlist.

What is your favorite animal? Penguin, but I ask that the penguin paraphernalia be limited to some degree. For a while I was overwhelmed by penguin stuff being piled on top of me by well-meaning family members. If you see something truly extraordinary, do it. Otherwise, pass on it.

What are you going to be for Halloween? I don't know. I don't do the dress up thing too often anymore. I usually wear a black dress and plop on my witches hat. I kind of wanted to buy a corset (baby's first corset, aww) and do something gothic/medieval themed, but I'm trying to lose weight so I don't want to buy a corset right now. But I've always wanted one because I think I have just the right figure for it (I am an extreme hourglass). Boobage - I haz it.

Witchee, do you use a PC or a Mac? PC and iPad. So .... yes.

If you could have a piece of oil painting jewelry (pendant, pair of earrings, or ring) with absolutely anything painted on it, what would it be? (If you prefer wall art instead, same question as above.) For painted jewelry, I typically like something simple and striking, like dead trees on a red background.

How do you feel about nick-knacks? I like them if they are really special. I living in an apartment in Manhattan, so I don't have a ton of room for such things, but I make room for the truly awesome.

What traditions (family, holiday, or otherwise) are important to you? Is it bad that I can't think of an answer for this question?

Do you like going to the movies? Yes, very much!

What are your favorite restaurants? I admit that I'm kind of a foodie, so truly my two favorite restaurants are Scarpetta and Aquavit in New York. I don't eat fast food at all, mostly because I don't have to because of where I live. I prefer deli sandwiches to McDonalds and there are delis all over the place. I have fond memories of the Unos by my old apartment in Washington DC where my roommate and I would split chicken tenders. If I'm on a road trip, I always ask to stop at Applebees of Friendlys.

Do you play any video games? I have a Wii, but I mostly use it for exercise related stuff and streaming netflix.

Do you like any anime? Not into it.

Do you have an E-reader/iPad/something similar that you need a cover/case for? Nope. Well, I have an iPad, but I already have a case. Actually, what I could really use a case for is the wireless keyboard the mac makes. It is 11" x 6" x 1".

how much do you like jewelry? like, if you were to get a shit ton of it during the round, how excited would you be? Holy crap, I love jewelry. LOVE JEWELRY. Witch, you will never go wrong if you get me jewelry, I promise you.

How would you like to receive some of your Witch's favorite recipes, tailored to your likes/dietary restrictions? And specific wants? Sure, I've been really trying to cook more. I prefer things that are simple and delicious as I rarely have much time and I definitely don't have a lot of skill.

Do you need any boxes to store your smellies in? What would you store in said hypothetical box--imps, bottles, supplies, all of the above? I have plenty of boxes for BPAL - could use another box for jewelry though.

Muppets: yea or nay? My favorite is Rizzo the rat.

Do you have an affinity for Calvin and Hobbes, Peanuts, The Far Side, and other comic strips? If so, which is your favorite? I love the Far Side. I pepper my lectures with the caveman and primate cartoons.

Favorite Mythological Creature? Dragons were always my favorite growing up.

Do you like hair things barrettes, headbands, flowers ... My hair rejects all paraphernalia except simple elastic bands.

Do you like to burn incense? If so, what are your favorite kinds...sticks? cones? resins? What are your favorite scents? I prefer candles.

Harry Potter - a fan? If so, what house are you? Harry Potter FTW! And I would totally be in Gryffindor.

If you were to receive a gift card, what places would you like to get one from? For SW, online places are great. Sock Dreams or the Soap Box Company would be super awesome.

If you RP, tabletop, forum, or otherwise... Do you have any original characters you'd like to see art of? If so, please give information! Even if it's a link to a web page or a profile or picture! My role playing days are long behind me.

If you could see anything, what would it be? Can be a person, an event, a landmark or monument, an object, etc. And it doesn't have to be on this planet, or in this time period, or in this reality! I have been fortunate in this life to visit so many of the places that I have always wanted to go. The city of Venice always captured my imagination and when I made in there in 2007, it almost made me want to cry (from happiness, of course!). I would like to go back in time to see the medieval period. It's so romanticized and I would love to see the real stinking, dirty thing.

