Okay, I don't know what the heck I'm smelling here, but it's a light, sweet almost fruity scent. I can definitely catch the dragon's blood, which always stands out to me; maybe because I love it. The metal aspect of this almost scared me away, but I was "what the heck" and I'm glad I didn't let it scare me off. Any kind of metal that might be in there is barely detectable. If anything, it gives it a steely backbone upon which the sweetness can hold to. It almost has a cool feel to it, but a lurking warmness staves it off. Overall, this probably isn't something I'll turn to very often, but I definitely am glad to have it. For some reason, I always seem to miss the CNY scents; I'm very glad to have Metal Tiger. It'll probably get more wear in warmer weather.

In the bottle, a sweet, creamy booze. Wet on skin: Bailey's Irish Cream!! Yum!!! Drying: Well, damn it. I always hope it won't, but it usually does: I'm amping the chocolate to high heaven. Dried: Yay! Chocolate is pulling back, thank goodness! It's coming back around to that Bailey's feel, but not as strong. I'm thinking this is something that I can definitely wear. I always take a chance with any kind of chocolate, but I'm finding that dark chocolate isn't usually as bad as milk or white chocolate. As far as the booze notes go, they are behaving quite nicely, giving the sweetness little kick that I like quite well. Definitely more of a cold weather scent, I'll wear this through until late Spring, then probably let it sit until Fall when the temps start dropping again.

"A scent of pearls and ivory" sums it up nicely and neatly. First time I sniffed it in the bottle and today for a full wear it is beautiful. Soft and sensual; it makes one feel innocently sexy, but somehow in a very naughty way. I love this one a lot. Definitely glad I have a bottle.

After reading some reviews, I was more than a little terrified when I finally got my bottle. Fortunately, I don't get any notes of doom. It's difficult for me to describe. In the bottle, it is pretty sharp and stings my nose, but on skin, that sharpness immediately disappears. It has went through a bit of morphing as it's dried out. It ends up being a slightly musky berry. I'm very glad the berry is behaving... berry is one of those tricky notes on me; as is any kind of milk. Actually, I'm not really sure why I got this. The only notes that I was interested in are the "heat", "wax" and "tree". "Moonlight", "milk", "blackberry", "wind" and "snow" are all either iffy or bad. LOL Luckily, this one is definitely okay on me! All the notes blend together to make a nice perfume that isn't strictly any one note in particular, but encompasses the whole. Is it a favorite? No. But it's definitely a keeper.

As soon as I sniffed it I knew that I must get at least two more bottles of this. It's so perfectly my kind of scent. I'm not comparing the other oils, but it's in the same love, love, love category as SC:res and Khrysee from last year. But, dare I say it? I think I might've found my new true love with Smut '10. I keep snorting and huffing my tiny test patch and I can't get enough of it's sweet, warm, sexy decadence.

I decided to give this a real test after having sit for a time, as when I first got it, I didn't much care for it. Looking at the notes, I should like this quite a lot, but I think the peach is just too bright for me. Wearing it today, it's not as bad as I remember, for sure, but it's still not something I can or would want to wear all the time... it's definitely a summer time only scent. A strange phenom occurs with this. The air under my nose is very bright peach, but when I sniff my wrist, I get more of a dusty peach wood. Interesting!

Wore this doing last minute Christmas shopping today... I'd tested it before, but this is a full day's wear out in public and sitting at Mom's house and now sitting here at home about 12 hours later. It's lasted all day and it's still going strong; that's a very good thing. BTBT is a perfect blend of all three notes. Warm and sexy and very wearable. I'd catch whiffs of it all day and it made me feel calm, confident and happy in the chaos of the weekend-before-Christmas shopping madness. Of all the Yules, I would consider this one highly for a backup bottle. Definitely a 10 out of 10.

Not much to add to the other reviews other than to agree. Definitely a sweet, sugary peppermint stick. I won't wear it much, if at all, but since I didn't get last year's Lick It, I wanted to get one this year. I think every stash should have at least one version.

