In the bottle: That kinda smells like spiced cough syrup, which is a rather unfortunate smell. It's not even cherry flavored cough syrup, it's more that original flavor that no one knows what it really is but you gag it down anyway because it's supposed to make you all better. Lies. Wet: Ummm...well...it's...different. I don't know. This has some of the same spice notes that The Chariot had, but whatever else is in here does not mix with them as well. I smell like medicine. Dry down: Still that medicine smell along with the slight spice in the background. I'm not sure what's in here, but I really doubt that I'd wear them unless I was forced to at gunpoint. Clove. I'm pretty sure that there's clove in the background of this somewhere. Lurking. Dry: Well, it's calmed down a little. Most of the "OMG, drink me. I'm cough syrup" smell has died down, but the cloves are still marching on. Hmmm...I'm getting the same kind of slight fruit scent out of this that I did from The Chariot. I wish the forums were up so I could read what others have said about these scents. This one lacks the sour note beneath it all. Getting to this stage of the scent is pretty painful, however, and I'm not sure it's an experience I'd want to reenact. The clove is mixing with something that's sweeter, but I'm still not sure that this scent is anything I'd wear.

In the bottle: What's with me getting all these fruity bubblegum scents lately. It's not a complaint, really, just a comment. I've been getting a near-endless stream of vaguely fruit/pink bubblegum scents to try. It's kinda creeping me out because it's very Lolita-like. Anyway, this has a fruit bubblegum sugar scent but also a strange whiff of some kind of spice in the background of it as well. Wet: The spice comes out more once it hits my skin but there's still the lingering sense of fruity pink gum to it. Up close it kinda smells like spiced gum. I don't know. I'm not very good at picking out notes when I don't have an idea of what I'm really looking for in the scent. But there is sugar and something fruit-like althought it's a pale, sweet, artifical fruit scent more than the fresh fruits in some of the other blends. Dry down: The throw for this is very pink gum, but on my skin the scent is much different. It's spicer and more sure of itself. There's also something in it tha might be a little sour, but still manages to smell pretty good. I don't think I ever would have bought this if eldritch hadn't suggested the purchase. I'm not sure that this is even something I'd wear on anything resembling a regular basis. Although I do keep Libra basically so I have my astrological-themed scent. Why not the same with this? It still smells like some kind of fruit. I'm just not sure what. I like this the longer I wear it. The pink scent is very innocent and sweet but underneath it is this stronger, more mature note, which I think reflects me pretty well. Dry: Still the layered fruits. The top being very pink and sweet and the background one that sticks closer to the skin more ripe and thick with some kick to it. I have no idea what the notes in this might be, but I do kinda of like it. I have no idea how much I'll wear it, though. ETA: It has a slight mulled wine, clove, spice scent to it, but it's also sweet, sweet. It reminds me of a sweeter version of Tintagel minus the underlying sour note that was in that. A warm scent.

In the bottle: Cherry blossom and I are enemines but it has tea so I had to try it. It smells like green herbs and too sweet rotting fruit. I have no idea what kaki or mikan smell like. I can detect the yuzu, however, but it seems to be too strong and sweet in the bottle. Wet: This is a very green scent. It smells like different leaves and things that I used to pick when I was a kid. There is a slightly sweet note to it all, but it's oddly hidden by the overpoweringly green, which has a stink about it. These are not fresh green; they are overpowering green. Dry down: There's an odd bitter note to it all that keeps this from being a very nice blend on me. I'm not sure what note has reacted badly with my skin this time as the cherry blossom has not made an appearance. The tea is staying away, too. The yuzu tries to win out against the strong, bitter green but only makes things worse. Something about the play between bitter and sweet on my skin makes this blend smell fairly rank and medicinal. Dry: Bitter green herbs with a little yuzu in the background. Too bitter and strong on my skin without any indication of tea. The smell is interesting, but it's nothing that I would want to wear.