Is there a particular myth/folktale/legend/fairytale/godstory that you're drawn to? I'm with yewberry - I like the grrrlpower myths and legends. My personal favorite is the legend of Hua Mulan. Before Disney ever made a movie of it, I read Maxine Hong Kingston's retelling of the legend in the book Woman Warrior, and I fell in love.

When you are having a really rough day, what do you like to do/have to make it a little brighter? A really awesome cup of coffee and one of my "comfort re-reads" (books that I go to when I'm bummed out) always makes me feel better. As I said last SW round, there is something about reading a book that I've read a million times before that makes me feel relaxed and happy. My "comfort re-reads" include the Dark Tower series, The Mage Winds Trilogy (Mercedes Lackey), The Hero and the Crown (Robin McKinley), Blue Moon Rising (Simon R. Green), the Deathstalker series (Simon R. Green), and Harry Potter.

What are your thoughts on comics? Any you like? Any you have been wanting to try? Favorite characters? I'm not too big on comic books, although I do have (and am reading) all of the Angel comics. I only have the first compilation of the Buffy comics, but I want to read those too. I am also reading the Dark Tower comics (borrowed from a friend). I like comics that take characters and stories I already know and put them in graphic novel form.

Are you musical? Do you play an instrument, and if so, what? If not, what do you wish you could play or do? I used to play the flute and the piano. I mean, technically I still do, but I have let my musical talents wane. I still occasionally play the piano.

Does anyone garden? And if you do, what do you grow? If not, would a starter garden kit be something you'd be interested in?My backyard and apartment get very little light, so plants are pretty much do0med.

Do you decorate for Halloween? Is your decorating taste elegant, kitschy and fun, or scary? I do not decorate for Halloween.

Is anyone fond of programs like Adopt a Tree/Highway/Library/Manatee/Acre of Rainforest/etc?:

I am picky about my conservation groups because I know so many people who are involved with conservation efforts around the world - and I like almost all of these Adopt-A- groups. The money is usually clearly earmarked and actually goes directly do the cause. Peek-A-Boo is my favorite! I used to "Adopt-A-Penguin" through the SF Zoo, which was one of their programs to raise money for the upkeep of the animals there. The bat adoption website looks ADORABLE and I heart bats very much. Here is my blathery side-note: There is a restaurant/bar/prostitute hook up place (it is each of these things depending on what time you go) in Dar es Salaam where you can watch the birds all fly across at sunset in a huge group and the fruit bats fly out also in a huge group. The only way you can tell the difference is the shape of their wings. I took a video! http://what-now.org/remote/MOV00832.MPG I hear there is someplace in Austin, TX where you can see the same. Okay, blathery side note ended.

Witchee, do you have any symbols or totems that have special meaning for you?

Not really. I'll think about this more.

are you interested in anything from the Villainness Bad Apples update?

Yes, these are EXACTLY the kind of candles I like. All of those sound lovely. I'll pass on the soap though.

What #1 actor, director, author and/or musician are you obsessed with?

I don't really get obsessed with actors and stuff that often. But I guess my favorite actress is Kate Winslet. I already covered favorite authors. My musical taste is eclectic and my "favorites" shit like sand.

If you have a pet, would he/she/they like to receive a treat or a toy as a gift? Does your pet have any dietary restrictions or other preferences w.r.t. said treat? The kittehs love toys and treats. And so do the chickens! And they will eat anything.

What are your top three "I want to try them but I think I'll never get to try them" (or, "I've tried them and I want moar moar moar, but I don't think I'll ever get any") scents/bath oils/sprays? For me, it's Elf v4 (I have a testable sniffie and it is oh so wonderful - I desperately want more - this is my #1 BPALicorn right now!), Hellion (have v2 and I am super curious about the original) and the Sakura room spray.