Wore MM '09 today. This is pretty awesome and I'm picking up a decant circle leftover bottle. I'm not sure why this year MM works and last year didn't. *curious* Anyway, it's all lovely smoke-y (but not the choke/cough kind of smoke here) church incense. Or what I would imagine church incense to be like since I've only ever been to a Catholic service all of one time back when I was 14. lol It's a very somber and beautiful thing, Midnight Mass '09. ♥♥

This one is difficult to review other than saying, "It's absolutely gorgeous." Why is it gorgeous? That's the hard part for me. This 13 is beautifully blended, I'm having a bit of a time picking out individual notes. In the bottle: a delicious fruity fudge, but not too heavy on the chocolate. Wet on skin: Amazingly, the chocolate gets eaten and I'm getting more of a rich, creamy fruit. I guess that's the prune? But I wouldn't say it's prune-y. Drying: This is where it rounds out into a very well blended scent. I really wish I could describe this better or be able to pick out individual notes. *sigh* It has a sweet, but not foody; musky, but not rank; resin-y, but not powdery, warmness and richness and sexiness to it that is everything I feel makes a perfect scent. It's weird, I can sort of tell it's a 13, but it's not in your face 13, if you know what I mean. This is my fourth 13 and all of them you can tell are of the same ilk; this one is so quiet in comparison. And it's making me sort of tear up because it's so very beautiful. I've only had this kind of reaction to one other scent since getting into perfume oils, (that was GJ's Island Hopping: Cuba). Later: Lucky day!! It stayed beautiful. I feel so lucky to have this!! Overall: So far, this is in the running for 2009's top scent. Definitely in the top five. I wish like crazy I had ordered two bottles.

Starts off pleasant enough with a citrus-y fruit kind of thing going on, but hours later, it's gone sour... like rancid wet greenery. Must be the lichen? I thought I might like it, so this is the second go round, but alas a decant is more than enough.

I wonder if my decant is weird, cause I've got nothing that any of the other reviewers got. This is the second time I've skin tested this. Results were the same. From start to finish, (I've had this on for hours now), I've gotten nothing but smoked/charred wood. That's it. No sweetness. No clove. No spice. Nothing but bleck charred wood. I wanted all that is missing in this, but no such luck for me. I believe this is the first time I've been this severely disappointed in a scent.

I didn't know what to expect really from this, but it definitely wasn't what I got. In a good way. I'm going to cut straight to the end as the middle parts aren't jaw dropping and while this is drying it has the tang to it that more than my fair share of oils have a tendency to get and I don't really care for. To smell this dry is worth the wait. So very worth it. My impression is an exotic tropical flower in a chilly rain storm. I don't get any mint, dirt, frost or earth from this at all. Maybe the very, very tiniest bit of pepper on the back side of the sniff. It's very beautiful and womanly. Possible bottle upgrade. Ancedote: My oldest son, (he's 12), is very picky about scents and doesn't like about 90% (possibly more!) of what I shove in his face. haha Of Evening Cicadas, he said, "Smelly!" I asked, "Good or bad?" He replies, "Good." Update: It's gone all wonky again. One of these days, I'm going to figure out what it is that makes things get that sourish, bleck tang to them.

No kidding, every single note in this is fail on me. On my skin, berries are sour, honey is rancid, nuts go off, hay is much too dry and carrot? just no. So why the hell did I get a decant? I can't say other than my curiosity just gets the better of me. Sleipnir should NOT have worked in any way, shape or form on me, but strangely it does. I don't get any ill effects from any of the notes; instead it's a very well rounded combo of all. The hay must've muffled the honey and berries while the carrot must've counteracted the nuts. I don't know, but it has a mild sweet-but-dry thing going on that is just lovely. It's on my bottle consideration list for now. I'm still waiting on the majority of my Yule decants, so we'll see after that. Either way, I'm very glad I let my curiosity prevail in this case - decant isn't going anywhere. <3

I can't really break down this wonderful scent by notes, but I can say this has to be one of the most beautiful scents I've smelled in a very long time. I was looking forward to testing it and it was so worth the wait. The Mr. said that if I made him sniff it one more time he was going to take a bite out of my arm. LOL What I think I'm smelling is a soft, sweet floralish feel with the barest wisp of a smoky musk that makes this extremely sexy. Wearing it makes me want to slink, so yeah. Definite for sure bottle purchase... probably two.

Cristina starts off pine-y chestnuts with a hint of sweetness that reminds me of syrup, but after awhile turns into a musky pine. I normally enjoy musk scents, but somewhere along the line it's went sort of off. Overall, it's not stand-outish enough and is a bit too perfume-y for me.

Woah!! Another super strong scent. It's definitely hellfire and brimstone being fanned by huge sweeping copper wings. It stayed true to that for quite some time, but a few hours later, it's mainly a single note freshly cut cedar?wood scent. It's very nice actually. I think it would layer well with something like Khrysee or Mircalla; I may try that. Still, not really something I would wear so pass on a bottle.