In the bottle: Light, airy aquatic (yikes) with something slightly floral (smells like apple blossom to me) mixed in with it. It's hard to really pick out the different scents in this because it is really light and fresh. On it goes. Wet: Apple blossoms. Slightly sweet but very light and with a subtle tart edge to it. There's also something else in it that's like grass or some kind of herb. Very, very light, though. Hardly an afterthough of scent to it. Dry down: I don't know if there really is any apple blossom in here or if it's just my mind interpreting the scent that way, but that's what it smells like to me. It's a slightly watery apple blossom scent, though. Like something you'd find in a candle or as dryer scents except that this lacks that aquatic note that always goes to fabric softener on my skin. It kinda smells like soap. It's a very clear smell if that makes any sense at all. It's a scent to wear when you want to smell like very little but you want to smell fresh and clean. It's a good light scent that's barely there. Dry: Slightly apple blossoms scented soap. I haven't decided whether I like this or not so I'll have to keep it around for a few more trial runs. It is an interesting blend. It's just so faint, though.

In the bottle: Kinda like candy but with an odd backnote that makes the sweet seem a little dangerous. Heliotrope is very prevalent in the bottle as well as a little of the lemon verbana. I have problems with orange blossom, though. Wet: Lemon verbana and...spices? I swear it smells like allspice and some clove, maybe cardamon. Dry down: Lemon verbana is the top note in this on me, and I'm gonna to gather that either it or the heliotrope is responsible for that vaguely spicey note I smell in this. That or the orange blossom. There is a faint orange kinda scent leaking out around the rest of it now. No honeysuckle yet. This is just...spicey. It's like lemon spice on me, really. Like lemons and allspice. It kinda reminds me of a cleaner, one of those powerful citrus ones that makes your nsoe curl a bit. But it's still kinda nice because it isn't all cleaner; it just has a cleaner edge to it. Dry: I'm guessing that on me this has decided to be only lemon verbana. I just get this vaguely spicey lemon/floral note. It's like lemon licorice really, which is interesting but I'm not entirely sure that I want to smell like lemon licorice.

In the bottle: Rose scented bubble gum with an odd background note to it that's slightly like sour fruit. Ah, lotus. Depending on how you're blended you are either the prettiest thing in the world or simply too much for me. Let's see what this one holds. Wet: Bubble gum and rose. This is like Persephone but a little more...I don't know. This is more apple and rose than pomegranate and rose. This has a tartness to it whereas Persephone has more sweet, which is interesting given that this is loaded up with the lotus. This smells like apples on me, tart apples dripping with sticky juice. Dry down: Barely there freshly cut apples. My skin is devouring this blend leaving me pondering whether I like it or not. It's so odd the combination that these flowers have produced on my skin. Rose usually blooms out like nobody's business and lotus also comes out fairly strong on me. Hmmm...maybe the two have cancelled each other out or something. It's coming back a little now. It still smells like apples with just a little bit of rose in there. Dry: It smells like apples. I don't know what's doing it. Apples with the faintest breath of rose in the background. And now the roses are a little more prominent. Very faint, though. Apples. Apples and faint roses. Not a terribly bad blend but this lacks staying power and is really a little light and eccentric for my taste.
-
In the bottle: This is a heavier, more complex blend than what I was expecting. I can pick out the moss instantly, which is probably a very bad sign given my past relationship with moss. The florals are mixed together well enough to make it hard to discern which is which. And, sadly, no mandarin as of yet. Wet: Sandalwood and flowers. Lilac. Lilac with a background note of sandalwood. I've always had a fondess for lilac, really. Such a pretty little thing. Dry down: Still floral but no longer discernible as to which one it is. The other notes are all blending together in this one making it hard to pick anything out of it when I sniff my hand. The rose is light but there. It's the only scent that really stands out on its own. Everything else kinda blends together . Dry: I don't know. It kinda smells like very high quality soap. The moss and the various woods give it a nice background note and the flowers are a little generic blended together. So that it basically smells like a really expensive, nice soap. Which is cool but not me.

