Snow White 2007 In the imp, this is very light - there's a hint of flowers under that snow scent. How does the Lab do it? On the skin, this is so soft - like being wrapped in a fur coat on a cold night. It smells like snow and wind. When it's dry, the flowers have come out and lent a really nice, light, sweetness - it smells almost like honeysuckle. Really lovely.

In imp - mmm, Christmas tree - with just a trace of mint. It warms up on my skin - it's lovely fir and cedar, with the mint to keep it light. Dry, it's very much the same - very lovely.

Rose Red 2007 In the imp, ohhhh - it's a beautiful, fresh, growing rose - not just the flower, but the greenness of the stem and leaves as well. It's the same on my skin - just a very fresh, very beautiful, very natural rose. It's outdoors, where Peacock Queen is indoors. When it dries, GORGEOUS - that's all I can say. This is my ultimate rose.

In the imp: woo - candy cane! with vanilla! On my skin, it's so bright, so cold, so perfectly what it's advertised - it smells exactly like a candy cane tastes. When it dries, the peppermint's almost gone; it's all sweet vanilla. Very nice!

In the imp: voluptuous rose is right - this is gorgeous! On my skin, there's something velvety soft to it - wet, on my skin, it's far more innocent than imperious. Once it dries, the haughtiness becomes more apparent - compared to Rose Red's outdoor, still-growing rose, this is a rose in a vase in a beautiful, ornate room.

In the imp, I get pumpkin and sage - a lovely, unexpected combination. The pumpkin falls WAY back on my skin - all I get is sage and sweetgrass. When it dries, the pumpkin is non-existent - it's dry, sweet, very mellow and soft and warm. I'll need more of this.

All I get is generic flowers - in the imp, on my skin, and when it's dry. There's nothing specific - it's kind of boring.

In imp, this is sugared orange blossom. On my skin, I get iris, with just a hint of orange - a very dry, stand-offish scent. When it dries, it's a creamy, slightly sweet carnation - really, really good. A keeper!

Samhain 2007 In imp, this smells like standing in a forest after a fall rain. On my skin, I'm getting the patchouli and the fir, but no spices or apple. When it dries, it's apple at the start, then patchouli and fir. It's an "eh" for me.

In the imp - mmm, buttery almond is right. On my skin, it's all almond, and I LOVE IT. When it dries, it's myrrh and musk - a keeper for now.

In imp, Priala is smoky cinnamon for me. On my skin, the myrrh is a little bit more noticeable, but the cinnamon and smoke are the stars of the show. When it dries, there's more cinnamon, less smoke. I think cinnamon is one of those things my skin really amps, because I always get a lot of it. I think this is an excellent execution of the concept, and a great scent, but ultimately not for me.

In imp, this smells like the inside of a beautiful old cathedral - it's very frankincense-heavy. On my skin, it's definitely frankicense - not getting much myrrh at all. This is too strong for me - all frankincense, with no balance or relief.
-
In the imp, this is a sweet, light floral - that must be the honeysuckle in the forefront. On my skin, - mmm, this is really nice. It's very serene and clear - beautiful, balanced floral, with the merest whisper of a mint. Dry, the florals really come out over the musk - too bad it didn't stay in the wet phase forever. I pass this along to someone who will really appreciate it.

In the imp, this is very herbal - I get sage, chamomile, and clove. On my skin, it's more of the same - still heavy on chamomile, with sage and clove. When it dries, it's strange and herbal - not really my bag.
-
In the imp, I smell hazelnut and myrrh and vanilla. On my skin, the vanilla is stronger, and the nuttiness of the hazelnut comes out. There's just a hint of the sandalwood and myrrh. But when it dries, it turns bitter and medicinal - so sad.
-
In the imp, this smells like clear, salty, reedy water - I'm definitely getting the seaweed and marine accord. On my skin, it's very interesting - it smells a little like I applied seawater mixed with violet to my wrist. When it dries, it sort of reminds me of The Phoenix, only flower-y where that was wood-y. I can see this being amazing on someone else, but it doesn't Wow me, so I'll send it to greener pastures.

In the imp, I get all pear - swoon. I'm such a sucker for fruity scents. On my skin, it's still all pear up front - so delicious and true to life. But when it dries, the pear is all gone - it's musk and jasmine. Not bad, but definitely a change from the first phase.
-
In the imp, I get clove, sandalwood... and something I don't recognize. On my skin, this is a very sharp, medicinal scent, and I can't pick out any of the listed notes that I know. It ends up very odd, and very medicinal, on my skin. I'll pass this along.

In imp, Haloes is a very rich, warm scent - it's very sophisticated . I can't pick up any individual notes. On my skin, I get a hint of apricot over woodsy vanilla - it's really nice. When it dries, what could be a really traditionally resiny-woodsy-vanilla "Oriental" scent is really brought to another level by the hint of apricot and ginger. It's a very grown-up scent, worn by a sophisticated woman who has nothing to prove.

In the imp, I get sandalwood and rose. On my skin, it's all sandalwood and dry leaves - a very dry, almost decaying scent. When it dries, it's very subtle - it's got the *faintest* hint of rose, but it's all sandalwood and leaves. Not my cup of tea, but nice.
-
In the imp, I get honey and flowers - just a shot of the sweet-tart currant. On my skin, the currant comes out and lends a biting sweetness; there's a background of honey with the lightness of gardenia and freesia. When it dries, this is very subtle and well-blended - hard to pick out individual notes, even harder to tell if I'm still wearing anything.
-
In the imp, I get incense, myrrh, sandalwood, frankincense - rich, warm, spicy. On my skin, the ambergris is something sharp and cool under all the warmth of the spices and resins. When it's dry, it's quite lovely - the ambergris balances out all the resins and woods so lovely. It's not quite a WOW for me, so I'll be passing it on.
-
In imp, all I get is patchouli. On my skin, it's more patchouli - *sigh*. Dry, the honey comes out, and the musk - the patchouli has completely disappeared, and there's the slightest hint of sandalwood in the back. I like this much more than I thought I would, but I don't think it's for me.
-
In the imp, this is a creamy peach-y floral. On my skin, I get mostly jasmine - very light and sweet. When it dries, it fades really fast, but it's super lovely - beautiful creamy peach.
-
In the imp, heLLO patchouli!! There's a little wood, too. On my skin, it's wood and patchouli, with just the smallest sharpness from the vetiver - none of the fig or amber that I was hoping for. When it dries - let me put it this way. You know that part of Empire Records where John Cusack says, "Get your patchouli stink out of my store!" That's what Lucifer is like on me.
