Wet this is sweet rose with a hint of spice. When first applied it smells the same and is soft and pretty. The hint of spice comes through- I think it's cinnamon. Ah, yes after reading the description now I see that's what it is. There's a nice warmth to this one. I really like this one a lot! It doesn't change much on me, just warms up and mellows out. It's truly amazing to me how Beth can create so many different rose blends that are each stunning in their own way.

Wet this smells like very strong, sweet, thick cherry. When applied this is VERY STRONG CHERRY!! It is cloyingly sweet. Did I mention the cherry??? Very quickly it starts to calm down and smells almost like root beer on me- strange. It mellows into a nice soft floral. I like the drydown on this but the cherry is just too strong for my taste.

Wet this smells herbal and clean. It goes on very lightly and smells a bit woody- bamboo maybe? This is a green, fresh, almost soapy scent. I've tried this a couple of times and it seems to have helped me sleep well. It's calming. I think I'll continue to use the imp and will try out some of the other Dream blends to see how they compare in terms of therapeutic effects. *update- I've used this a few more times now. I don't know if I'm imagining it but it seems like as soon as I put this on I get a little dizzy. I've noticed a pattern in that it helps me fall alseep fairly quickly but then about 3 or 4 hours later I wake up. So far it seems that this happens every time. I want to try Temple of Dreams next and see how that one works.

When first applied this smells a bit musty, bitter and sharp all at once. I also get that earthy/dirt smell from the patchouli. There's a faint fruitiness too. I couldn't really identify it as specifically apricot though. I also get the mysterious "pencil shavings" note in this one. After a few minutes the fruitiness really developes. After a couple of hours this smells peppery with that pencil shavings note still lingering. This one is not for me.

This is not a strong scent on me. I can smell the jasmine and the powdery myrrh. It's a bit musty and "thick". After a few minutes a hint of rose comes through. This dries down nicely and is very feminine. Really nice but not one I need to get a bottle of.

At first this smells sweet and a bit sour. There's also some hint of a wood or resin. Very quickly a mint and eucalyptus scent comes through. After reading the description I see that it's actually juniper. This is a freshwater scent and not an ocean scent. It turns sweet and floral on me. I was expecting this to be a much darker saltwater scent. It's okay but not for me.

On me this is a very soft rose and powdery myrrh blend. It's quite lovely and very feminine but it smells very similar to Blood Rose. Since I have a bottle of Blood Rose I'll be swapping this one.

Wet this smells very juicy to me, and I detect pear. It goes on very strongly at first but then starts to change pretty quickly. It smells like strawberries and cotton candy, very feminine. This one is intriguing. There's definately something about this that I like but it's not on the "must have a bottle of this" list. I'll have to try it a few more times.

At first this smells bit citrusy and almost a bit soapy. It's very fruity in an almost tropical way. This stays really sweet for a fairly long time but dries down beautifully. At this stage it is very similar to Persephone due to the pomegranate. I'm not sure about this one yet. I'll try it a couple more times but it may just be too sweet for me.

This smells woodsy at first with a hint of cool menthol- almost like a breeze. There's also a bit of pine. This is a very light, crisp and clean herbal smell. I was expecting a deeper, darker wood smell. This one is nice but still not the perfect woodsy scent that I'm hunting for. I think some people would really like this in springtime and it would probably work well on men too.

In the bottle this smells very familiar to me. It smell like this perfume my mom used to wear called Jean Nate. When first applied this is very floral and definately smells like some generic department store perfume. It's fairly light. After a few minutes it intensifies and almost smells a bit like the original version of "Poison". This dries down very nicely and is similar to Athens at that stage. I'm still undecided on this one. It's very very nice and seems like a great nighttime scent. I'll have to try this a few more times before I decide if I want to keep it or not. *update- I only wore this one twice and decided it wasn't for me. I didn't find myself reaching for it again. It's nice but just so-so for me. I ended up giving it to a friend for her birthday and she loves it. She said it was similar to Wildfire- I've never tried Wildfire so I can't compare it myself. I'm glad it went to a good home though- my friend is already halfway through the bottle!

In the bottle this smells like lemon to me. When first applied, it smells like lemon menthol. After about an hour it smells floral and a bit nutty. I don't get any of the fig, chocolate or rum notes- just lemon mostly. Oh well. I ended up swapping this one.

I was drawn to this one because of the ancient Greece theme (I'm half Greek) and also the notes in it. I bought a 5ml unsniffed and am really glad I did. When first applied it smells slightly resinous and spicy with some floral undertones. There's also a fruity note which I guess is the fig but it smellls more like deep purple grapes to me. This has really good staying power and changes alot the longer it's on. In the very final stages it smells very faintly of figs drizzled with honey. This is a real stunner for me, beautiful and complex! Here is an interesting link more info about the Hetairae link

At first I get a floral smell- maybe gardenia with a hint of spice. After a few minutes the plum comes through. Then it softens and develops a very fruity scent. This one is nice but not really me. It feels like it's for a very regal, sophisticated older woman. And it's definately more of a dressing up or evening fragrance.

Wet this smells like rose and sweet cherries and is a bit similar to Persephone. It's a crisp, clear red rose. It turns very soft and powdery on me but in a dusty or woodsy way and not in a baby powder way. I think I will probably wear it most in cooler weather. I really like this one and am glad I bought a 5ml unsniffed. I'm finding that you can't really go wrong with any of Beth's rose blends.

