This one smells almost exactly like The Clod and the Pebble on me, which is interesting given the cedar note of The Clod. But yeah, pretty much exactly the same--rose and cedar.

#519, previously reviewed by marared: Very light colored oil, no layers. When I put it on, it's a blast of grassy greenery and berry, kind of like Rosalind but with a fruitier berry. As it dries down, it gets a baby powder edge to it. It's nice, and my husband says it's a keeper

Slightly warm and sweet, with an almost fruited note underneath. Like standing on a sunny beach with an orange in your hand, peeling the orange and eating it, and just feeling the warmth, the sunniness, and the sandiness. But you don't smell the orange very well; it's just a subtle fruitiness underneath the sun and sand you're smelling. It's a very round, smooth blend to me and it's in the family of desert/sand scents. But rather than a desolate, sandblasted desert, it's more like a calm, deserted beach somewhere near your house that you can sneak away to and enjoy.

I was so excited to try this, having heard the comparisons to Snow White and all that. Sadly, they are not at all similar on me. I get coconut/fruity soap, heavier on the fruity I like the prototype version much, much better.

Chaos Theory V: Recursive Self-Similarity v3

CCXII: Livejournal previous owner noted it smelled like sweet fresh incense. I'm getting something lightly floral and not much Penitence. So, maybe a floral incense or candle. -
#575, previously reviewed by claudia6913: There's a dark layer of sediment on the bottom (not very much) and a much lighter, almost clear probably, layer at the top. After mixing them together I get an almost-masculine, Yule-like scent that is quickly replaced by vanilla/resin incense--something like Fred Soll might make. This is definitely a fall scent and very pretty! #543, previously reviewed on Livejournal as "slightly sweet, dark-ish vanilla, tart, zesty, zingy lime, a little booze (possibly rum), and something grassy/herbal, perhaps lemongrass and some fresh ginger." Pretty much all clear here--no layers. It smells kind of like an evil Tiki Bar scent! I smell something greenish and herbal, but it's not a planting or floral type green, more like a herbal green as noted above. I do smell something citrusy and maybe it's lime or lemon. Not much lemongrass coming through. It's a really interesting, complex scent.

So I went and tried this today (because I love Spanked that much, seriously) and it actually does smell very, very similar to my nose. However, the throw and lasting power are nowhere near Spanked. It really did smell like Spanked to me, though, so until it gets resurrected (oh please oh please oh please) this could be a good alternative. -
Super-fruity. No coconut that I can smell (like the released version); instead, this seems like bright red fruits. Sweet with a bit tart edge to it. Beautiful!

Ha, that would be great if there were a Whole Foods anywhere near me! I live in the country -

Ooh. I love Spanked so I should try this. I wonder if it's one of the scents that my nearby health food store stocks (they have several Pacifica testers out)? -
Fruit salad with a LOT of mint!

It's like Black Moon plus Herbal Essences shampoo on me. Far too cloying.

#526--Very full bottle. When I look at it in the light it is a clear liquid and no distinct layers to it. On skin: I can hardly tell there is vanilla in here! It is a fresh greenery smell. Pretty, but it's not really my speed. If you like Planting Moon or oils of that ilk, you'd probably really love this one. #547--Also very full. In the light: Dark. Really dark! And the bottle itself feels oddly heavy! Oooh, musky. It's like a cousin to Mme. Moriarty or Smut. There's a slightly dusty note in the background that tempers the musk and makes it not too heavy. It's not a foody musk, really--maybe an ever so slightly fruity note, like plum, that makes it similar to Mme. but nothing really heavy. I like this one a lot! EDIT: Definitely it's Smut Chaos!

#12, previously reviewed by LadyMedb SOAP. Like soap in a restroom. Cloyingly soapy in its soapiness; I had to wash this off immediately I have a bottle of Purple Phoenix and it works well on me, so perhaps the frankincense isn't playing nice?

Dusty cinnamon. I like the cinnamon, but it's like fire that has gone out and become kind of ashy, as some reviews above have alluded to. I would have liked this to be stronger cinnamon. This scent might be good for you if you like scents like Inferno and Tanin'iver.

Almost herbal and dusty on me. There's the faintest hint of lime, a little tea ... but overwhelmingly it smells like dust!

This is Velvet Unicorn in moth form. Super sweet and fruity. It reminds me a lot of Bath and Body Works' Sweet Pea with a little extra candy floss (like Midway).
-
Blech. Bubblegum and cloves. Like you were chewing pink gum and smoking a clove too.

This smells like waiting in line inside a Six Flags ride, one that has wooden hallways that are kind of damp and dark and they just smell old and sort of mysterious. It also kind of smells like a coconutty version of Dark Chocolate and Pepper-Smoked Caramel. There's a hint of something that's almost like curry, something coconut, and that deep, dark, wooden scent too. I can't tell if I like this or if it just reminds me of younger days.

Like a sweeter version of Khrysopelex on me, it's a sweet cardamom scent. Super-cardamom. Not for me!
-
Apricot, lemon sugar, coconut, red currant, and vetiver. Actually, the vetiver's not so bad on me here (I mean, it is overwhelming, but it will age out, I am sure), it's the fruits underneath--they turn into cheap shampoo or room freshener on me. Like a Glade spray or something. This would probably be lovely on someone with different skin chemistry.

I have #352, received in a swap from devilot This baby is super-full, wayyyy up into the neck. And it's separated into two very distinct layers, a whitish-opaque layer on the top (the vanilla maybe) and a bit more clear layer on the bottom. I had to gently shake it to get the layers to mix--rolling it wouldn't do it! It had been previously described as dry and incensey but I'm not getting that much. It's sweet on me, not like candy or cookie sweet but sweet sort of like some kinds of incense can seem to be (like to me, Nag Champa is a sweet incense). It's not heavy at all, so no musk or thick resinous notes seem to be jumping out at me. But it's not floral either. I think I can only really describe this by saying what it isn't! In any case, I quite like it!

Mmm, sweet rose! It's like Hope on me but a little bit less candied--sometimes Hope can be way too sugary. This tempers that sugar a bit so it's not tooth-achingly sweet. A very beautiful scent!
-
Bizarre. I was expecting tea and sweetness. What I am smelling on me is something akin to warm hay. It's like Hay Moon, somewhat sweeter, and a very "warm" scent on. It's probably some sort of spices that are creating that impression.

I had high hopes for this one, but it turned out to smell like a paste-type incense I used to buy and burn. It's just a bit too strong and the licorice and coconut I was hoping for aren't at the forefront.
