    In Silvery Accents, Whispering Low

This is so stunning. Right out of the mailbox it seriously smelled like nothing so I gave it a few days to chill, and it's beautiful. Very cardamom and coffee heavy on me with a warm, smoky background. Absolutely a comforting, wintery scent that I see a lot of people loving.

    Frostbitten Snake Oil

This is stunning. Snow White is my favorite BPAL hands down. I even wore it at my wedding. I've never actually owned a bottle of Snake Oil, but Snake Charmer is a favorite of mine (actually wore it on my first date with my husband!) This really combines the elements that I love from both of them. I'm definitely going to need at least one bottle of this, probably two and I do NOT buy backup bottles! It's almost all Snow White at first, that cool almondy blast that I love so much, but as it dries down the Snake Oil gives it this rich, earthy undertone. It's so sexy and gorgeous but it manages to be cozy at the same time. Love it!

    Thirteen (13): October 2017

There was no way I wasn't going to get this. October 13 this year was my first wedding anniversary, and seriously it's like this scent was tailor-made for me. Literally every single note is a LOVE note for me. Wet: I get a whiff of the coconut first that fades quickly into vanilla and benzoin. It reads as rich and creamy without being overtly sweet. Dry Down: The coffee comes out to play, deepened by the molasses and sugar cane. In All: This is LOVELY. I've lost my taste for the really super sweet foodie perfumes in the last couple years, but this manages to have foody and sweet notes without smelling like a sugar bomb at all. So glad I got two bottles!

    Perchta

I'm doing a massive purge of all my imps, so I'm trying things that I haven't touched in ages, and it is the weirdest thing, but Perchta smells EXACTLY like celery on me. It's impressive how accurate it is, but not something I want to smell like.
  5. Snow Storm is pretty much the perfect winter scent IMO. I have two bottles. I adore anything with pine!

    Scent for Halloween?

I went as Sin, so I absolutely slathered myself in Hellfire because I think it smells like evil church. My boyfriend couldn't stop sniffing me all night.

    Samhainophobia

I really wasn't expecting to like this one. I WANTED to like it, but both Death of Autumn and October were absolutely vile on me, so I was despairing over finding the perfect "autumn leaves" scent. SO GLAD I got an imp of this. In the bottle it's very earthy with a hint of smoke, and on my skin it's smokey leaves with spices and an unexpected hint of sweetness. The balsams round this out very nicely for me because I ADORE pine in all forms. (Black Forest is one of my absolute favorite scents.) This is the first blend I've tried with vertiver in it, and I was a bit nervous because a lot of people seem to really hate vertiver. Luckily, my skin seems to like it! After quite a few Halloween disappointments, (Twisted Oak Tree was 100% ivy on me. No lovely smokey wood scent at all ::weeps: I'm in love. Totally ordering a bottle.

    Pumpkin III (2007)

I don't get any pomegranate out of this at all which really bums me out. To me this smells like Jack with white chocolate mixed in. This is the first scent with a cream note in it, and for some reason the cream smells very cool on me, almost like the sensation of smelling a very cold mint without the actual mint scent. Odd, but I kind of like it. Sadly this has zero throw on me. I covered my wrist in it TWICE, and I still have to press my nose against my skin to smell anything. I'm definetely keeping my imp but no bottle for me. It's too close to Jack and my skin eats it.

    Lightning

Lightning slashing the midnight skies over the endless reaches of the ocean. The electric tang of ozone, marine notes, and a drop of sharp rain. I was very nervous about trying this one because I wanted to like it, but all the dryer sheets comments scared me. I HATE the smell of laundry detergent. Well, this didn't turn to laundry on me, but it was just.....odd. I was picking up an almost floral note with it for about half an hour and then it just disappeared. I have to press my nose against my wrist to smell anything. The tiny bit that stuck around smells a bit like the beach. Hopefully this isn't what's going to happen to me with all the ozone scents since I just ordered a ton of Yule decants and I will cry if the snow scents don't work on me. Okay scent, but I don't love it. Off to the swap pile.

Autumn Scents - recommend the ones you love

I would HIGHLY recommend Samhain for you. I'm the same way - I want the autumny scents to work on me, but I can't deal when they get too much like cologne. I actually like Samhain even more than Jack. Where Jack is foody/buttery/peachy on me, Samhain is pumpkiny with all of those other nice autumny notes, and is still really wearable. On me it wears just like the description - fall-y, woodsy, and then spicy fall pumpkin, and (for me anyway) absolutely NO headache in sight. I'm getting a bottle of it for sure. Oh I'm convinced. Jack is like the epitome of awesome for me, so if Samhain is even better I MUST have it!

Autumn Scents - recommend the ones you love

I was intrigued by Bonfire Night, but put off by the idea of a scent with beer in it. Is it just a background note with a hops smell to it? I get a lot of smokiness off Hellfire, and I like that so Bonfire Night sounds appealing except for the beer part. Pumpkin II sounds good. Pumpkin I is definetley a no-go because I can't stand Jasmine. Is the orange strong in Pumpkin V? Because that one just sounds lovely.

Autumn Scents - recommend the ones you love

I'm pretty new to the wonderful world of BPAL, and, luckily for me, my first order of imps was awesome - Jack, The Hesperides, Black Forest, and Gomorrah. I ordered Hellfire as well, which I don't adore like the other four, but is amazingly good on me considering that it seems like a very masculine blend. I ordered some decants of two of LE autumn scents - Death of Autumn and October and they're both VILE on me. As soon as they touch my skin, they turn into cheap men's cologne. I'm really bummed because I wanted to love those scents. I was thinking of ordering a bottle of Samhain, but now I'm a bit nervous. I LOVE Jack. For those that have tried Samhain, does it have similiar notes? Or does anyone have any recommendations for me? As a rule, I avoid all florals. My skin intensifies them so much that I get an instant headache. Foody, spicy, or herbal scents seem to work a lot better for me, but October was very grassy on me, and I was not a fan of that either.
