Out of the imp: Woody, sweet herbal. I like this one a lot. On: It has a sweet herbal scent, the myrrh, I think. And I can definately smell the balsam. The blend smells wonderful, it has a very "old" feel to it. It is a bit smoky oo, but not in a heavy way, more of a wisp of smoke scenting a breeze. I am keeping the imp, it is probably going to be a future 5ml purchase.

Fruity, boozy, and delicious. Well, I didn't drink it, I wanted to though. It is a tart fruit, and though I've never noticed a strong smell from pomegranates, this does smell like them. I can also smell the booze, it smells more of Gin to me than Vodka. It is quite strong on me, and has great throw. Another hit from the fruity scents for summer search.

Sweet musky peach, this is wonderful. I have been looking for a peach scent for summer and this is it. The musk keeps this from being too sugary and young. The heliotrope and bergamot don't seem to be coming out, but that may change. I can smell the oakmoss, it gives this a slightly masculine tone. I like this, it is fruity and playful, a definate keeper for summer.

Olfactory caffeine: Wake up, Stay Awake with BPAL

Cheshire Cat is bright and cheerful, all that citrus. Makes me feel awake, and it doesn't last long on me, so you would still be free to scent for the day. -
Fruity, spicy, sweet, lightly floral. This is very fruity wet, and it is warm and lively. There is a floral here, but it doesn't overpower the blend. The bit of spice is wonderful. It is a very strong blend too, a little dab gave long wear and lots of throw. I was a bit worried when I saw the initial reviews, florals don't like me. But this blend is wonderful.

Oiled, broken in leather. It is the leather scent of a broken in jacket, soft and buttery. There is also a raw leather note, the rawhide? It is a very mascluline scent. It is cowboy scent.

Creamy, sweet and light florals. While wet, I get the creamy butterscotch note, but it quickly goes away as it dries. Then I get a lovely pineapple fruit note. The florals are light, and the sweetness of the blend keeps them just peeking out around the edges. It is a very nice blend, I am hoping as it ages the creamy note will last a bit longer as I really like it.

Mmm, roses. I love this, it is dewy, cold, green, fresh cut roses. It is gorgeous. I usually don't go for florals, but I love this. It smells like a rose covered in icy frost. Fresh cut, still smelling green and herbal. And a little dab will do, it is strong and has a great throw. I hope it comes back next year, I will be buying multiple bottes if it does, if it doesn't, I will certaintly cherish this bottle.

Hmm, I smell honey, amber, and something spicy. It doesn't burn like cinnamon though, so I'm not sure what spice it is. I like this one, it reminds me of cinnamon toast. Cozy and warm.

I think in the fact that they are both female children, definately related. My Lucy, is 7/28, Leo through and through. She can roar loudly. Here, it is my youngest son who is into the perfume oils. He loves the Dragon's Blood blends, he has a whole row in the imp chest. Today he wore Dragon's Hide, then went out to slay dragons with his sword. The stump will never be the same. Maybe reminding her that the imp won't hurt her, if she isn't trying to do olympic style trundle bed jumping would help? Hopefully the nervousness will wear off soon and she can get back to enjoying perfume.

Love this. It has the wonderful smoky boozy smell of Hellfire, but with mint and no leather. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Next order 5ml. at Beth's skill.

When your favorite GC blends are discontinued

I am finding that the dry down of Tarot: The Lovers is a lot like Red Moon. Both have the same earthy, herbal, fruity notes. -
Hmmm... I don't get any cinnamon. Lemony, sweet, maybe a touch of ginger. It is wonderful, tart, sweet, and a bit spicy. It starts out fresh and lemony. As it dries down, I get a hint of spicy ginger, and it becomes sweeter. I like this a lot.

Jasmine, and something sweet and herbal. It was a giftie imp from the lab. I like this, it starts out as a strong jasmine scent, but the jasmine fades and as it dries down I get a warm, sweet, and herbal scent. It is very comforting scent. I like it at bed time, it really makes me feel warm and protected. Not going to push Somnus out of the bedtime slot, but it is a warm and comforting blend.

This was one of my first voodoo blends, it was a gift from a fellow forum member when I bought imps from them. I got a sharp burnt smell from the vial, on though it was a woodsy, dark, musky patchouli scent. I liked it, but it goes through a stage where it smells almost burnt, to get there, which I didn't like. So I gifted it to a swapper who had it on their wishlist.

Very sharply cinnamon. It smells like cinnamon, freshly ground. It is very spicy and not much of anything else on me. It also burned my skin if I put it anywhere but on my wrists, and it even felt a bit warm there... It went off to swaps, I couldn't stand the burning sensation, and the cinnamon was a bit much.

Candied fruit and tobacco. This is a great blend, it smells like tobacco, and fruit baskets, and something kind of spicy. It has a sweet honey note too, which makes it smell like candied fruits. I like this one, it has a late summer roadside fruit stand smell. As for its voodoo properties, I haven't noticed, but the next time I wear it I'll try to remember to pick up a lottery ticket.

I like this one a lot, I wear it when I need to feel more powerful. I get smoky, sweet, patchouli, and light floral notes. It is a strong scent, making me feel as if I can do anything. I also wonder if there is amber in here? I get a almost powdery dry down from amber, that I love, and this dries down in that way. A dry dusty warm powder, bringing the spice, florals, and patchouli together. Mmmm.

Spicy, sweet, and herbs. Mmm, it smells good, it is a comforting scent to me. It is spicy and herbal. There is a floral here too, not sure what it is, but it is not overpowering the blend. All together, it smells nice, a bit soapy at first, but it goes away quickly leaving an interesting herbal, sweet, floral behind.

Lemony, floral, and as I am happily married to my best friend, I'm not looking for the voodoo properties either. It is a great floral blend however, even for me a floral hater. The lemon keeps everything smelling less flower shop, and more summery day in the garden. Off it will go to a new home though, as I have enough BPAL (is there such a thing?), without keeping anything I don't love.

Sweet, tangy fruits. I didn't get incense, just a fruity, earthy, sweet scent. I like it though, it is sweet and tangy, and as it dries down there is a darker smoky note. The imp is staying, not sure about a bigger bottle yet.

This is almost burnt smelling on me, but in a good way. The bay is sharp and pungent, the honey adds a sweetness, and the burning incense is smokey and dark. It has an herbal quality to it, very green smelling. I am not sure about it yet, but I am keeping the imp, I need to try it a few more times and see...

Crisp, woods, and a subtle sweet berry.... This one makes me think of fall, it is a wonderful deep and green scent. It is walking in the woods, when autumn just starts. The leaves are still green, but there is a herby dry quality to the air. The berry in this one, is very light, it sweetens it, but doesn't make it go sugary. There is a light floral, almost like dried out flowers, with just a ghost of their former glory. Love it, going to have to get a bigger bottle, oh in July, so it will be here just in time for fall.

A dry rose, and a bit of spicy flower, carnation? It is fresh and floral, and not quite me. It is a wonderful rose scent though, and if I wore florals, I would wear this.

One of my first imps. The first batch of imps I bought, this was thrown in from the seller as a freebie. It was tarted and everything. It is a berry sweet floral, but on me more floral than berry. Not quite my thing. I like the intial wet stage, it was berries and grass. Then the dreaded floral came out and drowned them. Off to a, hopefully, happier home it went.
