Mmmm first chocolate then white chocolate- then vanilla. Almost every other scent fades into the background and all I end up with is Vanilla with slight, occasional hints of other scents. The thing is, I LOVE this!!! I have tried every vanilla scent I could find before BPAL, and they ALWAYS morph into strange, not-yummy things on me. This is the scent I have been trying to find all along!! It makes me think of the yumminess of adding mexican pure vanilla extract to fresh sugar cookie batter... That yummy, seriously!

I SWEAR that I smell honey with this orange!! I used to make a honey-fruit salad that smelled JUST like this!! Mmmm... I don't think I would wear this all the time, but it does smell good!! Again, sniffing myself, I must be mistaking the fig for honey..... It's driving me nuts!

VERY MUCH Blackberries and cream! I am picturing warm, blackberry-filled crepes... Crepes instead of cake, I guess? Soft and not overwhelmingly sweet, but not a hide-in-the-closet sweet! (Ok sorry excuse the bad pun there, I couldn't resist!!).

As almost everyone else here has said, Honey-ish, vanilla-ish, and quite yummy!!! I get a very fruity scent at first, with the underlay of the honey and vanilla. And then everything tones right now and the dragon's blood takes over. Yummy!! Very girlish, fun and flirty. I can't see me wearing this all the time, but I can see keeping this imp for those fun, flirty days!!

Ok... So again I kick myself and tell myself to ALWAYS follow my own advice and TRY IT BEFORE I JUDGE IT!! I smelled Pumkpin II in the bottle and thought- erm.... no... But then I came back to it and pondered it for a moment before giving in and slathering it on.... Wow... I seem to be on a roll lately, all the LE BPALs that found me due to my ISO posting are showing up nicely on me!! Still not as yummy as my Jack, but the lovely floral (light and floaty, never knew I liked Carnation so much!) blends right in, and the nice softly spicy undertone holds it all together. My sister in law stopped by and tried it on too and while it smells much different on her, it still smells yummy! On me it's more pumpkin (yay) and on her it was more carnation and spice.

At first it was so strong it made my eyes literally water!!!! But I left it alone. And now I am glad I did!! It's still kinda strong, after drydown, but now the sugar melts through- literally smelling like it's melting through- and now it's smelling nicely sugar-coated. Slightly vanilla-y. I don't see this as a top 10, but I can certainly see whipping it out and dabbing (no slathering for this implet!) it on for the holiday season.....

Whitechapel was a frimp in my last BPAL order..... It was way too strong for me, and did NOT amp well with my skin chemistry- as a matter of fact I had to go scrub it off!! Then my DH let me try Midnight Kiss on him (which he loved) and so I smiled pretty and batted my eyelashes with Whitechapel in hand, and so he grinned and held out his wrist (soooo enabled! ). Sooooo.... Whitechapel smelled ok on him, it was still a little lime-y for our taste. But... it's ok. Then... awhile later he walked past me (about two hours had passed)... Mmmm!!!! STILL not as delicious as Midnight Kiss, but DEFINITELY yummy on him!!! Now, what other scents can I slather on him.......

Mme. Moriarty, Misfortune Teller (2006)

Slight incense smell right off the bat..... Then the red musk and the vanilla bean start to bleed through, and the patchouli leaf takes a back seat. It's still there, harping from the back seat (turn left, turn left!) but the vanilla bean and red musk are ignoring it! I don't smell plum, but I am sure it is there somewhere!! I still can't decide if I like the scent- it seems elusive...... -
MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... This was a frimp in a package a lovely forumite sent me...... OMG!!!! I'm totally melting.... I put it on and then forgot about it... Didn't notice it really at first... Then I turned my head to look away from my computer and caught this HEAVENLY whiff of something... It took me a minute to realize it was me!!!! Pure vanilla musky chocolately goodness... Slightly spicey undertone... I can't even recall what this smelled like on me wet, since as I said I actually forgot about it!! But WOW!!!! And what throw!!! I will DEFINITELY be attempting to hunt down more Freak Show!!!!!!! Wish me luck!

I decided to actually make lotion from some of my imps the other day for my niece- who LOVES Beaver Moon. I think I'll do the same for my girls. Easier for them to apply... And stretches the impies waaaaay out! Also it helps them not slather on TOO much to be at school all day! -