In the bottle: Very spicey in it with something that kinda smells fruity as well. This is very exotic. I think I can detect some cardamon in this, but I'm not sure. I'm wary of all the herbs and spices because it's already make my eyes tear a bit. Wet: Wow. Pepper. Something strong and herbal with a slight pepper bit to it. It's very...it's very me going through and sniffing the various spices we have in our kitchen and then not being able to tell them apart because I've just smelled all of them. It's...there's something very familiar in it even though I have no idea what it is. Dry down: Now there's something vaguely fruity/herbal in there. Still making my eyes tear a little and the herbs are still a little strong for me. This smells a lot like walking into a pagan store and getting hit by all the incense or the little Indian store we have at the local mall. The fruity smell is kinda green and sharp. The pepper is mostly gone, but the herbs are still nice and strong in this. I get more herbal/spice than I do floral, but the itchy eye thing that's going on does not bode well. Dry: Ummm...tonka. Something chocolatey or...I still think there's cardamon in this. I'm almost positive. Also...ground ginger. This is very Indian smelling to me. Unfortunately, just like that lovely Indian shop, it's giving me one of the worst headaches of my life so off it must go.
-
In the bottle: Um...ew. Yes, that's sweet pea and sage in there. A bit strong in the vial. I was hoping for tonka love as sage hates me, and I have a slight grudge against sweet pea. Wet: Oh no. Sage. I hate sage on my skin because it, like most of the herbs, turns completely funky on me. Also a little bit of the sweet pea. Dry down: Sage with a tonka background note. That's a little more like it. I enjoy the tonka smell even if I have to get through the...oh no. Bye bye tonka, hello sweet pea. For some reason this is giving me a slight headache. Dry: None of my pretty musk here. Mostly sweet pea and sage with a little bit of tonka in the background and a whole lot of headache. Sorry, eldritch I'm not interested in this one.

In the bottle: Finally got my hands on an imp of this. I've been meaning to try it and then forgetting to order it for months now. Ummm...it's weird. I can pick out both the eucalyptus and the mint. and, yes, it does smell like metal but not so much flowers. It's not the fresh kind of mint either as much as it is breathmint mint. Wet: Breathmint. With a little eucalyptus in the background. This smells kinda powdery and metallic bright. Dry down: Um...still the mint with a little ecalyptus but there's something powdery and odd in the background here. It might be the violets as I'm not positive that I get along with them. It still reminds me of Andes mints in the tin with all the powder around them. Very much mint, powder and metal here. Dry: Still there little violet or neroli, which I'm not even sure what that is. But that powdery mint/metal smells remains. It has a very fresh, clearing your head out of cobwebs kind of scent to it. I doubt that I'll buy a whole bottle of this ever but I'll keep the imp around as the clear, bright mint/metal smell if fairly refreshing. There's the faintest touch of floral in the background but it never really comes out enough to be noticed.
-
In the bottle: Terribly sweet in the vial. Smells like water and even apple blossoms for some strange reason. There is the faint lily smell, but it is not overpowering as of yet. Wet: Very sweet and still smells like apples with some lily to me, which is odd I admit. Also has a somewhat candy smell to it. Very sweet. Dry down: The sweet stays in the throw, but the smell on the skin is waxy and heavier. The throw is quite lovely, though, if a bit too sweet for my tastes. And the heavier floral on the skin doesn't really appeal to me very much. It gst almost an incense type smell on my wrist. Much more floral then I would have guessed possible for this blend with that throw being as sweet as it is. Dry : The sweet throw reminds me of some other blends I've smelled, but it is not really my thing. The smell on the skin is a lot heavier and is probably the result of those lilies hating my skin once again. Oh well. I wanted to give this a try, but it does not love me as much as I had hoped it would. And now it's gone terribly powerdy and basically vanished.
-
In the bottle: This is the scariest color. It's a very dark, reddish brown that kinda looks like tobacco juice. The only thing that jumps out from the imp are the woods and the laurel, two of my problem notes. I was hoping the white musk and the mandarin would be prevalent. Oh well. Let's test, shall we? Wet: Woods and laurel. Very strong. Very, very woody. It makes my eyes start to tear up to smell it and, yes, it is burning the skin of my wrist, which is always a bad sign. This is not sweet on me. None of the fruit or floral notes seem to want to come out and play. It's just wood/laurel. Dry down: Still the woods. The laurel has even faded down. Thankfully, the burning has stopped. I can say that unless it changes to something very lovely I won't be wearing this again. The boy will probably adore it, though. The throw lets me catch whiffs of the other scents but never dominant enough to make up for the heavy wood scent of this. Dry: This wasn't as bad as I had feared, but it ends up smelling like woods and BO on my wrist. That and the burning makes this a doomed blend for me. I'll give it to the boy. He drools over the wood blends.

