Dr Who?

Yes please!

How much do you like lipbalm? Flavored or unflavored? What are your favorite brands and flavors?

I love lipbalm! I *always* have a tube of lipbalm on me. Always. If I don't have one, I feel like I might perish from chapped lips. (If you've ever played the Infocom text adventure game "Leather Goddesses of Phobos", you might remember that you come across someone who PERISHED OF EXACTLY THIS!!!) ahem.

I actually have a lot of lip balm in the "Bath, Body, Fragrance" section of my Amazon Wishlist.

Normally I don't like balms that are not in a tube, but I would be interested in trying Clove Cigarette, Dead Sexy, and/or Absinthe from Tokyomilk Dark Lip Elixirs.

My favorite EVER lip balm is Better Botanicals Ayurvedic lip balm in Cardamom or Rose & Mint. They used to carry this brand at my local co-op but stopped for some reason.

I love Haunt and Bunny Butt Apothecary.

Favorite flavors? I usually tend to buy things with descriptions such as Honey, Lavender, Rose, Cardamom, Clove, Chai, Bubble Gum, etc. I like vanilla and candy type flavors too. I don't especially gravitate towards fruits. No chocolate or caramel please, my boyfriend hates chocolate fragranced bath & body products. *sniffle*

Please note that I loathe and detest "My Lip Stuff". PLEASE for all that is un/holy don't buy anything for me from them. I bought from them once and I ended up giving or throwing away everything.

Do you like and wear lipgloss? If yes, what colours?

Not really -- it usually feels too sticky and tacky if it's a "gloss". Once in a while I'll get something because it's sparkly or shimmery, usually light colors. I'm not a super "natural" color person, so I'll do blue, purple, black, white, etc. Some times I like natural-ish plums. I tend to like my pink/red things with a blue tone. I loathe orange, yellow, and brown in any form (clothes, makeup, yarn, shoes, furniture, cars, etc.) I've had my eye on the "More Synth" Glitter Lipstick from evilshades.com but it doesn't look like their website is working right now. :(

For those of you whose wishlists contain only BPALs, are there any other perfume companies you like or would like to try out?

I especially want to try more Carnival Wax but it's pretty spendy. I've tried a lot of other companies. I do NOT like Possets. I'm kind of meh about Violette Market and Haus of Gloi. I love Arcana and Villainess! I have some wishlists for other companies on my SW Help -- there is a link in my signature. I'm sure there are some scattered in my Amazon list too.

Your feelings on Adagio teas: If you've never had anything from them, would you be open to trying them? If you HAVE had them and like them, name some favorites blends. And if you had them and dislike them, can you name a few *other* tea companies you're into?

I've had Adagio... and I just wasn't impressed. I used to do the circular tea swap so I've tried quite a few of their blends. And ever since they had a huge problem with bugs in their tea? Their name just makes me cringe. *shudder*

I work for a coffee & tea company and since I have talked to our tea buyers & tea experts it's hard not to be snobby about tea - but on the other hand I'll drink lower grade inexpensive, like the Tazo Awake or Twining's Irish Breakfast, English Breakfast, or Prince of Wales. Good solid black teas, boring, but I do drink them everyday.

I also have a bunch of Republic of Tea blends - jasmine, queen of hearts (black rose), ginger peach, some winter fruit blends, chocolate orange, chocolate strawberry (bought it before I realized it was a rooibos but it's not actually that bad), etc. I used to really like them but the last couple of tins I've bought haven't been really great so I don't know if the quality has gone down in the past 15 years since I started buying them or what.

Now what I'd REALLY like? French tea!! Mariage Frères!!! I really love their Butterscotch tea in an almost orgasmic fashion. It smells just like Lush's Butterball, seriously. It's SO good with some cream and honey. I have some, but because it is SO good and not available locally (that I'm aware of), I only drink it for very special occasions. I'd really like to try their Cardamome, Anis, Black Orchid, Parsifal, and Phenix. There are links for all of these under my Amazon "edibles" wishlist. The other french tea company I like is Dammann Frères. I used to have a bunch of teas linked from Amazon but it looks like they recently changed their URL, so all of those are invalid now. I love black tea with rose, vanilla, butterscotch, chocolate, caramel, licorice/anise, cardamom, etc. (um, not all together.) I'll go through their website and add some more things to amazon when I have a chance.

I have a friend in Germany that I used to send coffee to and she would send me back tea. She sent me an Anise tea that I adore and love, so that's another on my hoard list.

Another lower price tea that I love is the "Yogi" Egyptian Licorice Mint. Nom! I also adore Aveda's "Tea". Another good low cost tea I like is the plain "Good Earth" tea (the original blend WITH caffiene) as well as their Vanilla Chai.

Starbucks just bought Teavana so I'll probably be trying some more of their tea now that I'll get a discount.

I used to have a have bag of Lapsang Souchong but I haven't been able to find it. :cry2: I also love me some smoky Russian Caravan.

Mostly I like black, flavored black, and smoked black. And I do like tissanes sometimes: mint blends, especially when mixed with licorice. Lavender, basil, rose - all good flavors. And black based chai; I think the Tazo chai is actually one of my favorites because it has a lot of anise in it. Although if we're going to extend to boxed tea, then Oregon Chai is my favorite. Their Chai Nog is pretty good too, but obviously that's seasonal.

Please don't send me any rooibos or white tea. Sometimes I like flavored green (coconout pouchong!) but I really do prefer black.

I'm very sad that our awesome local tea shop, The Teacup, closed down. They imported Dammann Frères and had my favorite Russian Caravan. weep. They were selling online but their facebook has MANY people whining about how they haven't got their order, so I haven't ordered from them online.

What about coffee? Would you like to get coffee send to you? Whole bean or ground? What are some varieties and/or flavors you enjoy? I actually don't drink a lot of coffee at home. When I do, I usually use my Verismo. The only other coffee makers in the house right now are my french press and my Toddy -- I need another espresso machine. :( I do have a grinder, so whole beans are best. I wouldn't say no to someone's absolute favorite-est coffee that they wanted to share but I don't want anything in large amounts - I have a 1 cup, 5 cup, and 8 cup french press but I'd probably make it for the 1 cup. (If making anything with my Toddy I have to use a full pound, but Toddy is a cold process which takes 12 hours and I usually use coffees that are designed specifically for iced.) I do like flavored coffee too; when I was in New York on business there was this little coffee shop across from my hotel that had brewed flavored coffee every morning. I really liked their chocolate orange and irish cream. I also like cinnamon hazelnut. And when I lived in Toronto, Second Cup always had a bunch of flavored coffee made. Some people think I'm a heathen for liking flavored coffee (yes, I work with people who are MUCH snobbier about coffee/tea than I am.)

