Odd ball idea – ribbons.  I’ve read that they make gorgeous ribbons with woven patterns made on very old looms.  A piece of ribbon for a lovely bookmark.

Do you like reading comics? If you haven't really read 'em, would you be interested in receiving a few that match your book genre preferences? I prefer the graphic novel format, but I don't read many comics these days. Best choice would be something Star Trek related.

 

I'm headed to Puerto Rico in July - anything particularly interesting you would like from there? Yes!  Spices with recipes (as long as vegetarian).  I don't really know enough to suggest anything else.  If you wander a beach & find beach glass, that would be cool.  

 

Would you be interested in receiving a small bottle of home infused whiskey aged from commercially produced moonshine? Any particular flavors you might enjoy (examples include orange chai or cinnamon chocolate or hot peppers)? Sure!  Orange chai (especially with cardamom) or cinnamon chocolate sound lovely.  Not so much for the chilis.

 

Would you be interested in homemade shortbread that fits your flavor preferences? Crispy shortbread is my favorite cookie on Earth - all sorts of flavors.

If your bday is during the swap, how are you planning to celebrate? My Birthday is August 12, so yes it is  during the swap.  I have not decided what I want to do yet on the actual day, but on the Saturday (8/13) I will be in a massive, nearly commercial kitchen with my besties doing what we call Canning Palooza doing big batch canning for 4 households.  Tomatoes & pickles are the main themes.

 

Likewise, how do you celebrate relevant spiritual holidays in this time period?  Observing the seasons & progression of things in my garden.  Bonfires in my newly built fire pit.

 

Anything you want from the UK?  TEA!!! In some prior Switch Witch, I was introduced to the fun blends from Bird & Blend in particular.

Are you interested in skincare/shampoo/conditioner?  I am seeking the definitive hand cream, bonus if it's good for nails too.

 

Are you interested in tights? If so, what thickness, style, and size?  I love tights.  Not sure I've seen different thicknesses of them, I guess mine are average weight & opaque, maybe a little less for the one lacy pair I have.  Sizes are all over the place.  I'm 5'9" & wear an 18-20 or 2X depending on the garment.  Hips are 50"  Style - full foot over footless, not into super brights, but other than that whatever you think is cool or pretty.

 

Do you use tarot decks? Would you like to receive more - and if so, can you list the ones you already have?  I would like to make better friends with the decks I have.  Can you recommend a book or  other resource to learning to read them?

 

What do you think of the art on this website? https://www.printisdead.co.uk/  Oh My!  So many pretty things. I loved the blue Witches Cat & the raven with the full moon.  Some of the tarot ones with the moon are lovely too.

 

Is loose leaf tea good, or do you prefer bagged? Loose is great, bagged is fine too & gets to go along when I have to go into the office.

- If so, colors? I have various weights of wool, sport and dk cotton, cotton thread in 3/2 and 5/2, and light fingering weight bamboo rayon that dyes like a dream

 

Yes I am A total yarn hoar.  That bamboo yarn sounds fantastic and should knit or crochet up lovely.  I love purples, teals, greens, blues,saturated jewel tones are my faves.

My European travels are expanding! Anything you want from Portugal or Berlin???  I don't  know enough about either place to know what to covet.  This said, local spice blends with a recipe are always great souvenirs

Is there anything for your garden or houseplants that you need, or would like (tiny, hand thrown cachepot for a prized astrophytum, etc.), or are you proudly black thumb and shun any plant that isn't resin?  I am a gardener, specializing in weeds, columbines, & unusual berries (currants, gooseberries, saskatoons)

any spices you need/want?  I’m fleshing out a Penzey's order!! I have all the Penzeys, plus a shop I can go to in person.  I love flavored salts though.

 

your feelings on chocolate?  Milk chocolate, Dark chocolate, White chocolate? with or without nuts? How about truffly goodness?  Dark, nuts or truffle are always welcome.  I’m diabetic, so I tend to spread a chocolate bar over a period of days (when I manage to restrict myself)

any interest in Japanese fashion-ish items? (kanzashi hair pins, and other things made form old kimono fabric, fans, tenugui, etc?)

Hair pins are always fun.  Smallish zipper bags with kimono fabric are cool (ie notions bag for various project bags)

Would you use cbd infused bath products? Like for pain /muscle relief?  Or a bath that gets me high?  First one, I’d try it, 2^nd…not so much interested in a bath that gets me high.
 

What colors are your kitchen stuffs? Dark blues & greens, occasional pop of purple. Lots of wood tools - spoons & spatulas & such
 

If I knitted up a scarf/shawl/something in the wearable area what colors would you like and please be pretty specific so I can see if my yarn stash makes this feasible (or if @twilighteyes or @winterblizzard has stash that does and I can barter) k please thanks I love hand knits or crocheted projects that someone made for me.  Dark greens would be wonderful.  My standard colors are Purple, blues, greens, teals with black or grey as my neutrals.  This said, I have very little in the way of greens despite liking them so much.

How close to the final deadline would you prefer to receive your package?  Should we try to squeak as close to August 31st as humanly possible, or would it be okay to send the package earlier?  Well, it does not need to be that close to the end date.  My birthday is a couple of weeks before that, so earlier is just fine.

I am afraid to send chocolate in this heat.  What other things might you enjoy?  TEA!  Especially with flavors to make fun iced tea for summer (berries & fruity flavors as opposed to spicy, chai like flavors).  Coffee is good too.

Gourmet lollipops?  Handmade Marshmallows (not by me LOL)?  Flavored cotton candy? other ideas?  Not so much on these sweets

 

do you have any reservations about wearing leather, like in an accessory?? Nope, I’m a vegetarian, not a vegan.  I used to work in a leather booth at Ren Fest.  I adore leather accessories.

 

So I took a "viking knitting" class (which is really wire weaving) and can now make necklaces and bracelets.  Would you be interested in either one? YES

What color wire would you like?  (silver, gold, copper, blue, purple, yellow, green orange, black, turquoise, pink, so many colors.)   I have THIS PACK among others.

What length would you want (on either or both?)  

What kind of fasteners do you like best (lobster claw, toggle clasp, magnetic?) and color of fasteners?  (silver, gunmetal, copper, gold?)

 - some of the toggle clasps come in cool shapes.

Do you think a larger chunky one like a torc or a slimmer one?  I can draw the wire down to different sizes with my draw plate.

How very cool!  Hell yes, I would love a piece of this kind of work.  Purple or Purple + black or silver. My necklace length is 20 or 22”, nice secure lobster claw clasp (I once lost a beloved necklace that had a toggle clasp). The torc is stunning, but I can’t wear chokers.
