I just got a bottle in a swap today. Not sure how old it is, but it's very nice. On me, it's very dry... definitely a dust incense. As dry as it is, I can pick up a sweetness in the background. I'm totally digging this scent and am super glad I took a chance on it unsniffed.

Hmmm. I don't know, but to my uneducated nose, without looking at the notes, I would've sworn this had some sort of cinnamon in it. It's very masculine for quite some time - it smells like I've been snuggling with a really great smelling guy, in fact. Not until much, much later does that masculine feel start to fade and turn into this lovely sweet, warm scent. The only bad thing about it is that it faded down so close to the skin that I have to snort my own arm to smell it. I like more throw and I can't reapply to get it, because the wet and early dry stages are so different than the later dry stage.

Decided that I had to try this scent, so nabbed a partial bottle. In the bottle and upon first application, it's all sweet lime. It's sweet, but also has a very fresh feel to it. I love it! Unfortunately, the lime lasts all of about five minutes on me. My skin must love it as much as I do. I can still vaguely detect the fruitiness of the lime, but the chocolate is playing for keeps. I shouldn't be too surprised, though, I amp chocolate like nobody's business, (I don't know why I keep trying chocolate scents; I must be a glutton for punishment.) I'm not sorry I got this partial, though. It's a different enough kind of chocolate than the others I have that I'm going to keep it. This is one chocolate that could be worn during warmer weather, as it still retains that tiny bit of zest.

I've been putting off reviewing this because every single time I wear it, I get peaches. Or rather a one of those little wood incense blocks that has been saturated with peach oil. I can't figure out why I think it smells like that. And every time I wear PoaC and think about reviewing, I read the other reviews and it seems like they are completely different than what I'm smelling. I even went so far today as to put the actual full strength oil on one wrist and Peach Moon on the other just to compare. Having them side by side helps a lot, but though Peach Moon is woah!Peach! Prosperity is like a more refined, more gentlemanly cousin. I still can't get the peach idea out of my head. I even looked up the strange notes listed... orris root is basically iris and asuhi is a Japanese evergreen, so those can't be it. So very curious. Anyway!! As I mentioned above, this smells like peach saturated wood incense block. Thank heaven and earth I don't detect any leather, (it usually is plain awful on my skin). I'm not sure if the other notes are just super well combined, but I do believe the cream is giving it an overall... well, creaminess; and, again, thank goodness it's playing nice on my skin as well and I'm not smelling the actual cream note. I can't keep from referring to Peach Moon again... where that one wants to lean toward the icky side, Prosperity is wonderful! It is, to me, a very low key, understated, subtle-sexy sort of scent. I can see wearing this pretty much year round... hot weather or cold. The only down side to it is it just doesn't last long, (even diluted in a spray, which usually makes them last longer), and leaves without a trace, even sprayed on my clothes; it flat disappears in about an hour or so. If I wear this even rarely, my bottle is going to go pretty fast because I'll have to reapply often. Still, though it's not as strong as I like, nor as long lasting as one would want, I like it very well.

I've come to the conclusion that I amp leather to high heaven. And any leather note in an oil isn't anything like gorgeous saddle leather; it's probably just my skin chemistry. I was hoping that the pipe tobacco and resins would be more in the front, but nope. Straight up, single note leather. Oh well. Just got a decant to try in case, so no huge loss.

This is so very beautiful. The other reviewers are more descriptive, so I'll just say it's gorgeous, warm, golden. Vanilla is the prominent note on me, but it's nothing close to straight up vanilla. I can't really describe it. But it's so good I ordered a backup bottle; which I rarely end up doing. Yes, it's that good. Definitely a top ten scent.

I wasn't sure about Ronin when I placed my order because I amp oakmoss and most honeys in a horrible, horrible way, but I love sandalwood for the most part and rice flower. The pepper was a wild card. Fortunately, this has stayed very lovely on me. Something about it is very reminiscent of Lovers in a Ricefield from last year, but Ronin isn't nearly as "rice-y". The honey is playing very nicely with me this time and giving it a sweetness that tamps down what could've been a very biting scent. I don't know what it is about Ronin... he isn't what I'd typically wear, but I'm feeling very romantically inclined toward him. This is a little bit sexy but in a reserved, almost calculating way. It's warm and mysterious. Yep, I'm in love with Ronin.

At first it's a blast of that smoky oak. I don't really like that so much. I don't mind some smoke or wood notes, but this is just ugh. Then, something amazing happens! Dried, it becomes this lush, rich, somewhat sweet cherry-plum wine. It's gorgeous! Waaaaaay in the back, if I really sniff deeply, I can sort of pick out a warm coffee bean note. Well, actually that's more on my shirt sleeve than skin. Dried, this really reminds me of Head of Holofernes, which I adore; it must be the blood and wine. I'm definitely keeping my bottle of The Zadok Allen Vineyard for sure!

At first this was waaaay too perfume-y for my tastes, but oh after it dries!! It becomes this lovely, drool worthy softly spiced tea. It's not fruity to me, but does almost go into that territory. It's very beautiful. Soft, warm, inviting. The only downside is my skin seems to drink it up, so it's faded pretty badly. At first it did have a wicked throw, but now... I'm going to have to reapply, methinks, which is okay.

Absolutely gorgeous scent. Very creamy lilac with a bit of dryness supporting it. I like a good, robust yet sweet floral and this fits the bill in all ways. Lovin' it!