Who is your favourite female of all time? Historical, literary, ANYTHING, and why?

Um. Dunno. Half to think about it.

Would you like a seashell from Florida?

I think I'm good on seashells right now.

If you were a Disney princess you would be?

Belle. She has a horse and a library!!! Or Merida. She's got a horse too! And she's as wild as I was when I was that age. I was never as polite and feminine as Belle.

What craft project do you currently have on your docket or that you want to start? And that craft goodies would be welcome?

I have lots of knitting projects in my queue and I don't even want to count how many are WIP... only two that I'm actively working on, one at work and one at home.

I would like to learn how to match stitch markers, so I could use some tools for that.

If you could have one rare bpal which one would you choose? Probably Pumpkin King, Noir, or Formula 54. I know, I know. HAHAHA!

Are you kinky? Me and the other half are indeed.

Do you enjoy scented candles? Certain sizes that you like? What kind of scents or brands? I use mostly votives, jar candles and pillar candles (anywhere from 3" to 6" in diameter. I used to make candles and I've sold candles so I'm kind of a candle snob. I haven't tried Witch City Wicks but I understand that the proprietor is a BPAL forum member (and I think Switch Witch?) so I'd be willing to give them a go. I'm not a huge Yankee Candle fan, but I DO love their patchouli halloween scent (Witches Brew.) I like scents like vanilla, spiced plum, spicy in general, leather, musk, patchouli, sandalwood, etc. Probably all of the same notes I'd like in perfume.

Thoughts about South Africa? Have you been here, would you like to go? Would you like to receive anything South African? I have not been and I probably wouldn't put it as my first choice of places to go. I have no idea what they have that I would want.

Do you like Sockdreams? If so, what styles would you prefer? They're ok. I'm a plus size and I don't dress up a lot so really I don't go wild about their things. I knit my own socks...

Do you have any kitchen gadgets (a SodaStream, a Kuerig/Tassimo) that you want mix things for? I have a Verismo and no, I don't really need anything for it.

Do you need hair accessories? If so, what kind or color? I could use some more hair spray! (it's on my amazon wish list.)

What is your favorite shade of blue? I like jewel tones and darker colors. Tardis blue is good, sapphire, royal, etc. I tend to go towards purple/red/primary blue and less towards yellow/green blues.

If you were to start learning something new (intellectual or craft or hobby), what would it be? Making stitch markers! I could use a new career as well.

What about candy? Do you have a sweet tooth? Sadly, yes. Lately I've been hungry for peanut butter chocolate (wtf?) and have become addicted to the Trader Joes PB&J chocolate bars. I also love chocolate covered caramels, especially with sea salt. I love "sea foam" - one my favorite candy bars is the Cadbury Crunchie (imported from the UK) and I also love their Curly Wurly. My other chocolate favorite additive is CURRY. The Naga bar from Vosges is SO GOOD. Dolfin's Hot Masala bar is awesome too. And World Market has some decent chocolate bars with curry in them.

Do you have an e-reader? What kind? Would you like to get ebooks? I do read ebooks on my ipad in a variety of e-readers. Someone just gifted me all of the Southern Vampire Mysteries (except the newest one. Is it out yet?) and the Dexter as well as the Shadowhunters. I'd kind of like all of the Wheel of Time, Harry Potter books, Anne Rice, Robin Hobb, and various other books that I have in physical format already but are either in storage or I read them so often that I'm wearing out the physical books.

If your witch is an extremely crafty sort, and she were to send all kinds of homemade foody goodies and handmade crafty stuff - what are items you would NOT LOVE to receive. If my witch makes it, I'd like to receive it!

do you like video games? Are there any you want to play? Do you have a large library? My wii is on it's last legs. I do have an xbox 360 (but hardly any games for it) and I play PC games like Ultima Online, Skyrim, Diablo III, etc. As far as console games go, I love things like Zelda, Mario Bros, etc.

Do you have something you do, without fail, as a personal daily habit/ritual? Examples: pen-and-paper journal keeping, tea/coffee drinking, morning yoga, nightly bedtime reading. I'm kind of thinking on things that would be dear to you and might need small supplies or could use certain extras. I drink usually one cup of coffee (usually 1 shot with steamed milk) and then I drink tea the rest of the day (usually hot but sometimes iced.) I read everyday and reading before I fall asleep is a must. I snuggle with my puppies everyday. I could always use more ingenuiTEAs or similar tea brewers.

Name three BPAL scents you have tried, but are dying to get more of? Mopsfledermaus! I wouldn't say no to more Zmey Gorynych either. Otherwise feel free to check out my wishlist, linked in my signature.

Do witches prefer the answers posted here, but a more cherry-picked number of questions answered, or a more exhaustive list posted in the blog, which means posting here much less? I'm fine with my Witchee posting on his/her blog.

As I am in Japan, what sort of things would you like from there? We have pretty good import places here but I'm always down for Green Tea and other flavored kit kats! I think all we have is cookies & cream.

Do you wear nailpolish? What colors do you tend to go for? What are your favorite brands? Are you open to trying indie brands? I wear toenail polish once in a while but hardly EVER wear it on fingernails. However, my other half does... he likes reds, pinks, purples, greens, blues, gray/black, etc. My fav brands are OPI and BPAL. We'd be up for trying whatever.

Do you still write real letters on nice stationary to people you like/love? Maybe once a year. I have some awesome and fantastic stationary though, I should write more.

Have you ever tried anything from Paintbox Soapworks? Which products or scents would you prefer? Yes -- see my etsy wishlist. I'm waiting for her to make some more body butter in some of the non-floral/non-fruit scents. She said July 1st! MY BODY BUTTER IS READY NOW! The honey & lavender.

Do you like/have space to garden? If so, what do you grow? Not really; I did get some tomatoes, carrots, and lettuce seeds and I'm sprouting them right now. I have some planters that I could put stuff in. The dirt in our backyard isn't super great for growing things since it was filled with "tailings" instead of nice top soil.

