A deep velvety Cabernet Sauvignon with hints of plum, black cherry, rose petals, coffee bean, and smoky oak. Barrel and bottle aged, with a smooth and spicy hit mid-palate. Hints of Dagon's tarry black incense and clotted blood complete this well-rounded, robust indulgence. In the bottle, this smells like everything I hate- a deep red wine scent. (well, actually, I love red wine, just not ON me) Living up to my motto of always skin testing a fragrance, I dab some on. Yep, hate. Smells like wine and something burnt.

First thought- Marcilla! (checks notes for Marcilla) Must be the lilac. As it dries down, it becomes less like Marcilla, a bit more masculine. Very nice.

This is really nice, and I don't usually like aquatic scents! Reminds me a little of Parenthope. fresh and fruity, a bit salty

This smells really nice. Bright cranberries with something "sparkling" that makes me think of a fizzy alcoholic drink Thankfully no mint. A definite keeper.

Yes! That is it! I couldn't figure out what it smelled like when first applied until I read the other reviews. It would drive me crazy otherwise, not being able to point it down. Rye bread! with maybe some caraway seeds and still warm from the oven. Interesting.

This smells like exactly what is listed, with maybe a bit of pie thrown in. Smells very nice, but not my thing. Def. for those who want to smell like a key lime pie with dark chocolate shavings on top.

Wow. First sniff and I thought "Grandma!" Took me awhile to figure out why, but I think it is the powdery rose geranium smell. It lasts for a long time, then fades to a tobacco - rose geranium scent.

Nice; Kind-of a dry peppery scent.

Not my thing. This is mostly just a confused mess of vaguely floral scents. If I had to pick one note out, I would say rose, but that's not even listed.

Dislike. Smells like something that has turned bad. I think it is the Frankinsense. Never seems to be good on me.

This is maddening. It reminds me of another scent, but I can't pin it down. Another BPAL? A commercial scent? Not a perfume at all but something else? Argh. I could swear that there is some cedar in there. No? really? are you sure? So, cedar with tobacco smoke, some leather, and maybe a drop or two of Dee. ETA: I don't think this is a perfume I would wear out. More like something to sprinkle on while sitting at home, and imagine I'm with a sexy cowboy.

I made four combinations in imps: 1) Black Lace + Black Heart 2) Black Lace +Black Death 3) Black Death + Black Heart 4) Black Lace + Black Heart + Black Death They all smell so good! I recommend it to anyone who has all three- mix them in a decant and see which combination you like best. Anyway, Black Heart all by itself is nice as well.

This smells exactly like it says, starts out very much wood and olive, then morphs to more of a leathery olive scent. Sadly, not my thing. Would be nice for a man though I think.

very light, powdery, nutty scent. Disappears quickly.

I'm a little disappointed- all I get is cardamom, whereas I was hoping for more coconut. This reminds me very much of the Cinnamom & Cardamom tea from Republic of Tea.

I can't really pin this one down. I was hoping for more blackberry but this just smells like a mix of everything. Oh, and maybe some mimosa? I was hoping for more like Tissue from last year.

Definitely licorice. My husband chided me for eating candy. But I haven't been eating candy! What's that smell then? Must be my perfume. Yep, it is. Something "off" about this scent, but I can't put my finger on it. So on me, it smells like licorice with a slight hint of cherry. Not really for me. Prefer Kyoto, Voyeurs among the cherry blossoms, and Hanami to this.

hmm, I like this but don't love it. If I have to pick one of Act 2 to keep forever, I guess it would be this one, but of all the acts, it would be something else. (like Coral Snake). Reminds me of Snake Charmer but much more patchouli. Almost entirely patchouli. Very longlasting and very distinctive. ETA: My bottle is from 2008. It has aged well, very nice. Will get more when the Carnaval comes back. I have to be careful what skin I put it on though, because sometimes it burns. Also, not for warm weather, more like fall.

The first note I get is berry, raspberry, mixed with tea, cream, and chocolate. Delicious! and I usually don't go for tea scents.

this smell like a red leather purse. not just any leather, but red. I don't get anything other than leather.

chilly rose vanilla snowballs? I don't think so. More like pink snow. Not rose, not vanilla, pink. Smells very nice, very subtle. Usually don't like snow scents, but this one is great. Makes me feel like a little girl.

Don't really like this. I think it is the tiny bit of tree moss that is ruining everything. Dang it!

this smells really great. Like a mix between Bow&Crown of Conquest, coconut, and tobacco. Winner!

Ergh. Don't like this. Reminds me of Languor and black tea. Scrubbed it off.
