Wet: Tobacco and... oudh. More tobacco than oudh, but ... that darn oudh is making me nervous. (As always.) Some light sweetness overall to the blend as well. Dry: The oudh is gone.. which for me, is good! Oudh can take over a blend for me, but we're on good terms here. I'm mostly getting tobacco with a touch of plum. I think I'm amping up the tobacco so much, it's unfortunately drowning out all the other notes. The notes are amazing.. but this was a skin chemistry fail.

Wet: Sweet apples and brown sugar. The apple smells a bit.. perfume-y to me, if that makes sense? Dry: Caramel apple cookie? Nay. Warm apple crumble? Yay! That perfume-y-ness from the wet stage is gone; I'm left with warm, sweet apples, and a crumble with some cinnamon. (For those with sensitive skin - my skin is sensitive as well, and I didn't have any issues wearing this.) As a foodie scent lover, I like this, but it's not love; especially since I'm missing the caramel and cookie components. For a yummy cookie scent, I prefer Butter Rum Cookie or Sugar Cookie!

First spritz, the cypress was waaay too strong for me, and there was some astringent quality that I just was not having. A few minutes later though... it TOTALLY transformed. Spot on, this smells like pomegranate smoke, or some kind of pomegranate incense. It's lovely, and dare I say... sexy.

Wet: Super clean and musky white florals. Borderline-soap smelling. (Classy, expensive soap though!) Dry: More or less the same as the wet stage, just a bit powdery now as well. I like the idea of this, but it doesn't mesh well with my skin chemistry.

Wet: Apples and... potpourri? Why are you doing this to me, nose? Dry: Whew! The potpourri has faded away. I'm left with an incredibly light apple scent that's slightly sweeter than the wet stage. It's a little too light for me, but I think I'll save the decant to mix with some hair stuff.

Dragon’s Milk is one of my all time faves! That being said.. I’m not getting much Dragon’s Milk here. Upon spraying, I smell plastic and pumpkin spice. Luckily the plastic scent doesn’t last long, and I’m left with pumpkin spice smelling hair. It’s not bad... but I’m missing a key scent here.

Wet: Myrrh, wine, and... cherry fruit roll ups. This blend is as classy as I am! Dry: Wine, a touch of myrrh, and cherries. Not doing the cherry fruit roll up thing anymore; the sweetness has calmed down quite a bit. It is... good. Really, really good. I feel like this is something I would be wearing in 20 years when my husband dies a mysterious death and I get caught running off with a handsome stranger with millions hidden away in an offshore bank. (Don't worry, my husband already knows.) I guess what I'm trying to say is... I like it. This one will probably be a bottle upgrade.

(Side note: I haven't sniffed The Lurid Library in years, and can't remember what I thought of it.) Wet: Pencil shavings, some kind of dusty musk scent, and leather. Pumpkin, where you at? Dry: The pencil shavings have mostly calmed down (aka they're still kinda there, just not as crazy as earlier); otherwise that dusty musk and leather are still there. You know what still hasn't arrived? The pumpkin. Not a winner for me.

Wet: Ooooo, lots of snuggly musk with a sweet, creamy milk note. Warm. Comforting. I want a blanket that smells like this! Dry: Pretty much spot on to the wet stage, only slightly sweeter! I like this. I know it's not something I want to smell like often, but I'm happy to have a decant!
-
Wet: Chocolate and lavender! I imagine this is what a chocolate bar with lavender would smell like. Dry: The chocolate has left the building! Seriously. No chocolate. Anywhere. What I'm left with is lavender with vanilla, and a faint trace of sage. I like it, but.. I want the chocolate back!

OG Sugar Skull is one of my favorite Weenie blends ever.. I have high hopes for this! Wet: Sugar Skull and pumpkin syrup? The original definitely has some maple syrup going on, with this one I'd say it's like a pumpkin-dosed maple syrup. Dry: This one doesn't really morph on me at all; it's still Sugar Skull plus pumpkin syrup! Like Sugar Skull? Like pumpkin scents? You'll probably like this. For me, I prefer the original Sugar Skull to the pumpkin version, but I do quite like this! Holding on to my decant.

Wet: Sweet aquatic with leather and rubber? There's a lot going on here, and my nose is confused. Dry: Super salty, slightly sweet, aquatic. Tiniest bit of leather. No Snake Oil here. What is going on here? I actually don't mind the dry down at all! It's... nothing at all like I was expecting, but I don't think I'm alone with that opinion.