Doing a full day wear for Anactoria '10 today... OMG!! At first, it's floral and sweetish and bright, but after drying it becomes this wonderfully warm amber musk. I keep catching whiffs of it as I go about my day and I love it. Though it is warm, there is a vibrancy to it that makes this so perfect for Spring. I smell it and really feel alive. Very few scents make me want to actually skip. Thankfully, I don't get much honey in this. That was one of the notes I was very worried about as honey inevitably goes rancid on me. Not so here. Perhaps the kush is giving this the subconscious vibrancy, but I can't say that I can smell it, also thankfully. Overall, this is a great scent! I'm so glad to have my bottle. I love it and it isn't going anywhere!

This starts out really sweet on me. It must be the jasmine taking the lead. But once it dries, the other notes do an excellent job tamping down that super sweet floral. The pear is there, but not overly so, not like some other pear scents I've tried... nothing like Juliet or Thalia. I believe it must be the pepper and wood notes giving it a darker feel. I really like this. It's unfortunate it all but disappears in nothing flat. I'll test this again during another time and see how it does as far as longevity.

At first this was very strongly citrus, but after it dries it becomes this lovely, rich almost foody sweet scent. The citrus is very slightly still there, but the other notes are much more in prominence. Autumn Moon of the Mirror Stand is simply beautiful. A keeper for sure.

Upon first application, all I can really smell is the dryness of the sandalwood. I don't mind it so much on certain occasions, so though I'm not thrilled with it, it's not horrible. It stayed pretty "woody" for most of the time, but now several hours later the dryness of the wood has softened somewhat and it's become much more rounded and much more wearable. It's not an immediate love, but I'll hold onto my bottle and see how it is in a few months.

I can't really add too much to the above reviews. Womb Furie is all it's cracked up to be. The Snake Oil is smooth and mellow and the O adds the sweetness as to be expected. I really, really like it. It's warm and sexy and it is going to age divinely. I'm thinking a backup bottle needs to be ordered; it's wonderful stuff.

Did I even get the same oil as everyone else? All I get from start to finish is spicy Indian food... like curry or something. I really like to eat it, but I don't want to smell like it. Where is the anise? The clove? The mandarin? I'm not sure what to do with this. Can my skin chemistry really be that much off or did I get a really off blended version of it? I had really high hopes for this one, especially after reading the reviews. I guess I'll hold on to it for a little while, but I really don't know if aging will help the spicy curry smell or not.

Last one in this batch... At first it is SALT! with a bit of sweetish, maybe fruity? florals. Mostly it's very salty. I don't mind salty scents too much, so not immediately bad. Dried, the salt has left with a somewhat metallic feeling to the very sultry florals. Like maybe the edges of tropical flowers have been dipped in sterling silver. The sweetness hasn't completely left, but lingers right on the edges of the olfactory experience... it's battling the metallic feel for second place after the florals. Way in back, there still seems to be something of a juicy fruit. I'm just not too sure about this one overall. Definitely not one of those instant loves. *sigh*

This one is still up in the air. I keep trying rose notes in all their various incarnations via bpal and have yet to find one that meshes with me 100%. At first, it's ROSES!!!!!!!!!!!! But the fresh cut sort that I like well enough, but still... it's roses, you know. hmmm Shortly, the wax comes out hitting hard and it does tone down the ROSE! note, but after awhile I'm left with dried rose petals like the kind in a very old potpourri sitting next very waxy (unlit) candles. I can't find either wine or frankincense. I'm on the fence about this one, so will hold it for a little while to see how it ages.

Argh!! Nothing but misses, it seems like! Starts off horrible rotten florals. Drying it smooths out a little bit and I'm thinking it might not be so bad, but then... Fully dry, it gets awful again. It's very dry and very wood-based cologne which, unfortunately, is so bad I wouldn't even put it on my husband. Off to sales!

Another horrible miss for me. It burns my nose with its powerful rotten wood smell and somewhere in the background is a sort of spearmint kind of thing going on. After a little while, it's quieted down, but it's still pretty much straight up dried out wood. Just so not my thing. Not a keeper.

Bleck!!!! This is absolutely horrible on my skin. It's bitter and biting and assaults my nose. I'm really not sure how much longer I can keep this on my hand. Absolutely not keeping this at all. One test is more than enough. Gack!

Why did I even think this had a chance of working on me!? It's strong, sharp, sour-y coconut and gross, dirty body musk. Coconut always does this to me. Not sure I'll be keeping this long enough to hope it gets better; I'm sure it won't for sitting around. bleh

Starts off beautifully, but then goes sort of weird after drying. Very perfume-y heavy florals. I'm not sure if I like it or not. I think I'll have to let it settle a bit more.

I do get the anise/licorice vibe from this, but it's not heavy handed in any way. Immediately, I thought it was brilliantly beautiful. Soft, sweet, lovely. Light vanilla, a breath of anise and a whisper of white florals. But I had my husband sniff my wrist and he reeled back and said, "Ugh! Black licorice!" Whatever. I didn't get that smack your face licorice. But you know, I would still love it because even though I can't stand the taste of it, I love the smell. lol Pink Mood is definitely a winner in my book!

For the resurrection. I don't think there's much I can add really. It's a creamy carnation; there is a smoothness to it that keeps it from smelling like the flower. This isn't a freshly cut carnation by any stretch. I'm getting a bit of powderyness to it, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, imo. I'm very glad this hopped into my cart on the last day; I like it quite a lot.
