A scarf would probably be wasted on me since it's too hot to wear one here for most of the year. (I wouldn't say no to a dark red Night Circus-esque one to take on vacations to colder climates, though).

Is there anything you might want from Japan? Snacks (autumn flavors are out~), nerdy stuff, cute stuff anything!

I love Japanese Kit Kats, rice crackers, Pocky, Pretz, and am down to try non-fishy snacks. I have been on the lookout for Yokohama Butter Sandwich Cookies (found them once in a konbini here and never again) 🙏 and Okinawan matcha chocolate chip Chinsuko. I don't know what it's called, but I once had a Japanese Hi-Chew-like lemon candy, but it had like, little lemon crystals inside? I am on the lookout for that, too. I love xxxHolic and would die if I received something xxxHolic-related, especially Mokona! Anything CLAMP-related aside from Chobits would be  (but especially xxxHolic or X/1999). I'm into a lot of other anime as well and mentioned some of those fandoms in the enamel pin question... and I have not had any luck finding anything Pompompurin x Sailor Venus in the US.

How do you feel about enamel pins?  If positively, which fandoms or topics would you like?

I love enamel pins! I have a pin board and need to get others, but I typically wear them on my button-up work shirts as long as there is more than one prong on the pin. (If not, then it doesn't really stay put very well on a shirt and has to go to be pin board only.) Here are some fandoms that I like: Doctor Who, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Fruits Basket (I have a few fan-made pins), Studio Ghibli (I currently have soot sprite and Haku pins from Spirited Away, but no other Ghibli pins), Alice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh, Our Flag Means Death, What We Do in the Shadows, Good Omens (I have two sets of Good Omens lapel pins). If I didn't note having any pins for a particular fandom, it is because I currently do not! I also have the Ectogasm bat lapel pins from last year's Halloween swap and tons of pins from The Pickety Witch. 

 

I'm into anime, and I think the only non-Fruits Basket anime-related pin that I own is Luna from Sailor Moon in a witch hat. Some of my favorite anime (aside from Fruits Basket) are xxxHolic, Ouran High School Host Club, Revolutionary Girl Utena, and I'm currently loving NANA and the new Bleach arc.

I make lightweight hairfalls, the kind that can be attached to a pony  tail or to pig tails. They are good for those of us that are more tender-headed. I use a variety of materials like shibori ribbon, and puffy yarns and pieces of lace and silk. You can use them for every day or as part of your Weenie costume. Is this of interest to you? If so tell me what length, what color(s) and if you want one for a pony tail or two for pig tails.

During my recent travels I got to experience the incredible delight of Serge Luten perfumers here in Paris (imagine if the Lab and Anna Sui made babies inside a Cadbury Cream Egg decorated with stained glass windows and...you've come close to the experience of being in that shop). I always enjoy stickers and washi tape as I like to decorate swap packages with them. Since I'm a double Taurus, you can't go wrong with snacks! Sprinkles would be welcome as well as kitchen stuff.

I would say Brew Tea Bar, as that's the best tea spot in my city, and I'm there every other day and will likely be there every day once their pumpkin chai tea comes out next week. (They infuse real pumpkin and spices into the cream cheese on top.) But it doesn't look like they have gift cards available online.  

And the Matcha Cafe Maiko (matchalv.com) we have here is rebranding to Urban Matcha and is currently closed for a few weeks and are revamping their website, so I don't even know if they have gift cards for purchase online.

Then I was going to say Sorry Not Sorry Creamery, a local Vegas ice cream spot, but they don't have online gift cards either.

So perhaps Salt and Straw? They have online gift cards and unique ice cream flavors. I just had their pumpkin-spiced tiramisu last night and adore their honey lavender ice cream.

We watch Halloween cartoons and movies leading up to Halloween, but mostly cartoons. It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is a must every year.

 

I have a Halloween tree and have decorated it for the past few years, but my cat Haru is a force of destruction and knocked the tree down several times last year and broke some of my Nightmare Before Christmas ornaments... so no tree this year.

Wool & related blends? ( I never use scratchy wool for arm warmers.) I think so!

I also do coiled & sewn rope work- it's functional art I wrap the rope in fabric & add appliques.  I just had my first art show with these- bowls, trivets ( that can hang on the wall when not in use), coasters.  Is this something you'd  like ? 

I cannot really envision this... I love handmade things, though! Is there no dangling rope? Because I feel like that would just tempt Haru, who can somehow jump really high.

I LOVE cherry. I don't know why I didn't think to list it as a favorite flavor. White or green cherry tea, cherry jams or preserves, cocktail cherries, or cherries that can be used for baking would be great (just no pre-made baking mixes... I bake everything from scratch).

I have never tried any flavored oils or vinegars, but I'd be down to try the flavored oils! Whatever would be great with roasted vegetables or salmon...

I use Spotify Premium. I am down to listen to music recommendations and tend to listen to music that has been recommended to me on my days in the office. HOWEVER... I am picky with music and aside from 80s stuff, tend to listen to some obscure stuff. I feel bad when someone is excited to show me music and I shoot down song after song.

