Ravenclaw, but I echo Em-'s sentiments on this one. At the moment, I cannot bring myself to wear any of my Harry Potter clothes or display any of my Potter things. I don't even want non-licensed stuff. I just don't want to have anything to do with anything Harry Potter-related right now because JKR's transphobia infuriates me.

It seems like a lot of shops’ Halloween lines have items related to the same standard fandoms, such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus, Disney’s Haunted Mansion, Beetlejuice, Addams Family, etc.  Do any of those (or other ones) particularly resonate with you?  

I love The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, the Addams Family, and The Munsters. I like Beetlejuice, but probably wouldn't want any Beetlejuice-related things. I have mini ornaments of Jack and Zero, Sally, Lock, Shock, and Barrel on my Halloween tree, as well as a huge bulb-like Jack Skellington ornament. I would love an individual Zero ornament! I also have a pumpkin Nightmare Before Christmas tree topper. I'm going to go buy this some time within the next few days as I have a Hallmark store close by, but their other Halloween ornaments this year are disappointing. I think the only other Peanuts Halloween ornament I have features Snoopy wearing a pumpkin costume. My boyfriend and I always try to switch up with movies and shows we watch every year, but The Great Pumpkin is a Halloween tradition for me.

What are your fandoms, if any?

I have many fandoms! I'm a Whovian, although I haven't been happy with the last several seasons of Doctor Who due to the writing (even pre-Chibnall). iZombie and Orphan Black are done, but I loved those shows. I love The Great British Baking Show. I'm a big fan of Studio Ghibli, and some of my favorites are My Neighbor Totoro, Whisper of the Heart, Grave of the Fireflies (10/10 but would not see again because it is the most depressing movie ever -- we went in knowing nothing beforehand during Fathom Events' Ghibli Fest one year, and everyone in the theater was sobbing afterwards), and Howl's Moving Castle. I've been super into anime over the past year, and some of my favorites include xxxHolic (I'm now reading the manga), Fruits Basket (2019), Fairy Tail (it's a comfort shonen that may not have the best writing, but I love many of the characters -- I'm reading the sequel manga, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest), YuYu Hakusho, Azumanga Daioh... I could go on! I recently watched Shojo Revolutionary Girl Utena, and I still can't get over how amazing the music from that anime is! I'm currently watching and enjoying Bleach and Ruroni Kenshin.

I have The Nightmare Before Christmas tarot deck and The Shadowspaces tarot deck. I'm content with the decks I have for now, but I wouldn't say no to a silk tarot bag!

No, thank you! I don't dislike them, but wearable would be preferred, and I just received a really lovely amethyst bracelet from the amazing HerbGirl and do not wear jewelry often enough to warrant another item like this.

 

My mom has an etsy store - she makes bags.  Do you love anything from it?  We can also do box bags, draw string bags, dice bags, etc. and if you want a different type of material or a different fabric pattern, I'm open to links to specific things.   (yes, we have harry potter things.  We bought most of it before JKR showed herself to be a twat since we buy lots of bolts at the same time - yes, we have a whole room stuffed full of fabric.)

* What type of yarn would you prefer?  ("wool", BFL, merino, merino/silk, merino/silk/cashmere, merino/cashmere, just silk, just cashmere, tencel (non-animal, plant based), other?   I also have non-dyed organic wool (mill spun) from our own sheep - finnsheep and shetland.  The finnsheep is dark brown (sun bleached black sheep from Sarge and our two black ewes we can't tell apart so they're ewe 1 and ewe 2) or a lighter silvery beige (from freckles) and the shetland is white.  (we just call her shetland.  They're mom's sheep, she should have named them, lol.)  Most of my stripy yarn is either merino or merino cashmere.) No preference!

It varies. I'd say 5.5, but it depends on the width of the shoe... sometimes I have to size up even if the shoe is too big for me because 5 or 5.5 is not wide enough. I dread going shoe shopping and would not like to receive shoes, but socks, even if they are technically too big for my shoe size, are appreciated. My grandmother was Okinawan, and I inherited small feet and a shuffle walk from her.

Shipping directly from a vendor to me is fine, but you may want to ask someone to poke me to check the mail. I do not check it every day.

Face masks are appreciated! I prefer a pleated shape. I have a small nose, so the other shape doesn't have a good fit and falls off easily unless there is a wire in the nose part to make it fit better. (Note: I already have all of the face mask and glove sets from Voltaire's webshop and one from his society6 store.)

 

I have a literal stockpile of skincare products.  Can I interest you in cleanser, sheet masks, moisturizer, sample things etc etc.?  Or a general pampering package? What is your skin type?

