this was very very clean smelling in the imp and on my skin. vodka, and very soft mint/lime with a bit of sweetness from the iris. it had good staying power on me, and as it aged the iris got more and more pronounced. stayed very clean, tho, not overly floral. it's very nice, but...cleaner (and not as crisp) as i'd hoped.

this was very, very fruity on me. sweet fruity- i didn't get any of the sharpness others have mentioned, even tho orange blossom has a tendency to go sharp on me. in fact, this was fairly similar to jailbait on me. jailbait with less bubblegum. weird.

BPAL scents appropriate for very young children?

my 2 y/o son loves bpal, too! i haven't actually put it on him yet (he hasn't asked) but he loves to sniff the imps and will spend a good while having me open every imp in the box for him to sniff...twice now i want to try some on him...maybe just a dab on his clothes...an excuse for more bpal! -
WORD. unusually for me, i didn't read the notes or reviews before i tried this one. it smelled a bit masculine in the imp, but then it blossomed into orange gingerbread...and, as Uploaded Lobster said, a sibling, maybe even a twin, of shub. i am so, so happy today

i finally tried samhain in the imp it is gorgeous- all autumn and apples and light spice! on me it goes rather candle-ish. i seem to have very picky skin still, this one has THROW...which is quite unusual for me! i don't have to hold my arm up to my nose to smell it! now if only i could get this with a blend i *really really* liked...

sadly, i didn't get any minty notes from this- i was so hopeful! i did get some "green", tho...but on my skin it turned to soapy rose so sad, as i can really see the delicate beauty of this blend...

this is amazing. i haven't tried it for travel, but it really feels incredibley calming and centering...like standing with my feet way, way down in the earth. beautiful lavender. kind of wise woman scent to me. very excellent.
-
i really, really like this one in the imp and while it lasts on my skin. sadly, i'm a citrus scent eater, and detox is no excpetion...it's gone within 10 minutes, fled without a trace. i plan to try it in my scent locket, cause i just can't let it go!

i'm on the fence about moxie. i love the theory, and i like the way it smells in the bottle, but it becomes a kind of baby powder orange juice on my skin. possibly as a result of this scent transformation, i don't get a lot of moxie when i wear it. but i keep trying!
-
in the imp i get soft lavender and some green, citrus scents. on, i get pretty strong....lemongrass? i've never smelled lemon balm, so i don't know if it could be that, but really seems very lemongrassy on me! probably a good thing, as my dh claims to dislike lavender and i've been wearing this to bed and i must say, it's very impressive! even if i feel that i might have too much on my mind to fall asleep quickly, i seem to...fall asleep quickly. cool!!

i wasn't too keen on this monster bait. i just ordered an imp with my decants to keep underbed company. berries and i don't get along (in perfume form, anyway!). when it arrived, tho...dayum! so glad i got it! LOVE it right out of the imp- berries and frosting goodness! just a hint of cake, but SO yum. drool, drool. clearly getting a bottle. on: ack! who replaced my berries with BO? again! why, why?? i smell like cake that's been on a LONG back country trip in the summer. in the scent locket: nice. i had shub in the locket right before i put closet in, and closet isn't really standing up to shub all that well...mostly i smell delicious spices with a hint of frosting and berries. but no BO! so that's a mercy... verdict: none just yet. requires more locket testing, but a bottle is likely! it's just SO pretty and smacktaclulare before my skin chemistry messes with it!

i was super excited about this monster bait- sounded SO good, many of my favorite notes! in the imp it was just kinda "eh". not too excited, but certainly not BAD. some cassia, some coconut, some cake (tho very mild). on my skin: O.M.G. burning chemicals. melting plastic? somethin' awful, anyway. i don't even get burnt FOOD from this, just horrid chemical doom.

this smelled fabulous in the imp- rosey and soft, and so clearly a WHITE rose! really cool. the first 30 seconds or so it was on my skin it just got better- soft resins made the rose deeper and sweeter and more mysterious. then it got a little soapy...but nothing to worry about...and then it turned to pickles. roses and pickles. naughty skin chemistry....