Is there a particular artist and piece that you would like a print of? If so, what is your max size that you could spare on your walls? I prefer original art. If you are an artist, I promise I will lovingly frame and hang anything you make for me.

If you are in to beauty and makeup related stuff, what kind of stuff do you like? What is your skintone and hair color? Are there any beauty products you've wanted to try but just never purchase? I have blonde hair and skin with yellow undertones. I tend to keep at least a slight tan on my arms and face year round. Make up is fun, but I don't experiment that much. So, I guess, I welcome boring makeup! :)

Do you like coffee or tea? Would you be interested in trying some different types? I love me some coffee. Any time, anywhere. Tea is okay - I prefer fruit flavored ones.

Are there any CDs/Albums you've been wanting but haven't bought yet? What format do you prefer? (i.e. mp3, actual cd, record, etc) check my amazon wishlist, there are some CDs on there. I take music in all formats other than record.

Are you going away for any part of this round? Yes, I'll be out for a weekend in October and in November, but I'll make sure and let you know ahead of time when I've decided to go.

Would you like to receive a mix-CD from your Witch? Yes yes yes, love them!

Do you enjoy any outdoor activities? Do you have a favorite form of "exercise"? (keep it clean, all!) I like hiking a lot.

Any witchee's with a ravelry account have any favourited patterns that cost money that would be a welcome gift? I am not a yarnee.

Witchee, are you a fan of musicals? If so, which ones? I love them all! DBF works in the theater industry, so I get to see a lot of them. Some of my favorites include: Ragtime, Catch Me If You Can, My Fair Lady, Chicago, Aida, Fiddler on the Roof, Annie Get Your Gun, and Les Miserables. I know this is heresy, but one of my least favorite musicals is Wicked. (meep!) I also love the opera - after all, an opera is just a musical with subtitles. And live animals! And fire! And big costumes! And people still dress up! (Yes, it bothers me that - at least in New York - a Broadway musical is no longer a dress up event. When I growing up, we always dressed up for plays and musicals. It's just a sign of respect.)

I am fond of the thrift. Do you mind lightly used goods? Please be specific! For instance, I'm a little squicked by used clothing, but I don't mind any other used goods (i.e. books, glassware, games, DVDs, whatever.)

Would a gift or a postcard from Disneyland make you squee with delight or puke into your mail box? Sure, that would be great! I love all postcards.

How do you like your chocolate? For example with nuts, mint, peanut butter, caramel?

Yes.

what are your favorite types of Halloween candy?

I like all of the chocolate minis. And the bright crawler worms!

Do you prefer soap or shower gel? Please give examples of your favorite scents or brands.

Shower gel and scrubs - I think I've covered this already?

Beads! Do you use them? Would you want some? What sorts of beads do you like?

No thanks!

anyone like anything in particular from Think Geek?

I love all kinds of Think Geekery - the Ninja Bread Men, and of the science toys, some of the molecules.... It's all so much fun.

Anyone here like caramels? Sea salted caramels?!?!

NOM NOM NOM.

Would you like a hand dyed or hand painted scarf or wrap or other item? If so, what colors/designs/fabrics do you like?

Yes, that would be fabulous. I like jewel tones and blacks and browns. Design I am open on.

This was a question before, but does anyone here like stones? Just pretty polished stones for use in whatever purposes?

I like naturally tumbled shells.

Do you work/study at a desk and enjoy interesting or cute office supplies? Yes! I always love little cute postit notes and papers to write on.

e-readers: I prefer paper, thank you!

stuff for the kidlets: This is covered in my ?aire, but I am child-free by choice.

Would you be interested in a felted handbag? Do any of these styles appeal to you? http://tinyurl.com/3o2epzl

Ooh, yes please! I love bags. These are my favorites:

Simple, flared handbag.

Structured bag with bamboo handles and infinite decorative possibilities.

Gathered bag with long shoulder strap and flap closure.

Simple square bag with lots of decorative possibilities.

Unisex courier-style satchel.

Strappy bag with chevron striping.

