I never understood why people would eat candied flowers but now I do. This is exactly like the lab's description-- violets coated with sugar! It is a delicate scent but does manage to last about 3 hours on my skin. My daughter has taken to this one and I don't want to share! Guess I'll be adding backups to this (and Hope) too.

    Doc Constantine (2006)

In the bottle and wet: Lemon? Pure lemon sours. Dry down: OK, now the Doc has been drinking lemon sours while wearing a leather jacket. I bought this for my son and he dislikes it because it smells like lemon Pledge on him.

    The Host of the Air

Yep. This is green. This isn't a sharp green that tickles your nose. Maybe dew covered grasses? This goes back to childhood memories (back before I feared ticks and had seasonal allergies) when I could roll around in a grassy field with sundry wild plants and watch the clouds. Beth- you captured Spring in a bottle!

    Tweedledum

Yummy! The tart fruity scents are really starting to grow on me with the warmer temps. In the bottle & wet: Pucker inducing tart mango! Dry down: Still tart but more like a mango dipped in sugar. I don't get any patchouli from this one at all.

How to make a paypal order.

Arrgh! I've been doing CCNow for two years! I will fix that for sure on the next order.
  6. I have a natural spray I purchased locally that works fantastic (and not toxic to the kiddos either). Her description says she uses citronella and eucalyptus essential oils. If anyone is interested, she has fantastic goat's milk soaps, lotions and soy candles and really great prices- plus she is an incredibly nice person too . Chickenmash Farm eta: The BugOff spray even keeps those biting flies off of us while fishing or eating outdoors.

    Brown Jenkin

Mmmmm- love this one! It does not morph on the dry down and I don't get incense from this at all. I get pure smoky coconut. It brings to mind the first time I got to eat fresh coconut after drinking the milk- a dry coconut. The smoke adds the feeling of a summertime picnic with a bonfire. This scent makes me ready for winter to end!

    Thirteen (13): February 2009

In the bottle: I can make out the ginger and brown sugar. Where's the chocolate? Wet: This smells so much like my Butter Rum Cookie without the rum! Dry: Ginger and spice. There is almost a dry, dusty undertone...very faint but it reminds me of opening a bag of ginger snaps. I got compliments on this one all night This is a winner and I'm so glad I got the second bottle

    Milk Chocolate Buttercream

This is pure chocolate decadence. You know how when you are on week 2 of a new diet (feeling deprived and throwing internal pity parties)-- that's when everybody at work brings in fresh baked goods and boxes of chocolate....You are behaving and politely say "No thank you" when Jane puts that dang box of chocolate in your face only she leans over and breathes that rich chocolate breath in your face and asks "Are you sure" and you just want to grab the box and snarf the chocolate without using your hands? That's what this smells like. Rich, melt-in-your-mouth, truffly Heaven that stays close to your skin and makes you want to walk around huffing your wrist while your stomach growls.

    Giant Vulva

Oh yes, this is delicious! In the bottle: Beeswax and something tangy- must be the copal. Wet: Tangy, slightly musky beeswax Dry: soft and lovely musk with a tangy bite that borders on floral. Lordy, this scent reminds me of my love. I want to track him down and bury my face in his neck--grrrrrowl Sigh, I think I'll need a back up of this one.

    Khrysee

In the bottle: the amber has a heavy resinous scent over a pale orange blossom. Wet: the orange blossom moves to the front with a creamy flavor. Dry down: very light, feminine, creamy orange blossom. I don't get a creamsicle orange scent like Ravenous, it is very floral. I normally don't like girly floral scents but this one is made of win I'd love to get this one on DD because it is so pretty! I just got my hands on a second bottle because I will be sad when she is all gone.
  12. Oh. My. This is fantastic! I bought it after reading the reviews and fell in love after just sniffing the bottle! It reminds me of something my mother used to wear back in the 70's...At first I smell the patchouli and then something a little tart and fruity came out to play. After an hour or so, I can pick up a touch of the vanilla that makes everything a bit creamy. I think this one can actually take the place of my one perfume love (Victoria's Secret Original "Victoria") Must get more bottles! eta: Oops- this one one of my early posts. This smells nothing like the original Victoria. I just meant I found a perfume I adore and could wear every day without getting sick of it.