I'd be potentially interested in some moisturizer samples, provided they are from cruelty-free companies. I have combination skin but it leans more towards dry than oily because I do not sweat on my face.

After watching Fruits Basket (2019), Fruits Basket (2001), and the 2019 version again, I'd really love to start reading the manga, but the first volume of the collector's edition is out of stock on Amazon. My cat is a very picky eater and has to have his treats and food changed up every month because he gets tired of eating the same things. He does not like salmon or shrimp treats and seems to do well with Orijen and Purebites. One quirk he has is that, after his brother passed away, he became a social eater and likes to be petted while he is eating. He will wake me up in the middle of the night to do this.

If you mentioned aversions to any common Halloween decor items (skeletons, witches, spiders, etc.), how encompassing is that? Specifically, is a "kid friendly" drawing of that same item on a piece of decor (like, a book cover or wrapping paper) still a preferred pass? 

If it's something like a kid-friendly spider on a window cling, I'll allow it, but for the most part, I veto every Halloween thing I see online or at the store with a spider on it.  

 

Would you be interested in receiving a never-used eyeshadow palette from Nororiously Morbid (gothy colors) and/or a never-used eyeshadow palette from Pretty Vulgar (romantic neutrals)?

No, thank you! I rarely wear make-up (I didn't even wear it to the Voltaire show because I couldn't find my main make-up bag since I haven't worn any since February 2020  ), so while I would be okay with a standalone shadow, a palette would not get much use by me and would be better suited for another person.

I live in Japan. Are you interested in anything specifically Japanese I could get for you here (doesn't necessarily have to be Halloween themed)? For example, are you a fan of the anime Demon Slayer and want merch? Are you interested in trying some fun kit-kat flavors? Do you need a new set of pretty chopsticks?

I would love merch from any of my favorite anime, I'm always down for Japanese snacks -- I know I listed a ton either on my questionnaire or in my answers, but in addition to trying to try as many Pocky, Pejoy, and Pretz flavors as possible, I also really love Okinawan matcha Chinsuko. I always enjoy trying the different Kit Kat flavors. Some of the Kit Kat flavors I already have or have tried are: Cherry Blossom, Cherry Blossom Sake, Hojicha, Matcha, Yuzu Matcha, Strawberry Tiramisu, Red Bean Bun, and the White Chocolate ones. We have a lot of chopsticks, but I wouldn't say no to another cute pair.

I love all socks! Knee-high are my favorite, but I also appreciate ankle socks, crew socks, thigh-highs, fuzzy socks, slipper socks... no preference on fibers.

 

Do you have a favorite candy(ies) [or prepacked individual snacks] that you wouldn't mind filling up your box as packing material? Or teas/coffee blends you'd enjoy? If you prefer none of this, that's fine too! 

I love candy, but any of the candy I would enjoy for this purpose would either be cost-prohibitive (comes in small packages, like cola and ramune Hi-Chews) or would melt (fun-size candy bars).

I grow mugwort and it's harvest season. Would you like dried leaves for bathing or tea? Or a bound bundle for smoke cleansing? (Its said to be excellent for divination or lucid dreaming, but do not use if pregnant.)  its also a digestive bitter and tastes great on chicken.

I enjoy mugwort in perfume, like in BPAL's Hypnotize Me, but I haven't experienced it in another way! I would be down to try mugwort tea or maybe a sachet of mugwort.  

 

I grow loads of other herbs and I'm drying them now. Any favorites you might like? Mint, basil, oregano, chives, lemon balm or others?

White, green, and herbal teas. I don't like smoky teas, anything like licorice (anise, licorice root, fennel), or teas that are heavy on the rooibos or hibiscus.

No, thank you. I'm on continuous birth control because I'm anemic and can't afford to be having periods right now. (Although my body seems to be trying to have one anyways )

Bath and Body Works? I know this is a bit of a love em or hate em company, but I really love their foaming hand soaps and scented hand sanitizers and my kids like their body wash, so I'll be placing an order with the next good sale. Anything that catches your eye?

I'm normally indies only, I could use pocketbac hand sanitizer for my Globlin hand sanitizer dispenser, and I keep hearing good things about the Pumpkin Carving candle and have never had a three-wick candle and would like to give one a try.

How do you feel about sniffies? (Empty bottles or imps you can sniff but not enough to apply)

If they're wishlist items, I'd be happy to have them, but otherwise, I don't have the space for them! (I just gave away a bunch of OCYL bottles, partials, and decants because I had run out of space in my swap box.)