Witchee, would you be interested in having a special tea cup/coffee mug/glass to drink out of?

Sure! I like them to be relatively large (12-16oz.) and feel good in the hand. Otherwise, sky is the limit.

Are there are patterns, motifs, etc that you especially like?

I like geometric shapes a lot, in all kind of patterns.

If you're a tea drinker, is there any specific tea you would like to receive, not just the kind/flavor but also the type/packing--i.e., tea bags, loose tea, compressed, etc?

I do like tea and I know this is bad, but I favor tea bags. Or loose tea with the little bags you can put it in. As far as teas, I think I said this above but I like fruit teas, lapsang, and some flower teas. I do NOT like green tea, unless it is just a base for something else that is more delicious.

In answer to the question about dressing up:

I posted this over on the GUSP thread a while back. I love dressing up, and I go to a fair number of formal events since my SO is in the theater industry. However, sometimes dress shopping can be very traumatic for me. The last formal event I went to was in April. Let me tell you - it is frigging HARD to find an age appropriate dress for a 31 year old woman during prom season. Everything was mother of the bride or sequins and puffy skirts. I finally found this dress which I ended up loving.... even if I was one of the few people braving a color! (I took this image in the dressing room while I was trying on, so don't mind the bra straps!)

5594901941_81e05f048e_m.jpg

I don't think I have a photo of myself in my last opening night dress, but I did post the photo of the dress. This is my favorite formal dress that I've ever worn - far out stripping my ugly 1998 prom dress. This dress should have made my look 8x my size because of the horizontal banding, but it has the mojo. When I put it on in the dressing room, three total strangers told me I had to buy it because it looked so good. AND I repurposed it for a goth/industrial night here in New York. A velvet jacket, appropriate shoes and jewelry and a head piece makes this not bad for rocking the goth. It is a little snug right now - must work on that!

3286011639_a5d63968f2.jpg

How would you feel about kitchen towels and other similar household objects, if they are pretty or a souvenir? I do not have a dishwasher, so all kitchen towels get beat up fast. I do need more, but "pretty" is probably lost on me.

puzzles: Love them. Love jigsaw puzzles. Love crossword puzzles. I only like sudoku on the computer where I don't have to erase all of my little numbers. Love logic puzzles. Love love love.

How about little bottles of booze? Ya wanna? What kind? yes please! Any kind, especially new and different stuff. I like to experiment!

Can you sum yourself (whether it be personality, life's goals, ethics, whatever) in 10 words or less?

Nope.

What are your views on fudge and brownies? (Also, if you live in a warm place, where the fudge might melt, that'd be helpful to know. Or, if you're diabetic and fudge is death, that'd be useful to know, too.) NOM NOM NOM.

Also, what about mochi? Love it, hate it, baffled by it?

I love mochi. I like the white kind the best - I get it on my pinkberry!

What looks interesting in the BPTP update?

I may have already ordered a bunch of stuff. BUT! I am interested in Fruitbat Fruitbat, Sugar Spectre and the Beer bath oils. And the SGA soap!

Does anyone like kimchi? Not this person.

Would you be interested in a sample box(from somewhere like Birchbox or loosebutton)? I actually just signed up for Birchbox. I'd be interested in any of these.

You have to place a Lab and Trading Post order. Right fuckin' now. No spending limits. What do you buy? I ... I just don't know. My impulse control is very bad and I have a lot of things that I wanted straight of the bat from the lab - now I just wait for my decants. From the post, I'd buy all of the LE bath oils, Snake Oil, Honey and White Sandalwood and Fig hair glosses, both of the LE t-shirts, Gertrude Dix Atmosphere spray, Morocco bath oil, SGA soap and and and .... :: hyperventilates ::

Paintbox Soapworks - anything you're interested in, in general or from the latest update?

I love the Sorbettos - Guy Fawkes, Man in the Moon, Gingermilk, Big in Japan. Luff.

Do you guys have any sports that you follow obsessively? How about favorite teams and/or athletes. Sports. Those are the things with the balls and the courts and the sticks and stuff, right?

