A question! If you are crafty, what's your personal art style? I'm not talking just about what art you like to look at, but what kind of art do you like creating? Do you have a "process" while you're creating beauty?

 

I like doing very detailed work. I tend to go for fantasy art. I like bright colors as opposed to neutrals. I like shimmering things. I have a certain style I do when I'm doing abstracted stuff. The process depends on what I'm doing, really. When I started my embroidery project, for instance (I'm making an altar cloth by hand) I had no idea what I was going to do, so I started with a border using a particular curling motif I use when doodling a lot. I guess you could describe my art style as breaking it down from the symmetry...I always go for symmetry at first, and then it slowly devolves as the design expands, usually on purpose.

 

...God, I'm such an art dork. I can't help it, dear Witch, I've taught arts and crafts for five summers running, and that stuff WARPS you.

I can't think of anything. Oooh, maybe a manicure kit. Have I mentioned that already? Probably. It's been on my mind. My toes still look good, but my hands look like hell.

 

How do you feel about franken polish? Are you okay with all chemicals, or would you prefer 3 free? Would you want glitter or holographic glitter? What colors would interest you?

 

I love the term frankenpolish. I would use it.

 

Dear witchee, how do you feel about lip balm? Favorite style (twist up tube, pot, tube with wand, etc.)? Favorite flavors? Flavors to avoid? Favorite brand? Do you need more right now or are you set? Are you one of those people who could never have enough lip balm even though you have a bowl on your dresser overflowing with them and 10 in your purse and an order for more on the way?

 

I love, love, love lip balm.

 

I do not care for watermelon lip balm. And I think banana would probably make me crazy after a while. I don't care what flavor--I end to use a lot of that really amazing Burt's Bees pomegranate lip balm these days. I'd love like, a clear red tinted balm. I have to say though, the BEST lip balm I've ever had was this pot of homemade lavender-scented lip balm. I LOVED that stuff.

 

Would you be interested in getting fountain pen inks or art supplies via JetPens and or DickBlick? (I know I have a wishlist on JetPens and just love using fountain pens in my artwork)

 

I would probably keel over and die of sheer happiness. I've never had a fountain pen. I have a standard black calligraphy pen, that's all.

I wear T-shirts a lot! And I like pretty designs, especially the kind with swirls and abstracted/collaged designs, and words. In a regular adult T-shirt I wear an XL/2XL, depending on the cut.

 

How do you feel about pumpkin scented things? Not perfume related, but soap, candles, etc...