Ermm... I'm writing this under duress from olfactory trauma. Trick or Treat '09 should work on me, but it doesn't. At first it was a yummy candy corn, but quickly it changed into something like what a can of out-of-date sweet corn that has been left open for a couple days might smell like. It's sweet, almost syrupy, but it's got this rancidness to it that is literally making me sick to my stomach. It's right on the borderline of it might work out, but it just can't fall over to the Treat side of its name. I honestly want to wash it off badly, but I'm going to hold out for a bit longer. I think I've only ever washed off a half dozen scents from all the scents I've tried, but boy is this pushing my limits. It is definitely eliciting a very strong reaction in me. lol Will edit if anything changes.

Hmmm. Starts out a crisp, cold, tart green apple. Shortly, though, it morphs into a Spicey!cooked apple dessert hot out of the oven. Spices over-run the apples for about five minutes, then it morphs again into a red delicious apple picked right off the tree. Finally, it settles into hot apple crisp with a dab of whipped cream. It's quite yummy, but I think after testing all these apple scents that apple and I don't really get along that famously. Like good acquaintances, but you don't want to spend more than an hour once every two weeks with them. I really want to like the apple note and it doesn't smell bad on me, but there's a personality conflict or something. lol

It goes on very yeasty, stays that way for some time, then turns into something like molded sweet bread. After that, I get suggestion of something spicy that might be the incense? It's pretty good after that initial rancidness goes away. The other downside is it fades so super fast that I have no time to enjoy it in it's last stages. I would consider this for a bottle, as I don't mind waiting for a scent to settle in, but the fact it lasts for so little time makes it a no, unfortunately. Why oh why has my skin decided to start eating some scents!?

Decided to take a break from testing Weenies today and try Sachs. In a word: WOW!! For about a minute, it's mostly some sort of sweet fruit, but once that goes, it's a wonderful, lovely, beautiful, awesome, rich, warm sensual scent. The vanilla isn't vanilla-y at all, it's so much more than that. I'm having trouble describing it, but I know one thing. I'm in love. I wish like crazy I could afford a bottle, 'cause this just shot up to my top ten list right quick.

This morning is Bite Me. I was so ready to love this just because. In the vial and wet on skin, it's a lovely sweet almond dessert. I'm quite pleased the almond is playing nice and not going all weird sour-y on me. Several hours later, it's settled nicely into my skin and become a subtle, delicious caramel covered almond. I like this very much, but I just don't think I would wear it very often, so I don't need a bottle.

Last night, I tried Suck It. Absolutely glorious boozy cherry in the vial and for the first ten seconds on my skin. Then nothing. It was gone. 100%, completely disappeared. Heart-breaking. If only it would've lasted an hour... hell, even a half an hour would've been okay, but nope. Ten seconds... or whatever the time was from applying it to capping my decant. Sooooo sad about this one.

Okay, today Pumpkin IV got pulled at random. In the vial, it was very, very much that warm buttery sweet pumpkin that I associate with a pumpkin scent. It's quite nice. And I love that bright orange color. But once on my skin, that rich pumpkin smell completely disappeared. Apparently, with this scent, I'm amping the black musk like crazy. There is this dark almost smokey note radiating up off my skin. I can't really detect any of the other notes. It stays like this for quite some time. It's been several hours now and sadly, this has faded so badly that I'm barely able to smell anything at all. What I can smell still is the musk with the myrrh, clove and tobacco notes dancing along the edges in turn. Again, I love clove and would've preferred if it was a bit more prominent. Overall, I'm on the fence about this one. It's nice, but it's not OMG!WOWing me. I've got about a month to wear it a couple more times and think about whether it makes the bottle want list.

Ah-ha!! Another 'Weenie that didn't go sour-y on me!! Woohoo!! First applied: OMG!SPICE! Like woah Spiciness on Spice Ln, Spiceville!! Like the Spice in Dune that gets everyone high 'cause it's Spice! It's really weird, 'cause where in the notes does it actually say spice? Anyway, it's been on a little bit and while it's still Spice, I can now sniff through it to the creamy coffee note... does the creaminess come from the chocolate or the same mysterious place the Spice comes from? My skin really can't stand most chocolate notes, so if it is the chocolate, it's behaving nicely. *sniff, sniff...sniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiff* Caught you vanilla bean!! There's no hiding from me. Vanilla bean gives PV a coziness I quite like. No hint of hazelnut or any kind of nut at all, thank goodness! I really, really like Pumpkin V, but not because of the coffee note, which to me isn't nearly strong enough. It vaguely reminds me of something else I have... I can't remember off the top of my head. OH! I think it's the spiciness of Feb. 13 from this year, which I love also. I'm going to put Pumpkin V on my bottle want list and hope I can save enough $$ to actually get it, but if for some reason I can't, I do have Feb. 13 for that lovely Spice! scent.
