Had this one for a while and had the perfect thing to wear it to today -a Yoga for Peace event the local studio hosts. (It was outdoors, so I wasn't overpowering my fellow yogis.) Wet, it was all sandalwood and cedarwood. As it dried down, it smelled stronly of incense and spices, which is odd, since nither of those things is listed as notes. Not what I was expecting, but still pretty nice.

In the bottle and on my skin, this smells exactly like clean, sun-warmed hay. Very very nice. And then it goes away. It only lasted about an hour, if that. I really like it though, so maybe I'll try it as a room scent.

In the bottle: Hmm, what *is* that smell? Holy crap, it's Juicyfruit gum! Wet: still juicyfruit - oh noes! Drydown: Whew, no more Juicyfruit. Now it's just green, grassy, leafy. A little later: I can smell a hint of floral, which I guess is hibiscus. Still later: Mostly leafy and grassy. After the drydown, it's nice and green, just like I like. Great summer scent.

I got this as a decant from the lovely doulsen and finally got 'round to trying it. What I'm smelling is smoky and humid - like a campfire in the midst of the rainforst. Wet and green with smoke drifting through. It's different enough that I'm very interested in the scent, glad I got the decant.

I want a BPAL that smells like Bath & Body Works...

I like Sea Island Cotton. But it is different. No suggestons from me, sadly. I was kind of wondering how Kumiho and White Tea & Ginger compare, since they're (in theory at least) the same notes. -
On me, this is straight-up two of my favorite scents – sandalwood and vertiver, playing together nicely. So it’s a natural that I like it.

I really wanted to like this one – others’ reviews have been so evocative. However, I got none of the fey, wild, scents most everyone else seems to get, I just got a harsh, sharp floral which I’m guessing is the orchid. Not very pleasant and sadly not for me.

I smell the fig, and something green. I like it, kind of light, maybe, but right up my alley. Incidentially, this was a big hit with my 6-year-old and 4-year old nieces. If only their mommy would let me get them some!

I expected to actually like this - I thought the almonds and spices would be nice, but unfortunately, all I got was orange and rose, and then it went to the dreaded soap in about an hour or so.

I got this as a frimp. For me, it smells of two distinct things. First I smell dirt - not "dirty" dirt, but the nice rich loamy smell you get from a freshly turned garden in spring. And then, it smells like cafe mocha, but not the drink, the smell you'd get if you'd stuck your nose in a bag of mocha-flavored coffee beans. Neirther scent is unpleasant, kind of nice even, but not really something I'd want to smell like.

I really liked this, unfortunately, it didn't like me. I totally got the forest, piney, smell but as I wore it throughtout the day, I started to develop a migraine. As soon as I washed it off, I felt better.

I really wish I'd gotten to know this one sooner, before it was discontinued. It's a nice, dry, sandalwoody, dusty scent on me. I don't get flowers so much as I get herbs on top of the wood note, but that's exactly the way I'd want it anyway.

Ethereal musk, blonde woods, and dusty Bible accord. My first review! Ooh, I like this. Instead of the dry book smell others are getting, it starts out as a very musty-book smell, which I actually like. For me, it is very evocative of the stacks at the library of my university. Then what I believe is the musk kicks in a bit and softens it up. It’s not exactly the kind of scent you’d wear to feel sexy, but perfect for a cloudy day when you just want to feel comfortable and curl up with a good book. (Which for me is most of the time, heh.)

BPAL scents appropriate for very young children?

I wore the Apothecary at my sister's house over the holidays and I was greeted with cries of "Aunt Ginspu, you smell Goooood!" from my six-year-old and three-year-old nieces. So I dabbed a tiny bit on their wrists with the wand, and all afternoon, they kept smelling their wrists and having others smell them. "We smell good too!" I so want to get them an imp each, but I fear their mommy won't let them.
