I believe that this is my favorite scent to date. I've been wearing it every day since I got it a few days ago. I've gotten tons of compliments. People haven't seem to be able to pinpoint what the are smelling, just that is "smells good" or "like a spa". I can't pinpoint it either.. white florals, that aren't cloying or too strong.. blended with other things.. creamy..clean..a little woodsy. Love it! I can't really comment on the protection/cleansing aspect of it just yet. I know when I sniff it, it makes me feel good, like taking a breath of really fresh air.

What are the best oils for arousing one's own sexual desire?
yaluna replied to AcadianSidhe's topic in Recommendations
My sex drive lately has been crappity and I feel bad for my boyfriend. Are there any oils that are particularly good at getting one in the mood for lovin'? (And this would be for me, NOT him.. he doesn't need any help!) -
This is one of my favorite perfumes, I get compliments on it all the time when I wear it! Unfortunately the woman who makes it seems to have severely cut back on her perfumery business and I haven't been able to find this perfume in her etsy shop for ages. Is there anything similar to this by bpal?

I'm still undecided about this one. So far it smells like rotting, moldy apples on me, but I can tell that it's trying to be something wonderful. I'm going to give it a little more time and see what happens.

This is my first aquatic scent, and I'm thinking that maybe they just aren't for me. I don't really like the ozoney/sharp smell, it's very strong on me wet and dry. It makes my nose tingle and I had to wash it off. Oh well - off to swaps, and to make someone else happy

In the bottle: Hmm, grapefruit, nice and fresh. Wet on my skin: Grapfruit still.. and now something else is coming through, something sharp and green - pine? Dry on my skin: Eeeeeek. Goodbye grapefruit, hello kitty litter! I dunno what it is, but on me, it's icky. I can sorta smell flowers in there somewhere.. but the kitty litter smell is just too much.

I received this imp as a gift from the lab in my SiA order. So kind! Anywho, I must be one of the few that this seems to work on. I've never smelled opium before, and I'm unfamiliar with civit, so this was a totally new experience for me. When I put it on wet, it smelled rather floral, like rose or jasmine, quite heady yet with some earthiness that seemed to ground it out a bit. At first I thought it smelled like foral soap, but that quickly faded away as it dried. Once dry, it is still a bit strong, but now I think what I thought was floral was really the sweetness of opium. The other smell that I just can't seem to pick out must be the civet, it is pretty faint. The musk is nice as well, pulling everything together. Now while I like this smell, I don't know if it fits my personality. Hmm. I'll try it out again in a few days, and see what happens.

In the bottle: It's a wonderful irish coffee smell, yum! On me: It only takes about 3 seconds for the irish coffee to completely fade, before all that's left is some kind of wooden/playdoh/plasticy smell that I don't think I really like. So disappointed! This was my second try.. so I'll give it another chance in a few days, and see if for some reason it changes on me into something I like better (which has happened before..).

I was really looking forward to this, but alas, was not for me. In the bottle - SWEET PINK! On me: Very very very very VERY strong pink sweet smell, syrupy, way too much. Blah. Then the florals come in just as strong, so strong that they don't smell anything like flowers anymore,.. more like something rancid. It's all just too much. I had to wash this off.

On the first whiff, it smells like I've been in the kitchen all day! Wet, the strongest smell is nutmeg and allspice, with something green underneath, and a touch of wood. The nutmeg and allspice fades a little on drydown, and the sharpness of the green peeks through a tad. After a while the woodiness also comes out to play, and helps to tie everything together. Overall I like it, but not on me, it's a little too masculine.

I thought I would really like this, since I typically love lavender. Wet: Very bitter, almost sour, strong lavender - very sharp. Dry: The sharpness has mellowed a little bit, and now it's more of a dusty sour lavender. Not sure if I like this one that much.

On me, Pele is a very strong white floral - jasmine maybe? The floral is all I smell, it's pretty heady and tickles me nose. This isn't quite for me, though I'm sure someone else would love it. To the swap pile!