Do you like sample sized things? Think lipgloss, mascara, bodylotion, scrubs, mini candles, and so forth. No, not really. I usually regift anything like that. Well, I might burn mini candles or use mascara. But samples in packets get regifted. Sometimes I save samples in little bottles for travel.

Have you tried Fortune Cookie Soap? What products or scents would you like? No, I'd rather not receive soap.

Do you use solid soaps at all? If so, what kind do or don't you like? I do, but I have a lot of soap right now and don't need more bar soap (I make it!) I can almost always use more liquid hand soap -- I need to start making that next. The other half doesn't seem to use bar soap (sigh) so I'm always running out of the liquid hand soap.

Have you ever tried Cocoa Pink? If you are curious about it, what looks interesting to you? I have a gift certificate from last round that I haven't used yet. I tried to use it during a sale but it wouldn't work -- by the time they applied it my account the sale was over so I was pissed and didn't use it. Next time they have a sale I might try again. I like scrubs and was considering some of their shampoo.

Do you like Lush? If so, what is your favorite product that is currently available, also, what is a product that you love but has been discontinued? I used to love the Candy Fluff body powder. I also love the Silky Underwear powder. I could use some more Ocean Salt or Angels on Bare Skin. I'll add more things to my Amazon B&BW list if I come across any.

Oh, anyone a fan of Shiro Cosmetics? Any particular products? Eye shadow pigments in general? Never looked at them. I don't wear a lot of makeup. I'm sure my other half would love to try some though; he likes loud and bright colors.

Are there any companies, products, or items you boycott? (For example: some folks boycott Nestle, MicroSoft, cashews, Kraft, and so on.) I don't eat a lot of "grocery store chocolate" like Hersheys, Nestle, etc. I try to avoid any P&G things, anything with SLS, etc. I will not buy pet food or treats that were made or processed in China. Since I no longer live with an activist it's difficult to stay on top of what to boycott.

If you were put in a room with 100 random other people the same age and sex as you, from your country, in what way do you think you would be different from the average? I have almost nothing in common with people who are the same age & sex as me. I'm a computer geek; I was programming before I was 12 and was a Unix Sys Admin in my 20's. I started calling BBS's when I was 12. I'm not into makeup, clothes, books geared towards women, a lot of jewelry, or most things geared towards women. The exception would be knitting and perfume. Perhaps horses/horseshowing and dogs/agility although most women I know prefer cats. I don't think babies are cute and I don't like children much. I hate it when people use babies/kids as their online images. I'd much rather look at ferrets, rats, snakes, dogs, weeping angels or pretty much anything. Yeah, sure, I'm smart (I guess that's above average based on the mental giants that I observe at the DMV, grocery store, etc.) and I have the depression to go with it. Whee! Oh, and we're into kinky fetishy stuff and like to wear pvc/rubber/corsets and go to clubs. And I prefer to decorate with NMBC, skulls, and gargoyles. Probably average for most goth/bpalers but locally most people my age would shun me as a freak.

How do you feel about traditional picnics (namely the intimate table for two variety)? Old-fashioned basket or something more utilitarian (cooler/insulated bag)? I love picnics! Either basket or coolers. Unfortunately my other half isn't into things like that. I do use insulated bags to take my lunch to work in; I like bags that will fit a good size leftovers box in....

Haus of Gloi did a Reverie update! Do any of them interest you? (Or anything else up currently?) I'm not super into Haus of Gloi -- I ordered from them once and they sent me the wrong thing. They resent the wrong thing again. And again. And again. (seriously) before finally getting it right the fifth time. Their items don't stand out any more than other places and unfortunately most of their scents either have fruit or floral notes so there isn't a lot I'm interested in. Once in a while they have scents that make me perk up, but I can't be bothered to order again. Not that their customer service wasn't friendly; it was totally wonderful and they definitely tried to make it right. I just have too many veins with needles in them already, y'know?

Do you read literature/culture blogs or websites of any kind? I'm thinking about anything that would help a putative witch to get a sense of what your current tastes in books, movies, games, genres, approaches to culture and literature and so forth are. I read certain groups in Ravelry every day. I'm going through a depression/apathy period and my tailbone is damaged, so I don't sit at the computer much. I use my ipad from the couch but I'd rather read than websurf.

Witchee, do you cook? Do you do all the cooking? Is it a chore or a pleasure? I do cook occasionally. It's both a chore and a pleasure.

Which reading level do you prefer to read in YA or Adult? Or even both? I do mostly adult but there are a lot of YA books I like. The Rick Riordan, JK Rowling, etc.

What colors/style is your kitchen decor? And do you entertain in your home? Useful? Our walls are cranberry but I have all kinds of black and purple things. I only do chrome, nothing brass/copper/gold toned. Right now we do NOT entertain; R inherited the house from his dad and it needs to updated in the worst possible way. Cabinets, knobs, carpet, lighting.. the works. But he is resistant to changing anything because it's the house he grew up in and his parents are both dead. So I've kind of given up. My only kitchen theme is skulls and bones. I have skeleton hand salad tongs, skull cookie jar with matching salt & pepper shakers, silverware that is shaped like bones, etc.

Are your ears pierced? yes. multiple times.

Do you like stuffies/stuffed animals/art doll type thingies? yeah, some. I don't really have room for anything like that though and it's likely my dogs will grab and eviserate them. I collect Starbucks Bearistas but I don't have any place to put them so most of them are packed up and stored.

If you knew you were going to live comfortably for say 800 years, what profession, calling or project might you pursue with some of your extra years, which you imagine you may not do in the life that you have? I'd probably do more traveling and exploration in the UK and Europe. And attempt to figure out time travel and teleportation.

Is there any thing - an object, a donation on your behalf, some research done for you, whatever - that your witch could do about this that you would like? And if you can't think of a present, would you rather she didn't either and confined themselves to things you are already involved in? I'm all about donations to pit bull rescues. We do charity events with our monster truck any time we can afford it. I'd love to have research done on getting hats embroidered with our logo and finding cool things to market for our monster truck, better prices on t-shirts (4 color logo), etc.