How do you feel about notebooks/journals/stationery? Anything you need or particularly like? I like them, but I don't get so much use out of them. I prefer post its or other little note papers as I write myself notes and tape them/stick them all over my desk both at home and at work.

Does confetti/glitter make you angry or fill you with glee? Neither. I am glitter-ambivalent.

How do you feel about stuffed animals/plushies/general soft, cuddly things? If you like them, what kind of animals would you be interested in? I like them, but have no space. If you see something truly fabulous, then go for it. Examples of truly fabulous plushies I have received: a woolly mammoth beanie baby, one of the evolving pushies from Think Geek, a gigantic brontosaurus, a stuff guenon (type of monkey).

Fabulous witches and witchees, perhaps you all could note of you've received MeiLin's goodies? Or if you want? I would take either cookbook or any of the stories.

how interested would you be on somewhat personalized bottle cap labels? I am a little OCD and I have my own system of labelling. Thanks though!

Tea, my masai blanket and streaming netflix because:

(1) tea sooths the throat;

(2) the first time I went to Africa, I got malaria (yes, I took the best, newest, shiniest drugs, no they are not 100% effective) and spent the better part of a week huddled and shivering under that blanket I bought. But I got better! And nothing could be worse than that. Seriously, nothing;

(3)there is nothing that passes the time than watching 13 straight hours of some television show or other on Netflix.

And if I happen to be visiting my family, my mom. I don't think I ever appreciated my mom taking care of me until I moved out of the house I grew up in.

What constitutes ultimate luxury to you? (go crazy!) A trip to a fabulous city where I stay in a 5 star hotel and eat in only the best restaurants.

What do you really NOT want? I think I've covered this well in my survey, but please no soap or things that can only be used in the bath. I only have a short bath tub and I am tall, so they never get used (like bath bombs and bubble bath). Soap tends to really dry out my skin and I have more bars than I could ever use for my guest bath and hand washing.

interested in anything from Lush? I love their Ocean Spray scrub, but it is quite expensive I think.

Do you blog? Would you like a header for your blog, a layout, etc? I do blog - the links are way up above. If you think you can make something that fits my aesthetic, I'm all for it. But make sure you look carefully at my aesthetic first because I'm a little web page picky and I wouldn't want you to put time into making something that I don't end up using!

do you like chex puppy chow or muddie buddies (ingredients: semi-sweet chocolate chips, PB, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, chex cereal)? EAT ALL THE THINGS.

Would you be interested in a handmade bookmark? Sure!

How would you feel about receiving a Groupon deal for something in your local area? If there is anything you WOULDN'T like, mention that also. Probably not a good idea, unless you map the item and see that it is near my house. I have no car and some things in NYC are farther apart than you'd think.

Are you more prone to order out or cook at home? Would you be interested in cookbooks, kitchen utensils, and the like? If so, anything specific? I am prone to order out, but I'm trying to cook more at home. Cookbooks and fun kitchen utensils would certainly be welcome. Particularly since my boyfriend is/was the cook in our household and he is in the process of moving out and took a lot of our fancier cooking things with him.

sugar skulls: Sure! I've never had one.

Star Wars?: I've seen all of the movies, but I'm not a rabid fan. They are fun and I enjoyed them but that is as far as it goes.

Dr. Who: never watched it.

Buffy/Angel: So. Much. Love.

Do you wear t-shirts? Are there particular things you like on them? Would you like one designed by your Witch? And, if you don't mind saying, what size t-shirt do you wear? Yes, I wear t-shirts. I prefer girly cuts, size XL or XXL. One designed by my witch would be wonderful.

How do you feel about pumpkin scented things? Not perfume related, but soap, candles, etc.... I do not mind pumpkin scents as long as they don't smell too artificial.

Has anyone else heard of or does anyone else love Glamourkin? Looks cute, never heard of it before.

Are you looking for a certain kind of DVDs to spruce up your collection right now? My amazon wishlist has this info.