Hail unto Thee who art Ra in Thy rising, even unto Thee who art Ra in Thy strength, who travellest over the Heavens in Thy bark at the Uprising of the Sun. Tahuti standeth in His splendour at the prow, and Ra-Hoor abideth at the helm. Hail unto Thee from the Abodes of Night! In the bottle: Herbs of doom and something that smells like a menthol cough drop. Wet: Very green. I'm not sure what it is, but I'd guess that it's some kind of herb in it. The mentol smell is gone, but I can pick out the frankinscense that has been mentioned on the forum reviews. The herbs are still around, though. Dry down: Umm...my skin ate all the herbs (thankfully) and left me with a frakensense/resin smell, which is...better than rotting herbs but still rather unpleasant and slightly medicinal. Dry: A rather medicinal resin type smell. Yeah. So not me.

In the bottle: Honey, fig and ylang ylang in the vial. I know that I don't usually get along with scents that have fig, clove and patchouli so trying this one is really just e experimentaing. It's a interesting, warm smell that perfectly matches the lovely color of the oil in the imp. Wet: Oh, and then it goes all funky on my skin. And yet not. Hmmm...fig and...honey, I think mostly. In the background is the patchouli and the ylang ylang. Dry down: This dries fast. And the fig has decided that it's in charge. I'm not a big fan of fig. Something about it just bothers me. It doesn't smell bad; it just smells off to me. That doesn't make any sense. Fig and honey. Everything else has basically disappeared from this. It does have a slight, odd tonka lingering note to it as well. Dry: Fig and honey. This blend isn't at all bad. In fact, it's one of the best honey blends I've tried so far, but it really isn't me. It smells like food and, besides Eggnog, food scents and I do not really get along very well. And, oh, here comes the patchouli and the inevitably patchouli headache. Washing off.

