1. I wonder what a potential witchee would think about being bombarded with PUMPKINS in various formats. Because my current obsession just may last long enough to be of use in spoiling.....but I know wouldn't be appreciated by everyone. Would you appreciate it?!?

2. I currently have a CSA and my significant other is perpetually out of town for work, so I've been doing a lot of canning and baking with my vegetables. How do people feel about canned good (pickles, salsa, etc) and vegetal baked goods (squash bread, zucchini bread).

I love coffee and tea. I am anti-Keurig.

Not much. My hubby does most of the cooking. I bake (cookies, banana bread, that sort of thing) and have a few dishes that I'm very good at making.

 

THAT SAID... my mom just bought us a food dehydrator, so I'm interested in learning about drying stuff.

 

7. How do people feel about creative endeavours? Would you like to receive one? Or supplies to make your own? What do you like? Drawings, stories, poems?

 

Of course! I would love any sort of creative endeavor my witch sent.

 

8. What culture or country (doesnt have to be modern) do you feel an innate connection with? What about it makes it special to you?

 

I love Italy. My husband and I spent our honeymoon there (and he'd visited before). We weren't in an especially touristy area, and we really loved the lifestyle. Lots of small local shops, lots of walking and taking trains. We love the old buildings too (whereas here people seem to have this throwaway attitude; things aren't built to last). It was wonderful.

 

9. Is there any sort of art commission you would like: cartoony, pin-up, fantasy, realistic, etc? If so, what subject would you like drawn (a picture of you, a character, a loved one or pet)?

 

I would love to have my cat, Simon, in a format suitable for a tattoo.

 

10. What do you find yourself doing for fun in your free time? What are your main hobbies and interests?

 

Reading and gaming are my primary downtime activities (and I read A LOT). Currently, I'm way into Final Fantasy XIV, gaming-wise. I like yoga. Sometimes I like making jewelry. I used to go to the gym (our local YMCA) a lot, but due to finances this year, I don't have a current membership. I hope I can renew soon.

 

11. Table-top gaming? If yes, what kind, edition, etc? Gaming accessories you long for?

 

I desperately wish we had a local D&D group. Right now we don't, so we don't have anything.

 

12. DVD movies or games that you wish would magically appear in your hands? Can they be used, through Amazon?

 

We have blu-ray, and also an Apple TV. Used is just fine. Movie wishes: anything Alfred Hitchcock, Beauty and the Beast (Disney), The Cat Returns (anime), The Wind Rises (anime), Howl's Moving Castle (anime).

 

13. What kind of snacks or candy from other countries/states would you like to try?

 

I'm open to anything that fits within my likes/dislikes from questionnaire. Other info that I forgot to include: I don't like marzipan, and I only like coconut in savory things (like curry) or those little doughnuts with toasted coconut on top. I really don't like, for example, Mounds-style candies.

 

14. Do you have a favorite internet meme, character or pop culture fandom?

 

I don't think I could pick a favorite fandom if I tried!

Nothing specific, but if my witch saw something she thought I'd like, go for it!

I like to be in contact with my witch, and chattiness is great! But I also understand that my witch could be busy, shy, etc. so if you get me and that's you don't feel pressured! If you *are* chatty, by all means, email away.

Yes!

 

19. If you were to receive music, would you want a physical CD or digital versions?

 

I've digitized pretty much all my music at this point, but if my witch sent a CD, I could always rip it, so no big deal.

I'd have to think about this one. Nothing comes immediately to mind.

Nothing that I can think of that a witch would remotely send.

 

23. For the vegetarians and vegans: How do you feel about things (say, marshmallows or gummy candy) made with vegan gelatin or other typically-animal-derived-but-not-in-this-instance products?

 

NA for me, but I now that you mention gummies... I love Haribo gummy bears. I understand that they have other gummies too, but the traditional bears are the only ones we can get in our area.