Would you be interested in someone writing out for your a favourite recipe, or finding or devising one which they think you'd like? If so, please provide your favourite ingredients, info on how you like to cook/store and use food, and any intolerances - unless all of these are in your questionnaire, or you don't like the idea. I guess for other witches this might include something like a knitting pattern - not my thing but would you like that? Or indeed would you like a picture created for you (if so what kind) or a story written? I'm pretty good at finding my own recipes and patterns. The only recipe I haven't been to find is one that I remember I used to make when I was a kid. It was called "Crazy cake" and you mixed all of the ingredients in the cake pan. I would love to have pictures, stories, etc. Picture wise, I love my dogs insanely, I miss my DEW ferrets (dark eyed white), I love Friesian horses. Or something with my ponyboy (fetishy) would be fun. Story wise, something fetishy/erotic about a naughty pony boy would be amusing.

Switch Witch is, of course, all about you.....but if your Witch was so inclined, are there wee little ones in your home that will get jealous and are just too young to understand why you won't share the love, who maybe need a touch of Witchee love all their own, to distract them while you hide all your lovelies?!? I have dogs and a boyfriend. They'd probably both like treats. The boyfriend probably likes girly things more than I do (especially fetishy girly things.) And by this, I mean he wears them. The dogs are grainfree so things like dried liver or grainless cookies are good. I won't feed them anything made or processed in china, so please don't send things like chicken jerky as most of that is from china.

Do you like bags? If so, what type (rucksack, clutch, shopping bag) colour and would you like/need a new one? I don't really need any bags. My mom makes project bags for knitting (or whatever) and I have a ton of reusable grocery and book bags. I could use cool ass FABRIC for more project bags... I bought some from Spoonflower and was totally underwhelmed with their lack of quality.

What's your favourite comfort food(snack or candy etc) and/or drink? For comfort food I like stuff with cheese. Lots and lots of cheeeeeeeese (gromit!) Smothered burritos, cheese smothered lasagna/rigatoni/spaghetti. Nachos. cheesy (romano) garlic mashed potatoes (ala Buco di Beppo.) Comfort drinks? Tea, thai iced tea, some kind of tasty espresso drink or frap. Or mead! Muahaha! I love Glögg and tend to buy bottles from Ikea or World Market during the winter season. I'd love more if you live in a place where it's available year round.

Witchee, I know that SW isn't about what you get... but could you name one thing you would be heartbroken not to get and one thing you would be a-ok if it didn't make it in your box? (i.e. do you REALLY want perfume oil of some sort, or would you be totally heartbroken if there was no Lush in your box, etc) It'd be great if you didn't send bar soap (unless you make soap! If you make soap, I'd love to try yours.) I'd like to get contact and love from my Witch; but as far as material goods go, no, it's up to them on what they can afford to send or where their skills lie in crafting.

Would you like anything from an European country? Any particular food or goodies, magazines, books, whatever would be available to your witch in his/her country? I would love tea from france (see question about tea), imported Cadbury's chocolate (curly wurly or crunchies!), or whatever my Witch loves.

What fandoms do you belong to? Dr. Who, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, LOTR... mind just went blank.

What cheers you up? Making other people happy, little notes that tell me people are thinking about me, my dogs, tea, good smelling things, reading, packages in the mail (hee hee!)

Who or where would you most want to haunt? Who would you least want to be haunted by? I wouldn't want to haunt or be haunted by anyone/thing really. Unless I was murdered, then I'd haunt the FUCK out of the person who murdered me!!

What is the best compliment you have/could receive? Er... um... I dunno? People compliment me on my eyes, hair, clothes, shoes, voice, dogs, boyfriend (haha!) I think ANY compliment is worthy, however, I like compliments on style and actions more than on what genetics or luck provided me with.

Would you like something from Empire Edibles? Sure! I added a few things to my edibles etsy list.

What are the three books you most want to read right now, and which you don't already have? The newest Southern Vampire Mystery: Dead Ever After. The Daylight War: Book Three of The Demon Cycle by Peter V. Brett. The Ocean at the End of the Lane: A Novel by Neil Gaiman (signed would be AWESOME! He'll be in Seattle on 7/2 but they're sold out. Pout. I can probably still get a signed copy from the bookstore that has him here though.) Um, my friend here went and got me a book. I hope that doesn't mess up any plans. I'll change the third book to SHADOWS by Robin McKinley.

What question do you hate to answer? Here or in general? I hate to answer any questions in person, because then I'm being forced to interact. Especially how are you feeling, what are you up to, what did you do for..., etc.

Is there anything small you try to collect from everywhere you visit? I used to collect cool matchbooks from places I visited. I collect Starbuck's City Mugs and Bearistas.

Is there a literary character you identify with? Even if it's not spot-on, just someone you found yourself having that "I identify with this" feeling? Sure. So lately, and don't be alarmed, I've been identifying a lot with Dexter. Mostly because I feel like a fake human being - all of my responses and emotions are LEARNED and I'm sure I still don't get them right. But it isn't because I kill people, it's because I'm aspergers. I really wish I laughed a lot more and could smile at people. I hate doing tech support because I have to pretend to be sweet and friendly and nice. (Although I *am* genuinely helpful at least.)

What would you like from the most recent BPAL update? What are you planning on buying for yourself and what would you like to try? None of the new ones look that exciting to me except the new single note - sweet pea. And I'll probably buy that myself. (bought and arrived already.) The bath oils do sound interesting though.

Would you like a painting? I wouldn't say no to a painting if that is your specialty, Witch. I do love artwork. Maybe I could find a place to put it upstairs... our house is just in this weird state of flux. It's still mostly decorated and filled with R's dad's stuff, and R's dad passed away two years ago!! I kind of wish we could sell the house and move to a place that would be "ours" instead of "his/his parents" because I feel like he doesn't want to change much.. and a lot of it is mostly that we don't have the time or money to redecorate. Most of my artwork (include framed) is out in the shed in storage. *sniff*

Would you like a story written for you? Um, not so much into stories. Unless they're erotic/fetishy. *ahem* And that could be weird coming from a Switch Witch, y'know. Unless you were comfortable with it, in which case I'm comfortable with it.

Opinions on table top games, from cards and board games, to dice and rpgs. What do you like? What don't you like? Favorites? Any classics you like? Do you collect any? I gave most of my RPG stuff to my 23 year old son who runs campaigns. I still have Talisman and I bought another copy of it for my son. Yeah, it's a broken game system but I have such fond memories of playing it in my teens... I like games but the other half doesn't seem to be into them so we never play. I have older games like monopoly, scrabble, boggle, mastermind, pictionary, cranium, etc.

do you have any problems with swearing or particularly off-color humor? Fuck no.

