Black patchouli, apple pulp, and apple blossom. In the bottle: delicious red juicy apple and apple blossom On skin: Apple! Glorious apple and apple blossom Dry down : oh oh my. The black patchouli is just barely there, lingering in the back ground, like a sexy skimpy black dress on the juicy apple note making turning into a very sophisticated and elegant apple. Ladies and gentlemen, I believe I now have a HG apple scent. Will definitely be ordering multiple backups of this!

2014 version-- this on me smells like a spicier Snake Oil. After three or four hours the honey starts to peak out a bit, but overall remains a husky, spicier Snake Oil. Good throw and lasted all day. I'm curious how the honey will come out as it ages.

Rappaccini's Greenhouse Atmospheric Spray v2
OpheliasVengeance replied to alicia_stardust's topic in Atmosphere
I was frimped this in my Halloweenie BPTP order. I love it! It's soft, fresh and green without any grass notes. It reminds me of a greenhouse in late spring, just before the full bloom of summer when there's still a slight, wet chill to the air. I love it and hope this is eventually released. -
The apple cider is the first to strongly peak its head when I spray. The cider stays strong, and like the other reviewers have said, stays bright. It reminds me of the store at the pumpkin patch. Lots of apple cider goodness with a whiff of the hay faintly in the background and a mishmash of fall sweets to balance out the rest.

This scent is like it was made just for my skin chemistry. I've never tried a black musk scent before, but the musk, the incense, and sandalwood balance out the iris and ylang-ylang (which my chemistry would normally amp the nth degree). This combination creates a perfect scent that screams to be worn when sauntering out at night.

All the depth, beauty, and darkness of All Hallows Eve. Truly, the scent of autumn itself -- damp woods, fir needle and black patchouli with the gentlest touches of warm pumpkin, clove, nutmeg, allspice, sweet red apple and mullein. Samhain '08 Ah! This is what I had wished last year's October to be. In the bottle: spices with a hint of smoke Wet: the spices and the smoke mingle and there is a leaf note that also takes hold Dry down: Fall leaves swaying in spicy smoke A great Autumn scent! It reminds me of hanging around the open fire on a fall night, waiting to embark on a haunted walk into the woods.

In the bottle: mulled apple cider Wet: apple mixes with smoke and spices linger faintly in the background After the dry down: the apple fades to a whisper as the spices come to the surface and mingle with smoke 10 minutes after dry down: hello spices! the apple and the smoke are just barely in the background as the spices take strong hold This scent is the first that has made me seriously consider getting a scent locket. Usually my skin very nicely stages the apple notes, but the spice notes in this scent refuse to play well with others and have beaten them into submission. I might try this scent again in a few weeks to see if my hormone cycle is playing any part in this.

FAEU BOULANGER I thought this was an effect of bioluminescence, but it seems there is no source. Could it truly be a soul trapped within this glass dome? Impossible. Mushroom gases, swamp mist, green mint, and bog violet. I'm so glad I went with my instinct on this one! I just knew mushroom gases would not be like the mushroom country smell back at home, but most likely a soft earth scent. In it's first stage I get an earthy violet note pierced by mint notes. The dry down is simply gorgeous. The mint fades into the background, supporting the earthy aquatic notes that mix beautifully with light violet notes. I'm not a floral person, as they tend to be amplified to ridiculous degrees when on my skin. The violet in this not overpowering and just melds so beautifully with all of the other notes.

This smelt like boozy chocolate covered cherries when in the bottle. Sadly, as soon as it hit my skin it turned to cherry-grape kool aid.

This smelt like deliciously warm gingerbread during the wet stage before drying down into a softer version of Shub on me. Unfortunately the length is fairly short, the only thing that is keeping me from purchasing a bottle.

I have been using this before mediation, anointing my crown, third eye, heart, and root chakras in addition to my feet. I found that it worked quite effectively in helping to keep my daydreaming brain focused while in a meditative state. I second oedipa's statement that visualizations were much easier and more vivid. Lately, I have been using White Light to help keep the daily crap off so I can be more focused and less burdened, but I think I might trying using this in conjunction with it.

This is slightly spicy in the bottle with cocoa notes poking out. In the wet stage the cocoa is still dancing around with the spice notes. Upon dry down, Hello super spicy goodness! I get none of the cream or food notes that others have commented on. The cocoa disappears into just pure raging varied spice notes. *love* The throw is about average.

In the bottle: I get an herbal, caramel scent. On the skin: This morphs so beautifully on me. For the first ten minutes, the herbal and caramel notes are fighting for dominance. After about half an hour, this dries down to a gorgeous scent on me. The sage, white musk, and mint are softly balanced by the smallest hint of caramel with a kiss of tobacco and dark musk to anchor it down. It's a soft, sexy scent on me. I'm quite surprised as my skin amps sweet notes to the point where they usually overthrow all other notes. Thankfully, this blend cooperates with my skin.