Does anyone like postcards? Is anyone willing to be a Nacho witch for postcards? I love postcards, and I certainly willing to Nacho witch.

Anyone going to see any good concerts this fall? I have not been to a concert in ages.

Do you like Star Trek? Original TV series, films, spinoff series, etc? Favorite characters? My one true love is Star Trek: Voyager.

Witchee, would you like a framed photograph and of what? No thanks, actually. I have plenty of my own photos up and everywhere.

New question: How do you feel about maple syrup? I feel YUM.

How do people feel about little pocket shrines, maybe something inspirational/motivational to keep in their purses/backpacks/whatever? No thanks.

Do you like beef jerkey, I know some may be vegatarian, but where I live beef is a staple and beef jerkey abounds. If so do you it really thin, hard and crunchy or thicker and softer. (OK that borders on obscene)- I'll take some of that action.

Also do you like or racier ecards from time to time and do you need to be warned if something may be not safe to open at work. Yes, and my workplace is very casual so it's all good.

I have a couple spare Doctor Who stickers. If my witchee is a fan, would they like a couple Doctor Who stickers in their package? I've never seen it, so those would be lost on me.

How would you feel about gummies? Like, gummy bears? Gummy werewolves? Gummy vampires? I love gummies, and particularly those sour crawlers. YUM.

How would you feel about a totally original Gela-skin for your laptop/iPod/phone? Stickers? Decals? For my ipohne, that would be cool.

Since this is a Halloween round, what's your Creepy threshold? Are you a cartoon bats and smily pumpkins person or a skulls-and-bones the-dead-are-rising kind of person? Are your fairytales dark or Disney? I like all kinds. Dead is rising, or smiley pumpkin, I enjoy it all.

Are your ears pierced, Witchee? Do you have any other piercings? Would you like to receive any items of jewelry for these piercings? I have 5 holes pierced in each ear and I love earrings.

How do you all feel about Whoopie Pies? Yum!

Who here adores meringue? Double yum!

What strange misc. items would you love to receive that you just haven't gotten for yourself?: Oh, I don't know. Make up brushes are always welcome, particularly ones to put on eyeshadow finely. I love samples of all sort of things..... I don't know, I'm going to have to think about these as they come.

How do you feel about franken polish? Are you okay with all chemicals, or would you prefer 3 free? Would you want glitter or holographic glitter? What colors would interest you? Sure, that's sounds cool. Sparkles are fine, and any color. I mostly paint my toes, not my fingernails. I'm not picky about chemicals in my nail polish.

Dear witchee, how do you feel about lip balm? Favorite style (twist up tube, pot, tube with wand, etc.)? Favorite flavors? Flavors to avoid? Favorite brand? Do you need more right now or are you set? Are you one of those people who could never have enough lip balm even though you have a bowl on your dresser overflowing with them and 10 in your purse and an order for more on the way? I'm pretty much a blistex girl. I don't use much in the way of lipbalm.

If you had an international witch, is there anything you would like from the UK? (Or Australia, Belgium, France any other country we have witches from. Australia: TIM TAMS. Oh my god, I love them. Please? pretty please? The ones here are not the same. Canada: Coffee Crisp. I love it, and I have yet to find it in New York (I hear you can get it in Seattle though). UK: I love Appletiser and Peartiser, but I don't think it would ship well. When I was there, they didn't have any of the fruit-tisers (except grape which I do not like). I can't think of anything else specific. :)

SOCK PREFERENCES? I like anklets.

Would you like/wear a pair of these? http://www.ravelry.c...rary/yoga-socks If so, what color? Hmm, odd. I do not think I'd wear them.

Is there anyone here who likes toe socks? You know, those socks with a place for each toe? I've always thought they were cute, but I've never owned a pair!

Arcana weenies??: Ooh, Arcana weenies! Although not so many that look like winners for me this year - their foody scents tend to be too rich and cloying on my skin. I would love to try: Serve in Heaven Perfume Oil, Song of Songs: Comfort Me With Apples and A Thread of Scarlet.