For me Dragon's Heart didn't have much dimension or complexity to it. It's very soft, powdery and a bit woodsy. It's sweet and cherry-like. It's nice but just doesn't do much for me.

I recently got an imp of this one (2004 version). This is the most lush, beautiful, pefect freshly cut rose! There's really not much more to say about this one because it is so perfect. It stays the same all the way through and that's a good thing. I really hope this one comes back this winter. Absolutely gorgeous!!

Samhain 2004: I recently got an imp of this and am already searching for bottles on eBay. This is gorgeous!! At first this smells very soft, floral and a bit resinous. It's kind of hard to describe. It smells smoky- like real smoke from a fire. There is a definite apple scent in here too in the middle notes. It dries down very soft and lightly sweet. This is a very unique blend and I feel really good wearing it. I am hoping this will be brought back again this fall. Another truly stellar creation from Beth!! I did end up buying a bottle of this in the spring of 2005. Samhain 2005 I love the 2004 version of this so it was a no brainer that I'd be ordering a bottle of the 2005 version. My 2004 bottle is still pretty full but that didn't stop me On to the review- wet this is the same lovely blend of spicy apples and autumn leaves as the 2004 version. When first on it's spicy apples with a hint of smoke. In the background there's a bit of honey (at least to my nose there is). After several hours I can smell hints of patchouli. This is very similar to the 2004 version but is maybe a bit softer and sweeter- this might just be due to the aging of the 2004 bottle I have. Either way this is spectacular!! Lovely

I recently got an imp of this as I missed out on the Yule update last winter. In the bottle it smells like sugar cookie dough- yum! However on my skin this smells like pure cinnamon and nothing else. Just cinnamon. I'm so sad this one didn't work for me. Oh well, I will add it to my swap pile.

Though March marks the end of the desolation and chill of winter, it is not yet Spring, the time of rebirth, fertility and the Earth’s fecundity. March’s Full Moon is a Virgin’s Moon, pure, youthful, unsullied and innocent. This is the Moon of the Child, and the scent is as soft and gentle as a baby’s breath: milky blossoms and soft cream touch the last buds of winter, coupled with crystalline, bright traditional Lunar oils. This is the first lunar blend that I've tried and I' really pleased with it. Wet in the bottle it smells very buttery and almost like cheesecake. I was a bit worried because foody scents don't seem to work well for me. The first few minutes of wearing it, it smells fruity and sweet to me, almost like a faint hint of pineapple. After that fades this turns into a very light, soft and creamy scent- quite lovely and perfect for spring! If Chaste Moon was a color it would be the palest yellow. I will be coveting my bottle of this for sure.

I tried an imp of this because I the Athens blend and was wondering if this would be similar. Also being half Greek I just had to try it. It starts out with a sour, fruity note on me. I guess this is the honeyed wine. Then it turns into almost a sage note but I think that's probably the bay and/or laurel. It ends up turning very sweet and heavy on me which I don't like. I was hoping for something with more incense and smoke. Oh well. I'll stick to Athens for my ancient Greece scent.

WOW WOW WOW!!! This is truly worthy of a Goddess!!! (I feel kind of dorky saying that but it's true). This starts out with a lovely almond note. After several minutes the almond begins to fade and a lovely warm amber develops. I can't quite pick out the other notes in the blend such as the saffron and cardamon but I know they must be there because there is a complexity to this blend that develops as it dries down. It dries down beautifully mellow. Bastet is very sensual, slinky and calming at the same time. Truly gorgeous and another one on my big bottle list!

This one was free in my last order and is a perfect scent for me- the Lab must have been reading my mind This is a really beautiful blend especially for anyone that loves roses (myself included). It goes on with a top note burst of lemon that's breezy and cool. Then the rose develops and is very fresh smelling, more like petals. As the scent mellows and dries down, the apple comes through. It is a warm apple smell, more like apple juice than the fruit itself. I can definately see a big bottle of this in the future!

I really wanted to like Cathedral because I was looking forward to an incense smelling blend. Unfortunately that's not how it smells on me. In the bottle and when I first put it on it smells like pencil shavings to me- particularly it smells like graphite- yuck! It's sharp and biting. After several minutes it softens into a sweeter, warmer scent. I'm not sure what the note is but it smells exactly the way Belladonna does on me in the dry down. I wish I knew what that note is because I'd like to avoid it in other blends. It might be a green type of scent, maybe it's cedar as some people have mentioned. This doesn't smell like incense at all to me. Oh well, I guess I'll keep trying until I find a good incense blend from the Lab.

This is the first Limited Edition blend that I've tried and now I can see what all of the fuss is about. Snow White is truly gorgeous!! It was love at first sniff for me It starts out very warm and almondy on me. It has the same feeling as freshly fallen snow. There is an innocence to this fragrance. The almond note blends into a wonderful soft vanilla. It's not a sickly sweet fake smelling vanilla but rather a really nice and "true" vanilla. I was suprised because I usually hate vanilla fragrances. There's also some other note in here that I can't quite identify- it smells almost like a type of melon to me. The vanilla softens and takes on a creamy, sugary quality. As others have mentioned, this is a warm snow scent which makes it so interesting. It's not a cool or minty snow scent that you might expect. This is a perfect blend for winter and I really hope it will be back again next year!!