Wet: Oh man, this smells like a wax tart I used to burn YEARS ago! I agree with zz that the lollipop note here seems to be apple, but there's something almost a tiny bit tropical smelling here too. Apple with pineapple, maybe? I'm getting the tiniest amount of Snake Oil in the background. Dry: Sweet, tropical candy and Snake Oil. YUM. I still think it's apple in here, maybe some pineapple, maybe some orange? Maybe it's just the candy note mixing with the Snake Oil that smells tropical to me? Who knows. Don't care. It's awesome. This WILL be upgraded to a big bottle. (To those wondering, since I mentioned an apple note; this is nothing like Coral Snake.)

Wet: Cocoa powder and Snake Oil! Much stronger on the chocolate part than the Snake Oil. Dry: Sweet milk chocolate (no more "powder" scent) and Snake Oil. Super straightforward, they work very well together, and honestly.... I like this better than Boomslang. I'll see myself out. Considering upgrading this one to a bottle!

Wet: Something here straight away is reminding me of The Other Miss Forcible. Something smells a bit like.. butterscotch and tobacco? I think you could see the confused expression on my face if you were in person next to me, because this scent is throwing me off. Not getting any Snake Oil, or popcorn. Dry: Ah, the Snake Oil makes an appearance! There's still something here that's giving me a The Other Miss Forcible vibe; I don't know what! Something about that scent makes my nose kind of crinkle up, and it's happening here too. (Not in a good way.) This combination of notes just isn't working for me.

Wet: SOUR BLUE RASPBERRY SNAKE OIL GUMMY CANDY. I wasn't sure about sour candy with Snake Oil.. but it is GOOD. Dry: I would say there's more of the sour gummi candy than Snake Oil upon drydown; it's also less sour than the wet stage. This is such a fun scent, and like all my other Snake Oil blends, I think this one will get even better with age. Potential bottle upgrade, for sure!

Wet: Oooo, more red musk and cotton candy! This seems to be a popular combination as of late. It doesn't actually smell like cotton candy to me, though; it's more like... red musk and (cherry or strawberry) starburst. Dry: Still red musk and starburst! Yummy. Into it. I really like this, but I'm not sure if I need a bottle since I already have Kai Kai (red musk and cotton candy).
-
Wet: White florals, with... no sugar that I can detect. My best guess, as far as what the white florals are, would be lily and tuberose. Dry: Hm, still no sugar here; just a very delicate white floral scent. While not bad, it's not what I was looking for.
-
Wet: Honeyed lillies!.. and that's it. Rooting for the white pear to make an appearance! Also, this villain has some THROW. Dry: The honeyed lillies are still the stars of the show, but I'm getting the white musk now as well. Sadly, the pear never made an appearance. A tad bit powdery. If you're a lover of lily scents, this may be a winner for you! It's just not for me.
-
Wet: Creamy goat milk and marshmallow with lavender. Dry: Smooth, milky, creamy lavender. Comforting and dreamy, to the max. It probably doesn't need to be said (again), but this would be a fantastic sleep scent. This might be a bottle upgrade for me, as I can't stop sniffing my arm!

Bourbon Vanilla & Yellow Carnation
donkehpoo replied to zankoku_zen's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
Wet: Spicy carnation and a touch of vanilla! I'm not getting any of the bourbon at all. Dry: The carnation smells slightly spicier than the wet stage, and I'm still not getting the "bourbon" part of the "bourbon vanilla". Otherwise, this remains very similar to the wet stage. I like this, and if you're a fan of carnation, I think you'd really enjoy this. -
Wet: Blood musk (which smells pretty darn similar to red musk) and cotton candy. Yum! Dry: A very sweet strawberry cotton candy and blood musk scent! If you've tried Kai Kai, it smells similar to that(on me), but with the sweetness amped up. Since I have a bottle of Kai Kai already I won't grab a bottle of this, but I'll definitely keep my decant!
-
Wet: Oh yes. LOTS of honey here, followed up by the pecan pie. Delicious. Dry: Same as the wet stage! Honey, and pecan pie. I'm not getting any type of a "cream" note here, but I don't think I'm really missing it. This is lovely!
-
Wet: I might be shocking someone by typing this... but it smells like cherries and patchouli. (Patchouli being the stronger of the two!) I'd agree with torikitty that it's a woodier patchouli here. Dry: I was hoping for a 50/50 (or close to) tango between the patchouli and cherry... but now it's more like 95% patchouli and 5% cherry. If you're a fan of patchouli-dominant blends, this is worth trying out; I really wish the cherry note was stronger, though.

To me, the hair gloss smells SPOT ON to the perfume. Cake? Vanilla? Currants? All boxes here are checked! As a word of warning, I would say less is more with this one; she has some SERIOUS throw, and staying power! If you’re like me and only wash your hair about twice a week, you’ll be able to smell this in your hair still the next day. Plan accordingly.