Would you like to receive subversive crochet/cross stitch/ etc., or would this not get much love in your household? I'm not really into crochet or cross stitch... but something framed and subversive would be amusing.

What style is your sense of humour? twisted?

Is there anything from Australia you would like? eg: snacks (yes, you can ask for Tim Tams!), books, magazines, memorabilia? mmmm tim tams. I can get the caramel and chocolate ones here (the real ones, imported, at our local Australian Pie Company!) But I'd love specialty flavors. and the koala carmellos?? and maybe some of the other australian candy that I've heard so much about.

Gift cards/vouchers - yay or nay? If you like them - which stores would you like one for? Sure. For any stores I like! Paintbox Soapworks, Amazon...

Do you like tarot cards, pendulums and rune stones etc? If so, what type? I have a fascination with runes and runestones. I have some nice gemstones that were made into pendants and are inscribed with runes. I have a couple of decks of Tarot but I don't use them much. I love the artwork in The Phantomwise Tarot.

How big is too big...for something to hang on your walls? If I'm painting you a pretty picture, are there maximum dimensions that you have/prefer? We have some large open spaces upstairs. I don't think anything you would want to pay to ship to me would be too large.

what is your favourite object, that you own, ignoring sentimental reasons for attachment? So I guess something you find beautiful, or fun, or incredibly useful. I don't know. My computer? ipad? couch? car? My ingenuiTEA? My kettle? I have a lot of useful favorite things that get used every day. *grin* iphone? heating pad?

If you happen to find out who yours is, how much would it bother you? Not so much.

Is there someone on the forums (within SW or not) who knows you really well and might be able to help with stalking? You could hit up my knitting buddies -- Stariel, Deazinn, Turtlejen, Elka, Yewberry, etc. Stariel is local if you need local witch help. So is Yewberry. VioletChaos used to be local and was my Witch last round. Coldfire was one of my Witches too. All of my Witches have done great jobs! If you're on Ravelry, you can hit up Winterblizzard. She comes over 1-4 times a week and feeds my dogs while my other half is in Mexico and I'm working.

Do you use waxmelts or tarts? If so, which ones do you prefer? I do - but I don't have a lot. What I'd really like is an ELECTRIC tart warmer! I don't use my tart warmer much because then I go through tealights like crazy. I have some tarts from Alternative Breeding (before they changed their name - I have Dirty Vanilla, Eternal Hunger, and Hell's Kitchen), Yankee Candle (Midsummer's Night, Rose, Leather, pine?) and PartyLite (homemade cookies, holiday spices, halloween night). I'd love to try tarts from other companies.

Do you enjoy drinking hot chocolate, and would you like stuff to make it with, or to add to it? I do like it but I'm picky about my drinking chocolate. I really like the Vosges La Parisienne (and I think I'm set there.) If I'm making a mocha then I use Scarffenberger cocoa (sweetened or unsweetened) and I'm TOTALLY out of that. I also use Ghiradelli Double Chocolate and I might be out of that too. I think I still have some of the Theo cocoa but I'm not super impressed by Theo ... which sucks because they're local. I have TRIED to like drinking chocolate with chili peppers but as much as I want to, I don't.

Is there a Quote that resonates with you, or that you particularly like a lot. Would this be something you would like artwork made of for your walls or a shirt/bag/scarf? Too many quotes and yet not enough to think of right now. I know I have the "Riddle of Strider" on my etsy wish list. Something like that would be cool. I'll try to think of some quotes. Poke me if I haven't updated by July. *wink*

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.”

Also, STARBUCKS, Yay or Nay? Anything you particularly like? Yay, of course! But since I work there, I get a discount. So if you want to Starbuck me, a gift card would be the most useful. (And did you know you can send Starbucks ecards to people? Or buy a card online and have it sent to them? Check out the webpage.)

Do you want to receive one big package or a bunch of small ones? Digital stuff all at the end when the box should arrive or as we go? Whichever is easier for my Witch. It's nice to be showered with a bunch of boxes because hey, who doesn't like getting packages in the mail? But postage can add up so if it's more necessary to send one box at the end, that works too.

Have you ever tried Spoonfudge? Would you enjoy it if your Witch would send you some? Which of the flavors would you like? Don't know what this is.

What's your opinion on Moonalisa? Any favorites or products you'd like to try? I have never tried Moonalisa.

Are there any BPALs that you loved the idea of, the imagery - whether artwork or description - but which didn't work out for you? Hellhound on my Trail for sure. Wanted to love it, waited for it to age, loved the artwork, but my chemistry just didn't work with it.

Do you have any symbols or totems that are meaningful to you? Ankh, Eye of Horus, and various celtic knots (favorites are ones with Epona (horses), Ravens, Ferrets, Hippocampus, and Pit Bull type dogs.) I don't know that I have a totem (I'm assuming we're talking about spirit animal or animal familiar) but I feel most drawn to horses, ravens, ferrets, dolphins, bats, and of course my pit bulls.

When you are having a really rough day, what do you like to do/have to make it a little brighter? Doggie snuggles, special tea, blankie & fluffy pillow sprayed with atmosphere/linen spray, chocolate.

Would you like if your witch sent a regional pop/soda? If so, what type (Root beer, creme soda, cola, citrus-flavored, chocolate-flavored, etc...)? I don't usually drink carbonated beverages. I drink water (or water with Starbucks Refreshers popped into it), tea, and espresso drinks. Very rarely I'll have something carbonated if the restaurant has one of the 100 flavor coke machines; then I'll have vanilla and lime coke or vanilla and raspberry. I like cream soda too, and Jones Soda blue raspberry or bubblegum. But I won't purchase them normally. The only time I go crazy over something carbonated is at the annual Renn Faire; I always stop and get the birch beer. I have my own bottles that I bring so I can take some home with me.

What are the three BPALs you would most like to receive - one GC, one not-hard to find LE, and one HTF LE from your dreams?

GC- Joy or Peace (TAL)

LE- The Rose in the Deeps of His Heart or Our Lady of Pain

Rare- Voodoo Queen, Formula 54, Noir, or Pumpkin King

If you knit/crochet, what sizes of needles do you need? Specific needles I want are favorited on etsy. I'd like some Red Lace Chiaogoo or Hiya Hiya Sharps (the RED LACE and the SHARP are a VERY important part - I only like sharp tipped needles) in US0, US1, US3, US5, US10 the most. And any other sizes between 2 and 9 are welcome. For the 0-5, I prefer 24" cable and for 6-10 I prefer 32" cable.