 

24. Ok, so we've covered pumpkin. How do you feel about the other fall classic – apples?

 

Personally, I love them. I may have more apple scents than pumpkin ones, in fact, and of course, yum! Apples, apple cider, apple pie (not that a pie would ship well!)... On the other hand, I'm not fond of "green apple" flavored things (think: Skittles, Jolly Rancher, etc.), although I love actual Granny Smiths. Favorite apple: winesap.

 

25. Do you have any fabric or skin-contact aversions?

 

I think this was in my questionnaire.

 

26. How do you feel about Christmas/Yule ornaments?

 

Not quite ready for them yet.

I love Hello Kitty (who is a cat; don't be ridiculous, Sanrio) and also Chococat, although not as much as Tokidoki cats.

 

28. If you had a week free where you could learn anything, with no financial restrictions, what would you want to study?

 

I'm a huge wine nerd, and I would love to take a serious wine course, like a week-long workshop or something. I'd also really love to take another course like the ones offered here (I took her Witchcraft 101 course online and really enjoyed it).

Yes. I'll have to come back to this. I worked really hard on this question last night (before my hubby closed the browser tab I left open, ARGH!) and I'll have to start over again.

I prefer eBooks (Kindle, Nook, ePub, whatever). I LOVE audiobooks (and I do have an audible account, the email on the account is the one in my questionnaire).

I do enjoy some smut. I love Mei Lin's work. I also tend toward MM romance of the sort written by and for women.

Ooooh. I love Haus of Gloi (Ghost Puffs! Must have all the Ghost Puffs!). A perfect blend for me: Leather, tobacco, woodsmoke, vanilla.

Something with a cat, or a beautiful fall landscape, with colorful leaves.

Black cats, bats & witches are my favorites.

Favorite brands: Urban Decay, Benefit. I'm starting to get into Nyx. Indie-wise, I like Meow Cosmetics, and I'm open to trying others too, particularly ones that have bright, high quality pigments. I love eye shadows and nail polish with that cool color shift effect.

 

I would love to try Enchanted Polish.

 

46. How do you feel about profanity and off-color humor?

 

I have no problem with that.

 

47. I make hairsticks...would you like/use them?

 

My hair is only chin length, so it would probably be too short.

 

48. Does anyone here LARP? If so, what kind of LARP? And what kind of character do you play?

 

I wish, but sadly no. No one much to LARP with in our area.

I wouldn't freak out. I'm pretty adventurous. (I don't know if I'd eat a chocolate covered scorpion, though.)

 

50. This has kind of been covered, but, are you ok with receiving canned jam (from a veteran jammer!) and if so, what flavors would you like and not like?

 

Sure. Things I wouldn't like: carrot, celery (not sure if either of those would even be an option), pineapple. Something I would love: some kind of yummy tomato jam, strawberry jalapeno jam (someone made some this summer and it was crazy good), something along the lines of a blackberry ginger jam. Hope that's helpful!

 

51. Let's talk nail polish. What colors do you love? Hate? Which brands are you dying to try? Have you ever used indies? Do you like glitter? Any textures to avoid (glitter, sand, etc)?

 

Brands I'd love to try: Enchanted Polish, A England, Butter London. Have no texture issues. Colors to avoid: yellow (ugh) and blue (I WANT to use this but it always makes me look like I have corpse hands). Colors I love: Purple (of course), red (particularly deep reds), pink, nudes with a pink or purple base. I love shimmery/color shift polish. I love bright and interesting colors (in makeup also) and have no need to be concerned about "office colors" (that's why I'm the bitch in charge).

 

52. How do you feel about getting a special Halloween plushie?

 

I would love it.

 

53. I'm in Japan, anything specific you might want from the land of the rising sun?

 

Sadly, I'm guessing you can't ship sushi direct to my door? Hehe. Anyway, let's see... Kit Kats in crazy flavors, Studio Ghibli stuff, cool chopsticks (mine are getting pretty worn out), Maneki Nekos, wasabi or other spicy, crunchy snacks, stickers.