Lick It Like You Mean It

I can't really add much here but this is exactly what you expect. Pure candy cane. My skin sucks this up just as fast as the Eggnog 2007.
  14. I am almost out of my stored stash of the original VS perfume. It was my signature scent for years. The citrus is pretty light-- maybe grapefruit? The florals are kind of dusty. I think there is a hint of lily of the valley but I can't place anything else. I normally dislike florals but this has a distinct "Victorian lady" dried petal scent. I'd love to find a similar BPAL considering I will eventually run out of this even though I have it stored carefully in the fridge and use it only on very special occasions. eta: I'd be happy to spritz some paper for Beth to see if she can figure it out. There's a whole forum of folks wanting this stuff back and I just saw a bottle on eBay for close to $150

    Has No Hanna

OK, I actually liked this scent. It was pretty floral and girly (I thought). My daughter came running over to give me a hug goodbye this morning and asked "What smells like a pickle?" I held up my wrist and she giggled "Yep. Pickles." I let the boy sniff to confirm and he wrinkled his nose before saying "Pickles." I took another sniff and of course, all I could smell was dill and some light floral notes. I really need to get a scent locket.

    CCNow Questions & Problems

I read a very old thread where the USPS had updated their system and there were problems with the C&S. I breeze through my spam before deleting it because I lost a message from an old friend of mine who I would have dearly loved to talk to. I figure a lot of my messages go where the second sock and the other earring wind up... I'm just whining and impatient because money has been so tight lately and this is the first real treat I've given myself in ages. I feel like my kids on a long car trip "Is it here yet? Is it here yet?" The frimps are always like a gift within a gift and make opening a new order that much more fun

    CCNow Questions & Problems

Are you interpreting the "shipped" status at CC Now as being the actual ship date? Because if so, that's probably where your confusion is. "Shipped" on CCNow only means the lab is working on the order, not that the order has actually shipped. The order does not actually ship until the CnS email comes through from USPS. I've noticed my CCNow order status switches to "shipped" about 7 days (on average) before the order actually goes out from the lab. Hope that helps! Oh I was all excited thinking my order was on the way and I could go to work this weekend smelling all pepperminty. (With the added bonus of telling friends the perfume name is "Lick It Like You Mean It"!) Well, I know it is on the way, I just thought it was shipped already. I have yet to get a C&S message until after I have my sniffies in my hot little hands, or I don't get one at all.

    CCNow Questions & Problems

Every time I order, the C&S either fails to arrive or I get it the day after my order arrives. I know my last order shipped 11/29 from the CC Now site but still no C&S. Is it just me?

    Bengal

I've been going through my imps and weeding out the ones that can go to more loving homes and tested this one tonight. In the bottle and wet Hmm, I know this smell. sniff It brings back memories of living in Florida but I can't place it. sniff Wait! That's pepper tree. It smells exactly like pepper trees from when we went on long rides to Alligator Alley! Drydown How do you morph from pepper trees to wassil? Warm, spicy, ginger and clove wassil! It seems my skin doesn't like this (although my nose does). My wrists are getting red and itchy.

    Hecate

Wet: pure almond, almost marzipan scented. Brings back memories of Christmas past when mom would make marzipan fruits from molds. Dry Down: sweet floral. The almond quickly faded to the background. 30 minutes later: Powder? Frackin' Johnson & Johnson baby powder!

    O

I don't know if I can add much to the reviews but OMG-- this one takes me back to a special romantic weekend where we hardly left the room. Yep, I totally get that sweaty, musky body heat smell coupled with honey powder. I am resisting the urge to call "him" and set up a torrid and hot meeting! Glad I bought the bottle with this one and I will need to get more...

    Vampire Tears

I got this one as a frimp with my first order. Initially, I thought "Meh." I'm not big on citrus scents (due to a tragic exposure to a scent drencher in the 80's). I decided to try it and with the dry down, it totally smells like Nerds candy on me. I like Nerds. I like them so much, I tracked down a 5 mL of this one and find myself battling with my daughter, who wants to smell like a "Sweet Tart" (it does on her).
  23. topaz

    Ravenous

I just got this one as gift with my order from pinkusmolestus on eBay. First sniff: Um, yeah. That's orange. Almost like the oranges with cloves stuck in the skin to preserve them. Initial application: Orange-sicle. Fresh from the ice cream truck. Dry down: This went from orange to baby powder on me. Pretty scent but I wish the orange had lasted longer.

    Egg Nog

Sweet brandy, dark rum, heavy cream, sugar, and a dash of nutmeg. OK, I don't have much to add with this one but WOW! It smells exactly like the eggnog my mother used to make at Christmas. Yummy! I let mom take a whiff (since she bought it for my Christmas prezzie and all) and she was floored "That smells exactly like...eggnog!" My skin does seem to suck it up very quick (less than an hour) so I'm glad I'll have two bottles of this one.

    Perfume to match songs?

for that VAST song, I'm thinking Wanda or Perversion Wanda reminds me of Led Zep's "Since I've Been Loving You"-- the whole smoky, blues bar, lazy seduction kind of thing.
