Sharp, green, gingery, and decidedly masculine.
-
Reminds me a bit of Wicked. Sharp, slightly powdery, generic rose. It's not unpleasant, and the lab does do better rose notes than anyone else, but still.
-
Seriously, I can't get a read on this scent. Zero throw!! Even huffing and puffing less than a centimeter next to my wrist isn't doing squat. That might be sweet neroli, but then again I can't be certain..

Sharp herbs, menthol, pungent. Refreshing. Can't pinpoint why it's so appealing. Drydown is quite similar to the way Yggdrasil turns out on my skin.
-
It might be my horrid nose, but what about those cinnamon scents? This is Bengal without the skin musk.

It's hard for me to identify ozone and rain scents, they all smell like fresh laundry. The Stormhold is a cool, soft, soapy, lilac-y kind of laundry. And yet it is reminiscent of the icy Stormhold, of rain, of the coolness and slight chill, retains a sort of slickness. Something to wear on a grey, rainy day.

Wow, butterscotch candies! This is lovely and sooo foody. And has great throw.

R'lyeh = Slightly warmer, sweeter Stormhold without the vetiver.

Deep in Earth is similar to Zombi, but not quite as sour and wet. The rose geranium gives it a sweet, spicy, floral quality. Zombi is more wet moss + dirt and Deep in Earth is more flowers in dirt. Really pretty.

This isn't spicy at all on me...yes, it's a pink scent, in both the oil color and what it is evocative of....but it's a cool smelling pink, a dusky purple pink, lilac and something floral in there...slightly heady....satiated with sweetness.

The carnation lends a sharpness and the plum gives a slightly woody (for some reason I associate this with rice flower lol) sweetness. The musk kind of intertwines the two in the background. This scent is so pretty and feminine, I'd wear it when I want my day to feel exotic and oriental.

Whoa, this smells exactly like dirt and roses. It's amazing what the Lab can do! I can't get over the dirt note. It's just so...different. Not pleasant or unpleasant. Just clean dirt, wet after a rain, with roses. I mean, I don't have anything against dirt but I don't go around with my nose stuck in it either. Right on application it was like a host of the undead were walking around...but now the dirt note has faded into clean, nearly indiscernable sun baked earth, and the roses got sweeter and slight more powdery. Smells kinda like a garden! The whole concept of this blows my mind! How incredibly awesome. I hated the dirt note in Nosferatu but this one just works.

This is lovely, so light and green. Fresh tea with a squirt of lemon and a dollop of honey. This is actually incredibly similar to Embalming Fluid except no musk, and I like Shanghai better. The only problem is it has no throw whatsoever. sigh.

Almost all rose on my skin. The narcissus doesn't do much except sharpen the overall green feel of the scent.
-
Cool, yet sharp. Smells like sour linen from hell on me.
-
Sharp at first, but now it's calming down and going to...kumquat? Is that the sweetness lurking in the background? Juicy and slight crisp, flowers and citrus of equal proportion.
-
Fresh, watery, cool. Apple blossoms and what must be the hyacinth (reminds me of lilac). Floral/leaves/apples/breeze without being over the top or excessive in any way. Gorgeous.

Wow, this DOES smell like those cinnamon altoids. That's creepy. It's actually quite a good scent, but I'm getting more ginger + cinnamon here than actual gingerbread. Gingerbread Poppet has something moist and cakey about it but Shub is all dry ginger and spicy powders. I really do like it though.

Florals and tea and redcurrant. This is so delicious without actually being foody. It's really balanced. The florals are lovely, the redcurrant is kind of fruity and the tea..God I can't described the perfectness of the tea in this blend, it just leads an overal earthiness to the scent...I mean the entire thing is very ethereal and magical and shimmery and the tea adds to that, but it also sort of tethers it down....rounds it out...so the sharp edges of the florals and the otherwise slightly wine-y sour fruitish redcurrant are toned down....it's like the best part of all the notes, without overdoing anything. This scent is SO well blended, and it's just NOM NOM NOM. I can't believe The East has so few reviews, it's beyond gorgeous. I am so glad I bought a bottle of this, and might need a backup too. *sqeee*

Wet, Queen of Sheba smells like the almondy marischino cherries in eclipse, with a slightly woody tinge. As it dries I get a more true almond scent, almost hazelnutty. It's not really warm or golden, but has a rather dry dusty quality. After a while the almonds fade slightly and the spices come out. They're woody too. Smells like cinnamon in there. This also is similar to Bengal imo. I like Eclipse better for almonds, though, the amber makes it warmer and more approachable.

I get tangy wine, then tangy grape wine, then honey, in that order. There's also something darker holding it all together. Really interesting!

Lily, jasmine, and ylang ylang. For some reason ylang ylang is very *high* scent to me. It's not earthy and doesn't wear close to the skin, but sort of disperses itself evenly. Suspiro goes to a somewhat powdery/rose reminiscent finish. Not for me.
-
Wet on my skin this is all lillies. Thankfully on the drydown it calms down enough that the pear and white musk come out. There might be rose flitting around the edges too. It's very pretty but definately a traditional "perfumy" sort of scent.
-
I could barely smell this at all even after generous application. Which was sad, because from the little I could detect with my nose squished up against my wrist, it's extremely pretty. But I can't imagine wearing something with such a nonexistant throw, it'd be like wearing water.

Rose, with something powdery in here that keeps its from smelling green. It isn't a bad smell, but I like roses that are green and fresh, and this one's stale from being in the keepsake trunk for too long.
