Battle Fairy in Training Lilith loves her kung fu classes. She loves her sifu, she loves the exercises, she loves practicing her forms. (She’s alright with the meditation aspect, but let’s be real: she’s a kid, and would rather be doing somersaults.) This year, she attained her blue belt, and this scent was created to commemorate her achievement. Baby, I am so proud of you. You worked so hard, and it paid off. I am always, always proud of you. This Battle Fairy smells like blue cotton candy, strawberries, a plop of vanilla icing and a bit of crushed peppermint candy. To me, this is all sweet, delicious strawberries! When it goes on wet, I get initial hints of mint and cotton candy, but that only lasts a few seconds. After that, it's just sweet sugary strawberry all day long! It reminds me quite a bit of the strawberry jelly note in Strawberry Sufganiyot. If you're a fan of that one, you should give this a try! I'm glad I have a bottle!

Mandarin, lime, red currant, black tea, ginger. Pretty and fruity in the bottle. Bland and fruity on my skin...almost like shampoo. Rats! I'm sure this will be really nice on the right person.

Diligent Instruction for the Bridal Night
livingdead71 replied to SadariEvenstar's topic in Lupercalia
Sugar dusted strawberries and mallow blossoms. This was my favorite Luper this year! I got a sugary floral strawberry most of the day, then a strawberry candy phase, and finally late at night, I noticed my wrists smelled like sweet vanilla sugar! This is fantastic from start to finish, great throw and long lasting! ❤️ -
This is a lovely, long lasting foodie scent! I get all of the notes listed here, with honey as the star of the show! I think I amp honey though, so it may not be the same with other skin chemistries. Even though it's in the same scent family as Eat Me and Crumpet Rebellion, it stands out on its own, and I'm glad to add a bottle to my collection!

This is primarily a marshmallow and cream scent on me. I do get a backdrop of fruity candy and jelly notes, but not the intense strawberry blast of Battle Fairy. I wore this to work yesterday and mostly kept smelling marshmallows, but by the end of the day was left with a lovely cream scent on my wrists. I'm anxious to see how this one ages! Try this if you like Marshmallow Poof, Plastic Pink Flamingo, or Youth's Disengagement.

Gingerbread Jolly Roger

I love this one! The leather and aquatic notes dominate when wet, and I was initially worried it might be a bit too masculine. It really smelled to me like a high end men's cologne at that point, and I didn't know if I could get away with it or if I should pass it to my husband. However, it dries down to a much softer scent of mostly gingerbread woods with the leather more in the background...and it's gorgeous! So yes, I will be keeping this for myself! -
This was my only bottle purchase on Black Friday, and I think I chose wisely! It reminds me of either Autumn Cider or Fearful Pleasure combined with Hot Buttered Rum. The cider scents usually burn my skin with the spices, but I'm happy to say this one doesn't! It's just a perfect mix of cider, buttercream, and cake. It also has a nice throw and lasted on me all day. I love this one and am happy to have a bottle!

I would also describe this as soft, minty, and Snow White-ish. It's really beautiful and I'm happy to have a bottle!

Ok, this is the patchouli that works on me. The Sumatran Red does not. It's super smoky in the imp. Wet on the skin, I recognize it as that smooth, dark note that blends really well with sweet notes that I love. I'm not always great at picking out notes, but I think this is the patchouli used in two favorites of mine, Haute Macabre and Goblin Sack. This is becoming very cola like on my skin as it dries. I will definitely treasure my imp, and might even track down a bottle.

I like this a lot! Having discovered fairly recently that I love both black musk and ambergris, I notice those notes here just as much as the woodsy ones. This is a very pretty scent. I'm going to test my imp a few more times, but this one might become a bottle upgrade.

I really love this! Chocolate perfumes almost never work on me, no matter how good they smell in the bottle. This way I can enjoy the chocolately goodness without my skin ruining it. My daughter loves it too. When I spray the room, she says "do it again!" I'm now sorely tempted to get a Bliss candle...

I'm wearing Snow White to celebrate Mother's Day. It's one of my favorites and makes me happy! ...I just reminded myself with this post that I have a bottle of Spanish Moss for my mom today. Sweet!

Another amazing SN! I got three lovely stages of scent with this oil. First lemony, then aquatic - it really smells like the ocean at this point!, and finally it dries down to a beautiful, sweet musk. Again, I'm glad I took a chance on a bottle of this one! I said this about French Tobacco and I'll say it again...if you have the slightest interest in this, grab a bottle while you can or you will regret it!

In the bottle and on the skin, the note that stands out most is a gorgeous, soft leather. As time goes by, I start noticing the almond more and more. Of all the notes listed, leather and almond are the only two I can really say I notice. The others are blended seamlessly in the background. As Mellifluous mentioned, it dries down to a creamier, sweeter leather, which is probably at least partly influenced by the vanilla. Overall, I love this scent! I can't say I have any other beautiful leathery almond scents in my collection. I might even go for a back up when they become available again. Also, it lasts forever and a day!

I'm wearing Ides of March 2010 today. I always forget how awesome this scent is! I should really wear it more often.

In the bottle, I get a pretty mix of coconut, balsam, and lemongrass. On the skin, it starts out mostly an interesting blend of balsam and lemongrass. However, I tend to amp lemongrass, so for a long time that note stamps out everything else in a loud, screeching manner. Much later, I get a soft coconut and maybe some vanilla orchid. I like the beginning and end stages, but I don't think it's ultimately worth the lemongrass stampede.

I almost didn't order this because I wasn't a big fan of the first one, but this is a very different scent. I get mostly lunar herbs and fruit in the bottle. Immediately on the skin, I get the snow note mentioned by yeahbutnobut, which is a big surprise! It's oddly reminiscent of Before the Snowy Window at this point, with the whole snow covered cherry blossoms vibe. The dominating snow note lasts for a long time on me, then it dries down to a pretty, fruity scent. I also get the comparison to Aizen Myoo on dry down especially. I actually like this scent quite a bit, and think I will enjoy wearing it in the Spring. I'm glad I took a chance on a bottle!

My bottle seems pretty sludgeless...I don't get much chocolate from this scent either, for that matter. In the bottle and on my skin, I get mostly lemon cream and soft white rose. This is a beautiful scent and my favorite 2013 Luper so far!