My ten-year-old (I can almost hear her now, whining- mom, I'm a PRE-TEEN!) has been picking on me since I picked up the BPAL habit. Then the other day I received my Beaver Moon, and all of a sudden she abruptly changed her tone.... Now its, "what are YOU wearing today, and what in your box can I wear today too?" She wore my Sugar Skull today. She's very much into current girly things- clothes and boys and gossip and talking on the phone.... Then my second-oldest daughter (nine) came up behind her, VERY curious as to what we were getting into. She turned her nose up at the Sugar Skull but went crazy for the Pumpin V. She's me torn jeans, video-games, rough and tumble girl, so that doesn't surprise me much! Which of course brought my five-year-old daughter running. Where her two sisters congregate she inevitably appears. She couldn't decide which sister she wanted to copy more (she refused to pick her own scent) and so wore Sugar Skull on one wrist and Pumpkin V on the other. THANK HEAVEN that they seemed to do ok on her (didn't clash). Needless to say, with my Creepy and their scents, my van was VERY yummy smelling on the way to school today........ -
As I am sure everyone else here has said: Chocolate. Creamy, decadent, milk chocolate. My favorite chocolate brand is a little place out here in Western Washington called Oh Chocolate. http://www.ohchocolate.com/ OMG!!! Such yummy goodness- and Bliss is how their store smells when you walk in and can see them mixing and decorating and dripping real chocolate right there in front of your face. Pure torture- until they ask you what you want to sample. Sample? Me? FREE?! Of course I have never walked out without a 1 lb box (currently selling at $32/24 pieces). Mmmmmmmm.... Bliss brings back GREAT memories! DEFINITELY loving it! I made a lotion with Bliss- and it's soooooo warming to slather on!!

Pure yummy apricot cobbler, from the bottle and all the way through dry-down on me.... I LOVE apricot cobbler!!! This scent makes me feel very warm and cozy inside. The scents to tend to morph slight betwee stages (more clove, less clove) but through it all it's just different variations of apricot cobbler.... Hmmm... Might have to make some....

I really really really wanted to try Creepy- and after posting my ISO list, I got three imps!!! So glad I did!! In the bottle this smelled very boozy- strong caramel (LOVE caramel!). When I first put it on I could immediately smell nothing but apple!!! Where's the caramel? After about 10 minutes- whew!!! No way!! That kinda smells like dirt! After about 30 minutes- now THAT'S more like it. Yummy yummy yummy!! Except on me this smells more like CANDIED apple than caramel apple- you know with that hard red shell- still incredibly yummy. I have been craving those caramel apple suckers that come out every fall. Everytime I catch a whiff of myself I get hungry.... LOL! If you see me licking myself- try NOT to be alarmed!!! Update: Ok so I have been smelling this yummy-ness for several hours now, and it's been driving me NUTS what it reminds me of!! Starbucks Caramel Apple Cider.... Mmmmmmm..... *drool*

In the Bottle: I saw cherry cola on a few of the posts above- but actually to me it smells more like Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper after it's gone flat and warm- which is good for me because I kinda like flat Dr. Pepper. Wet: Hm.... Kinda spicy, I can smell some of the sandalwood coming through, but I like it!! But there's a sweet undertone holding it all together (fruity? chocolatey? Hard to pin down). 10 Minutes Later: Still slightly sweet, almost in that soda-pop-syrup sort of way, but at the same time the sandalwood and musk and balancing out the sweetness. Slight incense-like smell now, and again I like it!! An Hour Later: Not too much different from the above description. I still like it!! I didn't give this scent a second look when I first read the description, in spite of the cocoa absolute. Boy, was I wrong!! I guess this just a lesson in keeping my mind open to possibilities! Strange, too, that out of my new shipment the first one I put on was the Midnight Kiss (a frimp for me!). If I had to pick a brief description for this scent, it would be: The finest liquer we have to offer! UPDATE: Huh!!! After a bit I still couldn't decide if I liked my imp of Midnight Kiss or not- I keep swinging between liking it and not liking it. Yes and No both. I was letting (making) my DH sniff some imps and he sniffed that one and liked it. I told him it did make me think of a more masculine scent. He said "go for it" and held out his wrist. YUUUUUUUMMMMMMY! It smells soooo good on him!! Waaaay better than it did on me. So this is now a keeper for sure, and even better now my DH is wearing BPAL too!! (Come to the Dark Side....... Dum dum dum dum de dum dum de dum)

Hmmm.... In the bottle: Mmmmm.... I like this one!! Wet: A little strong on the floral, but I still like it. Not love it, but like it. 10 Minutes Later: Uh-oh, smelling kinda funny... I'm a little worried now. An Hour Later: Soap!!! I smell just like hospital soap!! And I can't stand that smell!! Get it off get it off get it off where's my Jack? Well I liked it fine at first, but I'm afraid it didn't smell good on me!! I recommend it to anyone it will work on, though! The cherry spears through the floral- kind of like disarono- for lack of a better description. Syrupy cherries, like marachino cherries- I could eat a whole jar of them. I may scent a sachet with this, though!

Jack was my first BPAL fragrance, and I was immediately in LOVE with it!!!! In the bottle: Hard to pin down. Buttery, sweet, pumpkin-peachy. Wet: My DH calls it buttered popcorn, and I have to agree- fresh, dripping-butter popcorn. Yum!!! 10 minutes later: The butter calms down and now the peach flares up... Still yummy!!!! I want to lick my wrist- but that's probably not a good idea. An hour later: Peachy-pumpkin. I can think of no better description. I've had peach-pumpkin bread pudding, and I swear it smells the same as this. Buttery and lightly spiced with nutmeg and cloves- the scent warms as my skin warms, and cools slightly as my skin cools. I still want to lick my wrists, although it's easier to resist now. All in all I could smell this all day- I've worn it every day since it was gifted to me- and I've scattered it through my house and car so I can smell it all day. I have had many compliments and people stopping to sniff me as I wear this scent, too.