What styles of artwork do you like? Eh, I was never an art major so I fail at describing what I like. I have a bit of art favorited on Etsy though (and on Pinterest) so if you look at that, you'll hopefully get an idea of what I like.

If you cook, would you be interested in-hand made spice mixes/rubs? Sure!

Is there anything from the Oddment Emporium you would like? VOLUPTUARY is the only one that I'm interested in on first glance.

What is your favorite color? In general, blurple. To wear as clothing, black or grey. Unless we're talking docs or converse or fluevogs, in which case black, purple, blue or burgundy.

What is your favorite season? Fall.

If you could live anywhere in the world and money was no object, where would it be? Probably somewhere in Scotland or Ireland. Or maybe I could live on a yacht and then visit wherever I wanted. (I think the dogs would be displeased about having no grass though - we'd have to put in a fake lawn to play and do business on. And where would my horses live???)

Do you have any long trips coming up? If so, could you use things to occupy yourself? I'm actually going to Spokane on Monday (other side of the state, around a 4.5+ hour drive.) Miss Lela is going to get a tooth cleaning on Tuesday and make sure that none of her teeth are broken - she's been acting really weird, shaking and panting, and my vet here looked her over and did bloodwork. Can't find anything wrong. So she's on an antibiotic now in preparation for teeth fun. To get her teeth done over there is about the same as having the bloodwork done here. *shakes head*

I'm going to Jungle Jim's next week (it's basically a massive international food gasm in Ohio, look it up); would anything interest you?Did you say food?? Well, I love food! I love HONEY. I get it in one gallon buckets from my mom's local apiary and I HAD honeybees but they all moved out or died. (They were wild anyway; I have a hive and all of the equipment now - I just need to order some bees.) I love tea! I think I've already answered the tea question - so French tea? Sign me up! I love me some summer sausage and beef jerky. I wonder if they have any Sweet Hots? I've been looking for those since I lived in Dallas but haven't been able to find any. I eat those with hamburgers, hot dogs, salmon burgers, etc. SO GOOD. I WOULD LOVE YOU FOREVER. I also love green tabasco sauce, so anything in that vein of hot sauces would be welcome. I love Clove Candy (see edibles wishlist on Amazon) and it sounds like they have a huge candy selection. So, yeah, food. Yum.

Name three things that you could use, but might not necessarily think to get for yourself? Compost bin for the yard, 30 gallon garbage cans, mostly stuff that is too hard to ship probably. I thought of something earlier and now I can't remember. Oh, I keep forgetting to get hair spray so I have to wear my hat every day.

Does anything from the TP Etsy update interest you? I didn't really see anything new? Anything that interests me from Etsy is on an etsy wish list. Updated yesterday and today for the TAL update.

I just found out Oreo is launching ones with watermelon flavor in the USA only. Is it something you would enjoy? That sounds nasty and I don't normally buy Oreos (usually I try to stick with the organic/natural section) but I would probably try one.

If you don't consider yourself in a "fandom" (and I get that ... I don't really go overboard on my liking of any TV show/Movie/etc), are there any TV shows or Movies that you really like and/or watch regularly or any actors/actresses you wouldn't leave standing in the rain (unless you like looking at them sopping wet, in which case ... well, nevermind)? Dr. Who, Firefly, Buffy/Angel, True Blood, Dexter, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Grimm, Once Upon a Time, Heroes, Vampire Diaries (Damon is pretty hot), Boardwalk Empire, The Cumberbatch Sherlock, Red Dwarf, Dr. Horrible, Walking Dead, Lost, Supernatural (in progress on netflix)... - I started watching Hannibal but haven't watched it for a while now, it's piling up on the DVR. I watched all of the first American Horror Story mostly for the rubber suit. I have Big Bang Theory in my queue to watch. As for movies, I have movies that I have seen like 4000 times. Princess Bride, So I Married an Axe Murderer, the Harry Potter movies, X-Men, Hellboy, Nightmare Before Christmas, Sweeney Todd, Moulin Rouge, etc. I love animated films (both anime and not). Wallace & Gromit. I like Pixar and Disney films (I'm sure Disney is the devil, but whatever. I like going to Disneyland too.) Joss Wheden. Tim Burton. I love most of the comic book based movies; Tank Girl, Batman, Iron Man, Spiderman, etc. I like the new Star Trek movies.

So, dear witchee, would you like some Tw*twaffle soap or scent or lotion? No, my boyfriend doesn't like "foodie" scents so my favorite vanilla ones are his limit. No chocolate or waffles or other sweet foods. (I'm not especially into fruity smelling lotions or soaps either.)

Has anyone asked about tattoos? Do you love them? Hate them? Have any? Want any? I only have one (unless you count my tattooed eyebrows and eyelids); a Gargoyle sitting on a wall sconce. He's on my right calf. I'd like more but I need the right artist to help me and of course I'd need to decide. I've thought about cyber/steakpunk pit bulls, friesians, more gargoyles, ravens, bats. I'd like to get some little ones; ankh, eye of horus, etc.

I live near the Brown and Haley outlet - makers of Almond Roca and Mountain Bars - would you want anything from the outlet? For nut-haters, they have nutless Roca For the no-sugar folks they have sugar-free as well. You must live by me, because I'm pretty sure I like close(ish) to the outlet as well, and omg, no. I really don't like their chocolate.

I also have an Oberto jerky outlet local to me - any wants there? I'm also close to the Oberto outlet, so no. I'm good.

How do you feel about home-canned goods? Yum!

Do you like BPTP clothing? I do have a lot of BPTP shirts but I haven't actually worn one for maybe a year because I've gained a lot of weight. So please don't get me any.

What size do you wear of:

Baby-doll T's XXL

Regular T's I don't wear regular t's except oversize ones to bed sometimes. (usually I just wear a camisole and pj bottoms to bed.)

yoga pants Haven't ever worn their yoga pants or any yoga pants.

Also, what is your favorite lunacy (or non-lunacy) T-shirt that you don't already own? um, I think I bought Raven Moon.. so I'm good.

Or other clothes from BPTP? I want more sweatshirts and lighter weight hoodies! I already have the BPTP hoodie and I wear it all the time like a coat.