In the bottle: Sit down and shut up ozone. This kinda knocks me away from the bottle when I open it. I did not get this bottle with me in mind because aquatics and I do not love each other. But I still have to try it, you know. This smells like fabric softener before it even hits my skin so I'm slightly worried about what it will do when I put it on. Wet: Fabric softener and enough ozone to make my nose tingle when I smell it. This is so not a me blend, but I want to try it anyway. Dry down: Ozone, rain and fabric softener smell. This is what I was afraid Thunderbird would smell like so I'm eternally grateful that Thunderbird has such a lovely sweet, fruit smell to it rather than a real heavy ozone scent. This is heavy rain. A very heavy oil if that makes any sense. It's less fabric softener and more ozone than most of the other aquatic blends, but it's still not anything I'd really wear as it's a bit too...I don't know...masculine, I guess. It reminds me of deodorants and body washes that the boy gets. Dry: Ozone with a little fabric softener and a heavy rain smell. Not for me, but I think the boy will love it.
-
In the bottle: *whines* Musk. I can smell it, and it's not the pretty white musk that loves me to pieces either. It's the "I will eat your soul" musk. I'm also detecting some very green notes rather than anything floral. None of the woods are out yet. Wet: Oh no. It's doing that evil herb rotting on my skin thing that lavender blends do. This is very sad, my friends. Yeah, evil herbs and some rosewood. Dry down: Evil herbs with both rosewood and sandalwood. Not a nice blend on me at all. Things are rotten in Denmark. And on my wrist. Dry: Evil herbs and rosewood with the sandalwood in the background. The evil herbs of doom, though, remain the dominant note. Washing off.
-
In the bottle: Wow. Strong. This has notes that remind me of rose and resin with a little bit of something else in it that I have problems trying to pin down. Wet: Cherry but not the cough syrup cherry. This is a spiced, resin soaked cherry. There are nice floral notes in this as well. Rose, I think. But it might be something else as well. I didn't think I was going to like the whole dragon line, but this one and Dragon's Milk are surprisingly nice. Dry down: As it dries, it gets a little more punchy, though. That incense/resin/cinnamon smell comes out of the rest of it more. The rose is still in the background, but it's not as nice as it was wet. Except that now the resin scent fades into the back and leaves me with a slightly spicey rose. This is a warmer rose smell than some of the other rose blends I have. The cherry in the background is also coming out a little more than I might be comfortable with. Dry: Oh...that's sad. The resin comes out more leaving the rose way, way in the background. Just as well, though, because I really don't need any more blends. And yet not it has an odd chocolate/resin scent. Weird. While this has some lovely stages, it's just not for me. I think I'll stick with my slightly sweeter, more tame Dragon's Milk.
-
In the bottle: OMG. It's root beer. It's root beer with a little bit of an incense kick to it. Wet: Root beer and incence. I can pick out the cedar and I know that slightly sweet scent is the lotus, but it smells like root beer on me. Root beer. It's just so weird. Dry down: It's a slightly woody/incense root beer. It's not a bad smell by any means. It's just so...odd to me that it smells so much like root beer to me. It kinda makes me want to go to A&W and get a root beer float. Yummy. As it dries a little more, though, the smells start to separate and the root beer smell becomes less prominant. I can now make out the cedar as well as the lotus. The spices and the other wood notes are discernible in the background. Dry: Oh, I kinda miss the root beer. The lotus and most of the spices have disappeared completely leaving me with a very cedar scented hand. Well, it was fun while it lasted. Yeah, cedar and sandalwood. I'll throw this at the boy. He'll love it.

