I got this as a frimp with my last order and I never would have chosen it on my own. My mom always said that yew trees smelled like cat pee, and while that's not really the case with this blend, it is doing the medicinal thing oakmoss usually does on me. Off to swaps...

When I put this on yesterday it was heavy on the lemon with a light whiff of coconut in the background, and yes, it was suntan lotion coconut. Today there's less lemon but the coconut is still light and the scent does not last very long at all. I was so hoping for a black coconut orgy with this one, but it's weak and just not my thing. I'd rather go to Death Adder for my coconut needs.

I got the chocolate right away and it's thick, spicy scent reminds me of El Dia Des Reyes, but with a grapey undertone which must be the red wine. The chocolate isn,t overpowering and it reminds me of a good night with friends. Wine & chocolate is a perfect ending to most nights.

This barely smelled like anything to me. When I did finally smell something it was the faint odor of flowers, and florals are not me, so the Countess was swapped away.

When I tried this on at first (a few months ago) the milk note was amped to the max, which I found odd but okay. It didn't turn sour like lots of other reviewers mentioned. Then the other day, after trying out Strangler Fig and loving it I put Milk Moon on again. This time the fig and dates were much more prominent. I'm glad I held on to my bottle, because I definitely forsee this being one of my top scents this Spring.

In the imp this smells like dusty pebbles. On my skin I get rose right away and then something that resembles housepaint. Luckily though, when dry this is just dusty roses. Glad I only have a decant though.

A wonderful antidote to an all-nighter oozing with drunken, addled perversion and debauchery. A fresh, crisp white linen scent: perfectly clean, perfectly breezy. This smells like laundry detergent to me, which is not a good thing. I prefer my laundry to smell like fresh air and not scented detergent. I'm not keen on smelling like detergent either, so Dirty is not for me.

This is a sweet blend, perhaps overly so. The floweryness (Osmanthus?) is so strong and sweet it becomes cloying. I can't help but wish that more of the musk or ginger would come out to temper it, but this blend is heavy and sweet and I feel like I've been smothered in a thick layer of honey on a hot, humid day.

When I first pulled this bottle out of the box I thought it smelled spicy and lovely, but opted to try Sugar Moon instead. Today the bottle had a slightly different scent, more like Queen Alice (one of my favorites). When I put it on just now, it had the unmistakable note of unwashed bodies in the background. Quite unpleasant. I blame it on the bitter clove. However, this faded and then disappeared and I'm left with a spicy incense scent unlike any spicy BPALs I've tried before (Wolf's Heart, Bathsheba, Blood Amber, Hades). I'm so glad this one morphed. It really is quite lovely and though I only dabbed one wrist it has an amazing throw. I still smell the clove in there too. This is everything I wanted Valentine of Rome to be.

I certainly get hypnotic from this, but I'm not loving it. This was one of my bedtime scents before I discovered TKO.

I'm a huge fan of violet, but this is a pretty boring blend. I'd rather have something with a bit of a kick like Ultraviolet or Saturnalia. I'll be staying away from the flowery violets from now on.

This is a grown up and more sophisticated version of Love's Philosophy. The vanilla has mellowed and there's a creamy quality to it. This is one of those rare BPAL oils that smells like a blend of perfumey notes, without having one too many sickening sweet ingredients that spoil most department store scents. I got a bottle. How could I resist?

Well I've discovered that moss is my bane. Thanks be to Penis Bells. Whatever niceness I get from this scent is overwhelmed by this medicinal, almost moldy background note. Oh well.

This has the same smoky quality of La Befana without the violet and with caramel and burnt sugar. It seems more red than purple, fittingly enough. I'm not interested in a bottle, though I'm glad I tried it.

Mmmm! This reminds me so much of how my ex boyfriend smelled the night I met him, and it's all the black coconut. I only wish it lasted longer on my skin, but I look forward to wearing it on hot summer nights.

Wow, I glopped the wand from my decant of this on my arm without sniffing it first and what a mistake. I never would have put it on my skin had I smelled it first. This must have the same cinnamon as Priala, an overpowering, super concentrated cinnamon that kills me. I really thought I was a cinnamon lover until this blend made me realize that it was only going to work in things like All Night Long. I'm happy with most of the other Snake Pit scents I've tried, but this one is just gross.

I wore this all weekend after trying it out on Thursday. It's a lovely blend of fruit, vanilla, spices and something that can only be described as sultry. I've never tried Snake Oil, but I certainly want to now. I just worry that I'll miss the berry that Australian Copperhead has. I'm considering getting a bottle.

Wow, this is the first time I got Play-Doh from a BPAL oil. Luckily that does not stick around. What began as lemony Play-Doh turned into a lovely woodsy, slightly fruity, amber spice scent. Nice enough, though I don't think it will be one of the Snake Pit scents I get a bottle of.

This reminds me a lot of Ravenous (orange & patchouli). In fact, I'm getting the same headache inducing plastic smell off of it. Oh, that and spiced latex. Well, I guess now I know what to skip over next year.

in the imp : Lysol on my skin : something that reminds me of the vomit inducing smell in Pruno verdict : already been swapped away!

Hmm, I got spicy church incense straight from the decant, but on my skin all it I'm getting is CLOVE. Not a bad thing, mind you, but I'm not particularly interested in a bottle of it either.

Wow, I love this. It's spicy without being heavy and floral without being sickening sweet. I wish I could pinpoint which of the notes listed I like best, but I have no idea what I'm smelling here. I am going to seek out more opoponax blends in the future! I highly recommend this for people who want to like florals but don't and who think scents like Bathsheba, Wolf's Heart & Blood Amber are too heavy.

In the imp this smells like nail polish remover. I put it on my skin anyway though and was greeted with the same hospital smell I found in Cathode with just a hint of BO following along. Thanks but no thanks!

Severin went from anise to lemon and back to anise again with a brief whiff of flowers before it disappeared completely. I don't think I'll be hanging on to my imp.

When I opened this for the first time tonight I let my husband sniff it and he said "It smells like birthday!" Once I put it on I got the wintergreen everyone's been talking about. It was strange because it smells nothing like that in the bottle. The wintergreen faded to the root beer foam smell and now it's just a vague and sweet buttercream, not at all overpowering, and quite lovely. So glad I got a bottle right away!