What else do you love from the Trading Post site, and need to have? I want back up bottles of all of the Our Lady of Pain sprays!! I actually have a Wish List at BPTP.

Is there a particular movie genre that you like (Fantasy? Drama? Romantic Comedy? Musicals? TV-Series, etc), and what format would you prefer: DVD, Blu-Ray, or something in the cloud (like Amazon, iTunes, Flixster, etc)? I love dark gothy stuff and if it's musical (NMBC, Sweeney Todd, Repo) - that's ok. I wish I had a blu-ray player but our tv's are ollld. so I guess dvd.

Following up on the Adagio question from earlier, what are you top five wishes, for teas and blends? I think I already went over that on the tea question. My ultimate would the Mariage Frères butterscotch tea and other things I already talked about. I love black tea with Anise. I love black tea with roses. I'd really like more Russian Caravan or Lapsang Souchong. I'm almost out of my Aveda tea and I'm totally out of the Yogi Egyptian Licorice Mint. I go through Prince of Wales/English Breakfast/Irish Breakfast like there is no tomorrow. Ok, I think that's more than five.

Do you have anything that you do ritually, every summer? We used to have a BBQ/fireworks display every year but my boyflame is in Mexico this year and on his way back he is doing a Fourth of July monster truck show in the Los Angeles area. *sniff* I like to try to go to the County and State fairs every year. And we used to go out on our boat and waterski all day and then hit Ivars or Kid Valley for dinner, but we didn't boat at all last year because of the new monster truck business. Traditions are in flux right now.

What are your top five wishes from ThinkGeek? P0wnies shirt. anything else on my wishlist.

Seen anything lately that makes you go OH HOLY FUCK THAT'S AWESOME!! ? Not really.

Do you like audiobooks? If so, do you have/would you like to try Audible? (I'm an addict, myself.) I'm not really an audiobook person. I used to check them out from the library and put them on my ipod to listen to while I drive... but I haven't done that for a while. (I think I have all of the Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and Wheel of Time on mp3...) Since I have to drive for 4.5 hours on Monday and then back on Friday, a couple of audiobooks might be ok. But I can't for the life of me think what I'd want.

Chocolate: Love? Hate? Allergic? If love, what are your faves? Love! But I am snobby about chocolate to some degree. I don't do hersheys/nestle/mars M&M. I love IMPORTED Cadbury Crunchies, Curly Wurly, and Fruit & Nut. And the Carmello. I love the Vosges Naga Bar (but I'm not terribly fond of some of their other bars.) Lately I've been loving the Trader Joe's PB&J bar. World Market has some interesting curry bars that I've been getting - and the coconut sea salt. The Chuao Honeycomb bar is ok. I might try the Bacon Maple one sometime. I really miss the Dolfin brand bars that one of our local snobby grocery stores used to carry; I'd get their jasmine tea bar and their hot masala bar. Milka bars are awesome, either plain milk or with hazelnuts. I have chocolate bars on my Amazon edibles wish list if you need more inspiration. I love milk chocolate with almonds or almonds & raisins. Or just plain if I'm in the mood. I love chocolate salted caramels. I was really addicted to the Seattle Chocolates San Juan bar for a while (salted caramel, toffee, milk chocolate.) I don't really like chili in my chocolate although I really WANTED to. Rittersport is pretty good; hazelnuts or almonds, dark or milk. Godiva is ok, the salted caramel. I don't like "NewTree" chocolate, just throwing that out there. I'm not especially fond of the Theo chocolate either, which sucks because they're local to Seattle. I do like our local Dilettante chocolates, but mostly the sauces (dark chocolate ephemere and caramel) and hand dipped truffles (not the truffle creams or meltaways - and really, I'd have to pick out my own. and they're really expensive.) And dragees - chocolate covered cherries, blueberries, apricots and strawberries are always tasty. But they're local, I can get that anytime. Usually costco will have Dilettante gift baskets. I'd be open to trying some chocolate that is local to my Witch!

Gourmet popcorn, yes/no? What do you like: glazed, savory, candied? Nuts or not? Any flavors you wouldn't like (like Bacon CHeeseburger, Pizza, Watermelon, Root Beer Float, Hot Chili Dark Chocolate)? Or if any of those sounded interesting, how weird is weird enough? I'm not actually a huge popcorn fan. The smell of microwave popcorn is the first thing that made me barf when I was pregnant (and a chicken fast food place outside was the second) and ever since then I've actively disliked popcorn and fried chicken. 23 years later I'm starting to get over the chicken part (not that I eat fast food, and especially not fast food chicken.) If my mom makes caramel popcorn balls I'll usually have some - or if we're at the pumpkin patch and they have kettle corn? I'm all about the kettle corn. I'll eat popcorn at movies once in a while. I generally won't eat popcorn from tins though so it doesn't matter what flavor. Sorry, I am no fun!

would you like some detangling and very shiny hair gloss made by me? This is a 'cone rich blend, not the least bit natural. I don't have very much hair! I shave mine on the sides & back and I tease it on the top, so detangling and gloss is the last thing I want!! I've been considering growing it out again -- I haven't shaved the sides for a while and I bet it's JUST long enough to put extensions or dreads in. But I haven't decided... shaving it off would be cheaper.

I know the question about personal style was included in the questionnaire, but is there anything that could give your witch a better sense of your style/fashion or decoration preferences? Like tumblrs, pictures you like, websites, stores (or brands) you like or would like to be able to shop at and so forth? All of my pertinent links are on the spreadsheet. As for clothes, I mostly wear TDU's (Twilight Dress Unit) which are black BDU or black capri pants, either docs/fluevogs/converse or summery sandals, and cami's with a zip up lightweight hoodie or with a pullover hoodie. I've gained a lot of weight (like up to 10 inches in my waist, cough choke) so most of my corsets and fetish gear don't fit right now (boo) so I'm on a no clothes buying diet until I work some of it back off.

I saw you have a cat - would it be okay for me to add something for them in a package? Do they like mousies, crunch/soft treats or 'nip? I don't have a cat. The dogs wouldn't mind treats though. They have their own section on my Amazon wish list (on the left - "for the pups") -- no treats that were processed or made in China please. And Miss Lela is allergic to grains, so things like dried liver made in the USA are probably safest. We have a couple of local places that sell grainless cookies too.

