Clever and dry. I think Frasier is funny, along with some British comedy and Jane Austen. The most recent thing that completely cracked me up was the episode of the IT crowd when Richmond went to a funeral in corpse paint, though, so I guess you can throw weird / dark in there too.

Do you like reusable grocery bags? If so, do you like the kind that fold up (ie Chico Bags?)

 

I do! I often forget to put them back in my bag, though. The Halloween ones on Chico Bags are pretty cute!

The only Haunt I ever got was Orange Blossom Tea perfume, which I adore! Some of the lip lusts look good, like Caramel Popcorn or Pumpkin Cake.

Hemp jewelry is ok, and I don't mind it as an ingredient in bath / body products, but I don't like the smell.

No leather please! I vastly prefer crossbody and use my Queen Bee Trucker bag almost every day. I've wanted a black simple but well-made messenger for a while that I can put patches / applique on.

I recently saw candy corn in non-candy corn flavors like CHOCOLATE and CARAMEL APPLE. It's not a fancy brand, I just saw it in the drugstore, but who here would like something like that?

 

No thanks. Candy corn usually has gelatin or animal glycerin, and even if it doesn't it's a little too sweet for my taste. Though I did have quite an ordeal knitting myself some candy corn striped socks, so I like it in theory!

What is something people are always surprised to learn about you?

 

I think it depends on what context they meet me in. People who meet me professionally or through knitting are often surprised to learn that I listen to metal. People that meet me through music are often surprised to learn that I knit or that I'm "smart" (a scientist).

Stuff you've been meaning to do:

 

Go through and get rid of some clothes I don't wear and other stuff like that, my apartment is too cluttered and I think I should finally do something about it.

For sure! I'm a huge fan of jams, currently I have peach that I made, blackberry from my friend's mom, and strawberry lime. I'm always up for more.

Mostly I just crash into bed. I do have a sleeping playlist on my iPhone that I listen to (it rotates different music) and I wear PJs - I have an affection for sort of teen-themed PJs... I have skull pants, and cow jumping over the moon ones, and some with skulls and stars, and candy corn boxers, and candy cane fleece ones, and some with frogs that have eyelashes and wear lipstick.

Sure, I always need zippy type things to hold junk in my bag (I have a bunch of random stuff (ibuprofen, nail clippers, files, toiletries, toothbrush etc.) all in one zippy pouch that's hard to find stuff in. Or my iPhone could use a cover maybe, though I usually have it in my pocket. I like secret hidey-holes.

I like things that are warm because I don't usually wear scarves if it's not cold. Color-wise, blue, purple, black, and grey / silver are always good. I don't do silk or other kill fibers (like possum, fur yarn), but other than that I have no fiber allergies.

I use oil-free facial sunscreen every day, I like the Neutrogena SPF15 one but right now I have Alba, I'm not too picky about brand as long as it's oil free. I love fun kinds of body wash and have many, I Love Juicy shampoo, I can always use more hand lotion for work, I eat food every day (hee) but usually different ones. And I do love tea but my witch already sent me some!

Sure, I like all kinds of nuts, coconut, chocolate or especially butterscotch chips, dried fruit (not super-crazy about raisins, though I do like them, but I'm a huge fan of dried cranberries, apricot, and mango)

Would you like any ecotools makeup brushes? They're kinda one of my favorite things ever, and they're animal-friendly and the handles are bamboo. And to top it all off, they work really well for applying makeup.

I like Legos ok, but I'm not a huge fan of them. As a child I used to have a Lego man who I named Little Tim, he was my favorite.

Usually I get strange misc. items for myself if I want them... and I can't think of any at the moment other than Halloween socks!

 

How do you feel about franken polish? Are you okay with all chemicals, or would you prefer 3 free? Would you want glitter or holographic glitter? What colors would interest you?

 

I don't paint my nails much, though I do like glitter.

 

Dear witchee, how do you feel about lip balm? Favorite style (twist up tube, pot, tube with wand, etc.)? Favorite flavors? Flavors to avoid? Favorite brand? Do you need more right now or are you set? Are you one of those people who could never have enough lip balm even though you have a bowl on your dresser overflowing with them and 10 in your purse and an order for more on the way?

 

I do have tons of lip balms, but I still love them. I like the twist up tubes or ones with wands. Generally fruity flavors (especially citrus) and mint are good. I'd have to say my favorite is Unpetroleum. I prefer natural / not animal tested / and vegan if possible (though I'm ok with beeswax).

 

Would you be interested in getting fountain pen inks or art supplies via JetPens and or DickBlick? (I know I have a wishlist on JetPens and just love using fountain pens in my artwork)

 

I don't use them for artwork, but I do think fountain pens are really cool!

Ever since a UK swap partner sent me Thornton's Choccies (apricot and oatmeal, I believe) I have longed for more. They came in a bag and were delicious. I am also a big fan of Tim Tams.

I like to cook at home, but I also like to eat out. I'm always up for vegetarian recipes - especially ones for a crock pot! I got a little personal-size crock pot as a gift, and I don't know what to make in it!

I like cartoony and mildly creepy. Not zombie faces dripping with gore (pretty much not gore) but realistic skeletons / spiders are fine. I love vampires and bats, like spiders, werewolves are OK, and I'm not a zombie fan.

 

Are your ears pierced, Witchee? Do you have any other piercings? Would you like to receive any items of jewelry for these piercings?

 

I have 4 piercings in each ear, 3 x regular and 1 x cartilage. I usually only wear studs in the middle two, and the bottom ones are gauged to a 12 or 14. The top ones I just leave the same rings in - they're too much of a pain to switch out, though some little half-circle or small barbel ones with screw ends would be fun... but they have to be small, 18 or 20 gauge.

 

How do you all feel about Whoopie Pies?

 

I've never had one. I seem to think they have marshmallow, which is often not vegetarian (gelatin), but if not I'd love to try one.

Yes! I can't usually do Chex Mix because it has Worcestershire sauce, which has anchovy, but sometimes I make it myself with soy sauce instead. And Muddie Buddies sound great!

Shower gel. I like fun ones with fruity or foody scents. Currently in my shower I'm using a grapefruit one from Origins, an almond one from Lush, a strawberry one from Philosophy, and a blackberry one from Ulta.

Succubus! I only bought one bottle before it was discontinued and it's probably my favorite BPAL ever. I also love The Girl, which is very hard to get. Including one of the moons that smelled like grapefruit (can't remember which) which I adored.

I'm not because it would be nearly impossible to keep on at work - I wash my hands all the time, wear gloves, and use ethanol and sometimes acetone... ugh, labs!

I don't generally like them. My apartment is already quite cluttered, and I'm trying to get rid of the feeling that I have to keep everything because "somebody gave it to me" - which is how I got most of the clutter I don't adore. If it's something my witch really thinks I'll love then go for it, but otherwise I'd prefer not.

It's funny, I don't really have any specific traditions that I can think of. Birthday cake, but that's pretty standard. Pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving, but that's mostly because I love baking and eating it.

Yes, when I find one that I want to see! Strangely that's not as often as one might think, but I usually go a few times a year.

There is this fantastic vegan Chinese place in Seattle called Bamboo Garden that serves fake meat dishes, which I adore. I'm also a huge fan of Thai food (several favorites there) and Indian food, though I'm a bit more picky there.

I've just been starting to occasionally wear barrettes, but sadly my hair is very fine and slippery and it's hard to find ones that stay in. I got a couple from Claire's that are hinged ones like an alligator clip with some teeth and those work ok.