 

54. Are there any GC scents that you know you love, but for whatever reason, keep putting off buying bottles of?

 

Not that I can think of off the top of my head, but check my BPAL wish list.

 

55. I know not everyone likes Lush products, but if you do, which Lush items would you like to get from your Witch?

 

Lush wishes & faves: D'Fluff (dying to try it), Jackie Oates, Ocean Salt, Dream Cream, It's Raining Men. I'd like to try their makeup too.

 

56. Is there anywhere (in the US) that you are dying to get away to? Also when would you be able to get away. Would this even be something you were interested in? If so, go look at the Southwest sale for routes and dates and times.

 

Right now we're really focused on saving for a trip to Brussels (hopefully) later this fall. My hubby has been invited to speak at a seminar.

Love them! I wear them all fall and winter. I like them just-past-the-wrist style the best (and only have a gray pair of those, so I'd love more colors).

Yes! Right now, I'd like some Punkie Night and Indian Summer (are there more Halloweenie ones coming out soon?). What I really, really love is Hayley's new sensitive skin facial scrub (I got to be a tester!) but I don't think it's available yet. I love it, and desperately need more.

 

63. How would you feel if your witch or a minion of your witch showed up in person at your house with goodies? Thrilled? Annoyed? Completely creeped out?

 

That would be cool with me, but probably not as cool with my dogs. I have a german shepherd who's super protective, and a Catahoula mix who just follows along with him. So... probably better to let me know in advance!

I'd love that, and I would like a burner for loose incense and some charcoals. I don't have a very good burner (I'm actually just using a flat candle holder), and I'm almost out of charcoal.

Sure! That would be great.

Handmade cards would be lovely. I'm not sure about a quill pen. Are they hard to use?

I would say a 10, although I'm actually not that crazy about the flavor of ghost peppers.

If we're talking "things you mostly only see at Halloween," I'd have to go with Mary Janes (those yummy peanut butter candies in orange and black wrappers).

When someone asked about Thinkgeek and I went to check my wish list, I sort of fell in love with these, although usually I like the kind that are like a cross between a fuzzy sock and a Mary Jane (shoe, not candy).

76. What gadgets do you use in your everyday life and would you like a cool case for them - with your favourite fandom or artwork or saying?

 

I'm hoping to pick up an iPhone 6 this week or next, and I'd need a case for it, but you know how that goes. Usually it takes awhile for companies to make cool cases.

I can always use more eye shadow brushes.

Now here's a question I can answer in detail! My routine: In the morning: I typically use a gentle scrub (my new fave is the upcoming Paintbox one for sensitive/dry skin, although I'm out of my sample and right now using the St. Ives apricot kind) with my Clarisonic. Then a Peter Thomas Roth Unwrinkle Peel pad, followed by Urban Decay b6 prep spray, Clinque Laser Focus, Laser Focus eye cream, Josie Maran Argan Milk, Clinique Moisture Surge Intense, Urban Decay Illuminating beauty balm, and foundation primer (still trying to pick a favorite; I have like three deluxe-size samples I keep waffling between). Then makeup. At night: I use an oil-based cleanser (usually Josie Maran argan oil cleanser, but right now I have some of the Julep kind) and Burt's Bees peach makeup remover cloths (helps with eye makeup), then moisturize.

 

I realize this is a lot of crap. I might be a tiny bit obsessive on this point.

 

86. Is there anything you would like from Salem MA (mugs, keychains, postcards, etc.or witchy supplies like incense, candles, books)?

 

I would love Salem goodies! Mugs and postcards would be lovely, as would witchy supplies. I have a lot of incense, but I'm always looking for unscented candles in various colors, and books. I believe all the books in my witchy library are in my Goodreads for reference.

 

87. Would you be interested in any of the items in LisaNut's etsy shop? Her scarves are very pretty.
