  1. Wet: Warm (and completely decadent smelling)vanilla, with orchid and strawberries. (The richness of the vanilla might be a mix of the vanilla + honey, but nothing is reading as a straight honey note to me.)

Dry: Warm vanilla is still the queen, with just a touch of strawberry. The orchid is pretty light, but it's still present as well. (So strongest to least: vanilla, strawberry, orchid.) The bergamot never showed his(her?) face, but I don't think I'm necessarily missing it.

This is like a classier, more elegant version of a foodie scent. So good.

  2. Wow, this hasn't been reviewed in quite a while! While I didn't review this when I first got it, I will say that in fresh vs. aged, the fresh version smelled far more herbal and more masculine.

Wet: The verbena stands out the most; it's very tart and in-your-face. The tea and lavender are hanging around, but not nearly as strong as the lemon scent from the verbena.

Dry: Verbena is still the first thing I can smell, but it's not as strong. There's an added warmth to the scent now, that I believe is coming from the white sandalwood. The tea and lavender are in the background, but just barely there.

I really like this! (Also, this scent could be a cousin of Embalming Fluid.)

  3. Wet: Sweet, tropical flowers. Plumeria? Just a touch of ginger as well. I swear I can smell a little bit of coconut, too.

Dry: If you were outside on a warm day smelling tropical flowers, I imagine it would smell similar to this. The coconut has disappeared, and the ginger is barely hanging on. A light, sweet, somehow warm, tropical floral scent.

  4. "bought this specially for you. I remember you said you 'go for merlot.' "

    "I said I worked at Merlotte's."

Wet: Sweet merlot, and a little bit of rose.

Dry: Stays similar to the wet stage; sweet merlot and roses. While the merlot was the star of the wet stage, I'd say the roses and merlot are about 50/50 now. The roses, by some miracle, haven't turned soapy at all.  This is lovely!

  5. Wet: The mahogany is the strongest note here. Something warm, sweet and spicy as well; it's not reading as chai to me, but I'm sure that's part of it.

Dry: NOW it's reading more like chai to me. The mahogany stuck around, but (thankfully for me) it's not as dominant as before. Kind of a warm, spicy library scent. I wish that I was getting some type of fur note, that would have made it extra cozy!

  6. Wet: Black musk? Blood musk? Dark-smelling, musky fur with a hint of ozone.

Dry: Oh, hi clove! Dark musk, fur, ozone, and clove. The fur scent is a little stronger than it was in the wet stage, but that dark muskiness is the most prominent thing I can smell.

  7. Wet: Chocolate (more like cocoa powder), chili pepper, and clove. Spicy chocolate!

Dry: I'd say this is fairly similar to the wet stage... only spicier. I'm definitely amping up the chili pepper note. There's a very slight plastic note popping up as well.. maybe from the chocolate? I'm a bit disappointed the pistachio note didn't appear at all.

Not my thing, but I'm glad I tried it!

  8. Wet: Honey musk, amber, and a hint of peach. (Reminds me a little of "O", plus peach.)

Dry: Peachy-honey musk, and amber. It's sweet, but nothing candy-like. While on the lighter side, it's quite pretty! (I wish I could smell almond, though.)

If O and Lady Una had a baby, it might smell like this. (Or maybe O and Aglaea?)

  9. I had to look up Ginjinha -- it's apparently some type of sour cherry liquor. Good to know!

Wet: Starts out with the cherry liquor, a tad bit of almond, and some red musk.

Dry: I'm getting kind of a rancid baby powder scent, plus cherries? Not sure what happened there, but it's not working with my skin chemistry.

  10. Wet: Ohhh, this is such a bright, juicy citrus scent! The pink grapefruit is the strongest, with the mandarin following closely behind.

Dry: Unfortunately, this is fading wicked fast on me. (Like after 30 minutes, it's almost gone.) The scent is the same as the wet stage, but it's just not nearly as strong.

I really, REALLY enjoyed this scent, even though my skin ate it up. I think I'll end up adding it to a hair product; this scent will be perfect for summer!

  11. Blueberry-filled sufganiyot, blooping blue with jelly.

GUYS. Guys. Not to sound (too) dramatic, but I've been DYING for a blueberry sufganiyot scent.

I am beyond excited to get my hands on this and try it out.

Wet: Very rich blueberries! Like a rich blueberry jelly or jam. There's a slight hint of a pastry note, but the blueberry jelly is pretty strong.

Dry: I'm trying to think of a word that's better than "delicious" but I'm coming up short. This is an incredible, rich, blueberry jelly donut scent. While the blueberry jelly scent is still stronger than the pastry note, it's much more prevalent when the scent dries down.

I had stupidly high expectations for this scent, and I'm not disappointed at all. I may need a backup bottle, which is rare for me.

I've just been JAMMED. (... at Jamm Orthodontics.)

  12. Wet: Coconut and vanilla. Very, VERY creamy.

Dry: The sweetness amped up on the dry-down! Still a very rich, creamy, coconut-vanilla scent.

Coconut is not something I typically like, but I think I'll hold on to my decant. If you're a coconut lover, I think you'd really enjoy this!

  13. Wet: Pumpkin, booze,  and leather. A little on the foodie side.

Dry: Incense, leather, and vanilla. No longer foodie at all, but I do think I like this stage better than the wet; this stage is a little bit "cozier".

It's not bad, by any means, but it's nothing that knocks my socks off either.

  14. Wet: Ginger, tea leaf, and mandarin. It smells like a bright citrus tea with ginger.

Dry: The same notes I noticed in the wet stage are present, but the bourbon has showed up now as well. Everything blends together so well! It's a very interesting and refreshing tea scent, with a slight kick from the bourbon.

I almost passed on grabbing a decant of this, and I'm so happy I didn't. This might be upgraded to a big bottle!

  15. 2018!

Wet: Sugary sweet black cherry brandy. Yum.

Dry: Most of the sweetness has faded, and the black cherry is incredibly light now. The brandy scent itself has taken over, and it's just... not my thing.

Wet stage was a winner, dry-down not so much.

  16. This sounded like my perfect foodie pumpkin blend.. but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed.

The maple is stronger than the pumpkin IMO, and the pumpkin is more of a freshly picked pumpkin, rather than pumpkin pie.. pumpkin.

Not reading as "donut" to me at all. Bummer.

  17. Wet: Blackberry cream and gingerbread. I wasn't too sure about how I'd like the combination of blackberries plus gingerbread, but it's quite nice! The gingerbread is only slightly pumpkin-y.

Dry: It's a hit! The blackberry cream isn't really reading as "frosting" to me, but there's definitely a sweetness from it. The pumpkin gingerbread is lovely, and everything combined is foodie and fabulous. If I had to choose, I'd say the blackberry cream is stronger than the gingerbread.

I'll be upgrading my decant to a bottle!

  18. 2018 version!

Wet: Sugary incense, and soapy florals. Rose, I think?

Dry: Not for me; whatever floral note is hiding out, has totally taken over and put the blend in my "soapy floral" category. Too bad.

  19. Wet: Dead leaves and incense. A little bit sweet, but not necessarily reading as "vanilla incense".

Dry: Now THAT is vanilla incense! Vanilla incense, with a touch of dead leaves in the background.

I like it! I don't really "crave" dead leaves scents too often so I won't need a bottle, but I think this is my favorite DL scent I've tried.