Would you like any ecotools makeup brushes? They're kinda one of my favorite things ever, and they're animal-friendly and the handles are bamboo. And to top it all off, they work really well for applying makeup. Sure, I'm always looking for good quality makeup brushes.

Do you like Legos? Especially mini-fig key chains, Lego block keychains, small Lego sets, etc? No thankyou.

A question! If you are crafty, what's your personal art style? I'm not talking just about what art you like to look at, but what kind of art do you like creating? Do you have a "process" while you're creating beauty? I am a photographer so I like making photographs. I'm drawn to geometric patterns, wide-open spaces and interesting light and shadows.

So what say you? IS an "unexpected" visit/in-person witching OK? I would love to meet you, but not unexpectedly!

For those interested in watercolors, how would you feel about getting a palette filled with paint from my watercolor tubes but not getting the paint tube itself? (kind of like this but without the covers for the compartments and bigger http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream) Not a watercolor artist.

How do you feel about getting art supplies in general? (copic markers, watercolor, brushes, paint, sketchbooks etc.) No thank you.

How do you feel about Threadless tshirts? Love! Must be girl XXL.

If you were turned loose in a basic drug store (CVS, Walgreens - a pharmacy with attached mini-mart, basically!) with a $20 bill, what would you pick up? nail polish, body wash and pens.

Darling Witchee, would you enjoy farmer's market pickled veggies (green beans, garlic, asparagus, etc) or fresh canned peaches or something of that nature? yes. I like pickled peppers best of us, but only if they are still crisp.

Do you prefer color or white photographs? Nature or abstract? All.

Amigurumi, yes or no? no thank you.

I have a question! What are some of your favorite paintings? (famous or undiscovered?) Feel free to link to examples! If you go to my flickr link of my apartment (somewhere up in this survey), you can see all kinds of art that I enjoy!

If you could have an image painted for you - sky is the limit - what would it be? I would like my artist person to paint me something they think I'd like! I love original art, and I've gotten some beautiful things from people in the art swaps and from previous switch witches. If you make me something dear witch, I promise it will be hung prominently in my apartment!

Name your 3 favorite scents for candles: lavender, apple cider, sea spray.

Name your 3 favorite types/flavors of tea: lapsang, white peach, vanilla rooibos

If you like manga, comics, and/or graphic novels, what is it about them that you like, in general? The story, the art/style, etc?

I'm not so big on any of that - as I said previously, I like Buffy/Angel and the Dark Tower comics because they continue a story I already love.

Do you like period or period-styled paraphernalia? Stuff like postcards, notecards, jewelry, office supplies, what-have-you? Sure.

If your witch was the practical type and wanted to include one or more of your everyday essentials, what would those include? I'm talking about the bath products, lotions, face lotions, teas, food, etc that you really use every day. I love Philosophy Hope in a Jar face cream (although it is expensive), and any kind of shampoo/conditioner without lauryl sulfates would be welcome. In the food department, coffee is something I also use every day. I also like raw sugar cubes to go in it sometimes.

Jane Austen .. Yay or Nay? yay!

I put up quotes I love in my office and studio to get me going, They range from goofy to sarcastic to inspirational... Are you interested in a hand painted quote? Do you have one in mind, or a topic in mind? Sure, that would be lovely.

QUESTION: Do you like/own/wear/want fairy wings or something of the like? No thank you.

What kinds of coffee do I like? ALL THE THINGS. Well, almost all the things. I do not like hazelnut or fruit flavored. I prefer not decaf.

Do you have any interest in rocks? Not like, polished colorful stones.. but like... rocks. With geologic significance! Maybe if they could be used as bookends or something else practical?

If your witch were to knit you a scarf/shawl/cowl, which would you prefer, and what features would you want? Would you prefer something light and drape-y or thick and warm? What kind of colors would you prefer? Do you have any fiber allergies or preferences? Jewel tones for me! And light and drapy is generally better, so I can loop is around a bunch.
