Since the other ones I got already have pictures up, I just uploaded Sugar Skull '08 and Pumpkin V '08 to the label art gallery.

I think this is my new favorite scent. Def. going into my top ten. It is the cinnamon blend I have been searching for. It's smells EXACTLY like warm mulled apple cider, heavy on the cinnamon and cloves. Thankfully, I am not one of the people that has problems with cinnamon on my skin. If I was I think I would cry and throw a tantrum. Many, many bottles of this will be ordered.

This is so odd. I got the pumpkin in it for the first 5 minutes and then it just went straight to the cranberry/strawberry. I don't get anything else at all. It's not bad, but I was hoping for a bit more pumpkin. I may try layering it with another pumpkin to see if that works.

My Mom always wore Opium. Anyway, Baghdad is the one that I have tried that really reminded me of Opium.

I don't know if anyone else is getting this, but Marianne on dry down smells an awful lot like Schezerade on me!

Usually I like to wait until I have tested a scent at least a couple of times before reviewing or really forming an opinion. But...Dionysia is love at first sniff. Completely. When I first saw the notes I was excited because it seemed to have quite a few in common with my beloved Crypt Queen. I am not disappointed. On me, this is smelling like a mix of Crypt Queen and Spiked Punch, without the musky grave smell of CQ. I am in love and will need to seriously stockpile bottles of this one!

I am quoting myself and bumping this in hopes that someone can help me solve this! *begging* Please? I don't have any first-hand advice, but I couldn't just leave you flapping in the breeze... Have you skin-tested your new imp? Still no scent? My first instinct is that you got an imp from the top of the batch, so to speak - the batch settled out a bit, leaving the heavier spice & resin oils at the bottom of the reservoir. Or, brand new Chimera may be very mild, only deepening after it's had a chance to age for a while. My only experience with it was a 4th or 5th-hand frimp in a swap, and it was definitely a thick, strong oil at that point. Anyone else want to chime in & debunk my half-baked theories? I agree with what you've written, or it's just plain ol' mis-labeled. Chimera is, to my memory, veeeeery strong and a dark orangey amber. Yeah, the first imp I got of it is exactly like that, dark ambery color and very strong. This other one is totally clear and I just re-tested it and nothing. So strange.

Because KaliV is an amazingly wonderful friend, I got the chance to test a wee bit of this. There was just enough left in the imp to test a small patch on my skin. I usually suck at reviews, but I will try a bit harder for this! In the vial..it was hard to tell color for me because there was literally just a drop left in, but it seemed like it would have been a beautiful golden color. The smell was like pure, fresh orange pulp. Wet on skin...this reminds me of those orange slice jelly candies, the ones that have a coating of sugar on the outside and are both super sweet and tart as you bite into them. Dry...I am getting more of a honey/floral, like orange blossom now. I am not normally big on orange smells other than very fresh oranges. This however, is simply GORGEOUS! This is an orange scent I would wear, and wear often. I am so grateful to get the chance to test this. It was totally unexpected and when she told me that she would be sending it to me I was almost speechless. Thank you honey!! Oh, and I plan to pay it forward and pass the sniffie along to my witchee in the Switch Witch round.

I don't get any of the dusty tomes and polished oakwood halls, but that's ok! I DO get Irish Cream laced dark french roast. When I first got it fresh from the lab, it had a sharp, almost plastic smell to it. I let it sit for a few weeks before trying it again and now it smells fantastic. I never thought I'd end up loving so many *foodie* scents!

YUM! Really, that's all I need to say. If you are a ginger lover, BUY THIS RIGHT NOW! It does smell very similar to Gingerbread Poppet, but with a little more spice and a little less of the sweetness. A little darker.

Another sad one for me. It seems that all but 2 of the snake pit scents end up smelling like straight Snake Oil on me, and this is no exception. I do get a hint of leather in the beginning, but after about 10 minutes, pure SO. *sigh*

I get nothin' but Snake Oil from this, which makes me sad. I am hoping that if I let it age more the other notes may come out. I am not sure how *aged* the decant I got was though.

This reminds me of the incense that they used to burn in this little antique and curio shop that my Dad and I used to frequent when we lived in Jakarta. It is gorgeously spicy, warm and musky all rolled up. Red musk and me, well, we tend to get along very well. I have also noticed that as it ages it gets deeper and even more beautiful. I think I need a few more bottles to cellar!

This is what I was looking for when I bought Death Of Autumn. Don't get me wrong, I *heart* DOA, but October is more...I dunno, perfect? To me it smells like wet leaves that are just starting to turn. Like someone else mentioned, I get GREEN when I smell this. Like the way it used to smell down by the creek I used to play by when I was a kid, yeah, like damp ivy. I LOVE it!!!

This is one of my new obsessions. First one I tried was the '04 version that I recently bought on Ebay. It's like pure carmelized brown sugar. I literally had my wrist glued to my nose for at least 20 minutes. I think this may be more addicting than crack and heroin combined. Then today I got a bottle of the '07 version. It is not *quite* the same, I get a hint of booziness in this one, but still amazing. I put it on about 4 hours ago and can still smell it. I did not get any of the fruit smell that some people mention, just nummy brown sugar. I have a decant of the '05 version on the way to me and I'll add in a review of that one too. I do hope that I can find more of the aged stuff, or that it gets released this year again and I can stock up. I was just getting into BPAL last year when the Halloween scents were up and didn't pay as good attention as I should have. Now I know better.

Other UK people have received theirs and I am still waiting. I would go ahead and email CS. They are absolutely wonderful in trying to help out. I have an imp of Chimera from one of my first lab orders last year. It is gorgeous. It smells strong and wonderful and is a deep amber color. I got a frimp of it today with a package from an ebay win. This one is also from the lab, but it is almost clear in color and has almost no scent to it at all. What gives?

Nope, I have never gotten a cobalt bottle from the lab and I have a couple of bottles from the Mad Tea Party. I think that portalkat is right and those notes are just left over from before. I do think the cobalt ones are pretty though.

I *finally* managed to track down more than just the 1/4 imp that I had. YUMMY! Alcoholic Hawaiian Punch. This actually reminds me of the boozy fruit in the sangria that my friend Meshel made all the time. I think this is going to be an awesome summer scent, although, I have a feeling it's going to make me want to drink lots of fruity boozy drinks.

This makes me want to eat my arm. Thankfully, I don't smell popcorn, 'cause that would turn me off. I get a slight hint of peanuts and LOTS of caramel. This smells like a caramel irish cream latte, with nuts. Seriously debating a second bottle.

I was a little worried about the honey in this, since me and honey have a very hit or miss relationship. OMG! This is absolutely GORGEOUS! As with others, the first thing that popped into my head when I put it on was RED! And then after a bit..green! I am not a floral fan, unless they smell like the flower and the greenery, and this does. Oh boy, I just suck at trying to describe stuff. I will be buying a bottle of this! ETA....Just wanted to add this in. The more I wear this the deeper in love I fall. I have to slow down because I am already halfway through my imp and I haven't ordered my bottle yet!

Strike two for me on the Pharmacopoeia scents. I am ok with patchouli in some blends, but this one didn't work. I hate to say it, but it almost made me gag and I had to wash it off immediately. Even after scrubbing and wiping my arm with rubbing alcohol, washing again, and then using witch hazel, the smell lingered on. This is some super potent stuff!

Reading all these wonderful reviews makes me super sad. Something in my skin chemistry did not like this at all. It smells wonderful in the imp and at first it was all root beer and vanilla. Then it turned to plastic. I have never had any problems with vanilla turning on me, so it's got to be something else that's doing it, but I haven't a clue what.
