Oil reminded me of the bubblegum (read sweet) type dragon's blood oils found at Azure Green and other occult stores. In fact, it seems many occult oils smell this way. After a while it mellowed out from the bubblegum/dragon's blood to more of a floral. It is strong and last more than the average oil I have tried, but I mainly got this one for de-hexing myself (don't ask). So the power of the oil sold me more than the scent. I get the idea from this that dragon's blood has used to cover up maybe pungent herbs used in such brews. I tend to do this with my own witchy oils. Put an incensey smell over rue, mugwort or anything that can smell horrid on, but does its job. Five hours later if smells like old lady flowers to me--violet, maybe...I am definately keeping the imp of this and can't really buy anymore since it has been taken out of circulation. An imp is enough for my magickal intent, so that is fine by me.

Nice floral that smells great on. Very fresh and sultry. I like the undertones of moss and evergreen, though they fade away too quickly. Smells like night flowers by a watersource after a rain. Or maybe that is humidity. As it progresses it does smell a lot like AIRS' White Lace, which I already have a couple bottles of. But if I didn't have those, I would consider this one...maybe as a sub once my other bottles are gone because AIRS doesn't make White Lace anymore. Good show!

This oil smelled of very strong bergamot when first put on. In fact, that was all I could smell until 15 minutes it mellowed to a woodsy spicy light scent. It reminded me of the notes left by Nephilim, even though they don't share any notes, which is strange. The notes at the end were good, but it was a little too late for me. It faded quickly too. If I wanted a bergamot buzz, I could just use a bergamot oil, which I have, though I don't wear it since I moved to San Diego, for a good reason. I tend to avoid these type of oils as well as Earl Grey tea because I have fair skin and in San Diego. I have heard bergamot oil can make you skin super sun sensitive. Try saying that three times fast. So this one will probably be traded and put in the category of Hemlock, another oil that mainly smelled of a single note (bayberry) which I already have.

Holy fruit, Batman! This is a strong one, both in the bottle and on the skin. I couldn't at first figure out what I was smelling. It just smelled strong. It wasn't horrible, but at the same time, I knew it wasn't something I would want to wear that often. Which is strange because it was pleasant. Subconscious reaction, perhaps? It lasts more than the usual oil on me. It does have a rich, manly odor to it. Musky yet flowery fruity. I normally love these masculine type oils better than girly scents, but this one, this confusing one. This complex one. What does it mean? Why is this one so hard to define? It is like an acquaintance you love talking to, but have no feelings about after they leave the party. But you loved the conversation. It was very smart, witty and bright. But yet, it is done. I am complete apathetic to this oil. Don't care if it says hi or not, don't care if I do, don't care if I don't. Weird, huh? This is what Nephilim is to me. Make of it what you will. I discovered from reading other posts here, that what I am smelling is most likely fig. So I have a aloof yet pleasant attachment to fig. I don't care if it comes or goes. So I may trade this imp with someone who wants it. It is the first time I actually thought of doing this, but this imp won't get used much, I can tell. Nyx

Very nice! Smells very mossy on me when it is first put on. The scent of woods, new mown hay, crypt grass, dead leaves and moss. It is stronger than a lot of the other oils I have tried. After awhile I feared it was going to go sour on me. I can only say it was starting to smell like Love's Baby Soft. (If people are my age on here.) Then it smelled a bit like Goth Rosary's Crypt scent, only more cryptic. But, after an hour, it came back as mossy as ever. I put it on about 4pm and still can smell the remnants, so that is a good run for an oil. Works good behind the ears and in the curve of the bosom. Next to Djnn, this is my next favorite as I go. I am keeping a list for a big order in the future.

When I first put this oil on, it was strong and smelled like a fruity, yet spicy floral. As time went on, it faded quickly to an almost grape candy smell. From there it faded a bit more to a Sweet Tart type scent. Smelled like powdered sugar candy, which is fine, but not a scent I would wear all the time and not long lasting enough for all day or even half day wear. I would keep the imp I got, but I was expecting something more. I swear the first time I put it on, it was a lot stronger and smelled a lot better than the second time, but the kicker is I applied more the second time so I have no idea what is going on with my skin chemistry! Update: Tried it a 3rd time and this time it is a lot more plumlike. I can really smell the cranberry. I am currently trading this one, but might mourn the lost of the imp since this one is really odd and different with each sampling. I can't help thinking "sugarplum fairy" which this one but it may be the season. It is very rich right now, but I know it will fade quickly. I can also sense the ginger for the first time. I think I would buy a bottle of this if I wanted something different from what I usually wear. If I wanted a fruit based oil, since most fruit scents seem to become very sweet on me and this one isn't. Another update: 12 hours later, smells like a grape sucker on me. I really would like this one to work out because I would like a fruity oil for a change. But I don't think it is this one.

I wonder why this was discontinued because I really like it. It is a strong floral and I usually hate florals, but the scent is backed all by cypress and a few non-floral smells. Seems to be lasting on me longer than average. Sigh. Well, i guess it is back to the drawing board. I'd buy a bottle of this if it was still available.

Very strong oil for a change! My only problem with it is that it reminds me of patchouli mixed with apricot oil. Since I have patchouli and apricot oils, I can pretty well blend them myself and come up with the same thing. I can still smell the apricot the day after I put it on, which is nice because a lot of these oils don't last very long on me. It is a nice idea and interesting combo, the smell of earth with the smell of sweetness. I didn't get any "pedophile" vibe from this, should I have?

If you go by the Celtic language, it is pronounced "Sow-en," or "SOWN", depends what place you are from. People in America tend to call it "Sam-hain" because there is a band called Samhain who pronounce the name that way. That is probably where the first American got it from. We like to butcher nice words! From my experience in Scotland, they pronounced it "SOWN". But their accent does make it sound a bit like "sow-en". My 2 Cents, Nyx

Kweku Anansi I have an imp of this and cannot find it anywhere on the website. Anyone know where I can find info? Nyx

Smells a lot like a combo of Airs oils to me. Either White Lace or China Moon, which are both exotic florals. This one lasts longer on me then any other one I have tried so far, but since I have bottles of White Lace and China Moon from Airs, I will once again savor the imp but not buy a bottle of it.

Smells like this old scratch and sniff book I used to have. It was the smell of clover. This has a very strong pine scent with something back it up, like mushroom maybe? Straight out of the bottle, it smells like artificial pine. Then as it dries, it turns into a nice woodsy scent with a wet underbelly. It doesn't last long though. Only a few hours. Pity. I have been to the Black Forest in Germany, which really didn't smell like much of anything.

I tried this one out today and it smells like Bayberry oil on me. It lasts a lot longer than some of the other oils I have tried. But, since I can buy a similar Bayberry oil for $3 locally, I have to ambition to buy a bottle of this, but I will savor the imp. Nice green color too. Absinthe green.

It smelled very spicy and woody on my skin, dark and wicked. I have to say it is my favorite of the scents I have tried so far. It seemed to last a little longer too. I don't know if my skin messed with it, but I didn't get the smokey smell it listed in the description. To me if was very robust and strong, like soil in the forest after a rain, with an almost deep spice base of patchouli like herbs and woods like cedar. I loved it.