i like night's pavilion. it's a light, white floral on me...somewhat aquatic, as others have mentioned. it's clean without being soapy, and floral without any heaviness or headacheness. very well balanced and crisp...i see this as an everyday perfume, as it seems to go well with so many occasions/moods/events. it does fade a bit quickly, but as my skin eats most scents this is normal for me. sigh! overall, happy thumbs up!

grapeyness. grape gum? with something antiseptic, probably the rosemary, maybe the lemon peel. i dunno... on: skin is amping up the grape gum smell like mad. that plus the antiseptic smells kinda like a porta potty. i feel kind queasy. 5 min later: so much stronger! ack! too bad, the notes sounded really cool in this one...my skin just hates it! off to swaps...

is it really odd that i don't get any lavender from this? i get some musk, some resin and SOME kind of floral...but nothing that i recognize as lavender. kinda reminds me of a LUSH store. it's nice, but not overwhelming.
-
in the vial this smells so good i almost start drooling. seriously. i am in love! but i know my skin HATES foody scents, so i proceed with caution. at first blush things are going well with mitzvah...but then...not so well. kinda dusty, like most foody scents. and really, dusty food isn't that appetizing! well, i'm bummed i can't wear it on my skin, but thank goodness for scent lockets! this is SO lovely, i think i'd cry if i couldn't wear it at all!

this one amazed and saddned me. the review were everything i was looking for in a midwinter perfume. the reality was horrible- strong, headachey, cheap male cologne. skin chemistry...

oh, this is lovely! jasmine dominates on me, but it's not a headache inducing jasmine...it's soft, grounded by the herbs and wood. i do wish i smelled MORE of the herbs/wood/fruit, but they all come together in a unique jasmine blend. very pleased!

my confessions: 1. i love lavender, but rarely wear it- the boy doesn't care for it. 2. i always think i'll love orange blossoms, but don't. 3. same with herbs. but, as soon as i saw the description for this one, i got all excited, and ordered an imp. oddly enough, i love it. it smells like lemons and sage and a touch of lavender...it smells like my home and makes me so happy! it's clean without being soapy, lemony without any furniature polish, and all chapparal and dust and sunshine feminine. did i mention that i love it? this'll probably be a big bottle
-
in the bottle i smell caramel, but not overwhelmingly. i also smell a touch of coconut, and the black currant. fruity caramel! yum. for the first 30 min or so i really dig this...it's pretty, it's "grown up", it's a night out. i get a touch of amber, no real tobacco, the currant, and a hint of coconut. no spices, either. but it's lovely! then it turns slightly soapy, and then becomes commercially "perfumey". why, why??? i'm going to age it and keep trying, cause it's just too pretty to give up on quickly!

definitly chocolate oranges, right out of the bottle! as it dries it takes on a very candyish smell on me...kind of like a candy necklace, actually! very light and sweet. something about it smells "english" to me, too, no idea why. in terms of colors this is a light purple and orange scent. i like it...not sure that i love it, or if i will come to...
-
in the bottle: oh ick!! really?? medicinal and sharp and just plain not pretty. but i perservered, and put it on. it softened right away, thankfully! the amber came out and i think i've finally realized that amber and i don't really get along. within five minutes, however, the amber had faded and the florals were out, along with some honey. when everything settled down, i had a lovely, creamy floral (mainly tuberose) over a base of incense. very pretty and exotic...but i'm not sure it's very "me"- not a scent that really melds with my skin.

in the vial this smells like candied roses to me. i think i'm getting the grenadine side of the pomegranate. hmm. on the skin i get the juicy roses very breifly...and then they turn soapy. curses! foiled by one of the random soapy roses!

lily is one of those hostile takeover notes on me. however, i had high hopes for moscow, since it has some of my very favorite things (rose, tangerine). my skin chemistry, however, continues to foil me: pure lily it was. very strong, with good throw, however!