In the bottle: Honeysuckle in the vial. A nice, strong, sweet honeysuckle. I've tried this blend once before, but I never got around to sitting down and properly reviewing it. Wet: Honeysuckle and other florals. This is a light, fairly clean floral when it goes on. It's sweet without being overpowering. Maybe honeysuckle and some kind of white floral. Dry down: Hmmm...a slightly plasticy floral now. This reminds me of those little plastic dogs and cats they had that were lightly scented and came in the little perfume bottles. It's not a bad scent. This time the blend is a lot whiter than it was the first time I tried it. It's not bad, but it has an odd waxy note that wasn't there before. Dry: The white floral and honeysuckle stays around as well as the background note of a lovely, light rose. This isn't the full, heavy rose of Persephone or Moon Rose but is a lighter rose. A white rose or a tea rose, maybe. It still smells like those little plastic toys, though. I do like Chuparosa, but I doubt that I would ever buy it in any quantity bigger than an imp.
-
In the bottle: Wow. That's strong herbs. I can definitely pick out both the laurel and the bay. The honey wine is far, far in the back. I think it just adds a touch of sweet to it. Wet: Well, I got interrupted in the middle but I see what eldritch means about the transformations. It started out very herbal and then went pretty and sweet from the honey wine I guess. Now it's got a sweet, almost chocolate smell to it. Dry down: Sweet chocolate scent with some herbs in the background. It's making my eyes tear a little, though so I doubt that I'm going to be able to keep this on around for any length of time. I did want to try it. The herbs are there but they've been tempered by the honey wine scent. It's a nice scent that's not too heavy but has enough sweetness to keep it from smelling like an herb garden. Dry: Now it has an overly sweet, almost floral smell to it. The herbs are still lingering in the background. And now a weird anise smell is coming out of it along with a headache, which is not good at all. Yeah, this is an odd herbal/anise with a light sweet to the back of it. And a headache. A horrible frontal lobe headache.
-
In the bottle: Ugh. Very strong lavender and just an background note of the bubble gum sweet lotus. I can detect spices in it, but I'm not sure what kind they might be. Lavender note of doom! Maybe anise. It kinda smells like licorice. Wet: Lavender. And it's already turning kinda rotten and disgusting on me. This is kinda rank. The lavender is really killing the sweet lotus and everything seems to be rotting on my skin. Dry down: Lavender is my doom note. Nothing with it smells good on me except Envy and that's not even "good" just bearable. I can pick out the nice, bubblegum sweet note of the lotus but the lavender is just not helping matters at all. The throw is nice and sweet but on my skin it's this horribly rotten, rank smell that's just...I don't know why my skin hates lavender the way it does. Dry: Something rotten and decayed again. Not a good smell at all. My skin and lavender do not get along, but lotus is growing on me.
-
In the bottle: Herbs and wine with the dirt in the background. This is fairly overwhelming in the bottle. It also has a vaguely sweet smell to it that I can't really detect where it's coming from. I hope it calms down on my skin. Wet: Herbs and wine with a little bit of dirt in the background. And something that's sweet. This does have a very mature, refined air to it. Though I have to be very careful with herb blends. Dry down: On me, this smells a little bit like dish soap. It's not bad, but it's kinda strange. I mean, I can detect the herbs and a slightly sweet scent when I try but the prevading smell is one of dish soap. Odd. Ummm...uh oh. eldritch just mentioned the fact that this is slightly aquatic and here comes the fabric softener scent. Dry: This is an odd mix of dish soap in the throw and fabric softener on my wrist. It's not bad except for the fact that it seems to have kicked my allergies on. It was worth a try, though.
-
In the bottle: I don't know about this. It has a fruity rotteness that reminds me of apricots. March Hare did not do well on me so this blend scares me a little. There's also a vague herbal note to it that I can't really identify. Wet: Yeah, sweet fruit on the verge of rotting and some kind of herbal in it as well. It has that vague bubble gum note that seems to be lotus. Dry down: Ew. Now it's more of a slight fruit with some very strong olive and herbal notes. It has a really bad salt tang to it as well as an overpowering herbal scent to it. It smells like herbs. Dry: Herbs and olive tang with a slight background sweet fruit. Washing off.
-
In the bottle: Grape Kool-Aid. No, seriously, it's Grape Kool-Aid. Not just any Grape Kool-Aid, either, this is the kind with the fake sweeter my mom used to get me because she didn't want me adding real suagr to it. It smells just like the powder. Wet: Grape Kool-Aid and clove. This is kinda nasty. It's like aged Kool-Aid. Maybe that's the wine. It doesn't smell like wine, though. It's...it's like a grape version of wassel in that it has the same kind of spice background note to it. Dry down: Yeah, Grape Kool-Aid meets wassel. Not the best smell in the world. It's kinda like a candle, though. Some grape spiced candle. Dry: Spice grape that is being eaten by my skin. It's not something I'd wear, but it also doesn't require washing off and at the rate it's being devoured (like after 3 minutes it's almost gone) it'll be gone soon.
-
In the bottle: A soft, light, slightly sweet scent that reminds me vaguely of The Unicorn, which is a favorite of mine. It's mostly flowers and a little bit of a dewy/airy scent in the bottle. The wood and herb notes scare me, though. Wet: A sweet, light floral. This reminds me a lot of The Unicorn. It has a slightly sweet, bubble gum note to it, but the palid florals are simply lovely. There's maybe the tiniest hint of a wood note in the background but nothing that's overpowering as of yet. Dry down: Now the wood is rising to the surface and giving the scent an odd kind of smell. The florals are fading into the background and the dusty woods are taking over that slight sweet smell. The herbs are coming out a little more, too, now though I can't really discern one from another without a hint of what they are. Dry: Mostly herbs and woods now with just the peeking out of a slight sweet floral backing note. While this is nice, the resemblance to The Unicorn is what I liked about it. I have a 5ml of The Unicorn on order, though, so I think I'll end up sticking with that. I am pleased that neither the wood nor the herb notes have caused any kind of allergic reaction, though. Yeah, this smells too much like woods and herbs on me.
