in the imp: mint, something aquatic, and green apple. i guess im one of the ones who picks up an apple scent that isnt actually there. (no complaints, im a fan of all things green apple!) wet on skin: strong mint. like altoids mint, with something aquatic. very faint note of sweetness in the background. drydown: i smell like junior mints! well the mint inside the junior mints. a very sweet soft mint. maybe like an after dinner mint? mint with soft powdered sugar. its hard to explain, i smell like candy. its nowhere near as strong as it was 5 minutes ago. i think it will cling to my skin for a bit, but not with the power i hoped. i will need to bathe in it but i think it will be worth it. not at all what i expected by the description. not something i would ever have ordered, i was frimped by a lovely forumite and couldnt be happier.

in imp: boozy, slightly sweet wet: same as in imp dry down: boozy scent faded, slightest hint of hazelnut. very faint. faded in one hour. I was hoping for sweet hazelnut goodness, tooth hurting sweet. Sadly disappointed. Ill try again some other day and hope for better results.

I got this as an frimp in my order too! not one i had any intention of trying either. in the imp this is a nice berry with a slight hint of cocoa. maybe this wont be so bad? wet on my skin it smells like a fizzy grape soda, but darker, more complex. by far less sweet than bordello. There is cocoa in the background, almost like cocoa dusted berries. after 30 minutes or so the berry goes almost completely away. It is now a dark earthy cocoa. grounded by something and in the background there is the faintest hint of berries. and then at about an hour my skin which hates musk turns it into cocoa powder. oh well, better than baby powder? All in all i was very pleasantly surprised with this one. Its like bordellos more mature, less sweet, naughty older sister. this is what I had hoped bordello would be. I just wish musk didnt turn to powder on me.

Such an odd but amazing scent. I sniff and get spicy apricot, then i get clove, then apricot, then clove. very warm and playful. I wish it was a bit stronger on me, i reapplied and can barely smell it, but then again i have a weak sense of smell. I may have to keep an imp of this on hand for when i feel playful.

imp: red jello powder! Or kool-aid. wet: the same as in the imp 10 minutes later: wonderful sweet wine. Almost like the taste of a nice red desert wine. drydown: fruit smelling baby powder. Why must all the bpal i like turn to baby powder on me? i had hoped this would be a winner. I love the smell...for all of 10 minutes. Oh well.

Dorian was my first sniff of bpal and the first scent i ever tried. So far (out of the 6 scents ive tried) it holds the number 1 spot. imp: lemon tea with the faintest touch of vanilla wet: lemon starts to fade but is still the most wonderful sweet tea smell. dry down: it gets this warmth to it. just like a warm cup of tea, with sweet lemon, like lemon icing as opposed to lemon zest. I can really smell the vanilla! Basically it smells like you would think an english teahouse would smell. 5-6hrs later: scent has faded a bit but is far from gone. I swear this stuff sticks to me until i scrub it off. It does turn a bit powdery on me after about 20mins but i think all musk scents do. At least with dorian i smell powdery+dorian as opposed to just powdery like my other bpal scents. This is a winner for sure! I need to order a bottle of it asap.

Yay for my first ever review! Ill try my best, my sniffer isnt refined and doesnt function too well. In the imp: sharp, hint of floral, a bit of spice wet: same as the imp. after 5 minutes: where did it go? :: adds more to her neck, wrists, and sticks some under her nose:: dry down: scent is faded. this is a really light scent. no matter how much i add it stays the same. I detect a bit of a fruity note to it, the floral has become almost an afterthought, like a walk on extra in a tv show. It is now creamy sweet, with some fruit and an undertone with a bit of a bite. All in all its a very well balanced scent. nothing jumps out at you. Its like the perfect harmony of the scents combine into being its own thing. I am actually a fan of this scent, i just wish it were a bit stronger. Very good spring/summer scent!