Do you like earrings? Any particular style appeal to you? (hoops, chandelier style, pretty beads etc.) As stated on my initial Q&A, I only wear studs or body piercing type jewelry (hoops, spirals, half hoops, whatev.) I have examples of what I like on my Amazon wish list (on the left, probably under wearables?) and on my etsy favorites.

Do you like/wear makeup? If so what brands/colors/types? I wear mostly just foundation, powder, eyebrow powder and eyeliner. I could use more mascara. When we go out to a club then I'll wear eyeshadow too, rarely do I wear blush. (PALE. It's all about the PALE.) My other half wears a full face of makeup way more often than I do. Think drag queen and all about the sparkly. I wear prescriptives foundation/powder and I think my last mascaras have been MAC or Prescriptives. I have all sorts of eyeshadow; loose minerals from various people on etsy, pressed from MAC (Maleficient from the Villainess line!), Urban Decay, etc. Sometimes I do Origins liner or MAC liner. I'm always looking for an actual smudge proof black pencil liner that will STAY but I've never found one. I have a couple different kinds of black liquid liner. I could use more brow powder; the kind I had isn't made anymore. My brows are tattooed but they're light; it's more like a template to draw on the eyebrows with my eyebrow brush. I usually get my brows tinted when they're being threaded but it doesn't seem to last for more than a week. I had evilshades.com on my wishlist for all kinds of fun lip/eye things but their website doesn't work anymore. :( I like shimmery and glittery eyeshadow in purples, blues, greys, blacks, pinks. I don't wear beige or brown of any sort (except brow powder!)

Is there anything special I could get you from New York City? Ummmm. Pizza and bagels? Grinders? Fun tea or coffee?

Do you want/need/like/collect journals? If so, do you prefer lined or unlined? I don't write anything at all if I can help it (you wouldn't be able to read it if I did) and I don't draw, so journals are something that sit on a shelf and look pretty.

How do you feel about glitter? does loose glitter make your skin crawl or would you bathe in it? I like glitter in my soap and I use some shimmery body sprays once in a while (or shimmery body dusters) - one of my Lush bath bombs just glitterbombed my bathroom. sigh. But loose glitter in general? notsomuch. glitter gel, glitter eyeshadow, etc. are all good. My other half is always stealing my glitter gel and eyeshadow. Think drag queen glittery.

I know Canadian chips can be different than others, how does "dill pickle" or "ketchup" sound? We actually have dill pickle and spicy ketchup Lays chips here. I see them at Fred Meyer. I used to LOVE ketchup and dill pickle chips but then I noticed that I felt really sick and headachey when I ate them. Finally figured out I have an MSG sensitivity, and unfortunately most flavored chips have MSG in them. So.... no chips for me. You wouldn't believe all of the stuff in normal grocery stores that contains MSG. Another reason I shop mostly for natural brands and at my local co-op, trader joes, whole foods, the farmers market, etc.

If you were getting a custom Haus of Gloi blend, what four notes would you choose? Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, Amber or Rose, Patchouli, Clove, Vanilla Bean or Leather, Woodsmoke, Red Musk, Clove or Leather, Anise, Clove, Vanilla, or Lavender, Anise, Vanilla, Clean Musk or... Their rose lip balm interests me, as does their Rose City pumpkin butter.

Do you like Kickstarter? Are there any projects up that you really like? I'm all for kickstarter and indiegogo. I don't follow any projects though, so dunno!

If you have an Etsy wishlist, what are your top 5 favorite things on there? The price is unimportant, not because I'm rich, but because I'd like some inspiration.

1. The Mr. Tea teapot & creamer/sugar. I WILL HAVE ONE SOMEDAY. Hopefully she restocks soon. (I already have a Mr. Tea teabag holder.)

2. The Guardian of Hopes & Dreams is one of my favorites but I already have about three of him in the small size.

3. The Dr Who converse and messenger bag (Timey Wimey in blues & purples!)

4. The Lovers painting from the Phantomwise tarot deck

5. Either the swirly trees or any of the raven photos/paintings.

Festival this week -- includes an "encampment" and an art faire. any interest in trinkety things from the encampment or cards/prints from local artists Sadly I haz no room for trinkety things or much artworks. sadface.

Does the idea of wearing a plant as jewelery give you the warm fuzzies or the heebie jeebies? No thanks!

Anything interesting from the new Paintbox Soapworks update for you? YES. She just stocked Honey Lavender body butter JUST FOR ME! I have a whole section on Etsy just for Paintbox Soapworks with the scents I'd like to try.

What about recycled sari silk yarn, witches and witchees? I wouldn't say no, but I already have a bunch and no idea what I'm going to make with it!

Sooo, the Blooddrop update (Aviary and Summer Simplicities). Anything you'd like from there? Ooh. Black Heron actually sounds awesome. Orchid or Teak summer simplicities. Honey, Pink Vanilla, and Wild Lavender Spring simplicities.

Every package has to have something blue in it. Blue can also be used to describe more risque humor...how would you rate your general sense of humor? Are you strictly PG-13, R-rated, NC-17? I have a very dark sense of humor and I'm good with raunchy. But I still want it to be witty, y'know?

Do you like puzzles? What kind? Jigsaw, word, etc? Yub. I have some box puzzles on my ThinkGeek wishlist. I like jigsaw puzzles but I haven't done them in forever -- most of the puzzles I do online these days. I loved games like 7th Guest, 11th Hour, Shivers, etc. that had a lot of puzzles.

If I wanted to include something for your fluffball, what would be good, and what should I stay away from? grainless or made in china -- avoid! I'm sure my dogs would love a new small planet dog orbee ball. especially the pink and blue.

Would homemade treats be something you'd like for your dog/cat? As long as they are grainless/gluten free, sure!

If you get a long weekend this weekend... what are you doing with it? Staying in? Going out? Family? Friends? If you don't get a long weekend, are you OK with that, or a little sad? (If you are Canadian, apply this to last weekend). I had to take Miss Lela to get her teeth cleaned in Eastern Washington. I didn't even go see fireworks, I was asleep before dark.

Would you be interested in getting a kombucha starter and instructions on how to use it to easily make your own fermented, probiotic tea drink? no thanks!!

Anything from Villainess that strikes your fancy, either from their update or from the GC? yes yes yes. Decadence Whipped! And I could use another smack that is just Rose Rose and Vanilla Vanilla. Or one that is rose, leather, smoke, and vanilla. I wanted to try their Bourbon Vanilla whipped/smooch but I don't see them on the website anymore??