This is delicious, I can't stop sniffing myself. It came as a gimp from the ever-generous Lab, and I'm glad they sent it because I wouldn't have thought to get it on my own. In the bottle - it smells fruity and floral On me wet - Spicy Grapefruit, though there's more there that I just can't identify. On me dry - The sharpness of the grapefruit fades fast, and there's something lightly sweet that's starting to peek through. It smells smoother now, and very clean and light. My skin seems to soak this up, so for me this will require a more liberal application. Yes, I do this I will get a bottle of this come summer. Good job Beth!

I swabbed my wrists and collarbone with this gimp this morning. In the bottle, I smelled dark chocolate.. or rather, cocoa powder, not sweet milk chocolate. Wet: The cocoa powder turns into a smoother smell, with something sharper coming in from the background Dry: The sharper smell is stronger now, is that the vetiver? Chocolate turns into dusty leather. Not bad. Overall: Too masculine for me, but I would like this on a man if the vetiver tones down a little.

Nummmmmyyyyy. On wet, the vanilla is a little stronger, but once it dries it's delicious.

This was a gimp from my most recent order, so I really had no expectations for this. I just spilled about half of it on my leg, soo right now the smell is pretty strong. Wet: Bug Spray. Dry: Softer bug spray. It's a very clean bug spray, though. While it doesn't smell horrid, I don't think I'll order a bottle of this.

I loved this one too! When I first put it on, it was very orangey-vanilla, with a hint of something in the background. Then it dries, and it's wonderful. The orange on me turns into a very clean orange blossom-y smell, not foody, which I like. The orange is then warmed and smoothed out by the vanilla, and the narcissus gives it a bit of darkness. Yum

I was expecting something totally different based on Jezebel's description. Wet: Sweetly orange, with the sandalwood balancing the fruitiness. Dry: On me, it smells like floral baby powder. It's not bad, really, it's quite soothing. Not sure if I would want a bottle of this, though. ADDED Jan. 8: I tried Jezebel again today and received a compliment, though I still am not too crazy about it. It's still smelling like floral babypowder to me. The girl who complimented me called it "Old School" and she seemed to dig it, though agreeing on the powdery scent. She said to her it smelled like roses. I'm passing the BPAL word around..

I reallly wanted to like this one, and since I love sandalwood and lavender, I thought I would. But on me, it's allll jasmine, very very strong jasmine, and I thought I smelled magnolia in there too. I didn't get a hint of lavender or sandalwood. My nose tingled and itched after sniffing it.. I'll try this one again in a few days, to see if my skin just needs to adjust to it.

Deedededede *skip* My first revew! Snow White: In the bottle: Lightly sweet and plasticy - oh no! Wet on skn: Some kind of floral, very delicate and creamy. I can't tell what else is in there, though there defnately is more. Maybe a tiny hint of coconut in the background.. and citrus? Dry: The floral is less strong, and all the scents are more rounded out and mingled. I'm not much help on this one, but I do like it! It wasn't anything like I expected. I didn't get any cherry or almond, which I am pleased with. ETA: So it's been a couple weeks, and I've decided to swap my bottle. As I kept wearing it, I kept smelling this cherry-plasticy tang that left an aftertaste(aftersmell). Something in it just doesn't seem to like my skin. It's going to a new home, though, where a swapee will surely treat it with all the adoration it is due.

So now I'm worried that, once my imps arrive, I'll fall madly in love with them and use them up in a matter of days and will have to wait a month until we can once again be reunited. Weep! I have normal skin I suppose, not too oily or dry, and I ordered a 5ml of Snow White and Imps of Blood Rose, Snake Oil, Jezebel, Veil, Fae, and Oneiroi. I would like to be able to have my scent noticed by other people, perhaps within an arms distance or so. When I put just regular lavender oil on my wrists and neck, it can only be detected by sniffing the site of application, it doesn't really 'waft in the air' as I'd like. Will these be able to last me for 5 weeks? Should I wait a week or two and order a couple more imps to fill in the gap? Additionally, are there any special ways of applying for maximum effectiveness? I think using carrier oils or adding drops to lotion will help to stretch the scent out, but would it be as strong?