Pls no gore or spiders. (But a cute spider with like, a happy face, is not a deal breaker on something with the main focus not being a spider.)

These candles look cute, and I'm also down for wax melts, although I wasn't able to find any scent descriptions.  

 

It's also that time of year where I make handmade soap (usually with calendula infused olive oil, tallow, oatmeal and honey) and candles (feel free to specify color and size, I don't usually scent them, but I do have a clover and apple scent I've been wanting to play with). I can also annoint and dress candles with TALs and herbs. Any interest?

Olive oil or oatmeal and honey soaps sound nice, as do candles, and I'm fine with anointed candles as well (I dabble).

 

I also grow herbs which can be culinary or magical. I'd be happy to prepare a smudge or dry some herbs for your enjoyment. I currently have oregano (yellow and standard), mugwort, thyme, sage (purple or garden), tea peppermint, chives, lovage, plantain, comfrey, raspberry leaf, and yarrow. I'm probably forgetting something.

I wouldn't mind culinary herbs! Oregano, mugwort, sage, thyme, and peppermint would be good. I am not averse to the others... I'm just not super familiar with them!

 

I also make salves! My go to in an arnica, calendula and comfrey mix for healing wounds or chapped skin. This can also be used on pet paws. We do have barely enough time that I could do a custom infusion.

I have perpetually dry skin thanks to living in the desert and am down for a salve!

Haru loves treats. He has only had Orijen ones (original and tundra, I think). He is a little chonky, though (his annual check up this past weekend put him at 17 pounds... but he's not a small cat as far as his length/frame go).

I am very picky with mugs. I have a lot of them, so I have to be strict with allowing more into my cupboard due to space. That said, there are a few that I have been eyeing: a Depeche Mode meme mug on my Etsy wishlist, the white pumpkin mug from Anthropologie, and this style of ghost mug (lots of places have their own versions of this -- I missed out on the most quality one that was either from Pottery Barn or Williams Sonoma, as they didn't have it in store. I would only be interested in a version with the ghost going  and not a happy face ghost).

I would be interested in any of these, decants or bottles, buuuut I don't reach for my NAVA oils too often and find a lot of their scents to be too similar, so perhaps decants would be best if anything? How do you feel about Squishmallows and Squishables? (They have mini and micro sizes for those who like cute plushies but don't have a lot of space.)

They are so cute! I like the tiny Squishmallows that turned inside out (I didn't let myself buy the owl in a vampire cape and he's no longer in stock at my store), and for the Squishables, I like the micro size due to space. I have a few of the tiny Squishmallows that turn inside out into a different squishie from last year. From Squishables, I have the normal size Plague Doctor and the micro Luna Moth (who has been named Plink!).

 

Would you wear enamel pins with chains that are meant to be put on lapels? (Something like this.)

Yes! I have a two sets of Good Omens pins like this and the bat lapel pins from Ectogasm.

 

Speaking of enamel pins... The Pickety Witch's Autumn and Halloween collection just dropped. Has anything caught your eye?

I like Jiji's First Halloween (but it's currently sold out). I don't care for the rest of this year's offerings and already have the ones I like that are not new to this year.

 

I used to make mobiles out of paper cranes, would you appreciate something like this? if so, what size restrictions do you have, if any? ie., should it take up less space vertically or horizontally? color palette preference? 

While I think this would be neat, it would be an unresistable temptation for my younger cat, Haru.

So Witchee mine, are you a spellworker? - any interest  in acorns from a tree known as The Mother Oak at my Ren Fest grounds.  It is the biggest tree I've ever seen in MI.  It is cared for by tree scientists  from MSU.  It is the mom to every other oak on the grounds.   Saturday is Mabon & I will go & gather acorns before the park opens to patrons as I do each year.  But this time it's  actual Mabon.  So Witchee dearest, would you like some?

From previous questions you've answered, I know a lot about the teas you'd like from specific places, but I want to know your more general tea preferences.

 

Black, green, white, rooibos, oolong, herbal?

My preference is for white, green, and herbal teas, preferably flavored ones or ones with stuff like fruit pieces and flowers in them over plain ol' tea leaves.

Oolongs and black teas are okay in moderation.

Barley tea is good, too.

Pls no: anise, mushrooms, pu-ehr, or smoky teas (I do not consider hojicha to be smoky... more toasty).

 

Japan is particularly big on their green tea and hojicha (roasted green tea), any interest?

I enjoy these and have some already but wouldn't say no to more. I like using matcha for baking and I love hojicha even more than matcha (and have some powder to try to incorporate into shortbread, but I haven't tried doing that yet). The only Japanese green tea that I am not a fan of, to my knowledge, is kukicha.

 

My partner has given me an extraordinary amount of rooibos from South Africa. It's amazing and I'd like to share, so would you like some?

I used to hate rooibos. Now I like some varieties, but they have to be flavored. I cannot do straight up rooibos, alas.
